00:01:55.000 Doctor, great to see you.
00:01:56.000 Great to see you too.
00:01:57.000 Glad to be here.
00:01:58.000 What is Turning Point Academy Prep Year?
00:02:01.000 It is the culmination of what you and Dr. Hutz Hertzberg, Chief Education Officer, have been working on to prepare students for life, to be leaders, to have impact, and if they go on to college, to be ready to be influencers when they get there.
00:02:16.000 And so essentially what it is, and I want to get into the specifics, is that this is an opportunity not to go to four-year college, but to be a professional.
00:02:32.000 Is that correct?
00:02:33.000 That's right.
00:02:33.000 Training of the Mind, whole life transformation.
00:02:36.000 The program will include mentors that come in, like yourself, to help students understand economics from a biblical worldview perspective and how to read and process through the great writings of Western civilization in a way that has a biblical infusion of truth at the foundation of them.
00:02:51.000 Yeah, so walk through technically how this works.
00:02:54.000 So someone is going to – we already have people that have signed up, and people can check it out at turningpointacademy.com.
00:02:59.000 That's turningpointacademy.com.
00:03:01.000 They're going to – this is going to be in Fort Worth this year, correct?
00:03:04.000 That's right.
00:03:05.000 And we already have some people that have signed up, and they are going to do what exactly?
00:03:10.000 They move into dorms, and they're going to really create what college should be.
00:03:13.000 Yeah, but that would be a short – Yes.
00:03:29.000 experience on the outside is the way that their hearts and lives will be transformed.
00:03:32.000 There'll be a week-long modular training format where, from a classical education perspective, helping students learn with rhetoric, helping students learn in a collegial style of learning where they don't just listen from lecture content, but they actually learn to engage and to think.
00:03:48.000 And then, with virtue and wisdom, how to apply the truths that they're learning.
00:03:52.000 So yeah, talk more about that.
00:03:53.000 And also, talk about your background.
00:03:56.000 How did you lead to this?
00:03:57.000 You're a PhD.
00:03:58.000 You also played college football, which is awesome.
00:04:01.000 Your journey, tell our audience about this and why you I've been involved in Christian ministry for the better part of the last 25 years.
00:04:12.000 Prior to which, I did play football at Northwestern University, and I see you have a Big Ten representation back there.
00:04:18.000 I'm going to the Oregon Ducks-Northwestern game.
00:04:20.000 Oh, that's great.
00:04:21.000 That's great.
00:04:21.000 Those tickets were so expensive because they're retrofitting their field.
00:04:24.000 And I won't ask you who you're going to be for.
00:04:28.000 Probably the Ducks, but my mom did go to Northwestern.
00:04:30.000 Okay, fair enough.
00:04:31.000 So that experience, though, it was one where I learned myself to learn to engage with what it meant to stand for my faith.
00:04:38.000 So I went from there and got a Master's of Divinity, and not a PhD, but a doctorate in ministry, which is relevant for this program because of the application of truth to life.
00:04:47.000 And so as a part of this last 25 years of serving in ministry, mostly pastoral, I've also been in Christian education.
00:04:55.000 Just focused on teaching seniors in high school biblical worldview at a couple of different Christian schools, at a Bible college, a senior seminar, capstone classroom program context where it's so evident students need to learn to finish well so they can go be influencers right away.
00:05:11.000 Young leaders already leading in many ways.
00:05:14.000 Now, being prepared not just to go and sort of flail in the context of the ideologies that are being pumped out by some institutions, but to go and to flourish in what it means to be girded up in their faith and to influence others toward the ways of Christ.
00:05:29.000 Making America great again starts with making America healthy again.
00:05:33.000 Charlie Kirk here.
00:05:34.000 I lost 40 pounds with the PhD weight loss and nutrition program.
00:05:38.000 And two years later, I haven't gained a pound back.
00:05:40.000 I started the PhD weight loss program because I need to be healthy to keep up with my crazy schedule.
00:05:45.000 Most people start a weight loss program to get healthier.
00:05:48.000 So why is Big Pharma spending millions to convince you to use their weight loss injections that do just the opposite?
00:05:56.000 They have harmful side effects and lifelong dependency.
00:05:59.000 Take a natural approach that isn't connected to a big pharma bottom line.
00:06:03.000 PHD changes the way you think about food.
00:06:05.000 They custom design a plan that is simple and works with your schedule.
00:06:10.000 You'll learn to quiet cravings and finally release the unhealthy belly fat.
00:06:14.000 You won't be hungry and you'll never take medication.
00:06:17.000 Call 864-644-1900 to schedule your one-on-one consultation or visit myphdweightloss.com.
00:06:25.000 That is myphdweightloss.com, 864-644-1900.
00:06:31.000 Tell us more about what you would teach in that biblical worldview.
00:06:36.000 You were a teacher, a guest speaker, a seminar, as these were seniors in high school.
00:06:41.000 Talk about that more.
00:06:51.000 The perfect life and sacrificial death and resurrection from the dead of Christ.
00:06:56.000 That's so critical that they understand it's not just a general faith, a general belief.
00:07:01.000 There's specific tenets of the faith that are necessary.
00:07:04.000 And so from that standpoint, then moving to what do I do in response to the gospel?
00:07:10.000 How do I live?
00:07:11.000 How do I think?
00:07:12.000 What does marriage look like?
00:07:13.000 What does stewardship look like of the gifts that I've been given, also of the resources that I've been able to glean, of the talents and skills?
00:07:21.000 So all of that in addition to some of the more nuanced aspects of intellect, right?
00:07:27.000 The Bible makes it super clear, Charlie, super clear, that the beginning of knowledge and wisdom is the fear of the Lord.
00:07:34.000 It's the fear of the Lord, right?
00:07:35.000 And so to start there and to think, oh, I really don't need to go beyond here to get to where God wants me to go.
00:07:40.000 And so to help students understand, yes, let's bring all of the intellect of the world in.
00:07:44.000 Let us reason together, it says in the book of Isaiah, right?
00:07:47.000 Bring it all in here and then watch how it is redefined and ultimately pushed aside by the truths that come from Scripture.
00:07:47.000 That's right.
00:07:47.000 That's right.
00:07:54.000 So you did that for 20 years, you said, about?
00:07:56.000 In large part, yes, but then in Christian education, as a guest lecturer, as an overseer of interns for undergrad and master's students, yes.
00:08:03.000 What did you see that changed over the years when you taught this to students?
00:08:08.000 Yeah, the lack of biblical literacy.
00:08:10.000 From Christian students?
00:08:12.000 From Christian students, and oftentimes in Christian schools.
00:08:14.000 Number one question, always answered, always answered with a no.
00:08:18.000 Have you been taught how to study the truth for yourself?
00:08:23.000 Negative, negative, negative across the board.
00:08:25.000 Even with some students that are actually in college, in Bible colleges as a guest lecturer or in a senior seminar context.
00:08:33.000 And so it's a great opportunity to help the students that apply.
00:08:36.000 And some of these students are just the best representation in certain categories of excellence.
00:08:42.000 One student that's applied and been accepted at 33 on the ACT.
00:08:46.000 Another student, two students already accepted at well-known institutions across the country with scholarship money.
00:08:51.000 They're putting that on pause so that they can come prepare to go use that education to the best of its ability.
00:08:58.000 And this is what college should be at the core.
00:09:02.000 So, again, this is turningpointacademy.com, and Turning Point Academy is doing so much great work.
00:09:06.000 But there is an immediate kind of call to action because we have a deadline, essentially, right?
00:09:14.000 Yeah, it is.
00:09:15.000 It's approaching.
00:09:16.000 And this is the most unique opportunity that a student, especially a student that wants to go be a leader, Could have.
00:09:21.000 Because of generous donors, building on the foundation of Turning Point Academy where we have the Educator Summit coming up July 10th through the 13th for all educators across the globe.
00:09:30.000 Great opportunity.
00:09:31.000 You can see more there.
00:09:31.000 Go to our website.
00:09:32.000 But this opportunity is time sensitive because we've had generous donors donate the equivalent of $20,000 scholarships for every student that's accepted.
00:09:48.000 Yeah.
00:09:48.000 The students that get accepted, they'll pay $1,000 deposit fee just to let us know that they're seriously committed after they go through the intervention process.
00:09:55.000 That's incredible.
00:09:56.000 And so I want to go back to something you said, and I'm sure that Turning Point Prep here will dive into this.
00:10:01.000 Have you been taught how to learn the truth?
00:10:04.000 Can you say that again and contextualize that more, please?
00:10:07.000 Right.
00:10:07.000 So in seminary context, in Bible training context, it's called hermeneutics.
00:10:12.000 How to get at the truth.
00:10:13.000 Everybody has access to the truth, but it's important to learn how to study the truth.
00:10:17.000 So that I don't bring my...
00:10:17.000 Why?
00:10:24.000 We are overrun right now with people quoting from the Bible out in culture saying, oh, this is Jesus, this is truth.
00:10:31.000 and they're really not representing the truth of Jesus at all.
00:10:34.000 They're representing what they thought culture Instead of that, let's push culture aside.
00:10:42.000 Let's let the Scriptures speak for themselves.
00:10:44.000 And then let the Scriptures define culture, which is so much of what you do and what you have done with Turning Point in many, many regards.
00:10:50.000 So, hermeneutics, how to study the Bible.
00:10:53.000 Let me learn, step by step, simple.
00:10:56.000 It's not studying Hebrew.
00:10:57.000 It's not studying Greek.
00:10:59.000 But there are simple, God-centered ways, not people-centered ways, to learn to study the Bible.
00:11:03.000 One of the methods is just look.
00:11:05.000 Learn, live.
00:11:06.000 Look at the text, see what the author is saying to the original audience, learn from the scriptures based on what it objectively says, and then let's figure out how to live it out.
00:11:15.000 And so let's apply that then to, would you say that most students coming into Prep Year have had a Christian education of some sort?
00:11:26.000 Absolutely.
00:11:27.000 Absolutely.
00:11:27.000 They are...
00:11:32.000 Some are worship leaders at their churches or in their context.
00:11:36.000 Some are already super skilled in the area of graphic design and photography, etc.
00:11:42.000 All of them have a testimony of how the gospel of Christ has already impacted their lives.
00:11:48.000 Many of them already have begun to lead in spiritual context on their campuses or in their homeschool context, and now they're just eager for somebody to come alongside them to help them grow in what they've done.
00:11:59.000 You wouldn't believe this.
00:12:00.000 One of the students we learned through the interview process, she had just written a document to the local governor to challenge the A 30-page document, well written, presented it.
00:12:18.000 So we get on this interview and then she says, well, I just got back from this event, right?
00:12:22.000 What was it?
00:12:23.000 A sports event?
00:12:24.000 No.
00:12:24.000 A local?
00:12:24.000 She's standing for important things in our culture for Christ.
00:12:30.000 The world is waking up to the power of gold.
00:12:33.000 National banks are scrambling to secure it.
00:12:35.000 According to the World Gold Council, central banks added 1,000 tons of gold in 2024, the third straight year of net gold buying.
00:12:44.000 They understand what many investors don't.
00:12:47.000 Gold is real money.
00:12:48.000 Unlike paper currency, gold's value doesn't disappear with inflation, reckless government spending, or market crashes.
00:12:56.000 Now Noble Gold Investments makes it easy for you to claim your share.
00:13:00.000 As our new administration works to reverse the economic chaos of the past, The world is turning to gold.
00:13:26.000 Shouldn't you be looking into doing that too?
00:13:33.000 The end result success would be after nine months of Turning Point Academy prep year.
00:13:37.000 Students will have been thoroughly exposed to what it looks like to walk with Christ because of a biblical understanding of prayer life and spiritual pursuits.
00:13:45.000 They will be involved in what it means to also go and serve in the community in various contexts.
00:13:51.000 They'll take trips to the capital of the state that we're in.
00:13:55.000 We'll take trips to public office.
00:13:56.000 And at the end, they'll be fortified in their understanding of biblical worldview in a way that equips them to walk into a myriad of different opportunities, whether it's military, whether it's entrepreneurship in the marketplace, whether it's going to focus on preparing to be a business.
00:14:13.000 Yeah, you know, the biggest problem facing Oftentimes marketed as something that it used to be, that it no longer is, right?
00:14:38.000 Something that's going to help students understand how to think properly.
00:14:43.000 And I wouldn't suggest that that's what it is.
00:14:45.000 I just remember sitting at this incredible institution, undergrad, receiving class or lecture, and the professor espouses this content.
00:14:53.000 And I'm a freshman, and I thought, oh, he's telling us these facts.
00:14:56.000 I'm taking notes.
00:14:56.000 And I raised my hand.
00:14:57.000 asked the question and I asked They're theories.
00:15:07.000 I had no more questions.
00:15:09.000 Because I thought, I want to hear facts.
00:15:11.000 I want to hear data that is true and time-tested.
00:15:13.000 I don't want to hear theories.
00:15:14.000 I can go read about those on my own as I so choose.
00:15:16.000 I want the information that's necessary.
00:15:18.000 So that now is, I would say, one of the biggest divides.
00:15:22.000 Is the data, the information that's being presented, is it fact?
00:15:26.000 Or is it theory, ideological, and from culture, and essentially from man?
00:15:31.000 Whereas classical education, foundation, information, moving on to the middle stage, which is understanding, moving to virtue and wisdom.
00:15:40.000 Which education, I've heard you say, education needs to move into that.
00:15:44.000 Now, public education is saying that they don't extend virtue and wisdom, but they are trying to infuse.
00:15:52.000 With the ideologies, a way in which it's applied.
00:15:54.000 So we've got a great partner in our host at Fort Worth.
00:15:58.000 And talk more about that.
00:16:00.000 You couldn't have a better first-year start because the leaders, Dr. Dockery and at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, so many like-minded leaders there, the provost and the dean of students, great leaders that are going to help us just by helping the environment be created and to create a means through which students might find another one of the pathways, which is academia.
00:16:21.000 Where they go and to be influencers.
00:16:23.000 Maybe they're not a lawyer, but they go into the academia context and get degrees that will have helpful payoff, not just for what they benefit from financially, but how they can impact the culture.
00:16:33.000 And they'll also be exposed to the civic virtues as well from a biblical perspective, correct?
00:16:40.000 Why is it that self-government and free speech are biblical?
00:16:44.000 Talk about that as well.
00:16:47.000 On turningpointacademy.com, there are resources for young students and older students alike to understand the Constitution, to understand the Bill of Rights, to walk through economics.
00:16:58.000 And our leader, Jennifer Burns, the director of academics, she's laid out a great set of resources.
00:17:04.000 Well, when these students get into the prep year program, they're going to walk through They'll understand that as you related to free speech.
00:17:14.000 You chatted a little bit about that just recently.
00:17:16.000 And to understand that even from Exodus, for instance, everybody knows the story of Exodus where the Israelites were freed from slavery in Egypt.
00:17:26.000 Everybody thinks it's about them being treated poorly, which that did matter to God's heart.
00:17:31.000 But the most redundant, the most thorough expression of concern that God had is that they weren't free.
00:17:38.000 To worship Him as He had prescribed.
00:17:40.000 And so, yes, we will help students understand the importance of having the right to free speech, having the right to gather freedom freely, and to express worship to God in the ways that He described.
00:17:51.000 It is God's heart for humanity and for His people to live in a free society.
00:18:00.000 Tyranny is not in God's plan for His people.
00:18:05.000 Hey everybody, Charlie Kirk here.
00:18:07.000 Brand new year, brand new opportunities to change the world for the better.
00:18:10.000 It's easier than you might think.
00:18:11.000 You can save babies by providing ultrasounds with Preborn.
00:18:15.000 Together with the Sanctity of Human Life Month, we're going to save 35,000 babies to show the world that not only do we believe life is precious, but we're going to do something about it.
00:18:24.000 Your gift to Preborn will give a girl the truth about what's happening in her body so that she can make the right choice.
00:18:29.000 What better way to start this new year than to join us to save babies?
00:18:33.000 And $28 a month will save a baby a month all year long.
00:18:37.000 A $15,000 gift will provide a complete ultrasound machine that will save thousands of babies for years and years to come.
00:18:43.000 It will also save moms from a lifetime of pain and regret.
00:18:47.000 I am a donor to this organization, and you should be too.

00:18:58.000 That is charliekirk.com and click on the preborn banner.
00:19:01.000 I'm a donor.
00:19:02.000 You should be too.
00:19:03.000 CharlieKirk.com, pre-born band.
00:19:08.000 Talk more about what a model day would be in a Turning Point Academy prep year.
00:19:15.000 That's great.
00:19:15.000 The students are going to be in a cohort format, so they'll be on this campus in this retreat center-like context, and they'll wake up in the morning.
00:19:22.000 It'll be mostly classroom context in the morning, where there'll be an expert that comes in for the given week to focus on content, not just delivery, but content exchange, helping the students work through how to apply what Yep.
00:19:39.000 Yep.
00:19:39.000 afternoon where it'll focus more on experience and we'll get out and there'll be physical challenges where we do hikes together.
00:19:46.000 Nothing too extreme.
00:19:48.000 Just helping students understand that this is a whole life perspective of the gospel impacting someone's life.
00:19:52.000 So they'll go on hikes.
00:19:53.000 We'll go visit different museums and different things like that.
00:19:57.000 We're going to come to AmericaFest in December, and that'll cap off the end of the year.
00:20:01.000 But that's generally what a day looks like.
00:20:04.000 And then in the evening, there'll be some time.
00:20:05.000 They will do some work.
00:20:06.000 They'll do some reading in the evening, and they'll have lots of time to interact with one another in their cohort context.
00:20:12.000 At Southwestern Theological Seminary, Baptist Seminary.
00:20:15.000 The facility has a swimming pool.
00:20:17.000 They have a fitness center.
00:20:19.000 And so almost 200 acres of property there.
00:20:22.000 So you get the kind of college amenities.
00:20:24.000 That's right.
00:20:25.000 In an incredibly intentional context.
00:20:27.000 Super safe, right?
00:20:28.000 If I'm a parent sending my kid off to a place I've never been to before, super safe.
00:20:32.000 The environment there is everything a parent could want and more.
00:20:36.000 And it will also lead itself to what college should be, which means partnership.
00:20:41.000 And talk about some of the instructors.
00:20:44.000 You yourself will be presenting quite a lot.
00:20:47.000 And I can't think of almost any other college where they'll get this kind of singular instruction because the class sizes, quote-unquote, will not be hundreds of people.
00:20:56.000 No, no.
00:20:57.000 It'll certainly be under 100.
00:20:58.000 And this first year, it'll probably be closer to 30 to 40. Which is amazing.
00:21:02.000 You think about the value proposition for a student.
00:21:04.000 It's incredible, right?
00:21:06.000 The intentionality, the ability to interact with the mentors, not just in that context, but also, Lord willing, long term.
00:21:13.000 And so that exchange is going to be super valuable, in addition to the students learning to take what they learn and take it back to where they go to next.
00:21:22.000 Yeah, so let's talk more about, just for a second here, equipping disciples, because that really is the goal.
00:21:29.000 And what would you say are some of the, not just approaches, the hermeneutical ones, But also, just from a theological perspective, some of the things that you've learned, and I know you touched on this, but some errors that you want to try to write at this work you're doing at Turning Point Academy.
00:21:47.000 Yeah, you know, the Apostle Paul makes some things super clear, and in parts in the book of Acts, and in some of Luke's writings, but there's this tension that exists.
00:21:58.000 And the tension is, am I going to choose to please man?
00:22:03.000 Or am I going to choose to please God?
00:22:05.000 In Acts 5. Yeah, that's right.
00:22:07.000 And also in Romans 12 and several other places, right?
00:22:11.000 And so as it relates to that, students are going to understand there's some things that God not only asks, not only invites, but He commands these things of us.
00:22:20.000 And then He says, you know, you can't do both in Galatians 1.10.
00:22:25.000 You can't please man and please God.
00:22:28.000 I love that.
00:22:29.000 Caveat.
00:22:29.000 Unless man wants what God wants.
00:22:32.000 And then that's how you can get your twofer.
00:22:33.000 But that's not up to me.
00:22:35.000 It's up to me to just stand for what God says I to stand for.
00:22:37.000 So helping students understand what it means to live for courage and Bill Federer and yourself and people like Erwin Lutzer as well.
00:22:45.000 Phenomenal.
00:22:47.000 And Dr. Hertzberg as well.
00:22:49.000 Dr. Hertzberg, absolutely for sure.
00:22:51.000 time-tested truth-tellers with humility and strength and grace all wrapped up in one packet.
00:22:57.000 So I would say that's what makes it distinctive.
00:22:58.000 It's not just information being delivered, but it's with courage and clarity, which is another thing that Paul says, just make open statements of the truth.
00:23:07.000 Make open statements.
00:23:08.000 I've never heard anyone say that before.
00:23:14.000 Yeah, it's Paul's heart because he's concerned.
00:23:17.000 Where did Paul say that?
00:23:18.000 He says it in 2 Corinthians 4, verse 3-4.
00:23:23.000 And in his first book to the church in Corinth, he says, don't come with wisdom and knowledge of man.
00:23:31.000 Why?
00:23:32.000 There's something at stake.
00:23:33.000 Because if you don't choose to proclaim the gospel of Christ and Jesus Christ resurrected, then you have the risk of teaching people to follow you and avoiding following God.
00:23:45.000 Because then the power now is about me, and it's not.
00:23:48.000 I'm going to live and die.
00:23:49.000 That was Moses' great sin.
00:23:50.000 Yeah, that's right.
00:23:52.000 Because he thought he could actually turn the rock into water.
00:23:56.000 So, okay, that's amazing.
00:23:58.000 That's turningpointacademy.com.
00:24:00.000 And so the people can apply right now.
00:24:04.000 They can.
00:24:05.000 They can.
00:24:05.000 There's a three-step process.
00:24:07.000 Yeah, walk through that, please.
00:24:08.000 On the website, it walks right through at the bottom.
00:24:10.000 When you go to turningpointacademy.com forward slash prep year, you scroll down to the bottom.
00:24:16.000 I've given you all the content, so just get right down to it and get to the first step, which is to fill out an interest form.
00:24:21.000 But time is running short because the spaces are filling up and we don't have forever.
00:24:25.000 We just want to solidify and start moving forward.
00:24:27.000 And it's this September.
00:24:29.000 This fall.
00:24:30.000 Fall 2025.
00:24:31.000 Because of generous donors.
00:24:32.000 Generous donors have said, we want this to happen.
00:24:34.000 We want it to happen now.
00:24:35.000 And so we say, yes, of course, we want this to happen too.
00:24:38.000 So they go to phase two.
00:24:40.000 They can go right to phase two right now.
00:24:42.000 And they can fill out the application and then send off their reference forms.
00:24:46.000 After which, we will set them up for an interview, and the process will get going from there.
00:24:50.000 I will say that what you've put together and the team has put together at Turning Point Academy, this will be far more life-changing than just another year at a college.
00:24:59.000 You'll dive deep into these ideas.
00:25:00.000 You'll come out as a sharp, biblical citizen.
00:25:04.000 And it will take some work too, right?
00:25:06.000 It will.
00:25:06.000 Yeah, it will.
00:25:07.000 It's not a lazy program.
00:25:08.000 It's not just come and sit by the poolside.
00:25:11.000 But it's going to be – and it's not just going to be academically engaging.
00:25:15.000 It's going to engage their hearts.
00:25:16.000 It's going to challenge some of their preconceptions.
00:25:18.000 Yeah, it will.
00:25:19.000 And provoke them towards the higher things and the ultimate purpose.
00:25:23.000 That's right.
00:25:24.000 Well, we're super excited, Dr. Gooch.
00:25:25.000 Any final thoughts here?
00:25:27.000 And thank you for joining the team about education or what we're trying to do at Turning Point Academy.
00:25:31.000 It's great to be a part of the team.
00:25:33.000 And I would just say, go to turningpointacademy.com forward slash prep year.
00:25:38.000 You hear that, everybody?
00:25:39.000 Do that right now.
00:25:40.000 And apply.
00:25:41.000 Yeah, you won't find a better opportunity.
00:25:42.000 And the scholarships won't last forever.
00:25:45.000 So get in on it and make sure that you get the opportunity.
00:25:48.000 So right now, just so you hear it, if you are a high school senior.
00:25:52.000 18 to 20 years old.
00:25:53.000 Oh, okay.
00:25:53.000 Or if you maybe you're not.
00:25:55.000 You may have graduated last year and you may have realized that there isn't a great option you're excited about.
00:25:59.000 Come.
00:26:00.000 We'll help you get it figured out.
00:26:01.000 And it's super affordable.
00:26:01.000 And you might be just drifting, or you might just kind of be wondering, this is pretty, it's an amazing opportunity, right?
00:26:07.000 That you could go in Fort Worth, Texas, and combine foundational classical, Christian, and civic curriculum with immersive skill-based environment.
00:26:17.000 I mean, that's as good as it gets.
00:26:19.000 Yeah, I would say so.
00:26:20.000 Is there anything like this in the country?
00:26:22.000 There's nothing exactly like this.
00:26:24.000 And even if someone created it, what hasn't happened is it hasn't been created.
00:26:28.000 For a scholarship exchange.
00:26:30.000 For free.
00:26:31.000 Yeah, I mean, I think about it like this idea of a prep year, and this could get really big.
00:26:36.000 I mean, this could get thousands of students that...
00:26:41.000 And it is coming to Illinois next fall.
00:26:46.000 That's right.
00:26:47.000 That's right.
00:26:48.000 And so it's already lined up, contract signed, committed to work with our partners at Judson University with Dr. Kroom there.
00:26:54.000 Well, then the other advantage is that since they're on a college campus, they get some of the campus vibe or activities and energy, right?
00:27:02.000 That's right.
00:27:02.000 They get a chance to kind of peer in and maybe even to influence.
00:27:05.000 Yes.
00:27:05.000 Yes.
00:27:06.000 Because they'll be learning stuff they might not always be learning there.
00:27:08.000 Absolutely.
00:27:09.000 Dr. Gooch, thank you so much.
00:27:10.000 It's turningpointacademy.com.
00:27:12.000 It's right there on the front page, Prep Year, Preparing for Life, Leadership, and Impact.
00:27:16.000 We put this together.
00:27:17.000 Dr. Gooch deserves the credit.
00:27:19.000 Hutz deserves the credit for transformative opportunity ages 18, 19, 20. Right?
00:27:24.000 18, 19, 20. You guys can go live nine months in Fort Worth, Texas.
00:27:29.000 Maybe if you live nearby, it's not that big of a lift.
00:27:31.000 And you will learn things.
00:27:33.000 That will change your whole life.
00:27:35.000 It's what college should be.
00:27:36.000 And then you guys can go get whatever degree and do there.
00:27:38.000 But that sets you on the course.
00:27:40.000 And it's kind of a dream because I talk about college scam and all this.
00:27:44.000 This is what we need.
00:27:45.000 This is the foundation.
00:27:47.000 So, turningpointacademy.com.
