00:03:39.000 Jussie Smollett is a gay black man, and he is currently facing a disorderly conduct charge and filing a false police report to set up an attack on himself on the night of January 29th.

00:03:53.000 Now, many of you listening right now might not remember all the details around this, and the importance of this story is very simple. 0.60

00:04:00.000 It's that every single day we are told by the activist press, the New York Times, the Washington Post, academia, Facebook, Harvard, every major institution that America is systemically racist, that hate crimes are on the rise.

00:04:15.000 Even though the type of hate crimes that are on the rise are black on Asian hate crimes, even though the type of hate crimes that are not even being reported are Christmas trees being burned all across the country.

00:04:25.000 For example, if a menorah was burned, it would rightly be called a hate crime.

00:04:30.000 If a mosque was burned, it would rightly be called a hate crime. 0.97

00:04:36.000 The Christmas tree outside of Fox News was just burned a couple days ago, and the suspect was released with basically no bail.

00:04:48.000 You see, this idea of hate crimes is something that's taken very seriously by the Biden Department of Justice.

00:04:58.000 We're actually so incredibly good to each other, given all the differences that we're supposed to focus on, that we have a supply and demand issue when it comes to racism.

00:05:10.000 We have such a low supply of racism and a high demand that it requires con artists like Jussie Smollett to create racism where it doesn't exist to try and draw attention to himself.

00:05:22.000 Put very simply and plainly, if you are a victim of a hate crime, it's like winning the lottery.

00:05:30.000 You get right into the news cycle.

00:05:34.000 I want you to think about how sick that is.

00:05:36.000 That the way that the American media has now designed things, people want to be a victim of a hate crime.

00:06:27.000 It's important because Robin Williams, I think that's her name, black journalist, immediately interviewed Jussie Smollett and went all in for this story. 0.81

00:06:38.000 Every media outlet said, oh my goodness, it's so terrible that to make America great, two MAGA hat-wearing white people were walking the streets when it was negative 20 degrees in Chicago and threw a rope around a black gay actor.

00:06:55.000 And no one ever stopped to say, wait a second, have you ever spent any time in Chicago?

00:07:01.000 As soon as I heard this story, I said, wait a second, hold on.

00:07:03.000 You're trying to tell me that two white men wearing MAGA hats at 2 a.m. when it was negative 20 degrees outside, one of the coldest days in Chicago on January 29th, they then found Jesse Smollett and threw a rope around him.

00:07:25.000 Here's a minute-by-minute account.

00:07:28.000 Jesse Smollett landed at O'Hare Airport at 1249 a.m.

00:07:33.000 Smollett then called his co-conspirators, two black Nigerians.

00:07:38.000 Here's just a little bit. 0.96

00:07:39.000 For anyone out there that is thinking of staging or faking a hate crime, which happens a lot, by the way, don't use black Nigerians to try to stage a white supremacist hate crime. 0.93

00:08:40.000 So Smollett calls his co-conspirators, the Nigerians.

00:08:45.000 Amibola Osundario says the attack would take place at 2 a.m. at the corner of New and North Streets, a predetermined location.

00:08:56.000 Then the Nigerian brothers order a Uber rideshare, which picks the brothers up at their Lakeview apartment.

00:09:03.000 Surveillance video shows that the Osenderio brothers on foot in an area boarded on the north of Illinois Street, south by the Chicago River.

00:09:12.000 Smollett then arrives at a Streeterville apartment from the O'Hare airport.

00:09:17.000 Smollett then leaves to go get subway at 2 a.m.

00:09:20.000 It's kind of weird.

00:09:22.000 And then the Osendario brothers arrive at the intersection where the whole thing was staged.

00:09:28.000 A 45-second incident occurs.

00:09:32.000 And then the video then shows the Osendario brothers entering a taxi and going to the Hyatt Regency Hotel.

00:09:38.000 And remember, it was colder in Chicago that night than it was in the South Pole, just to be very clear, literally.

00:09:47.000 Jussie Smollett's business manager then calls the Chicago police, Frank Gatson.

00:09:56.000 And here's when you knew it was just total nonsense.

00:09:58.000 And there is video of this.

00:10:00.000 The police enter the apartment, and Jussie Smollet still has the rope around his neck.

00:10:10.000 So what's the first thing that the police say?

00:10:12.000 You know you could take that rope off, right?

00:10:16.000 You don't have to wear it.

00:10:18.000 You don't have to wear the alleged lynching supplies.

00:10:23.000 Officers arrive at Smollett's apartment to interview him.

00:10:26.000 They observe cuts and scrapes on his face.

00:10:29.000 Smollett said the attackers yelled that this is MAGA country.

00:10:34.000 Now, I've been to a lot of Trump rallies.

00:10:35.000 I've never heard anyone say that.

00:10:37.000 That sounds like something that leftists think Trump supporters say at our rallies.

00:13:11.000 The Empire actor who faces charges of lying to Chicago police also revealed he received a text from CNN's Don Lemon during the investigation, relaying that officers didn't believe his account of what happened.

00:13:36.000 You're so terrified that two white people wearing Make America Great Again hats are trying to kill you, and it's a hate crime while you get Subway and it's negative 50 degrees with wind chill.

00:13:48.000 And you're so incredibly taken back by that, you continue to wear the rope as a piece of, I guess you could call it jewelry.

00:13:59.000 I mean, what is he just kind of just wearing it around?

00:15:09.000 There's not a lot of us out there that deal in the currency of fraudulent incidents to try and elevate one's career.

00:15:20.000 And look, what's so sick about this entire thing, and we'll see how the jury rules.

00:15:26.000 It could be like an OJ thing where you just have someone that convinces the jury because they hate the police and they hate the Chicago police or whatever.

00:15:34.000 Is that there were hundreds of police officers that were directed off the beat, that there were murders that probably got unresponded to because of what happened with Jesse Smollett.

00:15:44.000 Because if there really was a hate crime in downtown Chicago of two white rural anti-gay people wearing MAGA hats walking the streets negative 50 degrees, it could happen to anyone.

00:15:57.000 But in reality, it was two Nigerian brothers who were paid by Jussie Smollett to stage this entire thing.

00:16:04.000 Why would somebody do that?

00:16:06.000 That goes to the point about incentives.

00:16:09.000 They would do that because the way you become popular in the postmodern America is not through winning a Grammy, which Jussie Smollett would never do, or winning an Emmy, which Jesse Smollett would never be able to do.

00:18:55.000 California OSHA showed up to your elementary school and high school.

00:19:00.000 And what did they do and what did they want?

00:19:03.000 Well, thanks, first of all, Charlie, just for what you do and for having me on your show today.

00:19:08.000 OSHA showed up last week and they gave, they went and got a restraining order after I let him in, telling him they need to call our lawyer.

00:19:16.000 And they came back with a restraining order and they are wanting to find out all of our health measures, not just the physical H1, typical OSHA stuff, which is fine with me.

00:19:27.000 But now it's, are the kids doing what they're supposed to do?

00:19:30.000 Are they social distancing, wearing masks?

00:19:32.000 What's your policy for vaccines?

00:19:35.000 And so they are now more or less, in my mind, being weaponized by the county to do what the county couldn't do.

00:19:44.000 And so this is the California branch of OSHA.

00:19:47.000 So Bob Tyler, who does a phenomenal job, I want to bring you into this, and you're representing this church.

00:19:53.000 So we're told that the vaccine mandates from OSHA have been stayed on a federal level.

00:19:59.000 The vaccine mandate has been shot down in the Senate, and that doesn't mean it's been put into policy yet.

00:20:06.000 But now we're seeing the California OSHA, which is supposed to be the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

00:20:13.000 It's more like the occupational safety and health authoritarianism.

00:20:17.000 Bob, what is going on here?

00:20:19.000 And this seems to be a direct threat on religious liberty and for the church to be able to worship.

00:20:26.000 It certainly is.

00:20:27.000 And thanks, Charlie.

00:20:29.000 You know, it is, I want to use the right word here.

00:20:33.000 Mike called it a restraining order.

00:20:35.000 It's actually a warrant.

00:20:37.000 They got a warrant from the court to come investigate and interrogate the employees.

00:20:44.000 It's just unprecedented to have a church that is in the crosshairs, frankly, to this degree of the giant bureaucracy of the Santa Clara County, the state of California, and as Mike said, the weapon that they're using, OSHA.

00:21:08.000 And we're finding that not only here, but they're going against churches and Christian schools throughout the state with OSHA.

00:21:16.000 I've had numerous churches and schools, Christian schools that have called me with regard to OSHA sending them letters, as well as the state licensing board for preschools and other county health officials.

00:21:31.000 So they're not relenting here in California.

00:21:36.000 And, you know, this is, it's almost like I picture Mike as being that young Chinese student who stood in front of the tanks in Tiananmen Square.

00:21:46.000 We have to put a stop to this here in California.

00:21:49.000 Oh, I mean, to say the least, and Mike, you deserve so much credit.

00:21:52.000 You've kept your church open.

00:21:54.000 You have accrued 3.8 million fine and dollars in fines against the county.

00:21:59.000 And just for our national listeners, Calvary Chapel, San Jose is right near the big tech kind of enterprise.

00:22:09.000 It's right in the belly of the beast, if you will.

00:22:12.000 So, Bob, I want to ask you, so what right does California OSHA have to show up to an elementary school or high school?

00:22:20.000 They're mostly supposed to look at job sites and, you know, kind of if there's something that has huge occupational risk, what is the precedent for this?

00:22:30.000 And it seems so similar to what the federal government is threatening to do with OSHA nationwide.

00:22:36.000 Yeah, it absolutely is.

00:22:38.000 And they're coming in under the guise of employee safety, that there are teachers who are employed by the school.

00:22:46.000 And this is going to be a significant religious liberty issue as well.

00:22:50.000 There is a doctrine of church autonomy that says, hey, the government has to stay out of schools.

00:22:56.000 It has to stay out of the relationship between the, excuse me, they have to stay out of church schools, that is, and stay out of churches itself.

00:23:05.000 Now, when you have employees who are working for a church, there is going to be an argument that we're going to raise that says you don't have the right to interfere in the relationship between the church and its ministers.

00:23:18.000 And these teachers are ministers.

00:23:21.000 So, Mike, just to give the audience a picture, you've kept the church open.

00:23:26.000 And because of that, you have now been subject to this Gestapo agent of inspecting prayer meetings.

00:23:34.000 You guys are in continued litigation.

00:23:37.000 And so there's $3.8 million in fines.

00:23:40.000 I want to emphasize that for the audience.

00:23:42.000 $3.8 million in fines for the ability to have church.

00:23:46.000 This is not in Cuba.

00:23:48.000 This is not North Korea.

00:23:50.000 This is in San Jose.

00:23:53.000 And so when people say, oh, Charlie, when is tyranny going to come here?

00:23:56.000 Oh, it's here.

00:23:57.000 And then not to mention $100,000 against you personally, Mike.

00:24:01.000 Mike, talk to us how you've held the line because there's a cost for you to fight for liberty and you're a hero for that.

00:24:10.000 Well, first of all, I mean, look how old I look.

00:24:12.000 I'm only 29 years old.

00:24:14.000 You know, I think you got to have that perspective of you're living in a time, just like it says in 2 Timothy chapter 3.

00:24:23.000 You know, Paul says there's going to be perilous times.

00:24:25.000 And he goes on and talks about our culture today.

00:24:28.000 Man, there are lovers of themselves.

00:24:29.000 And you just see the pervasiveness of wickedness in our culture that's now being accepted as morality and celebrated.

00:24:38.000 And everything that's right, everything that God ordained as true and wholesome is now under attack.

00:24:45.000 And so Paul says in 2 Timothy 3 that if you're going to live godly, this is one of those promises that we don't like to have in our promise books, but if you're going to live godly in Christ Jesus, you will suffer persecution.

00:24:56.000 And so I think as Christians, we have to count the cost today.

00:25:01.000 If we're going to hold on to our jobs and we're trying to hold on to our nice American dream and this life that we think we're going to get again, it's not going to come back.

00:25:09.000 We're wrong.

00:25:10.000 We have to stand.

00:25:11.000 And I really believe God wants us to occupy until he comes.

00:25:15.000 And what's unique about our country is that we are the people, the government.

00:25:20.000 We have to stand for right and true.

00:25:22.000 And the problem with pastors, I think, in my mind, is that they're just hoping this will go away and things will come back to normal.

00:25:28.000 And they don't want to get caught in the fray, but they need to stand up.

00:25:32.000 And by doing it, yeah, you have had a lot of, you know, loss, threats, and persecution.

00:25:38.000 But what we also have had is over 500 people baptized.

00:25:41.000 We had, I mean, hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of people coming to church.

00:25:45.000 Our church has quadrupled.

00:25:47.000 I mean, it's probably over 3,000 people now.

00:25:50.000 When we started this, we were five.

00:25:52.000 And this isn't something I thought would happen.

00:25:53.000 I was expecting people to leave, but they're all looking for a voice like yours.

00:25:58.000 They're looking for someone to stand up and represent them because they're not getting in these politicians.

00:26:04.000 These are our times in which we need to stand because if we don't, America's gone.

00:26:10.000 And I think people don't understand the true effect that America has on the world.

00:26:15.000 Think about the missionaries in the past.

00:26:17.000 Think about what America used to be.

00:26:19.000 Now, I don't know if we'll ever get back to that, but I do believe it's the pastor's responsibility to bring the gospel and to be shepherds.

00:26:28.000 And a shepherd is to lay down his life for the sheep.

00:26:31.000 And today, what we have is hirelings.

00:26:33.000 We have people who are just taking a job and they're living Christianity, you know, very much like the church of Laodicea in a lukewarm manner. 1.00

00:26:42.000 And God says, I want you to be hot or cold, but don't be lukewarm.

00:26:46.000 And I think it's where God's saying, look, stand up, regardless of the persecution and the consequences, do what's right.

00:26:54.000 And I believe God will bless you.

00:26:55.000 Well, I just want to say it's so inspiring to hear that because that's what being American is all about.

00:27:01.000 And that's what that was, that's what courage is.

00:27:03.000 Courage is so rare.

00:27:05.000 Courage is doing the right thing when you do not know how it's going to end up.

00:27:10.000 That's what courage is.

00:27:11.000 And I just want to go through some of these numbers.

00:27:13.000 And Bob, you could add some context to this, which is $100,000 of you personally, pastor.

00:27:18.000 In excess.

00:27:19.000 Yeah.

00:27:20.000 Personally.

00:27:21.000 $100,000 contempt fines personally.

00:27:23.000 $3.8 million in fines levied against the church.

00:27:27.000 They have gone into prayer meetings.

00:27:29.000 And again, they always say separation of church and state.

00:27:32.000 Well, why don't you keep the state out of the church then?

00:27:35.000 You see, why don't you keep the government out of the church?

00:27:37.000 They've never actually believed that.

00:27:39.000 And they have threatened the county council, James Williams, has threatened the church's mortgage holder because you guys open your church.

00:27:47.000 They've demanded the discovery of the names of your members, your volunteers and donors, and financial records.

00:27:54.000 So far, there's been 2,700 hours of attorney hours defending Calvary Chapel, San Jose.

00:28:01.000 And if Calvary Chapel, San Jose, had to pay that, if it wasn't for Bob Tyler's amazing organization, it would be well over a million dollars in fees to date.

00:28:09.000 Bob, what am I missing?

00:28:12.000 You know what?

00:28:13.000 The only thing you're missing out of that story is the goodness of God when you hear a young couple who were a young woman from Russia who came to church when Mike was defying the orders.

00:28:25.000 And she said, I've been looking for a church.

00:28:28.000 And she comes to Mike and says, I was talking to my mom this morning in Moscow.

00:28:32.000 And she said, our churches have been open this whole time.

00:28:35.000 And she said, it sounds like California is more communist than we are here in Russia.

00:28:40.000 It's shocking.

00:28:41.000 But thanks to Mike and, you know, the goodness of God that we have seen people come to the Lord and people probably avoided suicide over and over again thanks to what Mike's been doing in this dark part of California.
