00:00:35.000 Buckle up, everybody.
00:00:36.000 Here we go.
00:00:37.000 Charlie, what you've done is incredible here.
00:00:39.000 Maybe Charlie Kirk is on the college campus.
00:00:41.000 I want you to know we are lucky to have Charlie Kirk.
00:00:44.000 Charlie Kirk's running the White House, folks.
00:00:48.000 I want to thank Charlie.
00:00:49.000 He's an incredible guy.
00:00:50.000 His spirit, his love of this country, he's done an amazing job building one of the most powerful youth organizations ever created.
00:00:57.000 Turning point USA.
00:00:58.000 We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives, and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country.
00:01:07.000 That's why we are here.
00:01:10.000 Brought to you by the Loan Experts I Trust, Andrew and Todd at Sierra Pacific Mortgage at AndrewandTodd.com.
00:01:19.000 I meant to mention this the other day, and I need to do it now.
00:01:23.000 So we're actually right after the show, board an American Airlines flight straight to Miami for a very important event happening tomorrow.
00:01:30.000 So if you're in the South Florida area, I'd love to see you.
00:01:33.000 We are having an event.
00:01:34.000 Turning Point USA is hosting Yair Bolsoniero, President Bolsoniero of Brazil, definitely in the news.
00:01:44.000 And I'm going to have a chance to talk to him as well.
00:01:46.000 I'm super curious about Brazil.
00:01:49.000 Admittedly, I don't know a lot about the political dynamics there, but I've been told it's very similar to America in a lot of different ways and very different in other ways.
00:01:58.000 So tomorrow at the Trump Doral Hotel in Miami, if you want to come hear Bolsonaro speak, I'll be there as well.
00:02:06.000 I think it's around 5 p.m., if I'm not mistaken.
00:02:09.000 It's tpusa.com slash Brazil, if I'm not mistaken.
00:02:14.000 You guys can check out the website, get your tickets.
00:02:18.000 Tickets are running low.
00:02:20.000 The demand is absolutely incredible.
00:02:22.000 So it's tpusa.com/slash Brazil.
00:02:25.000 If you want to get your tickets, power the people with President Bolsonaro at Trump Doral.
00:02:31.000 Yeah, there it is right there.
00:02:31.000 If we could put that up on screen, it's going to be a very interesting speech.
00:02:36.000 I'm certainly going to learn a lot.
00:02:38.000 I know a lot of you have questions about what's happening in Brazil.
00:02:41.000 Why is Bolsoniero in America?
00:02:44.000 How does that involve the West?
00:02:46.000 What does that have to do with the CCP's attempted conquest of Central and South America?
00:02:52.000 A lot to learn.
00:02:54.000 And if you want to go there tomorrow to see it for yourself, if you live in South Florida or Florida in general, if you want to fly in for it, go to tpusa.com/slash Brazil.
00:03:04.000 Real America's voice is going to be there.
00:03:05.000 And also, I'm going to be asking Bolsonaro some questions myself, which I'm really excited about.
00:03:11.000 So hopefully, see you tomorrow in South Florida.
00:03:14.000 We're also going to be doing the show there, and it's going to be great.
00:03:19.000 Okay, email us your thoughts, freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:03:21.000 Let's get to some sound here.
00:03:22.000 I didn't get a chance to cover this as it happens.
00:03:24.000 This is a little bit delayed.
00:03:26.000 Let's go to Cut 53.
00:03:27.000 MSNBC reporting that FBI agents are currently searching Biden's home.
00:03:33.000 I think this is his second home.
00:03:34.000 How many homes does this guy have?
00:03:36.000 A lot for a politician on a politician's salary.
00:03:38.000 It really makes you think how that is possible.
00:03:41.000 I think we know the answer.
00:03:42.000 Play Cut 53.
00:03:43.000 According to three sources familiar with this matter, FBI agents, as we speak, are searching President Biden's Rehobus Beach home for classified documents.
00:03:56.000 This comes, of course, after there have been a discovery of a number of batches of documents at his think tank here in Washington and also at his home in Wilmington, Delaware.
00:04:06.000 Joe Biden deserves to go to jail for the rest of his life, period.
00:04:10.000 Joe Biden should not be a free citizen.
00:04:12.000 He should not be president of the United States.
00:04:14.000 What Joe Biden has done with selling out our country, the deals with foreign leaders, what he's done with Hunter Biden is treason.
00:04:24.000 So I have no reason to feel sorry for Joe Biden or to go out of the way to say, oh, poor Joe Biden, all this.
00:04:32.000 But I'll be very honest with you.
00:04:34.000 I don't like this.
00:04:36.000 I don't like the fact that the FBI can decide to go after the head of the executive branch.
00:04:44.000 Now, I know Joe Biden, I do not believe, legitimately went through the process of the fair and free election.
00:04:49.000 I don't believe that.
00:04:50.000 And I know you don't either.
00:04:51.000 That's not the point.
00:04:52.000 The point is he is the president of the United States.
00:04:54.000 That is true.
00:04:56.000 And it is not right to have the fourth branch of government, the administrative state that nobody elected, that nobody voted for, be able to say, we want to go after a president for whatever reason.
00:05:13.000 And I know this is difficult for some people to hear because there is so much deep-seated hatred for Biden.
00:05:19.000 Obviously, I share that.
00:05:21.000 So I'm kind of conflicted by doing this.
00:05:22.000 I'm kind of cheering on the demise of Joe Biden because I think he's a craven old man who thought he was untouchable for his entire political career.
00:05:31.000 And now all of a sudden, the very same machine that he thought he controlled is now coming after him.
00:05:37.000 Yeah, that's filled with delicious irony.
00:05:39.000 But we should take a step back and we should ask a question.
00:05:42.000 Are we witnessing a shadow government that is removing another president of the United States?
00:05:50.000 And if so, if we do not challenge it now, what is to say that this very same shadow government will not remove a second term of Donald Trump or attempt to do so?
00:06:01.000 Or to say that they're going to go after another president?
00:06:04.000 This is the fourth time that we know of their doing it.
00:06:07.000 JFK, Nixon, Trump, Biden.
00:06:10.000 Why they're going after Joe Biden is speculation.
00:06:14.000 We can guess.
00:06:17.000 We can guess that it's because Joe Biden is not going to win reelection in 2024.
00:06:25.000 It could be as a way to control Joe Biden.
00:06:29.000 But these are just the examples, obviously, that we know about.
00:06:32.000 The deep state is always going after constantly.
00:06:35.000 The machine is grinding and grinding and grinding after people that they deem to be a threat.
00:06:42.000 And to be consistent, I think we as constitutional conservatives, populists, and nationalists, should say we don't like this.
00:06:51.000 That the fourth branch of government should not be able to emerge out of nowhere, the administrative state, and say, we don't like a president.
00:06:59.000 We're just going to displace them.
00:07:02.000 The Patriot Act gave these people way too much power.
00:07:07.000 The idea of separation of powers and checks and balances and to have an executive that has some executive power and is not just able to be removed or softly removed or removed in slow motion.
00:07:27.000 This should not be a controversial statement.
00:07:29.000 Now, again, it's difficult to make this argument and to make it resonate because I know so many of you are probably cheering for the demise of Joe Biden.
00:07:37.000 But are you really going to get rid of Joe Biden or the essence of Joe Biden?
00:07:40.000 No, you're just going to get somebody even worse like Camel Harris or Gavin Newsom or a Pelosi acolyte.
00:07:46.000 It's the machine that we should be very worried about.
00:07:49.000 And they have zero remorse whatsoever for doing this.
00:07:52.000 So my current hypothesis on this is that the Federal Bureau of Investigation is doing this because Joe Biden is no longer useful to the regime.
00:08:03.000 He was a bridge president.
00:08:05.000 But also they're trying to show in the soon-to-be public congressional testimony how bipartisan they are.
00:08:13.000 You see, they're trying to create the appearance.
00:08:16.000 They're going to say, well, look, in all fairness, me, you know, Christopher Wray.
00:08:21.000 and the FBI, they went after Mar-a-Lago and they went after Joe Biden's beach home.
00:08:27.000 So therefore, look, the FBI, we are equal opportunity offenders.
00:08:31.000 And so as I'm watching this tape after tape after tape of the FBI raid or search or whatever word you want to use of Joe Biden's personal residences, yeah, I mean, we should make fun of it and we should say, okay, Joe Biden, you know, the very same Leviathan that you spent your entire career pandering and carrying water for is now coming after you.
00:08:53.000 That's all correct.
00:08:54.000 We should also say, you know what?
00:08:55.000 I hope that Joe Biden goes to jail, which I certainly hope he does.
00:09:02.000 But all that can simultaneously be true with a fair dose of caution where we say this is not right.
00:09:14.000 It is not right to allow the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Justice and the fourth branch of government to rear its head unchecked to be able to remove a president of the United States.
00:09:28.000 And that is not to say that Joe Biden doesn't deserve to go to jail.
00:09:32.000 Of course he does.
00:09:33.000 I'm going to be cheering for that.
00:09:35.000 But I think you're seeing the slow motion removal of a president for whatever reason.
00:09:39.000 That is a bad precedent.
00:09:40.000 I believe it's unconstitutional.
00:09:42.000 I believe it is the working of a shadow government.
00:09:45.000 And I find it to be wrong.
00:09:47.000 And I think you should too.
00:09:51.000 Rents are soaring at unprecedented highs.
00:09:54.000 If you're renting or have a friend or family member that is, now is a great time to make the move to homeownership.
00:10:00.000 Look, you got to own renting, that's great reset stuff.
00:10:03.000 Andrew Del Rey and Todd Avakian at Sierra Pacific Mortgage have helped so many people make that leap from renting to owning with lots of programs that offer first-time buyers assistance with little to no down payment needed.
00:10:16.000 I encourage you right now to visit my buddies, their website.
00:10:19.000 They're great guys.
00:10:20.000 They're Christians.
00:10:20.000 They're conservatives.
00:10:21.000 They love the Lord.
00:10:22.000 AndrewNTodd.com right now.
00:10:24.000 The thing I love about these guys is it's not about the transaction.
00:10:27.000 They're helping you create a plan to help you reach your goals.
00:10:31.000 Give them a call or go to their website, andrewandTodd.com.
00:10:33.000 With today's still historically low interest rates, it's easier than you think to become a homeowner.
00:10:38.000 I've relied on them and producer Andrew has as well.
00:10:41.000 I highly recommend you take action now.
00:10:43.000 And if you knew someone paying rent, tell them about Andrew and Todd.
00:10:46.000 Go to andrewandtodd.com and tell them the Charlie Kirk show sent you.
00:10:53.000 Getting a fair amount of emails on this topic.
00:10:55.000 Welcome back, everybody.
00:10:56.000 Email us freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:10:59.000 I think the audience is split.
00:11:01.000 Some are saying, Charlie, I'm cheering for the FBI.
00:11:03.000 I hope they take down Joe Biden and the entire Democrat cabal with them.
00:11:08.000 I think that's respectfully a rather naive take to act as if the FBI is really going to take down the Democrat Party.
00:11:16.000 Now, they're doing the bidding of the Democrat Party, and they have for quite some time.
00:11:23.000 Other people say, Charlie, rather harsh emails that we receive that are very insulting, but I'm not going to read them on air.
00:11:30.000 But generally, the sentiment of some of these emails are, Charlie, you don't know what you're talking about.
00:11:34.000 They're a little more intense in the wording of that way.
00:11:37.000 But they say, basically, Joe Biden needs to be in prison.
00:11:41.000 You should be cheering this on.
00:11:43.000 And yeah, I mean, look, obviously I have a heart for justice and I want to see Joe Biden in prison.
00:11:50.000 I'll say that repeatedly.
00:11:51.000 I think he's a traitor to the United States.
00:11:53.000 But I'm not going to applaud or delight in people that I don't know about and you don't know about of the administrative state that just appear out of nowhere, the shadow government that can call the shots.
00:12:09.000 I don't think that's constitutional.
00:12:11.000 I don't think it's sustainable at all.
00:12:15.000 Someone says, Charlie, I agree with you about the fourth branch of government.
00:12:18.000 It almost seems like the left is trying to put the peg in place.
00:12:21.000 We do not want to take the presidency back, so let us be able to remove any Republican president.
00:12:24.000 They know they've messed it up over the past few years, and people are waking up and seeing the world that's been, seeing the wool that's been pulled over their eyes from Idaho.
00:12:32.000 Thank you.
00:12:34.000 So I do want your thoughts, Freedom, at CharlieKirk.com.
00:12:36.000 I find this to be interesting, and I don't want to celebrate in this occurring at all.
00:12:44.000 I don't think, I think it sets a really bad precedent.
00:12:46.000 I think it's a pattern that's just going to continue to manifest one time after the other.
00:12:53.000 Okay, I want to talk about Ron DeSantis here.
00:12:55.000 Ron DeSantis has been unbelievably effective on an educational rampage, you could call it.
00:13:01.000 A couple weeks ago, you might have heard that Florida's State Board of Education rejected the college board's proposed AP African American Studies class.
00:13:09.000 This is a course that would supposedly offer college-level instruction in black studies to high school kids.
00:13:16.000 They claim it's been in the works for a decade, though it obviously got slapped together after George Floyd.
00:13:22.000 The draft class was full of CRT, abolition of prisons, BLM, all this nonsense.
00:13:28.000 And so Florida just said, no, we're not going to do this.
00:13:30.000 This violates our laws, has no educational value.
00:13:34.000 And yesterday, the college board totally caved.
00:13:37.000 They released a revised syllabus for the class, which took out CRT, BLM, and all of this nonsense from Taha Nisi Coates, from Harry Rogers and Ibram X. Kendi and Nicole Hanna-Jones.
00:13:50.000 Now, with that being said, I still don't think Florida should approve a black studies curriculum.
00:13:55.000 Black studies is always going to be politicized, and we should not have high school studies based on race, period.
00:14:03.000 There shouldn't be white studies.
00:14:04.000 There should not be Latino studies.
00:14:06.000 Racially themed classes are not appropriate in an educational environment.
00:14:11.000 Now, if Florida does approve the class, it's still been a show of force and it's been a win.
00:14:16.000 And the left is beginning to just lose their mind on this.
00:14:19.000 They can't comprehend how effective Ron DeSantis has been in pushing back against critical race theory, postmodernism, post-structuralism, fighting for objective truth, the pursuit of goodness and beauty.
00:14:33.000 Ron DeSantis has done more in the crusade for parent-centered, pro-American, decent, common-sense education than any other Republican that I can think of.
00:14:45.000 And why is not every Republican doing this?
00:14:47.000 It's a really good question.
00:14:48.000 Joy Reed cut 84.
00:14:52.000 This is the greatest endorsement I could think of.
00:14:54.000 Play Cut 84.
00:14:55.000 What DeSantis is doing is intentional.
00:14:57.000 He's turning Florida into a right-wing paradise where the focus isn't on healthcare or jobs or taxes or infrastructure or I don't know, but rather on the right-wing culture wars and nothing but the right-wing culture wars.
00:15:09.000 And he's ticking all the boxes.
00:15:11.000 He's taking aim at drag performances, even suggesting that he would urge the state's child protective services to investigate parents who take their own kids to one.
00:15:22.000 He's actively trying to ban COVID vaccine mandates and restricting mask rules while at the same time calling for probes into supposed wrongdoing linked to the vaccine.
00:15:33.000 It's a right-wing fantasy land like Disney World, but in hell.
00:15:37.000 Come to Florida, the meanest place on earth.
00:15:40.000 That sounds great.
00:15:42.000 I'm going there tonight, actually, Joy Reed, and I can't wait.
00:15:47.000 That alone should be just the endorsement of what Ron DeSantis is doing in Florida.
00:15:52.000 And that doesn't even count the new college, the parent-centric education stuff he's doing.
00:15:57.000 It does beg a question, why is it that other governors are not doing this?
00:16:02.000 Strange, isn't it?
00:16:03.000 That in Florida of all places, one of the largest, most populous states, that you're able to get that much done certainly is raising the bar of what can be done in red states.
00:16:17.000 Did you know that gold was the best performing asset in 2022?

00:16:42.000 If you invested in Bitcoin a year ago, you'd be down more than 65%.
00:16:45.000 If you invested in Dow a year ago, you'd be down almost 10%.
00:16:49.000 Yes, gold has outperformed all of them in 2022, and silver was not far behind.

00:17:22.000 Joining us now is Senator Rick Scott from the sunny and wonderful state of Florida.
00:17:27.000 Senator Scott, welcome back to the program.
00:17:30.000 I was incensed when I saw this story.
00:17:32.000 McConnell pulls rival Rick Scott off Powerful Commerce Committee.
00:17:37.000 I tweeted about this, and it's been seen by well over a million people.
00:17:41.000 What's your immediate reaction to Senator McConnell basically showing to the world that he's enacting revenge against people that are actually trying to improve the Senate?
00:17:51.000 And Charlie, I still have my parking spot.
00:17:53.000 So next week we'll find out if I lose that.
00:17:58.000 But think about it.
00:17:59.000 I put out a plan.
00:18:00.000 That was the challenge.
00:18:01.000 Oh, gosh, we're not going to, that's what McConnell said.
00:18:04.000 We will not have a plan.
00:18:06.000 We're not going to tell people what we believe in.
00:18:08.000 We're just going to attack those darn Democrats.
00:18:10.000 That's all we're going to do.
00:18:12.000 And so when I put out my plan last February to rescue the country, that was it.
00:18:17.000 And then when I challenged him for leader, because look, we got to stop caving.
00:18:21.000 We got a Republican Party around the country.
00:18:23.000 We just don't have one in D.C. Think about Charlie.
00:18:26.000 Look at all the ways we caved last year.
00:18:29.000 I mean, so, so, you know, look, he said, he's trying to send a message.
00:18:32.000 I'm not going to back down.
00:18:33.000 I'm the ranking member is Ted Cruz.
00:18:35.000 I've got a great part, you know, good relationship.
00:18:38.000 I've got a great relationship with Ted.
00:18:39.000 I'm going to, I'm going to keep fighting for Florida families and I'll work with Ted.
00:18:43.000 Yeah, I mean, just walk our audience through, though, how does Mitch McConnell have this much power?
00:18:47.000 Is it just because he was elected Senate minority leader and he could just basically because the conference gave it to him?
00:18:54.000 I mean, I don't know if it's ever been used like this in the past, but you get to pick two committees that you don't have necessarily a right to them.
00:19:04.000 It's done based on seniority.
00:19:06.000 But, you know, I served on this committee for four years.
00:19:10.000 I mean, Mike Lee, I think, has been on the committee for six years.
00:19:12.000 He got kicked off too.
00:19:15.000 It doesn't make sense.
00:19:16.000 First off, I'm a business guy.
00:19:18.000 This is commerce.
00:19:19.000 All right.
00:19:20.000 I probably ran the biggest company of anybody that's served in the Senate.
00:19:24.000 Maybe I don't know for sure right now.
00:19:27.000 I'm responsible for the state that has the third biggest economy in the country, one of the top 12 or 13 biggest economies in the world.
00:19:36.000 And I was governor of that for eight years.
00:19:39.000 I focused on economic development constantly.
00:19:41.000 How do we grow our economy and how do we get more jobs?
00:19:44.000 But, you know, look, this was your third A committee.
00:19:48.000 I'm on armed services and I'm on Homeland Security, which says it's the investigation committee.
00:19:53.000 My third A was this one.
00:19:55.000 And under our conference rules, not the rules, you know, just the way the Republican conference worked, you know, we've given the, you know, McConnell the ability to pick third.
00:20:06.000 So I'm off.
00:20:07.000 Lee's off.
00:20:08.000 So, I mean, this makes no, it makes no sense to me, but look.
00:20:13.000 I'm not going to back down.
00:20:14.000 I put out a plan because I believe in it.
00:20:16.000 I ran against McConnell because I believe that we got to change the direction of this country.
00:20:20.000 We can't keep caving into the Democrats, and I'm not going to back down.
00:20:23.000 This is what I believe in.
00:20:24.000 This is what I told people when I got elected.
00:20:26.000 And I'm running again in 24, and I'm going to do the same thing.
00:20:29.000 We're going to change Washington.
00:20:31.000 We're not going to continue to have this dysfunctional place that people up here.
00:20:34.000 They don't care about you.
00:20:36.000 I mean, look at 31 half to reinforce the debt because they want to spend money.
00:20:40.000 It's just spend, So it's all their big government crowd in Wall Street that want to spend all this money.
00:20:46.000 And, you know, Democrats and some Republicans are all okay with it.
00:20:50.000 Yeah.
00:20:50.000 And just so everyone in the audience understands, so Senator Scott worked his tail off this last cycle, raised a bunch of money to try to change Senate leadership and to actually have your voice represented in Washington, D.C. put together a 12-point plan.
00:21:04.000 Some of it you might agree with, some of you might disagree with, but he ran on something, unlike Mitch McConnell, who just raises a bunch of money in complete and total perpetual opposition.
00:21:13.000 McConnell, I think, got what he wanted, which was to stay as minority leader and or majority leader.
00:21:18.000 Didn't really care as long as he was in control.
00:21:21.000 And now he is exacting revenge on the people that tried to challenge him.
00:21:27.000 And this infuriates our audience, and it should infuriate our audience because this is really what McConnell is focused on.
00:21:32.000 It's so spiteful, Senator, isn't it?
00:21:36.000 Yeah, yeah.
00:21:37.000 I mean, we'll see what happens next week.
00:21:39.000 I mean, I don't know.
00:21:40.000 I mean, we ought to be up here trying to figure out how do we, you know, maybe we ought to secure the border.
00:21:45.000 Maybe we ought to get inflation under control.
00:21:47.000 Maybe we ought to get, you know, make sure, you know, we don't end up in wars all over the world.
00:21:52.000 Maybe we ought to figure this stuff, you know, solve the problems people elected us to do that we ran on and say, you know, all this petty stuff.
00:22:01.000 But look, I'm going to keep working.
00:22:02.000 I'm not going to back down.
00:22:03.000 This is what I believe in.
00:22:04.000 I'm going to represent my state aggressively.
00:22:06.000 And I'm not going to, I don't, I, here's what I tell people.
00:22:09.000 I came up here to represent Florida.
00:22:11.000 That's my job.
00:22:12.000 It's not to become a member of a club.
00:22:14.000 It's to represent my state.
00:22:16.000 I want to play a piece of tape here and talk about the national debt.
00:22:19.000 Senator, you've been talking about it for a while.
00:22:22.000 Unfortunately, this is a bipartisan problem.
00:22:24.000 Both parties have really turned the spigot on deficit and deficit spending and debt accumulation of the last couple of years.
00:22:32.000 Let's play cut three.
00:22:33.000 Lucas Tomlinson talking about interest rates.
00:22:36.000 Play cut three.
00:22:38.000 $100.5 trillion.
00:22:39.000 It's hard to wrap your mind around that number.
00:22:42.000 Give us some context.
00:22:44.000 Well, for context, with higher interest rates, the interest payments on that $31 trillion in the years to come, next few years, will approach the size of the defense budget, Mike.
00:22:53.000 That's how much money we're dealing with.
00:22:54.000 It could be potentially $800 billion, interest payments alone on $31 trillion debt.
00:23:00.000 And recall.
00:23:01.000 Senator, that's $800 billion just on interest.
00:23:05.000 Why are our politicians not focusing on this?
00:23:08.000 Right.
00:23:09.000 The primary job is defense, right?
00:23:11.000 That's what we want.
00:23:12.000 We want to defend the freedoms of this country.
00:23:14.000 And now what we're talking about, because, you know, Congress doesn't want to, you know, do its job, live within our means.
00:23:20.000 You do it.
00:23:20.000 Families do it.
00:23:21.000 Businesses do it.
00:23:22.000 But here's the deal.
00:23:23.000 The left, the big government crowd, there's a lot of people.
00:23:26.000 They make a fortune off of spending money.
00:23:28.000 Wall Street, they've said, you've got to spend more money.
00:23:32.000 You've got to have more debt.
00:23:33.000 You know what?
00:23:33.000 The world will fall apart.
00:23:35.000 You know, there's going to be plagues.
00:23:37.000 Moses is going to flinch.
00:23:38.000 And if you try to say, no, they won't.
00:23:41.000 I mean, we've got to balance the budget.
00:23:43.000 Then you're the problem.
00:23:44.000 This is just a complete lie.
00:23:46.000 So when you see interest rates up, when you buy a house or you look at your credit card, hey, you know what?
00:23:52.000 When you see those egg prices, you can't afford the eggs anymore, the meat.
00:23:55.000 You have to say, well, those bureaucrats in D.C., they're doing well.
00:23:58.000 Wall Street, they're making more money.
00:23:59.000 The rich get richer.
00:24:01.000 But when you, the average American, want to live your life without all the inflation, gas price, all this stuff, then you are the problem because you're just, you've just got to borrow more money.
00:24:12.000 No, you can't, Charlie.
00:24:14.000 We can't go to the bank and just say, whatever I want, I get to borrow more money.
00:24:18.000 But somehow up here, they think there's no day of reckoning.
00:24:23.000 They think that forever, everybody's going to want to buy our treasury bonds.
00:24:27.000 You know what?
00:24:28.000 When the buyers of treasury bonds finally say, you know what, those taxpayers in the United States of America, they're probably not going to raise their taxes to pay for this.
00:24:36.000 Then we're going to have a big problem.
00:24:37.000 And it's going to be in what?
00:24:38.000 $31.5 trillion for the debt with Biden plan, we go to $45 trillion.
00:24:43.000 When does this end?
00:24:45.000 But now, what is it?
00:24:46.000 Tomorrow?
00:24:47.000 Is $35 trillion enough?
00:24:48.000 $43 enough?
00:24:49.000 $45?
00:24:50.000 When will we do this?
00:24:51.000 If we don't figure out how to live with intermediates now, when will we do it?
00:24:55.000 Never, according to these people.
00:24:56.000 Yeah, and the Democrats are totally uninterested in engaging in this or actually trying to make prudent decisions in this regard in any way.
00:25:04.000 And we are massively heading towards a long-term inflationary cycle.
00:25:09.000 That's what they're going to end up saying soon because they're going to realize that they do not have the political courage and/or intestinal fortitude to make the fiscal decisions necessary.
00:25:19.000 So they're probably going to say, listen, you just have to get used to 10 to 12% inflation.
00:25:22.000 We're just going to inflate our way out of the debt, which would be so terrible.
00:25:25.000 I mean, you've run a huge business, Senator.
00:25:28.000 What would that mean for the American people?
00:25:30.000 Well, you know, think about it.
00:25:32.000 Wages are not sitting up with inflation.
00:25:34.000 Charlie, you know, I grew up in, I lived in public housing.
00:25:37.000 I was born to a single mom.
00:25:38.000 You watch people like that.
00:25:40.000 Their wages never go up as fast as inflation goes up.
00:25:43.000 I mean, they're trying to buy eggs and make sure they feed their kids.
00:25:47.000 Look at what the price of eggs they have to drive to get to work and look at the price at what's happened to the price of gas.
00:25:52.000 I mean, this is devastating for poor people.
00:25:57.000 But it actually is devastating for everybody.
00:25:59.000 Everybody's cost quite.
00:26:00.000 But you know who does all right?
00:26:01.000 The rich get richer.
00:26:02.000 Wall Street that sells these bonds, they're making big bucks.
00:26:06.000 I mean, and D.C., we got to spend that money so people up here can make a little bit more money.
00:26:11.000 I mean, that's who may that's who's winning.
00:26:13.000 The loser is you.
00:26:15.000 Yes.
00:26:15.000 When you look at the go to the grocery store and say, if you guys raise the debt ceiling, you should be mad, okay, unless we have big changes where you know for sure we're going to balance this budget.
00:26:27.000 Yeah, I just, it the consensus in D.C.
00:26:32.000 It makes you mad, Charlie.
00:26:33.000 I mean, it just makes you mad because they don't, I mean, up here, they, they, you know, there's, they just don't want to do anything about it.
00:26:39.000 They just, let's just go on.
00:26:41.000 Rick, why are you such a problem?
00:26:43.000 Just agree.
00:26:43.000 Just go along with this.
00:26:44.000 It's okay.
00:26:45.000 No, it's not good for people.
00:26:48.000 Yeah, no doubt.
00:26:49.000 Senator, really quick, we had Senator Cruz on the program yesterday who called for the impeachment of Mayorkas and Garland.
00:26:57.000 What are your thoughts?
00:26:57.000 Do you think that is time well spent in the U.S. Senate?
00:27:00.000 What are your thoughts on holding the Biden cabinet officials accountable?
00:27:04.000 Charlie, if it's the only way we can hold them accountable, because they have, there's no accountability.
00:27:10.000 First off, think about it.
00:27:11.000 I mean, Maorkis comes and lies to us.
00:27:13.000 I'm on homeline security.
00:27:14.000 He says the Board of Secure.
00:27:16.000 And Garland, you know, there's a raid at Mar-a-Lago, won't tell us why.
00:27:21.000 But then, oh, President Biden, maybe, maybe after you've gone through all your documents, could we come and look maybe, maybe?
00:27:28.000 I mean, they don't tell us anything.
00:27:30.000 So if that's the only way we can give them information, I mean, that's, I mean, these people work for you and me.
00:27:37.000 Congress is the oversight.
00:27:39.000 And these people act like no, we have no ability to oversight.
00:27:42.000 So if that's the only way we can do it, that's what they're going to force us to do.
00:27:47.000 That's right.
00:27:49.000 Well, I support impeachment, and I hope that the House does it.
00:27:52.000 And I know that it won't be successful in the Senate as far as conviction, but it certainly will shine a light on that.
00:27:57.000 Senator Scott, thank you so much.
00:27:59.000 Absolutely.
00:27:59.000 Thank you.
00:28:03.000 Okay, I want to build out the Ron DeSantis thing a little bit more.
00:28:06.000 Ron DeSantis is showing what a red state can become in regards to education.
00:28:11.000 No CRT, no queer theory, rejecting these radical ideas, and yes, even reforming the colleges within the state.
00:28:22.000 New College is supposed to be an honors college in Florida.
00:28:26.000 Supposed to be this really well-respected school.
00:28:31.000 And I'm sure some people in our audience have a connection to the school, and I'm sure somebody did.
00:28:36.000 Somebody's had a good time there.
00:28:37.000 But generally, it's not what it should be.
00:28:38.000 Okay, it's right next to Sarasota's airport.
00:28:40.000 I've driven by it several times.
00:28:41.000 I love this part of the world.
00:28:43.000 And New College of Florida, I talked about this in my exclusive interview with Governor DeSantis last week, is now totally changing.
00:28:49.000 And the media is losing their mind.
00:28:51.000 They're talking about how this is a hostile takeover of the college.
00:28:53.000 The college is failing.
00:28:54.000 It's not doing well.
00:28:55.000 No one's really heard of it.
00:28:56.000 And he says, you know what?
00:28:57.000 We want to turn this into an equivalent of what Hillsdale is in Michigan.
00:29:03.000 We want it to be a place of the pursuit of truth and goodness and beauty, rigorous academic standards.
00:29:08.000 And the reaction has been overwhelmingly.
00:29:11.000 And by the way, the left has had hostile takeover of education the last 30 or 40 years.
00:29:17.000 Why is it that conservatives can't have a school that appreciates the pursuit of truth, how to think about issues?
00:29:26.000 What is the Constitution?
00:29:27.000 What are the Federalist Papers?
00:29:28.000 What is the Declaration?
00:29:29.000 Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Aquinas, Augustine.
00:29:33.000 Dive deep into the literature that built the West, understand Shakespeare, understand the Bible, things that used to be taught in college.
00:29:40.000 That's what they want to do at New College of Florida.
00:29:44.000 And the left is losing their mind.
00:29:45.000 Now, before I go further into this, I said this earlier.
00:29:48.000 If you live in a red state, you should ask your governor why they have not taken over their colleges and implemented the same thing that Ron DeSantis is doing.
00:29:57.000 Why is this not happening in Indiana?
00:29:59.000 Why is this not happening in Kentucky?
00:30:01.000 Why is this not happening in Mississippi?
00:30:03.000 Why is this not happening in Alabama?
00:30:05.000 Why is this not happening in Texas?
00:30:07.000 Why is this not happening in Oklahoma?
00:30:10.000 Why is this not happening in Kansas?
00:30:12.000 What Ron DeSantis is doing, he just purged the board of new college and said, you're all fired.
00:30:15.000 You're done.
00:30:16.000 Here's new people.
00:30:18.000 Who cares?
00:30:20.000 I've been told by Republican governors, oh, that's too controversial.
00:30:23.000 I don't like doing that.
00:30:26.000 DeSantis is doing what I've been privately lobbying for for years, and he's honestly kind of leaving the rest of these Republican governors in the dust.
00:30:36.000 Ron DeSantis talks about the type of education that he wants in Florida.
00:30:41.000 Play cut 88.
00:30:44.000 The issue is we have guidelines and standards in Florida.
00:30:48.000 We want education, not indoctrination.
00:30:50.000 If you fall on the side of indoctrination, we're going to decline.
00:30:53.000 If it's education, then we will do this course on black history.
00:30:59.000 What's one of the lessons about queer theory?
00:31:03.000 Now, who would say that an important part of black history is queer theory?
00:31:09.000 That is somebody pushing an agenda on our kids.
00:31:12.000 And so when you look to see, they have stuff about intersectionality, abolishing prisons.
00:31:18.000 That's a political agenda.
00:31:20.000 And so we're on, that's the wrong side of the line for Florida standards.
00:31:24.000 We believe in teaching kids facts and how to think, but we don't believe they should have an agenda imposed on them.
00:31:32.000 Here is Howard University's professor Nikki Taylor saying that DeSantis is anti-intellectual for removing important social movements.
00:31:42.000 So Nikki Taylor thinks that Ron DeSantis is anti-intellectual because he doesn't think that children in Florida schools should learn how to be able to castrate themselves.
00:31:54.000 Play Cut 79.
00:31:57.000 First of all, I'm an intellectual, as are the people who design the curriculum.
00:32:01.000 You have to be honest to the history as an intellectual.
00:32:06.000 So it's very anti-intellectual for anybody to try to erase certain parts of black studies, black culture, black history, because they particularly don't like it or think it's controversial to them.
00:32:20.000 If you have to tell people you're an intellectual three times in a 20-second cable news interview, you're probably not that smart.
00:32:27.000 I'm sorry.
00:32:28.000 You have to keep on, hey, I'm an intellectual.
00:32:30.000 I'm an intellectual.
00:32:32.000 I'm an elect.
00:32:32.000 Yeah, okay.
00:32:34.000 Probably a little bit lacking of confidence, a little bit of self-awareness there.
00:32:42.000 And as my, as I say frequently, how do you know someone went to Harvard?
00:32:45.000 They'll tell you in the first three minutes, oh, yeah, what would you like for lunch?
00:32:49.000 Well, back at Harvard, I used to have a hot dog.
00:32:52.000 And then I became a vegan at Harvard.
00:32:56.000 Okay, pal.
00:32:57.000 Nikki Taylor, you know I'm an intellectual three times in one 20-second interview.
00:33:05.000 Thanks so much for listening, everybody.
