00:01:21.000 Email us, as always, freedom at charliekirk.com and subscribe to our podcast.
00:01:24.000 We have Josh McCoon, who is the chairman of the Georgia Republican Party, the must-win state of Georgia.
00:01:29.000 We only fell 11,000 ballots short back in 2020.
00:01:32.000 It is going to be a trench fight, and we should win.
00:01:36.000 If we do our job.
00:01:37.000 Josh McHugh is with us.
00:01:38.000 Josh, thank you for joining the program.
00:01:40.000 Josh, tell us about the exciting and the good news of President Trump and Brian Kemp burying the hatchet, forming an alliance, which I'm thrilled to see.
00:01:50.000 I'm not the world's biggest Brian Kemp fan, but I want everyone on the team together, rowing in the same direction.
00:01:56.000 Josh, tell us about it.
00:01:57.000 Thank you for having me, Charlie.
00:01:58.000 Very exciting yesterday.
00:02:00.000 To me, the most important development in American politics yesterday.
00:02:05.000 Governor Kemp going on with Sean Hannity, giving a full-throated endorsement of President Trump, making the case powerfully Why we must have President Trump elected on November 5th here in Georgia and throughout the country.
00:02:20.000 And then, of course, President Trump responding in kind, almost in real time, thanking Governor Kemp for his strong stand last night.
00:02:30.000 So, this narrative that's been peddled for a while that we're not all on the same team, we're not all on the same page, it's obvious.
00:02:38.000 Everyone understands how critically important it is that we win the state of Georgia.
00:02:42.000 And it is very exciting indeed to see Governor Kemp full bore supporting President Trump.
00:02:49.000 What does this mean for President Trump's chances now?
00:02:52.000 If you were to say if this didn't happen versus happening, if you put a number on it, that would be really helpful.
00:02:59.000 But what does this mean as far as the statistic probability and odds of President Trump now carrying Georgia?
00:03:04.000 Well, I think one useful metric to look at is the 2022 election differential between Herschel Walker and Raphael Warnock and Brian Kemp and Stacey Abrams.
00:03:15.000 It's about a four, four and a half point differential there.
00:03:19.000 There were clearly people that split their tickets in that election.
00:03:22.000 And so for those voters, having Governor Kemp visibly supporting President Trump is really important.
00:03:29.000 The other thing here in Georgia, we have a state law that allows the governor to maintain an independent expenditure operation that's very well financed.
00:03:39.000 They're doing a lot of paid door knocking and swing legislative districts around the state.
00:03:43.000 And so having that operation work with us at the Georgia Republican Party, a lot of the other groups here that are on the ground, Turning Point, obviously, Greater Georgia, that's a huge value add.
00:03:55.000 So in a state where the margins could be closed, that is a really, really big feather in our cap to have going forward in these final 74 days.
00:04:05.000 Without a doubt.
00:04:06.000 So remind our audience how mail-in voting has proliferated in Georgia.
00:04:11.000 What percentage of all ballots are cast by mail?
00:04:14.000 And are we as Republicans better equipped and better prepared to engage in a robust get-out-the-vote early voting strategy?
00:04:26.000 So yes, we absolutely are.
00:04:28.000 Here in Georgia in 2020, over 1.3 million ballots were returned by absentee paper ballot.
00:04:37.000 In 2022, we saw that decline pretty significantly.
00:04:40.000 The legislature made some changes to the law around absentee ballots.
00:04:43.000 It was closer to a quarter of a million, 300,000.
00:04:46.000 300,000. We're certainly expecting that number to be high higher than 2022, but
00:04:52.000 probably lower than 2020, but we're very well prepared. We've been talking for a
00:04:57.000 year now about making a plan to vote either voting by absentee by mail or
00:05:02.000 voting early. We're encouraging people to take advantage of that. Obviously people
00:05:07.000 want to vote on Election Day, that's fine, but we do not want to have no strategy
00:05:12.000 or no game when it comes to that absentee and early voting process.
00:05:17.000 I've compared it to coaching a football team and saying you're not going to play offense in the first three quarters of the game and trying to win the game in the final 15 minutes.
00:05:25.000 We're not going to do that this time.
00:05:27.000 We are working very, very hard with a lot of different partners to make sure that we have a strong absentee ballot chase program and that we have a lot of folks going early in person during that three week period that starts October 15th.
00:05:41.000 So Josh, I love that, by the way.
00:05:43.000 Thank you.
00:05:44.000 And just a little bit of that kind of juice.
00:05:46.000 In 2020, did any of that infrastructure, any of that muscle exist?
00:05:51.000 Or is this a newfound development in the last couple of years since you've become party chair and you're doing a terrific job?
00:05:58.000 The efforts we're undertaking in this cycle are unprecedented.
00:06:02.000 There's really nothing to compare them with in prior cycles.
00:06:05.000 And to be fair, in 2020, A lot of changes were made without the legislature's approval.
00:06:10.000 The drop boxes, a lot of other things that were not anticipated due to COVID and emergency actions being taken by the then State Elections Board that kind of put us on the back foot.
00:06:21.000 But we are wide open, working hard, and I think we're prepared to do what we need to do to win.
00:06:28.000 So let's also remind the audience of the voter registration numbers, the raw data.
00:06:36.000 Are there more registered Republicans than Democrats in the state of Georgia?
00:06:40.000 And if so, what are the numbers show?
00:06:43.000 So we don't have Party registration in our state, so it's a little bit hard to calculate.
00:06:50.000 I will say that in the new mover data we get from the RNC, we just got the last batch we're going to get for the final quarter.
00:06:58.000 We were very pleased to see those numbers.
00:07:01.000 If you look at the primary election, we outvoted Democrats by a significant number, and importantly, We outvoted Democrats during the early voting period, which is something that has not happened in the past.
00:07:14.000 So we feel like that was a good trial run for our strategy and that we're well prepared to run up the score in November.
00:07:21.000 So let's talk about the different parts of Georgia.
00:07:26.000 What are the hot spots, if you will?
00:07:28.000 Fulton, Gwinnett, what counties, what areas, Augusta?
00:07:33.000 Kind of give our audience an education of the geography of Georgia, where we really need to kind of be emphasizing and focusing our attention.
00:07:42.000 So it's obviously a couple of different things.
00:07:45.000 Number one, counties that you may think of as Democratic strongholds in Georgia, these core urban counties like Fulton and DeKalb, Muscogee in the western part of the state, Chatham, Savannah, these are all places where it's very important for us to turn out because there are huge numbers of Republicans in those counties.
00:08:05.000 We're also doing a lot with election integrity in those areas.
00:08:09.000 The second sort of band of counties that are really important are these Republican strongholds, places that we did not perform as well as we needed to in the U.S.
00:08:18.000 Senate runoff in 2021.
00:08:20.000 That's northwestern Georgia, the 9th Congressional District, the 14th Congressional District, Rome and Dalton, some other ex-urban Atlanta counties like Bartow County, Cherokee County.
00:08:31.000 Those are really critical.
00:08:32.000 And then the third sort of bucket of counties where we want to over perform are the over 100 Rural counties in Georgia.
00:08:41.000 If we just get an extra one and a half percent turnout in those counties alone and did nothing else, we would win and win with a margin.
00:08:48.000 So those are our three areas of focus.
00:08:51.000 Making sure we turn out strong in the urban, make sure we bring those hesitant voters back in the ex-urban Republican strongholds, and then making sure we improve on our performance in those rural counties.
00:09:03.000 What positive news can you share with the audience as far as progress in the right direction of election integrity?
00:09:10.000 Have things improved since 2020?
00:09:14.000 Absolutely.
00:09:15.000 Just this year, we had three great election integrity bills passed by our legislature, signed into law by Governor Kemp.
00:09:22.000 And then in May, we switched, finally, to an election integrity-minded majority on our state elections board.
00:09:30.000 And they've been doing a lot since May to adopt rules that are going to make this election a fair election, one we can have confidence in.
00:09:38.000 And of course, that's all we want, because I believe if we have a level playing field, we're going to win this thing.
00:09:44.000 So important the state of Georgia.
00:09:46.000 If you win again, I'm very into the state of Arizona.
00:09:50.000 So I don't want to undersell our efforts here.
00:09:52.000 But if you just win Pennsylvania and Georgia and North Carolina and we're going to win North Carolina, but if you in Pennsylvania and Georgia.
00:09:59.000 Donald J. Trump is the 47th President of the United States.
00:10:01.000 So what Josh McHugh is doing, he could deliver the Republic.
00:10:04.000 And so all of you guys should be applauding him at home.
00:10:07.000 He's doing a great job.
00:10:08.000 We're trying to help with what we can on the ground.
00:10:10.000 Georgia is not a primary emphasis or focus of ours, but we're trying our best.
00:10:14.000 It's definitely on the list.
00:10:15.000 Stay right there, Josh McHugh.
00:10:19.000 Are you ready to lose weight, but not sure where to start?
00:10:21.000 I was right where you are two years ago.
00:10:21.000 I understand.

00:10:42.000 There's no shortcuts, pills, or injections, just solid science-based nutrition and behavior change.
00:10:46.000 And finally, and probably most importantly, I lost 30 pounds.

00:11:08.000 Dr. Asher Lucas has her PhD in chronic disease and sports nutrition.
00:11:12.000 Her program is based on years of research and is science-based.
00:11:15.000 Second, the PhD program starts in nutrition, but it's so much more.

00:11:22.000 Call 864-644-1900.
00:11:24.000 I lost over 30 pounds.
00:11:26.000 Dr. Asher Lucas, great American.
00:11:27.000 Check it out.
00:11:28.000 MyPhDWeightLoss.com.
00:11:31.000 Josh McCoon continues with us.
00:11:33.000 He is the chairman of the Georgia Republican Party.
00:11:36.000 So Josh, talk about how everybody could play a role.
00:11:40.000 We have a huge audience, for example, right now in South Carolina, right on the border of Georgia.
00:11:47.000 And I get emails from people, from Anderson, From Greenville, from Aiken, from right on the border.
00:11:53.000 And they say, ah, South Carolina's red.
00:11:55.000 What can I do?
00:11:56.000 What can they do?
00:11:57.000 For example, if they are in Clearwater, South Carolina, which is just right across the border from South Carolina to Georgia.
00:12:04.000 If they came to Georgia, how could you put them to work? 1.00
00:12:06.000 And talk about the Augusta region.
00:12:09.000 That Augusta region, Joe Biden overperformed it in 2020.
00:12:12.000 If we win that county, if I'm not mistaken, that could offset almost the entire state.
00:12:17.000 Continue to educate us on Georgia, please.
00:12:20.000 Absolutely.
00:12:20.000 So the Augusta area, you have Richmond County, which is more akin to, if you think about Fulton, a county that tends to perform for the Democrats.
00:12:29.000 And then you have Columbia County, which is one of our strongest performing Republican counties in the state.
00:12:34.000 So, a strong turnout in Columbia and narrowing that margin in Richmond, you're correct, it definitely would be worth 11-12,000 votes.
00:12:42.000 In terms of South Carolina, I'm pleased to tell you that I've been in touch with their leadership there.
00:12:48.000 South Carolina Republican Party Chairman Drew McKissick, we're working on some plans for joint deployments.
00:12:53.000 But you can make phone calls, obviously.
00:12:55.000 That's something that we'd love to have help with.
00:12:58.000 Also, in Georgia, there is no residency requirement to be a poll watcher.
00:13:03.000 And we are still booking poll watcher shifts.
00:13:06.000 So if there are people in South Carolina that would like to come to Columbia, Richmond, some of the other counties in the 12th Congressional District right along the border, we'd love to have them.
00:13:15.000 So there are plenty of opportunities, whether you come in physically or things you can do remotely to help us.
00:13:21.000 And we're working on those things very closely with the South Carolina GOP, but would love to hear from anybody if they want to reach out to us directly as well.
00:13:28.000 Yeah, and if you live in Alabama, if you live in Chattanooga, come right across the border and come get engaged, come get involved.
00:13:35.000 So I'm doing a couple visits to Georgia, Josh.
00:13:37.000 I'm going to be visiting the college campuses.
00:13:39.000 I'm going to be going to Athens.
00:13:40.000 I'm going to be going to Georgia State University.
00:13:44.000 Did the murder of Lake and Riley, do you think that will improve our chances in the Athens area in particular, which is typically a Democrat stronghold in a college town?
00:13:53.000 So there are a couple of things happening in Athens-Clarke County.
00:13:56.000 You definitely have the Lake and Raleigh case, which obviously has seized national attention, not just here in Georgia.
00:14:03.000 But we also have one of the worst district attorneys in the entire state of Georgia, Soros-funded.
00:14:08.000 DA named Debra Gonzalez, who's facing an independent candidate there. 0.99
00:14:13.000 So there are a couple of things there that I think could really help us improve on our performance that we've had in previous cycles in Athens-Clarke County.
00:14:21.000 And frankly, again, in a lot of these places, it's about making sure those low propensity voters, I know you've talked about this over and over again, we've got a lot of Republicans that we just need to make sure turn out and show up.
00:14:33.000 So that's what we're really focused on.
00:14:36.000 Now you have to request an AB ballot in Georgia, is that right?
00:14:39.000 That's correct.
00:14:39.000 You have to send in an application, then your local elections office will send you the ballot, you fill it out, and then you can either mail it in or, as we're encouraging a lot of people to do, to just physically hand-carry it into your elections office.
00:14:54.000 I don't know about Arizona, we've had a few issues with the mail out here in Georgia and the Atlanta area.
00:14:59.000 We've had a couple issues.
00:15:00.000 I will say it's a little bit harder because in Arizona we basically have universal mail-in balloting.
00:15:04.000 Like 72% of all people get ballots.
00:15:07.000 Georgia, that is certainly not the case.
00:15:09.000 So, can you repeat the website, about 30 seconds remaining, Josh, of how people can get involved if they live in Chattanooga, if they live in Birmingham, if they're in Tuscaloosa, and they're like, look, I live in a red state.
00:15:20.000 Or even if, hey, if you're in Jacksonville.
00:15:22.000 Here's the thing.
00:15:23.000 Georgia is surrounded by red states, everybody.
00:15:25.000 We got a red state surrounding.
00:15:28.000 Every single state that borders Georgia is now a red state.
00:15:31.000 So we now need every red state to deploy thousands and thousands and thousands of people.
00:15:36.000 Josh, how can people do it?
00:15:37.000 Please repeat the website.
00:15:38.000 G-A-G-O-P dot org. 1.00
00:15:40.000 G-A-G-O-P dot org. 1.00
00:15:42.000 And if you want to reach out to me personally, Josh, J-O-S-H at G-A-G-O-P dot org. 0.60
00:15:48.000 It's great.
00:15:49.000 We turn Georgia.
00:15:50.000 We save the world.
00:15:51.000 It's that simple.
00:15:52.000 We win Pennsylvania.
00:15:53.000 We win Georgia.
00:15:54.000 Josh, great work.
00:15:54.000 Thanks so much.
00:15:55.000 Thank you for having me, Charlie.

00:17:11.000 Joining us now is Josh Hammer, very smart man, with an article at Newsweek.com.
00:17:15.000 He is a Newsweek contributor, does a great job.
00:17:18.000 Also the Josh Hammer Show as well.
00:17:20.000 Josh, welcome to the program.
00:17:21.000 Tell us about your piece, No One Is Buying It.
00:17:24.000 Yeah, Charlie, great to join you as always.
00:17:26.000 So look, I mean, watching the Democratic National Convention this week, which, you know, first of all, let me just say, I mean, it's kind of old hat.
00:17:34.000 It's trite to call the current manifestation of the Democratic Party socialist or woke, whatever.
00:17:39.000 I mean, Charlie, I think you'd probably agree that what we saw this week in Chicago is outright demonic and satanic.
00:17:45.000 I mean, the Planned Parenthood van, the on-demand abortions.
00:17:49.000 You know, come for an ice cream sundae, stay for an abortion. 1.00
00:17:53.000 You know, come for a slice of pizza, stay for your vasectomy. 0.99
00:17:56.000 We'll snip your vas deferens while you're at it. 0.99
00:17:58.000 I mean, this is satanic stuff. 0.66
00:18:00.000 But if there was one leitmotif, if there was one theme over the course of this convention, and it definitely was not substantive.
00:18:06.000 You know, they didn't touch on any of the actual issues.
00:18:08.000 Some people were saying that Kamala Harris Touched on substance last night because she vaguely alluded to getting you affordable housing. 0.99
00:18:14.000 That's not a policy.
00:18:16.000 That's just a vague reference hiding as a policy.
00:18:18.000 But if there was one thing throughout the week, it's this idea that they're unified.
00:18:24.000 That it's like a grand kumbaya up there.
00:18:26.000 That we're all just one happy family.
00:18:29.000 And the point of my column, no one is buying this, is just that.
00:18:32.000 That no one who has more than two brain cells operating between the ears is actually buying this.
00:18:38.000 You know, Joe Biden gets up there Monday evening, says he's not angry at the coup plotters.
00:18:43.000 He's not angry at Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Hakeem Jeffries.
00:18:47.000 Are you kidding me?
00:18:48.000 Are you kidding me?
00:18:49.000 I mean, for basically that entire month from the CNN debate until the July 21st coup, Joe Biden and his team were defying him that he was not going anywhere.
00:18:58.000 He skipped town, he jetted to California right after his speech so that he wouldn't be there for Barack and Michelle on Tuesday.
00:19:05.000 Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, they were in Milwaukee when Barack and Michelle spoke.
00:19:09.000 Apparently, so says Jackie Heinrich of Fox News, apparently they were there and this is what common sense would indicate as well, they were there because she didn't want to offend her putative boss Joe Biden by being in the same room as Barack and Michelle Obama.
00:19:23.000 So this notion that they're unified, I mean, as recently as two and a half months ago, before the June 27th debate, early in June, early this year, they were all saying on the left, they were trying to encourage Joe Biden to ditch Kamala Harris because she was viewed as a weight, as an
00:19:40.000 As an albatross around the neck here because she's catastrophically unpopular. 1.00
00:19:44.000 The woman is about as likable, as I say, as venereal disease. 1.00
00:19:48.000 And now they're saying that she's the grand savior, that this party is unified around here.
00:19:52.000 Barack Obama does the whole yes-she-can shtick trying to get back that 2008 magic. 0.62
00:19:59.000 I'm sorry, but I don't think anyone's buying it, Charlie.
00:20:01.000 They're trying to give off this image of a unified party.
00:20:04.000 I don't buy it for a second.
00:20:06.000 So I think you're exactly right, and they unify based on just hatred of Trump and pure party loyalty.
00:20:16.000 So Josh, help me understand, and I did a whole first hour on this, they were lying about their radicalism, they were lying about how left-wing they actually are.
00:20:26.000 But from the stage, they had to masquerade as if they were more conservative than they, not just a little bit disturbed,
00:20:33.000 but like more mainstream than they really are because they know at the base of the Democrat Party,
00:20:38.000 their ideas do not resonate with most Americans.
00:20:41.000 Can you talk about the masquerading, the deception that was on full display?
00:20:48.000 Yeah, totally.
00:20:49.000 I mean, let's just take one issue.
00:20:50.000 So, I mean, if there's one substantive issue right now that I think divides the current Democratic Party probably like none other, it's probably the war in the Middle East and the Gaza, Hamas stuff, Israel, all that.
00:21:02.000 So, let's take a look at that.
00:21:04.000 So, on Monday night, Joe Biden does the whole both-sides thing, right?
00:21:08.000 He says the protesters outside have a point.
00:21:11.000 Too many innocents have been killed on both sides.
00:21:13.000 Okay, too many innocents have been killed, actually, on both sides, but that's not really talking about who's responsible for the killing when Hamas is firing their rockets from within mosques, within schools.
00:21:22.000 Charlie, you know all this, obviously.
00:21:23.000 But then, later on in the week, after that less-than-stellar start, shall we say, You had the parents of Hirsch Goldberg-Polen, the American hostage.
00:21:31.000 The parents were on stage.
00:21:33.000 And everyone on social media, on TV, was making a huge deal out of the fact that the parents got a big standing ovation, they had a rounding applause, you know, bring them home.
00:21:43.000 Well, first of all, I mean, I watched it.
00:21:45.000 That was not really the same round of applause that the hostage family who spoke at the RNC got.
00:21:51.000 But even holding that aside here, the more important point is, What is the purpose of this bring them home rhetoric unless you have the policies to match it? 0.96
00:22:01.000 At the same time that the DNC delegates were clapping like a bunch of idiot seals, chanting bring them home, which obviously is a message I support. 0.95
00:22:08.000 I don't want the listeners here to get the wrong impression. 0.98
00:22:11.000 But at the same time that they were chanting that, Joe Biden and his addle-brained Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, were making the rounds from Cairo, Egypt to Doha, Qatar, trying to do the exact opposite.
00:22:22.000 They were trying to put pressure on Israel, whereas if you actually want to bring the 0.99
00:22:26.000 hostages home, the only way we actually had a massive hostage swap over the entire course
00:22:31.000 of this terrible war, it was last November, December, it was a massive swap, that came
00:22:36.000 by putting pressure on Hamas.
00:22:38.000 So you actually wanted to bring them home, if you actually want to do that, you have
00:22:42.000 to put pressure on the people holding the innocents captive.
00:22:45.000 You put pressure on Sinwar in Hamas.
00:22:47.000 You put pressure on the Ayatollah in Iran.
00:22:49.000 I mean, this is just common sense, obviously, but these platitudes, this rhetoric, none of it means anything when their policies indicate the exact opposite.
00:22:57.000 And, you know, there's so many issues on that front.
00:22:59.000 They're talking about securing the border.
00:23:01.000 Obviously, we've had the border completely overrun, the worst illegal alien invasion in the nation's history. 0.96
00:23:06.000 It's not even close.
00:23:07.000 I mean, Kamala says that she's going to She's going to secure that border. 0.88
00:23:10.000 You know, let's ask the families whose children have been killed by teenage illegal aliens whether or not Kamala Harris is going to secure that border.
00:23:18.000 She's talking about affordable housing.
00:23:20.000 Let's talk about the fact that inflation reached 9.1% on a CPI annualized basis during this presidency back in 2022, a 40-year high.
00:23:29.000 I mean, they're saying some of the right things, not all, but some of the right things there, but it's totally meaningless when what they're actually doing belies their leftist radicalism.
00:23:40.000 That's exactly right.
00:23:41.000 And so on the Israel-Gaza thing, moving forward, do you think that she just managed to tick off both sides by what she said?
00:23:49.000 And as someone who is resolutely pro-Israel, can you kind of go through, if someone is, let's just say, Jewish voters in Pennsylvania, do you think they're more or less likely to support Kamala Harris after that speech?
00:24:01.000 You know, unfortunately, Charlie, they probably are more likely because, look, I mean, there was a lot of tension, I think, from a, I'm obviously not a Democrat, but I think a lot of Jewish Democrats were tense all week watching this convention, especially after Joe Biden did the whole both sides thing.
00:24:15.000 You have these thousands of pro-Hamas protesters outside with the kafiyas. 0.59
00:24:20.000 There was actually even a Taliban flag in there. 0.98
00:24:22.000 I mean, these are truly radical scumbags that the Democrats have attracted in the street thug wing of their party. 0.95
00:24:28.000 So Kamala Harris gets up there, And she also does the both sides thing. 1.00
00:24:32.000 I mean, she says the most platitudinous thing imaginable.
00:24:35.000 You know, she says that Israel has a right to defend itself.
00:24:37.000 You know, Charlie, I'm working on a book manuscript right now.
00:24:41.000 It'll be out, God willing, March 2025, called Israel and Civilization, The Fate of the Jewish Nation, The Destiny of the West. 0.87
00:24:47.000 And I actually talk about this exact talking point.
00:24:50.000 I hate it when politicians of both parties, frankly, but Democrats do it more often, get up there and just say that Israel has a right to exist and defend itself.
00:24:58.000 How utterly demeaning and belittling.
00:25:00.000 I mean, would we ever say that about, like, Mexico or Peru or Germany or Japan?
00:25:05.000 Would anyone ever say Japan has a right to defend itself or Poland has a right to exist? 0.88
00:25:09.000 I mean, what does that even mean?
00:25:11.000 I mean, it means absolutely nothing.
00:25:13.000 So, you know, a bunch of, you know, of potty-trained, house-trained Jewish Democrats are probably clapping along like the same seals I just alluded to when they hear this. 0.95
00:25:21.000 And then 10 seconds later Kamala says, on the other hand, on the other hand, what's happened and blah blah blah is inexcusable, which obviously way too many people have died, but you're totally ignoring the question as to who was at fault here.
00:25:33.000 So to answer your question directly, yes, I actually do fear There probably are a lot of center-left Jewish Democrats, center-left maybe Christians who care about this issue, who probably were falsely and incorrectly assuaged by Kamala Harris's speech last night, but they shouldn't be.
00:25:51.000 They definitely should not be.
00:25:53.000 And the fact that the Democrats have attracted this street thug movement outside of the arena, the fact that people were waiting with bated breath all week to see whether these so-called uncommitted delegates, the Hamasniks from Dearborn, Michigan and Little Mogadishu in Minneapolis, that we were all waiting with bated breath to see whether these miscreants would try to shout them down with genocide joke. 0.73
00:26:15.000 I mean, the fact that we were waiting to see whether that would manifest itself, I think says all you need to know.
00:26:20.000 So Josh, in closing here, based on what you learned from the DNC, what would you say is, what should President Trump's takeaway be and advice you would give President Trump and his campaign coming out of the DNC?
00:26:32.000 So this week, Charlie, I think what Democrats tried to do is they tried to paint Kamala Harris as a blank slate, as a blank slate onto which you can just project all of your innermost hopes and your desires and what you wish when it comes to the economy and Kumbaya and John Lennon's Imagine song and all this stuff here.
00:26:50.000 The problem with depicting Kamala Harris as a blank slate is that she's not a blank slate.
00:26:56.000 She was the single most left-wing member of the United States Senate based on the voting track record for at least one or two years of her fairly terse Senate tenure.
00:27:05.000 I mean, this is a body that includes people like Liz Warren and Bernie Sanders.
00:27:09.000 I mean, this is someone who has compared ICE agents to the Ku Klux Klan, who supported a full ban on fracking, who supports Medicare for All.
00:27:16.000 I could go on and on here, but her track record is obscene. 1.00
00:27:20.000 This is someone who, during the Christine Blasey Ford-Brett Kavanaugh showdown back in September 2018, she was probably the single leading civilizational jihadist throwing out 5,000 years of innocent or proven guilty due process norms trying to impugn and derail the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh.
00:27:36.000 This is a radical, radical left-winger.
00:27:38.000 And my unsolicited advice to the Trump campaign would be that you have to make sure
00:27:43.000 that the voters understand that, that she is not a blank slate.
00:27:46.000 She is not just about joy and vibes and all of this other platitudinous garbage
00:27:51.000 that they were throwing out at the convention this week.
00:27:53.000 This is a radical woman whose father, if I recall, was an actual Marxist economics professor.
00:27:59.000 Thanks so much.
00:27:59.000 You bet.
00:27:59.000 but he identified as a Marxist on the Stanford Economics faculty.
00:28:02.000 This is a woman who was trained in Bay Area California radicalism and to this day
00:28:07.000 is a far-left radical who would fundamentally transform America,
00:28:10.000 the likes of which Barack Obama could never even have imagined.
00:28:13.000 Josh Hammer, check out the Josh Hammer show and Newsweek.com.
00:28:17.000 Thanks so much.
00:28:18.000 You bet. Thank you, Charlie.

00:29:26.000 Joining us now is Brian Glenn.
00:29:28.000 Brian does an amazing job campaign correspondent for Real America's Voice.
00:29:32.000 Hosts Saving America with Brian Glenn.
00:29:34.000 Brian, you are at the RFK event.
00:29:35.000 What are you hearing?
00:29:35.000 What are you seeing?
00:29:36.000 Is RFK going to endorse Donald Trump today?
00:29:39.000 Well, that seems to be the buzz in the room, Charlie, as we've got a lot of media, as you would expect, attending this event, and we've got some invite-only, some volunteers that will be sitting down behind me.
00:29:50.000 But that is the buzz that he will be withdrawing himself from the 2024 presidential race, and in fact, endorsing President Trump.
00:29:57.000 Now, I will say this, Charlie, I talked to one campaign volunteer about an hour ago, and he said he doesn't even know what is expected to happen today.
00:30:07.000 Uh, whether or not that is, you know, unanimous around the campaign or not, but a lot of speculation and I kind of, I'm going with what President Trump pushed out on social media earlier today about this, you know, upcoming special guest at the event in Glendale and having this silhouette of what would look like an RFK Jr., but hey, we're gonna find out here in a few minutes as he is set to take the stage and address this crowd.
00:30:34.000 So, from supporters you've talked to in the room, or friendly media, are they excited about this prospect?
00:30:41.000 Are they disappointed?
00:30:42.000 Are they kind of neutral?
00:30:43.000 Tell us more about it.
00:30:44.000 I would say, Charlie, they're kind of neutral.
00:30:47.000 And I'll be honest with you, when I walked into this area, I had a couple people say, wow, it's kind of weird to see you here at this event, very synonymous with covering Trump events.
00:30:58.000 I will say this is the first non-political event outside of President Trump I have ever covered.
00:31:04.000 So I think it's somewhat neutral.
00:31:07.000 They don't really know what to expect.
00:31:09.000 And will this endorsement on President Trump really pull that percentage across the finish
00:31:17.000 line that President Trump would need at the end of the day?
00:31:19.000 So does those voters, will that be the difference in this election, Charlie?
00:31:24.000 As we know, it will come down, as it always does, to a very small amount of voters.
00:31:30.000 So could that small amount of voters be, in fact, the people that were going to vote for
00:31:35.000 Robert Kennedy Jr.?
00:31:37.000 Will they now be Trump supporters and make that difference?
00:31:39.000 We'll find out.
00:31:41.000 So yeah, any thoughts on timing here, Brian?
00:31:44.000 He should be coming on any minute here, seeing him.
00:31:46.000 And then, of course, we have our event all happening in Arizona.
00:31:49.000 Seems a little bit too much serendipity, potentially.
00:31:53.000 Yeah it does actually.
00:31:55.000 I know the timing here is set for not about 30 minutes from now.
00:32:00.000 Now I know they're going to have a few speakers before he comes out.
00:32:03.000 It should not take that long from what I've also been told.
00:32:06.000 It will be kind of a brief messaging event and then we are going to transition over to Glendale to your event and to the big event tonight.
00:32:15.000 I know we have on the ground coverage there with all the Trump supporters outside.
00:32:18.000 Uh, the arena and all the interviews inside of the great speakers, all the great production that you expect from your organization, which is the best.
00:32:26.000 And, uh, but hey, I'm really looking forward to see what this event looks like.
00:32:30.000 It is, it is, it is different though, Charlie, to come to this type of event, uh, and kind of see the other side of the curtain, if you will, uh, from the political aisle.
00:32:40.000 But, uh, it should be, uh, very interesting and historic, uh, here in just a few.
00:32:47.000 You know, Brian, a minute remaining.
00:32:49.000 You spend a lot of time at the rank and file of the MAGA movement.
00:32:51.000 Would you say the rank and file of the MAGA movement have a generally favorable view of RFK?
00:32:56.000 That's a great question.
00:32:58.000 My initial thoughts yesterday is that they did not care.
00:33:02.000 That's my initial response.
00:33:05.000 But I think at the end of the day, we know how every vote is important.
00:33:10.000 And if they feel like this will pull those voters into his camp and give him the lead and give him the edge in the election, Then I think they're very much concerned if they feel like, like I'm with you, I think that this thing is neck and neck and we need every vote that counts and if it needs to come from this camp, then let's welcome these people under the MAGA umbrella and let's get this America First agenda done.
00:33:32.000 But I think it's probably 50-50 for the most part.
00:33:35.000 I don't think they view him as an enemy of any sorts, but I think they're so into the Trump camp that they don't look anywhere else.
00:33:43.000 I think tonight, if it ends up happening, RFK will get a hero's welcome.
00:33:47.000 We'll see what happens.
00:33:48.000 Brian, thank you so much.
00:33:50.000 Yeah, yeah.
00:33:52.000 Thank you.
00:33:53.000 See you shortly.
00:33:54.000 Okay, we have to head over to Glendale.
00:33:56.000 Hour 3 coming up here.
00:33:57.000 Recap from Kamala's speech last evening.
00:34:00.000 President Trump and RFK.
00:34:02.000 Will they be together?
00:34:03.000 We don't know!
00:34:04.000 That is the question.
00:34:06.000 Thanks so much for listening, everybody.
00:34:07.000 Email us, as always, freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:34:09.000 Thanks so much for listening, and God bless.
