00:02:51.000 There are three stories I want to cover this hour, and they're all important.
00:02:55.000 And I don't know if we'll get to all three.
00:02:56.000 I really hope we will.
00:02:58.000 And we'll go one by one.
00:02:59.000 So I want to start with this one from Axios, which is important.
00:03:03.000 It's more just kind of a cultural one, and it's not very optimistic, unfortunately, but we have to cover all news.
00:03:09.000 So it's from axios.com.
00:03:09.000 Okay.
00:03:11.000 Young Democrats more likely to despise the other party.
00:03:15.000 Nearly a quarter of college students wouldn't be friends with someone who voted for the other presidential candidate.
00:03:20.000 With Democrats far more likely to dismiss people than Republicans.
00:03:23.000 Now, we know this anecdotally with the work we do at Turning Point USA, that Democrats will not just say that they're wrong, they'll say you're evil, they don't want to be friends with you, and they'll disassociate with you.
00:03:35.000 Axios writes, partisan divides as each side inhabits parallel political, cultural, and media universes make a future of discord and distrust in the United States all more likely.
00:03:46.000 5% of Republicans said they wouldn't be friends with someone from the opposite party compared to 37% of Democrats.
00:03:54.000 71% of Democrats say they wouldn't go on a date with someone with opposing views versus 31% of Republicans.
00:04:00.000 Now, I am actually contrarian here.
00:04:03.000 I do not think you should date people from the opposite party.
00:04:06.000 I don't.
00:04:07.000 I don't think you should try to build a life with people that don't share your worldview.
00:04:14.000 I'm not saying you shouldn't be nice to them and you shouldn't be pleasant, but I also don't think you should date for the sake of dating.
00:04:19.000 I think you should date with the intent to marry.
00:04:22.000 And if you have an initial kind of encounter, like, oh, yeah, I believe in open borders.
00:04:28.000 There is no God.
00:04:29.000 I believe pleasure over virtue.
00:04:31.000 I think the Constitution is evil and we live on stolen land.
00:04:34.000 Yeah, great.
00:04:35.000 Let's go get dinner sometime.
00:04:36.000 Like, I don't really understand kind of what the path forward is there.
00:04:41.000 Now, I'm not to say that marriages can't work with different political differences.
00:04:45.000 It happens all the time.
00:04:48.000 I've seen it not work more than not.
00:04:51.000 But I actually don't think that's the more intolerant one.
00:04:54.000 I think just being friends is important.
00:04:56.000 I mean, the problem is that the study, because of our increasingly, let's say, open society, that's an interesting way to say it, that dating is considered as transactional as a friendship, unfortunately.
00:05:12.000 30% of Democrats and only 7%, but even beside that, only 31% of Democrats agree, or 31% of Republicans agree.
00:05:19.000 30% of Democrats and 7% of Republicans wouldn't work for someone who voted differently from them.
00:05:26.000 Democrats argue that modern Republican positions, spearheaded by Trump, are far outside the mainstream of polite conversation.
00:05:34.000 Young Democrats express unyielding positions on matter of identity, including abortion, LGBT, and open borders.
00:05:42.000 When they argue for human rights, they're not just policy differences, they're moral issues at stake.
00:05:49.000 This is obviously true because of the hyper-feminization of America, and therefore you have a much more emotional tone to all of this.
00:05:58.000 Women are more likely than men to take strong partisan stances in personal choices.
00:06:03.000 Isn't that interesting how men actually end up being more tolerant than women when it comes to politics?
00:06:09.000 That's so interesting.
00:06:12.000 41% of women would go on a date with someone who voted for the opposing candidate compared to 67% of men.
00:06:18.000 Now, this doesn't shock me, okay?
00:06:20.000 For young men to go on a date, I hate to say it, political preference isn't the number one thing a young man is thinking about when he goes on a date with a woman, okay?
00:06:29.000 Let's just be honest.
00:06:30.000 Women have a much different, let's say, genetic makeup of what they're actually looking for as far as in the dating atmosphere.
00:06:42.000 Now, if we had a society where dating was taken as a, let's say, a first step towards marriage, not just dating for the sake of dating.
00:06:53.000 I don't know.
00:06:53.000 I just want to get out.
00:06:53.000 I want to meet people.
00:06:54.000 It's such a nonsense.
00:06:57.000 76% of women would work for someone who voted for the other candidate versus 86% of men.
00:07:05.000 68% of women would shop or support at a business of someone of the other party.
00:07:10.000 So that means that 32% of Democrat women boycott Republican businesses.
00:07:17.000 Now, I'm going to say the obvious thing, which is this is unprecedented.
00:07:22.000 It never used to be this way.
00:07:24.000 It shouldn't be this way.
00:07:26.000 But if you want to see a little window or a preview of the coming fracturing of our country, this is the study for you.
00:07:37.000 This is not an optimistic take, but it's an honest one.
00:07:40.000 That 37% of Democrats, I'm not even saying that the dating thing I get, friends.
00:07:49.000 They won't be friends with a Republican.
00:07:53.000 Basically, what this study shows me is 37% of young Democrats, because we send people to college, massive mistake, because college teaches them this.
00:08:03.000 37% of young Democrats that go to college, 37%, are taught to be indecent towards people that they disagree with.
00:08:14.000 37%.
00:08:16.000 Now, let me tell you three reasons why this is wrong.
00:08:19.000 Number one, how do you know?
00:08:22.000 What the other side is thinking if you don't know anyone from that other side?
00:08:26.000 It creates a permanent tribal identity.
00:08:31.000 Now, tribal actually comes from a Latin word which means try, three, because there always were three warring tribes always fighting with each other.
00:08:40.000 It's interesting, actually, kind of where the word actually comes from.
00:08:44.000 The second reason why this is good is it doesn't expand the horizon or the boundaries of young conservatives or of young Democrats.
00:08:52.000 And we tell this to our turning point USA students all the time.
00:08:55.000 Never stop being friends with a liberal, but they'll stop being friends with you.
00:08:58.000 It's kind of funny.
00:08:59.000 It's like this study is completely accurate, by the way.
00:09:02.000 Kudos to Axios.
00:09:03.000 I believe these numbers totally.
00:09:04.000 Do you, Connor?
00:09:05.000 Do you believe these numbers?
00:09:06.000 100%.
00:09:07.000 And I don't believe everything that's out there with these studies, but Axios did a great job here.
00:09:12.000 It doesn't challenge the horizons of conservatives or liberals.
00:09:17.000 And I say this to young conservatives all the time.
00:09:19.000 And I say, if you're only around conservatives, you won't really have that strong of intellectual muscles, to be honest.
00:09:28.000 You got to know what they're going to say.
00:09:31.000 I've done plenty of that in my life.
00:09:32.000 Trust me.
00:09:33.000 I've talked to my fair share of Bolsheviks.
00:09:35.000 And I still do.
00:09:37.000 There's plenty of videos you guys can do it.
00:09:40.000 Now, some people say, Charlie, I don't have the patience for it.
00:09:42.000 I'm cutting them out.
00:09:43.000 I don't want to do it.
00:09:44.000 I get it.
00:09:44.000 I understand that there's limitations on patience when it comes to the left.
00:09:48.000 The third thing, though, which is super important is how is this not the creation of different countries?
00:09:55.000 How is this study not showing us that 37% of young Democrats don't even want to be friends with, therefore, would they want to be neighbors with those people?
00:10:03.000 Would they want to be fellow countrymen with those people?
00:10:06.000 No.
00:10:07.000 So what you're seeing in real time, that polarization is not just like a boomer thing of people that are like, oh yeah, Trump is so divisive.
00:10:17.000 No, no, no, no.
00:10:19.000 This is young people.
00:10:21.000 You know, it's so funny.
00:10:23.000 We're told that we have more in common than we actually don't.
00:10:27.000 37% of Democrats don't want to be friends with people like me.
00:10:30.000 How am I supposed to take that?
00:10:33.000 How are conservatives supposed to interpret that?
00:10:35.000 Are we supposed to say, thanks for playing?
00:10:38.000 You're right.
00:10:39.000 Don't be friends.
00:10:39.000 Or should we kind of be a little taken back?
00:10:41.000 And you should be.
00:10:43.000 You should be taken back by that.
00:10:45.000 You should say, wait a second, you don't want to be friends with me as a young person in college because I have different politics than you?
00:10:51.000 Yes.
00:10:54.000 What's that going to look like when those people are running the attorney general's offices in states like Virginia?
00:11:05.000 A different poll, a recent one, shows that 46% of young Republicans, is this young Republicans?
00:11:13.000 Yeah.
00:11:13.000 46% of young Republicans believe that we're heading for another civil war.
00:11:18.000 32% of young Democrats think we're heading for a civil war.
00:11:21.000 And 35% of 18 to 29-year-olds think we're heading for a civil war.
00:11:28.000 And in general, nearly half of all young people think we're going to head for a civil war.
00:11:34.000 Now, you might ask yourself, well, how on earth do they think that?
00:11:39.000 Spend half an hour with me and I'll tell you what these students have to deal with on a college campus and you'll get a good picture why they think that way.
00:11:48.000 Smeared, maligned, mocked at every single corner, every turn.
00:11:52.000 Young Democrats saying, I wish you were dead because of your politics.
00:11:55.000 Yeah, it's not unprecedented for then a young person to say, I don't know if this thing's going to be kept together much longer.
00:12:04.000 This study is a fire alarm for our civilization.
00:12:10.000 This country is going to fall apart in a decade if you don't do something about it.
00:12:14.000 Okay, so I asked you, what percentage of young people, students, believe America's the greatest country in the world?
00:12:21.000 That's it.
00:12:22.000 Not the greatest country ever, which we are.
00:12:24.000 Not the greatest nation ever to exist, not the greatest experiment in self-government.
00:12:27.000 No, no, no, just the greatest nation in the world right now.
00:12:31.000 31% of young people think America is the greatest country.
00:12:35.000 31%.
00:12:37.000 64% of young people think other countries are greater than America.
00:12:44.000 Only 62% of Republicans believe America is the greatest.
00:12:48.000 Now, here's the interesting thing.
00:12:49.000 Harvard did the study.
00:12:51.000 I would love to find out what percentage of the people that did this have passports.
00:12:57.000 What percentage of the young people that think America is not the greatest nation have passports?
00:13:03.000 Seriously.
00:13:04.000 You know that.
00:13:04.000 Connor, can you get the stat?
00:13:05.000 America has the lowest per capita passport.
00:13:09.000 It's understandable because we have such a great country.
00:13:10.000 It's actually a misunderstood criticism from the snobby Europeans.
00:13:15.000 But in this case, it's actually really important.
00:13:17.000 A bunch of Europeans are the Americans, they don't have passports.
00:13:19.000 Because in Europe, a passport is ubiquitous.
00:13:23.000 You're going to do a weekend in France, a weekend in Spain.
00:13:27.000 Kids travel all over Europe as they become older.
00:13:31.000 The same as if in America, you go from Arizona to California, Arizona to Vegas, right?
00:13:36.000 It's the same sort of thing.
00:13:37.000 What percentage of Americans have passports?
00:13:41.000 Yeah, only that's right.
00:13:42.000 Yeah, only 40% of Americans have passports.
00:13:44.000 That's about right.
00:13:45.000 And by the way, I would venture a guess that if you were to remove Canada and Mexico, I would think that the number is even smaller, meaning that probably only 20% of Americans have seriously traveled.
00:13:57.000 Is that about fair?
00:13:59.000 That's a guess, okay?
00:14:02.000 Because if you take Mexico, and if you take the Caribbean, Mexico, and Canada.
00:14:06.000 You say, Charlie, what's the...
00:14:06.000 Now, why is that important?
00:14:08.000 Because once you travel the world, you start to see things.
00:14:13.000 You realize that America is indeed the greatest nation ever to exist.
00:14:16.000 When you go to Germany, which I have a lot of respect for Germany, I used to until they've lost their mind.
00:14:23.000 You go to Bavaria, or you go to üsterich, you go to Austria, or you go to Spain, and you realize the entire cultural makeup is totally different than that of America.
00:14:34.000 When you go to Turkey, you realize that the way you get jobs is by your first cousin being related to the person that's in charge of doling the jobs.
00:14:44.000 It's not a meritocracy.
00:14:46.000 You see, America built on a meritocracy.
00:14:49.000 Most countries are built on connections, relationships, ancestral allegiance.
00:14:57.000 America broke that open by saying if you work hard and play by the rules, then you're going to be able to move up in life.
00:15:04.000 Is it perfect?
00:15:05.000 Of course not.
00:15:06.000 Is it the best?
00:15:07.000 Absolutely.
00:15:08.000 The moving average rule in America is if you apply yourself, you make good choices, you pursue virtue over pleasure, you will be rewarded.
00:15:16.000 Now, that window is disappearing for a lot of different people because of the vaccine mandates, the lockdowns, and all this, but we are still the greatest nation ever to exist in the history of the world.
00:15:25.000 We're the only nation ever to exist where even those who hate it refuse to leave.
00:15:30.000 America is such a great country that the people who burn our flag, they refuse to leave.
00:15:35.000 They don't go to Barcelona.
00:15:37.000 Oh my gosh, that's so great.
00:15:38.000 They don't go to Athens.
00:15:40.000 No, they come back to New York to complain about how awful our country is.
00:15:47.000 I truly believe, though, that if you want to talk about a massive program, if I could get a million young people to go travel to Senegal, Singapore, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, and then come back home, it's impossible they do not return without gratitude.
00:16:12.000 It's not enough to go see some sort of documentary because guess what?
00:16:15.000 Those documentaries are all end.
00:16:16.000 It's America's fault that Senegal is falling apart.
00:16:18.000 Yeah, okay, great.
00:16:19.000 It's America's fault that climate change won't be addressed for sure.
00:16:25.000 Meanwhile, the same poll shows that 51% of young Americans report having felt down, depressed, or hopeless.
00:16:32.000 25% have had thoughts of self-harm.
00:16:34.000 Again, we've gone through this most suicidal generation in American history, most depressed generation in American history created by the people in charge.
00:16:43.000 And yes, the gayest generation in American history, 40% of young people identify as LGBTQ USA, which I'm going to get to in a second.
00:16:54.000 No, I really mean that.
00:16:55.000 And if you have a young person in your life that is trending towards the left-wing direction, say, hey, guess what?
00:17:01.000 Non-stop to Botswana.
00:17:03.000 Good luck.
00:17:06.000 Go try and shower at parts of Botswana.
00:17:09.000 Hey, you're going to Uttar Pradesh in India, a province of 280 million people, a majority of whom live on less than a dollar a day.
00:17:19.000 You get to go to India, where hundreds of millions of people don't have sanitation.
00:17:24.000 The hatred of America is a luxury of the wealthy, the well-connected, and the comfortable.
00:17:34.000 The real estate market is extremely hot right now.
00:17:36.000 People are taking advantage of low interest rates and economic uncertainty by investing in real assets.
00:17:41.000 Whether you are a first-time buyer or just looking to make a change, the key is to get the property you want is being pre-qualified and having cash in hand.
00:17:48.000 That's why you guys, all of us, myself included, I had to stop doing this.
00:17:52.000 I had to stop using the big banks.
00:17:53.000 I used a big bank for a loan previously.
00:17:55.000 It was a disaster.
00:17:56.000 It took forever.
00:17:57.000 Not to mention, I go look at their score on secondvote.com.
00:18:01.000 Like, wow, my loan helped fund abortions.
00:18:03.000 BLM Incorporated, burning down of Wendy's, the destruction of our society.
00:18:08.000 I'm done with it.
00:18:09.000 Then I met Andrew and Todd.
00:18:11.000 Andrew Del Ray and Todd of Akien, who become great friends of mine, AndrewandTodd.com.
00:18:15.000 They are with Sierra Pacific Mortgage.
00:18:17.000 My producer, Andrew, he's working with them right now, and he tells me they are part counselors, part financial planners, and they're really helping them.
00:18:23.000 And I'm about to use them for something.
00:18:24.000 I've been so impressed by them.
00:18:25.000 But they are bankers, not brokers.
00:18:28.000 That means that they can help you start to finish.
00:18:30.000 But quite honestly, let's divest and take all of our money out of these woke banks.
00:18:34.000 So maybe you're buying a new home.
00:18:35.000 Maybe you're refinancing.
00:18:36.000 Whatever process you're going through, just fill out a couple of simple questions online at andrewandodd.com.
00:18:42.000 They can assess your situation right over the phone.
00:18:44.000 Go to andrewandodd.com or call triple 8881172.
00:18:46.000 That's 888 888 1172.
00:18:48.000 Even if you have a friend who's buying a home, I'm sure every single person knows someone that's buying a home.
00:18:52.000 Just put your arm around them and say, hey, go to Andrewandodd.com.
00:18:54.000 Charlie Kirk speaks favorably of them.
00:18:57.000 Here's what I can guarantee you with AndrewandTodd.com.
00:18:59.000 Zero of the proceeds will go to fund abortion.
00:19:03.000 Zero will go to fund BLM.
00:19:05.000 Zero will go to fund the woke industrial complex instead.
00:19:08.000 Andrew and Todd, they support shows like ours.
00:19:10.000 They want to help patriots, Christians, and people that love their country and love the Lord take out loans and do it correctly.
00:19:17.000 So go to AndrewandTodd.com, call 888-88888888888-1172.
00:19:21.000 That's 88888-1172.
00:19:24.000 AndrewandTodd.com.
00:19:25.000 Support the good guys and stop supporting companies and banks that hate you.
00:19:30.000 The banks have waged war on our values.
00:19:32.000 Time to say Sayanara via Candillos.
00:19:35.000 Alvita Sane.
00:19:36.000 I'll be going to AndrewandTodd.com.
00:19:42.000 We've been warning for a while that men who think they aren't women have serious mental problems are going to destroy women's sports.
00:19:49.000 We've been warning about that for a while.
00:19:51.000 Of course, the intelligentsia supported this.
00:19:55.000 People on the right would always, some people on the right would say, well, well, what difference does it make?
00:19:59.000 Who cares?
00:19:59.000 Well, women's sports is now dead.
00:20:03.000 A man who thinks he is a woman, Leah Thomas, broke a number of college records this last weekend.
00:20:11.000 Thomas, a 22-year-old biological man who identifies as a woman, commanded the pool Sunday, this is MSN, at the Zippy Invite Invitational in Akron, Ohio.
00:20:26.000 Now, MSN doesn't tell you that Leah Thomas was a very good male swimmer for three years, an award-winning or medal-winning male swimmer before transitioning to be a woman.
00:20:40.000 To give an idea of the differences between men and women, which will soon be gone, they will just be swimming.
00:20:46.000 And all women who wanted to be athletes go find something else to do.
00:20:50.000 Good luck.
00:20:52.000 Thomas won with a time of 1559, 38 seconds ahead of the second place finisher.
00:21:03.000 There's no 38 seconds in swimming.
00:21:06.000 Maybe a couple seconds.
00:21:10.000 The man who is selfish and mentally disturbed set the new U.S. record Friday after winning the 500-yard freestyle time with four minutes, 34 seconds.
00:21:23.000 It set a new pool record, a Penn School record, an Ivy League record, and a U.S. record, beating two U.S. women's swimming records.
00:21:34.000 The man who thinks he was a woman achieved the fastest women's time in the 200-yard freestyle, finishing the race seven seconds faster.
00:21:44.000 Now, mind you, none of these records would be even close for men.
00:21:49.000 They'd be laughed at.
00:21:50.000 No medals, nothing.
00:21:52.000 He's a selfish, disturbed person.
00:21:56.000 Don't take my word for it.
00:21:57.000 New York Post writes, and they use the wrong gender.
00:22:03.000 They call him a her, which he isn't.
00:22:06.000 Leah Thomas, the swimmer who broke the record this past weekend, is not a hero.
00:22:10.000 He is selfish.
00:22:11.000 Why do we separate sports by gender?
00:22:13.000 Because the differences are obvious to anyone with eyes.
00:22:18.000 It goes on to say Kieran Smith of Florida won the men's 500-yard freestyle meet with a time of four minutes and six seconds.
00:22:27.000 Thomas competed as a male recently until 2009 as a woman setting records.
00:22:35.000 Transgender advocates want gender to be irrelevant.
00:22:38.000 They want the Olympics, the World Cup, the New York Marathon, and the Wimbledon all to be gender neutral.
00:22:46.000 They say it's all about acceptance.
00:22:51.000 Tolerance and apathy are signs of a dying society.
00:22:58.000 Aristotle.
00:23:00.000 You see, as soon as we allowed tolerance to be a value, the downfall started to go down.
00:23:08.000 It's almost baked into our nomenclature.
00:23:11.000 Don't you notice?
00:23:12.000 Well, you're not very tolerant.
00:23:14.000 So what?
00:23:14.000 Of course I'm not tolerant of men in women's sports.
00:23:17.000 Why would you be?
00:23:18.000 I'm intolerant of such things.
00:23:20.000 Hello, I'm also intolerant of child rapists, human traffickers, and arsonists.
00:23:26.000 Tolerance is a fake virtue.
00:23:31.000 It sounds good because no one wants to come across as intolerant.
00:23:36.000 Yeah, and I suppose in a different America, there was unfair discrimination towards individuals of all sorts, whether it be women or whatever.
00:23:50.000 And the kind of this came out of the tolerance movement came out of such behavior.
00:23:55.000 But like all things that stem from the political correct regime, such things of tolerance have now been that you're not allowed to question anything, that all things must be accepted equally.
00:24:10.000 Play Cut 55, Tucker on the Tranny Swimmer.
00:24:14.000 At the University of Pennsylvania, a biological man has decided to say that he's a woman, he's a swimmer, and he's destroyed the women's swimming records.
00:24:25.000 Of course, because he's a man, actually.
00:24:27.000 The swimmer goes by the name of Leah Thomas, competed for three years as a man before he decided to identify as a woman.
00:24:32.000 And in a recent women's competition, he just won a 500-yard freestyle by a full 14 seconds.
00:24:39.000 Now, if you swim or ever do a swimming, 14 seconds, that's time enough to get a beer and come back.
00:24:45.000 There's no 14-second differences between swimmers, but there are now.
00:24:49.000 It's amazing when you type in this man's name.
00:24:53.000 The New York Post is like the only mainstream outlet that actually calls it for what it is, which is a scam.
00:24:58.000 ESPN Sports Nation says, Leah Thomas, trans pen swimmer, sets two Ivy League records.
00:25:06.000 People magazine, swimmer Leah Thomas, who is transgender, continues to break women's records.
00:25:12.000 Dominating in sports, is what one says.
00:25:14.000 Give me a break.
00:25:15.000 Newsweek, who is Leah Thomas, trans swimmer, breaking college records, sparks debate?
00:25:20.000 There's no debate.
00:25:22.000 It's like saying 9-11 sparks debate.
00:25:24.000 Yeah, between us and ICE and the Taliban, I guess, and Al-Qaeda.
00:25:30.000 What kind of crazy coverage is that?
00:25:33.000 Sparks debate.
00:25:34.000 Yeah, I'm sure you could go find someone in the Middle East that was in favor of 9-11.
00:25:40.000 And no, I'm not comparing this to 9-11, okay?
00:25:44.000 For all the media matters people at home.
00:25:46.000 The point is that the way you cover something is incredibly important.
00:25:51.000 There is no debate here, okay?
00:25:53.000 If you support a man participating in women's sports, then make your position clear that you think women's sports should not exist.
00:26:01.000 It's that simple.
00:26:02.000 That gender differences are irrelevant, and that if you dare support them, then move on.
00:26:11.000 If anyone listening right now has daughters or young ladies in your life that are in sports or ever want to be just a woman and not transition, I would take this story pretty seriously.
00:26:27.000 I would love, I'm actually interested.
00:26:30.000 This is an open invitation to anyone from the Alphabet Mafia, the LGBTQSA, ISTUP, whatever the heck it's called, any member, card-carrying member of the Alphabet Mafia, you guys can come on our show anytime and defend this.
00:26:43.000 No, seriously, I will give you three minutes to defend, and I just want to ask some questions.
00:26:50.000 Anyone from the Rainbow Jihad, thank you.
00:26:53.000 That's what I was looking for.
00:26:57.000 And what is this, by the way?
00:26:58.000 What does that have to do with gay people?
00:27:00.000 Why does this always get looped together?
00:27:01.000 No, I mean that.
00:27:03.000 Why does someone who is gay get looped into some maniac who wants to go win medals and couldn't do it against men?
00:27:10.000 And by the way, let me be very clear.
00:27:11.000 This person deserves counseling and deserves treatment, hopefully pastoral treatment.
00:27:22.000 Sick.
00:27:23.000 Okay, I told you I'd pivot.
00:27:26.000 I got a serious question here.
00:27:28.000 And I want everyone to email us, freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:27:32.000 This is something I'm curious.
00:27:33.000 And I've asked all across the board.
00:27:35.000 I've asked economists, I've asked politicians who tend to not know much about this stuff.
00:27:40.000 I've asked employers, I've asked entrepreneurs, I've asked so many different people.
00:27:45.000 And there really isn't a good answer to this.
00:27:48.000 And it's from Breitbart.com, the wonderful Breitbart.com.
00:27:51.000 The Great Resignation.
00:27:52.000 Quitting remains near record high.
00:27:55.000 Americans quit their jobs in extremely high numbers in October.
00:27:59.000 Data from the Labor Department showed Wednesday.
00:28:01.000 The total number of workers who quit their jobs was 4.2 million people.
00:28:07.000 And this is the key point.
00:28:09.000 Economists are not quite sure why the high quits, what is driving the high-quitting phenomenon, which has been dubbed the great resignation.
00:28:17.000 Competition for workers among employers has heated up, making it easier to quit.
00:28:21.000 And so there's a couple of coffee shops in Scottsdale.
00:28:25.000 We will be closed temporarily from November 1st for six weeks.
00:28:30.000 We are hiring and training for all stores in Scottsdale that are currently understaffed.
00:28:35.000 Everywhere you go, people cannot find workers.
00:28:38.000 Where have they gone?
00:28:41.000 What other government benefit program or welfare program exists that I'm unaware of that is subsidizing this?
00:28:47.000 And I mean this.
00:28:49.000 If someone has an answer to this, freedom at charliekirk.com, please email us.
00:28:52.000 Some people say it's the stimulus money.
00:28:55.000 I don't know if that's that sustainable.
00:28:57.000 Some people say it's the unemployment benefits.
00:28:59.000 Those have allegedly expired.
00:29:01.000 Some people say that people are just comfortable not working anymore because it's so stressful.
00:29:06.000 Okay, that sounds reasonable.
00:29:08.000 But how is this not a story that investigative reporters are not looking more into?
00:29:13.000 It's one of the most, if nothing else, it's just interesting that no one can find workers for anything.
00:29:19.000 Restaurants, coffee shops, almost at every single sector, the complaint is, I cannot find workers, even though wages are higher than they ever have been.
00:29:30.000 And yet people are quitting jobs in record rates.
00:29:33.000 Where are they going?
00:29:37.000 Quits in accommodation and food services fell to 803,000 from 838,000 a month earlier.
00:29:42.000 This is the third highest level of quits for this sector.
00:29:46.000 The record high was hit in August at 867,000, 6% of workers in the sector.
00:29:51.000 And I'm going to be honest, I think if anyone says they know what's going on, assuredly, I think it's probably a piece.
00:29:56.000 I think it's 10 or 12 different components or pieces that need to be put together.
00:30:02.000 There is no overwhelming answer to this.
00:30:11.000 The figure comes from the labor department's monthly job openings and labor turnover survey.
00:30:17.000 Quitting is defined when a worker voluntarily leaves a job.
00:30:20.000 They're in a historically elevated level since this summer.
00:30:24.000 So we have things that cost more than ever before, inflation.
00:30:27.000 We have a supply chain crisis like we've never seen before.
00:30:31.000 We have double-digit inflation, and yet people are quitting their jobs.
00:30:37.000 Is it part of the stimulus package that's still left over?
00:30:42.000 Or the best explanation I've heard is people are just basically depressed and giving up, and they think work is contributing to their depression.
00:30:51.000 That's the best answer I've heard.
00:30:54.000 That most of this is lower wage workers and younger people.
00:30:56.000 They want nothing to do with it.
00:30:58.000 And they said, I'm done working.
00:30:59.000 I'm done.
00:31:02.000 Well, if that's the case, we have a whole different set of circumstances and problems.
00:31:05.000 Now, by the way, it's not that we don't have the workers, it's that workers don't want to work.
00:31:13.000 I can't imagine how that one's going to play out long term.
00:31:16.000 And again, I really want to hear your thoughts.
00:31:19.000 What is driving this great resignation?
00:31:21.000 Quitting remaining a near record high.
00:31:25.000 On CNBC, the panel of people say, well, it's because we have all these new entrepreneurs.
00:31:29.000 Yeah, that's not it, obviously.
00:31:31.000 Some people say, yeah, it's because the economy is so good, people are able to quit.
00:31:34.000 Yeah, that's not it either.
00:31:36.000 There's something going on here of this vanishing workforce.
00:31:40.000 And someone has to have the answer up there.
00:31:42.000 Freedom at CharlieKirk.com.

00:33:13.000 Laura emails, hi, Charlie.
00:33:14.000 I think a big part of what is driving this is the vaccine mandate.
00:33:16.000 The vaccine seems to be very dangerous to young people, so they decided to wait this out.
00:33:22.000 Another email here: people are quitting their jobs because they're told they have to get the vaccine.
00:33:26.000 Here's one.
00:33:27.000 Hello, I'm a self-employed carpenter and a director here in Northeast South Dakota.
00:33:31.000 We are in an extremely rural state, as I'm sure you know.
00:33:34.000 The government program that is lowering people away from employers here is called the Farm Program.
00:33:40.000 Wives are quitting their jobs in droves to stay at home and live off the welfare checks that the farmers are getting through the farm program.
00:33:48.000 Getting a lot of emails kind of similar to that theme.
00:33:52.000 And I just think it's generally very interesting.
00:33:55.000 And it's fascinating how you have this worker shortage, and there hasn't been a definitive answer.
00:34:04.000 Everyone knows it's happening.
00:34:06.000 A lot of people are covering it.
00:34:08.000 I mean, the Wall Street Journal's talked about it in great length, but they haven't really been able to explain it.
00:34:13.000 One explanation from Wall Street Journal is that Amazon unsettles labor markets.
00:34:18.000 Wages rise when e-commerce giant comes to town, but so does worker turnover, obviously.
00:34:24.000 And it says companies plan hefty raises for workers to try to keep workers.
00:34:29.000 Obviously, as inflation kicks in.
00:34:34.000 Okay, I want to get to a story here.
00:34:36.000 So Hillary Clinton is doing a lot of media lately.
00:34:40.000 Maybe she's involved in one of these pending investigations.
00:34:43.000 I don't know.
00:34:43.000 Who knows?
00:34:44.000 Hillary Clinton should be in jail.
00:34:45.000 She isn't.
00:34:46.000 But I don't know who thought this would be a good idea where Hillary Clinton, she decided to read her would-have-been 2016 victory speech.
00:34:59.000 Yeah, I don't understand who thought this would be a good idea.
00:35:02.000 Play cut 62, Hillary Clinton.
00:35:05.000 I dream of going up to her and sitting down next to her, taking her in my arms and saying, look at me, listen to me.
00:35:17.000 You will survive.
00:35:20.000 You will have a good family of your own and three children.
00:35:25.000 And as hard as it might be to imagine, your daughter will grow up and become the president of the United States.
00:35:36.000 You're not supposed to laugh at people's misery, but it's Hillary.
00:35:41.000 Okay, cut 68.
00:35:43.000 For the first time ever, anywhere, the 45th President of the United States of America, Donald Trump.
00:35:52.000 I am so sorry.
00:35:54.000 To my world.
00:35:55.000 I am so sorry to my world.
00:35:57.000 This is not what we want.
00:36:00.000 We will face this.
00:36:02.000 There's so much potential.
00:36:05.000 We will get the job done.
00:36:07.000 For beauty and for devastation.
00:36:10.000 In this one moment, it's almost incomprehensible that they can exist right now.
00:36:15.000 So close.
00:36:19.000 Okay, so this is just some random woman screaming on the side of the street because Hillary Clinton lost.
00:36:25.000 You've probably seen that memed over and over again.
00:36:29.000 I don't know why Hillary is doing so much media lately.
00:36:32.000 There must be some reason for that.
00:36:35.000 All right, finally, for all you listening on AM560, the answer, I promise you, and I'm just teasing it.
00:36:40.000 We're teasing, right, Connor?
