00:02:01.220 i'm off early for work so i might as well share this with you you wonderful people

00:02:04.540 my wonderful wonderful fan base you guys are awesome thank you very much you guys are pretty well

00:02:10.540 good to go i want to say thank you last night to all the great comments i got i had some audio

00:02:14.500 issues on the machine again i don't know what it was maybe because it was a rain or some static

00:02:18.680 someplace i don't know i sent an email to the powers that be i.e the provider of this fine piece of

00:02:24.680 equipment and to the fine people at stream yard and see what's going on i did a test earlier

00:02:30.660 everything seems to be fine everything's to be plugged in the right places i took an air canister

00:02:36.500 to it blew some things out wipe this clean that blah blah blah blah blah and make a long story

00:02:41.320 short let's hope the audio on this is satisfactory to your listening pleasure anyway as the title card

00:02:46.860 said a gag order on the carbon tax so uh alex giro the pbo uh financial officer uh was basically told

00:02:54.180 not to speak his mind now i do have an article here in the works i will put in my description uh for

00:03:00.080 ladies and gentlemen but when somebody who works for the parliamentary budget office okay i i think

00:03:07.580 you should have more personnel there working on making sure there's the finances and there's money

00:03:12.080 there and everything else too to make sure that there's money to keep this country going however

00:03:16.700 our federal government of course in his wisdom does not want to share the information on what the

00:03:22.520 pbo has really found he more or less said that it's not beneficial to canadians it's robbing canadians

00:03:28.220 blind okay because we've all seen that video with mr mark harland jumping down parliament saying

00:03:33.300 oh my god if you take these kids in a road trip the planet's burning how dare you be inconsiderate

00:03:38.020 we've all seen the footage i'm not going to put it up again but you know you just how these liberals

00:03:42.340 react and they think this carbon tax is beneficial because they all keep saying eight out of ten people

00:03:47.680 are getting a morning back for for for paying and for for climate change and yet there's two million

00:03:53.700 people going to food banks ladies and gentlemen so i don't know where he gets this eight out of ten

00:03:59.280 people eight out of ten canadians are doing better off how the hell are we doing better off when

00:04:03.120 things are more expensive it's it's bloody obvious anyhow i'm going to queue up a video here from

00:04:08.900 lorne gunter who basically gives his insight in regards to the abcds of carbon tax and just the

00:04:16.780 buffoonery that has been bestowed on us in regards to that issue so i'll queue up for that shortly but

00:04:23.780 as i ramble on here about our carbon taxes no taxes is really good now we all hear the adage about death

00:04:30.980 and taxes death and taxes those are the only two things that are certain in our lives yet when you're

00:04:35.940 paying anywhere from 42 to 46 in some cases 51 percent of your income to taxes something's not right

00:04:46.120 something isn't right now i've had people say well crusty you get a pension that's taxes well yeah i've

00:04:55.280 earned that the the canada pension plan is taxes that goes into that to help people that worked 40 50

00:05:04.300 years of their lives so they got something to live off of right but even that's tax too so when you look

00:05:12.400 at everything that has come in in the name of taxation we'll say the past 34 years gst coming

00:05:17.280 around 1990 because brian marooney and his cronies spent a lot of money so they put good and services

00:05:22.480 on everything and then they up the ante on tobacco and liquor and find things that people like to enjoy

00:05:27.840 after a hard week's work okay and now we all know the the con with the federal government telling us

00:05:35.020 the carbon taxes are good because we're fighting climate change well what have we seen

00:05:39.440 in the name of fighting climate change right have we seen ocean turbines that can generate hydroelectricity

00:05:47.380 for coastal towns and cities have we seen any kind of turbine in the great lakes that can generate

00:05:52.640 electricity there's enough current the great lakes that could do it believe it or not regardless of

00:05:57.920 what kind of fishing rights are there or not right how many innovations have we seen we saw this past

00:06:04.520 winter okay especially in alberta how there was eight percent of the grid that was relied on wind and solar

00:06:13.180 how did that wind fare how did that solar fare we had brownouts and blackouts because of it way to go

00:06:20.340 motley notley you dizzy cow now mr nenshi wants to do the same thing so how did that fare for the average

00:06:27.340 canadian now i just paid last month's bill for my heat and hydro my electricity and my gas it was close

00:06:36.200 to 400 bucks ladies and gentlemen and we did need a lot of gas and we didn't need a lot of heat 0.91

00:06:41.500 need electricity of course but then when you actually look at the carbon price it was about 85 bucks

00:06:48.360 right so it's costing canadians so how can the federal government say i'm getting more back

00:06:55.280 when we're paying more out and people forget that the carbon tax is not just for gasoline

00:07:00.880 it's for diesel it's for turning your lights on for using these fine machines right because we're

00:07:07.540 such terrible polluters anyway i'll leave a link from alex geroux there too there's a soundbite from

00:07:15.180 twitter where he basically says in committee that is not beneficial it is not good for the canadian

00:07:20.480 worker it is not good for anybody right and of course the federal government's claiming that the

00:07:25.100 carbon tax is beneficial how is any tax beneficial unless we're getting ready for world war three 0.99

00:07:30.960 interesting you decide ladies and gentlemen it is just just another shit show 0.97

00:07:55.100 and you're back ladies and gentlemen episode 289 of the crusty canuck podcast carbon gag tax and

00:08:01.860 no names released that's right federal government refuses to release names of individuals that had

00:08:07.400 might have colluded or might have accepted or got some kind of payola or some kind of kickback or a

00:08:14.320 slap and tickle from foreign influence now ironically enough the cbc actually did a pretty decent story

00:08:20.160 on that today and i will actually play this for you too but i'll get back to lord gunter's uh

00:08:25.600 loren gunter's report on the carbon tax issue and ladies and gentlemen you decide on it like i always 0.96

00:08:32.240 encourage you to you get you guys decide you're not idiots you're not morons and i'm personally getting 1.00

00:08:37.200 sick and tired of all these elected officials that keep calling us idiots and morons or the way they 1.00

00:08:41.760 speak to us like miss freeland right so here's something from loren gunter he did today for the 0.99

00:08:47.840 toronto sun and uh you guys decide on your own and formulate your own decisions as we should

00:08:55.940 all righty let's queue it up here we go are they hiding parliamentary budget officer yves gero says that

00:09:04.580 the federal government has an internal study that shows the carbon tax costs canadians more than they

00:09:12.220 get back in rebates now almost every canadian already thinks that but the government has insisted

00:09:19.880 including as recently as this week that eight out of ten canadians get more in rebates from the

00:09:27.820 federal government than they pay in carbon tax on their fuel that's ridiculous because the effects of

00:09:38.020 the carbon tax go way beyond putting gas into your tank or paying a carbon tax charge on the natural gas

00:09:47.180 that heats your home the carbon tax affects everything we buy that has to move to where we buy it

00:09:56.060 take for example your groceries it affects the truck that brings the groceries to the store

00:10:04.340 but it goes way back beyond that let's take meat for example it affects the cattle

00:10:11.460 since the implementation of the carbon tax we've seen prices go up okay so the emissions have risen

00:10:19.880 because more people are getting mobile more people are moving around so you're going to have carbon

00:10:23.760 it's not that hard to figure out federal government that have to be moved to the slaughterhouse before

00:10:29.200 they are moved as meat to the grocery store it affects the barley or whatever else is being fed the corn

00:10:35.820 that's being fed to the cattle before they are fattened up enough to move to the slaughterhouse

00:10:41.960 it affects all of the inputs for everything that we buy and oh yes you vegans who think we should all

00:10:49.440 stop eating meat to save the planet because the the the the cattle's methane emissions are ruining

00:10:55.680 the climate yes even your rutabaga costs money because of the carbon tax the the added inflation

00:11:05.760 as a result of the carbon tax i would peg at about one third because everything that goes to a manufacturer

00:11:14.640 that goes to a service company everything that moves on a truck or in a train pays a carbon tax

00:11:24.240 and so do i have any figures for that no but the government says that the carbon tax saves one third

00:11:30.080 of the emissions and they have no numbers or figures for that either not even this secretive report

00:11:35.120 that yves giro says he he has seen but he's not allowed to reveal to you

00:11:41.520 they don't even have emissions numbers in that report they cannot tell you and they admit

00:11:48.400 the federal environment minister and his ministry admit they don't even track how many emissions are

00:11:56.640 being saved by the carbon tax so they're adding all of this cost to canadians they're putting this

00:12:02.080 big weight this big drag on the canadian economy and they can't even tell you whether it's affecting

00:12:07.520 emissions or not

00:12:11.440 it is utterly useless and unforgivable that they will not show canadians their internal analysis

00:12:19.760 of the economic impact of the carbon tax but they know that as soon as they do

00:12:23.520 any political any political any political advantage that they get from the carbon tax will evaporate

00:12:32.560 because maybe there are people out there who still believe that they get more in the rebate

00:12:38.320 every quarter from the federal government than they pay in carbon tax i checked ours out we pay more

00:12:46.160 in carbon tax on the natural gas that heats our home in january and february than we get in our quarterly

00:12:55.200 rebate that's how the carbon tax works and when more and more canadians understand a it's inflationary b

00:13:05.760 it's a drag on the economy c they are not getting as much in rebates as they're paying in carbon tax

00:13:12.880 and d the government can't even tell you whether the carbon tax is having a positive effect on emissions

00:13:22.720 when those four are clear and they would be clear if the federal government would release this secret

00:13:27.920 report when that becomes clear any pretense the liberals have that the carbon tax is worthwhile

00:13:37.840 evaporate and for a party that's already on its way down that's one more blow they can't withstand

00:13:47.280 that's why they're keeping it secret for post media i'm lorne gunter

00:13:56.320 yeah that was lorne gunter from post media or sun media and he makes a valid point where how have the

00:14:01.600 emissions gone down well what's what's there for us ladies and gentlemen what's what's there

00:14:07.520 there's more taxes more debt more bs i mean more chaos right more frustration and yet the government

00:14:16.160 keeps buttering us a poop sandwich saying it's good for you please take a bite yeah well i got

00:14:21.360 something they can take a bite of stay updated and follow crusty canuck on facebook twitter gap

00:14:28.400 telegram youtube and podbean subscribe today and donate at crustycanuck.ca

00:14:37.520 and you're back ladies and gentlemen to carbon gag tax and my apologies i didn't mean alex giro is

00:14:42.800 yves giro pardon my francais anyhow he was basically told to keep his mouth shut or he they won't put

00:14:50.400 out his uh words of wisdom or his reports typical right federal government has done so many nasty things

00:14:56.960 in keeping things quiet keeping us in the dark so much for transparency and sunny ways right 0.99

00:15:02.720 anyhow make a long story short it's bullshit it was bullshit when they promoted it it's 1.00

00:15:08.640 bullshit when they sat there and stomped their feet in parliament and it's bullshit now when it 1.00

00:15:12.320 comes to our wallets and our day-to-day lives hey liberals leave us alone hey and conservatives if you 1.00

00:15:20.800 get in leave us alone that simple anyway carrying on with this episode of 289 no names released yeah the

00:15:29.520 second part of this show that's right so the federal government refuses to release names because

00:15:33.680 cesus and the rcmp have written reports in regards to the federal interference the past

00:15:39.280 couple years now that's been a lot of people's minds the interference with our elections interference

00:15:43.200 with uh decision making now ironically enough the cbc did a pretty good story i watched this earlier

00:15:49.440 today and i'm going to play this for you and i want you all to listen to it carefully and i'm

00:15:54.560 really surprised the cbc actually went this far you know to basically bite the hand that feeds them

00:16:00.080 basically to shit where they eat kind of thing but you my wonderful audience i want you to decide 0.60

00:16:04.400 especially my americans and my british audience too please listen carefully and observe willingly 0.98

00:16:09.520 of course there's miss freeland there with her infinite wisdom and her fancy god-awful sneakers 1.00

00:16:14.240 what the hell is she doing to her hair is she tweaking again i don't know we'll have to see 1.00

00:16:17.040 but uh ladies and gentlemen you guys decide on this issue i just it's amazing how they do not talk

00:16:25.680 about the names of certain mps and i bet you they're probably pretty close and ironically enough

00:16:31.760 they have also mentioned some senators might be involved in this too right so like i said last night

00:16:39.200 some of these senators are appointed they're not they're not well they're all the point they're not

00:16:42.560 elected so it gives you some really really good insight what you decide needs to be law enforcement

00:16:51.120 that takes the steps and takes the actions

00:16:55.680 canada's deputy prime minister saying that it's up to police agencies to decide whether

00:16:59.520 nbs broke the law it comes after a parliamentary committee found that some parliamentarians

00:17:04.560 wittingly aided foreign state actors such as india and china and their names haven't been made public

00:17:10.640 by the committee but legislators say that there may be police investigations and details eventually

00:17:16.000 released as part of that process joining us now is kenny chu he's a former conservative mp who lost his

00:17:22.320 seat in the last election just earlier this year the public inquiry found he may have lost it because

00:17:27.520 of chinese interference he joins us now from richmond bc kenny good to talk to you tonight thank you for

00:17:33.680 the privilege so this report finds that some parliamentarians uh they use the word wittingly

00:17:40.960 helped foreign governments like china and india deputy prime minister uh christian freeland we heard her

00:17:46.160 say liberals will deal with these allegations internally but do you think that canadians should know who

00:17:52.640 these parliamentarians are i do i do because uh without that these are supposed to be representative of

00:18:01.680 our citizens our communities and we need to know what uh what is the background what incentivize them

00:18:08.640 in the aiding and abetting with uh these uh foreign workers foreign countries and without that it is very

00:18:16.720 difficult for uh democracy to function uh in an informed way and uh because of that i i think the government

00:18:25.200 has an obligation has an obligation to disclose and let the canadian knows um who they are and why under what

00:18:32.880 circumstances kenny do you think you know who they are i i had my own suspicion uh throughout the

00:18:41.600 years of observation as just an ordinary canadians i have helped many uh politicians and i i have

00:18:51.440 observed how certain um regimes certain countries how they conduct their influence and how they get

00:18:59.040 close and network with and then later on uh make use of their relations and uh you know change the minds

00:19:07.040 and through uh these political leaders uh perhaps also in turn change the heart and minds of um diaspora communities

00:19:16.720 and also other canadians so you've got your suspicions uh you're not naming names because there are suspicions

00:19:22.800 yeah but do you think it's um an issue that's more a problem for one particular party or is this across the board

00:19:30.960 i think there are certain political parties that are more susceptible to these uh interference

00:19:37.520 um although none of the parties are um completely removed and um inoculated from from these uh interference

00:19:49.600 because in the end i'll use the chinese communist party as an example uh what they what they want is to get

00:19:58.160 close to the the heart and the center of power so the closer a party is to power uh the more likely

00:20:07.120 they will try to infiltrate and try to get close and therefore influence the power and uh so if you

00:20:14.320 are you know six or fifth uh ranking in the number of seats in house of commons perhaps you are probably

00:20:22.320 more safe but if you are first second or third then uh you will likely get uh you know get close and

00:20:29.840 attempts to influence you um these allegations come after reports that you may have lost your seat in the

00:20:36.400 2021 election as a result of chinese interference uh do you think these new allegations against

00:20:41.520 parliamentarians may have had something to do with your loss that year and how do you feel about that

00:20:47.440 well i've been i've been telling anybody everybody who's willing to listen that this is not about

00:20:52.480 kenny chu this is about canada the democracy the democracy the foundation of our of our society

00:20:59.200 um and that only nc cop's report only tells us that unfortunately even judge hoag has not been given

00:21:07.920 sufficient mandate or time to look into how deep and how why foreign interference has been in canada

00:21:16.800 the nc cop had only solicited internal government agencies to conduct their their hearing and all the

00:21:24.640 witnesses listed in the reports are basically mps or ministers or or government agencies um unfortunately

00:21:33.840 that part of the foreign interference was not covered by the uh judge hoag's um you know foreign

00:21:41.360 interference inquiry and i believe it was by design uh it was you know trying to do a quick um you know

00:21:49.760 sweep that under the carpet kind of cover and and it's unfortunate because there there are so many

00:21:56.240 tentacles that uh these foreign countries i'm not just pointing fingers at uh the chinese communist 0.65

00:22:02.720 party but there are other uh that are trying to influence us as a multicultural society in the world

00:22:10.720 kenny sure i take your point this is not just about kenny chu though you may have been directly

00:22:16.240 affected by it and as somebody who's an outsider not part of this um hearing this the idea that a

00:22:21.760 sitting parliamentarian would willingly be active in this way i mean it sounds like something you'd see

00:22:27.760 in a movie so it may not be about you kenny chu but what would like you kenny chu like to have

00:22:33.200 seen done about this given your experience

00:22:36.560 i i think we need to hold our elected officials to account uh perhaps not only just elected officials

00:22:46.720 because senators are not elected uh there but their conducts also um have to be have to be held

00:22:54.160 accountable for example why would uh senators uh couple of the senators been continue to spread 0.55

00:23:01.840 disinformation about uh the foreign uh influence registry uh either proposed by um the the current

00:23:10.240 liberal government or the ones that i i propose as anti-chinese the the the version that i propose in 2021

00:23:20.000 did not even mention the word china or chinese in there um but yet they continue to tell the diaspora

00:23:27.520 community that uh people like myself or other other um uh you know other parties are are picking on

00:23:37.840 certain uh diaspora community um you know that's that's just trying to fan the flame and also for

00:23:46.560 matching um hates and uh unfortunately their their attempts are actually making use of um these diaspora 0.60

00:23:56.000 communities why are they doing that the incentives that's what i would like to hear that's what i would

00:24:02.080 like to uh give these uh public officials a chance to explain themselves kenny chu former conservative mp

00:24:09.920 really good to talk to you tonight thanks

00:24:17.760 and that was uh kenny chu uh former conservative mp um i remember a couple years ago him speaking out

00:24:25.680 about uh about uh the apparent interference now hand dong out of don mills uh he was actually kicked

00:24:33.760 out of the liberal caucus but he still sits as an independent so who knows and rebel media did a

00:24:39.760 couple of great stories in regards to certain chinese police stations in the greater toronto area

00:24:47.760 so what's that tell you ladies and gentlemen now if there's a few mps that knew what was going on and

00:24:52.080 have had a slap and tickle for the pickle and simpaola and a couple of senators it puts things

00:24:57.680 in perspective now doesn't it because we've all heard prime minister trudeau love china's basic

00:25:03.840 dictatorship right yes of course and we're seeing an influx of a lot of indian migrant workers

00:25:11.600 who are demanding special rights and privileges you know better work permits better visas

00:25:18.000 just like that so it makes you think now ladies and gentlemen don't get me wrong this is nothing

00:25:22.960 racial at all i'm not being a racist by any means but proof is in the pudding okay and like i said 0.89

00:25:31.360 earlier they all want to butter us up a shit sandwich and that's what's turning into stay updated and follow 0.97

00:26:56.800 rolling if i get extra time i will make another podcast too you wonderful people out there but

00:27:02.320 it gives you something to think about how this government is really treating our tax dollars

00:27:06.320 what they're willing to do to garnish or to gain any kind of treadway for their favor and how they're

00:27:12.480 really treating us so i would highly suggest that you write your senators and write your mp

00:27:19.440 you know um i i've said before numerous times ladies and gentlemen i think there's something in the

00:27:25.280 works and it doesn't look doesn't look promising i'm not going to try to be a donny downer here and

00:27:32.720 try to arrange your parades but i think something bad is going to happen and we're going to be stuck

00:27:38.000 in the middle with it we'll have to sort it out that's just my best guess that's my hypothesis

00:27:43.840 over the whole situation and you know i'm actually impressed with cbc actually doing a decent story for once

00:27:51.200 right but people are catching on to cbc's bs too with their executives and their bureaucrats and

00:27:57.120 edmunds alike laying people off and giving themselves little tickles here and there

00:28:01.360 and then even the canadian taxpayer which is going to stop abruptly i think

00:28:06.160 but anyhow ladies and gentlemen i am in crusty connect on this beautiful 5th of june 2024 weather

00:28:11.680 is getting better we had a bit of a windy day today so work was kind of odd unless i'm home early
