00:00:21.000 What are they not telling you?
00:00:22.000 What's really kind of going on here?
00:00:23.000 And compare and contrast it to what happened with the Hunter Biden laptop story.
00:00:27.000 And then we also play back some of the tape from the rally in New York and explain why it's important to campaign in New York.
00:00:33.000 Make them play defense on their own terrain.
00:00:37.000 That and much more.
00:00:38.000 If this show means something to you, please consider going to members.charliekirk.com.

00:01:31.000 We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives, and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country.

00:02:08.000 This is Andrew Colvett, executive producer of This Fine Show, and I'm joined by Blake Neff, another one of our producers, and the man himself, Charlie Kirk, who's going to be doing some smiling.
00:02:21.000 Yeah, so Charlie woke up this morning with his voice.
00:02:25.000 His voice was completely gone.
00:02:27.000 It sounds great, Charlie.
00:02:28.000 You said, you told the audience, you warned him, actually, that you were going to work harder this year than any other previous election, any other previous year of your career.
00:02:39.000 And I think what you've done this last week Is a testament to how hard you work.
00:02:44.000 You have been crisscrossing the country.
00:02:46.000 You've been in Nebraska.
00:02:48.000 You've been in Wichita with Tucker.
00:02:50.000 You were in Pennsylvania yesterday with Vivek Ramaswamy, University of Pittsburgh.
00:02:55.000 You have, you have a pen today, right?
00:02:58.000 And so, I mean, I don't know how you do it, man.
00:03:01.000 I'm we're grateful that you've shown up this morning.
00:03:03.000 I don't know if you want to try and how much you want to try and Say hello, but the floor is yours if you want.
00:03:10.000 I got plenty of energy.
00:03:11.000 I just, uh, I just don't have a voice.
00:03:14.000 So, uh, we're gonna try to work through that.
00:03:16.000 Yep.
00:03:17.000 Absolutely.
00:03:17.000 You sound like you're in a Martin Scorsese movie, you know?
00:03:20.000 Like, you go east and you basically sound like a, like a mobster film extra.
00:03:25.000 Yeah.
00:03:26.000 Charlie, you're embracing the scene.
00:03:28.000 I'm here to help.
00:03:29.000 Yeah.
00:03:30.000 So we're going to start today off with the Iran, Iran, Iran story.
00:03:38.000 Blake, I don't know if you want to take it.
00:03:40.000 I could take lead here.
00:03:41.000 But this broke yesterday evening.
00:03:45.000 And, you know, the FBI saying there's nothing to see here, folks, except for the fact that Iran hacked the Trump campaign, sounds like in July, and then sent those emails to the then Biden campaign.
00:03:59.000 Blake.
00:03:59.000 Yeah, so, as you say, breaking yesterday.
00:04:04.000 There's been rumors about this going around before, so this is more the FBI elaborating on things that we'd already heard about.
00:04:11.000 But apparently, hackers allegedly linked with Iran managed to hack emails and other information from the Trump
00:04:22.000 campaign.
00:04:23.000 And according to the FBI, they then sent this information to the Joe Biden campaign, back when that was still nominally
00:04:31.000 a thing in existence.
00:04:32.000 And that's basically all we have at this point.
00:04:36.000 They don't say what the information was.
00:04:39.000 They claim that the Democrats didn't make use of it and the Democrats claim they've been cooperating with the FBI.
00:04:50.000 So we don't really have too much more off of it.
00:04:53.000 Obviously, Trump has made much more off of it.
00:04:56.000 I think it's very funny in general that this is a story, but it's a lot more muted than
00:05:02.000 certain things you may recall in 2020 or 2016 where, oh my god, they're hacking the Democrats.
00:05:11.000 This is an attack on our democracy. You remember all of the talk like that.
00:05:16.000 And of course we had approximately half a million, well exactly, okay it was 50, 50 intel experts, intel veterans who released that statement saying don't believe anything that comes out.
00:05:32.000 Bad about the Biden campaign because it's going to be Russian disinfo and you you notably are not Seeing them run ahead of the ball here where oh anything you release is going to be bad bad Iranian disinfo because they're worried about Trump and In fact, if anything, I feel like this story is setting up the opposite.
00:05:50.000 That they're saying, oh, the Democrats didn't leak it.
00:05:52.000 They're being good guys.
00:05:54.000 But if something bad about Trump drops in the last two weeks, I think the posture will be, well, presumably it's true because Iran got it directly from the Trump campaign.
00:06:05.000 So I think we're already seeing how reaction to these things can play out very differently through a partisan lens.
00:06:13.000 Yeah, Blake, that was my take as well here.
00:06:15.000 And if we roll back the clock, and gosh, Charlie, I remember doing this with you in some detail, is the fact that You know, actually, authorities had Hunter Biden's laptop all the way going back to October of 2019, and then spent a year getting ahead of that story in order to shield culpability from bad actors, namely Hunter Biden, Joe Biden, and anybody else attached to that story.
00:06:43.000 So they were doing tabletop exercises in Aspen with social media companies on how to get ahead of disinformation.
00:06:52.000 There was a concerted effort by the intel community to get ahead of that story.
00:06:56.000 Conversely, this is saying this is all authentic.
00:07:00.000 And the Democrats had nothing to do with it.
00:07:03.000 They didn't do anything wrong.
00:07:04.000 And nothing to see here, folks, except for the fact that we're Really good soldiers and we're policing the foreign influence in our elections and so Trump has come out Let's go ahead and show image 96.
00:07:15.000 I actually got a chuckle out of this because if you think about it Trump's on to something here actually because he's getting to just how Egregious this actually should be considered to be.
00:07:30.000 Wow, just out the FBI caught Iran spying on my campaign and giving all the information to the Kamala Harris campaign.
00:07:37.000 Therefore, she and her campaign were illegally spying on me to be known as the Iran, Iran, Iran case.
00:07:43.000 Will Kamala resign in disgrace from politics?
00:07:46.000 Will the communist left pick a new candidate to replace her?
00:07:49.000 Obviously, that's not going to happen.
00:07:52.000 But I think what Trump is doing is that He's getting ahead in his own way and sort of painting the stakes here and explaining this is a really, really big deal.
00:08:04.000 If they were complicit in any way, if they accepted it, if they looked at these emails, if they passed them around.
00:08:10.000 Now the FBI is saying they didn't do this.
00:08:13.000 And Democrats are saying we have really stringent protocols in place to avoid Looking at suspicious emails or working with foreign actors inadvertently.
00:08:23.000 So they're claiming that they're in the clear.
00:08:26.000 But again, something smells here a little bit, and it's namely because we've seen the pattern of behavior from Democrats in the past.
00:08:34.000 According to the FBI, it's kind of funny how they frame it.
00:08:38.000 They make it sound like Iran basically sent unsolicited emails to people connected to the Democratic president, that is, Joe Biden, and it says there's no evidence that any of the recipients responded.
00:08:52.000 And so I guess the defense is maybe all the emails literally just went into a spam filter.
00:08:58.000 You know, it's like a like a Nigerian scam or or one of you know, one of those scam emails you can get and it just went spam filtered.
00:09:04.000 Maybe that's how they did it.
00:09:05.000 It might not be the most sophisticated op, but it's also possible.
00:09:09.000 This is just it's very telling what they don't say.
00:09:12.000 There's no evidence any of them responded.
00:09:14.000 That's not the same thing as them not seeing it.
00:09:18.000 And like I said, I I'll have to double check this, but I'm pretty sure there's been a lot of rumors and discussion about hacked materials floating around about the Trump campaign and whether any of that will be used.
00:09:32.000 My suspicion is kind of that there's probably not that much to it.
00:09:37.000 In general, everything negative you are ever going to hear about Donald Trump and his campaign has been out there at this point.
00:09:44.000 It gets out there pretty efficiently.
00:09:46.000 And so I'm not sure what Iran was going to find.
00:09:51.000 This might matter if you were like a true blue Democrat believer who thinks that Trump really did collude with Russia, but he didn't.
00:09:58.000 I will say, I will say that, you know, one of the first things that came to my mind is, you know, there is a lot of coordination going on with the campaign, the campaign sort of playing quarterback that, you know, with a lot of the GOTV effort.
00:10:13.000 rule change. Now the campaign and the RNC can coordinate with different GOTV groups
00:10:19.000 like Turning Point Action. So there is data being shared, there is different things being shared.
00:10:24.000 And so you get the inside track on actual strategy that may be in play.
00:10:32.000 Today I want to talk to you about a very important issue.
00:10:37.000 If you've recently engaged in any sort of restricted diet or have taken medications to lose weight for the summer, be careful.

00:12:01.000 Charlie is the walking wounded over here.
00:12:06.000 I just want everybody to know Charlie feels great.
00:12:09.000 He feels great.
00:12:10.000 He sounds like death, but... The voice is getting better, isn't it?
00:12:14.000 A little bit.
00:12:16.000 It's getting a little bit better.
00:12:17.000 It's getting a little bit better.
00:12:19.000 So we have the medic currently servicing Charlie and trying to nurse his voice back to health.
00:12:26.000 So Charlie sent me a note.
00:12:28.000 His big question with this Iran story, the Iran, Iran, Iran story, Did the Biden-Harris camp know foreign actors were doing this?
00:12:36.000 Did they report this immediately after they received the info?
00:12:39.000 I think that's a TBD, Charlie.
00:12:41.000 I don't think we know the answer here yet.
00:12:44.000 And it seems like the FBI is doing everything they can to sort of shield them from culpability here, which again, is just completely different than the vibe that we got in the Hunter Biden laptop story or any number of other stories, where if Trump is implicated, then it's the worst possible There are real and serious threats.
00:13:06.000 from our intel community and this seems like they're kind of trying to shield him from
00:13:12.000 any claim.
00:13:13.000 So I want to play Cut 98 here.
00:13:15.000 I have something to say here.
00:13:16.000 Play Cut 98.
00:13:17.000 On Wednesday, the president and vice chairman of Microsoft issuing a stark warning to Congress.
00:13:22.000 There are real and serious threats.
00:13:25.000 And it is an election where Russia, Iran and China are united with a common interest in
00:13:33.000 in discrediting democracy in the eyes of our own voters.
00:13:37.000 But this has also become an election of Iran versus Trump and Russia versus Harris.
00:13:45.000 OK, so I will speak on behalf of Charlie here so that he can take a break.
00:13:49.000 He says that this is definitely not the election.
00:13:53.000 The election is not Iran versus Trump.
00:13:54.000 It is not Russia versus Harris.
00:13:56.000 It is Trump versus Harris.
00:13:59.000 And it's also the ruling class versus the people.
00:14:03.000 And when they set up this framing of Iran versus Trump, Russia versus Harris, what they're basically doing is, you know, your vote this November is voting for which country you're going to go to war with.
00:14:15.000 But you've got to go to war with someone.
00:14:17.000 You can't vote for peace.
00:14:18.000 You are voting for war, no matter what.
00:14:21.000 So get ready.
00:14:22.000 It's going to be a fun ride.
00:14:25.000 It's very wild that they do this.
00:14:28.000 Again, we basically have a story of Iran hacked some emails, and they do this over and over.
00:14:35.000 It's always the temptation of the security state, the DC establishment, to stoke conflict with foreign powers, both because they benefit from it, and just because it's what they've been doing for decades.
00:14:48.000 They don't really know another way to exist.
00:14:50.000 Which is why they were so furious when Trump tried to choose a different path and they're so unhinged at the idea that he might come back in with a anti-war program.
00:15:02.000 So we have to be alert to how they are framing these things because they would like nothing better than if they do get Trump back in to still drag us into some sort of dumb war that we absolutely do not need.
00:15:14.000 We saw them try it many times in his first term.
00:15:17.000 Yeah.
00:15:18.000 And this is I think this is the point that Yeah, the point that Charlie's making here is like, you know, Trump wins, we get Iran, a war with Iran.
00:15:27.000 Kamala wins, we get a war with Russia.
00:15:29.000 And to your point, Blake, I think it's something that we've talked about on the has become so bloated and so large and so powerful that they have a reason for being, right?
00:15:43.000 Their reason for being is to look for potential conflicts everywhere.
00:15:47.000 This is their full-time job.
00:15:48.000 We have thousands and thousands of personnel dedicated to this.
00:15:52.000 And so they insert themselves into domestic policy by way of these foreign interference threats, by these press conferences.
00:16:02.000 And all of this becomes the domestic main reason, main policy, main reason for being for us here domestically,
00:16:10.000 because we have funded these people to stoke conflict and to create conflict,
00:16:16.000 and Trump is an existential threat to them.
00:16:19.000 And so of course they're going to insert themselves 60 days before an election.
00:16:23.000 Of course they're going to insert themselves 40 days before an election.
00:16:26.000 So this is, I think the point is, is that Charlie's making is that they are essentially
00:16:33.000 asserting their importance here.
00:16:35.000 They're asserting the fact that America is going to be at a place of forever war, whether we like it or not.
00:16:42.000 I'd like to flag, it's amazing that our security state is so eager to start, you know, at a minimum, look, can we please get a war with Iran at least if Trump wins?
00:16:50.000 It's not talked about much, but in addition to humiliating, the humiliation in Afghanistan, Joe Biden's been losing another war right now.
00:16:59.000 He's been, we've been bombing the Houthis in Yemen ever since October 7th and we have failed.
00:17:05.000 If you check that conflict, the United States Navy has lost that war.
00:17:10.000 The United States Air Force has lost that war.
00:17:12.000 So, just another reason to not vote for continuing the war status quo.

00:18:14.000 We should move on to the Trump rally that happened last night on Long Island.
00:18:19.000 Now, this was a zany story, Blake and Charlie.
00:18:22.000 Yesterday, if you remember, we started the day thinking that Trump was going to be the victim of a third attempted assassination plot.
00:18:31.000 It turned out that was Not true.
00:18:34.000 It was a false alarm.
00:18:35.000 There was some sort of mishap that happened with a canine unit that was doing sort of explosive work.
00:18:44.000 They were trying to detect explosives with a canine unit.
00:18:47.000 And that turned out, thankfully, to be a false alarm, according to Nassau PD.
00:18:52.000 But it was actually sort of the story behind the story that there were so many people early in the morning already lining up for this rally in New York.
00:19:01.000 Which, I have to say, Blake and Charlie, was one of the most high-energy, best rallies that Trump has hosted in some time.
00:19:11.000 Now, I like to think that the one that Turning Point hosted in Gilbert was even better, And RFK endorsed him, you know, but perhaps I'm biased, but you could absolutely tell from the tone and tenor of President Trump yesterday evening that he loves being in New York.
00:19:28.000 It's like something about being in his home state.
00:19:31.000 It takes him to another level.
00:19:33.000 And I think we saw that on full display last night.
00:19:36.000 Yeah, we have some footage of the rally, which I think is quite electric.
00:19:42.000 I didn't watch it myself, I was listening to Mark Halpern talk about it on his two-way yesterday.
00:19:49.000 We like our Mark Halpern here, and he said, It fits into something we've talked about that Trump's campaign has really tried to this is weird to say like You know they've tried to show the soft more personal side of of Trump where he's often at his best You know like when he went to East Palestine when he's just sort of interacting with
00:20:10.000 With people one-to-one, you get a lot of great content that can go very viral online.
00:20:15.000 And I think that was a big reason he went to New York.
00:20:18.000 He's going there, of course, to boost New York Republicans.
00:20:21.000 A lot of New York Republicans really like Trump.
00:20:24.000 But he's also going there because I think it gets him in his home element.
00:20:29.000 He's not originally from Florida.
00:20:30.000 He's originally from New York.
00:20:32.000 And they receive him really well, and he has a lot of fun with it.
00:20:37.000 Here, let's just play some of the clips from it.
00:20:39.000 How about number 100?
00:20:42.000 I am announcing tonight that, as president, I will officially make the Ground Zero site at the World Trade Center a national monument, protected and maintained by the United States government, so that hallowed ground and the memory of those who perished there will be preserved for all time, preserved forever.
00:21:04.000 Now, if you're a New Yorker, that is a pretty important thing to hear.
00:21:08.000 I think it hits harder if you are from New York.
00:21:11.000 Now, this is a debate that we talk about on this show.
00:21:14.000 You know, Trump is not going to win New York, most likely, right?
00:21:20.000 Now, I see that.
00:21:21.000 He's not.
00:21:24.000 Yeah, there's people in this audience that are gonna be like, no, New York's in play, New York's in play.
00:21:28.000 It's like, listen, I actually love him going to New York.
00:21:32.000 I'm not anti him going to New York.
00:21:34.000 I am pro him going to New York, actually.
00:21:36.000 First of all, it's a great place to raise money.
00:21:38.000 And he was getting some amazing, amazing viral clips.
00:21:42.000 He was the first president in American history to make a Bitcoin transaction earlier in the day.
00:21:48.000 And then he also had this great viral clip with Liam, who's a eight year old with a rare brain disorder.
00:21:55.000 We're gonna play that clip in just a second.
00:21:57.000 These things matter.
00:21:58.000 And it also matters that he's playing offense on their terrain.
00:22:01.000 So it has a compounding effect, and I think a positive effect across many different channels, and it has many different impacts.
00:22:09.000 And so whether or not he actually has a real chance to win New York, to me, is secondary to the fact that, A, it's a great place to raise money, B, you get viral clips, and C, you're saying to the world, we're confident in our campaign.
00:22:21.000 And I believe when you do this and you play You are actually helping boost states like Virginia, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Mexico, these states that are sort of second tier targets for the campaign, that hey, if we run the inside straight on election night, and it turns out that we've got more support than the polling has indicated, you might end up picking off of Virginia.
00:22:50.000 You might end up picking off a New Hampshire.
00:22:52.000 You might end up picking off an NE2.
00:22:54.000 And we can talk about that in just a little bit.
00:22:56.000 But that I think that's actually under underneath the sort of play for New York, which everybody wants New York to go red.
00:23:03.000 It would be the first time since Reagan.
00:23:06.000 I think underneath it, it just sends a message of confidence to the entire electorate and to his base that we're playing to win.
00:23:11.000 We're playing aggressively.
00:23:13.000 And there's a lot of there's there's a lot more states at play than the media would have you have you think.
00:23:18.000 Charlie?
00:23:19.000 I agree with that.
00:23:22.000 I'm trying my best here, but Trump is at his best when he plays offense.
00:23:27.000 Trump is at his best when he plays offense.
00:23:30.000 And being in New York, he was also raising money there yesterday.
00:23:33.000 So I was pleased to see it.
00:23:35.000 Good.
00:23:36.000 How about we get into the Nebraska thing?
00:23:38.000 We get emails about this all the time.
00:23:40.000 We know people want updates on it.
00:23:42.000 Well, hold on.
00:23:43.000 First of all, I want to underscore a point I made here.
00:23:45.000 Which is one of the reasons I lost my voice.
00:23:48.000 For the record, Nebraska News is one of the reasons I lost my voice.
00:23:52.000 Because I didn't get a chance to take a traditional Shabbat.
00:23:56.000 And instead, we brought the whole team out to Nebraska.
00:23:59.000 And yeah, we talked all day long and went to a football game, all that stuff.
00:24:04.000 And we have some good news Blake can share.
00:24:07.000 Do you want to hit your last thing, Andrew, or should I just get into it?
00:24:09.000 All right.
00:24:10.000 This is Liam.
00:24:13.000 Everybody I've showed this clip to ends up getting He's eight years old.
00:24:21.000 He has a rare brain disorder.
00:24:24.000 Trump found out about it, sent him a letter on his birthday, which is part of this clip, I believe.
00:24:31.000 Maybe Ryan cut it short.
00:24:34.000 If you don't, get the original too, Ryan.
00:24:36.000 But the 102 is Trump took time before he went on stage.
00:24:40.000 He even gave Liam a shout out from stage last night.
00:24:43.000 He took time to deliver him a present.
00:24:46.000 And I guess Liam got good seats at the rally last night.
00:24:48.000 So let's go ahead and play Cut 102.
00:24:51.000 I'm supposed to be at that stage, but that doesn't matter.
00:24:55.000 Because I got you the best present you'll ever have.
00:24:57.000 This is the best present you'll ever have.
00:25:00.000 How are you?
00:25:00.000 Bob?
00:25:01.000 Hi, Mom.
00:25:01.000 Hi.
00:25:01.000 Okay, honey.
00:25:03.000 This is yours.
00:25:04.000 And in there is real good stuff.
00:25:07.000 Okay?
00:25:07.000 So beautiful.
00:25:09.000 Thank you.
00:25:09.000 See?
00:25:10.000 Look at that.
00:25:12.000 One of these great photographers.
00:25:14.000 We're going to have that picture for life.
00:25:15.000 Okay?
00:25:16.000 You and I. Is she going to come out and watch me?
00:25:20.000 Of course.
00:25:20.000 So, Charlie, you were blowing us up about this when you saw this clip last night.
00:25:28.000 system ready.
00:25:29.000 So why don't we do this?
00:25:30.000 Take care of yourself.
00:25:31.000 It's okay, I'm going to go right after this.
00:25:32.000 Take care of yourself, honey, okay?
00:25:33.000 I wish I looked like that if I looked like that if he was president.
00:25:42.000 So Charlie, you were blowing us up about this when you saw this clip last night.
00:25:47.000 You were like, this is President Trump at his best.
00:25:50.000 He is a man of the people.
00:25:51.000 I mean, certainly this, this is a, the more private interactions, the better.
00:25:57.000 Trump 2.0 more local, more retail, more, more viral clips.
00:26:02.000 This is Charlie's advice to the campaign.
00:26:04.000 Less rallies, more intimate show the human side of president Trump.
00:26:08.000 And this was, this was that moment.
00:26:10.000 And this was a followup to what we saw, I think just probably like four or five days ago.
00:26:20.000 Can you read it?
00:26:21.000 Out loud?
00:26:22.000 Sure!
00:26:22.000 carefully. Can you read it? Out loud? Sure. It says, Dear Liam, Happy 8th birthday.
00:26:48.000 Mrs. Trump and I hope you enjoy this special occasion surrounded by the love of your family and friends.
00:26:54.000 We are so encouraged by the strength and determination you have shown throughout your young life and send our love and best wishes to you as you continue to fight.
00:27:02.000 Remember you are never alone and we are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers for continued health, for continued care and good health.
00:27:11.000 May God bless you and your family.
00:27:13.000 Stay strong, sincerely.
00:27:14.000 Can you tell me who signed that?
00:27:17.000 Donald Trump.
00:27:19.000 He knew it was your birthday coming up?
00:27:21.000 What do you say to him?
00:27:23.000 Thank you.
00:27:25.000 I love you.
00:27:27.000 What else do we say?
00:27:28.000 Thank you.
00:27:32.000 Maybe it's just because I have three little kids, but that clip absolutely ruins me to see how happy this kid who's had such a tough life with this brain disorder reacting to President Trump, giving him a personal note there.

00:28:50.000 Blake, Charlie, I'm going to let you guys run point here on the Nebraska news,
00:28:57.000 but suffice to say, it's a live ball.
00:29:00.000 Nebraska winner take all is a live ball.
00:29:03.000 Yeah.
00:29:04.000 So let me speak as much as I can about this, which is not a lot, both literally and metaphorically, by the way.
00:29:10.000 So we were in Nebraska this last weekend.
00:29:12.000 We had some private meetings.
00:29:13.000 We also did a lot of stuff, a man on the street.
00:29:16.000 And there hasn't been a lot of news on winner take all, but I'm going to have Blake walk you through what is now public.
00:29:24.000 Sure thing, Charlie.
00:29:31.000 So first of all, just in case people have forgotten or you weren't around here in the springtime when we first really started talking about this, what matters here?
00:29:40.000 So Nebraska is one of two states, Maine is the other, that doesn't award all its electoral votes to the statewide winner automatically.
00:29:48.000 Instead, they give single electoral votes For each district in the state.
00:29:54.000 And that's not a great thing because one of Nebraska's districts is essentially just Omaha and the area immediately around it.
00:30:02.000 And notably Joe Biden won that in 2020.
00:30:06.000 I believe Barack Obama won it in 2008.
00:30:08.000 So it's a district that can go blue.
00:30:11.000 And given Nebraska's overall a very Republican state, it's basically just handing Democrats a free electoral vote now in this election.
00:30:20.000 In the past, that didn't matter too much, but due to the census realignment we've had since 2020, states have changed their electoral vote totals, and the situation is such that it's highly—it's not the most likely scenario, but it's quite plausible that we would get a 270 to 268 Democrat win.
00:30:41.000 For example, if Kamala Harris holds on to Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, and we get the other swing states, That actually is a 270-268 Democrat win.
00:30:53.000 If we make Nebraska win or take all, it's 269-269, goes to the House, we have a shot.
00:31:00.000 There's other scenarios similar to that.
00:31:02.000 So, we have been fighting very hard at this show to get Nebraska to convene a special legislative session and make their state win or take all In November.
00:31:12.000 They absolutely can do this.
00:31:14.000 They have a Republican supermajority in their legislature.
00:31:19.000 They have the ability to call a special session.
00:31:22.000 This could be done.
00:31:23.000 And so we've been fighting hard for it.
00:31:26.000 Several of our allies in Nebraska have been fighting for it.
00:31:29.000 And we were there this past weekend to urge them to take this up and at least make sure
00:31:35.000 if it doesn't happen that we did everything possible to bring it about so that we don't
00:31:39.000 feel what could have been.
00:31:42.000 And we can't say everything that's happened.
00:31:44.000 It'll probably make a funny story one day if this all works out.
00:31:47.000 But what we can say is yesterday the entire Nebraska congressional delegation, so that's
00:31:53.000 Mike Flood, Deb Fischer, Pete Ricketts, Don Bacon, and Adrian Smith, that's their House
00:31:58.000 members and their senators, they all released a letter they had signed encouraging Governor
00:32:04.000 Pillen and Speaker Arch of the Nebraska Legislature.
00:32:08.000 They called on them to to implement winner-take-all.
00:32:12.000 This is useful, I believe, because especially Don Bacon, he represents that Omaha district, and one of the justifications for not doing this is that it would make him more vulnerable in this election.
00:32:24.000 So we want to praise him for, if there is that risk, that he sees that the country is more important.
00:32:30.000 Winning this election is the most important thing.
00:32:34.000 We also, I know this is going to sound funny to you, but Senator Lindsey Graham lady Graham was in we're gonna call him Lindsey Graham for this one.
00:32:42.000 He was in Nebraska on Wednesday.
00:32:45.000 He also met with lawmakers in that state Encouraging them to adopt winner-take-all and really laying out why this is so important as a national issue This is not a Nebraska thing.
00:32:56.000 It's not some peculiar local issue.
00:32:58.000 This is of national importance and could save the country so We'll thank Senator Lindsey Graham for this one, for getting behind us on this issue.
00:33:07.000 And so, we're not there yet, but there's momentum building for one last push.
00:33:12.000 This is from the Nebraska Examiner, and basically one of the holdouts has been Senator Mike McDonald of Omaha, and he switched from Democrat to Republican earlier this year, but he said at the time he would never support winner-take-all.
00:33:29.000 Five people attending the meeting confirmed that McDonald told the group he was looking for ways to get to yes.
00:33:37.000 So that's a huge update.
00:33:39.000 And then it's also from this, several who attended the meeting said some senators who had wavered earlier showed more support now for changing Nebraska to a winner-take-all system of awarding electoral votes this year.
00:33:54.000 Those are huge updates.
00:33:58.000 To see that McDonald's is coming around is probably the key.
00:34:02.000 If you do the math, McDonald's becomes basically the key vote.
00:34:05.000 Thanks so much for listening everybody and bearing with us as Charlie nurses his voice.
00:34:09.000 Thanks so much.
00:34:10.000 Talk to you soon.
