00:02:29.000 That's why we are here.
00:02:32.000 Hey, everybody.
00:02:33.000 Welcome to this episode of the Charlie Kirk Show.
00:02:35.000 With us is an American icon and someone who I really look up to and I've been wanting to talk to for quite some time, Phil Robertson, who is the author of a new book called Uncanceled.
00:02:45.000 Phil, welcome to the Charlie Kirk Show.
00:02:46.000 It's an honor to have you.
00:02:48.000 And tell us a little bit about your book.
00:02:51.000 Well, it's good to be here.
00:02:54.000 I wrote this one for the saved in America, finding meaning and peace with what's going on in a culture of accusations, shame, and condemnation.
00:03:11.000 I'd never heard of a cancel culture for a while until one day a guy walked in front of me.
00:03:17.000 That's about seven or eight years ago.
00:03:19.000 He walked up to my chair.
00:03:21.000 They said he was a reporter from a magazine.
00:03:25.000 And I said, what magazine are you with?
00:03:28.000 He said, GQ magazine.
00:03:30.000 I said, what is that?
00:03:31.000 What's the GQ stand for?
00:03:33.000 He said, Gentleman's Quarterly.
00:03:35.000 I said, Gentlemen's Quarterly.
00:03:38.000 So he asked me a question.
00:03:40.000 Did I believe homosexual behavior was a sin?
00:03:44.000 And I quoted 1 Corinthians chapter 9, verse 6.
00:03:50.000 So when I did that, they turned on me and they tried to cancel me, Kirk.
00:03:56.000 They tried to cancel me, but I thought, well, I'm still here.
00:04:03.000 So I wrote the book so that the people who are saved will not get shook up when they come at them.
00:04:11.000 And they're coming.
00:04:12.000 They are coming.
00:04:14.000 And so this reporter, he just kind of scoots up to you.
00:04:17.000 And he obviously had an agenda.
00:04:18.000 He wanted to try to destroy you and cancel you.
00:04:22.000 So you've seen America kind of decline in this respect in the last couple of decades.
00:04:30.000 What are we supposed to make of cancel culture where it's now journalists' incentives to try to go around and destroy people's lives?
00:04:36.000 I mean, it's actually really unhealthy for our country.
00:04:39.000 And walk us through that.
00:04:41.000 The answer is this.
00:04:43.000 I had a college professor who taught history for 40 years.
00:04:48.000 I said, get all the empires that there ever was.
00:04:54.000 I want to know all of the empires all the way up to America, China, Russia, India, the four.
00:05:03.000 That's for probably the biggest one standing.
00:05:06.000 So I said, I want to know about all of the empires and what happened to them.
00:05:11.000 Without fail, every single one of them collapsed.
00:05:18.000 All of them.
00:05:20.000 And the more I read in the Bible, the more I see why what's happening in our culture, a lot of them don't realize it.
00:05:29.000 But listen to this.
00:05:31.000 I mean, if you want to talk about something that's sad, you got to remember, I'm not mad.
00:05:37.000 I'm sad.
00:05:40.000 Since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, Romans 1.
00:05:47.000 You're like, uh-oh.
00:05:48.000 Look, there hasn't been any God in the school system, the universities, in high school, junior high.
00:05:57.000 I mean, you can't even pray to the God of heaven.
00:06:01.000 60 years.
00:06:03.000 It's been that way.
00:06:06.000 When you don't think it's worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, just listen to this.
00:06:11.000 He gave them over to a depraved mind to do what ought not to be done.
00:06:18.000 They've become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed, depravity.
00:06:24.000 They're full of envy, murder.
00:06:27.000 They slaughter their own children in the womb.
00:06:30.000 Strife, deceit, malice.
00:06:33.000 They are gossips, slanderers, God haters, insolent, arrogant, and boastful.
00:06:40.000 They invent ways of doing evil.
00:06:42.000 They disobey their parents.
00:06:44.000 They're senseless, faithless, heartless, and ruthless.
00:06:48.000 And think about it.
00:06:50.000 One came to set me up at my door.
00:06:52.000 He had one thing on his agenda.
00:06:55.000 Take him out.
00:06:59.000 So if you look at it logically, you say the next phase we're going to go through, unless something is done about it.
00:07:09.000 And I don't think it's a political fix, my man.
00:07:12.000 I think it's a spiritual fix.
00:07:14.000 I don't think the government flawed men in positions of power.
00:07:18.000 I don't think they're going to buy into Jesus wholesale.
00:07:22.000 So I think probably one at a time, two at a time, then there's 10, then there are 100.
00:07:30.000 Only with an awareness of God.
00:07:33.000 Love God and love your neighbor are the two greatest commands in the Bible, and they're scoffed at.
00:07:39.000 Those two texts out there, those two things, love of God and love your neighbor, it's a big deal, my man.
00:07:48.000 I couldn't agree more.
00:07:50.000 And, you know, in Romans 1, you would go through the same period of time of the sexual revolution, 1960s.
00:07:56.000 And then you had the kind of fornication moment, which you're not allowed to say.
00:08:02.000 And then you have gender confusion, which is what is happening now.
00:08:05.000 Yep.
00:08:06.000 Romans 1 walks through all of that.
00:08:08.000 So look, you got the Apostle Paul talking to Timothy, a preacher.
00:08:16.000 Young Timothy.
00:08:17.000 Young Timmy.
00:08:17.000 Yeah.
00:08:18.000 Mark this, meaning whatever you do, don't forget this.
00:08:22.000 There will be terrible times in the last days.
00:08:25.000 Let's see if we're in them yet.
00:08:27.000 People will be lovers of themselves.
00:08:31.000 Huh.
00:08:32.000 Lovers of money.
00:08:36.000 They are boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful.
00:08:45.000 I mean, ball players making millions of dollars.
00:08:48.000 You're like, they won't even stand when the flag is being shown and the Star-Spangled Banner.
00:08:56.000 You're like, they're making millions of dollars.
00:09:00.000 They are ungrateful, unholy, without love.
00:09:04.000 And guess what?
00:09:06.000 Unforgiving.
00:09:08.000 The council crowd looks at whom it can pounce on for a mistake.
00:09:16.000 They're looking for sin, and they themselves are full of sin.
00:09:21.000 So you have sinners chasing sinners, and they're looking back in history.
00:09:28.000 And if someone made a mistake, they wouldn't forgive them till Jesus comes back.
00:09:34.000 They're not going to forgive them.
00:09:36.000 And when you start looking at it logically, you say, without forgiveness, how in the world is this culture going to make it?
00:09:43.000 So I only bring it up to let you know that all of these great empires collapse.
00:09:49.000 And this one will be no different than the rest of them.
00:09:53.000 So it scares me if you know what I'm saying.
00:09:56.000 It does.
00:09:57.000 And so, you know, if you believe we're in the end times, there's a couple different ways to look at that.
00:10:01.000 And I'd love your perspective on it because eschatology can sometimes be an excuse for inaction where people believe that the world's falling apart.
00:10:10.000 You know, the house is on fire.
00:10:13.000 Let's get the kids out.
00:10:14.000 Jesus is coming next Thursday.
00:10:15.000 We're not going to talk about this stuff.
00:10:17.000 We're not going to contest for truth.
00:10:19.000 What does the Bible say?
00:10:20.000 What do you believe we have to do?
00:10:22.000 Even if you think things are falling into place, not falling apart.
00:10:25.000 Here's what we're going to have to do.
00:10:27.000 The fruit of the spirit.
00:10:30.000 Well, let me give you the negative first.
00:10:34.000 Oh, that's right.
00:10:35.000 It comes right before it, before love, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness and self-control.
00:10:41.000 Yeah.
00:10:41.000 You say the acts of the sinful nature are obvious.
00:10:44.000 Let's see if it's we're here in the United States yet.
00:10:48.000 Top of the list, sexual immorality.
00:10:51.000 I like to tell you, man, you can't even watch a ball game these days without some chick the booze flying up and down.
00:10:58.000 I said, hey, I just want to watch a ball game.
00:11:01.000 Why don't we just get away from that for a couple of hours?
00:11:07.000 Witchcraft, idolatry, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissension, factions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and the like.
00:11:19.000 But the fruit of the spirit, love, joy, patience, which you mentioned, you say, we have to do that in front of our neighbor.
00:11:26.000 Look, these guys have tried to cancel me.
00:11:29.000 Charlie, I'm not mad at them.
00:11:34.000 I haven't retaliated.
00:11:36.000 I'm just trying to get them to see that all their sins could be removed if they'd just come to Jesus.
00:11:42.000 They could be raised from the dead.
00:11:44.000 I've never heard a story that dealt with immortality like this one.
00:11:49.000 And so I'm trying to get them.
00:11:51.000 I'm like, why don't you just stop a minute and think all your sins in the Avalat are removed and you're guaranteed you can be raised from the dead.
00:12:00.000 Why wouldn't at least you investigate how that came to be?
00:12:05.000 And I said, take a look at Jesus Christ.
00:12:08.000 2020 years ago, 22, he came in flesh.
00:12:13.000 And for the life of me, our calendars are based on him.
00:12:18.000 And they won't investigate him and follow him.
00:12:21.000 So until they do, this empire will collapse like the rest of them.
00:12:26.000 I'm trying to head it off.
00:12:29.000 And the question is, you know, what can we do about it?
00:12:31.000 What can we preserve?
00:12:33.000 And should we still attempt to try and conserve the land that we're in?
00:12:37.000 In Jeremiah 29, 7, it says, please go ahead.
00:12:42.000 I'm just saying, governments have to have them.
00:12:47.000 If you have a constitutional republic, you're way ahead of the other ones.
00:12:51.000 You're in good shape.
00:12:52.000 Why destroy it?
00:12:54.000 Because governments, I understand, they can't remove our sin, yours or mine.
00:13:00.000 They can't remove our sin, and they can't raise us from the dead.
00:13:04.000 So my allegiance is to Jesus Christ.
00:13:07.000 But you say, but you're trying, as the founding fathers did.
00:13:12.000 It was John Adams who said, what if you picked a place in the world and had an empire out there?
00:13:18.000 And they all had the Bible as their directive and the way to live.
00:13:22.000 And they all loved God and love their neighbor.
00:13:24.000 What a utopia that would be.
00:13:26.000 Our founders, they knew what was going on, and they gave us the greatest country on earth.
00:13:32.000 And we about screwed this thing up with all these edicts from the government.
00:13:37.000 No God in the school system or anywhere else, really.
00:13:41.000 So to the saved, we either have to change the minds of our neighbors, live a godly life so that they see, or we just have to trust in God and take our chances, no matter what happens to the country.
00:13:55.000 Amen.
00:13:56.000 Well, you, you know your Bible, my friend.
00:13:58.000 Tell us about your story.
00:14:00.000 How did you find Jesus?
00:14:01.000 It's a pretty amazing and moving testimony.
00:14:04.000 I was a child of the 60s.
00:14:07.000 Uh-oh.
00:14:08.000 And look, I'm running around like a dog chasing his tail, smoking dope, getting drunk, and getting laid.
00:14:17.000 Not in that particular order, but that was pretty well the way what worked.
00:14:22.000 And you say, at 28, I ran Miss K off, my family and my kids run them off.
00:14:28.000 And I had a moment and they tried to send an old guy down there as I'm preacher.
00:14:33.000 And a year earlier, I said, where is that dude?
00:14:36.000 I want to talk to him some more.
00:14:37.000 And he's the one that pointed me to Jesus.
00:14:39.000 And I read about him.
00:14:40.000 And I said, well, what in the world am I doing?
00:14:43.000 So I repented and I turned to Jesus at that point.
00:14:47.000 And it goes without saying, I've been mightily blessed financially and spiritually.
00:14:54.000 I know it will work.
00:14:55.000 It worked with me and others that I've met through the years.
00:14:58.000 So we just point them to Jesus one at a time.
00:15:01.000 Maybe if enough of us do that, and I'm hoping everyone will, we just, they keep coming from what we do on that podcast.
00:15:10.000 They come down all the way to Louisiana.
00:15:13.000 Some of them said they're from Samoa.
00:15:15.000 And I said, Samoa?
00:15:16.000 I said, y'all come a long way.
00:15:18.000 That 500 miles northeast of New Zealand.
00:15:22.000 I said, what are y'all doing here?
00:15:23.000 They said, we just want to talk to you, Mr. Robinson.
00:15:26.000 Why don't you baptize us?
00:15:27.000 So they come all the way down there.
00:15:29.000 We baptize them.
00:15:31.000 I've never worn a mask except when I was a little boy playing, you know, Roy Rogers, the Westerns.
00:15:38.000 I've never worn a mask.
00:15:40.000 And I'm not much on the six-foot ruling and all that.
00:15:43.000 I never caught the virus, but I had plenty of opportunities that I've caught it.
00:15:48.000 That's one thing for sure.
00:15:50.000 But I'm just trying to do it by pointing to Jesus, live a life worthy of my calling.
00:15:55.000 If enough of us do that, I would think we could get their attention.
00:15:59.000 Well, amen.
00:16:00.000 So, your child of the 60s, not in any particular order, but you said drug sex and rock and roll or whatever.
00:16:08.000 I'm not judging.
00:16:09.000 That's fine.
00:16:11.000 And but this is an important point because this current younger generation, we have a lot of younger listeners, a lot of younger viewers.
00:16:18.000 They're living through a similar, but in some ways different type of generational moment that is inundated with marijuana and you know alcohol and kind of a pleasure-focused society.
00:16:30.000 Talk about how that actually really is an empty way to live.
00:16:35.000 Well, it won't give you peace of mind.
00:16:39.000 Only the Spirit of God does that.
00:16:41.000 In other words, if you do what's right, Philippians 4:7.
00:16:44.000 That's right.
00:16:45.000 You bet you.
00:16:45.000 I like 1 John over there because he makes an interesting statement that's kind of an eye-opener.
00:16:53.000 1 John, where does it be?
00:16:55.000 Let's see.
00:16:57.000 Here's something interesting.
00:16:59.000 This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God.
00:17:03.000 And every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God.
00:17:10.000 So start with Jesus.
00:17:11.000 Every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God.
00:17:17.000 So pick your soulmates carefully.
00:17:21.000 This is the spirit of the Antichrist, the ones who don't believe in Jesus, which you heard is coming and even now is already in the world.
00:17:30.000 So he was there 2,000 years ago when this was written.
00:17:34.000 Check this out.
00:17:35.000 You, dear children, here's what I would tell an 18-year-old college-age person right now: you, dear children, the saved, are from God and have overcome them because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
00:17:54.000 You say, We have the edge here.
00:17:58.000 If Jesus is out of your equation, you don't have the edge on them.
00:18:01.000 Watch.
00:18:03.000 They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world.
00:18:08.000 And the world listens to them.
00:18:10.000 That's the ones that are canceling people.
00:18:13.000 Just run of the meal people.
00:18:15.000 We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us.
00:18:20.000 But whoever is not from God does not listen to us.
00:18:26.000 This is how you can recognize the spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.
00:18:34.000 Do they put their faith in Jesus?
00:18:36.000 So to the young bucks, I say, and I've talked to many, many, many, I just point them to Jesus and say, because of what Jesus has done for us and who we are, he's the king of a spiritual kingdom inside of the Constitutional Republic.
00:18:53.000 We're operating under King Jesus.
00:18:56.000 He's the one that dictates how we roll, and we roll that way.
00:19:00.000 You can overcome the world if you do that because judgment one day is coming.
00:19:05.000 The problem with America, listen to this.
00:19:11.000 You therefore have no excuse, Romans chapter 2.
00:19:16.000 You who pass judgment on someone else.
00:19:20.000 I told you a while ago, sinners attacking sinful men, but a lot of saved men and women.
00:19:28.000 You who pass judgment on someone else, whatever point you judge the other, you are condemning yourself because you who pass judgment on others do the same things.
00:19:43.000 So we can't get into the cancellation business.
00:19:47.000 As Christians, I'm a follower of Jesus, but I'm never going to stand up and say, well, I'm going to judge you and you can't.
00:19:54.000 I'm just going to point them to Jesus.
00:19:56.000 I'm going to love God and I'm going to love my neighbor.
00:20:00.000 And I say, look, if you ever thought about following Jesus, look, this is who he is.
00:20:04.000 This is what he said.
00:20:05.000 This is what he did.
00:20:07.000 This is what he's now doing.
00:20:09.000 This is what he will do.
00:20:11.000 And I point him to Jesus.
00:20:12.000 And amazingly, many young bucks thank me all the time for stopping and showing them the way.
00:20:21.000 And that will set them free.
00:20:22.000 And so they tried to cancel you.
00:20:24.000 They failed miserably, but it was probably a chapter that you could describe as a trial.
00:20:32.000 Talk about what the scriptures say about trials.
00:20:34.000 We should be thankful in trials.
00:20:36.000 James 1:5, that we should pray generously for wisdom and God will give it abundantly.
00:20:41.000 And it's right near there all about persecution.
00:20:43.000 Talk about how the scriptures help you through that and how it actually gives you comfort because we're promised persecution.
00:20:48.000 So get this in your head, all you young bucks out there.
00:20:52.000 The Lord's servant, I'm one of them, must not quarrel.
00:20:58.000 You're like, hmm.
00:20:59.000 So you're not going to sit there, yeah, yeah, yeah, with somebody.
00:21:02.000 Nope.
00:21:02.000 Instead, you young bucks listening, he must be kind to everyone.
00:21:09.000 You say, kind to everyone, even your enemies, kind to everyone.
00:21:15.000 Able to teach, know where to find the verses and know what Jesus said.
00:21:20.000 Jesus said, Hey, if they hated me, they're going to hate you too.
00:21:25.000 Every person who lives a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.
00:21:30.000 Just take it as a badge of honor.
00:21:33.000 So, able to teach if the Lord's servant is his Lord's servant, not resentful.
00:21:39.000 Those who oppose him, always opposition.
00:21:43.000 We have plenty, cancer culture one.
00:21:45.000 He must gently instruct.
00:21:49.000 You just can't slam them over the head with the Bible and beat it into their head.
00:21:54.000 So you are gently instructing them in the hope that God will grant them repentance, leading them to a knowledge of the truth.
00:22:04.000 Jesus died, was buried, and raised from the dead, and that they will come to their senses.
00:22:10.000 Now, the serious part and escape from the trap of the devil who's taken them captive to do his will.
00:22:20.000 So I have to do this carefully.
00:22:23.000 That's why I'm sad about what the cancel culture does, but I'm not mad at them.
00:22:29.000 And I don't view them as my enemies.
00:22:32.000 And even if I did, I'd still love them.
00:22:35.000 I'd love them, show them Jesus by my life and my words, and go on down the road and tell some more.
00:22:45.000 So let's talk about that idea of love.
00:22:46.000 I think some Christians agree with you and they'll say, well, Mr. Phil, you say we should love people, love God, love God, love people, the two commandments.
00:22:55.000 Then why is it that you have some bad things?
00:22:58.000 Not they'll say bad things or controversial things to say about people in a homosexual lifestyle.
00:23:03.000 Why don't you love them, Mr. Phil?
00:23:05.000 Yep, I love them, but I think there's a better life for them and immortality is hanging in the balance.
00:23:15.000 Let no debt, this is Romans 13, let no debt pay your debts.
00:23:23.000 Let no debt remain outstanding, except now just think about this, the continuing debt to love one another.
00:23:35.000 For he who loves his fellow man, here is something profound, has fulfilled the law.
00:23:44.000 You're like, how in the world could you feel the law?
00:23:46.000 And all these don't do this, do this, don't do that.
00:23:49.000 How could you fulfill that by loving your neighbor?
00:23:54.000 If you love him, you won't mess with his woman.
00:23:57.000 If you love him, you're not going to shoot him.
00:24:00.000 And if you love him, when he makes a mistake, you would forgive him.
00:24:05.000 And on Therefore, the commandments: do not commit adultery, do not murder, do not steal, do not covet, and whatever other commandments there are in the entire Bible, I'll add, summed up in this one rule: love your neighbor as yourself.
00:24:30.000 And here's the kicker.
00:24:32.000 And this flies in the face of this counterculture crowd.
00:24:37.000 Love does no harm to its neighbor.
00:24:42.000 You're like, that's right.
00:24:46.000 Love does no harm.
00:24:47.000 Ember, you say, we have a love deficit in these United States of America.
00:24:53.000 It's a love deficit, my man.
00:24:56.000 Therefore, love is the fulfillment of the law.
00:25:01.000 All of those, all of those don't do, do this.
00:25:04.000 You say, just love God and love each other.
00:25:08.000 I don't see the downside to it for young or old.
00:25:12.000 I do not see the downside with your life characterized by loving God and loving your neighbor.
00:25:19.000 Do you?
00:25:20.000 No, I think you're spot on.
00:25:22.000 And sometimes love means we have to tell people the truth.
00:25:26.000 And also, we conflate the different types of love in America: agape, phileo, eros, and storge, all sorts of different types of love in the Greek, a romantic love, eros, storge, a parent-child love, phileo, a brotherly love, or agape, a sacrificial love.
00:25:44.000 And I believe Paul was using agape in this particular, or he might have been using phileo or story, I can't remember, but definitely John 3:16 is agape.
00:25:54.000 Talk about how sometimes the loving thing is to tell the truth.
00:25:58.000 Well, you shall know the truth.
00:26:02.000 If you hold to my teaching, then you're really my disciples.
00:26:07.000 Then you'll know the truth, and the truth will set you free.
00:26:12.000 Well, they started arguing with Jesus when he told a group of individuals this, and they said, What are you talking about?
00:26:17.000 We're not slaves, anyone.
00:26:19.000 He said, Everyone who sins is a slave to sin.
00:26:22.000 So, let me get this right.
00:26:24.000 The truth sets you free.
00:26:26.000 You come to Jesus, set you free from Satan.
00:26:30.000 You say, Woo!
00:26:32.000 Set you free from sin, every mistake you've ever made.
00:26:36.000 You're free from that.
00:26:38.000 Set you free from guilt that usually comes with an immoral lifestyle.
00:26:47.000 Set you free from law, having to be perfect.
00:26:51.000 Jesus comes down in flesh, keeps the law.
00:26:55.000 He wrote it, but he kept it, and turned around and died to get us out from under.
00:27:01.000 Put us under grace.
00:27:02.000 You're like, what a great thing.
00:27:04.000 And the last thing it sets you free from, the truth, set you free from the grave.
00:27:10.000 Everybody's going to go six foot deep, or they're going to have burn them to ashes.
00:27:17.000 But you say, there is a guaranteed built-in resurrection from the dead on what Jesus did when he showed up.
00:27:26.000 So I've asked atheists and this one and that one, the other, I understand what y'all are going through.
00:27:33.000 understand that you're a little bit bad, but look, is there a downside to following Jesus?
00:27:40.000 I mean, do you have a better story?
00:27:43.000 What's your story?
00:27:45.000 I have a story about God making the cosmos, coming down in flesh a couple thousand years ago, dying on a cross to pay for my rotten sorry hide, and guaranteed I'd be raised from the dead.
00:28:01.000 gives me his spirit so I can live a spiritual life with help from him while I'm here.
00:28:07.000 I just don't see the downside to it.
00:28:10.000 And I ask them, do they have a better story?
00:28:12.000 Most of them say, we do not have a better story.
00:28:17.000 It is the only worldview that promises bodily resurrection.
00:28:21.000 That's it.
00:28:22.000 That's why I follow Jesus and write a book from time to time.
00:28:26.000 Amen.
00:28:27.000 Well, I just got married back in May.
00:28:29.000 A lot of young people are afraid to get married.
00:28:31.000 Talk a little bit about marriage.
00:28:32.000 Talk about, should young people get married?
00:28:35.000 Is it something that's worthwhile pursuing?
00:28:38.000 Well, so everyone to know, I hope all you young folks are listening to this because I know it's going to surprise you.
00:28:46.000 If you marry, you've not sinned.
00:28:49.000 This is 1 Corinthians 7, and usually it gets a lag, but it is a serious thing.
00:28:56.000 If you do marry, you have not seen.
00:28:58.000 And if a virgin marries, she's not sinned.
00:29:01.000 But all you young bucks out there and young ladies, listen to this.
00:29:06.000 Those who marry will face many troubles in this life.
00:29:11.000 And I want to spare you that.
00:29:15.000 Everybody said, wait a minute here.
00:29:18.000 You mean it's built in that I will face more troubles if I marry than if I don't marry.
00:29:23.000 There'll be some more troubles.
00:29:25.000 You'll have more troubles.
00:29:27.000 So Dan over here, Dan, the eunuch, I call him.
00:29:30.000 Dan doesn't date.
00:29:31.000 Dan doesn't, he hadn't married anybody.
00:29:34.000 And his daddy was kind of the same way.
00:29:36.000 And I asked him one day, I said, his daddy's name is Gary.
00:29:40.000 I said, Gary, this was way before Dan was born.
00:29:44.000 I said, Gary, I've never heard you say an unkind word.
00:29:49.000 I've never seen you make a mistake.
00:29:51.000 So I've got it down to a couple of things.
00:29:53.000 You are either some kind of angelic being sent down here to spy on us, or you're squirrely, one or the other.
00:30:01.000 Which one is it?
00:30:02.000 He said, I'm not squirrely.
00:30:05.000 He said, I've learned to buffet my dotted body and keep it in check.
00:30:09.000 And he says, therefore, he said, I'm good to go.
00:30:14.000 No troubles.
00:30:15.000 I said, there's a girl up there at church, one of the sisters.
00:30:19.000 She's just like you are.
00:30:20.000 Read your Bible, but no dating, nothing.
00:30:23.000 Gary ain't dated no one for years.
00:30:26.000 Never talked about winning ever.
00:30:29.000 So he starts dating this woman, Pam, and they marry.
00:30:35.000 Well, Dan and his brother came from that marriage.
00:30:38.000 One of them married, got a bunch of kids.
00:30:40.000 Dan over there, he decided to be a eunuch.
00:30:44.000 He renounced marriage.
00:30:45.000 He said, no marriage for me.
00:30:47.000 Jesus said, there's three kinds of people who are eunuchs.
00:30:50.000 Some are born that way.
00:30:52.000 That was Dan.
00:30:54.000 Some are made that way, unfortunately.
00:30:57.000 And the third one is some don't marry like the Apostle Paul because of the kingdom of God and all the work he's got to do and the danger of it all.
00:31:05.000 He just said, I'll forego marriage.
00:31:07.000 So you young bucks remember that.
00:31:10.000 You know, it's okay if you don't want to marry.
00:31:13.000 All I can say is it's cheaper to roll by yourself.
00:31:17.000 No doubt about that.
00:31:19.000 And my man here, old Kirk, has learned that the hard way because he's married now.
00:31:23.000 He's sucking out a little more bread than he was.
00:31:26.000 Right?
00:31:27.000 That's right.
00:31:28.000 You can say that again.
00:31:30.000 So, you know, kind of in closing here, you keep referencing the scriptures and the Bible's under a lot of attack.
00:31:37.000 They've removed the Ten Commandments from courtrooms, schools, public areas.
00:31:42.000 Talk about the word of God.
00:31:43.000 Talk about the one story with one author in 66 separate books.
00:31:48.000 It's something that many of our listeners are not even familiar with.
00:31:51.000 What has it meant for your life?
00:31:52.000 And talk about it.
00:31:53.000 Yeah, it's such a great story that when you look at all the texts and add them all up, 41 people, I think, 40, 41 put all this together.
00:32:02.000 I don't see how that many individuals could have ended up and all the prophets making all these predictions, hundreds of years, thousands of years.
00:32:13.000 Genesis 3, 15, it starts out, talking to Satan, man has just fallen.
00:32:20.000 Someone from the seed of a woman will crush your head before this is over.
00:32:26.000 One little statement.
00:32:28.000 And you just follow that all the way to Jesus.
00:32:32.000 It is astounding how that many people could have made that many predictions and tell the same story.
00:32:40.000 It's just not possible, I don't think, unless it was inspired from God.
00:32:44.000 So I just looked at all of it and added it all up.
00:32:47.000 And I said, you know what?
00:32:49.000 I think I'll just follow God and take my chances with him.
00:32:53.000 All scripture is God-breathed.
00:32:55.000 It's useful for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting and training in righteousness so that the man of God will be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
00:33:07.000 This is really a healthy thing, your Bible, and you're applying the principles to it.
00:33:12.000 There's just no mistakes there.
00:33:14.000 That's just all there is to it.
00:33:15.000 It's a wonderful book, great book.
00:33:19.000 And I wish we had more people in our country that took it seriously and studied it and pondered over it and prayed over it.
00:33:27.000 Yep.
00:33:28.000 That's why Jesus said, seek me, seek me, find me, find me.
00:33:33.000 And I would tell all the younger people that listen to the show there, I would just tell them, you get out and you seek God, begin to put these scriptures into practice, and you'll grow in the faith as you can give your life to it.
00:33:46.000 Just remember, all of us are going to go six feet deep in a hole.
00:33:51.000 This is the answer that gives you hope.
00:33:54.000 It's the only thing I've found since I've been on planet Earth that gives you hope beyond the grave.
00:34:00.000 Check him out.
00:34:02.000 So any other little nuggets of wisdom for our nation's youth, young people that you're talking straight to a millions of them.
00:34:09.000 What do you have to say?
00:34:11.000 I would just get out there and I would roam through the woods like I do.
00:34:14.000 I drive to town.
00:34:16.000 Let me tell you, young people, something.
00:34:17.000 I know you think this is crazy.
00:34:19.000 I've never purchased a cell phone.
00:34:21.000 I don't own one.
00:34:22.000 Never had one.
00:34:24.000 I've never turned on a computer.
00:34:26.000 Dan is the computer man.
00:34:28.000 He sets this all up, these things we do.
00:34:31.000 But I personally have never clicked on the internet or anywhere else.
00:34:37.000 Now, I might be just a little too far out there, but I'll give you this.
00:34:42.000 It is a lot more quieter.
00:34:47.000 And everybody I ask, what am I missing?
00:34:50.000 They say, Robinson, you're really not missing that much.
00:34:54.000 So I just didn't want to deal with all of the people.
00:34:57.000 And I get cursed enough as it is.
00:35:00.000 So if you're cursing me or don't like me, trust me when I tell you, I'm not getting that info.
00:35:06.000 I'm computer-free.
00:35:09.000 Yeah, I would encourage a lot of young people to disconnect and unplug.
00:35:13.000 One final time.
00:35:14.000 The book is called Uncancelable.
00:35:17.000 Any other thoughts on the book you wanted to talk?
00:35:18.000 I know we talked about a lot of other stuff except the book.
00:35:21.000 Most of them that have read these first copies, they've really said that, you know, Robinson, that is a hard argument to get around finding meaning.
00:35:30.000 Jesus, when we all sin to begin with, when we get old enough to sin, we sin, he cancels us.
00:35:37.000 All have sinned.
00:35:38.000 The wages of sin is death.
00:35:40.000 So he's canceled us.
00:35:42.000 And when you come to him by faith, he uncancels you and says, you're good to go.
00:35:49.000 Love God, love your neighbor are the only two things.
00:35:52.000 Look, a lot of people think it's laborious with all these laws.
00:35:57.000 All they have to remember is all that's required here is just love God and love your neighbor.
00:36:02.000 Everything's going to be okay.
00:36:04.000 You'll be fine.
00:36:05.000 You don't have to get here and do every little thing, feel guilty every time you get up by mistakes you made.
00:36:11.000 You just get up, give them to Jesus.
00:36:13.000 He's at the right hand of the Father mediating for us.
00:36:16.000 So no past sins are counted against us.
00:36:18.000 No future sins are counted against us.
00:36:21.000 We just confess them and he removes them.
00:36:24.000 You're like, boy, he's made us a good deal here.
00:36:28.000 I'm just saying, it's a great deal.
00:36:32.000 Well, thank you so much for sharing your wisdom.
00:36:32.000 Well said.
00:36:35.000 And the book is uncancelable.
00:36:36.000 And I'd love to talk scriptures with you again sometime soon.
00:36:40.000 A great honor.
00:36:41.000 Thank you.
00:36:41.000 All right, man.
00:36:42.000 Talk to you soon.
00:36:43.000 God bless.
00:36:44.000 Thank you.
00:36:47.000 Thank you so much for listening, everybody.
