00:01:43.000 How do you make a lie seem like the truth?
00:01:47.000 What is necessary for a totalitarian regime to exist?
00:01:52.000 Well, when you study totalitarianism, it's very clear that it's not just tanks in the streets or mass surveillance, but instead it's the totalitarian control of the mind.
00:02:05.000 There were five authors in the late 1940s and 1950s that were pioneers on the topic of totalitarianism.
00:02:12.000 C.S. Lewis, of course, with the screw tape letters, and lesser known for this category, but better known in general, Mere Christianity, which actually started as radio broadcasts during the Blitz of London.
00:02:27.000 Aldous Huxley, who wrote Brave New World, probably one of the most important books that anyone can read to understand the sexual anarchy that we are living through today.
00:02:35.000 And why do totalitarians and dictators need to decay sexual norms to be able to have monopolistic control over a civilization?
00:02:46.000 George Orwell would be the third.
00:02:48.000 Of course, 1984, Animal Farm.
00:02:51.000 We talk often here about 1984, about how one of my favorite lines of 1984 is when Orwell says the best way to keep a secret from the government is you must first keep the secret from yourself.
00:03:04.000 The fourth is a lesser-known author that we really should talk more about, Arthur Kessler, who wrote a book called Darkness at Noon, all about the Soviet show trials and how people who are completely innocent were killed in a public display.
00:03:18.000 And the fifth author, of course, was Winston Churchill, author of over 50 books and talked a lot about totalitarianism.
00:03:24.000 Churchill in particular was very worried about how technology, unrestrained from human virtue, could not just result in tyranny, but would automatically result in tyranny.
00:03:35.000 Churchill argued that technology was more than a tool.
00:03:38.000 He witnessed this in the Darvish region where he saw very courageous people going into the battlefield and just being mowed down by machine guns.
00:03:47.000 And he realized that war has changed and technology can bring up the worst in people.
00:03:53.000 So, those five authors all agreed that in order to have a despotic government, in order to control the individual, it's not just about controlling the movements or what they can purchase, but it really is a control of the thoughts.
00:04:08.000 It really is about the control of how do people view themselves, what is right, what is wrong, what's happening in the world.
00:04:16.000 You cannot have a totalitarian government without some sort of strategy, hopefully successful for the totalitarian, hopefully unsuccessful for the freedom lover, implemented to control the thoughts of a nation.
00:04:32.000 The best example of this, of course, would be under the Soviet Union.
00:04:35.000 The Soviet Union, of course, had pravda, which literally means organ.
00:04:39.000 It means the kind of distribution network.
00:04:42.000 Pravda is also a word for truth in Russian, which, of course, is great irony.
00:04:48.000 Pravda was a broadcast sheet.
00:04:50.000 It was a newspaper.
00:04:51.000 It was formerly the official newspaper of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union.
00:04:55.000 We use that word pravda often.
00:04:57.000 It was the official state-sponsored news outlet.
00:05:00.000 The jokes of Pravda would, of course, be that there would be a massive famine and Pravda would say, bountiful harvest for all in Russia.
00:05:09.000 They would challenge reality with an iron fist to try to put forward their totalitarian vision for the people.
00:05:17.000 Pravda, in its heyday, reached millions of people.
00:05:22.000 In fact, at its top, it reached well over 11 million people in Russia, especially in the key districts around Moscow and St. Petersburg.
00:05:31.000 Pravda still exists.
00:05:33.000 It's still run by a small part of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, not taken very seriously.
00:05:40.000 You can actually visit the website pravda.ru.
00:05:44.000 It's privately owned, and the international editors, it's published across the world.
00:05:47.000 It's a joke, and no one really takes it seriously.
00:05:49.000 They have Russian television now, and they still have some of the kind of infrastructure that used to exist.
00:05:54.000 But the Soviet Union was powerful domestically for many reasons, but one of them was their ability to be able to communicate and propagandize their domestic population to say, do not believe your lying eyes.
00:06:11.000 Now, in order for this regime, the Biden regime, to have complete control of the citizenry, they need to engage in the same type of warfare.
00:06:23.000 They need to get into the Pravda business.
00:06:26.000 And they have.
00:06:27.000 Now, of course, they control CNN and they control Hollywood and they control the biggest media outlets in the country.
00:06:33.000 But I'm going to tell you about a story that we've known about, we've talked about a little bit, but we're going to dive deeper into it here, about how the Biden regime is modernizing the Pravda-esque outreach, the organ, the quote-unquote truth for a technological era.
00:06:52.000 Now, many of you listening right now on radio or watching on rumble.com or listening to us on a podcast, you probably aren't active users on the new place where America's future gets their values, gets their political identity, and finds out who they are.
00:07:09.000 No, it's not the church.
00:07:11.000 It's not even the Oscars.
00:07:13.000 It's not Netflix.
00:07:14.000 It's TikTok.
00:07:16.000 TikTok is an awful application.
00:07:18.000 It should be completely banned in America.
00:07:19.000 I've been very clear about that.
00:07:20.000 TikTok ruins the soul.
00:07:23.000 I hate TikTok.
00:07:24.000 It's awful.
00:07:25.000 We've been saying that for years.
00:07:27.000 There is no redeemable value of TikTok, period whatsoever.
00:07:31.000 It's a Chinese military operation.
00:07:33.000 But we at Turning Point USA engage on it because that's where kids are reluctantly, begrudgingly.
00:07:39.000 I refuse to get it even near me.
00:07:40.000 If it's even within a hundred-mile radius, I start trembling.
00:07:45.000 I just have to excommunicate the TikTok usage around me.
00:07:48.000 I think it brings out the worst in people.
00:07:51.000 However, it's popular, has over 138 million active users in the United States.
00:07:57.000 Most TikTok users are young people by the ages of 10 to 19.
00:08:02.000 Why parents allow their kids to use TikTok?
00:08:05.000 I don't understand.
00:08:05.000 You might as well just allow them to use addictive drugs because TikTok is just as harmful as drug use can be for young children.
00:08:13.000 Studies are showing social media addiction, social identity issues, all these sorts of things.
00:08:17.000 29% of people that use TikTok are ages 20 to 29.
00:08:21.000 60% of people that use TikTok are the ages of 16 to 24.
00:08:25.000 So this is the sweet spot.
00:08:28.000 So what if I told you that the White House, the Biden regime, has a full-time team that does nothing but brings in these TikTok influencers, trains them on what to say, and then they parrot it back basically through the organ, if you will, of state regime media.
00:08:49.000 White House advocacy TikTok campaign was actually a Democrat front the entire time.
00:08:54.000 Gen Z for Change, a 501c4 nonprofit, enlisted communications consultant and two-time Democrat presidential campaign staffer Madeline Twame and its senior advisor and founding board member according to the organization's website.
00:09:07.000 A coalition of left-wing TikTok users claiming to be an advocacy nonprofit is advised by a longtime Democrat communications operative according to records reviewed online by the Daily Caller.
00:09:17.000 Tuami has two-year connection to the Biden staffer and basically what happens is Gen Z for Change, they will bring in social media influencers to the White House.
00:09:28.000 The Biden regime will teach them what to say and they'll parrot it word for word.
00:09:36.000 Gen Z for Change leadership claims the TikTok platform was quote to keep power away from traditional gatekeepers.
00:09:44.000 Instead, they are becoming state-run media for the Biden administration.
00:09:51.000 No different, by the way, than the publication of Pravda during the Soviet Union.
00:09:57.000 If you're serious about controlling a nation, you must control the minds.
00:10:01.000 And the Biden regime knows that in order to control the minds, you must control what's being said on TikTok.
00:10:08.000 If you have a kid or grandkid on TikTok, they are being personally propagandized by Ron Clain, by Jen Saki, by Joe Biden.
00:10:18.000 Who is the most prone to revolution?
00:10:19.000 Your grandkids are.
00:10:21.000 And it's happening on TikTok.
00:10:25.000 For a couple of years now, people have been setting up a contest between crypto and gold.
00:10:29.000 But that's like comparing a truck with an SUV.
00:10:32.000 Both carry stuff and travel from A to B, but they do different jobs.
00:10:34.000 Gold's job is to keep the value of your money safe and preserve its value.
00:10:38.000 And since Ukraine, the oil, and the inflation crisis, it's done a brilliant job compared to stocks and other investments.
00:10:43.000 So if you're worried about what's going on right now, who isn't?
00:10:46.000 Just talk to an expert at Noble Gold about precious metal IRAs for your retirement.
00:10:50.000 They'll put you straight on your options and hold your hand through the whole setup process.
00:10:54.000 And this month, for any qualified IRA, you'll get an incredible three-ounce Silver American Virtue Coin, completely free as a thank you.
00:11:01.000 So call 877-646-5347.
00:11:04.000 Now to find out more or visit noblegoldinvestments.com.
00:11:08.000 That's noblegoldinvestments.com.
00:11:13.000 So this AstroTurf communication strategy from the White House has been bubbling up for the last couple of months.
00:11:19.000 We knew that the White House was employing these TikTok influencers.
00:11:24.000 But now some, I guess you could call them whistleblowers are coming out and saying, we were just told to parrot direct talking points from the White House.
00:11:33.000 And this Gen Z for Change is an organization, coalition of 500 content creators who leverage the power of the internet to educate and mobilize our generation to create change.
00:11:43.000 Originally founded as TikTok for Biden as a network to defeat Donald Trump, ultimately capturing 324 million views.
00:11:51.000 Now, that's pretty weak.
00:11:52.000 If you know anything about Turning Point USA's ambassador program, purely educational, not political.
00:11:58.000 These numbers are low.
00:12:00.000 But what they are doing now is they're offering, they're basically becoming a public-private partnership within the Biden regime where Biden is stuffing his unpopular ideas to now get into the phones directly of your grandchildren or your children, or maybe you yourself if you're listening.
00:12:19.000 It says right here that they generated 48,000 petition signatures against Florida's don't say gay bill alongside a coalition of incredible grassroots activists and organizers.
00:12:31.000 You wonder why some young people are so uninformed and misinformed?
00:12:34.000 It's because the regime realizes the fight is beyond just newspapers and what's happening on TV.
00:12:42.000 It's happening right on the phones, and they're good at it.
00:12:45.000 What's an example of this?
00:12:47.000 Well, let's play cut 122 of one of these quote-unquote TikTok influencers outwardly and nakedly peddling propaganda, provda, of the state, play cut 122.
00:13:01.000 I had the opportunity to ask the White House why gas down the street is $7, and here's what they said.
00:13:07.000 The obvious reason we are getting out of a two-year pandemic, when use goes up, price goes up.
00:13:12.000 Now, with Putin starting this horrific fight between Ukraine and Russia, nobody wants to work with him and do an international trade.
00:13:19.000 So, with people being scared of war and limited resources, prices are bound to go up as well.
00:13:25.000 So, this is a young lady by the name of Ellie Zeiler, 1.7 million followers on Instagram, and it looks like 10.6 million followers on TikTok, with over 356 million likes on TikTok, rather considerable.
00:13:40.000 Just parroting very basic kind of Democrat propaganda talking points.
00:13:47.000 I'm not going to attack her.
00:13:48.000 She's just a spokesperson.
00:13:50.000 She doesn't know any better.
00:13:52.000 And in some ways, you should feel sorry for her, but she's a typical celebrity that just here, say this.
00:13:55.000 Okay, here's this video, and I'm going to do this thing.
00:13:58.000 But it goes straight, that right there is seen by more young people than anything else.
00:14:03.000 Now, again, thankfully, at Turning Point USA, our ambassador program, we're countering a lot of it educationally, pushback against left-wing ideas, statist ideas, and all of this.
00:14:15.000 So it's not like they're doing this in a monopolistic way.
00:14:18.000 Ambassador program is something we've been pioneers with at Turning Point USA.
00:14:24.000 But never before have we seen the government of the United States attach itself to this sort of digital outreach mechanism.
00:14:33.000 Fox News report on this, play cut 123.
00:14:36.000 Well, now one TikTok star says he cannot argue with critics who say the White House is using them as pawns.
00:14:44.000 The Daily Caller reporting the White House's advocacy TikTok campaign was actually a Democrat front the entire time.
00:14:50.000 It says it reviewed records which show a longtime Democrat advisor coaching the influencers.
00:14:56.000 That falls in line with what TikTok star Khalil Green told Newsweek: I felt like a lot of the recaps from influencers were not critical.
00:15:06.000 They seem to repeat exactly what the White House was saying.
00:15:11.000 Pravda.
00:15:12.000 Cut 121.
00:15:13.000 Here's another example of a TikTok influencer reporting from the White House, 121.
00:15:18.000 So I just got off of a Zoom call with the White House about the situation in Ukraine.
00:15:22.000 I had the opportunity to ask the White House why gas down the street is $7, and here's what they said.
00:15:28.000 Hey, folks, so I just had the pleasure of joining a White House briefing with a senior official from the National Security Council.
00:15:34.000 What was that like?
00:15:35.000 It was a fantastic experience.
00:15:37.000 It was as though you watch a regular press briefing on TV with Jen Saki.
00:15:42.000 It was very similar to that just on Zoom with about 29 other creators and me.
00:15:47.000 And they, for the first 15 minutes or so, they briefed us on what the United States is doing to help European allies.
00:15:54.000 And then the remaining 30 minutes, we were able to ask questions like journalists about concepts that our viewers or questions that our viewers wanted answers to.
00:16:04.000 Now, to President Trump's credit, they tried to do this and they were so assailed by the media, they kind of backed away from it.
00:16:11.000 It's important to know that the terrain where this war is being fought is beyond just CNN in the news briefing room.
00:16:17.000 Biden and his regime are investing heavily into corrupting your children and grandchildren in the places they consume content where they otherwise would not be even thinking about politics.
00:16:29.000 Let's talk about cancel culture on social media websites like me and what you can do about it.
00:16:34.000 The left wants to silent and boycott any voices they don't agree with.
00:16:37.000 That's why I'm banned from Twitter.
00:16:38.000 Twitter and Facebook were supposed to be open platforms.
00:16:41.000 I don't need their content moderators acting like the op-ed section of the New York Times.
00:16:46.000 So instead of letting social media sites cancel your right to free speech, how about canceling them instead?
00:16:52.000 Now you could just deactivate all your social media accounts, but they would just be giving the left what they want in the first place.
00:16:57.000 Instead, I use ExpressVPN.
00:16:59.000 Ever wondered how free to access sites like Facebook make all their money?
00:17:03.000 Well, by tracking your searchers, video history, and everything you click on, then selling your valuable data.
00:17:07.000 When you use ExpressVPN, you anonymize much of your online presence by hiding your IP address.
00:17:12.000 That makes your activity more difficult to trace and sell to advertisers.
00:17:15.000 And ExpressVPN couldn't be easier to set up.
00:17:18.000 You just tap one button on your phone or computer and you're protected.
00:17:21.000 So it's finally time to say no to the censorship and take back your online privacy at expressvpn.com slash Charlie.
00:17:27.000 By visiting my special link, you'll get three extra months of ExpressVPN service for free.
00:17:32.000 Again, that's exprsvpn.com slash Charlie, expressvpn.com slash Charlie to protect your data today.
00:17:42.000 There's a very important Senate race that is heating up in the state of Ohio.
00:17:46.000 We're less than one month away from the primary, and it really will be a test for the future of the Republican Party.
00:17:54.000 Is the future going to be kind of in the corporate Republican direction?
00:17:58.000 Will it kind of be in the same sort of talking point direction?
00:18:02.000 Or is there space for a new type of Republican, one that will continue the progress made by President Trump of securing stronger trade deals and restricting immigration, but also being very strong on family issues, pro-life issues, and really taking a stand against the alphabet mafia and what they want to do for our country.
00:18:20.000 With us right now is JD Vance, who's running for Senate in Ohio.
00:18:23.000 I have endorsed JD, so that's my full disclaimer, and I'm proud of it.
00:18:26.000 JD, welcome back to the program.
00:18:28.000 Thanks, man.
00:18:29.000 Good to be with you.
00:18:30.000 So, JD, let's start with this grooming topic.
00:18:32.000 You've been unafraid to talk about it.
00:18:34.000 It seems like a lot of Republicans are running to the hills.
00:18:38.000 What do you have to say about this issue of the government coming in and saying that we shouldn't teach children sexual education and the backlash from the left?
00:18:48.000 What are your thoughts on this?
00:18:50.000 Well, it's really weird, right?
00:18:52.000 I mean, these people get very sensitive over the accusation that they're groomers.
00:18:57.000 And at the same time, they react like complete lunatics when you pass a pretty common sense piece of legislation that says you shouldn't sexualize children.
00:19:07.000 And we're not even talking about all children, right?
00:19:09.000 That's a very narrow bill from K to three.
00:19:11.000 I mean, I think you shouldn't be talking to kids about sexuality and gender theory at all, but this is like super young kids from K to three.
00:19:19.000 And I always say to these people, like, look, if you don't want to be called a groomer, don't take this very common sense, moderate, frankly, Florida bill and act like it's the end of the world.
00:19:30.000 You know, some of the stuff that's happening out there is just like five years ago, Charlie, I would have said this is a crazy conspiracy theory.
00:19:36.000 There's no way this is happening in our country.
00:19:38.000 I saw today that in New Jersey, they're in their state curriculum actually going to start teaching second graders about gender identity and sexuality.
00:19:47.000 I mean, this is crazy.
00:19:49.000 We want parents to make these decisions.
00:19:51.000 We certainly don't want schools to be making them.
00:19:53.000 And look, I don't think that it's appropriate for any seven-year-old child to be talked to by a stranger about their sexuality and gender identity, especially when we know so many of the people that are involved in the teachers' unions involved in developing the curriculum have just completely gone off the rocker.
00:20:10.000 I mean, I can't imagine this is popular in Ohio, right?
00:20:12.000 I mean, Ohio is an interesting state.
00:20:14.000 So it's traditionally a battleground state.
00:20:16.000 Democrats used to do well, but it seems like it's becoming more conservative, more red around these types of issues, right?
00:20:22.000 I mean, I can't imagine in like Athens, Ohio, there's like a clamoring class of people, except maybe at the university, that really want like, you know, first graders to be taught about chemical castration.
00:20:37.000 No, you'd think not, actually.
00:20:39.000 And, you know, this in some ways, certainly when I talk to people in Ohio, you know, we just did four events actually yesterday as part of our campaign.
00:20:47.000 You know, we're pretty fired up about this stuff.
00:20:49.000 When I say this stuff, I mean culture war topics in general, right?
00:20:52.000 Our voters want us to fight to protect the unborn.
00:20:55.000 They want us to fight to protect the innocence of children.
00:20:57.000 They actually want us to do something about the indoctrination of their kids in schools.
00:21:01.000 Like they don't want the cut tail and run type of Republican.
00:21:05.000 They actually want people who will actually wage these battles.
00:21:08.000 It's not all about economics, right?
00:21:10.000 That's what so many Republicans, they're comfortable talking about tax policy and regulatory policy.
00:21:15.000 And of course, that stuff matters.
00:21:17.000 But one of the things I've talked about on my campaign, Charlie, is sometimes these things are connected.
00:21:22.000 You can't separate the massive movement towards giving kids hormonal blockers, prepubescent children hormonal blockers, if you can't recognize that some of the people who are profiting the most from this are massive pharmaceutical companies that are lobbying for preferential policies that destroy our kids, but of course enhance their bottom line.
00:21:42.000 So, man, the culture war is being waged.
00:21:44.000 I don't think that we started it.
00:21:46.000 I don't think conservatives started this fight, but certainly we're going to join the fight and we're going to fight back in order to protect our kids.
00:21:52.000 Yeah, no doubt.
00:21:52.000 I mean, and so we're at a place now where, you know, the old GOP, and I think it's really highlighted in your race.
00:21:59.000 I think your race is a great example of this.
00:22:02.000 I don't have to say any names.
00:22:03.000 You can if you want, but there's just some candidates that are just kind of going through the motions of just kind of what Republicans used to always say, like lower taxes.
00:22:10.000 And I want lower taxes, obviously.
00:22:11.000 I think our tax rates are too high.
00:22:13.000 But there's this whole other kind of urgent conflict happening in our country right now in our classrooms and our churches that it seems the Republican Party needs to not just weigh in on this, but lead on this and then also come up with solutions that resonate with normal people.
00:22:29.000 And so talk a little bit about that because I mean, you could go through the whole spectrum of the Republican Party and it's very clear in your primary.
00:22:37.000 Yeah, no, that's exactly right.
00:22:38.000 You definitely have some Republicans running in the corporate model of the GOP, the Chamber of Commerce model.
00:22:44.000 You know, one example is this guy, Mike Gibbons, who's actually a nice guy, but he's proposed raising taxes on middle-class Americans and, of course, middle-class Ohioans.
00:22:54.000 And you sort of look at what's going on in our country and you recognize that Amazon, Google, Facebook, Apple, they pay a lower tax rate than any middle-class Ohioan.
00:23:02.000 Why are we raising taxes on middle-class Ohioans, right?
00:23:05.000 Why aren't we cutting their taxes?
00:23:06.000 Why aren't we cutting the taxes of the businesses that are creating jobs in our state and actually fixing the real problems that exist with some of these multinational corporations that are in bed with the communist Chinese?
00:23:18.000 It just shows a total distortion of priorities when we're talking about hurting middle class Ohioans while we let all these companies off the hook.
00:23:26.000 Another thing that comes up is we're obviously talking a lot about big tech because our voters care a lot about big tech.
00:23:31.000 And you have some of these guys who say, well, Facebook is a massive monopoly.
00:23:35.000 The solution to Facebook is just to log off Facebook.
00:23:37.000 It's like, look, Facebook controls American democracy right now.
00:23:41.000 They control how people vote.
00:23:43.000 They control the information that people see.
00:23:45.000 If your solution to that problem is to just tell people to log off Facebook and not maybe go at the heart of the monopoly power that's been destroying our constitutional republic, then you got to wake up and realize what time it is, man.
00:23:56.000 This is not the same set of problems we had 30, 40 years ago.
00:23:59.000 This is a radically different country and it needs radically different solutions to solve the problems.
00:24:03.000 Yeah, so let's talk about some of those.
00:24:05.000 I mean, you have a new ad out that the media has lost their mind over.
00:24:08.000 I think it's great.
00:24:09.000 Where you're talking about immigration, which seems to be the top issue for a lot of voters' minds.
00:24:14.000 Title 42 might be rescinded.
00:24:16.000 You know, the current kind of senators of Ohio seem uninterested in this topic, even though it directly affects Ohio through labor and wages and drugs and all this.
00:24:25.000 Talk about immigration.
00:24:27.000 This is a great issue where Republicans traditionally have talked an okay game, some not, and then do absolutely nothing, but you're leading on this issue.
00:24:36.000 Yeah, I mean, so you look at the crisis at the southern border, Charlie, and it affects us in Ohio in three very direct ways.
00:24:42.000 One, massive increase in fentanyl across the southern border, killing a lot of our people, leading cause of deaths among 18 to 45-year-olds in our state is fentanyl that's coming across the southern border.
00:24:53.000 Two, massive increase in sex trafficking.
00:24:55.000 You've got teenage kids being sex trafficked from Central America in Ohio communities.
00:24:59.000 That's obviously unacceptable.
00:25:01.000 And three, you get wage competition because a lot of these guys come in and they compete with middle-class Ohioans for jobs.
00:25:07.000 All three of those things very directly affect the type of community, the safety and security, the prosperity of the people who live here.
00:25:14.000 But if you dare complain about what Joe Biden is doing at the southern border, you're a xenophobe.
00:25:18.000 You're a racist.
00:25:19.000 And it sort of hit me that the people who accuse our voters and our people of being racist, they don't care about race.
00:25:27.000 They don't care about skin color.
00:25:28.000 They don't care about increasing compassion or understanding between white and black Americans.
00:25:34.000 What they do is they've found a rhetorical weapon they can use to silence people from complaining about the conditions of their own country.
00:25:42.000 So we decided to cut this ad that really went right at the heart of that and said, look, you know, are you a racist?
00:25:47.000 That's how the ad starts.
00:25:48.000 Are you a racist?
00:25:49.000 Of course you're not, right?
00:25:50.000 You care about the southern border for all these other problems that it causes.
00:25:54.000 And of course, the media reaction to this ad, you're right, they've gone completely insane.
00:25:58.000 It almost proves the point that I was trying to illustrate by cutting the ad in the first place.
00:26:03.000 And if you even talk about this issue, you get accused of something false when what you're really concerned about is love of your own country, love of your fellow citizens, their safety and prosperity.
00:26:15.000 Why is it that, I mean, there's some obvious answers, but I'd love your take.
00:26:18.000 Why is it that Republicans, especially ones that are elected, seem much more interested in foreign borders than our own?
00:26:25.000 Man, it's a great question.
00:26:26.000 And of course, that's illustrated well by what's going on.
00:26:28.000 I think that I saw a statistic that for every 20 minutes that the media focuses on the Russia-Ukraine crisis, they focus one minute on the American southern border.
00:26:38.000 Probably if you cut Fox News in that calculus, it probably goes down to like two seconds if you remove Fox News.
00:26:43.000 Exactly.
00:26:45.000 Yeah.
00:26:45.000 And of course, there is a terrible tragedy going on in Russia and Ukraine.
00:26:48.000 I don't deny it, but we have much more significant problems closer to home.
00:26:52.000 And I mean, I see a real effort to distract from our problems going on, right?
00:26:56.000 If you think of Russia and Ukraine, it allows Joe Biden to stand up there and act like a tough guy.
00:27:02.000 It allows Kamala Harris to go to Poland.
00:27:03.000 And, you know, maybe she sounds like an idiot, but she at least is talking about issues that are affecting us in the world.
00:27:10.000 It serves as a major distraction from their own failures to govern domestically.
00:27:14.000 Think about the inflation crisis.
00:27:16.000 Think about the cost of fertilizer skyrocketing, which is hurting Ohio farmers, but also down the road is going to mean a lot of our people can't afford food to eat, right?
00:27:25.000 Think about the southern border and all the drug problems.
00:27:27.000 Think about so many of the problems that are making our people less free, less secure, more poor.
00:27:34.000 And Joe Biden doesn't have to talk about that stuff because he gets to talk about the border of a country 6,000 miles away.
00:27:39.000 I think this is very intentional.
00:27:40.000 I think the media knows what game it's playing.
00:27:43.000 And the thing I always warn conservatives, Charlie, those conservatives who want to project a strong America in the world, who care about America being the beacon of freedom, democracy, is I say, look, you go to war with the generals that you have.
00:27:56.000 I know you've made this point too, Charlie.
00:27:58.000 The generals we have are Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
00:28:01.000 I do not trust these people.
00:28:03.000 Yes.
00:28:03.000 In general, Milley, I do not trust these people to escalate this situation, which is why I say, let's focus at home.
00:28:09.000 Let's not allow these idiots to blunder us into a major war.
00:28:12.000 Yeah, I've said that from the beginning.
00:28:14.000 I say, look, I have my own personal opinions of whether or not we should get involved.
00:28:17.000 I say no.
00:28:18.000 But let's pretend you're right.
00:28:19.000 Let's say you know something I don't know.
00:28:21.000 It is inarguable, even for the most aggressive war hawk, that Mark Milley is not even close to what we should be going to war with.
00:28:30.000 I mean, everyone on the right agrees that I say, okay, so we mess up Afghanistan, which was a total tragedy.
00:28:34.000 It was awful.
00:28:35.000 It was a disaster.
00:28:36.000 And then you're like, okay, let's now use the same team for that.
00:28:39.000 Does it make any sense?
00:28:41.000 No, not at all.
00:28:42.000 And think about it.
00:28:42.000 One of the main consequences, man, the main tragedy of our departure from Afghanistan was how many weapon systems fell into the hands of our enemies.
00:28:50.000 85 billion.
00:28:51.000 The Chinese caught up technologically in this very profound way because a lot of our advanced weapon systems fell into their hands.
00:28:58.000 This is why we have to be careful about escalating this situation, because if it becomes a full-blown hot war with American involvement, we're not just going to lose American lives.
00:29:07.000 We're going to lose American technology advantage.
00:29:09.000 We're going to lose the weapon system into the hands of our enemies.
00:29:11.000 This is a very dangerous situation for our country.
00:29:14.000 And look, we've got the worst people in the world driving the ship.
00:29:18.000 I want to avoid the iceberg, not drive right in the middle of it.
00:29:21.000 Go to jdvance.com to help out JD in this last push.
00:29:26.000 I am going out there.
00:29:27.000 I don't think we've announced this yet, but we will soon.
00:29:29.000 I guess we're announcing it now.
00:29:30.000 I'll be there the last Sunday and Monday, helping out in my personal time with JD, doing whatever I can to help rally the troops.
00:29:37.000 I love Ohio.
00:29:38.000 It's one of my favorite places in the world.
00:29:39.000 I think more presidents have come from Ohio than any other state except Virginia.
00:29:43.000 Is that right?
00:29:43.000 Something like that.
00:29:44.000 That's right.
00:29:45.000 More astronauts and presidents.
00:29:46.000 Actually, it might be more than Virginia.
00:29:50.000 Being an entrepreneur and running a business is not for the faint of heart.
00:29:53.000 I have two jobs.
00:29:53.000 I do the Charlie Kirk show till noon, then Turning Point USA till I go to sleep and all the problems in between.
00:29:58.000 A lot of stress.
00:29:59.000 330 days on the road I spent last year.
00:30:02.000 But if you're not careful, the stress can start to take a toll on your body, raising your blood pressure, making it harder to sleep, draining you of vital energy, and making you more irritable.
00:30:10.000 That's why I recommend you supplement with magnesium daily.
00:30:13.000 About 75% of people are magnesium deficient.
00:30:16.000 That number might be higher among business owners and C-level professionals.
00:30:20.000 That's because stress depletes magnesium levels.
00:30:22.000 This can trigger a various cycle of rising stress and severe magnesium deficiency.
00:30:27.000 This deficiency can lead to higher levels of anxiety, irritability, trouble sleeping, and low energy.
00:30:32.000 It can even contribute to foot and leg cramps while you sleep.
00:30:35.000 Now, you might be wondering, does magnesium really affect all these things?
00:30:38.000 Well, the answer is yes.
00:30:39.000 In fact, magnesium is involved in more than 300 chemical processes inside your body.
00:30:43.000 So a lot of different things can start to go wrong if you're deficient.
00:30:46.000 The good news is you can experience a number of positive health benefits just by getting enough magnesium, including better sleep, more energy, healthy blood pressure, less irritability, a calmer mood, stronger bones, reduced muscle cramping, and even a few migraines.
00:30:58.000 But to experience these health benefits, you have to get the right kinds of magnesium.
00:31:01.000 Truth is, most magnesium supplements you find in health stores use the only two cheapest synthetic forms.
00:31:06.000 They're not full spectrum.
00:31:08.000 There are actually seven unique forms of magnesium.
00:31:10.000 You must get all of them if you want to experience its calming, stress-relieving effects.
00:31:13.000 That's why I recommend magnesium breakthrough from Buy Optimizers.
00:31:17.000 It's the only full organic, full-spectrum magnesium supplement that includes seven unique forms of magnesium for stress relief.
00:31:24.000 Better sleep all in one bottle.
00:31:25.000 Simply take two capsules before you go to bed, and you'll be amazed by the improvements in your mood and energy levels.
00:31:30.000 And how much rested you feel when you wake up?
00:31:32.000 How much more rest do you feel when you wake up?

00:31:52.000 JD, I am banned from Twitter.
00:31:54.000 Elon Musk has bought a portion of Twitter.
00:31:58.000 What are we to do about this?
00:31:59.000 We win back the Senate.
00:32:00.000 Let's say you're on the committees.
00:32:02.000 What could you do, JD Vance, to put a check on big tech's power?
00:32:06.000 Well, first of all, you're right, man.
00:32:08.000 Elon did buy nearly a 10% stake in Twitter.
00:32:11.000 Now he's on the board.
00:32:12.000 And I think if he wanted to do a great public service for America, Elon should let you back on Twitter, but he should also let Donald Trump back on Twitter.
00:32:19.000 That's right.
00:32:21.000 Even the people who get annoyed at Donald Trump's Twitter profile have to admit it was a great source of political comedy for our country, right?
00:32:29.000 Like we actually had a politician who recognized how humorous the whole political system was and actually cracked some jokes about it.
00:32:37.000 That's maybe the thing I miss most about Trump's Twitter profile.
00:32:40.000 But look, man, I fear at the end of the day that a guy like Elon buying Twitter or buying 10% of it doesn't actually solve the deeper structural problem of big tech in this country.
00:32:52.000 And Twitter isn't even the most important one, right?
00:32:54.000 Google, Facebook, Apple, much more significant companies in our daily lives.
00:32:59.000 So look, let me just illustrate this, right?
00:33:01.000 So we all know the way that these companies affect our politics.
00:33:05.000 So the Hunter Biden laptop story, I think the suppression of that story by itself cost Trump millions of votes, which before you even get to the election day problems, that what happened before Election Day, I think probably cost Trump by itself the election.
00:33:20.000 The other thing that's going on, man, is if you take all of these companies, they're also not just affecting our politics, they're affecting our culture too.
00:33:29.000 So Google, Charlie, when you're alone after your show, just type into Google, can a man become pregnant?
00:33:37.000 And the first result that you will get is yes, men can become pregnant.
00:33:40.000 In fact, it happens more often than you might think.
00:33:42.000 Now, that's that, like, it's funny for us to joke about this, but think about a 12-year-old.
00:33:46.000 Right here, it says, yes, can a man become pregnant?
00:33:49.000 Yes, it's possible for men to become pregnant and give birth to children of their own.
00:33:52.000 That's Google right now.
00:33:55.000 Yeah, you're right.
00:33:56.000 And we can joke about that all.
00:33:57.000 It's so absurd.
00:33:58.000 But think about a 12-year-old where their authoritative source of information is going to be typing a question into Google.
00:34:04.000 You realize these guys are transforming our entire culture.
00:34:07.000 I think we have to, I'm sorry to ruin your day, but I think there are two things that we have to do.
00:34:13.000 We have to be willing to update our antitrust laws to break these companies up.
00:34:17.000 And I actually think we need to go after the whole business model of big tech, which basically steals our data, right?
00:34:23.000 All of our cell phones and all of our internet activity is secretly spying on us.
00:34:28.000 And then they sell our data back to us in the form of targeted advertising.
00:34:32.000 I think it's time to really put a lid on that.
00:34:34.000 If they're going to steal our data, they've got to pay for it or at least notify us when it's happening.
00:34:38.000 Yeah.
00:34:38.000 And you being in the Senate, you'll be a bulldog.
00:34:41.000 That's another thing people have to realize is that senators can kind of carve out their issues, right?
00:34:47.000 Lindsey Graham, his issues to invade every sovereign country, you know, in the other hemisphere.
00:34:53.000 You know, Marco Rubio is really kind of into the Cuban thing, which as you would expect, right?
00:34:57.000 Ted Cruz, you know, into oil company type stuff and oil natural gas.
00:35:01.000 But you as a senator, you'll make big tech like one of your things, right?
00:35:04.000 Like that will be something where you're constantly issuing letters and you will not let go of it.
00:35:10.000 Absolutely.
00:35:10.000 And I'm not going to be one of these guys that gets embarrassed when we haul these tech company CEOs and ask them questions about what's going on, right?
00:35:17.000 It's really sad when you've got these Republican senators who clearly have no idea what's going on and Zuckerberg or Dorsey or whoever else just runs circles around them.
00:35:26.000 You're never going to get to the bottom of this stuff unless you have senators who understand how these technologies work.
00:35:32.000 And yeah, man, to me, this is maybe the most important single issue.
00:35:36.000 Because if you can control what people see, what information they have access to, you can control how they think, you can control how they speak, you control how they vote.
00:35:46.000 So this is really the power to control the world's greatest country.
00:35:50.000 And that is something that we have to be very careful of, especially given the business relationships between the big tech companies and a lot of our biggest enemies, including the CCP.
00:36:00.000 And the CDC. as well, which is important to remember.
00:36:03.000 Tons of money being pumped in from the federal government to subsidize these tech companies.
00:36:06.000 That's right.
00:36:06.000 JD Vance, it's JDvance.com.
00:36:09.000 Thank you so much.
00:36:10.000 And I will see you in a couple of weeks.
00:36:11.000 Keep working hard in the great state of Ohio.
00:36:13.000 Talk to you soon, JD.
00:36:14.000 Thanks, man.
00:36:15.000 Looking forward to it.
00:36:16.000 Thank you so much for listening, everybody.
00:36:17.000 Email us your thoughts as always, freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:36:20.000 Thank you so much for listening.
00:36:21.000 God bless.
