On today's Krusty canuck podcast, I discuss the recent confidence motion passed by the New Democrats in the House of Commons, as well as the situation in Caledonia, Ontario regarding Indigenous Idle No More Camps and the burning of tires.
00:07:48.480Now, you know, of course, mind you, the sound effects.
00:07:50.680But it's getting ridiculous when it comes to these policies and these movers and these shakers and these so-called experts weighing in and giving us a little slap and tickle here with CERB payments and CERB payments.
00:08:01.420And we're looking after this and we're looking after that.
00:08:03.520Now, I've had some emails the past couple of days from some, quote-unquote, concerned citizens.
00:08:10.180And some of those citizens are really stuck on this socialist model still for some reason.
00:08:19.120I've even had some fucking clown weigh in and I'm not sure if I mentioned this or not before.
00:08:23.900But one of the emails was basically stating that it's good to the government spending all this money to help procure and all this.
00:08:33.380And yet there's speculation of how much money was spent on ventilators, let alone when it comes to helping people.
00:08:39.000And I mentioned that to the individual and, of course, he came back with a timely response saying, well, that's the price we have to pay for living in a capitalist society.
00:09:16.720Do they accumulate fossil fuels in southern Ontario or in the better part of, you know, Algonquin Park?
00:09:24.720Is that how Ottawa gets the money to give to Quebec, to give out to the rest of the country in the name of equalization?
00:09:31.780And what gets me, though, too, is this individual, after looking at his profile, was working in the auto industry for the better part of 30 years.
00:10:01.080This is getting ridiculous when it comes to individuals that really have no fucking clue.
00:10:07.940So, Alberta and Western Canada has been, you know, roughly ignored again when it comes to these decisions, these dilemmas.
00:10:17.920And when I look at the premier out here, yeah, there's a lot of people who are disenfranchised with Mr. Kenney, but in the same sense, he's done a hell of a lot better job than what Notley's ever fucking done.
00:10:29.220And when I look at the health minister, I forget her name off the top of the hand, but she's still practicing medicine in her own way.
00:10:35.580And she's come up with concrete decisions and conclusions when it comes to what's happening here.
00:10:41.940Yes, there are mask warnings and all this.
00:10:44.300Personally, I'd say keep a mask on you just in case because I don't want to be fucking confronted every time I step outside and have to deal with Karens and Carl's alike.
00:10:53.480I just want to go about my business and do my thing.
00:10:59.380But then when you look at our leadership in this country when it comes to passing a confidence motion in regards to what's happening, they don't know what to do.
00:13:06.820In October of 2015, Lindsay Robbins, like many of her fellow Canadians, was struggling with the turmoil of mental illness.
00:13:19.120The ups and downs of what she was going through was shaping her realities, and she longed for structure.
00:13:24.600As luck would have it, that structure presented itself to her in the form of gardening.
00:13:29.140And through gardening, Lindsay had an awakening that led her to create Produce for Heroes.
00:13:35.860Lindsay realized that our veterans were going through their own mental struggles, and through her own experience, she realized the power of community.
00:13:43.420By desiring to help the way that she had been helped, she has created a program that provides relief to veterans.
00:13:49.260Her food program, which aims to provide veterans and their families relief from the stresses of food insecurity, and help alleviate the cost of living for those that have sacrificed so much for their country.
00:14:00.440Whether it's through directly contacting Produce for Heroes, or through a friend's referral, all veterans and their families living in Canada are welcome.
00:14:09.460By shining a light on the struggle of veterans and their families, Lindsay is hoping to get her fellow Canadians to hop on board and support Produce for Heroes and our great veterans.
00:14:18.180If you or a veteran you know needs help, ProduceforHeroes.com is a great place to start.
00:14:25.800That's right, ladies and gentlemen, check out Scott and Brian at Canaan Gold, and Lindsay there at Produce for Heroes.
00:14:33.020Great programs to help vets out, and private entrepreneurs alike.
00:14:37.760So as I was saying, yes, more confidence and condolences.
00:15:02.480There's a lot of memos and speculations and stuff going around online on Facebook and other social media sites in regards to government plans and everything.
00:16:16.180Because the people who are put in charge really don't give a shit about what they're doing.
00:16:19.440But when it comes to us, independent folk, commentators, critics alike, we have to make a solid effort to make sure that when we get the information out there, we have to promote it to the best of our knowledge.
00:16:34.420And there's something really, really factual about it.
00:16:37.420Now, to my listeners out there who have given me great articles, who have given me beautiful emails.
00:17:15.480And after watching the American debate last night, and after seeing a little more professionalism and decorum,
00:17:26.040I'm not seeing enough professional decorum in our politics, too.
00:17:30.740So, I don't care how you look at the press conferences.
00:17:33.680I don't care how you think about the leaders and to those individuals east of the country who constantly think that Justin Trudeau and his brand is doing such a wonderful thing.
00:17:44.240Let's see that come tax time next fiscal year.
00:17:47.360Let's see that come March next year on what's supposed to be happening when it comes to so-called internment ideas or so-called quarantine facilities.
00:18:34.820So, the next time there's a virtual town hall or anyone's coming to visit and they talk about travel restrictions and they talk about closures, let's talk to our mayors, let's talk to our premieres, let's talk to our military, not military, our provincial representatives and get them going.
00:18:54.380Get them out there to hustle their ass to earn their effing fucking pay.
00:19:38.280And a lot of people say they want an election, and there are some people that don't want an election because, you know, it wouldn't be right to have it during a so-called pandemic.
00:19:47.280But in the same sense, I think a lot more would get done if we did.
00:19:56.100Get rid of the people that want to hang on to these ideas that everything's going to be perfect and everything's going to be just fine if you just follow their diction.
