00:01:54.000 Back by popular demand.

00:01:56.000 And I actually do mean that.

00:01:58.000 It's not just me making a silly joke.

00:02:01.000 These episodes absolutely fly.

00:02:03.000 I don't know why.

00:02:04.000 Maybe they like Alex Clark.

00:02:05.000 Maybe you all are just starved for pop culture and how it relates to the world and the culture at large and politics and all those things.

00:02:13.000 We have a star-studded cast, and I will start with our newest addition.

00:02:17.000 She just ran in here and she made it just in time.

00:02:19.000 Alex Clark, TPUSA contributor and pop culture icon herself.

00:02:23.000 Thank you for joining us today.

00:02:25.000 Thank you for having me.

00:02:26.000 I got in at the skin of my teeth, fashionably late.

00:02:29.000 Fashionably late, per usual.

00:02:31.000 And Daisy Phelps, one of the producers on the show.

00:02:33.000 Hi.

00:02:34.000 Resident Swifty.

00:02:35.000 It drives us all a little bit nuts, but that's okay.

00:02:38.000 Swiftie is an American icon.

00:02:40.000 It's important to be up in the know.

00:02:41.000 And then Blake Neff, who hasn't really been in touch with pop culture since Guns N' Roses in the early 90s.

00:02:47.000 I have an Appetite for Destruction shirt.

00:02:48.000 It's one of the best albums ever made, and then music went away.

00:02:52.000 We were singing Welcome to the Jungle this morning.

00:02:54.000 I do believe it's fact-checked true.

00:02:58.000 We have to do a pop culture update to inform the audience, let them know what the heck's going on.

00:03:03.000 We've got Swifties for Trump, Brittany Mahomes. 0.99

00:03:06.000 We've got breakups, contractual breakups.

00:03:09.000 We've got to make sense of all of this.

00:03:11.000 There's also a Mormon story that's pretty spicy that we're going to get to apparently.

00:03:15.000 I know about as much as you do, so buckle up. 0.93

00:03:18.000 Here we go.

00:03:19.000 Let's start with this contractual breakup between Travis Kelsey and Taylor Swift.

00:03:25.000 Is it totally debunked or are they just CYAing right now?

00:03:29.000 I mean, they've said that it's debunked, but the date in the fake contract that said they were going to break up was September 28th.

00:03:37.000 So I guess we won't really know until September 28th.

00:03:40.000 Well, they're not going to do the same date if they got outed on it.

00:03:43.000 They're going to move it to, like, you know, they might have just locked themselves into, like, the whole NFL season.

00:03:49.000 Well, we also will get a sort of an answer or a hint tonight if the Chiefs and Ravens play tonight, 8.20 p.m.

00:03:56.000 Eastern Time, if Taylor The Daily Mail this morning said that Taylor would be at the game today.

00:04:04.000 Is there other evidence?

00:04:06.000 Have they been out in public less than they were before?

00:04:09.000 Well, both of them have.

00:04:10.000 He's been in training and then she just finished her European tour so then she was just taking a break and then this is supposed to be like their first public moment back tonight.

00:04:20.000 Yeah, so let's explain what this leaked document allegedly said.

00:04:25.000 We have an image 90.

00:04:26.000 Throw it up if you will, guys.

00:04:27.000 So here's what happened.

00:04:28.000 It went viral yesterday on social media.

00:04:30.000 There was allegedly a leaked contract from this company Fullscope.

00:04:34.000 It's a PR company that Travis uses.

00:04:39.000 It's basically outlining, like, there's going to be a breakup, here's going to be the talking points of how we're going to say, you know, the relationship ended.

00:04:47.000 Wait, what were the talking points?

00:04:48.000 It was very, very basic PR stuff, like respect and privacy for each other as a mutual decision.

00:04:53.000 They're going to focus on their careers.

00:04:55.000 But kind of believable.

00:04:55.000 Boring.

00:04:57.000 Okay, but here's the thing.

00:04:58.000 So I'm curious what you think, Daisy, because you're the only other Swifty on the panel, is that I think this is total fake news.

00:05:04.000 I do want it to be known that the PR company made a statement saying this is completely, like, fake.

00:05:10.000 Like, somebody made this, like, ChatGBT wrote this up.

00:05:14.000 It's, like, my first assignment of senior year type of paper.

00:05:18.000 It reads terribly.

00:05:19.000 Okay.

00:05:20.000 And they're like, we did not make this.

00:05:22.000 They just put our logo on it to, like, have a viral story.

00:05:24.000 Have you ever met a publicist?

00:05:26.000 Well, I'm looking at one.

00:05:30.000 Not the smartest people I've ever met.

00:05:31.000 I don't know how often Andrew's writing breakup statements.

00:05:35.000 This is the truth, it was me. 0.98

00:05:36.000 And I'm sorry, my idiocy's been exposed again. 0.97

00:05:39.000 I mean, really, your expertise, you would be the person to look at this and be like, this is real and now they're trying to cover it. 0.97

00:05:45.000 Have you read it?

00:05:46.000 No, I haven't read it.

00:05:47.000 Send me a link and I'll read it as we're talking here.

00:05:49.000 But I mean, you know, the respect our privacy.

00:05:52.000 It was a mutual decision.

00:05:53.000 We remain friends.

00:05:55.000 Like, you know, we support one another.

00:05:57.000 Our schedules made it difficult to keep the relationship.

00:06:00.000 I mean, essentially.

00:06:01.000 We're fixating on whether this is true.

00:06:03.000 And the more important question is, should it be true?

00:06:05.000 No, it shouldn't.

00:06:07.000 It should not.

00:06:07.000 Do you like the relationship?

00:06:09.000 I love the relationship.

00:06:10.000 I think this is, I think every conservative should love this relationship.

00:06:15.000 Mr. COVID shot?

00:06:17.000 Forget that.

00:06:18.000 Here's the thing.

00:06:19.000 I've said this before on this show.

00:06:20.000 Taylor Swift is a flaming lib.

00:06:23.000 This isn't new news.

00:06:24.000 So is Travis Kelce.

00:06:26.000 Right.

00:06:27.000 So the point is, out of all of the flaming liberal celebrities she could date, can't we all agree he's like, he would be the best, most acceptable one?

00:06:36.000 Everyone that she dated before this was like, not even American, first of all, just like very beta British boys. 0.76

00:06:43.000 Artists, creative, like Travis Kelce's like Compared to all the other ones more manly.

00:06:48.000 I think this is what partly fuels some of the let's call them conspiracy theories about the relationship is that it is kind of an outlier in her guy picking history.

00:07:01.000 Correct?

00:07:01.000 I also want to say that his PR team before when the relationship first happened they were interviewed somebody on his team was interviewed and they were like okay so we had planned for the entire year like different things that we were going to do to help promote his image.

00:07:16.000 Like, go on SNL, do all this.

00:07:17.000 And they said the only thing that wasn't planned, the thing that shocked us that we never saw coming was this relationship with Taylor.

00:07:23.000 So that was months and months, I mean a year ago at this point, that that interview came out.

00:07:27.000 I think that that's interesting to note.

00:07:29.000 And I also want to note that typical what you see in a PR relationship is you have one celebrity who is a lot lesser than, and then one celebrity that is huge that is needing to gain publicity.

00:07:43.000 Respectfully, in both of their fields, they're both superstars.

00:07:46.000 They're both at the top of their game.

00:07:48.000 But wasn't there that whole thing with all the women being like, Taylor Swift made Travis Kelce famous?

00:07:53.000 That was more like a joke.

00:07:54.000 That was just a meme.

00:07:55.000 But it was kind of true.

00:07:56.000 It is kind of true.

00:07:56.000 There was a whole TikTok trend.

00:07:57.000 He's famous.

00:07:57.000 He's way bigger though.

00:07:58.000 He's famous.

00:07:59.000 Yeah, he got way bigger.

00:08:01.000 Like, he would be, I would say, you could arguably say he's like a top two most famous NFL player at this point.

00:08:06.000 Yeah, basically Patrick Mahomes is Tom Brady.

00:08:11.000 Are we talking about current NFL players?

00:08:14.000 I don't know who would be bigger than him.

00:08:16.000 Mahomes.

00:08:18.000 Mahomes is partly famous because of his wife, which we could get into.

00:08:21.000 It all ties together.

00:08:23.000 Mahomes is objectively probably the generational quarterback of his class.

00:08:28.000 I would say Travis Kelce is a total stud.

00:08:31.000 I'm not a Travis Kelce hater, actually.

00:08:34.000 And I sort of agree with the fact that he's the least worst option I've seen Taylor Swift pick.

00:08:39.000 That being said, if it was an arranged relationship, you know, kudos to the PR guy.

00:08:47.000 If anything says this is a fake, it's actually, if this was an arranged relationship, they've actually executed it pretty amazingly and pretty flawlessly.

00:08:55.000 I don't actually believe that, I don't think.

00:08:57.000 But, I do think because it's such an outlier, it's one of the reasons it's all like, this feels very, and the fact they won the Super Bowl, are you kidding me?

00:09:05.000 And he didn't even ask her to marry him?

00:09:07.000 Like on the field afterwards?

00:09:08.000 Or like go to Disneyland, you know?

00:09:10.000 I also don't think his dad, Travis Kelsey's dad, Ed, is just like a typical boomer on Facebook and very unfiltered.

00:09:18.000 He was banned from X I saw at some point.

00:09:20.000 I think during 2020 he was banned from X. Oh, juicy.

00:09:20.000 Really?

00:09:23.000 Well, he was, you know, he, since they've been dating, he shares, shares news about them and talks about her and has given interviews.

00:09:30.000 And he's just like so smitten with her.

00:09:32.000 And it's just like, she's the sweetest girl, most down to earth, so polite, good manners, like just so sweet around the family.

00:09:38.000 I just don't see that guy as being somebody they could control if this is a PR relationship because he almost

00:09:44.000 shares too much Like you know, the his mom shares a lot and the brother

00:09:49.000 just got the big Podcasting they both they got over over a million dollars.

00:09:54.000 Yeah over a hundred million dollars Joe Rogan money That's what Joe Rogan on his first Spotify deal was a

00:09:58.000 hundred million dollar deal and Travis Kelsey I guess both of them just I didn't realize

00:10:03.000 But yeah, it's their podcast together.

00:10:05.000 But I think what's more interesting about that, and I didn't even plan to go into this, but Angelo and I talked about this a little bit last week, was with the Joe Rogan and the Alex Cooper, all of their podcast shows, it comes with their entire catalog of podcasts.

00:10:19.000 New Heights is a relatively new podcast.

00:10:21.000 They put out podcasts weekly.

00:10:22.000 That's their podcast, Jason and Travis.

00:10:24.000 They put out podcasts weekly during the football season.

00:10:26.000 They don't put them out weekly all year round, though, like especially during the offseason.

00:10:30.000 So they only had, I think, 70 or 80 episodes total in their catalog.

00:10:34.000 There's definitely going to be output production limits.

00:10:35.000 I mean, Joe Rogan has hundreds of episodes that they are buying when they give him that

00:10:39.000 $100-plus million contract.

00:10:41.000 They're giving them $100-plus million for everything that's going to happen in the future.

00:10:45.000 I mean, even for the possibility of like a Taylor sit-down interview on New Heights, that's worth millions of dollars to them.

00:10:51.000 Yeah, it's pretty remarkable, actually, what the brand of Taylor Swift can do, not only for herself, but for those around her, which will lead us into our next question topic.

00:11:04.000 I want to get into this Swifties for Trump thing because I think strategically, it's a very smart move.

00:11:12.000 Blake is making hand gestures over here.

00:11:16.000 I will just say, strategically, it makes a lot of sense.

00:11:18.000 All right?

00:11:19.000 So, before you turn off to the idea of Swifties for Trump, let's hear it out.

00:11:23.000 Alex knows a thing or two about it.

00:11:27.000 Today I want to talk to you about a very important issue.

00:12:54.000 Okay, so let's, Daisy, you wanna make a clarification on the way that Charlie talked about the Britney-

00:13:03.000 Is this a fact check?

00:13:04.000 This is a little bit of fact check.

00:13:06.000 So Brittany Mahomes, for the audience, just to catch everybody up again, liked a Donald Trump post, but we've been saying that she didn't back down, and you have a slight clarification on that.

00:13:18.000 So she did, and she didn't.

00:13:20.000 She liked the post, and then everyone was freaking out, and then she put that original thing on her story, Of like, if you're a hater as an adult, you have unresolved childhood trauma.

00:13:28.000 I don't know if you remember that one.

00:13:29.000 And then she unliked the post, and then she posted an Abercrombie-sponsored post for the NFL Collection.

00:13:39.000 And in the comments, which we have the picture of the liked comments, I don't know which one that it is.

00:13:48.000 52 was the liked comments and she liked Trump Vance 2024, glad to see her not backing down.

00:13:56.000 And then she had them up for about an hour or two.

00:14:00.000 I remember I texted Alex when I saw that she liked them and then she unliked them pretty

00:14:04.000 quickly after.

00:14:06.000 But what I think my guess as to what happened was Abercrombie is a pretty liberal company.

00:14:12.000 The Trevor Project.

00:14:12.000 Yes.

00:14:13.000 They said do this on another post.

00:14:14.000 One of their big, big sponsors and so I would guess that Abercrombie said do not like this on your sponsored post.

00:14:21.000 She probably has a quote of sponsored post she has to do for Abercrombie and they said this one will not count if you like these comments, etc, etc.

00:14:28.000 Yeah, the Trevor Project, which is like let's fund kids transitions or whatever, is like the main charity they ask you to donate to when you check out there.

00:14:28.000 That's really fair.

00:14:36.000 This is the corruption of American businesses.

00:14:38.000 She technically did double down after liking the original post, but both things she has since unliked.

00:14:44.000 But then Trump came out and said, you know, thank you, Brittany.

00:14:47.000 Very beautiful, Brittany.

00:14:48.000 Shocked me.

00:14:49.000 Really?

00:14:50.000 I felt my bunghole clench a little bit.

00:14:53.000 That's image 55, if you want to throw that up.

00:14:55.000 That was Trump's true social.

00:14:57.000 Says, I want to thank beautiful Brittany Mahomes for so strongly defending me and the fact that MAGA is the greatest and most powerful political movement in the history of our now failing country.

00:15:11.000 Anyways, it goes on and calls them a beautiful couple.

00:15:14.000 And then he'll see them at the Super Bowl.

00:15:16.000 And he'll see them, yeah, which is a prediction, by the way.

00:15:18.000 It is a prediction that I think they'll be in the Super Bowl and also that Trump will be the president attending the Super Bowl.

00:15:23.000 Correct.

00:15:24.000 That was that was another side note there.

00:15:27.000 He'll be the president elect.

00:15:28.000 So wait.

00:15:30.000 Yeah, he might be president.

00:15:32.000 So the so I do want to get past Taylor Swift here because there is more going on.

00:15:39.000 But the Swifties for Trump. 0.59

00:15:40.000 So so Alex, this is kind of this is I'm going to be looking at you here.

00:15:45.000 You are the one of the chief Swifties for Trump before there was even a Swifties for Trump kind of moniker.

00:15:51.000 True, ride or die, the one conservative.

00:15:53.000 It's the number one thing my audience hates about me.

00:15:55.000 It's the most controversial thing about me is that I love Taylor Swift.

00:15:58.000 You have a lot of controversial takes, like raw milk, circumcision, like a bunch of stuff.

00:16:02.000 It's every day.

00:16:03.000 Andrew's fielding, you know, press inquiries about some other controversial thing I've said about food.

00:16:09.000 Exactly.

00:16:10.000 What is Alex on now?

00:16:11.000 Anyway, so Swifties for Trump became like a thing somehow, and I actually love it strategically because I do think there is truth.

00:16:19.000 If I was to Do a cross-section of Taylor Swift's audience.

00:16:23.000 I mean, you guys are Swifties.

00:16:25.000 You're not voting for Kamala Harris.

00:16:27.000 I would say it's probably like 50-50, maybe 60-40 lib to conservative, maybe slightly more lib her audience.

00:16:35.000 Do you disagree with that take?

00:16:36.000 I feel like there's a lot of conservative women that listen to her music. 1.00

00:16:39.000 Oh, there's tons of conservative women that listen to her music. 1.00

00:16:41.000 She's the biggest artist in the entire world now.

00:16:45.000 And to the levels of Michael Jackson, Prince, Whitney Houston, Britney Spears, she will go down as, whether you like or not, her stardom, her superpower, her Influence is of the likes of those other artists the

00:16:58.000 Beatles She is in there also her tour now number one best-selling

00:17:02.000 tour of all time, and she's got a long track record That's the other thing right years and years multiple hit

00:17:06.000 number ones. I mean so she is a massive star So yes when you're talking about somebody that is that big

00:17:12.000 of a celebrity of course you're going to have fans of all different religions

00:17:14.000 political views she across all

00:17:18.000 Demographics every race every age group when you go to it when you won't go to the eras tour

00:17:23.000 You've got kids there as up to like grandpas are there.

00:17:27.000 So everyone loves Taylor Swift.

00:17:30.000 So of course there's bound to be conservatives.

00:17:31.000 And that might be because she is the most popular she's ever been.

00:17:34.000 Maybe her team came to her again and said, please, Let's not fumble the bag.

00:17:40.000 We're doing so well.

00:17:41.000 Everybody loves you.

00:17:42.000 If you come out and say something, then we're gonna all of a sudden again create all this division, you know, amongst fans.

00:17:48.000 Like, let's finish up the tour.

00:17:49.000 This is my question.

00:17:51.000 Is it kind of like that Michael Jordan moment, right?

00:17:54.000 Where Republicans buy sneakers too?

00:17:56.000 Like, is this enough pressure?

00:17:59.000 Or is she going to simply go, well they still love me and I did it once already and I feel a moral obligation to do it again?

00:18:07.000 Are you ready to lose weight, but not sure where to start?

00:18:09.000 I understand.

00:18:10.000 I was right where you are two years ago.

00:19:11.000 Call 864-644-1900.

00:19:12.000 I lost over 30 pounds.

00:19:14.000 Dr. Asher Lucas, great American.

00:19:16.000 MyPhDWeightLoss.com.

00:19:16.000 Check it out.

00:19:21.000 You are personally very nervous, Alex, about the fact that Trump put this on Truth Social thanking Brittany Mahomes.

00:19:27.000 Why are you nervous?

00:19:29.000 I am nervous because it was very mysterious, her liking those comments and unliking those comments.

00:19:36.000 She didn't publicly just post, I am endorsing President Trump, uh, you know, for President 2024.

00:19:42.000 So I'm nervous that he has, you know, he will have rattled her.

00:19:46.000 Yeah.

00:19:46.000 And for her to then be prompted, be like, Oh, that's not what happened.

00:19:49.000 I, you know, I don't endorse you.

00:19:51.000 I'm just scared.

00:19:51.000 It will scare.

00:19:52.000 I think it's really good that this happened yesterday, late yesterday.

00:19:55.000 And she hasn't said anything about it since she hasn't said, That's insane. 0.99

00:19:59.000 That's ridiculous. 0.98

00:19:59.000 That's not true. 0.98

00:20:00.000 I devour him.

00:20:01.000 So that's good news.

00:20:02.000 So maybe she is voting for Trump and we'll get some kind of photo op of Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Mahomes at a Trump rally before November.

00:20:12.000 That would be incredible.

00:20:13.000 That would be great.

00:20:15.000 That would be great.

00:20:17.000 I don't foresee it.

00:20:18.000 I don't foresee it either.

00:20:19.000 I also want to just point out, if Brittany Mahomes is truly voting for President Trump, and she's not going to come out and deny that she is, that shows incredible moral bravery and character on her part, because she is now very, very close friends with Taylor Swift, who may or may not say, I can't be seen, pictured, hanging out with Brittany anymore.

00:20:38.000 This is a PR nightmare for me because it looks like I condone her supporting Trump.

00:20:42.000 Like, she's risking a lot that she's gained in the last year with her friendship with Taylor by not denying it.

00:20:49.000 So I think that that's really admirable.

00:20:51.000 I think that we'll know more tonight, because we have pictures of them in the suites together at all the games.

00:20:58.000 They watch pretty much every game together.

00:21:00.000 Last year, so I think we will know more, which will tell us where Taylor's leaning.

00:21:05.000 I mean, I don't see her voting anything other than Democrat, but if she's going to speak out about the election.

00:21:12.000 But here's the other thing that I think it's like, oh, this just this all makes it so juicy.

00:21:16.000 It's the RFK Jr.

00:21:18.000 endorsement.

00:21:19.000 So let me explain to you.

00:21:20.000 Don't we have this video or something?

00:21:22.000 Taylor Swift, for those who don't know, way back in the day, dated Conor Kennedy, who is RFK Jr.'

00:21:29.000 's son.

00:21:30.000 She is very close with the Kennedy family.

00:21:32.000 She has written multiple songs about the Kennedy family.

00:21:34.000 She has read every book that exists on the Kennedy family.

00:21:38.000 She loves RFK, okay?

00:21:39.000 She knows that he is a good person, and so if this is somebody who's been a lifelong Democrat saying there's something deeply corrupt with this party, you need to be voting for Trump, and I'm endorsing Trump, Maybe Taylor seeing that, like, oh my gosh, is there maybe something that I've been duped on when it comes to staunchly supporting Democrats and hating Trump?

00:21:57.000 I'm just saying, even if she... That's not gonna happen.

00:22:00.000 Even if she... I'm not saying she's gonna endorse Trump.

00:22:03.000 She might stay silent.

00:22:04.000 She might stay silent and just not endorse anybody.

00:22:06.000 Or maybe she's saying, I'm not voting.

00:22:06.000 That's the win here.

00:22:07.000 That's the win here.

00:22:08.000 Does she stay silent?

00:22:10.000 And what if she just comes out and says, I'm voting for Trump, and if you're not a Trump supporter, you shouldn't be a Taylor Swift.

00:22:18.000 Here's the big question, okay?

00:22:20.000 We're gonna play 109.

00:22:22.000 Tell me about this video.

00:22:24.000 Alex, when was this video from?

00:22:25.000 This is her saying the Marsha Blackburn thing.

00:22:27.000 What is this? 2019?

00:22:30.000 Yeah, so this is from her Miss Americana documentary that's on Netflix of her explaining why she needed to start getting political on social media. 0.87

00:22:37.000 But I will say this does... I mean, what, Taylor Swift's 33, right?

00:22:41.000 Or 34?

00:22:42.000 So this would have been like five years ago.

00:22:44.000 So she was like 28 and she was just finding her voice.

00:22:47.000 She was like becoming like a grown woman kind of stage. 0.75

00:22:51.000 Like, I'm not trying to actually belittle that.

00:22:54.000 I'm just saying at 34, she might be past this sort of like...

00:22:58.000 She votes against the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act, which is just basically protecting us from domestic abuse and stalking.

00:22:58.000 Fair pay for women.

00:23:03.000 it in her bones, her core, that she needed to speak out on this.

00:23:25.000 It's really basic human rights, and it's right and wrong at this point.

00:23:29.000 And I can't see another commercial and see her disguising these policies behind the words, Tennessee Christian values. 0.99

00:23:40.000 Those aren't Tennessee Christian values.

00:23:43.000 I live in Tennessee.

00:23:44.000 I am Christian.

00:23:45.000 That's not what we stand for.

00:23:48.000 Well, she's not Christian anymore, correct? 0.99

00:23:49.000 Or just TBD?

00:23:51.000 I don't know why.

00:23:52.000 That was very shocking to me that she said that.

00:23:54.000 I mean, if anything, she's a nominal Christian.

00:23:56.000 She's Christian in name only, obviously.

00:23:58.000 But everything she just said in that clip is just completely false. 0.86

00:24:01.000 I get a kick out of, or look like a gay couple. 1.00

00:24:04.000 I'm picturing these straight bros who just look really gay. 0.95

00:24:08.000 They're sitting too close in a tight booth. 0.98

00:24:11.000 Martial Law.

00:24:11.000 Two bros, chillin' in a hot tub.

00:24:13.000 We're not gay! 0.85

00:24:15.000 Turns out it's just it's just white dudes for Kamala. 0.50

00:24:20.000 That video though is what makes me so curious as to where her mind is at right now because she has people around her that are now supporting Trump.

00:24:29.000 She doesn't have many people.

00:24:30.000 Well Patrick Mahomes I'm convinced is a winger.

00:24:32.000 He's like a closeted right winger.

00:24:34.000 I would not be surprised.

00:24:36.000 And, you know, Britney thinking the way she is. 0.96

00:24:38.000 Like, oftentimes that happens, like, the two move as one.

00:24:41.000 I mean, you will find couples where, I mean, they were high school sweethearts, so they picked each other before they were probably thinking.

00:24:47.000 I'm sure they're both voting for Trump.

00:24:49.000 I'm pretty sure they both are.

00:24:50.000 When a celebrity, like, is careful to not say anything these days, it usually she knows that it implies that either

00:24:58.000 a winger or they're like a weird Aaron Rodgers type who's gonna vote for

00:25:03.000 you know well this is kind of a... do a write-in for... yeah what we

00:25:07.000 were talking about during the break which is that

00:25:10.000 I like before the break the Michael Jordan thing like Republicans buy shoes too

00:25:14.000 And I think that, from a business perspective, and we all know Taylor's a huge businesswoman, huge capitalist, I mean, she has the whole Green Party against her for her private jet and her flying across the country multiple times. 0.94

00:25:28.000 And I think that her best-case scenario is to just say nothing.

00:25:31.000 That's our best-case scenario, too, is for her to just say nothing.

00:25:35.000 What if Kamala is... 1.00

00:25:37.000 I was just gonna say, if she does say something, I think it's because she genuinely believes so much in Kamala and the left-wing movement.

00:25:44.000 Yeah, that's what that clip tells me.

00:25:45.000 What if she's irate about the Kamala wealth tax or the unrealized gains tax?

00:25:51.000 Even Mark Cuban came out against that.

00:25:53.000 She's rich enough and that would be relevant to her.

00:25:55.000 So we're gonna go around the table and then we're gonna move on from T-Swift.

00:25:58.000 Is she going to endorse or not?

00:26:00.000 Yes or no?

00:26:01.000 Starting with Blake.

00:26:02.000 I'm just going to say she's going to endorse, I'm just going to be the optimist, she's going to endorse Trump and say you shouldn't be a fan of her music.

00:26:09.000 I think she will say nothing.

00:26:11.000 I hope she'll say nothing.

00:26:12.000 I'm leaning towards say nothing and that she'll use the excuse of my safety.

00:26:16.000 Everybody's too radicalized.

00:26:17.000 I've had terror threats now from ISIS.

00:26:20.000 I have to, sorry, I have to stay silent.

00:26:22.000 This was your big Twitter thread that went off where you were like, when she, the terrorist threat against her in Europe, you were like, hey, Trump killed ISIS and That would almost be stronger than a normal endorsement though. 0.66

00:26:33.000 She's like, basically, I would endorse Kamala except that Trump fans are so evil they would kill me if I did it.

00:26:39.000 She's stayed pretty silent on the Israel-Palestine stuff.

00:26:42.000 Yeah, she hasn't said anything.

00:26:43.000 Her fans have been pretty irate about that.

00:26:45.000 They've wanted her to say something.

00:26:46.000 Wow, interesting.

00:26:47.000 It's crazy the world she lives in where everybody's like begging you to say something.

00:26:50.000 I mean, we know that to some extent here at Turning Point.

00:26:53.000 I mean, we get calls all the time like, you gotta speak out about this, you gotta speak out.

00:26:56.000 And it's, you know, it's not always as clean or as clear-cut as people want it to be.

00:27:02.000 Okay, we are moving on, finally, from T-Swift and Travis Kelsey and the Chiefs and Brittany Mahomes and all that stuff.

00:27:09.000 We are, I think we're gonna go to, what do you want to do?

00:27:12.000 Mormon, the Mormon story?

00:27:13.000 There are two influencer stories.

00:27:15.000 I think we should start with the non-Mormon influencer story.

00:27:18.000 So, you've heard about this a little bit.

00:27:20.000 There's a girl, Brooke Schofield, Who is on a podcast called Cancelled with Tana Mongeau.

00:27:28.000 I don't know how you say her last name.

00:27:29.000 But Tana's been around for a long, long time.

00:27:31.000 She's one of the OG YouTube creators.

00:27:35.000 And she's been cancelled so many times.

00:27:38.000 Tana's been cancelled countless times that she named her podcast Cancelled for, like, some irony.

00:27:44.000 And then Brooke is one of her best friends.

00:27:46.000 Brooke became an influencer.

00:27:48.000 Brooke is actually from Arizona.

00:27:50.000 And Brooke was on the canceled podcast, they did it together, and then Brooke's racist tweets came out. 1.00

00:27:57.000 Racist as in actually racist or racist in quotes?

00:28:01.000 Racist to a liberal. 0.89

00:28:02.000 Okay, racist to a liberal.

00:28:03.000 Some of them are not racist. 0.94

00:28:06.000 Let's vote racist.

00:28:07.000 That's so funny that there's two categories.

00:28:10.000 Is it really racist or just racist to a liberal?

00:28:13.000 It's like the most clear way you could say it.

00:28:16.000 Okay, so here's the tweets.

00:28:17.000 We have to read them.

00:28:18.000 I will not be reading these out loud.

00:28:20.000 Oh, they're really that bad?

00:28:21.000 Are they that bad?

00:28:22.000 Are they really racist?

00:28:23.000 I don't want to.

00:28:24.000 What image are they?

00:28:25.000 I mean, there's some of them that are pretty... They had it up on screen a second ago.

00:28:28.000 There's some of them that are pretty non-offensive.

00:28:30.000 I said so many... Okay, I'll read this one.

00:28:32.000 What do you call a Mexican baptism?

00:28:34.000 Bean dip.

00:28:35.000 I mean, so it's like, edgy.

00:28:37.000 What year did she write that in?

00:28:39.000 That's like a middle school joke.

00:28:40.000 Yeah, 2010 and 2013, people were saying stuff like that.

00:28:40.000 2010 and 2013.

00:28:43.000 Which she was, I think, 18, 19, 20.

00:28:44.000 Oh, come on. 0.87

00:28:46.000 At the time.

00:28:46.000 That is straight up just, that's what kids do, and like, my first transgressive joke is like, yeah, you tell.

00:28:52.000 Totally. 0.96

00:28:53.000 She said the F word, as in, like, the gay slur. 0.99

00:28:56.000 Oh, the F-A-E word. 0.99

00:28:58.000 She said...

00:29:00.000 Like, why do I have the most ratchet hair ever?

00:29:03.000 Oh, guarantee if Zimmerman, you remember George Zimmerman?

00:29:06.000 This is the majority.

00:29:08.000 This is the tweet? 0.61

00:29:10.000 Guarantee if Zimmerman shot a white guy, this wouldn't even be a story.

00:29:13.000 Newsflash, this wasn't a crime of racism, it was self-defense.

00:29:17.000 So a lot of her comments are, donate to the Trayvon Martin Foundation, donate to the Trayvon Martin Foundation, we won't forgive you until you donate to the Trayvon Martin Foundation.

00:29:23.000 Obama's son.

00:29:27.000 The reason that this is really interesting to me is because this is very similar to the 2020 cancellations.

00:29:33.000 I mean, she instantly lost brand deals. 0.95

00:29:35.000 Tana came out with a podcast after that was like broken.

00:29:38.000 We have that clip too.

00:29:39.000 Well, how old was she? 0.99

00:29:40.000 She was 18, 19, 20 when she was tweeting these things.

00:29:44.000 Has she issued a public statement?

00:29:48.000 So she issued a lot of things.

00:29:50.000 She came out with a video and was just like rambling, I'm so sorry.

00:29:54.000 Oh, so she bent the knee.

00:29:55.000 Teary-eyed.

00:29:55.000 I'm so sorry.

00:29:57.000 And that's what really reminded me of the 2020 stuff, too, because it was very much a formulaic... Okay, yes.

00:30:02.000 So Stassi Schroeder was, like, the original, like, influencer or whatever that got canceled for racism in 2020.

00:30:09.000 It was during the BLM stuff.

00:30:10.000 It was her and another girl, right?

00:30:11.000 Yeah, it was another Vanderpump cast member.

00:30:14.000 Kristen Doty.

00:30:15.000 The only reason I know this is because Stassi ended up marrying one of my friends in L.A., when I lived in L.A., Beau, really good guy.

00:30:22.000 And Stassi?

00:30:23.000 I saw Stassi at church a couple times.

00:30:25.000 With Bo.

00:30:26.000 And so that was interesting.

00:30:28.000 And then all of a sudden she gets cancelled.

00:30:30.000 And I just thought... And it was like over... The allegation was that there was a story about a black suspect that had done something.

00:30:39.000 They thought it looked like their castmate from the show.

00:30:42.000 They reported it to the police.

00:30:44.000 And everybody said that was racist.

00:30:45.000 Because it was just like... You just thought... I don't know if they were saying it was bad because she was...

00:30:53.000 The implication is that she thinks all black people look the same, and that's where the racism comes in. 0.60

00:30:57.000 Or that they were just doing something mean to their black castmate or whatever.

00:31:00.000 This was during 2020, right?

00:31:01.000 This was during 2020.

00:31:02.000 So it's just interesting to see a story like this come back around full circle, and now we have influencers that are on uncancellable podcasts, apparently, get cancelled.

00:31:13.000 Yeah, so then Tana did a video where she was like, I'm clearly not with Not with Brooke.

00:31:19.000 I don't know where that video went.

00:31:23.000 It's fine.

00:31:23.000 But she was like, I'm clearly not with Brooke.

00:31:25.000 I wanted to sit down and say, as a white person, I can't understand what our other listeners are going through.

00:31:33.000 Well, they bent the knee.

00:31:35.000 That's the main gist of it.

00:33:33.000 Before we get into the Mormon story, which is very exciting, I'm fascinated by it.

00:33:39.000 Alex, tell us how people can find you, follow you, and what you're up to.

00:33:44.000 All right, so we are rebranding my podcast with Turning Point USA to be the number one health and wellness podcast in the conservative movement.

00:33:53.000 And we are rebranding on Monday, 9-9 at 9 a.m.

00:33:58.000 Pacific.

00:33:59.000 So be following me at Real Alex Clark on Instagram to find out the new name.

00:34:05.000 And that day we'll be announcing who my first guest is.

00:34:09.000 Actually, a lot of exciting announcements that people don't know coming out on Monday, 9am.

00:34:15.000 And for those who don't realize, our audience maybe doesn't always overlap with yours, but your podcast has grown a lot.

00:34:24.000 Well, actually, Charlie has been getting into a lot of the subject matter I cover.

00:34:28.000 So if you have liked Charlie's episodes recently, like the one with Callie Means, if that was an episode that you really liked or you enjoyed watching Callie on Tucker, I've interviewed Callie.

00:34:37.000 I interviewed Callie in May.

00:34:38.000 So those types of doctors, experts in health and wellness, really offering a countercultural look at food, pharma, And also just society, culture as we know it, you know, parenting, things like that.

00:34:50.000 Seed oils.

00:34:51.000 Yeah, everything countercultural with physical, emotional, or spiritual health, we cover on my show.

00:34:59.000 And it's a different expert guest every episode with a different subject.

00:35:03.000 Well, congratulations on all of your success, and I really mean that.

00:35:06.000 Thank you.

00:35:07.000 It's well earned, and hey, here's to the next chapter announced on Monday for Alex Clark, so be sure to check that out.

00:35:15.000 All right, so we've got, speaking of countercultural, this is not exactly what Mormons are known for, but there is a new reality show or something coming out?

00:35:23.000 Yes, so it comes out tomorrow, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.

00:35:29.000 I will be sitting with my popcorn watching this show.

00:35:32.000 I'm so interested because back in 2022 there was this group of mom talk influencers on TikTok.

00:35:38.000 They were all Mormon moms in Utah and basically the scandal came to light that this whole group of mom talk influencers were all swingers. 0.56

00:35:49.000 How did that come to light?

00:35:50.000 How did that come to light?

00:35:51.000 It came to light because one of them, Taylor Frankie Paul, got divorced and she said that

00:35:56.000 she was getting divorced because she stepped outside of the swinging boundaries that they 1.00

00:36:00.000 already had.

00:36:01.000 So they had...

00:36:02.000 So she got even more freaky.

00:36:03.000 Basically it was like these parties that they would have and then at the end of the night,

00:36:08.000 at the end of the party, all of the husbands and wives would start doing stuff with each

00:36:12.000 other, but it was all known.

00:36:15.000 So then she started doing stuff with another husband in the group that was not... her husband didn't know about it.

00:36:22.000 In wonderful American fashion, we thought, let's give them a show!

00:36:25.000 Yeah!

00:36:26.000 Let's spread the values far and wide!

00:36:28.000 It blew up, it all came to light, and then they've been working on this show ever since then.

00:36:33.000 And it's...

00:36:35.000 It's all the girls from that same group and it talks about how they were getting divorced, talks about their relationships with drinking or not being a part of the Mormon Church or like they're partying all this stuff so it's kind of I've seen a lot of people on TikTok that are really devout Mormons that have spoken out about this and been like this is not what we stand for this is not we want but it's kind of turned into like an expose in a way of this group of people that I think a lot of people are worried this is going to Like, come across like they're speaking for the Mormon culture.

00:37:05.000 Right.

00:37:06.000 Well, obviously these are outliers.

00:37:07.000 Well, it's very interesting just because there is a real nexus between Mormonism and influencer culture.

00:37:15.000 Oh, it's so true.

00:37:17.000 Mormon mommy blogs are an entire genre unto themselves.

00:37:21.000 Like, basically every popular Instagram blogger is Mormon.

00:37:24.000 Well, it's a facet of Mormonism that you should essentially, you know, project.

00:37:29.000 Like, you know, they have the missionary thing.

00:37:30.000 They do the missionary stuff abroad.

00:37:32.000 And so kind of the domestic version of that is you should like be public about your Mormon life.

00:37:37.000 And they're also entrepreneurial.

00:37:40.000 There's a dark underside to this, which is you have people who are kind of Like sociopathically, they're basically misrepresenting what they do because they're clearly not really following Mormonism.

00:37:50.000 It can tend to create a double, like a hidden life versus their public persona.

00:37:56.000 I think also what was different for them was, especially in that culture, a lot of the men are the breadwinners, the women are, and that's kind of why they started to become famous, was because they're all stay-at-home moms. 0.84

00:38:05.000 Mommy bloggers just started writing about their lives, posting about fashion, posting about hair stuff, and then they kind of blew up.

00:38:11.000 Amber Filler up, I think, was like the beginning.

00:38:13.000 of the mormon bloggers and that net then these women 0.79

00:38:17.000 started making ten times the amount of money their husbands are making and i 0.99

00:38:20.000 think that it really change their dynamic uh... where is this comes out

00:38:24.000 this week it comes out tomorrow on what channel who look secret lives of mormon

00:38:28.000 wives you're watching

00:38:30.000 Let me know.

00:38:31.000 I apologize for informing our audience about such a show.

00:38:36.000 Alex, Daisy, Blake, thank you for joining us on this re-upping of the Pop Culture Power Hour back by popular demand.
