00:09:02.980 Those are the codes that decide what pops up on your Facebook feed, your Twitter feed, your YouTube recommendations, virtually anywhere on social media.
00:09:10.240 So, if you're one of the tens of millions of Canadians who use social media, that could be very bad news for you.
00:09:16.420 If you regularly see and watch content from foreign creators, your ability to find them may be restricted.
00:09:21.560 If you like watching, I don't know, American fashion bloggers, Brazilian foodies, Indian rappers, you name it, it will suddenly become a lot harder to find them.
00:09:29.080 If you're an immigrant and want to follow what's going on in the country you were born in, or where your family still lives, that's going to be restricted too.
00:09:36.900 But it's even worse news for Canadians who create this content, because it's not enough to just be a Canadian and make content.
