00:00:00.000 Hey everybody, today on the Charlie Kirk show.
00:00:01.000 Producer Andrew co-pilots the beginning of this episode and then Congresswoman Lauren Bobert joins me for the remainder.
00:00:07.000 Email me your thoughts as always freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:00:09.000 We're live from Turning Point USA's Student Action Summit in Tampa, Florida.
00:00:13.000 Here we go.
00:00:13.000 Buckle up.
00:00:15.000 Charlie, what you've done is incredible here.
00:00:16.000 Maybe Charlie Kirk is on the college campus.
00:00:18.000 I want you to know we are lucky to have Charlie Kirk.
00:00:22.000 Charlie Kirk's running the White House, folks.
00:00:25.000 I want to thank Charlie.
00:00:26.000 He's an incredible guy.
00:00:27.000 His spirit, his love of this country, he's done an amazing job building one of the most powerful youth organizations ever created, Turning Point USA.
00:00:36.000 We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives, and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country.
00:00:44.000 That's why we are here.
00:00:47.000 Brought to you by the Loan Experts I Trust, Andrew and Todd at Sierra Pacific Mortgage at AndrewandTodd.com.
00:00:56.000 So, Andrew, I've had a very busy morning.
00:00:58.000 I've seen a little bit of the news.
00:01:00.000 I talked to our Turning Point USA chapter leadership summit.
00:01:03.000 There was something that happened in New York, an assassination attempt of Lee Zeldon or something?
00:01:06.000 Yeah, absolutely.
00:01:07.000 I mean, yes.
00:01:08.000 I know.
00:01:09.000 I just don't know the details.
00:01:10.000 I know.
00:01:11.000 I do want to just, before we get into Lee, I just want to say if you're listening anywhere across the country and you're hearing that ambient noise in the background, if you're not able to watch this live, you are at the premiere event in the conservative movement.
00:01:25.000 This is the center of the conservative universe this weekend.
00:01:28.000 Everybody is here.
00:01:29.000 And I just want to say congratulations, Charlie, because you don't get to hear this enough.
00:01:33.000 We're working the whole time.
00:01:35.000 Tell me at 1236 on Sunday.
00:01:38.000 Fair enough.
00:01:38.000 Fair enough.
00:01:39.000 I mean, there's a long road to go.
00:01:41.000 Tell me, congratulations.
00:01:42.000 I mean, listen.
00:01:43.000 I say, see you guys next year.
00:01:45.000 Listen, the fact that we're here, the fact that this is this beautiful, the fact that it's this large, we have over 5,000 students from high school and colleges across the country here in Tampa, Florida.
00:01:55.000 And I just want to say again, this is in spite of Bidenflation.
00:01:59.000 This is in spite of airfare that has gone through the roof.
00:02:02.000 This is in spite of all the challenges we're facing.
00:02:04.000 This is so wild is that, you know, so back in early June, our tickets were trending fine.
00:02:08.000 But I was like, man, what's going on?
00:02:10.000 So we started to ask our field team.
00:02:11.000 They were doing a great job.
00:02:12.000 They said, Charlie, that people can't afford to come.
00:02:15.000 And I said, wow, okay.
00:02:16.000 And despite that, people maxed out credit cards.
00:02:19.000 They're driving across the country to be here.
00:02:21.000 It's remarkable.
00:02:22.000 We don't necessarily endorse, you know, but the energy is that through the roof.
00:02:28.000 There is an argument to prioritize your finances for what matters.
00:02:31.000 Yeah, that's absolutely right.
00:02:32.000 Put your money where your mouth is, and we...
00:02:34.000 Don't do that.
00:02:34.000 Don't go anywhere.
00:02:35.000 Yeah.
00:02:35.000 Yeah, this is Lee Zeldon's story.
00:02:37.000 It's absolutely insane.
00:02:38.000 So what happened here is that last night, Lee Zeldon was attacked while stumping in New York.
00:02:44.000 He's running for governor.
00:02:45.000 He's the Republican nominee.
00:02:46.000 He won the primary.
00:02:49.000 And a 43-year-old David G. Jacobonis walked across the stage, stopped in front of Zeldon, and appeared to thrust a weapon towards Zeldin's neck.
00:02:57.000 Now, if you haven't seen a picture of this weapon, it's one of those things you almost put on like a keychain, and you put your fingers through it, and your whole point is to stab and puncture somebody's skin.
00:03:07.000 It's a lot remote.
00:03:09.000 This is exactly what that weapon is for.
00:03:09.000 Exactly.
00:03:11.000 A lot of times you'll see women that are walking to their cars.
00:03:14.000 They'll have these on their keys late at night or whatever.
00:03:16.000 But this can kill somebody.
00:03:18.000 This was a lethal, a potentially lethal attack on Lee Zeldin, who is sitting Congressman.
00:03:24.000 Is it fair to say it's an assassination attempt?
00:03:26.000 Absolutely fair to say.
00:03:27.000 So now it's just breaking, which is just completely insane.
00:03:32.000 Alleged Lee Zeldon attack.
00:03:33.000 I don't know why we even have to put alleged.
00:03:35.000 It's caught on camera.
00:03:36.000 All right.
00:03:37.000 Already released without bail, just like Zeldin predicted what happened.
00:03:42.000 He didn't have to post a dollar of bail.
00:03:44.000 That's what I'm telling you.
00:03:45.000 So you can attempt an assassination of a sitting United States congressman and be out back on the street six hours later?
00:03:53.000 Apparently in the state of New York.
00:03:56.000 And if I was Lee Zeldon, you know, God bless him.
00:04:00.000 I'm glad he's safe.
00:04:01.000 But I would instantly turn around and, I mean, this could propel him to becoming governor of New York.
00:04:06.000 I'm not kidding.
00:04:07.000 This is that insane that a sitting congressman is, there's an attempted assassination, and his attacker is out on the street the next day because of these lax laws in states like New York and California.
00:04:20.000 And by the way, you tweeted about this.
00:04:22.000 Joe Rogan got into all this controversy this week because he said, he basically said you could get away with murder in L.A. if you shoot homeless people because they don't prosecute violent crime.
00:04:32.000 Now all the Los Angeles Times is saying, well, Joe Rogan was advocating for shooting homeless people.
00:04:37.000 That's not what this was.
00:04:38.000 He was making a joke because these cities have become a joke.
00:04:41.000 He's also a comedian.
00:04:42.000 Yeah, absolutely.
00:04:43.000 100%.
00:04:44.000 And guess what?
00:04:45.000 This totally validates what Joe Rogan was talking about.
00:04:48.000 You want to go try and kill somebody.
00:04:49.000 They'll let you out of jail the next day without bail.
00:04:52.000 But, I mean, so Lee Zeldon's doing a campaign event and the guy comes and tries to murder him.
00:04:57.000 So what is the statute then to actually have to post bail in New York?
00:05:01.000 What judge authorized this?
00:05:03.000 So it says, according to a statement later released by Monroe County Sheriff's Department, Jack Obonis was charged with attempted assault in the second degree.
00:05:14.000 And just as Zelda in the second degree, not attempted murder.
00:05:16.000 Yeah, exactly.
00:05:17.000 Just as Zeldin predicted, released on his own recognizance.
00:05:20.000 That means there was no bail involved.
00:05:22.000 None.
00:05:24.000 This man allegedly attempts to stab another man in the throat, and he's released on his own recognizance.
00:05:28.000 Welcome to America.
00:05:31.000 The blue demise of America.
00:05:33.000 You know, we followed Jack Poseobic, War Room, filling in for War Room, and has become famous for saying, get out of cities.
00:05:40.000 Well, this happened in the country, and it's still a.
00:05:42.000 I mean, you really wonder that if someone went up to a Kathy Hochle rally with a knife, do you think they would have been charged by second-degree assault?
00:05:49.000 I mean, seriously.
00:05:50.000 What do you think, audience?
00:05:51.000 God forbid that would happen.
00:05:52.000 I don't wish that upon anybody.
00:05:54.000 I think we know the answer.
00:05:55.000 I'm playing a hypothetical thought experiment.
00:05:57.000 I mean, the person would be second-degree murder or first-degree murder.
00:05:57.000 Of course not.
00:06:01.000 They'd be in the highest security prison cell in the state of New York right now.
00:06:06.000 And under federal crimes.
00:06:07.000 I guarantee it.
00:06:08.000 Yeah.
00:06:08.000 Just ridiculous.
00:06:10.000 This is the insanity that we're living with.
00:06:12.000 Nevertheless, we're grateful that Lee Zeldon's okay.
00:06:15.000 We're grateful Lee is okay.
00:06:16.000 That's right.
00:06:17.000 So I want to open this up to our audience here.
00:06:20.000 So Saturday evening, we are here at this Turning Point USA Student Action Summit.
00:06:26.000 We are going to be doing a poll, a straw poll.
00:06:30.000 But I want to have our own straw poll here.
00:06:32.000 That's a great idea.
00:06:33.000 I love this.
00:06:34.000 So we're going to have our students and our attendees take a poll of Donald Trump or Ron DeSantis for 2024.
00:06:41.000 But I want to get your feedback.
00:06:42.000 I want to have you guys poll us.
00:06:44.000 You guys can email us freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:06:47.000 Do you want Trump or do you want DeSantis or maybe somebody else for 2024?
00:06:52.000 I want to have the Charlie Kirk show poll, and then we could have the Student Action Summit poll and contrast that.
00:06:56.000 By the way, there are other contenders.
00:06:59.000 Nikki Haley is rumored for running Pennsylvania.
00:07:01.000 Mike he's going to run.
00:07:04.000 We're hearing about Yunken in Virginia.
00:07:06.000 Glenn Young.
00:07:07.000 Yeah, Glenn Young's being a governor first.
00:07:09.000 But I think Myra Flores is in a mix.
00:07:12.000 She's been a congresswoman for three and a half weeks.
00:07:14.000 That's right.
00:07:15.000 That's right, Myra Flores.
00:07:17.000 That's Charlie's joke.
00:07:18.000 Everybody's already coordinating her.
00:07:21.000 I know the next AOC of the Conservative.
00:07:22.000 We don't need an AOC in the Conservative movie.
00:07:25.000 Get a month under your belt.
00:07:27.000 We've already got some spicy congresspeople in the world.
00:07:30.000 You're going to be a Congresswoman for one month before I consider you.
00:07:33.000 I think that's a fair request.
00:07:34.000 Email us freedom at charliekirk.com, freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:07:37.000 We got one person emailing us from Chicago.
00:07:39.000 I want Trump with DeSantis as VP.
00:07:42.000 Got to say, not going to happen.
00:07:43.000 Trump or DeSantis?
00:07:44.000 It's not going to happen.
00:07:46.000 I don't know.
00:07:46.000 I don't think DeSantis is not a number two.
00:07:49.000 I just don't see it.
00:07:50.000 I don't know.
00:07:50.000 No, I don't know.
00:07:51.000 Maybe to Trump's number one.
00:07:53.000 Trump wants to win.
00:07:54.000 He doesn't like to lose, hates to lose.
00:07:56.000 And he works well with DeSantis.
00:07:58.000 That's true.
00:07:58.000 They have a great relationship.
00:07:59.000 By the way, that's so true.
00:08:01.000 The media tries to make it out like they hate each other.
00:08:04.000 It's not true.
00:08:04.000 It's not true.
00:08:05.000 But DeSantis says here, that would get the most votes.
00:08:09.000 Freedom at the time.
00:08:10.000 Completely would.
00:08:11.000 Yeah.
00:08:14.000 Look, we talk about current events a lot on this show, but there's other things that are in life that are bigger than current events, bigger things.
00:08:20.000 We try to do some shows every so often on these things.
00:08:23.000 But look, what am I talking about when I say that?
00:08:25.000 How about good and evil?
00:08:26.000 Right and wrong, prayer and the Bible or heaven and hell.
00:08:29.000 So look, the great C.S. Lewis, who's one of the most amazing minds ever to exist, was a master at addressing these questions.
00:08:38.000 And that is why Hillsdale College, the great college, the only college, in my opinion, wants you to learn more about him and his writings and their newest free online course, C.S. Lewis on Christianity.
00:08:50.000 And it all starts with taking a short quiz to find out how much you already know about Lewis.
00:08:56.000 He wrote more than the Narnia series, by the way.
00:08:58.000 Look, Hillsdale College is amazing.
00:09:00.000 They defend liberty.
00:09:01.000 They pursue truth.
00:09:02.000 They do a great job.
00:09:04.000 So just write this down.
00:09:05.000 This should be your go-to resource.
00:09:06.000 Remember, I have taken 16 of their online courses, and I have promised Dr. Arne I'm eventually going to finish them all.
00:09:13.000 Go to charlie4hillsdale.com to take this fun, interactive quiz, and then sign up for this free course.
00:09:18.000 The answers may even surprise you, even if you think you know everything about C.S. Lewis.
00:09:22.000 They surprised me, my goodness.
00:09:24.000 The quiz, the course, and everything you learn at Hillsdale College are yours for free, as always.
00:09:29.000 So take the C.S. Lewis quiz, charlie4hillsdale.com.
00:09:32.000 That is charlie4hillsdale.com.
00:09:34.000 Take as many online courses as you can.
00:09:36.000 The Constitution course is amazing, but their C.S. Lewis course is extraordinary.
00:09:43.000 And by the way, Hillsdale College, just phenomenal.
00:09:46.000 Charlie4Hillsdale.com.
00:09:51.000 So, climate, we haven't really touched on this very much, honestly.
00:09:54.000 Well, we have that Rogan clip and the Lee Zeldon attack list if you want to play it.
00:09:58.000 Let's play the Rogan clip.
00:09:59.000 Yeah.
00:10:00.000 281.
00:10:01.000 Like, that's that person's property by law.
00:10:03.000 Oh, the homeless person's property is protected?
00:10:05.000 Yes.
00:10:06.000 Absolutely.
00:10:08.000 If you were to go and try to move that or take that, you'd get arrested.
00:10:11.000 Yeah.
00:10:12.000 Yeah.
00:10:13.000 Hilarious.
00:10:14.000 But they wouldn't arrest you if you shot somebody.
00:10:16.000 Maybe you should just go and shoot the homeless people.
00:10:18.000 I like your ideas.
00:10:19.000 Yeah.
00:10:20.000 And if nobody claims it, I mean, nobody does anything about violent crime in LA anymore.
00:10:24.000 It's a joke.
00:10:25.000 Yeah.
00:10:26.000 They're just letting people out.
00:10:28.000 So he's absolutely right.
00:10:29.000 I mean, what they would call lower crimes or, you know, smaller property crimes, they don't even enforce right now, right?
00:10:39.000 But they were saying that if you go and take property from a homeless person that's made an encampment on the side of your street in your neighborhood, if you do anything to that person, they'll come get you.
00:10:50.000 So don't touch the homeless person.
00:10:52.000 And so Joe Rogan makes the very end.
00:10:53.000 And by the way, for those that don't know, I lived in LA for quite a few years.
00:10:59.000 So, you know, pray for me.
00:11:00.000 But this is true.
00:11:02.000 Like, you can, there were laws protecting homeless encampments.
00:11:05.000 There was laws protecting, you know, if they put like a broke down sort of car that they were living on their street, they had more rights than you did as a homeowner on that street.
00:11:14.000 And Joe Rogan made a good point.
00:11:16.000 He's like, well, hey, listen, if you shoot them, they won't get you.
00:11:18.000 It's a joke, folks.
00:11:19.000 He wasn't actually advocating for shooting homeless people.
00:11:22.000 But I think this Lee Zeldon thing is completely drawing another light on it.
00:11:27.000 It ties into that.
00:11:28.000 Do we have a clip of the Lee Zeldon deal?
00:11:30.000 Yeah, 280 is the audio of it, or at least the video of it.
00:11:33.000 I'm not sure what the audio is like.
00:11:36.000 There's only one option.
00:11:40.000 You're done.
00:11:40.000 You're done out.
00:11:41.000 You're done.
00:11:42.000 You are out of it.
00:11:53.000 Yeah, I mean, you could see the folks in the audience and on stage.
00:11:58.000 Yeah, got in the way.
00:11:59.000 He said, you're done.
00:12:01.000 The attacker came on stage, looked at him, and said, you're done.
00:12:05.000 If you would have nicked his jugular, I mean, 100%.
00:12:09.000 I mean, there's obviously a lot of vulnerable spots in your neck.
00:12:12.000 There's a lot of arteries.
00:12:14.000 Absolutely.
00:12:16.000 That's, you know, this is the world we live in.
00:12:18.000 It's really too bad.
00:12:19.000 I want to play Cut 248.
00:12:20.000 A little change of gears here.
00:12:21.000 Tucker Carlson on Biden administration donating $172 million to a Soros-linked group.
00:12:27.000 Now, they've gone after Tucker really hard this last 24 hours over this segment, calling him a white supremacist.
00:12:32.000 Play Cut 248.
00:12:34.000 Fox News is reporting signs that the administration awarded a $172 million grant to a George Soros-linked organization, which exists to, quote, help young border crossers avoid deportation.
00:12:47.000 Now, why is some foreign-born billionaire allowed to change our country fundamentally?
00:12:53.000 That's the big question.
00:12:54.000 Here are the specifics.
00:12:56.000 This organization is called the Vera Institute for Justice, and it stands to gain a billion dollars in federal money by the end of the contract just to subvert our laws.
00:13:04.000 Now, the catch is that no one verifies when the people crossing the border are actually minors.
00:13:10.000 So, let me make sure I understand this correctly.
00:13:11.000 Taxpayer money is going to be augmenting a George Soros funding organization to bring foreign nationals into America.
00:13:17.000 Yeah, this is the untold story of the border sagas, right?
00:13:20.000 It's like you get these NGOs.
00:13:23.000 This is what blows me away, folks.
00:13:25.000 Don't fall for the trap anymore.
00:13:27.000 When you hear the left use fluffy words like, we're a civil rights organization, that's probably code for you get a phone call and you go out and ride on the streets when you don't like.
00:13:39.000 Get out of jail for no accountability.
00:13:40.000 They're not about civil rights, by the way.
00:13:41.000 They were silent when James O. Keith's apartment got raided.
00:13:44.000 100%.
00:13:44.000 100%.
00:13:45.000 So, what they do is you have these, it was a contract, not a grant.
00:13:50.000 What they do is they got it.
00:13:52.000 The federal government is awarding these groups that are gaming our immigration system that are helping illegal immigrants cross our border and navigate once they get on this side, right?
00:14:03.000 There's different tricks.
00:14:04.000 This is why when you go to the border, right, Charlie and Yuma, you find a stack of IDs that they've ditched.
00:14:09.000 Well, guess what?
00:14:10.000 On the other side of that border in Mexico, you got NGOs like Soros-Link Vera Institute of Justice telling them, throw your idea away, and we'll let you in for free and we'll buy you a plane ticket to D.C. or New York, which now, by the way, the mayor of D.C., Eric Adams, is asking for more federal money to deal with his own surge of illegal immigrants.
00:14:10.000 Guess what?
00:14:30.000 Subsidized all along the way.
00:14:32.000 Our poll is ongoing.
00:14:33.000 Freedom at CharlieKirk.com has had to email me, Trump and DeSantis.
00:14:36.000 It's about neck and neck right now.
00:14:38.000 A lot of people like DeSantis.
00:14:40.000 So I'm curious what are your thoughts, freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:14:43.000 And we have one vote for Liz Cheney.
00:14:48.000 We have one Liz Cheney.
00:14:50.000 We do.
00:14:51.000 I was jumping ahead.
00:14:52.000 This person said freedom at Charlie Kirk.com.
00:14:54.000 Liz Cheney.
00:14:55.000 I don't know where they're listening, but.
00:14:57.000 Thank you for listening.
00:14:58.000 Yeah.
00:15:00.000 Hey, everybody.
00:15:01.000 Charlie Kirk here.
00:15:02.000 The recent rulings from the Supreme Court didn't happen on their own.

00:16:02.000 Congresswoman Lauren Bobert.
00:16:03.000 I always get confused.
00:16:04.000 It's Congresswoman, right?
00:16:05.000 Sure.
00:16:06.000 I think that's so wrong.
00:16:06.000 People say Congressman.
00:16:08.000 I think it's a misnomer.
00:16:09.000 The title is Congressman, but we are the party of identity.
00:16:12.000 So let's call it.
00:16:14.000 I don't like calling women men.
00:16:16.000 I think it's against what we believe in.
00:16:18.000 We're at the Rumble Booth at Turning Point USA's Student Action Summit.
00:16:22.000 Congresswoman, Lauren Bobert, has My American Life here.
00:16:25.000 So you say Congresswoman on the title.
00:16:27.000 There you go.
00:16:28.000 And it is your book, My American Life.
00:16:30.000 Pick out a copy today.
00:16:32.000 And forwarded by Senator Ted Cruz.
00:16:34.000 Tell us about your book.
00:16:35.000 Yes, so this is my story.
00:16:37.000 This is about my life growing up.
00:16:38.000 There was a lot of hardships, but I didn't allow that to build a victim mentality for myself.
00:16:43.000 When times got tough, I got tougher.
00:16:45.000 And so this really is my journey from coming from a Democrat household where my mom believed those lies that put us in poverty and kept us there, put us in breadlines waiting for government cheese.
00:16:57.000 And also the abuse that I experienced from adults in my family abusing drugs and alcohol and even my mom abusing my mom physically.
00:17:07.000 And throughout all of that, I still developed conservative values.
00:17:13.000 I saw that I could do a better job taking care of myself than government did.
00:17:16.000 I didn't need to be a victim.
00:17:18.000 I was created to be an overcomer, as we all are.
00:17:22.000 I learned my identity through my relationship with Jesus, found who I am in what scripture says about me, the promises that God said about me.
00:17:31.000 And this journey just shows everyone that you were not limited by your past.
00:17:35.000 You're not limited by your mistakes or your upbringing.
00:17:39.000 And here in America, you truly can live the American dream.
00:17:43.000 So this is my American life.
00:17:44.000 And now you're in Washington fighting for that.
00:17:46.000 Yes.
00:17:47.000 And this is only your first term, right?
00:17:48.000 That's right.
00:17:49.000 Feels like it's been longer than that.
00:17:50.000 Doesn't it?
00:17:52.000 With all of the fun you've been having.
00:17:56.000 So you're in a tough reelection fight?
00:17:59.000 I mean, I think you'll be okay, right?
00:18:00.000 Yeah.
00:18:01.000 So we just went through the primary.
00:18:03.000 And in the primary, I had a very Democrat-Republican running up against me, very much a rhino, but I'm a professional rhino hunter.
00:18:11.000 So, yeah, I did.
00:18:12.000 More than 40 points.
00:18:13.000 10,000 Democrats actually switched party affiliation to try to take me out.
00:18:13.000 It was great.
00:18:18.000 And now we have some rich guy from Aspen trying to represent rural Colorado.
00:18:22.000 It ain't happening.
00:18:24.000 Yeah, so the district goes from where?
00:18:25.000 It goes from rifle to...
00:18:27.000 Rifle's in the middle, pretty much.
00:18:29.000 So we're up north.
00:18:30.000 Steamboat?
00:18:31.000 Not steamboat anymore.
00:18:32.000 So we're the next county over.
00:18:34.000 We're in Moffat or Rio Blanco County right now.
00:18:36.000 You have the Western Slope?
00:18:37.000 I do.
00:18:38.000 The whole Western slope.
00:18:39.000 Yes, I do.
00:18:39.000 You'll be fine.
00:18:40.000 Yeah, the whole Western slope and then the whole southern part of Durango.
00:18:44.000 They like them some Lauren Bobert.
00:18:45.000 Was that your district before?
00:18:47.000 Yes.
00:18:47.000 All right.
00:18:47.000 Yeah, you'll be fine.
00:18:49.000 Aspen, not so much.
00:18:49.000 Yes.
00:18:50.000 You'll lose it.
00:18:51.000 You'll lose Aspen.
00:18:52.000 Pitkin County, is that right?
00:18:53.000 Pitkin County.
00:18:54.000 That's right.
00:18:55.000 I know enough about Colorado to be dangerous.
00:18:58.000 All right.
00:18:58.000 So let's do some kind of updates here.
00:19:01.000 We sent all this money to Ukraine.
00:19:03.000 Ridiculous.
00:19:04.000 Our southern border is wide open.
00:19:06.000 And yet I was just really kind of flummoxed, I'll be honest.
00:19:09.000 47 Republicans voted for a remarkably radical bill.
00:19:14.000 And look, our audience has all sorts of different opinions on kind of what the government should do with gay marriage.
00:19:14.000 Yes.
00:19:20.000 Very few people in our audience think like supportive of gay marriage.
00:19:24.000 But generally, our audience falls down to, hey, it should be traditional marriage or leave it up to the states.
00:19:28.000 That's basically where most of our audience is.
00:19:30.000 I'm definitely in traditional marriage.
00:19:31.000 But 47 Republicans decided to overrun state rights.
00:19:36.000 What the heck happened there?
00:19:37.000 Yeah, so like many pieces of legislation, this was absolutely rushed through.
00:19:43.000 It didn't go through all of the markup process that we have in committees.
00:19:50.000 And there weren't actual hearings on the legislation.
00:19:54.000 And they really have launched an all-out assault on America's traditional values.
00:20:02.000 But this bill was unnecessary.
00:20:04.000 Look, I think the federal government should not be involved in marriage.
00:20:07.000 My marriage between my husband is really between me and God, not between me and the government.
00:20:10.000 But this was absolutely unnecessary.
00:20:13.000 They have attacked our institutions.
00:20:16.000 They have weakened the nuclear family and undermined masculinity and even femininity.
00:20:22.000 And the people who can't even define what a woman is now wants to get in the middle of defining a covenant between a man and a woman and God.
00:20:33.000 Yeah, I get that.
00:20:34.000 Why did 47 Republicans vote for it?
00:20:37.000 The Democrats are obviously, they're despicable, but 47 Republicans shouldn't be.
00:20:41.000 Right, because they don't want attack ads.
00:20:44.000 They are absolutely afraid of attack ads.
00:20:46.000 And unfortunately, it always is the thing.
00:20:49.000 That always is the conversation that is taking place on the House floor.
00:20:54.000 Build that out for us.
00:20:55.000 Sorry to interrupt.
00:20:55.000 So you're in the House floor and people are saying, obviously paraphrasing, I'm going to go vote for homosexual marriage because I'm afraid of television ads.
00:21:04.000 Yes.
00:21:05.000 Yes, Charlie.
00:21:07.000 This happens on a regular basis, whether it be infrastructure, whether it be funding, whether it be sending more money to Ukraine.
00:21:15.000 All of it is insane.
00:21:15.000 It is insane.
00:21:16.000 But they do not want the political attacks to come against them.
00:21:19.000 And Charlie, I arrived in Washington, D.C. on attack ads, so I'm not really afraid of another one.
00:21:24.000 It could be a signal boost if you handle it correctly.
00:21:26.000 Absolutely.
00:21:28.000 But look at the people who are fleeing the Democrat Party and coming over to the Republican Party.
00:21:32.000 The only way we lose the midterms this November is if we start acting like Democrats.
00:21:37.000 So we have to be firm.
00:21:38.000 We have to stand tall and remain true to our principles.
00:21:43.000 That is what keeps our base with us and what is attracting Democrats to come to our party.
00:21:48.000 Well, and it's also just regardless of your opinions on the issue, why are you going over the top to court the most despicable lobby in Washington, D.C., which these people, they don't care about you.
00:21:59.000 Right.
00:22:00.000 They don't care about your values.
00:22:02.000 They don't care about your country.
00:22:04.000 And so there's no other way to do that.
00:22:06.000 It just makes sense.
00:22:07.000 Okay, so a couple other things, colour of votes.
00:22:10.000 So we keep us sending this money to Ukraine.
00:22:13.000 And now the House of Representatives is basically going to be in permanent recess.
00:22:17.000 Is that fair to say?
00:22:17.000 From now till this is pretty close assessment.
00:22:20.000 We need to vote remotely now.
00:22:22.000 Yes.
00:22:22.000 Right.
00:22:23.000 You can vote remotely.
00:22:24.000 You have committee hearings on Zoom, WebEx meetings.
00:22:28.000 You can vote by proxy.
00:22:30.000 After July, we are only in session 29 days for the rest of the year.
00:22:35.000 Which, I mean, look, I want to be there and I want to work, but I'm actually really glad that the Democrats only have 29 days to push through their radical agenda because they are getting very aggressive with it.
00:22:44.000 They have been all year because they know that their time is short.
00:22:47.000 They know that they won't have the majority next year.
00:22:49.000 I just hope that we have strong leadership who won't appease these same radical progressives next year when we are in the majority.
00:22:58.000 Do you think that what's your view on the leadership race?
00:23:01.000 Have you made a statement on that?
00:23:03.000 No, I mean, I've been focusing on who's actually leading in the party.
00:23:08.000 And I think that's members of the Freedom Caucus.
00:23:10.000 I think that's members of the Second Amendment Caucus.
00:23:12.000 We have been loud and out front on so many issues that the rest of the conference didn't really want to touch.
00:23:18.000 And we have been exposing what the Democrats have been doing.
00:23:22.000 The Disinformation Governance Board, you know, I took the lead in that, and I actually was able to get leadership on board and support us in that effort.
00:23:30.000 And we were able to get Nina Jinkowicz to resign, the board to shut down.
00:23:35.000 It was a big win.
00:23:36.000 And so even in the minority, we can have these victories.
00:23:40.000 So leadership, it's a title.
00:23:44.000 It's really frustrating, actually.
00:23:46.000 But I look more to who is actually leading the people.
00:23:49.000 Yeah, that's smart because, I mean, look, leadership is technically a fundraising operation is really what it is, right?
00:23:55.000 And also, but if you get enough grassroots people that you become leadership, that's the more important thing, isn't it?
00:24:00.000 Which is who actually in the caucus is going to be the driving force forward.
00:24:04.000 So what other races are you looking at that you're going to be spending your time?
00:24:07.000 If you're in a comfortable race, where are you going to spend your extra resources or time?
00:24:11.000 Yeah, so I'm actually helping a lot of members in their primaries and their re-elects.
00:24:16.000 I'll be heading down to Florida again for Matt Gates.
00:24:21.000 And then also an exciting candidate that I just love is Anna Paulina Luna.
00:24:26.000 Yeah, she's great.
00:24:27.000 We're 100% bothering her.
00:24:28.000 Yeah, she's wonderful.
00:24:29.000 Turning point action.
00:24:30.000 She's phenomenal.
00:24:30.000 Yes.
00:24:31.000 She'll be around here.
00:24:32.000 Fantastic.
00:24:32.000 But I'm coming down there to help rally with her.
00:24:36.000 I just went to help Mary Miller.
00:24:38.000 Man, what a victory that was.
00:24:40.000 Rodney Davis in Central Illinois.
00:24:42.000 That is such an amazing David and Goliath story.
00:24:44.000 She outspent her five, 10 to 1.
00:24:46.000 Yes, and he was nasty.
00:24:48.000 I mean, he was just downright mean and hateful to her.
00:24:51.000 And, you know, she stood on her values, what she's been doing, what she wants to do.
00:24:57.000 And she didn't take that low road that he did.
00:25:00.000 She was very graceful, and she let everyone know that she was believing in God for this and believing in the people.
00:25:07.000 And she smoked him.
00:25:08.000 What other races are you looking at?
00:25:09.000 Any Senate races?
00:25:10.000 Oh, gosh.
00:25:11.000 No, that's...
00:25:14.000 Give me prompt me here.
00:25:15.000 Blake Masters in Arizona.
00:25:17.000 Okay, there's someone we could get behind.
00:25:19.000 Yeah, we love to see get behind Blake.
00:25:21.000 It's not far from Colorado either.
00:25:23.000 It's a short trip over.
00:25:24.000 We love Blake there.
00:25:26.000 We love J.D. in Ohio.
00:25:27.000 Yes, JD Vance is wonderful.
00:25:28.000 And there's some other good ones.
00:25:29.000 Bo Hines in North Carolina is a good young candidate.
00:25:31.000 Anython Sabatini here in Florida.
00:25:32.000 Yes.
00:25:33.000 And these are all people who would be members of the Freedom Caucus.
00:25:35.000 Yeah, Sabatini is someone, if you're not, if you're not...
00:25:38.000 I've been down to Florida and he's around.
00:25:40.000 We love Sabatini.
00:25:42.000 He's fabulous.
00:25:43.000 I was actually a Claremont fellow with him last year.
00:25:46.000 There's a lot of other good races, too.
00:25:47.000 Joe Kent in Washington is another good one.
00:25:50.000 I really love Lauren Culp.
00:25:51.000 You don't hear a lot about him.
00:25:52.000 Lauren Culp in Washington, he's in Washington 3, and he's up against an incumbent right now, but he's someone who voted for impeachment.
00:26:02.000 Yeah, so the Freedom Caucus thing, what bothers me, though, someone just emailed us freedom at CharlieClerk.com.
00:26:06.000 The leader voted for the gay marriage thing.
00:26:08.000 Yeah, you know, and I think that was just a rush decision.
00:26:11.000 The chairman of the representative, what are you doing?
00:26:16.000 He understands that too.
00:26:18.000 He's going to receive a lot of heat.
00:26:19.000 And he knows that.
00:26:21.000 But he is actually, we have drafted a statement to put out to make sure that the Senate opposes this.
00:26:27.000 And the chairman actually...
00:26:30.000 Wait, so let me get this.
00:26:30.000 I'm sorry to interrupt.
00:26:31.000 But so the leader of the Freedom Caucus, like, oh, I voted for this, but actually don't vote for this.
00:26:35.000 That's why people don't like politicians.
00:26:36.000 I don't know who this guy is, but like.
00:26:38.000 Yeah, so typically we have conversations about these bills that are coming up and we take official positions.
00:26:42.000 This one was one that was missed.
00:26:44.000 He was given bad advice, was in a hurry and took it unfortunately.
00:26:47.000 He understands it and he's completely supportive of all of us voting against it.
00:26:52.000 I know that.
00:26:52.000 I think, did another member vote for it of the Freedom Caucus?
00:26:55.000 I don't believe so.
00:26:56.000 Okay.
00:26:57.000 That's so strange and bizarre to me.
00:26:59.000 And again, it's just kind of more on a principle than anything else.
00:27:01.000 Just why are you going out of your way to go vote with Cheney and Kensinger on anything?
00:27:05.000 Let alone, you know, something is redefining something covenantal to our entire society.
00:27:11.000 Okay, so tell us more about your book.
00:27:13.000 You kind of have this reputation as being this gun-toting congresswoman.
00:27:16.000 Right.
00:27:17.000 And you say, yes.
00:27:18.000 Yes.
00:27:18.000 You're proud of that.
00:27:20.000 Second Amendment rights are under attack.
00:27:21.000 What does that look like legislatively?
00:27:23.000 Do you think there's going to be more gun control anytime soon?
00:27:25.000 They're going to push through as much gun control as possible.
00:27:27.000 It was really shameful that so many senators actually voted with the Democrats to pass this gun legislation.
00:27:34.000 I was watching hearings in the Judiciary Committee.
00:27:37.000 Cicillini, he thinks a stabilizing brace actually converts a pistol into a fully automatic weapon.
00:27:44.000 You know, and so these people who are absolutely ignorant on the issue want to legislate the issue and they don't know what it is.
00:27:51.000 But my book is so important right now.
00:27:53.000 There are My American Life is the title.
00:27:56.000 Yes, and there are not a lot of publishers who are publishing conservative content.
00:28:00.000 And so to actually purchase this book, make that purchase, and let these publishers know this is the material that we want to read is so huge and so valuable.
00:28:09.000 So it's available everywhere: Amazon, Booksamillion, Walmart.com.
00:28:13.000 And you can buy my book.
00:28:15.000 And also, I have recorded an audio version.
00:28:17.000 It's my story and my voice to your ears.
00:28:19.000 I did.
00:28:20.000 That's a lot of work.
00:28:20.000 Yes.
00:28:21.000 I have never done that for my books.
00:28:22.000 Yes.
00:28:23.000 So, Lauren, let me tell you, let me ask you, what is going on with the seizure of farmland in our country?
00:28:29.000 You know, this is just another intentional attack.
00:28:33.000 If we don't have farmers, if we don't have farmland, we don't have food.
00:28:37.000 You control the food, you control the people.
00:28:39.000 And that's what all of this has been about.
00:28:42.000 They are in a radical push to control every aspect of it, people from our educational decisions to our medical decisions, and now down to what we eat.
00:28:51.000 China is buying up our farmlands.
00:28:53.000 Bill Gates is buying up our farmlands.
00:28:57.000 We have food production facilities, manufacturing facilities that are burning up, blowing up.
00:29:03.000 Literally, you know, we have cows that are just falling over dead because it was hot.
00:29:08.000 I don't know.
00:29:09.000 I think it's farmland is the new currency in some sense.
00:29:12.000 That if you own farmland and you own massive swaths, you have a hedge against a coming global currency collapse.
00:29:19.000 How much farmland is actually owned in Colorado by these multi-billionaires?
00:29:23.000 I thought we were checking that.
00:29:24.000 We did.
00:29:25.000 I don't have those numbers.
00:29:26.000 It's more than they should have, that's for sure.
00:29:28.000 Here's what I know: Bill Gates owns 2,270 acres in Colorado, which is small potatoes compared to what he owns in Nebraska, 20,000 acres, 69,000 in Louisiana, 47,000 in Arkansas, 16,000 in Mississippi.
00:29:42.000 So, Bill Gates is one thing, and it's part of the great reset, I believe.
00:29:46.000 But why is it that we allow the Chinese Communist Party to own this land?
00:29:50.000 You know, that is something that needs to be stopped.
00:29:52.000 We have to put an end to that.
00:29:54.000 But also, it's not just the land, it's the water that comes with that.
00:29:57.000 That's exactly.
00:29:57.000 I mean, our water is so valuable, so precious.
00:30:00.000 And when they can purchase that land, they get those water rights, they can prove beneficial use.
00:30:06.000 Or in some areas where you don't have to prove beneficial use, they ship that water somewhere else.
00:30:11.000 And then our farms are dried up and it's sent over to these suburban areas.
00:30:15.000 This is an issue I'm just not going to lay off of, which is our farmland, our farmland, I'm farmland.
00:30:20.000 Yeah.
00:30:20.000 Why is it that the conservative media is not making a bigger deal out of this?
00:30:24.000 And I mean, instead of voting for gay marriage or for sending money to Ukraine, why are we not having non-stop hearings and press conferences on our most precious asset?
00:30:33.000 One of the most precious assets to country is our farmland, is our fertile ability to grow food and water.
00:30:38.000 It's something you know really well in Colorado.
00:30:40.000 And we already have the federal government that owns too much land, in my opinion, in the West.
00:30:44.000 Would you agree with that?
00:30:45.000 Yeah, 55% of my district is federal lands.
00:30:47.000 That's unbelievable to me.
00:30:49.000 Yes.
00:30:49.000 And so then you have federal lands plus state lands I'm okay with sort of.
00:30:53.000 I don't know how the Colorado state government does managing their lands.
00:30:57.000 I imagine okay.
00:30:58.000 I don't know.
00:30:59.000 You could tell me.
00:31:00.000 Do you guys have a state bureau that management means don't touch?
00:31:06.000 See, that's not management.
00:31:07.000 Right.
00:31:07.000 Right.
00:31:08.000 To them, that's exactly what they wants off.
00:31:10.000 Right.
00:31:10.000 They want a hands-off approach.
00:31:12.000 And that is why we're having these catastrophic wildfires.
00:31:14.000 I have legislation that we could actually manage our forests.
00:31:18.000 That helps our water resiliency.
00:31:20.000 That certainly slows down the catastrophic wildfires.
00:31:23.000 We have 6 billion standing dead trees in the West, just all waiting to ignite this giant Tinderbox.
00:31:27.000 Is this because of the environmentalists?
00:31:29.000 Yes.
00:31:29.000 Yes.
00:31:30.000 Frivolous lawsuits that have that have stopped us from managing, from logging, from harvesting the dead timber and even cutting green the live trees that need to be thinned out in our forests.
00:31:41.000 You know, President Trump, he was heckled for wanting to rake the forest.
00:31:45.000 Go look at a forest floor that has not been managed.
00:31:48.000 We need to clean that up.
00:31:49.000 That is fuel on the ground.
00:31:51.000 Absolutely.
00:31:52.000 Are they afraid of some owl that's going to get snooped up into it or something?
00:31:55.000 Yes, the almighty sage grouse.
00:31:59.000 Yes, that's the one.
00:32:00.000 I can't wait to go hunt a sage grouse and stick one and put it in my office.
00:32:04.000 Here's what they don't understand is that these wildfires, if they don't go manage, air quality.
00:32:08.000 Absolutely.
00:32:09.000 That is my argument, Charlie.
00:32:12.000 This affects our climate much more than all of our vehicles do.
00:32:17.000 One catastrophic wildfire emits more carbon emissions in just a few days than every vehicle in Colorado running 24-7.
00:32:23.000 A lot of people in the Midwest, because I grew up in the Midwest, you don't really deal with the consequences of fire.
00:32:28.000 But now that I live in the West in Arizona, it's a major issue.
00:32:32.000 And the federal government has betrayed us on the issue of wildlife management.
00:32:36.000 Not wildlife, foreign management.
00:32:38.000 I guess it's wildlife preserve.
00:32:40.000 I don't know.
00:32:40.000 Department of Interior, all of them together, they're just like, all right, let it burn.
00:32:43.000 Yes.
00:32:43.000 Well, the Natural Resource Committee has failed the American people, too.
00:32:46.000 I serve on the Natural Resource Committee.
00:32:48.000 We've got over 100 pieces of legislation, and not one of them deal with actual energy crisis.
00:32:54.000 We aren't even addressing energy in the Natural Resource Committee where we have jurisdiction over that.
00:32:59.000 So, and all around, the people are being let down by the federal government.
00:33:03.000 Go by Lauren Boebert's book, My American Life.
00:33:05.000 We got to make sure she wins re-election.
00:33:07.000 We got to support her.
00:33:08.000 She's a fighter.
00:33:09.000 She votes correctly and courageously.
00:33:11.000 She doesn't give an inch to these degenerates.
00:33:13.000 She's got four sons, too.
00:33:14.000 I do.
00:33:15.000 So she walks the water.
00:33:16.000 I'm teaching my boys to be men before liberals teach them.
00:33:18.000 They got to be women.
00:33:19.000 They have to come to our turning point, USA, Young Men's Leadership Center.
00:33:21.000 Yes.
00:33:24.000 Thank you so much for listening, everybody.
