00:01:40.000 Do it right now.
00:01:41.000 It'll help out Mike and help our country.
00:01:47.000 I didn't plan on spending time on Cortez, this show, but here we are.
00:01:54.000 So Alexandria Acasio-Cortez, she does these long Instagram live streams where she just goes on and on and on.
00:02:03.000 So she was recounting the Capitol tragedy on January the 6th.
00:02:11.000 And in this same live stream, I think she mentioned that as a younger person, she was sexually assaulted.
00:02:20.000 No minimization of that.
00:02:22.000 And not getting into that, I hope that she gets the support she needs and all of that.
00:02:27.000 I mean that non-sarcastically.
00:02:29.000 However, what I am going to focus on is when she was seemingly misrepresenting where she was and what she was doing during the Capitol tragedy.
00:02:42.000 For what reason, I'm not exactly sure.
00:02:44.000 So this is now one of the top stories in the country where AOC claims something, but the facts say otherwise.
00:02:52.000 Play tape.
00:02:54.000 And so I look through this door hinge and I see this white man in a black beanie bump, just like open the door of my personal office and come inside the personal office.
00:03:11.000 AOC, it was a police officer, right?
00:03:14.000 Okay.
00:03:15.000 So it was a police officer who happened to be a white person who was actually looking out for her by all public reports.
00:03:24.000 And so the controversy is brewing over why is AOC making stuff up in regards to where she was and what she was doing.
00:03:35.000 It was a Capitol police officer.
00:03:39.000 So AOC said, quote, I just thought to myself, they got inside.
00:03:46.000 I thought I was going to die.
00:03:48.000 This is a moment where I thought everything is over.
00:03:51.000 And so let's go to Cut 35 first, Cut 35.
00:03:56.000 Let's play that.
00:03:57.000 I don't know.
00:03:58.000 So deeply rattled.
00:03:59.000 still processing the end of my life when I come out and I come out and this man is a Capitol police officer.
00:04:12.000 There was no partner, was not yelling, you know, Capitol Police, et cetera, et cetera.
00:04:22.000 But then it didn't feel right because he was looking at me with a tremendous amount of anger and hostility.
00:04:35.000 So this was a Capitol police officer that was trying to help her.
00:04:41.000 And she immediately said that he was looking at me with a lot of anger and hostility.
00:04:45.000 Let's go to cut 36, where the story gets even more complicated.
00:04:50.000 Cut 36.
00:04:51.000 I talked to G, my legislative director, after the fact, and he said, no, I didn't know if he was there to help us or hurt us either.
00:05:00.000 And G was actually like, this man came with so much hostility that G was sizing him up and didn't know if he was going to have to fight him.
00:05:14.000 So like, you know, like so many other communities in this country, like just that presence doesn't necessarily give you a clear signal if you're safe or not.
00:05:24.000 I want to reinforce what she just said there.
00:05:26.000 That's a Capitol Hill police officer that was there to help you, AOC, and you had to size him up.
00:05:34.000 By the way, can we just say, AOC, just please, can you stop saying like every other word?
00:05:41.000 You're a 14-year-old, please.
00:05:43.000 Drives me nuts.
00:05:45.000 So she said he's white and he had aggression and hostility.
00:05:49.000 How do you know that?
00:05:51.000 How do you know the aggression?
00:05:53.000 What's your evidence?
00:05:54.000 Did he start overthrowing tables?
00:05:58.000 And so, AOC, I'm wondering, the Capitol Hill police officer who was brutally murdered, did you know whether or not that he was there to hurt you or not, AOC?
00:06:09.000 Who's the racist in this equation, AOC, where you're automatically assuming that a white police officer comes with aggression and hostility, and you said my legislative advisor had to size him up?
00:06:24.000 Is that what you do to police officers?
00:06:26.000 You size them up, AOC?
00:06:28.000 There's no evidence of Capitol Hill police acting nothing but heroically throughout that entire set of circumstances.
00:06:41.000 Size him up?
00:06:43.000 So where was AOC?
00:06:45.000 Was she in the Capitol office building?
00:06:48.000 No, she wasn't.
00:06:49.000 She was not in the Capitol building.
00:06:51.000 This is up from the National Pulse.
00:06:53.000 The rioters focused all of their attention on the Capitol Rotunda, as you can see in the middle.
00:06:58.000 AOC's office is in the Cannon office building, which is on the left side of your screen, which I believe is actually North if we were talking about Washington, D.C. geography.
00:07:11.000 And she was nearly a half a mile away.
00:07:17.000 No, that wouldn't be North.
00:07:18.000 That would be South, the map diagram I have backwards.
00:07:21.000 She's South.
00:07:22.000 I'm sorry.
00:07:23.000 The rioters never went into her building.
00:07:25.000 The rioters never came close to her building.
00:07:28.000 So here's just a good life lesson for all of you watching this right now.
00:07:32.000 You don't have to live stream a stream of consciousness about everything.
00:07:40.000 You don't.
00:07:42.000 And so AOC just set back the cause of trying to hold a lot of these Capitol infiltrators accountable because now AOC is All of a sudden, entering and introducing a narrative that is pathologically untrue.
00:08:00.000 She was not in the Capitol.
00:08:02.000 She wasn't.
00:08:03.000 She was in a different building.
00:08:05.000 Now, I understand that if AOC was saying in her live stream, well, I was afraid they might have come there next.
00:08:11.000 I was really spooked and we didn't know what to do.
00:08:13.000 That's fine.
00:08:14.000 When all of a sudden you say, I thought I was going to die, I heard a sound.
00:08:18.000 Where is she?
00:08:19.000 Where is she?
00:08:19.000 And end up being a Capitol police officer, and you describe him as a guy in a beanie, and your legislative director had to size him up.
00:08:26.000 That is so unbelievably deceiving.
00:08:30.000 In fact, it's intentionally deceiving, AOC.
00:08:35.000 But why is she doing this?
00:08:39.000 Are the facts of January 6th not enough for you?
00:08:42.000 Do you now have to go create another narrative that the police officers are actually prowling the halls?
00:08:48.000 Are you trying to all of a sudden add to some sort of a narrative that your encounter is now worthy of more examination?
00:09:04.000 I'm really confused what the motive of exaggeration is here.
00:09:09.000 So there are some people that have now taken to the great internet and are now calling Alexandre Casio Rotez Alexandria Ecasio Smolette.
00:09:26.000 In fact, the internet has taken over that.
00:09:29.000 I think that might be a little bit unfair, to be honest with you.
00:09:32.000 I think it's hilarious, but I think that's mildly unfair.
00:09:36.000 I mean, Smolette did concoct the entire thing.
00:09:41.000 I don't think we could argue Cortez launched what happened on January the 6th.
00:09:46.000 However, Cortez is just outdoing herself.
00:09:49.000 It would be a great time for Cortez just to stop talking about this.
00:09:54.000 She's actually ruining the Democrats' moral high ground here.
00:09:58.000 The Democrats had a moral high ground here, and she's ruining it.
00:10:01.000 She's messing it up.
00:10:02.000 If I was Jamie Raskin, and we're going to get to some news with him in just a second, some breaking news, I'd say, AOC, stop it.
00:10:11.000 So AOC says this: quote: The sad thing about disinformation is that once the truth comes out, the damage has already been done.
00:10:18.000 People have already been misled, radicalized, and believed lies to a point where their hatred has brewed to violence.
00:10:24.000 That's what led to the six, and it's happening now.
00:10:26.000 You mean when you were misleading your entire Instagram live audience that you were in the Capitol Rotunda, not giving the logistical architecture of the Capitol layout that you were nearly half a mile away?
00:10:41.000 And I'm not diminishing that that might not have been traumatizing or scary, but it's also very misleading when people do not understand that people are thinking that you're right outside the door of where this happened.
00:10:55.000 And you then walk through the process that a guy with a beanie came in, it was a police officer, and then you had your legislative director size him up.
00:11:03.000 What does that even mean?
00:11:04.000 Size him up?
00:11:05.000 Is that legal?
00:11:06.000 Are you allowed to size up a police officer?
00:11:09.000 You know, he was there to help you, AOC.
00:11:12.000 And instead of saying thank you, he had rage and hostility.
00:11:15.000 Well, maybe next time, let's defund the Capitol Hill Police together, AOC, and you could have your legislative aide defend against everyone and size up all the terrorists.
00:11:23.000 How about that next time?
00:11:25.000 In the entire live stream I saw from AOC, I did not hear one thank you.
00:11:31.000 Maybe there was one and I missed it.
00:11:33.000 I watched plenty of the clip.
00:11:37.000 Why does this matter so much?
00:11:39.000 Well, we're trying to impeach a private citizen over the details of this case.
00:11:43.000 So AOC is trying to go to her people, her millions and millions of followers, and say, it really was an awful day, which it was, and it was so awful, I almost died.
00:11:52.000 I thought I was going to die.
00:11:54.000 The New York Post says, quote, AOC blasted for exaggerating trauma from the Capitol riot experience.
00:12:05.000 So I'm not going to get into the idea of whether or not she was traumatized.
00:12:10.000 I think someone could be traumatized whether they're in the Capitol or not.
00:12:14.000 But she said that she had a, quote, very close encounter.
00:12:17.000 That is not true.
00:12:20.000 She said, I'd had to reconcile with whether or not I was going to live.
00:12:26.000 The officer AOC said, quote, had anger and hostility in his eyes.
00:12:32.000 And so now the House Democrats are calling people to testify in Congress to go give their testimony.
00:12:44.000 My truth is what it should be called.
00:12:47.000 Members to share their stories of capital attack on House floor.
00:12:51.000 AOC will kick off the special order hour.
00:12:53.000 Do the Democrats just enjoy rubbing this stuff in our face?
00:12:57.000 I'm convinced of it.
00:12:58.000 I'm convinced the Democrats' new strategy is every time we start to criticize one of their people, like Eric Swalwell with Fang Fang, the Chinese agent, they just put it front and center right in front of us.
00:13:08.000 It's like, here's Fang Fang and Swalwell right up in your face.
00:13:13.000 So AOC is going to start this storytelling session with other members of Congress.
00:13:22.000 And that in and of itself, I'm not going to say is good or bad, but I hope AOC actually tells the truth from the Senate, from the congressional floor.
00:13:33.000 Not that she was very close encounter.
00:13:40.000 Maybe just a thank you to law enforcement would be wonderful.
00:13:42.000 In fact, I'm going to have our team watch very closely the remarks of Ayanna Presley and Rashida Tlaib.
00:13:50.000 Why?
00:13:51.000 I wonder if they're going to say, thank you, police.
00:13:54.000 The very same people that have been pushing to defund the police in our country.
00:13:59.000 The police saved your life, arguably.
00:14:03.000 We don't know the motivations.
00:14:04.000 We don't know what would happen without police.
00:14:05.000 It's hard to say that.
00:14:08.000 But if we're going to take a logical narrative that the police saved your life, why do you want to get rid of the police, Ayanna Presley?
00:14:13.000 So I want to get to some sound here.
00:14:16.000 I want to talk about schools.
00:14:17.000 What is going on with our school?
00:14:18.000 Why is every school in the country not open?
00:14:22.000 What is the answer for that outside of greedy, self-interested public sector teacher unions?
00:14:27.000 Play Cut 69 with Dan Heninger, please.
00:14:30.000 The data on enrollments has been coming out recently.
00:14:33.000 It's quite striking.
00:14:34.000 In the state of California, public school enrollments are down 155,000.
00:14:40.000 They're down 45,000 in New York City, a record.
00:14:45.000 And these parents are looking for alternatives.
00:14:48.000 They're putting their kids in private schools, parochial Catholic schools, homeschooling.
00:14:53.000 They're also looking at alternatives like so-called learning pods or micro schools.
00:14:58.000 The positive of that is that I encourage every parent who can to homeschool your children any way you possibly can.
00:15:07.000 However, the issue is that most parents can't afford that.
00:15:12.000 They have to send their kids to public school.
00:15:15.000 So you want to talk about growing wealth inequality over the next 10 years?
00:15:18.000 You want to talk about growing income inequality?
00:15:20.000 Keep the schools in awful shape.
00:15:22.000 So the rich parents will send their kids to still get educated.
00:15:29.000 And the working-class parents who can't take their kids out of school, who can't take their kids and put them into private school or can't put them into homeschooling situation, what will they do with them?
00:15:41.000 They're going to keep them in.
00:15:43.000 Over 10 years, you are going to see the trend lines In such dramatic fashion, schools should be wide open in our country.
00:15:55.000 The education of our children has been on almost a 12-month delay.
00:16:02.000 Suicides are up, alcoholism, drug addiction.
00:16:05.000 We have been on this for nearly a year.
00:16:09.000 In fact, a year ago, just about a year ago, coming up on this Sunday, I've got to double-check the dates.
00:16:18.000 I think actually it might have been a couple weeks later.
00:16:22.000 Anyway, is when I first heard about the Chinese coronavirus and my book came out, The MAGA Doctrine, made the New York Times bestseller list, which we were very happy about.
00:16:31.000 And it's a week I'll never forget.
00:16:33.000 In fact, I could write an extended essay about my book launch.
00:16:36.000 I could write a book about it because it was very interesting.
00:16:41.000 I was doing the book thing and doing a ton of media.
00:16:47.000 I mean, you do dozens of radio interviews in a day.
00:16:50.000 You do every television program you possibly can.
00:16:53.000 You do podcasting, everything you can imagine you could do.
00:16:55.000 And we had producer Andrew there.
00:16:57.000 We had a great team.
00:16:58.000 We had a lot of fun.
00:17:00.000 But it was really interesting because kind of this thing that was looming over us as the book was being launched was the chatter around the coronavirus, the Chinese coronavirus.
00:17:11.000 And I remember being at an event that we did in Phoenix, Arizona.
00:17:16.000 You remember this, Connor, when you picked me up at the airport?
00:17:18.000 We went to that one place in Scottsdale.
00:17:21.000 And we walked in and there was hand sanitizer everywhere.
00:17:26.000 I said, what are you doing?
00:17:28.000 Why does everyone have hand?
00:17:30.000 And that was the first moment when I started to see the virus impact human behavior.
00:17:37.000 And never for a moment did I sit down and think, how do I extrapolate this out?
00:17:43.000 Like, where does this go?
00:17:46.000 Because I was dealing from a place of a logical fallacy, quite honestly.
00:17:55.000 And I learned a lot about how I can now better game out my thinking to prevent chaos from happening in the future.
00:18:07.000 So I was using a logical fallacy of, well, there's no way we're going to shut down the country.
00:18:12.000 This thing will go away in a minute.
00:18:15.000 When I didn't actually play it out, I said, well, what if this is something that's never happened before?
00:18:20.000 So we were crisscrossing the country going back and forth.
00:18:23.000 And I remember we were at Mar-a-Lago in early March.
00:18:27.000 So yeah, it wasn't exactly about 11 months ago.
00:18:30.000 And this was basically the last night before all chaos broke loose.
00:18:37.000 Let's just put it that way.
00:18:39.000 Right?
00:18:41.000 And the Brazilian president Bolsoniero was there.
00:18:46.000 It was no social distancing.
00:18:49.000 And that was the last moment of Real America.
00:18:51.000 Producer Andrew was there.
00:18:53.000 But was so interesting to see, though, is how in the midst of all of that, we went from total open society to complete safetyism and not even bearing the costs of, hey, if we do the safetyism thing, are our children going to be properly educated?
00:19:16.000 Just so everyone is clear, we are now closing in on the one-year mark of 15 days to slow the spread.
00:19:25.000 Connor put in our message here, he said that was the first event when I saw people doing elbow bumps instead of handshakes.
00:19:34.000 And today is day 324 of 15 days to slow the spread.
00:19:40.000 San Francisco schools are still completely closed.
00:19:42.000 Chicago schools are still closed, largely Because of Chicago teacher unions, almost only because of them, one of the most corrupt institutions in the entire country.
00:19:56.000 And I read from a Wall Street Journal piece: quote: In Chicago, the nation's third-largest system is on the brink of a strike, despite press pleas from the city's progressive mayor, Laurie Lightfoot, for the teachers to return.
00:20:08.000 Unions are resisting opening in Los Angeles, Boston, Cleveland, Philadelphia, and Washington.
00:20:12.000 Michael Mulgrew, head of the teacher unions in New York City, says the schools may not open until September.
00:20:18.000 Then why are they still being paid?
00:20:19.000 San Francisco Board of Education has enough time on its hands to vote six to one to cancel the names of the schools, but not enough time to open the schools that now have the names that are canceled.
00:20:31.000 When asked why Chicago teachers would be threatening to strike now, President Biden's chief of staff, Ron Klain, peacetime kleptocrat, said money.
00:20:44.000 Well, at least Mr. Klain, according to here, has an A-plus for honesty.
00:20:52.000 One might wish to believe politicians such as Lightfoot and New York City's Bill de Blasio are begging the teachers to return out of concern for their children.
00:21:00.000 Here's a reality check.
00:21:01.000 This is from the Wall Street Journal.
00:21:03.000 Funding levels for public schools in many cities are a function of enrollment levels.
00:21:07.000 By pulling their kids out of these schools, parents are removing the automatic funding floor.
00:21:15.000 There is no reason why schools should still be closed.
00:21:18.000 Zero.
00:21:21.000 The future of our children has been put in permanent jeopardy out of the selfishness of the safetyist ruling class.
00:21:32.000 I want to get to a cut here.
00:21:35.000 Play Cut 63.
00:21:37.000 There is increasing data to suggest that schools can safely reopen, and that that safe reopening does not suggest that teachers need to be vaccinated.
00:21:48.000 Vaccination of teachers is not a prerequisite for safe reopening of schools.
00:21:53.000 So that is not anywhere close to what the Chicago teacher unions or the other schools are saying at all.
00:22:00.000 Do we have Cut 75 as well?
00:22:01.000 Let's play Cut 75.
00:22:03.000 There's no indication that the teachers union in Chicago or San Francisco are willing to budge at this point.
00:22:09.000 If it comes down to a binary choice, who would the president choose, the kids or the teachers?
00:22:14.000 I think that's a little bit unfair how you pose that question.
00:22:17.000 No, it's not unfair.
00:22:18.000 It's that simple.
00:22:19.000 Children are being held hostage by selfish public sector teacher unions.
00:22:23.000 It's that simple.
00:22:25.000 Do you guys know what the rubber room is?
00:22:29.000 The rubber room is a physical building where teachers who have been accused of crimes, where teachers that have been accused of not showing up to work, that they are not allowed to be fired because of public sector teacher unions, because of contracts that were put forward, because of tenure.
00:22:48.000 Public sector teacher unions, which, by the way, is the American Federation of Teachers and the National Education Association, are one of the largest reasons.
00:22:59.000 It is the predominant reason why we have not been able to get any sort of educational reform on a national level done in our country, which, by the way, goes back to a thesis that we talked at length yesterday, which is, as Justice Louis Brandeis said, states need to be laboratories of democracy.
00:23:16.000 You want to know where kids are suffering the most?
00:23:19.000 Democrat states.
00:23:20.000 Florida schools are wide open.
00:23:22.000 Florida has school choice.
00:23:23.000 They have educational scholarships.
00:23:25.000 In Florida, they're doing wonderfully.
00:23:29.000 And every single Democrat policy is at war with human nature.
00:23:33.000 Here's one law of nature: children need to be educated.
00:23:37.000 How do we go about doing that?
00:23:40.000 Behind some sort of computer screen?
00:23:42.000 Of course not.
00:23:42.000 It's insincere and it's inhumane.
00:23:45.000 It leads to failing results, radical ideologies being spread, and even a more inhumane, inhuman agenda that gets pushed forward.
00:23:57.000 Let's play Cut 76.
00:24:00.000 Well, I saw the comments of Dr. Walensky, but I will say that even she would say, if she were standing here, she's welcome to come anytime, but she's in Atlanta, that they have not released their official guidance yet from the CDC on the vaccination of teachers and what would be needed to ensure the safe reopening of schools.
00:24:19.000 And so we'd certainly defer to that, which we hope to see soon.
00:24:25.000 And so the White House press secretary seems to be contradicting the CDC director.
00:24:35.000 Incredible.
00:24:38.000 Schools need to be open.
00:24:40.000 Open schools now.
00:24:44.000 Democrats are owned by the teacher unions.
00:24:47.000 They are the largest Democrat donors.
00:24:51.000 The fact that schools are not open is a moral travesty.
00:24:54.000 Okay, let's get to some questions here.
00:24:57.000 Hey, Charlie, I'm a student at a local community college in California.
00:25:00.000 I'm currently taking a philosophy class.
00:25:02.000 Oh, boy.
00:25:04.000 I have a classmate who thinks we should add more justices at the Supreme Court.
00:25:07.000 What would happen if we did?
00:25:12.000 I already answered this question before.
00:25:14.000 Actually, and it's Faith, it's the ratio thing.
00:25:17.000 It's to say that the population has increased and we need to increase.
00:25:21.000 If that was really an applicable argument, then we'd have five presidents by now if we need more leaders versus our population.
00:25:29.000 So thank you, Faith.
00:25:30.000 I appreciate that.
00:25:31.000 But I did answer that in a previous episode.
00:25:34.000 Okay, let's go to here.
00:25:35.000 All right.
00:25:36.000 So this is a question I keep on getting.
00:25:39.000 Okay.
00:25:41.000 Hey, Charlie, thanks so much for your hard work and your team for doing to get the truth out and keep people informed and engaged.
00:25:45.000 Y'all are doing a fantastic job.
00:25:47.000 Thank you.
00:25:47.000 My concern since the November election is in election integrity.
00:25:50.000 I live in Atlanta, Georgia, and I know I don't need to tell you what a dumpster fire that was and is currently.
00:25:55.000 You're right.
00:25:56.000 I've heard you say we need to advocate in our cities for better election policies.
00:25:59.000 I could not agree more.
00:25:59.000 My question is: how does one do that?
00:26:01.000 I want to be proactive, but I have no idea where to start.
00:26:03.000 Do you know any information that could be helpful?
00:26:05.000 I also want to be committed.
00:26:07.000 I also want to commend you for your faith in speaking boldly about how our nation was founded on Judeo-Christian values.
00:26:11.000 It was.
00:26:12.000 And hopefully, we'll continue to be built on that.
00:26:15.000 Brandy, thank you for your question.
00:26:16.000 Yes, fine state and local officials demand stricter signature verification standards in Georgia and audits of the voter rolls and the people on the voter rolls.
00:26:26.000 And basically, just keep on repeating: we need the Florida model in Georgia.
00:26:30.000 It's that simple.
00:26:32.000 The technical details can be worked out.
00:26:34.000 The Florida model in Georgia.
00:26:36.000 It's that simple.
00:26:37.000 You want fair and free elections?
00:26:39.000 Put the Florida model in Georgia.
00:26:42.000 Okay, next question here.
00:26:44.000 I actually want to get to one of the questions earlier that got sent here.
00:26:53.000 Some people are asking about our Illinois segment.
00:27:01.000 You can find that on YouTube, and we'll also put the supporting documents on charliekirk.com.
00:27:08.000 Dear Charlie, I'm a supporter of the Charlie Kirk Show.
00:27:10.000 I am subscribed to your podcast, and I listen daily to your programs.
00:27:13.000 This morning, I arrived late to your program on Salem Media.
00:27:16.000 You stated you reject the comments made by Marjorie Taylor Greene.
00:27:19.000 Maybe you already discussed, I missed it, but which comments do you reject?
00:27:22.000 The stuff around Sandy Hook would probably be a good place to start.
00:27:26.000 And also the embracing of the complete and total fake, baseless conspiracy theory of the message boards.
00:27:33.000 And also her denying 9-11 would also be another one.
00:27:37.000 So, again, I'm not going to hyper-focus on that, but I'm also not going to defend what somebody said just because they have an R next to their name.
00:27:45.000 And with that being said, do I think she should be expelled from Congress?
00:27:48.000 No.
00:27:48.000 Do I think that she should be given grace to apologize and add context?
00:27:52.000 Of course.
00:27:53.000 That's what adults do.
00:27:55.000 And she was given that opportunity yesterday, and I'm proud to be able to do that.
00:27:59.000 But thank you, Kathy, for that question.
00:28:01.000 And so appreciate that.
00:28:02.000 Email us freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:28:05.000 Okay, let's get this one here.
00:28:10.000 Hey, Charlie, kudos to you for identifying and speaking out on this critical issue of campaign finance and election reform.
00:28:15.000 I was shocked to hear last fall from our local party rep, the Republican Party demands and collects from new representatives and senators as soon as they arrive in Washington, let alone how much they demand for committee assignments and position of leadership.
00:28:25.000 No wonder they are beholden to special interests.
00:28:27.000 You're right.
00:28:28.000 Also, foreign funds are supposedly banning campaigns, but out-of-state funds freely flow into various states and influence state elections.
00:28:33.000 Well, foreign money also comes in through corporations.
00:28:36.000 Different issue for a different time.
00:28:37.000 The election campaign process itself needs reform too, eliminating the mass mail and media ad campaigns, which waste money and provide little to no useful information.
00:28:45.000 I agree.
00:28:46.000 Candidate forms and debates are much more helpful.
00:28:49.000 It goes on to say, currently, Tennessee only requires 25 signatures for state rep, state senate, governor, U.S. House, or Senate candidates.
00:28:56.000 And she's just proposing some reforms.
00:28:58.000 Well, Nancy, you're spot on here.
00:29:00.000 If we are going to fix some of the problems plaguing our country, we have to fix campaign finance and election reform.
00:29:05.000 It is one of the biggest problems currently facing our country.
00:29:08.000 From who funds our elections?
00:29:10.000 The transparency behind it.
00:29:11.000 Are you beholden to it?
00:29:12.000 Should someone who is currently lobbying for contracts from the government be able to also send contributions to representatives that have a say in that sort of process?
00:29:23.000 The answer is, of course not.
00:29:25.000 Email us your questions, everybody, freedom at charliekirk.com.
