00:01:44.760 working on different deals as we speak anyway like i said this episode 239 the tuesday rant so an

00:01:51.120 interesting week in canadian politics ladies and gentlemen that's right uh people on the east coast

00:01:55.120 uh ideally nova scotia pei some parts of new brunswick parts of newfoundland labrador uh they're

00:02:01.480 gonna have to have their well they're not going to have to they're getting their carbon tax exempted

00:02:06.620 from home heating oil that's another big plan that liberal government has presented to us

00:02:11.660 on a silver platter all in the name of keeping things you know clean and tidy and the federal

00:02:18.280 government is going to basically waive the carbon tax on those families and people that rely on home

00:02:24.160 heating oil meanwhile sticking up the chuff in the rest of the country right and for those of us who

00:02:30.700 use natural gas to heat our homes we get it sideways and for other canadians out there that use home

00:02:36.980 heating and other means to heat their houses or domiciles or apartments or wherever they live

00:02:42.520 they're going to have to pay through the hoop in the name of carbon tax to keep everything clean and 0.99

00:02:48.000 safe because it's up to canada according to these liberals to save the world which is a fucking joke 0.97

00:02:53.880 now i said i'm gonna drop some f-bombs ladies and gentlemen so i'm gonna do it right now 1.00

00:02:57.560 okay fuck fuck fuckity fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck there i said it abbreviated and all what a shit show 1.00

00:03:05.180 okay so i remember seamus o'reagan about a year ago talking about heat pumps 1.00

00:03:09.780 now the idea that the liberal government have has or is trying to promote is the the the apparent

00:03:17.100 effective use of heat pumps now i've talked about this before ladies and gentlemen heat pumps are great

00:03:21.760 if you live in the state of texas or in parts of california or in certain areas around certain

00:03:28.660 tropics where you have cold snaps where it's cold in the morning a little cool so you turn on the heat

00:03:33.840 pump get some heat generated then turn off the heat pump because it works in the exact same principles

00:03:37.720 as an ac now we were all told every summer don't keep the ac on all the time don't keep the fans

00:03:45.440 going because fans are like dryers or like microwaves they suck a lot of energy and it's hard on the grid

00:03:50.620 and the hotter it is the more people are prompted to use ac right now it's colder in canada than it's

00:03:59.060 hotter in canada okay to my american listeners out there yes contrary to the stereotypes that we are

00:04:06.780 constantly bombarded with okay there are parts of this country that are cold six months out of the

00:04:10.580 year because of our closeness to the arctic circle okay we actually look at the globe you see how the

00:04:17.040 arctic circle works and where canada sits on the globe and how it rotates and all this stuff basic

00:04:21.540 basic public school geography okay and the rotation of the earth blah blah blah blah where the equator is

00:04:26.200 where we sit where these countries sit blah blah how much sun we get this time of year how much

00:04:30.320 we don't get certain times of year mainly winter okay now it's getting darker earlier right i get up 0.94

00:04:38.320 at oh dark stupid to go to work every day and it's dark when i go to work it's dark when i arrive to work 0.61

00:04:42.120 and it's dark when i start my work okay but an hour and a half later then the sun starts coming up so 0.99

00:04:47.820 i'm working a good two hours before i see daylight now the federal government in ottawa wants to

00:04:54.460 encourage people to use heat pumps okay when i got up this morning it was about minus five celsius

00:05:00.380 okay so that's roughly 30 degrees fahrenheit to my american audience out there so it's cold nasty

00:05:07.980 it's a pain in the butt and then come around the end of december january it gets colder 0.97

00:05:12.680 about minus 25 to minus 30 with a wind chill do not forget the effing wind chill now these clowns 0.98

00:05:19.320 want to encourage people to use heat pumps to stop relying on oil okay but of course these clowns and 0.83

00:05:27.600 their arrogance are making anywhere from 189 000 to 200 000 plus a year they can afford these electric 0.70

00:05:35.200 bills they can afford to dabble in gas heating whatever they want now growing up as a kid we used

00:05:41.820 to have a wood furnace we have to get chunks of wood and what have you to burn and to heat the house

00:05:46.160 okay and we had some cold winters when we were kids too so but they don't want people to uh you

00:05:50.800 know to burn wood because burning is bad keeping warm is terrible how dare you want to keep warm in

00:05:55.840 the winter time how dare you what about the trees what about the children what about people's longevity

00:06:03.960 people's livelihoods okay they don't care about that i'm going to put a video up here with miss 0.99

00:06:09.120 gidi hutchins there uh she is the uh what you call her she is what you call the development minister 0.98

00:06:18.180 okay and uh yes she is the rural economic and development minister she had some great ideas

00:06:26.200 there before in regards to uh how people have their guns in this country uh not so long ago she quoted

00:06:32.300 that she had her fac and she likes to hunt bears with a 22 rifle yeah good luck with that chuck anyhow

00:06:39.460 i'll get to that video later but i'm going to keep rambling on here in regards to uh what they're

00:06:44.040 doing for the east coast now it's it's tough as it is for a lot of these coasters because of the job

00:06:48.640 market because of inflation and because of the carbon tax so the federal government is basically just

00:06:53.140 telling these atlantic constituents these people on the atlantic that okay yeah we'll relieve the

00:06:58.900 carbon tax for about three years okay and then if we get elected again in 2025 we're going to up the

00:07:05.400 ante again and double charge you because it's progress because we're saving the world right

00:07:11.340 because you know these these government know-it-alls don't want us to use oil anymore they want us to 0.98

00:07:17.720 rely on wind and solar and use heat pumps i smell shit pumps what do you say if you like when you hear 0.96

00:07:23.920 you see please click like subscribe and share this content all of your social media platform ladies and 0.99

00:07:28.520 gentlemen you know really i did nothing but smell shit pumps you know and again crack doesn't smoke 0.90

00:07:34.860 itself 0.97

00:07:35.020 sorry another technical glitch there right too i'll be right back after this stay updated and follow

00:07:54.060 ladies and gentlemen you're back the tuesday rant pardon my technical glitch there too

00:08:00.880 little trigger uh finger there pressing other buttons yes tuesday rant crusty yank podcast episode

00:08:06.980 239 topics tax pause for land canada and mp canadians telling to vote more liberals and inclusion and

00:08:13.020 exclusion and welcome back i'm your host crusty canuck on this beautiful halloween night yes i hope you

00:08:19.240 all dressed up and got your candy and uh you know sitting there chewing on some little kit kats or

00:08:24.360 mars bars whatever you fancy there too when i was a kid i used to enjoy those uh uh what were they

00:08:29.800 called oh they're like tootsie rolls yeah you chew and chew and chew and where you lick lick lick and get 0.69

00:08:34.660 to the center and voila you got that little gummy candy there too that was one of my favorites too

00:08:38.800 and a little coffee crisps and stuff like that as well but i digress anyway carrying on this episode

00:08:44.420 carrying on with this episode oh sorry i'll get to that later anyhow i'm just a little concerned

00:08:54.940 with the priorities that we have here when it comes to certain individuals that constantly promote

00:09:01.180 uh the self

00:09:03.460 okay sorry about that ladies and gentlemen

00:09:07.900 sorry about that i'll take that call later i'm just really really tired of the sidestepping and

00:09:16.940 the excuses that we are constantly getting from people every time we turn around especially in

00:09:22.020 regards to carbon taxes when it comes to where canadian money's going now these individuals really

00:09:26.920 smart they wouldn't be encouraging heat pumps they would be encouraging self-sufficiency or

00:09:31.780 they can leave the people the hell alone am i right they can leave people alone when it comes to all

00:09:41.400 this garbage okay they can leave people alone when it comes to telling people who to vote for where to 0.95

00:09:46.300 spend their money and you know that's it but they're creating more turmoil and they'd be creating more 0.98

00:09:52.420 chaos in the long run so whatever their agenda is when it comes to green technology

00:09:57.440 or green capabilities i want to see them live on heat pumps

00:10:01.820 right i'd like to see them purchase a heat pump

00:10:05.400 and try living north of ottawa or north of sudbury ontario for a whole winter

00:10:11.080 on one heat pump in an average home i'd like to see them try that

00:10:15.660 and i hope they get back to us and how that's going to work

00:11:38.120 leave a link to their show too in the description uh basically a conservative couple blue collar 0.70

00:11:43.100 couple common sense couple who are basically standing up to the ridiculous standard status

00:11:47.620 quo that's being rammed down our throats as we speak so check them out too if you can find people

00:11:52.520 at northern perspective so i'm going to do is i'm going to queue up a video here uh a few lovely people

00:11:56.620 and this is miss uh geedy or good i can't even pronounce her name we'll just call her goody 0.99

00:12:02.080 goody hutchins and she is the uh rural economic development minister you know she's bragging about how cold 1.00

00:12:09.660 it is newfoundland and yet she's encouraging people to use heat pumps really silly silly cow 0.75

00:12:15.300 but i'll just queue this video up for you guys and you guys can judge for yourselves you know some of 0.98

00:12:21.580 the stupid things she has saying and uh you know she she's also telling us you know that uh if you want 0.96

00:12:29.740 real change in this country that uh you know we should all vote for more liberals now look at the track 1.00

00:12:34.900 record of the liberals in this country and what they have done to the economy as we speak ladies 0.65

00:12:40.300 and gentlemen not much except put us in debt and create more animosity and uh another garbage so i'll

00:12:47.580 just queue this up for you and uh listen among yourselves okay

00:12:51.260 about the changes is minister of rural economic development and mp from newfoundland and labrador

00:12:59.900 goody hutchings hi minister great to have you here thank you so much for making the time

00:13:03.300 thank you i've asked you for having me on the show minister can canadians take from the doubling

00:13:08.280 of the rural rebate that the car

00:13:10.840 oh there's some blackouts here i didn't know that well interesting 0.57

00:13:18.060 interesting listen to canadians in atlantic canada and i want to give a shout out to cody boy and my

00:13:25.520 colleagues in atlantic caucus for continuing to push on this issue but we had a wonderful program

00:13:30.680 the oil the heat heat pump program and after listening to people over the summer we realized

00:13:35.680 we had to make some tweaks we know in atlantic canada there are more people heating their

00:13:40.420 homes with oil so it's significant now to do this now before people start to fill up their tanks for

00:13:45.360 the winter and show that there is a plan in place to help people move from oil heat to a heat pump source

00:13:51.760 yeah and a heat pump is ineffective because it's not really going to work uh under minus 25

00:14:00.180 now factor in wind chill that happens to most of canada doesn't matter if you're in the east coast

00:14:04.460 or west coast or way up north in tuktoyaktuk it's going to screw you over and it's going to be harder

00:14:09.900 on the grid but i'll let miss goody finish her saying and i certainly do take your point on that and i have

00:14:15.340 questions about the heat pump and in particular uh heating oil in just a moment but my original question

00:14:19.740 minister was about the doubling of the rebate for rural canadians you have represented rural canada

00:14:25.060 for a number of years you know that people in other provinces where the carbon tax was imposed

00:14:29.740 prior to atlantic canada had called out specifically what they felt was a disproportionate impact on

00:14:34.940 rural ways of life because of the lack of alternatives for example when the price of gas

00:14:39.680 shot up or when they had to pay a carbon tax on on natural gas for example why is it in this

00:14:46.280 instance your government feels it's okay to do something but not for those canadians

00:14:51.180 well we are dashi the the doubling the of the uh rural rebate is for all canadians in all rural

00:14:57.800 parts of canada that is not it doesn't affect farmers or fishers so we have been listening and

00:15:03.180 we're getting it done now and like i said

00:15:05.000 the rebate consists of maybe a lousy 200 bucks or maybe a bit more in a one-time shot a one-time deal

00:15:15.360 one big lump sum not quite quite refundable enough i'll carry on

00:15:20.820 with the combination of efforts between the doubling of the tax it shows that we do understand

00:15:27.340 the people in rural need a little longer to switch to a greener choice we need a little longer to make

00:15:32.240 sure that we get ev charges out into rural areas so we're listening and we're reacting and we did

00:15:36.880 react yesterday and i'm very pleased with the government on the decision that sorry it keeps

00:15:40.020 blacking out here it must be ctv news or someone trying to censor it i don't know but i watched this

00:15:44.900 the first time and there was no blackouts in it or any censorship

00:15:47.600 carbon price was first imposed on provinces in the west for example you were listening

00:15:53.660 to constituents there is it because you've seen such a drop in your polling numbers particularly

00:15:58.640 in atlantic canada i think the abacus poll in june put the liberals at 36 percent by september you

00:16:04.680 were down to 30 percent the conservatives at 32 percent in june were up to 43 percent

00:16:09.340 in september is this actually this isn't about polls it's about people and if you know vashy this

00:16:16.220 isn't about polls this is about people and if you looked at the polls in 2015 you would have seen

00:16:20.160 that we were in third place i don't pay any attention to polls but i do pay attention to

00:16:24.100 constituents and people and i have traveled the country as minister of rural economic development

00:16:28.240 and i know what rural canada is look my writing is bigger than switzerland i have over 200 communities

00:16:33.300 i don't have 10 communities with a population over a thousand people over 10 000 people i've got five

00:16:39.380 communities accessible by boat only so trust me i know what rural canada is rural canadians also want

00:16:45.280 to make the right choices we we know there's an issue with climate change i just wish every party

00:16:50.400 realized there was an issue with climate change look since day one our focus has been solid we want

00:16:55.900 to protect the environment we're going to combat climate change and we're going to be there for

00:16:59.820 people and that's what we are now by doubling the rural rebate in all rural areas of our country okay

00:17:04.600 and certainly i'm not trying to negate from the impacts of climate change nor the fact that canadians

00:17:10.880 want our government to help in fighting those effects but i am asking you about why when you talk about

00:17:17.680 the constituency that you represented you now decide that it's okay to double the rebate for

00:17:24.180 rural canadians but it was not okay to do that previously why did you not respond then and only

00:17:29.600 now is it just because atlantic canadian seats were in jeopardy and you don't have that many seats to

00:17:34.440 be in jeopardy in western canada no it's not bashy it's like i've said a few times now we have listened 0.97

00:17:39.740 to our constituents everybody wants to make a choice and we're now helping you don't give two shits

00:17:45.060 about the low income earners your government has never given a care about the low income earners

00:17:50.260 you have taxed low income earners you've taxed the middle class and you're basically forcing your

00:17:55.560 will down to your constituents throats all you're doing miss hutchings and the liberal party and 0.69

00:18:01.280 prime minister trudeau you're buying votes you sit there and think you're giving them a break

00:18:05.920 slap and tickle here slap and tickle here then they'll cut the pickle after the next federal election 1.00

00:18:11.600 people make a choice especially the low income earners especially people that are living paycheck

00:18:17.500 to paycheck and so now we're making sure that everybody can participate no matter what your

00:18:22.680 income is we're going to help you be cleaner and greener and more money in your pocket which is what

00:18:26.880 this is all about it's about affordability and when this program works here and we know it's working

00:18:31.640 we're working with um i know we're working with the with the provincial partners to to to roll it out

00:18:37.840 on the ground it'll be rolled out across the country so that will help all canadians no matter

00:18:42.980 where you live and just especially in rural areas and especially where you're heating your home with

00:18:47.180 oil just to pick up on that point and the possibility of further uh amendments to this policy

00:18:52.880 based on issues around okay affordability affordability means you keep your hands out of

00:18:58.660 our pockets and you keep your hands in your pockets like i said you're making about 200 000 plus a

00:19:03.860 year lady crack don't smoke itself affordability i know that that both the premier of alberta and the

00:19:10.600 leader of the opposition in that province uh posted statements following the decision around home

00:19:15.820 heating oil uh premier smith said the federal government has decided that one part of canada

00:19:19.740 with one type of home heating is worthy of a carbon tax break while those living elsewhere using another

00:19:24.960 type of home heating do not is your government open to uh because of the affordability crisis right

00:19:30.880 across this country looking at other carve outs for other types of home heating in the future

00:19:34.520 that's a discussion that we'll have down the road when we know that this one is working

00:19:38.600 but i can tell you atlantic caucus was vocal with what they've heard from their constituents

00:19:43.720 and uh perhaps they need to elect more liberals on the prairies that we can have that conversation as

00:19:49.140 well with risk have to vote for more liberals on the prairies really where the liberals done for the

00:19:55.840 prairies what are the liberals done for alberta what are they done for saskatchewan what are they

00:20:02.180 done for manitoba what are they done for the northwest territories none of it yukon and honestly what 0.98

00:20:09.980 are they done for ontario okay what are they done bastards back minister does that mean because there 0.96

00:20:17.700 aren't liberals in the prairies right now that are representing around the caucus or around the cabinet 0.98

00:20:24.080 table that the people of alberta will have to live a more unaffordable life and the people in

00:20:29.740 atlantic canada does that seem fair fashie they're going to have the same options they're going to get

00:20:35.260 the the doubling of the of the rural rebate and then when the program rolls out they will be able to

00:20:41.700 to to uh for the oil to heat pump and trust me atlantic canada the atlantic caucus came with these

00:20:49.280 options they presented them to the prime minister they presented in the cabinet they said this is what we

00:20:53.860 think will work in rural canada and in rural atlantic canada we also have a rural caucus the rural

00:20:59.380 caucus in ottawa was fully supportive of this and i'm sure if it works and it's gonna the overall

00:21:04.980 message here is to put more money in people's pockets and to reduce the impact of our carbon

00:21:09.860 footprint on the country we all have to do better for our generation for our grandchildren's generations

00:21:15.060 and future generations so let's come to the table with solutions and i'll challenge anybody to

00:21:20.020 come to the table with a solution of how we can lower our carbon footprint all across the country

00:21:24.960 that's what this is all about but but it's also about responding okay that's enough of her she has

00:21:33.100 driving me nuts she is driving me nuts anyhow ladies and gentlemen um just uh really carbon footprint we

00:21:40.540 have to stop carbon we're on the cusp of world war three and that's your that's your concern

00:21:44.780 we have to stop the carbon footprint we have to take more money from you and buy heat pumps from

00:21:53.500 government insiders and little you know we have to get kickbacks of course kickbacks yes kickbacks

00:21:58.740 have to get more kickbacks from you and it screws us over talking about affordability where's the

00:22:05.680 research when it comes to tide waters like actual tides that generate electricity tides come in

00:22:11.600 tides come out you can put turbines in the water you won't hurt the fish you can generate hydro

00:22:15.920 electricity there which could suffice the whole east coast of canada hell even some of our friends

00:22:22.420 down in the states could suffice from that too right there's a cash crop right there for the people 0.97

00:22:28.440 of nova scotia people in newfoundland hey look at all this electricity we're generating from our side of

00:22:32.720 the ocean hey maybe we can give some to our american friends too back and forth exchange you know trade

00:22:37.880 and commerce brotherhood unity that kind of thing getting along with people but miss hutchings you

00:22:44.980 just you made it very very clear that you you are programmed you're following the party plan you're

00:22:52.120 you're following the party you're not following your people you're not representing the constituents

00:22:55.540 you just don't care you're just there for the few bucks and uh they're for the fun right

00:23:01.320 yeah well fun time's over stay updated and follow crusty canuck on facebook twitter gap telegram

00:23:09.920 youtube and podbean subscribe today and donate at crustycanuck.ca

00:23:15.360 and it brings me to the point ladies and gentlemen too that every time i hear these guys talk about

00:23:23.200 the environment it's like i'll ask again what innovations have been presented to us what innovations 0.97

00:23:28.540 on the table other than wind solar and now heat pumps shit pumps basically shit pumps you know and uh 0.97

00:23:37.140 when it comes to these people advocating and telling us what we should be doing in return they deserve 0.96

00:23:43.900 absolutely nothing exactly and uh i'm just i don't know i i'm just i'm lost for words today for some

00:23:55.040 reasons and the first time in a while ladies gentlemen but i'll remind you too if you like

00:24:26.440 united states and hopefully one day all over the world i'll get to watch my show and see some real

00:24:30.480 good canadian content and don't forget to put the thumbs up give me a click of a like and subscribe

00:24:35.300 and comment to wherever you see this because the comments help it generates interest people get to

00:24:40.980 watch it people get to see it and it promotes canadian content and that's that's a good thing we need 0.98

00:24:45.620 this here in canada right now because we have buffoons calling the shots we have clowns on parade 0.86

00:24:49.940 and it doesn't look good for the average canadian right now as we speak uh it doesn't look good for 0.96

00:24:55.200 a lot of people around the world too but at the moment uh let's just keep focused on this episode

00:25:00.440 so tax pause for land at canada mp telling canada to vote more liberals and inclusion and exclusion so

00:25:06.520 the tax pause may be a good thing for land at canada but what about the rest of us right and of course you

00:25:12.480 just heard miss uh giddy goody hutchings talking and saying we should vote more liberals if you want to be

00:25:18.120 heard uh you were in parliament you should be listening to all canadians doesn't matter if

00:25:22.400 they're liberal or not right but i'll carry on with inclusion and exclusion so there's still some big

00:25:27.200 stink out there the remembrance day and people that have served this country and now the girl guides in

00:25:32.660 ottawa are not allowed to go to the santa claus parade because of its religious impact now my

00:25:38.580 understanding of inclusion means you include everybody into something doesn't matter where they're from

00:25:46.280 doesn't matter how they look doesn't matter how they smell doesn't matter what they say or what

00:25:50.300 they do or who they love whatever you're supposed to include everybody that simple but of course a lot

00:25:56.840 of these woke individuals who look after the girl guides or the boy scouts of canada and some of our

00:26:01.820 brass in the military okay stating simple facts that we're not doing this because because we're not

00:26:09.320 promoting inclusion so how do you promote inclusion when you exclude people from something or you exclude

00:26:17.420 from doing something honestly think about that for a second folks

00:26:23.060 self-explanatory

00:26:31.140 yours truly was let go from a job because i spoke my mind in regards to teaching children sex ed

00:26:38.460 uh it was working in a base gym and i guess someone didn't like my conversation i've said this story

00:26:43.620 before but i'll say it again anyway ladies and gentlemen and apparently i just said leave kids

00:26:49.180 alone let them grow up and decide what they want to do who they are doesn't matter who they love

00:26:53.260 whatever and when you keep ramming things down people's throats you're not being inclusive you're

00:27:00.640 being forceful okay you're promoting a doctrine you're promoting a dog promoting propaganda an ideology

00:27:06.880 okay if you want to be truly inclusive and you include everybody who wants to be there 0.91

00:27:12.280 if they don't want to be there well you don't have to include them that's fine it's shit simple

00:27:16.980 yet simple things turn into a real task for these individuals because they're so worried about 0.60

00:27:22.620 offending somebody they don't want to hurt somebody's feelings they don't want to hurt somebody

00:27:26.820 oh my god what are we going to do when we're here defending somebody you're not offending anybody

00:27:30.860 except the people that want to take their kids to girl guides or to boy scouts or people that want to

00:27:35.420 join the military or people want to take part in ceremonies you're not going to be inclusive

00:27:39.800 by exclusion okay that's like sticking your finger into a socket oh i'm not going to hurt myself

00:27:48.220 i'm not going to hurt myself i'm not going to hurt myself i'm not going to hurt myself and then all

00:27:53.680 of a sudden you've got like you know 10 000 volts going through your body but you're still i'm not 0.99

00:27:56.720 going to hurt myself you see how stupid that is so these individuals these bureaucrats and leaders 0.99

00:28:01.740 are like sitting there saying oh we're gonna have to be more inclusive then you include people 1.00

00:28:06.600 into things you promote the inclusion if you're so worried about offending somebody who prays a

00:28:13.780 certain way then have a ceremony that helps people that pray a certain way or have a ceremony that

00:28:18.360 helps those individuals that pray this way right or include all prayers on remembrance day and include

00:28:26.460 all prayers on christmas because it's the winter solstice too it has roots back to paganism when the

00:28:32.320 end of the harvest would come and the pagans would celebrate another great year let's celebrate let's

00:28:37.540 drink some mead and pray to the gods of the snow and the moon and the sun yes

00:28:42.400 right what's wrong with that my christmas my remembrance day includes everybody especially

00:28:51.600 everybody who served and everybody who wants to show their respects inclusion not exclusion it's that

00:28:59.660 simple all right anyways gentlemen i've been crusty canuck in this beautiful october 31st halloween
