00:01:23.000 Joining us now is Susan Crabtree from Real Clear Politics, White House correspondent.
00:01:28.000 Susan, welcome back to the program.
00:01:29.000 Thanks so much for having me.
00:01:31.000 Susan, I want to play this piece of tape here of the Palm Beach sheriff basically dismissing the idea, well, everyone did their job and there wasn't as secure of a perimeter because he's not the president.
00:01:42.000 Very kind of similar type tones to Butler, but obviously a little bit more.
00:01:47.000 They're almost, they want us to celebrate the fact that there's not a secure perimeter.
00:01:51.000 Let's play cut two.
00:01:53.000 How was this able to happen?
00:01:55.000 And for future records, is there any up security on the golf course?
00:01:59.000 Well, you got to understand the golf course is surrounded by shrubbery.
00:02:02.000 So when somebody gets into the shrubbery, they're pretty much out of sight.
00:02:05.000 All right.
00:02:06.000 And at this level that he is at right now, he's not the sitting president.
00:02:11.000 If he was, we would have had this entire golf course around him.
00:02:14.000 But because he's not, the security is limited to the areas that the Secret Service deems possible.
00:02:21.000 So, I would imagine that the next time he comes at a golf course, there'll probably be a little bit more people around the perimeter, but the Secret Service did exactly what they should have done.
00:02:31.000 They provided exactly what the protection should have been, and their agent did a fantastic job.
00:02:37.000 Susan, what changes, if any, happened to his detail after the first assassination attempt when he was shot?
00:02:43.000 Well, they totally revamped it.
00:02:46.000 They were treating him as a former president, as we all know now, and it was as if he were similar threat level.
00:02:56.000 President Obama would get or attract our Jimmy Carter.
00:03:00.000 And that makes absolutely zero sense.
00:03:02.000 So we've since then had a lot more assets.
00:03:06.000 I'm told by my sources in the Secret Service community who were just coming forth, very, it was very nice to have so many people to talk to, but it was extremely busy yesterday.
00:03:17.000 They're saying that his, that it's just below, it can't really say it's equal to a sitting president.
00:03:24.000 It's not equal.
00:03:26.000 Otherwise, like, like Rick Bradshaw said, the sheriff there said it would have been surrounding there would have been streets that were shut down around the golf course.
00:03:37.000 There would have been a much more fortified perimeter, but the problem.
00:03:42.000 What I'm hearing here is there's a balance to be struck and part of this has to do with Donald Trump.
00:03:48.000 He did get counter snipers at Mar-a-Lago.
00:03:51.000 The problem, there was a big problem with Mar-a-Lago and his Donald Trump detail itself for years has been asking for more assets for Mar-a-Lago.
00:04:01.000 They finally gave him 4 million, but they did it piecemeal over time, which is a normal thing that the Secret Service does that's irritating to the people requesting the additional assets.
00:04:11.000 Because if they're threat-based, they should be quickly done as quickly as possibly installed.
00:04:18.000 But since Butler, my questions are exactly, is he getting a counter-surveillance unit?
00:04:25.000 We don't know.
00:04:26.000 I think he does have the counter-assault team that the president gets.
00:04:33.000 Obviously, he doesn't have the military assets like Marine One and Air Force One and a military aid.
00:04:39.000 But I want a definite breakdown.
00:04:42.000 I'm told that it's definitely shy of the sitting president, but how they fortify these golf courses that Trump, you know, wants, he owns, and he wants to go to with a bit of, you know, interaction with people.
00:04:55.000 He was there with Steve Whitkoff, his good friend and donor.
00:04:59.000 You know, it's kind of a balance to be struck.
00:05:01.000 After this, I just wrote a piece this morning saying, you know, there has to be a reckoning.
00:05:05.000 Between the Trump campaign and the Secret Service on how they want to operate, how freely they're going to allow him to operate from here on out.
00:05:14.000 Because we've had two assassination attempts in two months.
00:05:18.000 You need to change what you're doing.
00:05:20.000 And my question is, they've been so, you know, within the Secret Service, I'm hearing that they are launching this drone program after You know, not doing it since 2016, very resistant to any change at the Secret Service.
00:05:35.000 And the technology, like Dan Bongino likes to say, it's yesterday's technology tomorrow.
00:05:40.000 They're really bad on embracing new technology.
00:05:43.000 And they're now, though, Ron Rowe, the acting director, has promised that he's going to institute drones and he wants to get the program up and running.
00:05:51.000 So was there a drone that helped them find that Ruth, Ryan Ruth in the bushes there with an AK-47.
00:06:01.000 I do have that question in Secret Service.
00:06:03.000 They haven't responded yet.
00:06:04.000 So what I'm not totally clear of is why does Donald Trump not have the same protection as Kamala Harris?
00:06:11.000 That is a decision that can be made by Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, correct?
00:06:15.000 He's a former president, opposition political leader.
00:06:18.000 And so basically, Kamala Harris puts out a nice press release, but does nothing to actually protect him.
00:06:24.000 They could choose to give him the same level of protection.
00:06:27.000 Is that correct?
00:06:28.000 No, I think that it's whether that decision on the Biden administration is whether to give them or not protection, and then the Secret Service decides what level.
00:06:39.000 And Kimberly Cheadle, who resigned in disgrace, in part because of this decision, treated him as a former president and didn't give him, I think, I think he has more than Kamala has right now.
00:06:53.000 Wait, the president can't override the Secret Service and say, give him more agents?
00:06:57.000 No, he can request it.
00:06:58.000 There is actually a bicameral organization that determines that in addition to Biden, that actually Speaker Johnson is involved in as well.
00:07:09.000 But yes, Biden says, whether you get it or not, and the Secret Service says, we always says that it's the level that you're provided is threat-based, but when it came to Donald Trump, he broke the mold.
00:07:23.000 You know, he has tens of thousands of people.
00:07:24.000 He's not a former president like President Obama, that the threat level decreases when you're out of office.
00:07:30.000 He's the first person running, president, former president running, again, challenging a sitting president.
00:07:36.000 In our lifetime now, of course, the sitting vice president.
00:07:39.000 But yeah, I mean, he broke the mold.
00:07:41.000 Donald Trump broke the mold.
00:07:42.000 So now we're trying to assess where he is.
00:07:46.000 My sources said just shy of what the sitting president gets.
00:07:50.000 But in this situation, the sitting president is in a weird situation.
00:07:53.000 He's not as active as much as he was.
00:07:55.000 Just, you know, a month and a half ago.
00:07:58.000 So it's a bizarre situation.
00:08:01.000 They're not being forthcoming.
00:08:02.000 I asked them this yesterday.
00:08:05.000 When he goes to the golf course, does Donald Trump get the same assets as President Biden did when he went to Wilmington, when he played at Wilmington?
00:08:16.000 They have not answered that question.
00:08:17.000 I think that's a key question.
00:08:19.000 So tell us more about the agent who spotted him in the tree line.
00:08:23.000 Well, we know only that they spotted the barrel of the AK-47 and they started shooting.
00:08:29.000 Now, I always hesitate to say who shot first.
00:08:35.000 The local law enforcement agents, the sheriffs there, definitely said they gave Great kudos to the Secret Service for, for shooting first and going after this guy.
00:08:47.000 The guy fled, but you know, other people within the Secret Service community, not me, this is not coming from me, said, well, you know, he didn't, he didn't hit his shot.
00:08:56.000 So kudos for being more aggressive and, and identifying him quicker than what happened in Butler.
00:09:05.000 So there's progress there.
00:09:07.000 But you know, they're faulting him within the Secret Service for not making the shot and then allowing him to run away.
00:09:14.000 So, yeah, it's a mixed bag.
00:09:17.000 And I want to know, you know, why they didn't have more security.
00:09:21.000 Now, the reason what I'm hearing from sources is that it was considered OTR, an OTR event.
00:09:28.000 And that's, you know, short in journalism, we like say off the record, right?
00:09:32.000 It's similar kind of connotation with the Secret Service, but just means it wasn't on the schedule.
00:09:38.000 Okay, so it's like an impromptu event that they kind of like have to,
00:09:43.000 it's not like a pickup team, that's the same detail that always protects them
00:09:47.000 and train together, but they kind of have to operate more loosely.
00:09:51.000 And they don't plan ahead, like when they do a rally or an event.
00:09:55.000 So what Dan Bongino and some of my sources said to me, Dan Bongino said it on X,
00:10:01.000 and my sources were confirming it to me, The...
00:10:05.000 He's losing the ability to be unpredictable because he's always playing golf at the same golf courses.
00:10:12.000 So you can't treat it as an OTR anymore where it's loose security.
00:10:18.000 You've got to either not do it at all, which I'm sure is not an option for Donald Trump, or you have to plan ahead a little bit more and treat it as And fortify it in a better way, because the Secret Service is definitely OTR events.
00:10:35.000 It's like when Jill Biden and Joe Biden went to the Waffle House after the debate the next morning.
00:10:42.000 That was kind of a looser OTR event.
00:10:45.000 They take the risk, you know, the president takes the risk.
00:10:50.000 Are you ready to lose weight, but not sure where to start?
00:10:52.000 I understand.
00:10:52.000 I was right where you are two years ago.

00:11:57.000 Dr. Asher Lucas, great American.
00:11:58.000 Check it out.
00:11:59.000 MyPhDWeightLoss.com.
00:12:03.000 So Susan, the culture within the Secret Service, are people still reeling from Butler and also this?
00:12:10.000 Just to be honest, as a citizen, I have no faith in the U.S.
00:12:13.000 Secret Service to keep Donald Trump safe.
00:12:14.000 I know this one individual agent acted well.
00:12:18.000 But again, these are two assassination attempts where this shooter got within 300 to 500 yards.
00:12:22.000 We saw what happened in Butler, which was a travesty.
00:12:25.000 What is the culture within the Secret Service right now?
00:12:27.000 Oh, I think that they're concerned.
00:12:30.000 I've talked to sources with the Secret Service who are worried that they have lowered their standards in recent years and they're not even training as much with their guns.
00:12:42.000 They're not even doing as thorough a polygraph.
00:12:46.000 They don't test for mental health issues.
00:12:49.000 I have several Secret Service sources who are worried about an insider threat.
00:12:54.000 They say that only, you know, they really only think that 25% of the Secret Service is fully capable of what they tout
00:13:02.000 themselves to be.
00:13:03.000 That's a minority opinion, of course, you know, not everyone's going to ascribe to that,
00:13:10.000 but these people were in positions to see the application process. So I honestly believe
00:13:18.000 that there's been a lowering of standards in the Secret Service.
00:13:22.000 And the threat is so great to have two.
00:13:25.000 It's so tragic and unbelievable to me that we're in this place right now, that we have two assassination attempts in two months against Donald Trump.
00:13:36.000 And there's this Iranian threat bearing down that they make no secrets of it.
00:13:41.000 And there's this granular report that came out from Senator Grassley about this guy, Asif Merchant, that they, Pakistani guy with ties to Iran that they arrested the day for the FBI arrested day for the Butler rally.
00:13:55.000 And then he's off in previously in Iran for two weeks with the same meeting with a safe house with and talking about funding with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard for and you know, they describe it in granular detail.
00:14:10.000 Oh, are we going to use a pistol?
00:14:11.000 Are we going to use a rifle?
00:14:14.000 Is it going to be inside rally or is it going to be an outside rally?
00:14:21.000 What I find deeply disturbing is that this guy, Asif Merchant, was assessing the Secret Service assets attached to Donald Trump at these rallies while they were still considering him A former president.
00:14:39.000 So it opened up the vulnerability when it comes to the Iranians.
00:14:42.000 Now, whether these two guys, Thomas Crooks, 20 year old Thomas Crooks, and now Ryan Roth, whether they have any type of foreign influence.
00:14:53.000 We know Ryan Roth has a foreign influence.
00:14:56.000 You can't rule that out.
00:14:58.000 I like to see the FBI try to rule that out like they did with Thomas Crooks right away.
00:15:02.000 I wasn't really satisfied with their answers because The FBI only has done one thorough briefing.
00:15:08.000 Well, it wasn't even thorough with reporters about, and they said they came to the conclusion with Crooks that he didn't have any, he was acting alone and he didn't have any foreign influence.
00:15:19.000 Well, you know, tell me about his travel.
00:15:22.000 Tell me, did he travel to New York?
00:15:24.000 Because this guy asked if Merchant was in New York recruiting hitmen for Donald, to assassinate Donald Trump.
00:15:32.000 It's right there in the proper.
00:15:34.000 That Grassley got a hold of.
00:15:35.000 It's pretty disturbing.
00:15:37.000 And then, you know, we all know that I got another source last night sending me a video that the Ayatollah Khomeini posted on his website that is an animation video of a robot drone taking, taking out Donald Trump while he was golfing.
00:15:56.000 It is animated.
00:15:57.000 Okay.
00:15:58.000 But.
00:16:00.000 They make no bones about what their goal is.
00:16:03.000 And we know in granular detail that they were doing it.
00:16:06.000 They were plotting it.
00:16:08.000 So these guys could be just, you know, kind of strange individuals.
00:16:14.000 They both seem a little bit off, you know, mentally.
00:16:17.000 But we know with Ryan Roth now that there is Iranian connections.
00:16:21.000 I mean, certainly there's a Ukraine connection.
00:16:24.000 He was upset that he wanted to save Ukraine has delusions of grandeur about his role in doing
00:16:30.000 so, was recruiting Afghan fighters to go to a fight in Ukraine, because
00:16:36.000 somehow that would be better because the Taliban is so terrible and as condemned,
00:16:41.000 I've, you know, obviously I've heard that too, from, from people that we left behind
00:16:46.000 and that were our assets in Afghanistan now under Taliban rules.
00:16:50.000 So, but it was weird that the way that he was so instrumental and he was so confident about trying to recruit people.
00:16:58.000 And I took screenshots of his, his X.com account before they shut it down last night.
00:17:04.000 And he was even talking about sending some of these Afghan fighters to Taiwan to fortify Taiwan against China.
00:17:11.000 I mean, I don't know.
00:17:13.000 I want to know way more about that.
00:17:15.000 I want to know more about that.
00:17:16.000 And Ryan was also in Washington, D.C.
00:17:21.000 Susan, keep up the great work, everyone.
00:17:22.000 Check out your work at RealClearPolitics.com.

00:18:33.000 Joining us now is Dr. Ben Carson, one of the most honorable men alive.
00:18:38.000 Welcome back to the program.
00:18:40.000 Thank you, Charlie.
00:18:40.000 Always good to be with you.
00:18:42.000 So Dr. Carson, lots to discuss here.
00:18:44.000 I want to just start with this.
00:18:45.000 I understand that the president asked you to host a faith event at Mar-a-Lago with pastors from around the country and really have you spearhead the faith effort for him.
00:18:55.000 Tell our audience about that and why you believe that people of faith and Christians should vote for Donald Trump.
00:19:00.000 Well, we are working on that.
00:19:02.000 Whether it will be at Mar-a-Lago or not, we haven't completely nailed down, but you'll be hearing more about that.
00:19:10.000 You know, our country, our founding document, the Declaration of Independence, says that our rights come from our Creator, a.k.a.
00:19:18.000 God.
00:19:20.000 So what people need to be thinking about is, do you like our country and the principles upon which it was founded?
00:19:29.000 Life, liberty, pursuit of happiness.
00:19:32.000 Who running for office runs on a platform of life and who on a platform of death?
00:19:41.000 Who runs on a platform of liberty leading the life that you want to lead versus mandates about this, that, and the other?
00:19:53.000 Who runs on a platform of you can be all that you want to be.
00:19:59.000 It's up to you versus you're a victim.
00:20:04.000 It shouldn't be hard to figure out who I'm talking about.
00:20:08.000 And what we want people to do is to just start thinking for themselves.
00:20:13.000 Don't be manipulated.
00:20:14.000 Don't be gaslighted.
00:20:16.000 Just believe what your eyes are telling you.
00:20:19.000 Believe what your ears are telling you.
00:20:20.000 Believe what your heart is telling you.
00:20:23.000 There is a reason that America ascended from obscurity to the pinnacle of the world in record time.
00:20:30.000 And it was not a coincidence.
00:20:33.000 And all you have to do is think back a few years to how you were doing, what your optimism level was, versus now.
00:20:45.000 And ask yourself, is that a coincidence?
00:20:48.000 Or is it a difference in the style of governing?
00:20:52.000 These are the things that are so important for the American people to realize.
00:20:56.000 And also this whole concept of somebody being anti-democratic.
00:21:03.000 The people who are saying that Trump is a danger to democracy, are they not the same people who are using the justice system to persecute their political enemies?
00:21:17.000 Are they not the same people who are trying to stifle freedom of speech?
00:21:26.000 Think about the things they're doing.
00:21:27.000 Are they not the same people who have the candidate for president who received not a single vote in the primaries?
00:21:37.000 So I wonder who it is that is really stifling democracy.
00:21:41.000 So, Dr. Carson, having worked in close proximity with President Trump as housing urban development and knowing him for quite some time, can you speak to what some Christians would say as personal grievances against President Trump?
00:21:56.000 They say that I can't possibly support him because he's a sinner, so on and so forth.
00:22:01.000 Can you address that head-on, Dr. Carson?
00:22:03.000 I'm sure you receive that quite a lot, and I think you're uniquely positioned to counter that.
00:22:09.000 Well, first of all, The only perfect person ever to live was Jesus and he was crucified.
00:22:16.000 So I'm not sure that any of us are in a position to be the judge and jury.
00:22:22.000 But there's a reason that we have these sophisticated brains.
00:22:26.000 For instance, if you had a very severe disease that could be cured by a very talented surgeon, would you rather have the surgeon who has poor bedside manner That's why we have a brain so we can figure those kinds of things out, looking at the big picture.
00:22:55.000 You have to really look at the policies.
00:22:59.000 Rhetoric and speech, that's what politicians do.
00:23:05.000 Politicians are very good at doing what is politically expedient.
00:23:10.000 Going around with their finger in the air, seeing which way the wind is blowing, and then changing to adapt to it.
00:23:18.000 That's not something that you're finding with Donald Trump.
00:23:21.000 Now, maybe to some people's consternation, maybe they want him to change, but he's not going to.
00:23:26.000 He's who he is.
00:23:28.000 And what he has done policy-wise has been extraordinarily beneficial for every segment of our society.
00:23:37.000 And those are the kinds of things that we should look at.
00:23:41.000 We can always work on personality issues later on.
00:23:43.000 now the issues later on.
00:23:45.000 Dr. Carson, I don't know the numbers off the top of my head, because I see them changing
00:23:49.000 constantly, but from what I understand, only half of Bible-believing, church-attending
00:23:54.000 Christians are registered to vote, and only half of those end up voting.
00:23:58.000 I'm sure you could correct me if that's wrong, but I think that's approximately correct.
00:24:01.000 Why is that the case?
00:24:03.000 Unfortunately, there have been many who have advocated staying out of the mix, that it's
00:24:10.000 all corrupt, and why get involved in something that is corrupt?
00:24:15.000 And what I would say to them is, one of the reasons it's corrupt is because good people don't get involved.
00:24:23.000 And if all the good people say, it's too bad, I don't want to get involved, who's left?
00:24:29.000 And whose policies will be the ones that govern our society?
00:24:33.000 So there is a real responsibility to get involved.
00:24:39.000 And also you have to think about your children and your grandchildren and all the people who are coming after us.
00:24:44.000 And then think about the fact that you are able to live in peace and freedom.
00:24:51.000 But that is not a given.
00:24:53.000 That is because there were people who preceded you, who were willing to sacrifice everything, including their lives, to give you these opportunities.
00:25:05.000 So why wouldn't we want to get involved?
00:25:11.000 And now looking at the second assassination attempt against Donald Trump, a friend of both of ours who, again, he was not shot at, but it definitely was an assassination attempt.
00:25:23.000 The spiritual darkness that is plaguing our land.
00:25:25.000 Dr. Carson, your reaction to Donald Trump yet again surviving an assassination attempt?
00:25:31.000 Well, I believe, and I've told him this for years, that God is using him I told him that when I was first running against him as president, that he was going to win.
00:25:41.000 Could God have a special place for him in trying to save our nation?
00:25:47.000 And I believe that to be the case.
00:25:49.000 He has the right temperament, the right personality.
00:25:52.000 You know, some people may not like it, but there comes a time when being the very nicest person that you can be, Just doesn't necessarily get the job done.
00:26:10.000 And like I said before, we can work on his personality later on.
00:26:15.000 God will work on his personality.
00:26:17.000 But right now we need leadership.
00:26:19.000 You think about all the things that are going on in the world right now that wouldn't necessarily be going on if we had strong leadership.
00:26:29.000 America has been the one to carry the banner of Our strength and integrity in the past.
00:26:37.000 And when we lower that banner, all kinds of things begin to crop up.
00:26:43.000 And there's domino effects.
00:26:46.000 You look at the fact that we backed off of Iran and allowed them to fill their coffers from their oil revenues.
00:26:57.000 What's the impact of that?
00:26:59.000 They will be speeded along the way to obtaining a nuclear weapon.
00:27:05.000 And when they get a nuclear weapon, they're going to use it on Israel.
00:27:09.000 They're not going to be restrained by the concept of mutual destruction, because they don't care if they're destroyed.
00:27:17.000 Because according to their philosophy, if you're a warrior on the side of righteousness, you go to heaven and you get 72 virgins.
00:27:26.000 So that's not a big deterrent for them whatsoever.
00:27:30.000 But we need the kind of leadership that understands that.
00:27:35.000 We need the kind of leadership that understands that if we use our liquid natural gas and supply Europe with what they need, it diminishes the power and the purse of Putin.
00:27:51.000 And those are the kinds of things that prevent the aggression that we're seeing there.
00:27:56.000 The moment that we're at, Dr. Carson, we need unity and we need peace and we need healing.
00:28:01.000 How do we get to a place of reconciliation here?
00:28:03.000 Because the temperature feels way too hot for normal Americans right now.
00:28:08.000 Well, you hear some people saying, let's stop some of the rhetoric about this person being an ex Hitler and destroying America if they're elected and maybe just focus on the policy and the policy differences.
00:28:26.000 What those are.
00:28:26.000 And that goes for both sides.
00:28:29.000 Both sides need to focus on the policy.
00:28:31.000 It's tempting to take jabs at your opponents and to try to denigrate them.
00:28:39.000 But really, what good does that do in the long run?
00:28:42.000 What we really need to do is talk about what makes the difference.
00:28:46.000 Kitchen table issues for the average American.
00:28:50.000 And I think that's one of the reasons that Donald Trump has seen such And increasing his support among some of the groups that traditionally did not support Republicans.
00:29:02.000 And I hope we will continue to really focus on those kitchen table issues that affect everybody every day.
00:29:13.000 Dr. Carson, please stay right there.
00:29:16.000 A lot more to get to.
00:29:17.000 And please, can you also just talk about the American Cornerstone Institute?
00:29:20.000 American Cornerstone Institute is a think tank slash do tank That focuses on the principles that made us into a great nation.
00:29:30.000 Faith, liberty, community, and life.
00:29:34.000 And we also have the Little Patriot program.
00:29:38.000 We call it the Inoculation to Indoctrination.
00:29:41.000 All free of charge, by the way, in the Executive Branch for America, which we do in conjunction with your Turning Point USA program.
00:29:50.000 And it's been wonderful to see the response for the young people in our universities across the country.

00:29:58.000 Looking forward to that, Dr. Carson.
00:30:00.000 And also check out his book, The Perilous Fight.

00:31:09.000 Dr. Carson, there is this news story here of Democrats that are working with pastors
00:31:17.000 to try to get Kamala Harris elected.
00:31:20.000 It's very difficult for me to understand and for me to kind of sympathize with that.
00:31:25.000 We need pastors and we need Christians to get on board for this fight, as you talk about in your book, the perilous fight overcoming our culture's war on the American family.
00:31:34.000 Dr. Ben Carson, speak about your book and talk about if we do not get Donald Trump elected,
00:31:39.000 this fight might even become more perilous.
00:31:41.000 Well, before I do that, I just want to say my wife wanted me to tell you
00:31:46.000 how much she enjoyed your conversation with the woke college students.
00:31:51.000 Thank you.
00:31:53.000 That was quite an experience, Dr. Carson.
00:31:55.000 I know you're used to being surrounded.
00:31:57.000 I was surrounded by 25 woke college kids.
00:32:00.000 That was something else.
00:32:01.000 So tell Candy, thank you.
00:32:02.000 And that means a lot to me.
00:32:04.000 So thank you.
00:32:05.000 Now, as far as the book is concerned, A Perilous Fight, people, of course, will recognize that phrase from our Star Spangled Banner.
00:32:13.000 We're in a perilous fight right now for the soul of our nation.
00:32:18.000 There are a lot of things going on, but basically there's an effort to form a one-world government.
00:32:27.000 The major obstacle for that is the United States of America.
00:32:31.000 Our values and principles do not make that possible.
00:32:36.000 Therefore, we cannot be overcome militarily.
00:32:38.000 You have to overcome us from within.
00:32:41.000 How do you do that?
00:32:42.000 You go to the basic building block of the society.
00:32:46.000 That is our families.
00:32:48.000 Our families are under severe attack.
00:32:51.000 Just witness the fact that whenever you're looking at television or a television series, you don't get very far into it before you're introduced to an alternative to the traditional nuclear family.
00:33:05.000 Making it not only acceptable, but even preferable.
00:33:09.000 Those are big issues in our culture right now.
00:33:14.000 And a young person growing up, how confused can you make someone?
00:33:19.000 You know, you may not be a girl and you may not be a boy.
00:33:23.000 Boys complaining and girls sports.
00:33:26.000 What is your pronoun?
00:33:27.000 Rather than reading, writing and arithmetic, so that you can be a competent member of society.
00:33:35.000 Those are huge things.
00:33:38.000 And both the liberal and the conservative think tanks both find that children raised in a traditional nuclear family do much better under all parameters than those who are raised outside of that structure.
00:33:54.000 So there must be something good about it and we need to go back and re-examine the things that were going on when our country was moving forward and compare those to the things that are going on which are moving our country backwards.
00:34:09.000 And one of the biggest issues, of course, is that we've tried to exclude God.
00:34:15.000 When our founding document says that He is the one from where our rights are derived, when we throw Him out, when we throw out the Ten Commandments, when we throw out any gauges for the sense of morality, what happens to a society like that when every man becomes his own measuring stick of what is moral and good?
00:34:36.000 You see the same kinds of things that we're seeing?
00:34:40.000 The massive crime and cruelty that's going on to our fellow man.
00:34:45.000 We've reached a point where instead of love your neighbor, our management is cancel your neighbor if they have a different yard sign.
00:34:54.000 That's not who we are as a nation.
00:34:56.000 That's not who we have been in the past.
00:34:58.000 And that is indeed what will destroy us if we don't wake up and recognize it fairly quickly.
00:35:05.000 Amen.
00:35:06.000 Dr. Carson, thank you for your leadership and your guidance and your wisdom.
00:35:10.000 Just a reminder, we have Dr. Ben Carson coming to Phoenix, Arizona for an amazing Turning Point Action event at Dream City Church on October 2nd.
00:35:19.000 Dr. Carson, we hope to really fill that out and to really make it big for you.
00:35:23.000 Hopefully we'll have thousands and thousands of people there.
00:35:26.000 And that is right before early voting in Arizona, Dr. Carson.
00:35:28.000 It will be a faith-centered event.
00:35:30.000 Really looking forward to seeing you there, Dr. Carson.
00:35:32.000 Thank you and God bless you.
00:35:33.000 And thank you for being courageous boys.
00:35:36.000 Thank you.
00:35:36.000 God bless you.
00:35:38.000 Thanks so much for listening.
00:35:38.000 Everybody email us as always freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:35:41.000 Thanks so much for listening and God bless.
