00:01:15.000 Big, big news to share.
00:01:17.000 Last evening on Twitter spaces, and some of you might have seen it on social media.
00:01:21.000 We shared some exciting, exciting news regarding Turning Point USA and Blexit.
00:01:27.000 And here to break the news on this show is the great Candace Owens.
00:01:33.000 Candace, welcome back to the program.
00:01:35.000 Hey, I'm doing well.
00:01:37.000 How are you?
00:01:38.000 So, Candace, last night we shared some super exciting news.
00:01:41.000 I haven't mentioned it yet here.
00:01:43.000 Candace, what do we have to announce?
00:01:45.000 Well, it's a huge announcement.
00:01:47.000 Super exciting.
00:01:48.000 It feels like a homecoming of sorts, but Blexit and Turning Point USA are officially merging.
00:01:55.000 It feels just so appropriate, right?
00:01:57.000 I mean, to kind of start where you began, to go back to where you began.
00:02:01.000 And we couldn't be more thrilled about just the opportunity to proliferate both of our goals.
00:02:07.000 You obviously having done such a wonderful job across university campuses and realizing that issue.
00:02:13.000 Me realizing a huge issue in the inner city communities, how minorities have been neglected, and starting these after-school programs for Blexit and coming back together because it is entirely true that conservatives are fighting all different fronts.
00:02:28.000 And it's time for us to come together and realize that we're fighting the same war.
00:02:31.000 And what better way than for Blexit and Turning Point USA?
00:02:34.000 It is.
00:02:35.000 And Candace, you've built a machine at Blexit.
00:02:38.000 It's truly amazing.
00:02:39.000 And the impact and the membership and, you know, the goal and the vision is one of the most important in the country, honestly.
00:02:46.000 I mean, there are so many organizations that are just think tanks and they just publish papers that nobody reads.
00:02:50.000 But Blexit is about education.
00:02:53.000 And the goal and the vision is to try to liberate Black America from the victimhood mentality.
00:02:58.000 Tell our audience a little bit about that goal and that vision that you had from the very beginning that now we're going to try to bring to the next level.
00:03:06.000 Yeah, you know, our entire lives, and I say I'm referring to Black Americans, what you really have is sort of a nefarious education system that's trying to sell to you that you are a victim and that you should recognize that because of the color of your skin, you're never going to be able to go anywhere in life.
00:03:21.000 And of course, this narrative is advantageous to governments who want to see people that are divided and constantly fighting one another so that we're not looking in the obvious direction and realizing who's really taking us, you know, away from our goals and taking us away from our future.
00:03:35.000 And the issue is governance.
00:03:36.000 It's always governance, particularly for Black America.
00:03:39.000 You know, welfarism, which came about via the Great Society Act, when Black Americans essentially pledged their allegiance to governments in lieu of black fathers.
00:03:48.000 Father absence is what became a, I shouldn't even call it a predicament.
00:03:52.000 It's a plague upon our society with the single motherhood rate in the black community being above 74% today.
00:03:59.000 Yes, it's unbelievable.
00:04:00.000 And every societal ill has naturally followed.
00:04:04.000 And it's funny because today on my podcast, I was talking about how I always think whose child is this when you see images like we saw and we played on my podcast today, the images of black Americans that were grabbing flat screen TVs out of Target after George Floyd died.
00:04:20.000 And I watched this and I just went, whose child is this?
00:04:22.000 And the truth is that these are children that are from broken homes who are behaving this way because they have been disadvantaged by a government that incentivized poor behavior in the black community.
00:04:32.000 And it's been time for that to stop.
00:04:34.000 It's been time for there to be voices that present a different option for black Americans, for all Americans, because now it's the coddling of all Americans that we're experiencing.
00:04:43.000 And to say that you can choose not to be a victim.
00:04:47.000 You can choose to be a victor.
00:04:48.000 And as soon as you realize that you're not a special snowflake, that you're going to have to work hard, you're going to have to give it your all.
00:04:54.000 Even if you don't have the best starting place in life, it's not about where you start, it's about where you finish.
00:04:59.000 The entire world will open up to you.
00:05:01.000 And as it definitely did for me when I decided on conservative principles over liberal ones.
00:05:05.000 Candace, I have one regret over the last week.
00:05:07.000 I missed you in Chicago.
00:05:09.000 And I had fun because I was able to kind of riff on how Chicago's become a dystopian hellhole.
00:05:13.000 So selfishly, I enjoyed that.
00:05:15.000 But there was one person who asked a question at the beginning.
00:05:17.000 I said, oh my goodness, I wish Candace was here.
00:05:19.000 I did the best I could.
00:05:21.000 It was a black gentleman who was the only liberal black questioner of the whole night, by the way.
00:05:26.000 All the rest were conservative.
00:05:28.000 And he said, it was amazing.
00:05:30.000 And I mean, they were like, oh, we wish Candace was here.
00:05:32.000 And like, but this one guy, right, I did my best, but effectively he said, I can't get anywhere in life in Chicago because of racism.
00:05:40.000 And I asked, I said, really?
00:05:41.000 I mean, how is racism impacting black and black crime?
00:05:43.000 And I asked him the question that you taught me, Candace.
00:05:45.000 I said, what is a bigger issue?
00:05:47.000 You know, the fact that 75% of blacks are being raised without fathers or racism.
00:05:52.000 And he said, racism, right?
00:05:54.000 And just help me understand the calculus there.
00:05:56.000 I think it's so patently insane, obviously.
00:05:58.000 It's insane, but brainwashing is real.
00:06:00.000 Propaganda is effective.
00:06:02.000 Tale is old as time.
00:06:03.000 And people need to realize this is that these people are first and foremost having their families destroyed.
00:06:08.000 They're growing up in single-parent households.
00:06:10.000 And what naturally happens is that they still pursue that paternity and sometimes that maternity elsewhere if they're growing up in completely obliterated households.
00:06:19.000 And who becomes the patron of culture tends to be the Jay-Zs, the Beyoncés, the gang members.
00:06:25.000 And so they are learning this.
00:06:26.000 They're learning that they're victims.
00:06:28.000 They're learning a thuggery.
00:06:29.000 Black women are learning thuggery.
00:06:31.000 They're learning that it's something to be glorified.
00:06:33.000 And it's because ultimately, because they don't have parents, they don't have mom and dad sitting around the table at the end of the day, teaching them the correct values, which is something that the black Americans used to have, right?
00:06:42.000 Again, this all started following the Great Society Act, not before it.
00:06:46.000 Charlie, I cannot not mention this.
00:06:48.000 You were in Chicago and it was cold in Chicago.
00:06:51.000 There was a snowstorm.
00:06:52.000 And I feel it's very important to break the story that the Unsundyro brothers are speaking out regarding their hate crime, which took place for Jesse Smollett.
00:07:02.000 I'm sure you saw this in the news today, Charlie.
00:07:04.000 Oh, is that right?
00:07:05.000 I didn't see that yet.
00:07:06.000 No way.
00:07:07.000 They spoke out.
00:07:08.000 They're speaking out on Fox Nation, Charlie.
00:07:10.000 Oh, my God.
00:07:10.000 It's like, it's going to make your life because you and I hit campuses calling out.
00:07:15.000 We got more material out of this than any other news item.
00:07:19.000 We had way too much fun.
00:07:21.000 We would show up at a campus like University of South Carolina.
00:07:23.000 What are we going to talk about?
00:07:24.000 Oh, we'll just do the Jussie thing.
00:07:26.000 It would be 30 minutes.
00:07:29.000 So good.
00:07:29.000 The Subway sandwich in hand.
00:07:31.000 Yes.
00:07:32.000 The news advertising.
00:07:34.000 The best part is when the cop comes in, he says, why didn't you take the noose off?
00:07:40.000 It's like the cop's like immediate gut reaction.
00:07:43.000 Holding the sand with the ball.
00:07:45.000 Yeah, it's exactly like how good was this foot long, Jesse?
00:07:48.000 You didn't let it go when you were being attacked and bleach was being thrown on you and you're being called the Edward.
00:07:53.000 So the Unsundaro brothers have spoken out and they're laughing as hard as we laughed, Charlie.
00:07:57.000 And they're just like how crazy it was for them to watch him then give that infamous interview to Robin.
00:08:02.000 I'm forgetting.
00:08:03.000 Robin Robinson.
00:08:04.000 Robin Robinson, former Chicago star who went national.
00:08:07.000 Yep.
00:08:07.000 They start laughing, being like, wow, we really realized how crazy he was when he was faking out these tears.
00:08:13.000 And to go back and watch that interview now, it's so great.
00:08:15.000 He's like, I just want the gay boys coming up in society to know that I fought back.
00:08:22.000 It's glorious, Charlie.
00:08:24.000 You get to relive it today, the unsedar.
00:08:27.000 I'm looking at it right.
00:08:28.000 We're going to get some clip because maybe for another segment, we're going to play this.
00:08:32.000 And so for that person at the Chicago event, my retort was he said, There's so much racism in Chicago.
00:08:37.000 I said, I said, here's how I know you're lying.
00:08:40.000 There's so little racism, you have to fake your own hate crimes.
00:08:42.000 Yeah.
00:08:45.000 That's exactly right.
00:08:47.000 And that's why I thought of it because there's so little racism.
00:08:49.000 Also, it's a majority minority city, so don't even get me started on all the lies of people believing this.
00:08:54.000 And that it really was an epidemic of black Americans that were faking their own hate crimes for glory because the media insisted so much and the classrooms insisted so much that there could be glory via victimhood that people began faking their own hate crimes.
00:09:06.000 There just wasn't enough racist material happening in America.
00:09:09.000 Now, to be clear, neither one of us is saying that racism doesn't still exist.
00:09:12.000 We know it still exists.
00:09:14.000 Yes.
00:09:14.000 Especially against white people.
00:09:15.000 You really want to get into it.
00:09:17.000 The policies that they're impacting to basically disadvantage people literally because of the color of their skin.
00:09:23.000 Sorry, you're not black.
00:09:24.000 So we don't want you at the school, even though you have a remarkable record.
00:09:28.000 I mean, that is literally an institutionalized racism is what they're doing to Asian Americans at Harvard.
00:09:36.000 Sorry, you're too smart.
00:09:37.000 And you happen to be Asian, and we want black people.
00:09:41.000 And these are things, by the way, that actually harm black people in the end, which has been proven over and over again.
00:09:46.000 But racism exists.
00:09:47.000 We know that there are people that are naturally hateful, people that hate white people, people that hate black people.
00:09:52.000 And that's not going to go away.
00:09:53.000 But the question is whether or not racism is stopping any individual from getting from point A to point Z.
00:09:58.000 And that is simply not true.
00:10:00.000 There isn't a single thing that you can do as a white man in America that I cannot do as a black woman in America.
00:10:06.000 And so I am daring black Americans to try.
00:10:09.000 And I can't wait to now do this in harmony together again.
00:10:13.000 It's amazing.
00:10:14.000 And summarizing kind of what you just said, Candace, is the danger of believing you are a victim is then it gives people a moral license to victimize others.
00:10:24.000 And so the people that then think they're victims think they can treat other people poorly.
00:10:29.000 Candace, I got a surprise for you.
00:10:30.000 Play Cut 45.
00:10:32.000 Yes.
00:10:33.000 I thought he was a good actor, but I also was thinking that this guy's a fraud.
00:10:39.000 This guy's really sitting here just lying to these people, lying through his teeth, and not caring.
00:10:47.000 I think he should have tears.
00:10:49.000 And I want a little gay boy who might watch this to see that I fought back.
00:10:55.000 This dude is crazy, man.
00:10:58.000 He shed a tear, man.
00:11:00.000 This dude, wild.
00:11:03.000 It's so amazing.
00:11:05.000 It's amazing.
00:11:07.000 This is the gift that keeps on giving.
00:11:09.000 I forgot that he said this.
00:11:10.000 And I want a little gay boy watching this to know that I fought back.
00:11:16.000 He's got his little button.
00:11:18.000 He's got his little like gay pride button.
00:11:19.000 He's got all like that.
00:11:21.000 He's got all the little signs and signals.
00:11:23.000 Here's Cut 46 of the police that walk into Smollett's apartment.
00:11:27.000 It's the body cam footage.
00:11:29.000 Play Cut 46.
00:11:39.000 Do you want to take it off for anything?
00:11:43.000 You're still here, right?
00:11:44.000 Yeah, this is all being out of Levision recorders.
00:11:48.000 He's walking around the apartment.
00:11:50.000 He's walking around the apartment with the news.
00:11:55.000 Here's why I always say people.
00:11:56.000 I'm like, does it pass the sniff test?
00:11:58.000 If it's happening in 2020 onward and it involves a noose, it's probably a lie.
00:12:04.000 You know why?
00:12:04.000 Because kids are not brushing up on their noose tying skills in classrooms.
00:12:07.000 This is just not a relevant thing that people do anymore, tying nooses.
00:12:11.000 It's so ridiculous.
00:12:11.000 It's always going to be a complete scam and a lie.
00:12:14.000 It's basically what they're relying on is cultural depictions of what slaves went through, of what happened in the Jim Crow era at the KKK.
00:12:21.000 And so that's why they go to this as a prop.
00:12:23.000 They're like, oh, well, this is a good prop.
00:12:24.000 People believe this happened.
00:12:25.000 I'm sorry.
00:12:26.000 In the land of selfies and Instagram and kids that can't be bothered to get off of their butts, they're not tying nooses.
00:12:32.000 They're least of all going out in the middle of a polar vortex in Chicago.
00:12:36.000 Well, that's how I, I mean, that's how I knew it was a lie.
00:12:38.000 It was like negative 20 degrees.
00:12:39.000 And by the way, absolutely.
00:12:40.000 If you're going to go out negative 20 degrees, you're not going to brave the cold to go to Subway.
00:12:44.000 And then two people with MAGA hats on on the upper Northeast side say, oh, yeah, this is MAGA country.
00:12:50.000 Candace, you and I have been to a lot of MAGA rallies.
00:12:52.000 No one ever says that.
00:12:54.000 Okay.
00:12:55.000 In the history of Donald Trump supporters, in the entire history since the day that Donald Trump was born, nobody has ever uttered the phrase, this is MAGA country.
00:13:05.000 It doesn't even, it's not even proper.
00:13:06.000 It just sounds awkward and weird.
00:13:08.000 This is MAGA Country.
00:13:11.000 I mean, it's just, it was the story was so ridiculous.
00:13:14.000 We called it as a farce from day one.
00:13:16.000 The journalists absolutely trashed us.
00:13:17.000 I mean, I was just like, first and foremost, black people going out in the middle of the polar vortex.
00:13:20.000 We hate the cold.
00:13:21.000 Okay.
00:13:22.000 This is just 100% of the truth.
00:13:23.000 We hate the cold.
00:13:23.000 We're not doing that.
00:13:24.000 It doesn't pass a sniff test.
00:13:25.000 Absolutely not.
00:13:26.000 We got Uber Eats, so you can order food to Arctic.
00:13:29.000 We're not doing this for a Subway sandwich.
00:13:31.000 Then you get the bleach involved, and you're like, What?
00:13:34.000 What kind of a hate crime?
00:13:35.000 Never even in the history of Black American history were they throwing bleach at black people.
00:13:38.000 So why did we start suddenly in 2019 in Chicago?
00:13:41.000 Because it's not a thing.
00:13:42.000 People don't just go, here, bleach people.
00:13:44.000 I mean, the whole story was so foolish, but they didn't care.
00:13:48.000 They got behind him anyway.
00:13:49.000 They love a good virtue signal.
00:13:51.000 Yeah, there's a deeper point here that I want to explore just a second as we wrap up here, Candace, which is, but if you incentivize being a victim, you get these silly, ridiculous, outrageous theatrics, right?
00:14:01.000 Where actually Jesse saw the highest level of attention he could get is to be a victim of something, not to be the success of something.
00:14:10.000 Elaborate on that.
00:14:11.000 Absolutely.
00:14:12.000 I mean, nobody knew about his role on empire.
00:14:14.000 He was basically an actor.
00:14:16.000 He had a role, a recurring role on Empire, but nobody knew him.
00:14:20.000 He wasn't an A-list actor by any means.
00:14:22.000 And what better way to climb your way to the A-list than to be a victim?
00:14:24.000 So we're not going to say that you're such a good actor that you're going to be recognized like you're Denzel Washington based on your actual merit.
00:14:30.000 Instead, you can climb very quickly by just saying that you're a victim of the most absurd hate crime that we've ever heard of and that couldn't plausibly have happened, right?
00:14:39.000 And so this is what he did.
00:14:40.000 And he wasn't the only one.
00:14:42.000 He did it perhaps the most gloriously, but let's not forget that there was an epidemic of fake hate crime hoaxes that were happening all across university campuses.
00:14:50.000 People calling themselves the N-word, writing the N-word on their cars.
00:14:53.000 And it was eventually discovered.
00:14:55.000 And these people were basically just giving a little slap on the wrist because who would want to challenge this in the middle of BLM race rhetoric?
00:15:04.000 And that shouldn't have been happening.
00:15:05.000 People should have been expelled.
00:15:06.000 And Jesse Smollett should have spent hard time in prison.
00:15:09.000 It's a supply and demand problem in America.
00:15:11.000 We have such a low supply of racism that people have to go make up their own hate crimes to try to get attention.
00:15:16.000 Candace.
00:15:17.000 We might do that today.
00:15:18.000 I don't know.
00:15:19.000 Yeah, I hope not.

00:17:13.000 Why are we putting up with men playing in women's sports?
00:17:16.000 It's a very simple question.
00:17:18.000 And the Attorney General of West Virginia, someone who I've known for quite some time, actually, who he should be the senator from West Virginia, that's a separate issue, has a pretty serious answer, which is we're going to challenge this in the courts.
00:17:32.000 Joining us now is Patrick Morrissey.
00:17:35.000 Patrick, welcome back to the program.
00:17:37.000 Charlie, it's great to be with you.
00:17:39.000 And you're always spot on on these issues.
00:17:41.000 This is a really interesting case.
00:17:43.000 I'm really excited to talk to you about it today.
00:17:46.000 Yeah, I am, I'm equally as excited.
00:17:48.000 And so why don't you just explain it to our audience?
00:17:51.000 I'm sure there's a lot of legalese involved here.
00:17:53.000 So take as much time as necessary.
00:17:55.000 I ask the simple moral question, why do we allow men in female sports?
00:18:00.000 Explain the legal question.
00:18:03.000 Absolutely.
00:18:04.000 So first of all, as Americans have been watching what's been going on, they saw the NCAA swimming championships.
00:18:12.000 They saw a lot of instances where biological males are coming in to compete in women's sports.
00:18:19.000 And West Virginia, a number of years ago, in an effort to really get ahead of the curve, said, we're not going to let that happen.
00:18:26.000 So the legislature, knowing what the future would likely look like, they said that if you're a biological male, you couldn't play in women's sports.
00:18:37.000 Now, it doesn't deny you the opportunity to play sports.
00:18:40.000 It just says that you're not going to compete on the woman's team.
00:18:44.000 So we thought this was a very reasonable, common sense approach to protect women from a safety perspective and in terms of advancing their athletic opportunities.
00:18:55.000 Charlie, as you know, Title IX has been utilized by women to advance to further athletic activities and also to develop leadership skills with women.
00:19:08.000 So the West Virginia legislature knew all this at the time.
00:19:11.000 They passed a law, but shortly after the law was passed, you got the inevitable challenge from plaintiffs trying to enjoin the law.
00:19:21.000 And in fact, Charlie, they succeeded within a very short period of time.
00:19:27.000 They enjoined a part of our law, and then we went to work.
00:19:31.000 So the judge then gives us the opportunity to submit our evidence, submit the papers, and we begin.
00:19:38.000 We submit over 500 documentaries, over 3,000 pages of evidence showing a lot of the distinction, the advantages that males have over females in athletic competition.
00:19:52.000 And we give that to him.
00:19:53.000 And then in January, Charlie, the district court reverses himself.
00:19:58.000 He actually lifts the injunction and gives us a summary judgment on the merits.
00:20:03.000 A huge victory for West Virginia.
00:20:05.000 And I think really because of all the evidence that we submitted.
00:20:09.000 Now, along the way, we started to get help from female athletes.
00:20:14.000 We had a woman, Lainey Armistead.
00:20:16.000 She was a soccer player at West Virginia Estate.
00:20:19.000 She's represented by ADF.
00:20:21.000 She's done a great job on this.
00:20:23.000 She was able to tell her personal story of growing up with brothers and her concern about males participating.
00:20:30.000 But we went in district court, but then right away, they go back up to the Fourth Circuit.
00:20:35.000 And unfortunately, in an unreasoned decision with really no explanation, the Fourth Circuit reverses the district court judge and once again puts an injunction on the law.
00:20:47.000 And then that puts me in a position of saying, we're going to go up to the Supreme Court to try to lift the injunction.
00:20:53.000 The evidence is very clear that males have an advantage over females in sports.
00:20:59.000 And the legislature is prerogative to act.
00:21:02.000 Yeah, and this is such a silly question, but I have to ask it.
00:21:06.000 Is it really being debated in the courtroom of what is a man and what is a woman?
00:21:09.000 Isn't that the fundamental question here, right?
00:21:12.000 Because Title IX is supposed to carve out special protections for females.
00:21:16.000 And it's not as if the proponents of the alphabet mafia and the trans stuff, they disagree with that.
00:21:21.000 They're just saying, but you can just transition into that category.
00:21:24.000 So isn't that the crux of the legal case here?
00:21:28.000 Yeah, I think that the big piece, Charlie, as you rightly point out, is: was the legislature correct in limiting athletic opportunities and defining it on the basis of sex, biological males and females?
00:21:42.000 And so to me, that's a very straightforward case because I think we do know the difference between males and females.
00:21:49.000 And that's why what I'm most excited about in this case is you had one judge who was no fan of the law slap the injunction on flip around and agree with the biology, agree with the science, agree with the facts.
00:22:03.000 And I think because it's really hard not to agree.
00:22:07.000 Yeah, I just, I'm curious, though, just to kind of for the utility of trying to strengthen one's own argument, what the heck is the argument against it?
00:22:18.000 I mean, what is it?
00:22:19.000 I mean, that men should be able to compete in female sports.
00:22:23.000 Is it because of doctors or what they call the scientific community?
00:22:27.000 What is the argument here against having separate sporting categories?
00:22:32.000 Well, I think what you see is a lot of the advocates are looking to have categories other than biology, and they're looking to make it based on gender identification or other sort of classifications.
00:22:46.000 But ultimately, the court has to decide: was the legislature justified in making a division on the basis of biology as opposed to, say, gender preference or gender identification?
00:23:00.000 And once again, I think to all of us, it's very clear, but there are a lot of people on the other side.
00:23:05.000 I think they've been pushing the envelope.
00:23:07.000 You saw it in the context of bathrooms a number of years ago.
00:23:11.000 You hear it about it in locker rooms.
00:23:12.000 But Charlie, to me, the question of sports is the easiest one to resolve of all, right?
00:23:19.000 Because it's provable as you look at the evidence that men perform better than women.
00:23:26.000 This is not hard.
00:23:28.000 Yeah, I mean, this is not a very difficult question, but we're asking the court to lift the injunction.
00:23:33.000 What that would do is allow us to go back to the Fourth Circuit and continue to litigate.
00:23:38.000 And ultimately, I think if that happens, we're likely to prevail on the merits because this is so straightforward.
00:23:44.000 I want to play a piece of tape here.
00:23:45.000 It's more of a cultural element, a wrinkle here.
00:23:48.000 So, this is the man who appropriates womanhood on the television show.
00:23:54.000 It's very strange with Drew Barrymore, PlayCut 43.
00:23:59.000 There is so much hatred directed at the trans community right now.
00:24:03.000 It's everywhere.
00:24:04.000 And I think the greatest weapon that I can contribute is trans joy in comedy.
00:24:10.000 It's interesting because I look at someone like you and I can't imagine anybody disliking you.
00:24:15.000 Oh, please.
00:24:16.000 Do you know?
00:24:17.000 Do you want to know, ironically, who dislikes me the most sometimes?
00:24:22.000 Who?
00:24:23.000 Oh, me too.
00:24:23.000 Myself.
00:24:25.000 Oh.
00:24:26.000 And I guess we're back in now.
00:24:32.000 Like you've asked me, like, what I would do to combat the hate, right?
00:24:39.000 Yeah, but what do you do?
00:24:40.000 To not carry on in spite of others.
00:24:43.000 I'm sorry.
00:24:43.000 I just realized that I'm sitting on the floor with Drew.
00:24:46.000 It's anxiety to be doing this.
00:24:48.000 Thank you for joining me on the floor.
00:24:49.000 The floor always feels safer.
00:24:51.000 It's just nice.
00:24:52.000 Okay, so there's a lot going on there.
00:24:54.000 I don't know who Drew Barrymore is.
00:24:55.000 Apparently, she's a big deal.
00:24:56.000 But I mean, this goes to this question of fundamental biological categories and how the law intersects with that, right?
00:25:04.000 And you're the Attorney General of West Virginia, so you have to stay very focused on what the law is.
00:25:09.000 But do you think that this is, you know, we're overthinking this?
00:25:14.000 No, I mean, when I'm asked the question is to present the other side in their arguments, or I get encountered with people saying you're just trying to discriminate against a transgender.
00:25:26.000 And the answer is no.
00:25:27.000 I mean, there's no animus.
00:25:28.000 There's no discrimination going on.
00:25:30.000 This is a reflection of the fact that males are different than females.
00:25:35.000 I think many of us know that, but a lot of people try to conflate the terms and they want to engage in athletic competitions, which would, I think, provide women with a huge disadvantage.
00:25:48.000 So look, I know that I get a lot of grief on this.
00:25:51.000 I'm sure there are going to be people nationally upset that we'll bring this forward, but there's no discrimination.
00:25:57.000 There's no animus.
00:25:58.000 This is a recognition that women want to participate in sports.
00:26:02.000 They become leaders through their participation.
00:26:05.000 It's actually completely consistent with Title IX.
00:26:08.000 And the court said that exact thing.
00:26:11.000 So, you know, Charlie, I've been before your program.
00:26:15.000 I've talked about a lot of big legal issues of the day.
00:26:18.000 As I said, this shouldn't be very hard.
00:26:20.000 This is straightforward.
00:26:22.000 And the more that we can make sure that we don't have to go up on common sense measures, the better.
00:26:27.000 But go up, we will when our laws get challenged.
00:26:31.000 Patrick, you're also running for governor.
00:26:33.000 Is that correct?
00:26:35.000 Well, I'm looking very closely at running for governor.
00:26:38.000 I think there were some polling numbers that came out today that suggests that we'd be the overwhelming favorite in West Virginia.
00:26:45.000 But you know, Charlie, I don't take anything lightly.
00:26:48.000 You remember back in 18, I barely lost to Senator Joe Manchin, and he had a lot of resources and strength.
00:26:54.000 But I think people know my record, whether it's winning West Virginia VPA, a huge separation of Powers case, or a lot of big cases.
00:27:02.000 We've been able to help West Virginia, and we're going to keep pressing to do my job.
00:27:07.000 But there may be a new opportunity arising very soon.
00:27:10.000 Very good.
00:27:11.000 Patrick, thank you so much for your leadership, and we'll talk to you soon.
00:27:14.000 Hey, thanks, Charlie.
00:27:14.000 Thank you.
00:27:15.000 Appreciate it.

00:28:24.000 So the Sacramento B.
00:28:27.000 It's unbelievable that they're allowed to get away with this.
00:28:31.000 Sacramento B writes, here's the headline: another fascist speaker is coming to UC Davis.
00:28:38.000 How should the community respond?
00:28:40.000 First of all, I'm not a fascist, okay?
00:28:43.000 They're the fascists.
00:28:44.000 They're the ones that are going to be in all black with weapons trying to prevent me from speaking tonight.
00:28:49.000 They're the ones where now we need 100-plus police officers.
00:28:54.000 Explain this to me.
00:28:55.000 How would I be a fascist when I allow people that disagree with me to go to the front of the line to ask questions?
00:29:00.000 How is that exactly in the tradition of Mussolini?
00:29:05.000 Hannah Holzer writes in the Sacramento B.
00:29:08.000 This is the most amazing line of the whole thing.
00:29:11.000 She says this, Charlie Kirk has called for the lynching of trans people.
00:29:17.000 A comment that should warrant the cancellation of his event speaking at UC Davis.
00:29:20.000 I have never said that.
00:29:22.000 I have never thought that.
00:29:23.000 That can't be inferred.
00:29:25.000 That even can't be suggested.
00:29:26.000 It is a flat-out lie on the internet that now Hannah Holzer has repeated in the Sacramento B.
00:29:32.000 It is pure and simple slander, defamation, libel, whatever you want to call it.
00:29:38.000 It's right there and it's written.
00:29:41.000 She says that I call for the lynching of trans people.
00:29:45.000 I've never said that.
00:29:46.000 In fact, let me show you what I did say, but they don't look at original documents.
00:29:51.000 They don't look at actually the tape.
00:29:53.000 They're able to write in the Sacramento B that I call for the lynching of trans people.
00:29:57.000 No, no, no, we're going to sue these people.
00:29:59.000 Play cut 50.
00:30:00.000 This is what I did say.
00:30:01.000 Play cut 50.
00:30:03.000 I mean, these people are sick.
00:30:05.000 And I don't say that lightly.
00:30:07.000 The NCAA is a perverted organization.
00:30:10.000 They platformed a biological male who won a national championship and then was allowed in incredibly disturbing detail to be around you and your fellow competitors.
00:30:21.000 And again, I blame the decline of American men.
00:30:25.000 This never should have been, you know, you should have, someone should have just took care of it the way we used to take care of things in the 1950s or 60s.
00:30:33.000 But, you know, as you have testosterone rates go down and men start acting like women and they don't do anything, then, hey, who's to say?
00:30:41.000 You're going to look, there are a lot of sick people in the world, unfortunately.
00:30:46.000 And without the strength to go against them, the country is going to completely, totally fall apart.
00:30:53.000 Now, Cut 49, I specifically said no violence.
00:30:56.000 By the way, the chancellor, just so we're clear, the chancellor UC Davis just released a statement saying that we advocate for violence at Turning Point USA.
00:31:04.000 No, we don't.
00:31:04.000 They are lying about us.
00:31:06.000 This is what they do.
00:31:07.000 They just make stuff up.
00:31:09.000 We've never said that.
00:31:10.000 We are a peaceful organization.
00:31:12.000 We always have been.
00:31:13.000 We've been the recipients of hate.
00:31:15.000 Our reporters were assaulted this last weekend.
00:31:17.000 Our students have been firebombed.
00:31:19.000 Our students have been bear sprayed.
00:31:20.000 Our students have been hospitalized.
00:31:22.000 Our students have been concussed by left-wing agitators and violent terrorists.
00:31:27.000 We've never done that stuff.
00:31:28.000 Yet they're allowed to say whatever they want.
00:31:29.000 Chancellor UC Davis says that we promote violence.
00:31:32.000 No, we don't.
00:31:33.000 No, we don't.
00:31:34.000 You're a liar.
00:31:35.000 And we're still going to show up.
00:31:37.000 You know who does promote violence?
00:31:38.000 What is this guy?
00:31:39.000 Gary S. May.
00:31:40.000 The terrorists outside promote violence.
00:31:43.000 This is how they try to shut us up.
00:31:45.000 They just make stuff up.
00:31:46.000 Truth is not a left-wing value.
00:31:48.000 What did I say?
00:31:49.000 Play cut 49.
00:31:51.000 We're getting a lot of emails, tons of people.
00:31:52.000 I'll read you this one email.
00:31:53.000 And boy, do I sympathize with this.
00:31:56.000 Charlie, I agree with you.
00:31:57.000 If it was my daughter, I would have been arrested for certain.
00:32:00.000 The fix is very simple.
00:32:01.000 If all the female swimmers boycotted the swim meets, they have no choice but to listen.
00:32:05.000 And look, you got to have self-control and self-restraint.
00:32:08.000 Obviously, we've never advocated for violence on this program.
00:32:11.000 Nor is that not the answer.
00:32:13.000 And I encourage everyone to remain peaceful.
00:32:17.000 Charlie, I heard your segment on the trans swimmer.
00:32:20.000 It's time that we no longer tolerate this and we take matters into our own hands.
00:32:25.000 Okay, look, I want to be very clear.
00:32:27.000 Don't be stupid.
00:32:28.000 You got to work within the law, which means you have to be peaceful.
00:32:32.000 Oh, did they incorporate that in the Sacramento Bee?
00:32:35.000 Did the chancellor incorporate that?
00:32:37.000 No, of course not.
00:32:38.000 They are intentionally and knowingly trying to lie about me.
00:32:42.000 But guess what?
00:32:42.000 We're going to show up.
00:32:43.000 We're still going to show up tonight.
00:32:45.000 But this is a clear-cut example.
00:32:46.000 The Sacramento Bee publishes in their paper that Charlie Kirk has called for the lynching of trans people.
00:32:52.000 You just saw those videos.
00:32:53.000 Did I call for the lynching of trans people?
00:32:56.000 Did I do that?
00:32:57.000 No, no, no.
00:32:58.000 This is their playbook.
00:32:59.000 They lie about you, complete misrepresentations, and they act like we roll over.
00:33:03.000 We don't do that around here.
00:33:05.000 If there's an opportunity to sue, we're going to sue you.
00:33:07.000 By the way, a professor at UC Davis, Joshua Clover, called for the actual killing of cops.
00:33:13.000 He said, quote, I'm thankful that every living cop will one day be dead, some by their own hand, some by others, too many of old age.
00:33:19.000 Quote, people think that cops need to be reformed.
00:33:21.000 They need to be killed.
00:33:22.000 That is a tenured professor at UC Davis, yet the chancellor releases a statement because I'm going to show up to have people that disagree with me go to the front of the line.
00:33:30.000 We're not going to back down.
00:33:31.000 Conservatives of the old Nitt Romney way, they lie over and they ask for apologies.
00:33:35.000 They do anything wrong.
00:33:36.000 The new conservative movement is here.
00:33:38.000 We're going to be at UC Davis tonight.
00:33:39.000 We're going to be peaceful.
00:33:41.000 They'll be violent and we're going to do our event.
00:33:43.000 I hope you guys will support us in that endeavor.
00:33:45.000 This is how we win.
00:33:46.000 And by the way, Sacramento Bee, get your legal department ready.
00:33:49.000 Thanks so much for listening, everybody.
