00:01:50.000 I was up very late last night, as I have been all week on phones, phone calls, and conference calls with legislators, with insiders of Nebraska.

00:02:02.000 And I know more now about the unicameral in Nebraska than most, than I ever thought I would a week ago.

00:02:12.000 I'll give you an update on the bill.

00:02:13.000 Here's the essence of the whole thing.

00:02:15.000 And we're going to go through this from a historical perspective and we're going to ask the question repeatedly.

00:02:20.000 And I think it is the most important question in front of the conservative movement.

00:02:25.000 It's the most important question of whether or not we are going to save the country.

00:02:29.000 So we've been fighting very hard on trying to get Nebraska to be winner-take-all.

00:02:33.000 Super simple.

00:02:34.000 There is no constitutional obstacle getting in the way.

00:02:39.000 There's not some sort of insurmountable Nebraska legislative rules.

00:02:44.000 They say, oh, we have a filibuster.

00:02:46.000 Well, we've read all of the Nebraska legislative rules.

00:02:50.000 A three-fifths majority can vote to suspend the rules.

00:02:53.000 The Nebraska GOP in the unicameral has that.

00:02:56.000 Oh, the session time is going to run out.

00:02:58.000 Well, the governor can call a special session for a specific topic.

00:03:02.000 So right now, I don't know if this bill is going to succeed this week, but there's time left on the calendar next week, and the governor can call a special session, change the rules, have the Speaker of the House, Speaker Arch, change the rules.

00:03:14.000 Boom, winner-take-all.

00:03:17.000 The tools are there, but what we need is a will to use them.

00:03:23.000 And to be perfectly honest, there is not a desire from some members and just the Republican apparatus at large to act.

00:03:37.000 The left, they have a will to power, as Nietzsche would say.

00:03:44.000 They have a burning desire for the will to power.

00:03:50.000 Every single day, the left gets up and they have a pathological obsession for the will to power.

00:03:58.000 In the Nebraska legislature, one Democrat is so obsessed about making sure that Nebraska does not become winner-take-all, she is attaching amendments and filibustering every single bill to try to take up time in the Nebraska unicameral just in case this bill comes back for another hearing.

00:04:19.000 They are obsessed.

00:04:21.000 When Roe versus Wade was repealed, or it was sent back to the states, I should say, in New York, they stayed up all night and they wrote a thousand-page abortion bill and they steamrolled every single rule you could imagine New York and they got it done.

00:04:36.000 California did the same, Washington did the same, Oregon did the same.

00:04:41.000 They have the will to power.

00:04:44.000 Why don't we have the will to win?

00:04:48.000 Now, the will means pushing through for a righteous cause, regardless of the noise and regardless of the commotion.

00:04:56.000 The will to win is the single greatest reason, or the lack of the will to win is the single greatest reason we are losing America.

00:05:04.000 It's that simple.

00:05:05.000 And I don't want to overly pick on Nebraska.

00:05:09.000 This is a systemic issue in modern conservatism.

00:05:15.000 But the excuses that I receive, not just for this issue, but for so many things.

00:05:20.000 Why is the border not secure?

00:05:22.000 Why have we not deported more of these foreigners in the state of Texas? 1.00

00:05:26.000 Why don't we also indict the criminals on the left?

00:05:30.000 Where are the Republican attorneys general that are using political power the same way the Democrats use power?

00:05:39.000 We have an attitude problem.

00:05:42.000 We have a psychological issue in the American right.

00:05:44.000 Where did this come from?

00:05:47.000 Well, the first of which is that so many people that run for political office, they are not patriots at their core.

00:05:56.000 Some mean really well and they go there, but then they get swallowed by this leviathan.

00:06:02.000 They get captured by the machinery.

00:06:07.000 This attitude issue has been haunting me for years.

00:07:23.000 But your leaders in D.C. and in your state capitals, they quiver, they shake because they might be called a bad name, or it might be a little unprecedented, or it might go up against procedures.

00:07:39.000 What will Democrats do if we fix Nebraska?

00:07:42.000 We don't know.

00:07:43.000 But the will to win means you must embrace some uncertainty.

00:07:50.000 But it's clear that they're terrified that if we get this done in Nebraska, and we are going to do everything we can to get it done.

00:07:56.000 I don't care if we run out of specials, if we run out of this session, we're going to call for a special session.

00:08:01.000 I'm going out there on Tuesday.

00:08:03.000 Like I, you know, I need to go to Nebraska.

00:08:06.000 Like I need, you know, a hole in the head in the sense of like another thing on my schedule.

00:08:10.000 I'm going all across the country next week.

00:08:11.000 But I said it's a priority, add it to the schedule, get it done.

00:08:15.000 By the way, the other national leaders, I'm trying to like gather all this enthusiasm.

00:08:20.000 And, you know, there's been a fair amount of support, but this is not a priority for our side.

00:08:24.000 I said, guys, you realize that the national polling shows that we are headed for, you know, Joe Biden potentially becoming president.

00:08:31.000 This is like flipping a state months ahead of time.

00:08:35.000 And I would like to see more, you know, Republican consolidation and support behind this.

00:08:42.000 But maybe there's something else more important that they're doing.

00:08:46.000 But we've fought before and we've used the will to win before, but we have been so beat into submission by the regime.

00:08:55.000 And it's working.

00:08:56.000 The psychological warfare that the regime is employing from raiding homes, from putting grandmas in gulags, I hate to say it, but they're winning before the even election.

00:09:08.000 If Nebraska truly fails to get this done, with all the support and the governor and Senator Ricketts and the people of Nebraska, if it truly is, you know, we're going to try again next year, then there is no way you can say that you are elected as a patriot and you are concerned about Joe Biden getting another term.

00:09:34.000 Politicians running for office will do dozens of dinners and rallies and fundraisers to raise $50 million, yet just locking up Nebraska would save you tens of millions of dollars.

00:09:44.000 And we're like one or two votes away.

00:09:47.000 And even if it fails, just do a special session.

00:09:51.000 We're not going to give up.

00:13:38.000 But I don't know if in Nebraska the lawmakers feel that kind of urgency.

00:13:46.000 Imagine in five years, this could be the man who saved America or the man who lost it by one electoral vote.

00:13:54.000 And some people say, Oh, Charlie, you're fear-mongering.

00:13:59.000 Do you know that if you run 10,000 simulations on the most likely outcomes, do you know the most likely outcome is that Joe Biden wins right now by two electoral votes?

00:14:13.000 We would go to a tie, it'd go to the House, and Trump becomes president if Nebraska fixes it.

00:14:18.000 This is not some sort of abstract foreign chance.

00:14:25.000 And I understand a lot of people in Nebraska that might be in the state capitol, they might not have signed up for this.

00:15:09.000 I want to bring you back in time, back in time, to something that we thought was going to be an easy glide path: a confirmation of a Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

00:15:24.000 It all just kind of seemed as if, here we go.

00:15:28.000 Kavanaugh gets selected.

00:15:30.000 We have the votes.

00:15:32.000 And out of nowhere, Diane Feinstein, who's a very wicked person, comes out with, oh, we have an accusation about Brett Kavanaugh's childhood.

00:15:50.000 I was on these calls.

00:15:51.000 Blake remembers it of top-level Republicans that said, we have to pull the Brett Kavanaugh nomination.

00:16:02.000 And instead, to Mitch McConnell's credit and most importantly, Donald Trump's credit, who could poll or nominate, they said, no, we are going all in.

00:16:19.000 But in that moment, because we understood the stakes of a U.S. Supreme Court seat and we were willing to accept all of the nonsense, all of the rancor, all of the noise, we just toned it out and marched forward.

00:20:35.000 And by the way, what an insult to all the people who will work hard this fall, people who knock on doors, the fundraising, do early voting.

00:30:53.000 Kavanaugh, Gorsuch, we got rid of the filibuster.

00:30:58.000 Even Bush v. Gore, Bush definitely had the will to win in the 2000 election of Bush v. Gore.

00:31:07.000 And Governor Pillan has been great endorsing this electoral college winner-take-all model.

00:31:12.000 So Sen Speaker John Arch says the time for adding bills is over in this legislative session.

00:31:21.000 The eyes of millions are on the governor and the great state of Nebraska.

00:32:41.000 And I just always go back to the last sentence of the Declaration of Independence.

00:32:45.000 With a firm reliance on the protection of divine providence, we mutually pledge to ourselves our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor.

00:32:55.000 Well, men who wrote it, but the wives that supported them.

00:32:58.000 They were founding mothers of this country, too.

00:33:00.000 It was a great generation that gave us this country.

00:33:07.000 And here's the way I look at it: I made a promise to myself, I made a promise to Erica, I made a promise to my family, made a promise to my team, and a promise to our 300,000 donors that in 2024, I was going to work harder than any other person has ever worked to try and win in November.

00:33:25.000 And if we fail, at least I'll be able to say I did everything with my agency.

00:33:29.000 Now, I look around, I don't see other people working that hard.

00:33:32.000 I see a lot of champagne.

00:33:34.000 I see a lot of drunkenness.

00:33:36.000 I see a lot of laziness.

00:33:38.000 Hope they get it fixed.

00:33:39.000 But now all of a sudden, this thing kind of just came down and it's a perfect storm.

00:33:46.000 If we can actually get to a vote, we have the votes.

00:33:48.000 You have the governor endorsement, President Trump, perfect storm.

00:33:51.000 So I think it would be betrayal if all of a sudden that we just kind of turned our back on this.

00:33:58.000 The stakes are too high.

00:33:59.000 And I'll just go back to this point.

00:34:02.000 The Democrats have the will to power.

00:34:04.000 We just need the will to win.

00:34:06.000 This is not like Massachusetts.

00:34:08.000 This is not the state of Washington.

00:34:11.000 This is not Maryland, where the Democrats have like super majorities.

00:34:14.000 The Republicans have a super majority in a deep red state.

00:34:20.000 In fact, one of the five most Republican states in the country.

00:34:25.000 If we do nothing on a silver platter, you say, Joseph Robinette Biden, hello, sir.

00:34:32.000 Here is a free electoral vote.

00:34:35.000 If you do nothing.

00:34:37.000 If you act, you say, just kidding.

00:34:41.000 The country comes down sometimes to these fringe, slight moments and tests of character.
