The Crusty Canuck Podcast - Reviewing my ＂Hate＂ mail ⧸ Review of this week's Events

00:00:00.000 afternoon ladies and gentlemen is a beautiful 28th april 2020 coming up in the podcast this

00:00:06.880 week i will be discussing more of my hate mail and more of my personal thoughts on the nova

00:00:12.040 scotia tragedy and more of the covid issue all that more coming up the crusty connect podcast

00:00:17.800 stay tuned

00:00:18.840 this podcast is brought to you by mad header industries no quarter given and rampage coffee

00:00:46.700 company strong rich and smooth here's crusty greetings ladies and gentlemen i'm your host

00:00:54.180 crusty canuck and yes as i said in the description i'll be discussing some of my hate mail i've been

00:00:59.660 receiving and other topics especially in regards to the devastation nova scotia and more of the

00:01:05.100 covid so i'll start off this podcast with a lot of the hate mail i've been receiving now uh back in

00:01:11.340 the 20th after some of the smoke cleared we figured out what was going on with what happened

00:01:17.140 nova scotia i posted a question on my facebook page i think it's time to really discuss our

00:01:23.180 charter rights especially in the name of self-defense we need the right of self-defense without persecution

00:01:27.960 and prosecution what do you think and uh believe it or not i have got an overwhelming positive response

00:01:34.440 from cc fans and others alike in regards to self-defense in this country now i'm not trying

00:01:41.280 to use this catastrophe to promote gun violence so to those people out there that have accused me of 0.99

00:01:46.960 being some kind of right-wing fascist fucking gun nazi fuck you you're wrong i'm no gun nazi i'm a gun 0.99

00:01:54.740 owner and i'm an enthusiast and i'm a believer in the sport and i believe in hunting and i believe in 1.00

00:01:59.260 self-defense that simple i had a lot of positive response uh from individuals uh some of my cc fans

00:02:06.960 as well as uh outsiders and people have listened to the podcast and watched the videos and uh people

00:02:12.260 in general and i'm grateful thank you very much the kind response uh but in regards to some of the

00:02:17.260 quote-unquote hate mail i've received um i've had some interesting uh words said to me um like i said

00:02:26.540 i'm gonna respect people's privacy i'm not gonna dock anybody or dox anyone or try to ruin anyone's

00:02:32.420 life or anyone's opinion as far as i'm concerned we're all entitled to our opinions doesn't matter

00:02:38.660 if you like guns doesn't matter if you don't like guns if you like hot water like cold water if you

00:02:43.220 like barbecues on sundays or barbecues on wednesdays i i i don't care i'm not judging you based in your

00:02:48.740 opinion you are entitled to your opinion as far as i'm concerned as a north american as a canadian as a 0.94

00:02:53.920 grown-ass fucking adult you are entitled to an opinion but when you use that opinion 0.98

00:02:58.780 to start harming and starting to slandering people then we've got a problem right i've had a few 0.99

00:03:07.040 individuals come up to me and say uh magical things about hate speech and how i should not say this and

00:03:13.240 say that because i might hurt some stranger's feelings well every time you turn on the national

00:03:18.460 news every time you open my national paper there's always something in there that's going to hurt you

00:03:23.740 something that's going to depress you or make you feel sad or make you feel bad that's life 0.80

00:03:29.520 but some of these clowns and i will say clowns weighing in saying oh if you want guns so much 0.95

00:03:35.400 then go live in the states or if you want to do this go live in the states no i don't want to live 0.94

00:03:41.240 in the states i want to live in canada i love canada i want to live here in our home and native land

00:03:46.920 i want to live in canada i want to be a canadian because i was born here my parents were born here

00:03:53.380 my grandparents were born here okay i have family members that served in the second world war served

00:03:59.340 in korea my father was a firefighter so public service is not a big deal to our family

00:04:07.380 but that service and the people that we worked with and work for and the people that we live with

00:04:15.700 and live for that's worth fighting for okay so whether you agree to having a gun or not that's fine

00:04:25.720 i don't promote gun violence oh my god you want to have a gun you must be a warmonger 0.99

00:04:31.520 well rather me have a gun than some shithead breaking into someone's house 0.99

00:04:35.980 looking for jewelry who's armed to the teeth who's willing to hurt and possibly kill somebody 0.99

00:04:44.380 to get his loot or to get his fix or to get away with it okay i for one i'm getting sick and tired

00:04:51.260 of having to read articles about grown-ass men who have had to defend themselves and yet get dragged 0.98

00:04:57.020 through the fucking court system because some officer or a couple of officers don't like this 0.98

00:05:02.900 man arming himself and defending his property and his family now there's many examples out there 0.99

00:05:08.740 in regards to people standing up and fighting off a tear a tyrant whether it be raiding their farmland

00:05:16.420 or raiding their home right there's many examples of people standing up saying no you're not going to

00:05:22.000 take this because it doesn't belong to you and firing a couple of rounds all right and yet our

00:05:28.680 system is based yes you have the right to self-defense but now the court has to decide how you're allowed

00:05:33.220 to defend yourself now in the criminal code i know it's a fact that you are allowed to use force

00:05:37.540 with force okay someone breaks in your house with a gun well you can have a gun too if that's how

00:05:44.240 the law reads right but then you're subjected to an inquisition you're subjected to investigation

00:05:52.580 and nine times out of ten you might get arrested and then you got to go to the court of law and

00:05:58.480 defend yourself where you have to spend anywhere from five to ten to fifteen to twenty in some cases

00:06:02.920 thirty or forty or fifty thousand dollars to defend your case for what you did

00:06:08.200 while still being on the watchful eye right while still being on the watchful eye of the rcmp or the

00:06:18.580 local authorities accordingly is that freedom folks anyway tell me what you think crusty b canuck 67 at

00:06:27.140 gmail.com or on the instagram under connect crusty and on facebook crusty canuck you can also uh send

00:06:34.500 me a snail mail if you like i'll leave the address and everything in the description and the links

00:06:37.760 provided below this podcast anyway tell me what you think leave a comment or two there on youtube

00:06:43.360 and on the pod being respectively and uh let's get the debate going but back more to this hate mail

00:06:48.780 issue uh i've seen more people weigh in again saying well if you like this go to the states if you like

00:06:53.720 that then become a gun nut and say well i'm not a gun nut i'm a gun enthusiast i own firearms i know

00:06:58.800 lots of people that own firearms but uh are no way are we gun nuts and want to wave the stars and stripes

00:07:05.140 i'm not dissing my brothers and sisters to the south okay i'm not dissing my american listeners

00:07:10.580 out there right but a lot of canadians still forget that american gun laws are based on the state to

00:07:17.300 state issue every state is different when it comes to gun laws in canada gun laws are federal

00:07:23.380 basically what happens in ottawa goes around the country it's not like new brunswick has its own or

00:07:29.940 nova scotia has its own or ontario has its own or alberta has its own it's a federal jurisdiction

00:07:34.900 okay and i had some of the excuses that i have read on this page it's i suggest go to my facebook

00:07:42.820 page and read some of the comments from my april 20th post um it's it's fascinating one kid and i will

00:07:49.500 say a kid even had the audacity to say open carry is racist how dare you say that if you want to open

00:07:58.300 carry that means you're a white supremacist really

00:08:04.060 that makes me a white supremacist because i want to open carry

00:08:07.900 huh so i my rebuttal was okay what is that based on what is that statement based on what statistics do

00:08:16.060 you have where that's based on huh oh it's a white supremacist thing is it how do you figure sunshine

00:08:23.260 so he never gave me a rebuttal and then when i was going to type another answer to this individual

00:08:28.580 miraculously that statement of his was gone now i didn't delete it i didn't edit it it was taken off

00:08:35.680 the page so maybe his overseer or his brother or his father or his mother looked at that and uh give 0.99

00:08:41.900 him a cup upside the head for being such a stupid little shit it's not racist to want a gun folks we know 1.00

00:08:48.740 that it's not racist to promote gun ownership or not to promote gun ownership it's not racist to 1.00

00:08:56.120 disagree with somebody it's not racist to question authority it's not racist to question somebody in

00:09:03.280 the medical profession it's not racist and i'm getting so sick of that word being used all the time 0.56

00:09:09.200 to justify a disingenuine stance on something like it's so fucking pitiful and another few comments was 0.93

00:09:17.420 oh well we have gun laws in this country for a reason so you don't have to get high capacity 0.96

00:09:22.260 magazines well we know that legally speaking you cannot own a 30 round magazine with 30 rounds

00:09:29.740 you can have a 30 round magazine that's usually pinned or capped at five okay for those people

00:09:36.500 who don't understand the meaning of semi-auto okay you're allowed five rounds ladies and gentlemen

00:09:41.820 doesn't matter if you're an ar-15 doesn't matter have you a ruger doesn't matter what style you have 0.99

00:09:46.540 you're only allowed five rounds in the semi-automatic capacity okay pistols you're allowed 10 rounds

00:09:52.400 okay the only people that i know personally that have more than a 10 round capacity are police officers

00:10:00.740 and the military i know because i carried a sidearm overseas right we had more than 10 rounds in that

00:10:08.240 magazine you do the math okay so when people are worried about who owns guns in this country know the

00:10:15.440 facts okay the ccfr has a great website they've got tons of information there for you to follow

00:10:21.580 and it doesn't matter if you agree with guns or not they've got the information there no national

00:10:26.600 firearms association of canada has excellent information too so those individuals that are

00:10:31.640 using the nra and what happened in chicago or texas or other schools in the states is irrelevant

00:10:37.180 that's in america okay that's in the united states just because something bad happens uh to our

00:10:44.020 brothers and sisters down south doesn't mean that canada always has to follow suit

00:10:47.840 part of being an independent and sovereign nation is having the ability to stand our own two feet and 0.98

00:10:53.020 think for ourselves is it not is that right wing they're uh those fucking hippie boomers that gave 0.95

00:11:00.260 me a hard time is that right wing independence and freedom to choose independence and freedom to be 0.99

00:11:05.760 right i don't care if you own a gun or not i don't judge people based on what they own i judge

00:11:11.620 people based on their actions okay i judge people based on their actions and lack of them i judge people

00:11:19.980 on their lack of knowledge and the great amount of knowledge they will have okay but if you're going

00:11:26.700 to debate the gun issue with me you better get your facts together okay i'm open debate i'm open to

00:11:32.220 suggestion i can respect and appreciate other people's opinions when it comes to who can own a

00:11:37.060 gun in this country but to sit there and point a finger at me and then call me something and then

00:11:42.880 call me an american wannabe or a non-canadian when i fought for this nation totally disingenuine

00:11:49.060 and dishonest right another comment i got from a lady who called herself a christian and uh she was 1.00

00:11:57.300 quite adamant about throwing god into the complex and everything too so i listened to what she had

00:12:01.200 to say and then sitting there calling me a plebe and calling me a sheep and everything and uh i

00:12:06.660 basically said to her sister i'm the furthest thing from a sheep all right secondly i am the furthest 0.98

00:12:12.120 thing from anything remotely to an animal we are human beings are animals but i am not a fucking animal 0.98

00:12:20.080 because i enjoy shooting my pistols and i enjoy shooting my rifles and i enjoy hunting and i enjoy 0.95

00:12:28.280 fishing and i enjoy being outdoors all right that's how humans used to live prior to electricity

00:12:34.860 and plumbing and building a standard cabin as we knew it you know we're all descendants of tribes

00:12:42.020 one way or the other doesn't matter if it's celtic doesn't matter if it's african doesn't matter if it's

00:12:45.080 first nations it doesn't matter if it's eastern european northern european doesn't matter if it

00:12:49.500 was asia we're all descendants of the tribal aspect regardless ladies and gentlemen that's just human

00:12:54.340 history all right so put the race cards away put the fascism cards away there's nothing fascist

00:13:01.980 about wanting a gun and nothing fascist about defending yourself no one's saying we're gonna walk

00:13:06.880 around like hand solo with our blasters on our hips you know wait waiting to blow away any kind of

00:13:12.800 imperial troops we're talking about common sense here folks as i say again please let me know how

00:15:35.560 couple uh entrepreneurs very successful and they put together a great brand so try them out

00:15:40.420 anyway carrying on with the nova scotia issue um every news report has been saying many different 1.00

00:15:48.240 things we're seeing more clarity apparently this fucking culprit this piece of shit owned uh for 0.99

00:15:54.280 similar vehicles that he required from police auctions anyhow i'll leave links to the story uh 0.99

00:15:59.720 there in the description uh you decide but i'm tired of reading all this garbage in regards to

00:16:06.000 what this individual did we knew he was a psycho we knew he was in police radar we knew he did some

00:16:12.180 very bad things prior to uh april 18th and 19th respectively and uh i don't know is it our justice

00:16:19.900 system ladies and gentlemen that's failing bill blair wants to release prisoners in the name of

00:16:24.720 safety over the whole uh beer bug and uh our prime minister and party officials alike are all for it

00:16:33.720 so what's that tell you you know even in the news today there was a drunk driver who uh wants uh who

00:16:40.720 was getting day parole and he killed uh three small kids and an older gentleman drunk driving

00:16:46.780 so what's that tell you you know is that more the healing lodge aspect that they gave to the uh

00:16:51.880 the killer of tory stafford you know remember that case back in 2009 little girl that was bludgeoned

00:16:57.580 uh by a hammer and left for dead by uh a creeping woman and a creeping man okay and uh they found out

00:17:05.260 what last year two years ago that she was in a sweat lodge healing wow that's that's justice eh

00:17:10.300 yeah okay so food for thought you know give me a comment or two on youtube and podbean tell me what 0.98

00:17:17.280 you think it's it's turning into a real shit show folks anyway uh back to more of the uh bug back to 0.95

00:17:26.060 more of the beer bug there you know every day we're finding more and more people coming up with 0.99

00:17:30.740 conclusions and people getting frustrated from being uh secluded and being locked up in their

00:17:35.520 homes now it's not a big deal you know i've you've seen a lot of memes on social media in regards to

00:17:42.580 people that were actual prisoners uh who actually committed crimes and they're talking about well

00:17:47.160 you know living in a six by eight for three years is is uh worse than being confined to your house

00:17:54.060 granted but when you're in a six by eight you committed a crime you did a bad thing and we all know it

00:18:00.400 but uh to the canadian people and to american listeners and british listeners and european

00:18:06.040 listeners alike who are questioning the status quo questioning the authority on this what is going

00:18:11.620 on right they're talking about a vaccine and they're talking about pills and they spend more time

00:18:17.180 worrying about what trump is saying and what this guy is saying and oh my god it's racist to call 1.00

00:18:21.520 theresa tam out in her bullshit oh it's it's sexist to call patty haydew out in her bullshit 1.00

00:18:26.060 well then stop telling bullshit you won't be called out on it and it's not sexist to question 1.00

00:18:31.900 it it's not racist to question it i said that before numerous times here in the podcast you know 0.99

00:18:36.980 if a grown person goes out of his or her way to harm somebody because of the color of their skin

00:18:41.900 then therefore that action would be racist would it not be but if a grown-ass man or woman

00:18:46.820 questions the authority and the ability of another grown-ass man or woman 0.89

00:18:50.980 is that not critical thinking is that not being critical all right we're going to stop playing

00:18:59.500 on words and show some intestinal fortitude and get mad and ask the questions now where i work

00:19:05.980 there are a lot of people that are skeptical and they're not skeptical because it's trendy

00:19:11.020 they're skeptical because their educational background and because of what they deal with

00:19:14.980 on a daily basis and we've had lengthy conversations in regards to that in regards to uh what does the

00:19:22.280 government mean by doing this what does the government mean by doing that and as much as i hate to always

00:19:26.980 bring politics to the bar or to wherever we hang out or socialize we've got to ask these questions here

00:19:34.000 okay we already know that justin gave away so many medical supplies to china during this pandemic

00:19:41.060 and yet nothing left for canadians and then we see on tiktok i don't subscribe to that by the way

00:19:48.040 but we see a lot of nurses and doctors dancing i can see it being a morale thing by all means

00:19:53.720 but there's so much time to sit and dance and make videos and yet all these hospitals are apparently

00:20:01.780 overrun so we're here whether there be a few hospitals in ontario or a few here in alberta

00:20:06.640 or a few out everywhere else in the democratic world how come so many physicians and medical

00:20:14.500 practitioners and nurses and paramedics alike have time to dance and make videos

00:20:19.180 something to think about right i'm not questioning the integrity of our medical professionals not in

00:20:26.800 the slightest i have the utmost respect for them i have the utmost respect for members of the rcmp

00:20:33.620 i have the utmost respect for some of the leaders that i work with in the military

00:20:37.580 and some of the people i call friend today right but i can say it's the actions now i'm not judging

00:20:43.760 medical professionals on the actions of a few people that make a video nor am i judging the rcmp

00:20:48.640 based on the few actions of those in nova scotia that one failed to report or failed to say anything

00:20:54.260 or failed to get permission that's a different can of worms altogether i have to investigate that more

00:21:00.140 before i make any kind of conclusions on that but like i said i've played hockey and i i've worked 0.98

00:21:04.960 with rcmp officers and they're really straight up people you know their their integrity is fucking 0.83

00:21:10.840 fantastic their humanity is fantastic and they're well-seasoned professionals too and i highly doubt

00:21:17.680 they're going to knock on my door and ask me to see my guns that's just how we roll some of these

00:21:24.760 guys but uh a good friend of mine is also an opp officer too so you know when i see anything bad 0.94

00:21:32.180 happen to the police services it's got to be investigated you know and a handful of shitheads

00:21:38.040 isn't going to ruin or tarnish the integrity and the image uh of a noble service in this country

00:21:45.740 right they tried that with the airborne back in the 90s and i personally worked for people that were

00:21:52.520 in the airborne and they were nothing like the media meant to be they weren't racist they weren't 0.97

00:21:58.700 bigots they weren't tyrants they were switched on leaders they were fucking great soldiers tough as 0.99

00:22:04.200 fucking nails and they're the kind of people you never wanted to fucking mess with and i'm not just 1.00

00:22:08.920 saying for the sake of ego or you let you shoot your mouth off in a bar i'm talking the kind of people 0.99

00:22:15.240 that are willing to fucking get up and defend what is right in a fucking new york second 0.99

00:22:20.160 so that puts things in perspective too ladies and gentlemen the media has spun a lot of this shit 0.99

00:22:26.220 to a really nasty degree and it gets depressing you know my wife and i actually had a good 0.83

00:22:31.260 well i guess it was an argument i guess you'd say yeah you know there was no right or wrong it's just

00:22:38.080 we basically raised our voices and talked about how depressing it can be you turn on the local news

00:22:42.900 this is what's going on you turn on the national news this is what's going on you read any kind of

00:22:47.400 national article this is what goes on you know then you got people weighing in saying well this

00:22:51.520 news source is fake and that news source is fake and oh my god what's fake what's fake so people are 0.67

00:22:56.860 starting to be afraid to think for themselves well which brings me back to my next point in regards to

00:23:02.700 more of my hate mail an individual i oh god it was so funny as i read it oh i i more or less told him

00:23:11.280 uh when you look at independent media outlets they don't get paid all the big bucks they don't

00:23:16.420 uh they thrive on donations and they thrive on uh courtesies and people they've made friends with

00:23:24.500 throughout their years in journalism or media studies or whatever they've done and they get

00:23:29.800 this story out there to the best of their ability and i have to say most independent media that i've read

00:23:34.780 i.e the post-millennial rebel news uh daniel boardman and his incredible work uh adam danielman zay

00:23:42.800 frank p vaughn they take the time and they read and they research just like what we were taught in

00:23:48.780 school when it comes to writing essays or writing short stories you know research your characters

00:23:54.140 research this what's their background what they do blah blah blah do a character sketch but you're not

00:24:00.020 going to do a character sketch when you're actually writing an article on a situation you're going to

00:24:04.560 take the information you have and display it and get it out there to the best of your effing ability

00:24:09.660 okay that's one of the things i try to do too i'm just basically doing a point of view and i do

00:24:14.780 commentary that's it i'm not an investigative journalist i know where i ever said i was

00:24:20.800 but more and more people are getting into independent media because they're getting sick and tired of the 0.73

00:24:26.100 garbage you know they may disagree with trump but they're getting sick and tired of hearing about it 0.84

00:24:31.140 they may disagree with justin trudeau but they're getting sick and tired of hearing about it so they 0.94

00:24:34.440 want to see other points of view and hear other things and there's always a handful of people that

00:24:38.940 sit in their hands and going oh wait oh wait you can't do that that's fake that's fake well i've

00:24:44.800 actually met some members of rebel news and they're down to earth people i've met some members from

00:24:49.040 the post-millennial they're down to earth people i myself wrote a couple articles the post-millennial

00:24:53.300 when it was just starting out i'm thinking that was some kind of direction i might get into

00:24:58.440 and i'm better off being a commentator right now but uh i think you see my point ladies and gentlemen

00:25:04.040 it's not a point of uh sucking eggs or towing a line it's a point of thinking for yourself

00:25:09.460 but like i've said before and numerous times due diligence let's keep this in perspective here

00:25:15.220 right weather is getting better in some parts of the country

00:25:19.560 there are a lot of people out there that are questioning status quo and being skeptical

00:25:26.020 and rightfully so they should there's more and more people thinking about the gun issue in this

00:25:31.140 country is it really that bad i don't think it is personally right and if you're going to instill

00:25:37.260 fear in the canadian populace based on american statistics then maybe you as the leader and as

00:25:43.320 the encourager should go down and live in the states and see how they operate then you can have a

00:25:48.000 critical point of view okay but i'm also a firm believer in common sense it's too bad that our

00:25:54.480 leaders don't believe in common sense because they want to instill fear and control but they forget

00:26:00.020 that they're supposed to work for us the canadian taxpayer and as long as i'm alive i'm going to

00:26:07.800 question the authorita i'm going to question their authority i'm going to question their integrity

00:26:13.220 and i'm going to question their capability okay i for one i'm getting sick and tired of people that

00:26:20.520 haven't merited for anything get ahead and i don't care if you're male or female or have three arms or

00:26:26.460 three legs or identify as a pixie dust farmer i don't care i believe in meritocracy for a reason

00:26:33.120 meaning you do the time in said field then you should get promoted not just because you represent this

00:26:39.040 represent that you should have the smarts to do something and the ability to do something

00:26:43.800 that's how people get promoted keep your race cards and keep your sexist cards and misogynistic cards

00:26:50.260 away they're irrelevant i can tell you a lot of people my generation are getting sick of hearing

00:26:55.100 it too and some of the upcoming kids and gen z there are doing the exact same thing they're getting

00:27:00.780 sick of it they're going to question and they're going to ponder and they're going to make fun

00:27:04.240 and they're going to promote their free speech regardless of people say it's hate speech or not

00:27:09.780 and you take that statement and stick it where the sun don't shine as far as i'm concerned
