00:02:08.000 Who's ready to get audited?
00:02:11.000 I'm going to get blunt and to the point, straight into the point and be blunt.
00:02:14.000 It's likely you are going to be audited sometime soon.
00:02:18.000 Senator Kristen Sinema has decided to join Joe Manchin in what they call the Inflation Reduction Act, which is anything but the Inflation Reduction Act.
00:02:28.000 But Democrats are getting even sneakier in how they are branding what actually increases inflation to hurt inflation, but they're doing it for marketing purposes.
00:02:37.000 The Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 appears to have a good shot of being signed into law.
00:02:44.000 One of the things it does is it expands the internal revenue services, power, authority, and expands their staff.
00:02:54.000 The Inflation Reduction Act hires 87,000 new IRS agents.
00:03:06.000 87,000 new IRS agents.
00:03:13.000 Currently, there's about 600,000 audits that are done every single year.
00:03:19.000 600,000 audits.
00:03:23.000 The IRS says they'll now be able to perform 1.2 million audits in the next couple of years, doubling the amount of annual audits that are done.
00:03:33.000 Doubling.
00:03:35.000 Now, what's so sick and twisted about this is that it will not be millionaires and billionaires that will be audited.
00:03:43.000 Multimillionaires have access to great accountants and lawyers, and the IRS actually doesn't like dealing with them.
00:03:50.000 You see, when the IRS reaches out to a millionaire or billionaire, they immediately receive a pretty thoughtful, detailed, and forceful response by some $1,000 an hour law firm.
00:04:02.000 It's a rounding error for many businesses and billionaires and millionaires.
00:04:06.000 They don't even, they hear, oh, I'm getting audited, whatever, my team is handling it.
00:04:10.000 And the IRS actually doesn't like that because their BS and their nonsense gets called out by pretty talented lawyers and accountants that know the code better than the IRS actually does.
00:04:19.000 So the IRS gets intimidated and they say, okay, we'll pay this fine.
00:04:23.000 And the millionaire and billionaire, out of pure principle, drags it on.
00:04:26.000 Like, I'm not going to pay that.
00:04:27.000 And the IRS doesn't like it because there's a check and balance because the ruling class actually has access to the intellectual talent to call out the IRS.
00:04:37.000 And it is the only group of people that actually have the budget to go up against the IRS.
00:04:44.000 The IRS is one of several independent regulatory agencies.
00:04:51.000 We call them IRAs here on this program.
00:04:54.000 I believe the IRS is constituted illegally.
00:04:57.000 I believe it's unconstitutional the way the IRS has been formed.
00:05:01.000 Unfortunately, very few judges agree with me, but happy to go back to original constitutional structure as to why that is the case.
00:05:09.000 So what does the IRS do then?
00:05:10.000 You know, they might audit a couple millionaires and billionaires, and the millionaires and billionaires will hold the line via the best law firms, best accounting firms, drag it on, maybe pay a small fine, and that's it.
00:05:23.000 But the IRS, they instead will go after targets where they know they can win.
00:05:29.000 You see, data shows, according to the GAO, the Government Accountability Office, who actually gets audited?
00:05:36.000 Well, in the year 2019, out of the 600,000 audits that were conducted, 198,000 of them were people earning $1 to $25,000 a year.
00:05:50.000 165,000 of them were people earning $25,000 to $200,000 a year.
00:05:57.000 And then on down, about 20,000 of them were people earning $200,000 to half a million a year.
00:06:02.000 About 10,000 were half a million to 5 million.
00:06:05.000 And then less than a couple thousand were $5 million or more.
00:06:08.000 Now, the argument the IRS will make at a surface is a good one.
00:06:12.000 Well, there's just more people earning $1 to $25,000.
00:06:16.000 And so therefore, it might be cumulative more, but the percentage actually works out.
00:06:23.000 Now, this is rubbish for a very simple reason, which is when you earn, when you are between $1,000 to $25,000, there should be an intentional campaign not to audit you.
00:06:37.000 Now, I'm not a big one to talk about equity or about fairness or all that, especially when it comes to racial stuff, which is garbage.
00:06:44.000 But I will say this.
00:06:46.000 It is deeply morally unfair.
00:06:49.000 In fact, it is an abuse of government power to have the federal government go after someone earning $36,000 a year who cannot defend themselves against the IRS.
00:07:00.000 Here you have a multi-billion dollar IRS agency, the Internal Revenue Service.
00:07:05.000 They're adding 87,000 new IRS agents and plan to double their audits in the coming years.
00:07:12.000 If you're earning $36,000 a year or you're earning $50,000 a year and maybe you're taking a deduction, a childhood tax deduction, maybe you're running a small business, which by the way, small businesses will get hurt the most on this.
00:07:23.000 I'll prove it to you.
00:07:25.000 And all of a sudden the IRS comes and they send you a civil investigative demand.
00:07:29.000 Basically, we need all of these things.
00:07:32.000 You do not have the disposable income to go hire a lawyer to fight the IRS.
00:07:38.000 That's expensive.
00:07:39.000 You are then now the small against the strong.
00:07:42.000 That's why the IRS doesn't like going after these millionaires and billionaires.
00:07:45.000 There's another reason why.
00:07:46.000 If you're a major Democrat donor and you get an audit notice from the IRS, do you know what you do?
00:07:51.000 You call up Amy Klobuchar and you say, what the heck?
00:07:56.000 And so Amy Klobuchar is not supposed to do this, but has one of her staffers meander on over to the Treasury building or over to the White House.
00:08:04.000 They whisper in the ear and they say, look, this Silicon Valley billionaire, can we just clean this up, get to a settlement?
00:08:12.000 It happens all the time.
00:08:14.000 In fact, we transparently saw how corrupt the Internal Revenue Service was back in 2010 and 11 with the Lois Learner saga.
00:08:22.000 And I'm going to walk through that entire thing and connect it to this.
00:08:25.000 By the way, the people all behind the targeting of conservative groups back in 10, 11, and 12 were never held accountable.
00:08:31.000 Lois Learner still receives a pension.
00:08:33.000 So the IRA, the independent regulatory agencies, this fourth branch of government, is about to double in size.
00:08:42.000 And something tells me that BLM or the LGBTQ alphabet mafia groups are not going to be the first ones to get audited.
00:08:51.000 No, no, no.
00:08:52.000 Those of you that might be Trump voters, enthusiastic conservatives or Christians, according to this piece of legislation that Kirsten Sinema and Joe Manchin are supporting, means an audit will be coming to your doorstep most likely sometime soon.
00:09:08.000 Let's extrapolate this.
00:09:11.000 Now that the IRS can do 1.2 million audits a year over the course of a decade, that is well over 14 million audits.
00:09:18.000 Out of 14 million audits, what do you think the political makeup of those audit recipients will be?
00:09:24.000 I overpay my taxes, so you guys are welcome to come audit me because we actually know the game that's being played here.
00:09:33.000 We know the abusive government.
00:09:36.000 Back in 2010 and 11, there was a bombshell story.
00:09:43.000 The Internal Revenue Service announced, not announced, but through the Government Accountability Office and oversight from Republicans, they were targeting conservative groups.
00:09:55.000 Outright targeting them.
00:09:57.000 Let's start with when Jake Tapper actually used to be a journalist talking about this story in Cut 69, how the IRS scandal was targeting Tea Party groups.
00:10:09.000 Play Cut 69.
00:10:11.000 Lead another nationally, distrust of big government writ large and of the Internal Revenue Service more specifically.
00:10:18.000 Well, those are cornerstones of the Tea Party ethos.
00:10:21.000 Now it looks as though the IRS went and proved their point for them.
00:10:25.000 And the president, well, he says he did not know the IRS was singling out conservative groups until the news broke.
00:10:32.000 I first learned about it from the same news reports that I think most people learned about this.
00:10:37.000 If you've got the IRS operating in anything less than a neutral and non-partisan way, then that is outrageous.
00:10:46.000 But I've got no patience with it.
00:10:47.000 I will not tolerate it.
00:10:48.000 And we will make sure that we find out exactly what happened on this.
00:10:53.000 Lie, lie, lie, lie.
00:10:56.000 Barrick Hussein is a liar all the way through.
00:10:58.000 He approved the audits.
00:11:00.000 They had multiple meetings in the White House.
00:11:05.000 And this was one of the reasons the Tea Party movement lost some of its momentum.
00:11:09.000 They got audited all throughout the country.
00:11:12.000 And the Internal Revenue Service, one of the IRAs, the independent regulatory agencies, are continuing now a soon-to-be blitzkrieg against middle America.
00:11:22.000 If you own a small business, if you are a middle-class American, the IRS is coming for you very soon.
00:11:29.000 They can't beat us at the ballot box.
00:11:31.000 They no longer can manipulate elections.
00:11:32.000 They can't stop the MAGA movement.
00:11:34.000 So you know what they're going to try to do?
00:11:35.000 Audit our organizations, target our taxpayers, and restrict the capital supplies via the IRS.
00:11:46.000 Look, we talk about current events a lot on this show, but there's other things that are in life that are bigger than current events, bigger things.
00:11:52.000 We try to do some shows every so often on these things.
00:11:55.000 But look, what am I talking about when I say that?
00:11:57.000 How about good and evil?
00:11:58.000 Right and wrong, prayer and the Bible or heaven and hell.
00:12:02.000 So, look, the great C.S. Lewis, who's one of the most amazing minds ever to exist, was a master at addressing these questions.
00:12:10.000 And that is why Hillsdale College, the great college, the only college, in my opinion, wants you to learn more about him and his writings and their newest free online course, C.S. Lewis on Christianity.
00:12:23.000 Then it all starts with taking a short quiz to find out how much you already know about Lewis.
00:12:28.000 He wrote more than the Narnia series, by the way.
00:12:30.000 Look, Hillsdale College is amazing.
00:12:32.000 They defend liberty, they pursue truth, they do a great job.
00:12:36.000 So just write this down.
00:12:37.000 This should be your go-to resource.
00:12:38.000 Remember, I have taken 16 of their online courses, and I have promised Dr. Arne I'm eventually going to finish them all.
00:12:45.000 Go to charlie4hillsdale.com to take this fun, interactive quiz, and then sign up for this free course.
00:12:50.000 The answers may even surprise you, even if you think you know everything about C.S. Lewis.
00:12:54.000 They surprised me, my goodness.
00:12:56.000 The quiz, the course, and everything you learn at Hillsdale College are yours for free, as always.
00:13:01.000 So take the C.S. Lewis quiz right now at charlie4hillsdale.com.
00:13:05.000 That is charlie4hillsdale.com.
00:13:07.000 Take as many online courses as you can.
00:13:09.000 The Constitution course is amazing, but their C.S. Lewis course is extraordinary.
00:13:15.000 And by the way, Hillsdale College, just phenomenal.
00:13:18.000 Charlie4Hillsdale.com.
00:13:23.000 John says, So what's the big deal, Charlie?
00:13:25.000 Pay your taxes and you'll be fine if you get audited right.
00:13:29.000 Question, right?
00:13:30.000 Okay, John, thank you for emailing us.
00:13:32.000 Let me just say that sentiment is unbelievably naive.
00:13:36.000 Let me tell you why.
00:13:37.000 The IRS has unlimited time and money.
00:13:39.000 They could stretch on an audit for three, four, five years, of which you have to spend legal fees, accounting fees, defending yourself.
00:13:46.000 And by the way, a lot of things in the IRS code are intentionally murky to be able to enforce the code against you.
00:13:54.000 Now, John, with all possible due respect, you don't sound like a business owner.
00:13:59.000 And this is why small businesses will get hit the hardest.
00:14:02.000 What actually qualifies as a business expense is very subjective under a lot of things in the IRS code.
00:14:10.000 So it might look like you're only earning $50,000 or $70,000 a year, but your small business restaurant might be doing $800,000 in business a year from wage deductions to business expenditures.
00:14:23.000 So if the IRS comes in, for example, and they'll say, okay, show us your books, XYZ restaurant, that just so happens to be a Trump supporting restaurant, and they'd say, hey, why are you expensing Wi-Fi?
00:14:34.000 Is that really a business expense?
00:14:35.000 So then you'll have to spend hours with an accountant paying the accountant to go through the records of why Wi-Fi is a business expense.
00:14:42.000 Hey, why is your cable television bill for your business a business expense?
00:14:46.000 You say, well, it's because my customers want to watch it.
00:14:48.000 Then it's up to the IRS to determine whether or not that's a business expense or not.
00:14:52.000 So with all possible due respect, John, that emailed us, no, it's not a big deal of just paying your taxes, especially for small business owners that take tons of deductions, by the way, and they should.
00:15:03.000 And if you don't know what a deduction is, a deduction is an ability to literally deduct the amount of gross income or the amount of net taxes that you have to pay or gross taxes you have to pay.
00:15:14.000 And it's very subjective.
00:15:16.000 And but guess what?
00:15:17.000 Most small businesses across America push the envelope when it comes to deductions.
00:15:23.000 They push the envelope because things cost so much, they're barely getting by, and they don't want to have to pay a 37% tax rate.
00:15:30.000 So no, it's not just a matter of paying your taxes.
00:15:34.000 It's a matter of who gets to enforce the code itself, how long they have to stretch it, not to mention the potential hundreds of man hours that they rob from you to have to justify yourself against the Internal Revenue Service.
00:15:47.000 But it doesn't stop there.
00:15:51.000 It goes even deeper because the IRS then can go after political organizations or nonprofit organizations and stop the entire potential movement of the America First Movement.
00:16:05.000 Play cut 70, please.
00:16:07.000 There's word that emails sought in the investigation into the IRS scandal appear to have vanished.
00:16:13.000 Some members of the House Ways and Means Committee are already calling for investigations by the Inspector General and the Justice Department.
00:16:20.000 The committee is looking into whether the decision to have employees in the Cincinnati office place extra scrutiny on certain groups seeking tax-exempt status was politically motivated.
00:16:31.000 Many of the targeted groups had strong ties to the Tea Party.
00:16:35.000 Lois Lerner headed the tax-exempt division and gave that order, apparently.
00:16:39.000 She, though, has refused to testify before the House committee.
00:16:43.000 And today, the committee was informed that any emails Lerner sent to people outside the IRS in much of 2009, all of 2010, and some of 2011 were lost in a computer crash.
00:16:55.000 Only emails she sent and received inside the agency during that time still exist.
00:17:02.000 That means if there was any exchanges between the White House, Treasury Department, or any political offices, they are simply gone.
00:17:11.000 They're simply gone.
00:17:13.000 I have multiple takeaways there.
00:17:14.000 Number one, the IRS just destroyed all their emails because they didn't want to have oversight.
00:17:19.000 You know what happens if you do that if you're under investigation?
00:17:21.000 You go to jail for destruction of evidence.
00:17:23.000 But Hillary Clinton and the IRS, they can destroy emails and destroy devices, and they just walk away scot-free.
00:17:29.000 No accountability.
00:17:30.000 Number two, Lois Lerner still receives a full pension, and no one was held criminally accountable to use the Internal Revenue Service to go after conservative groups.
00:17:39.000 Hundreds of Tea Party groups were targeted to try to stop the Tea Party movement in its tracks by using government force.
00:17:46.000 The third of which, nothing's changed.
00:17:49.000 All the same creatures in the IRS are there, and now they're getting a funding boost.
00:17:53.000 They're getting 87,000 new employees to be able to double the amount of audits they do every single year.
00:17:59.000 Christine emailed us, freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:18:01.000 I was audited back in 2012.
00:18:03.000 They went back four years to 2008, still being audited even after being in North Carolina since 2015.
00:18:10.000 They'll go back many years.
00:18:11.000 And so to the email, well, come on, just pay your taxes.
00:18:14.000 You've obviously never met anybody that has gone through an audit or seen anyone that's gone through an audit.
00:18:18.000 These people have unlimited time and budgets to harass you and torture you.
00:18:23.000 And they will steal your time, they'll steal your energy, they'll steal your money to defend yourself to try to break down your business over the back to try to get you to bend the knee.
00:18:34.000 If you can't beat the MAGA movement at the ballot box, if you can't beat us in the marketplace, well, then just hire a bunch of IRS agents, Soviet-style, to bankrupt and defund the movement.
00:18:46.000 So one person asked, Charlie, just pay your taxes.
00:18:48.000 What's the big deal?
00:18:51.000 Janine, or Jenny, emailed us.
00:18:53.000 I'm sorry.
00:18:54.000 Charlie, the IRS came after us for $500,000.
00:18:58.000 After a couple years, we paid $40,000 in attorney fees just for the IRS to tell us, quote, our bad, you were right in the first place.
00:19:07.000 We received zero compensation and was not allowed to claim any deductions on future taxes.
00:19:12.000 Our life savings were poof, gone.
00:19:16.000 So even if you do the right thing, the IRS will drag you through the process for years and you'll have to defend yourself.
00:19:23.000 If you've never dealt with the IRS, they're cruel, they're cold, they're calculated, and they're slow.
00:19:34.000 They will rob you of your time.
00:19:37.000 And so, right now, according to this bill that Kyrsten Cinema is approved with Joe Manchin, the IRS will be hiring 87,000 new IRS agents.
00:19:54.000 It's kind of interesting, isn't it, that the senator from Arizona, Kirsten Cinema, wants to hire more IRS agents, but not more Border Patrol agents.
00:20:04.000 This goes along a theme: criminalize the domestic and prioritize the foreigner.
00:20:13.000 By the way, I want to hear your thoughts and your experiences with the IRS, the Internal Revenue Service.
00:20:19.000 I might read them on air.
00:20:22.000 Lisa said, the person who said, quote, just pay your taxes, has never run a business or filed business taxes because they not only audit your business, then they come after you personally.
00:20:32.000 Thank you, Lisa.
00:20:33.000 It's exactly right.
00:20:35.000 And not to mention, the IRS coming after you, the process itself is the punishment.
00:20:42.000 The anxiety, the delays, the targeting.
00:20:49.000 I've known so many people that have lost their savings, their businesses because of the IRS.
00:20:57.000 It is their way to be able to stop the capital flows to conservative organizations and the conservative movement.
00:21:06.000 A doubling of the power, all under this thing called the Inflation Reduction Act.
00:21:14.000 And the way the IRS works, unfortunately, is you're guilty until proven innocent.
00:21:20.000 And they have all the time in the world.
00:21:21.000 Their budgets are unlimited.
00:21:22.000 They're funded by the taxpayers.
00:21:24.000 And then you have to defend yourself.
00:21:28.000 Jackie emailed us, Freedom at CharlieKirk.com.
00:21:30.000 Charlie, I was audited twice the last time the IRS went after conservatives.
00:21:35.000 I was just a secretary, but I was a member in good standing with KUFI and other conservative organizations that were also being harassed at the time.
00:21:46.000 Someone says, Charlie, use TurboTax and they will defend you.
00:21:49.000 Okay, but that's not free, okay?
00:21:51.000 And let's just be honest.
00:21:53.000 TurboTax is not going to do the best job defending you against a merciless IRS audit.
00:21:57.000 You need premier lawyers to go up against an IRS agent.
00:22:05.000 But the other question that I think needs to be asked: so we're doubling the size of the IRS.
00:22:12.000 Why is the IRS buying up all this ammunition?
00:22:16.000 So the IRS is doubling in size to double their audits.
00:22:21.000 So they go from $600,000 to $1.2 million audits.
00:22:25.000 Why do they need so many bullets?
00:22:29.000 Play cut 63.
00:22:31.000 So when they start treating the IRS as a military agency, you should be very worried.
00:22:38.000 And that's exactly what the U.S. government is doing.
00:22:41.000 In 2018, the Government Accountability Office reported that more than 2,000 IRS enforcement agents have more than 4,000 weapons, guns, that kill people, remember?
00:22:53.000 The IRS is also stockpiling more than 5 million rounds of ammunition.
00:22:57.000 In 2020, the Watchdog organization OpenTheBooks.com reported the IRS has spent more than $20 million on guns and ammo between 2006 and 2019.
00:23:08.000 $20 million on guns and ammo.
00:23:13.000 Why do they need that?
00:23:16.000 What is the IRS planning to do with all of that ammunition?
00:23:23.000 Certainly would be nice to have an answer, wouldn't it?
00:23:25.000 From our leaders.
00:23:29.000 Scott asks the question, Charlie, so in theory, if 2,000 of the 5 million plus are audited, does that mean it will be 4K?
00:23:35.000 So what does that mean to double the number of audits from those making from 0 to 25,000?
00:23:40.000 Yeah, so the question is: who's actually going to be the recipient of this?
00:23:43.000 Working class people.
00:23:44.000 You see, small businesses are the true threat to the regime.
00:23:48.000 Big businesses, they got plenty of capital flows, and they also bend the knee easily.
00:23:53.000 It's another way to shut down small businesses the same way they did with COVID.
00:23:58.000 Small businesses are always the recipient of the massive government overreach.
00:24:06.000 Small businesses and independent people think freely, and therefore they're a threat to the establishment.
00:24:13.000 The great reset hinges on subjects, not citizens.
00:24:17.000 When you're a small business owner, you are, by definition, independent, self-reliant.
00:24:25.000 You're more likely to believe in self-government.
00:24:27.000 If you look at the polls, small business owners almost at a two-to-one margin vote Republican.
00:24:33.000 You increase the IRS to this extent, you're going to crush the backbone of the American small business community.
00:24:40.000 And we already did that significantly during the China virus and the lockdowns.
00:24:47.000 And it's not going to be the alphabet mafia organizations that are going to get targeted here.
00:24:54.000 No, no, it will be gun stores.
00:25:00.000 It will be churches.
00:25:02.000 It will be anything that might be in the faith-based community.
00:25:09.000 You see, the Founding Fathers warned against an unaccountable government agency.
00:25:16.000 And unfortunately, our Republican leaders have just completely allowed this to happen for so many years.
00:25:29.000 And what they did is they've expanded the operation to such an extent where the IRS now basically runs the government and the people, where in reality, the people should be accountable.
00:25:43.000 The IRS should be accountable to the people.
00:25:47.000 Melissa said, Charlie, this is all consistent with the means to an end of you'll own nothing and you'll be happy.
00:25:54.000 That guy that just said pay your taxes will live in a whole new world in his own right.
00:25:59.000 He's a quote, useful idiot.
00:26:01.000 Well, I don't know, he seemed like a nice person, but or useless eater.
00:26:04.000 He can choose either way.
00:26:06.000 He's dispensable.
00:26:08.000 Andrew said, quote, Charlie, you're so right.
00:26:10.000 I was audited years ago, but in order to change this, we have to take down the Biden-Chinese Communist Party, BCP, remove the problem, live in the solution.
00:26:20.000 The structure of our government has gone so far away from its original intent.
00:26:26.000 The IRS doubles in size.
00:26:30.000 The article continues.
00:26:31.000 Oh, it's written by Jake Leahy.
00:26:33.000 He's great.
00:26:33.000 I know Jake.
00:26:35.000 Doubling the IRS enforcement efforts will certainly raise some additional money for the federal government, but it will do so at the expense of middle-class entrepreneurs.
00:26:46.000 Wall Street is not sweating this.
00:26:48.000 Big corporations are not sweating this.
00:26:49.000 They have entire divisions and platoons of accountants to defend themselves.
00:26:57.000 If you want government to expand, if you want the people to be dependent on the government, this is how you do it.
00:27:05.000 You increase the people that are going to go after the money and the private property of the citizens.
00:27:12.000 It's not their money.
00:27:15.000 It is yours.
00:27:17.000 But the process is the punishment.
00:27:21.000 It's all intentional.
00:27:24.000 Email here.
00:27:27.000 Hi, Charlie, new viewer, wife 56, and I'm 62.
00:27:29.000 I stay at home raising 16 and 14-year-old girls.
00:27:31.000 We paid the IRS over $50,000 in income tax last year.
00:27:35.000 Still owed another $7,000 after filing taxes.
00:27:37.000 Recently paid those dirty dogs off.
00:27:39.000 In fear they might come after me to make things harder.
00:27:42.000 We overpaid our taxes.
00:27:44.000 We're on the right side, not the establishment side.
00:27:46.000 We're law-abiding citizens.
00:27:50.000 Thanks, Charlie, for what?
00:27:51.000 Thanks, Charlie.
00:27:51.000 We appreciate you.
00:27:53.000 So, what can you do about this?
00:27:55.000 Look, I'll be very honest.
00:27:57.000 You got to file your taxes as if an IRS agent will audit you imminently.
00:28:03.000 Maybe you have to pay less deductions.
00:28:04.000 Guess what?
00:28:05.000 They also know this because they're going to have you now take less risks.
00:28:10.000 And by the way, because it's so murky, who knows exactly what the IRS code is?
00:28:15.000 They enforce it differently for every single person.
00:28:18.000 Remember, the more laws, the less justice, as Cicero would say.
00:28:22.000 So you have this IRS code that is completely arbitrary, that goes for tens of thousands of pages that very well could be enforced differently based on your political affiliation.
00:28:36.000 You're a conservative?
00:28:37.000 Totally different.
00:28:38.000 You're a liberal?
00:28:39.000 Sure, that's a deduction.
00:28:41.000 I wonder if BLM is going to be audited by the Internal Revenue Service for buying up mansions all across the country.
00:28:51.000 Melanie says, Charlie, are you fear-mongering about the IRS?
00:28:58.000 Pooh-pooing the idea of using a relatively low-cost tax service that offers tax services in the amount of audit is your way of fear-mongering.
00:29:03.000 You should be promoting the idea as a viable option.
00:29:05.000 I use them every year.
00:29:06.000 Of course, they aren't free, nothing is, but the minimal charge is far a cry from the expenses one would encounter without the protection.
00:29:13.000 Look, Melanie, I'm sure TurboTax is great.
00:29:17.000 You want to go deal with a platoon of IRS agents using TurboTax?
00:29:20.000 More power to you.
00:29:22.000 But let's be honest.
00:29:24.000 When they really come after you, you're going to need more than some outsourced major corporate part-time person working on it.
00:29:30.000 But I'm glad it works for you.
00:29:34.000 My ex-husband and I owned the second-largest home improvement company in Arizona.
00:29:38.000 We sold it to our partner in 2001 and moved to Telluride.
00:29:40.000 The IRS tormented us for the entire ownership of this company for 14 years.
00:29:47.000 They still had a filing in my name in the county in Colorado up until 2020, which we discovered upon purchasing a new property.
00:29:53.000 They claimed it was their heir and removed it immediately, but they can and will destroy you if you let them.
00:29:58.000 Look, I'm glad TurboTax works for people.
00:30:00.000 If you're going to be under a 14-year torment with the IRS, you probably need a better lawyer and an accountant to handle it.
00:30:06.000 Just saying.
00:30:07.000 But for some of you, maybe TurboTax would be great.
00:30:10.000 Someone says, Charlie, who audits the IRS?
00:30:13.000 Bingo.
00:30:14.000 Congress is supposed to, but because the IRS has become so powerful and so strong, there is no check or balance on this.
00:30:24.000 Hey, everybody, Charlie Kirk here.
00:30:25.000 The recent rulings from the Supreme Court didn't happen on their own.
00:30:28.000 It took support of companies like Patriot Mobile who passionately fought on behalf of the unborn and your constitutional rights.
00:30:35.000 Patriot Mobile is America's only Christian conservative mobile phone provider and has been on the front lines fighting for your values.
00:30:41.000 Inflation has really made it hard on Americans.
00:30:44.000 Thankfully, Patriot Mobile has plans for almost any budget.
00:30:48.000 They offer the same nationwide coverage as all the major carriers.
00:30:52.000 You get the same service and your money is going to a company fighting for the sanctity of life, religious liberty, and the Second Amendment.

00:31:26.000 Tom emailed us.
00:31:27.000 Charlie, we have been fighting the IRS for three years.
00:31:31.000 I made a simple error in the beginning by missing some bank account interest as income.
00:31:37.000 This went on for over two years, back and forth writing letters.
00:31:40.000 Imagine the stress, the anxiety.
00:31:42.000 The IRS isn't stressed or anxious.
00:31:43.000 When they go after you, they enjoy it.
00:31:45.000 They're sinister.
00:31:46.000 They would require the evidence from us with no explanation from them.
00:31:49.000 Finally, they required $8,000 from us.
00:31:52.000 We pushed back through our accountant, and months after months after they made our payment, they refunded half without no explanation.
00:31:58.000 It was a big fiasco with no single point of contact or mailing address on their site.
00:32:02.000 Of course not.
00:32:02.000 They don't need to be accountable to anybody.
00:32:04.000 They do what they want.
00:32:05.000 Lori Ann, Charlie, I was audited for an IRA account that was embezzled.
00:32:10.000 The IRS wanted the taxes from that account.
00:32:12.000 I sent in all the information that showed that it was embezzled, but they denied it.
00:32:16.000 I ended up having to pay the tax on the money they never got.
00:32:19.000 It was like I was robbed twice.
00:32:20.000 When the IRS says you owe money, good luck finding them.
00:32:24.000 Bannon says, don't give me a problem without a solution.
00:32:27.000 What's your solution to the IRS?
00:32:28.000 Okay, we'll talk about that in a sec.
00:32:29.000 That's fair.
00:32:30.000 So look, I'm not trying to bash TurboTax.
00:32:32.000 We've probably, they're probably never going to be a partner of the show after this.
00:32:37.000 Kirsten said, Charlie, TurboTax has failed our family for two years running due to incorrectly figuring out the government-issued child tax credits.
00:32:44.000 We end up paying after the fact one year, and last year, our return refund was cut by $5,000 despite taking a standard deduction.
00:32:51.000 When we reach out to TurboTax, we receive nothing support, little care about the disruption to our family.
00:32:55.000 We'll not use them going forward.
00:32:56.000 Of course, they're a big company.
00:32:57.000 They don't care.
00:32:57.000 Again, if it's helpful for you, fine, whatever.
00:32:59.000 I'm just trying to say, though, when they come after you, don't be shocked.
00:33:07.000 Okay, so what can we do about this?
00:33:08.000 And I'll get to this one email.
00:33:10.000 Kathy said, the IRS murdered my husband.
00:33:12.000 Wow.
00:33:13.000 Okay, we'll read that one in a second.
00:33:16.000 It's pretty aggressive.
00:33:18.000 What can we do about it?
00:33:19.000 Well, look, it's true.
00:33:20.000 You got to pay your taxes.
00:33:22.000 Brace for impact.
00:33:26.000 This bill would not have happened or passed if we would have won the Georgia Senate runoffs.
00:33:31.000 If either Kelly Loffler or David Perdue would have won the United States Senate race there, none of this would have happened.
00:33:38.000 So it did.
00:33:38.000 And Joe Biden is going to expand and double the size of the IRS.
00:33:42.000 Someone says we could take over Congress.
00:33:43.000 Can we stop this?
00:33:45.000 Probably not.
00:33:45.000 Once IRS agents are hired, you can almost never stop it.
00:33:48.000 Once government agents are hired, unless you implement Schedule F, you cannot fire these agents.
00:33:54.000 So you got to be honest, and this is not a lesson that you guys want to hear, and we don't do hopium on the show, hope or opium.
00:33:59.000 You have to live your life as if you are going to be imminently audited by the IRS.
00:34:03.000 And when you get the audit notice, you have to say, I have been expecting you.
00:34:07.000 It's that simple.
00:34:08.000 Welcome to New America.
00:34:09.000 I wish it wasn't the case.
00:34:10.000 You got to live your life that way.
00:34:12.000 That means less vacations, maybe, less deductions, less disposable income.
00:34:16.000 It's the way it is.
00:34:18.000 Now, that might be the lesson you want to hear.
00:34:20.000 It's say, Charlie, we could take back the House and the Senate.
00:34:24.000 It's going to take a major movement, huge majorities, and a Republican president to even trim the edges on this.
00:34:29.000 Now, a Republican president can do one thing, though.
00:34:32.000 A Republican president can tell the new IRS commissioner to slow down or decrease the amount of audits.
00:34:38.000 That can be done.
00:34:40.000 That is totally and completely true by executive directive.
00:34:45.000 So that can change by taking over the White House.
00:34:47.000 One thing that can also change is the first day that Republicans take over the House in January, they have to have an entire committee on IRS oversight.
00:34:57.000 Call the IRS commissioner in front every single day.
00:35:00.000 Guess what?
00:35:02.000 Why doesn't the House of Representatives and the Senate just show up at the IRS offices themselves?
00:35:06.000 Just show up.
00:35:07.000 Walk in the building.
00:35:09.000 Like, I want to see your guys' work.
00:35:11.000 Enough subpoenas and all this.
00:35:12.000 Just show up in the building.
00:35:14.000 What would happen if the Speaker of the House, a Republican and the head of the Senate, hopefully a Republican, just showed up at the IRS building and said, I want your emails right now.
00:35:22.000 Move over.
00:35:24.000 Is that not better oversight than, oh, we lost our emails or we have a three-month runway?
00:35:28.000 Just walk in the IRS building, do your oversight, do it peacefully.
00:35:30.000 But guess what?
00:35:31.000 They work for you.
00:35:32.000 You have a constitutional authority.
00:35:34.000 In fact, I think a mandate to just walk in.
00:35:37.000 Why not?
00:35:38.000 Wait your turn, kind of be a polite senator.
00:35:40.000 Yeah, the time for being polite is over.
00:35:42.000 Day one, I want to see an entire group of U.S. senators and congresspeople waltz into the Internal Revenue Service office in the Treasury building, walk into a conference room there, and convene a meeting and say, We want a list of every single person you're auditing right now, the reason and the emails surrounding it.
00:35:58.000 What is the breakup?
00:35:59.000 What is the criteria?
00:36:00.000 How long are you pressing?
00:36:01.000 What does success look like?
00:36:02.000 Is there a political affiliation behind this?
00:36:04.000 What are the organizations that you've been pushing for that would scare them at the core level?
00:36:12.000 Republicans need to play offense.
00:36:13.000 One of the reasons why we got to take the House and the Senate.
00:36:15.000 But I also just want to manage your expectations.
00:36:18.000 If they get this bill passed, which it looks like they will, it's no guarantee.
00:36:22.000 Once these IRS agents are hired, it's very hard to get them fired.
00:36:26.000 So, recap, be ready for the audit.
00:36:29.000 Pay your full taxes.
00:36:30.000 It's just terrible.
00:36:31.000 It's awful.
00:36:32.000 Don't take unnecessary deductions or risky ones because they're going to come after you.
00:36:37.000 And then finally, when we take back the House and the Senate with a mandate, we need our elected officials to barnstorm the door peacefully of the Internal Revenue Service and do their job for congressional oversight and not wait their turn.
00:36:50.000 Hi, Charlie.
00:36:50.000 Lois Leonard herself wrote one of those letters to my husband pledging to help us.
00:36:53.000 My husband was badgered into his grave.
00:36:55.000 We had a duplex, one rental income.
00:36:57.000 I won't forget, and no one should go through this.
00:36:58.000 God have mercy on these people.
00:37:00.000 Regards.
00:37:00.000 Yeah, look, the IRS doesn't care.
00:37:03.000 Robert says the new Congress can cut the IRS budget.
00:37:06.000 That is true.
00:37:07.000 It can, but I'm going to just manage your expectations.
00:37:12.000 It's a very low likelihood that's going to happen with Joe Biden as president.
00:37:15.000 But I think we should start with: we're going to defund the IRS.
00:37:19.000 Day one.
00:37:20.000 That's our opening argument.
00:37:22.000 Brace for impact, as Kirsten Cinema has decided to double the size of the Internal Revenue Service, 80,000 new IRS agents.
00:37:31.000 That's new IRS agents.
00:37:32.000 Thanks so much for listening, everybody.
00:37:34.000 Email me your thoughts as always.
00:37:35.000 Freedom at CharlieKirk.com.
