00:00:05.320 2026 coming up the christian podcast oh well a lot of revelations coming up

00:00:11.080 ladies and gentlemen that's right i had a heart attack yours truly had a

00:00:14.380 heart attack last week a little more details in the show

00:00:17.900 listener view discretion will be advised because i will

00:00:20.680 not smoke cigarettes i might drink a coffee but i will swear and condemn the

00:00:25.740 powers that be ladies and gentlemen all that and more coming up

00:00:29.860 Please stick around.

00:00:34.740 Hit it, sweetheart. 1.00

00:00:36.980 Because I am hard, you will not like me.

00:00:39.880 Yes, sir.

00:00:43.380 There is no racial bigotry here.

00:00:48.160 There you are always will be working.

00:00:52.240 From Western Canada, this is the Krusty Canuck podcast,

00:00:56.880 a Canadian veteran's point of view.

00:00:58.900 on political, social, economic issues, and life.

00:01:03.060 Here's Krusty.

00:01:06.580 That's right, ladies and gentlemen.

00:01:07.580 Welcome to episode 399 of the Krusty App Podcast.

00:01:10.840 Happy Easter out there to my Christian friends

00:01:12.460 and all that good stuff too.

00:01:14.280 But just like the title card says, everybody,

00:01:17.260 yours truly had a heart attack.

00:01:18.580 Hi, everybody.

00:01:19.200 Hope you're all doing well.

00:01:20.740 I'm doing a lot better now.

00:01:22.260 Just a reminder to you if you like and hear what you see,

00:01:23.960 click like, subscribe, share this podcast,

00:01:26.400 all of your social media platforms too,

00:01:27.660 a special thank you out there to my friend paul ontario host and operator of radio reaction he

00:01:33.420 did me quite a bit of a favor there today on his latest episode gave me a good plug a good tribute

00:01:38.220 thank you once again paul you are a great man and your wife is fantastic too thank you very much for

00:01:44.560 your dedication thank you out there for a lot of the people who have given me uh warm regards

00:01:51.000 when i posted on my page thank you very much so i'm not gonna beat around the bush here ladies

00:01:59.280 and gentlemen um i had a heart attack last sunday a week ago i was sitting up around 10 o'clock

00:02:06.840 and i was just having a cup of coffee chilling my wife and i was gonna go to bed a decent time

00:02:12.980 because like i said i lost my job like i got laid off and then i got called back to work for two

00:02:18.020 days right and the loss wanted me to stick around for their six weeks because there was more cattle

00:02:22.420 to feed what have you i just got my truck replaced back on the road again so things were working out

00:02:29.520 and then i was getting these sharp pains in my thumbs i was getting some really really sharp

00:02:34.720 pains in my thumbs what the hell is going on here right because i've had a brief issue with my

00:02:40.460 cardiovascular before regardless of my cigarette smoking or not i did have some issues back when i

00:02:46.560 was 40 41 uh just prior to my diagnosis of ptsd and a lot of things were not working out in my

00:02:55.940 favor to make a long story short i tried to go to bed and i couldn't so i take a couple advil and

00:03:02.700 it didn't really subside the pain and i was feeling a lot of pressure it was almost like

00:03:07.080 my chest my back were in a vice and someone was pushing both ends of it and it got to the point

00:03:13.540 was getting sharp pains up my elbows my shoulder and my teeth my teeth were starting to hurt of

00:03:18.000 all things right um reason i'm kind of talking right now is because i have a nicotine replacement

00:03:22.960 in my mouth here it's those xanax i bought a pack of those and they made a world difference

00:03:27.720 but before i carry on with my gospel this episode ladies and gentlemen

00:03:32.320 um a lot of things have come to surface okay now i've had a brief encounter with death

00:03:43.380 before overseas, being shot at, seeing things, doing things, and a brief, I guess you can say

00:03:52.280 a pondulation, a brainstorm prior to my diagnosis of PTSD and how I was going to call it quits

00:04:00.960 myself. Now, I'm not trying to glorify anything of the sort, but when they took me to the hospital

00:04:09.280 Sunday night and I thank my wife for this by the way my wife was there to back me the hell up the 0.98

00:04:15.240 whole time and it wasn't for her I don't know I wasn't feeling good and I was diagnosed I had a

00:04:24.260 blockage and they fixed it and all that too but it needed a few days in Sturgeon Medical Center

00:04:32.640 in st obert to get me sorted out so a better diet uh nicorette lots of water um lots of probing

00:04:41.340 lots of fixing and just a better diet and just a better wake up call to say to say the least

00:04:47.340 ladies and gentlemen we're not immortal we gotta remind ourselves that once in a while too that we

00:04:51.580 are not immortal by any means are we uh you know are we partial uh to to life's little mysteries

00:05:02.960 and that includes heart and that includes your brain includes your blood everything

00:05:06.580 and i'm 52 years old and i should have quit the habit a long time ago but of course you know

00:05:14.400 being cocky being a man whatever lame excuse we keep giving ourselves i kept on puffing away

00:05:21.560 way i was doing about a pack and a half a day or more and um since i got home on wednesday

00:05:29.520 you know i'm taking it easy i'm not supposed to work for the next month so if you do want to

00:05:35.280 donate ladies gentlemen please every little bit will help me if you can you know you don't have

00:05:39.040 to but if you can find it with yourself to donate to help my income along that'd be great but uh

00:05:46.320 a lot of things come to surface a lot of ugly truths that i should have realized a long time

00:05:52.200 ago a lot of things i should have done a lot of things i should have kept in check because at one

00:05:59.000 time in my career i was playing hockey lacrosse soccer and i was coaching lacrosse and soccer

00:06:05.200 and i was very fit um i was managing to bench at least 260 i did that four times i pushed up 260

00:06:13.160 pounds and i was quite pleased with myself at the time but that doesn't pay the bills that doesn't

00:06:17.680 keep things going that's just a bragging right you give yourself after you've done it and at one time

00:06:22.780 i used to run uh 5k under 25 minutes so that was good for me that was my personal goal and i

00:06:28.020 maintained it for a long time but i'm not going to sit here and tell people quit the cigarettes

00:06:38.720 quit the booze do what you got to do that makes you happy okay but don't put your happiness before

00:06:45.900 your families or your husbands or your your wife or your girlfriend or your boyfriend

00:06:51.360 you got to work together in those things and my wife she's a smoker too she sure as hell didn't 1.00

00:06:58.420 smoke as much as i did but uh no she's con contemplating it too um she was there and she 0.97

00:07:06.480 could and she was very supportive and this past week she's been nothing but supportive nothing but

00:07:11.460 but there for me and it's been very very warm and loving and a lot of revelations have come

00:07:20.860 to surface because of this so i'm still here ladies and gentlemen so everyone who has backed

00:07:25.820 me up since the heart attack thank you and i'm grateful and for those who are just finding out

00:07:33.140 right now um yeah it was brief didn't have to cut me open like they cut my chest open or anything

00:07:39.280 like that but from what they saw and what they gathered through my blood and my heartbeats and

00:07:45.920 my rhythm and all that good stuff yeah it's time to quit the butts and i haven't had a smoke in

00:07:51.340 in a week it's still there the urge is still there but i know for a fact that if i have one

00:07:58.400 if i have one it's gonna

00:08:02.620 it's just gonna linger and stick around and i'm just gonna have more and more and more

00:08:11.020 and then i'll end up smoking again and then what

00:08:13.300 yeah sorry a little interruption there ladies and gentlemen but uh i don't want to keep dwelling on

00:08:21.000 it you know i'm guilty of smoking all the cigarettes and it almost cost me my life

00:08:25.040 um so i will not be doing that for a while ever again i think now um i barely drink too so alcohol

00:08:35.840 has never been a problem it was going to be a problem back at one time but i curbed that pretty

00:08:40.200 quick but now i quit the cigarettes so and um if you're not sure about what's happening right now

00:08:49.660 in your life um just keep in mind that you should quit i'm not going to tell you to quit

00:08:58.580 or not to quit that's up to you as an individual i respect individuals decisions and their rights

00:09:04.020 to pursue and believe what they want however um it's worth it especially you got a wife at home 0.98

00:09:14.360 you got kids at home you got a loved one you know and considering how much it costs right now too

00:09:19.540 like you're looking at where I live, just under 20 bucks a pack.

00:09:24.980 And that's, that's quite a bit to spend,

00:09:27.720 especially in these economic times.

00:09:29.660 And of course the government gets at least two thirds of it.

00:09:32.520 So it's, it's not a good thing, right?

00:09:36.980 It's not a good thing at all.

00:09:40.500 Right back after this, ladies and gentlemen.

00:09:54.260 and we're back ladies and gentlemen to episode 399 i had a close call yes waking up bad television

00:10:05.400 and more ndp woke bs ladies and gentlemen so i'm not going to dwell on the heart attack issue

00:10:09.920 anymore um i'm not because it's my burden to carry my responsibility i own it and i'm going to deal

00:10:18.400 with it that's my ability just a reminder too if you like and hear you see click like subscribe

00:10:22.720 share this podcast all your social media platforms ladies and gentlemen do not be shy uh if you're

00:10:27.320 watching this anywhere in the world i don't care where you're watching this or listening this in

00:10:30.380 the world let me know where you're writing from or let me know where you're listening from i'm

00:10:33.540 seeing my pod bean stats and i'm seeing quite a few europeans uh downloading my show so thank you

00:10:37.900 very much to europe thank you france and spain and italy uh netherlands have downloaded a few

00:10:44.540 episodes i'm seeing a lot of uh germans actually watch my show so danke shame my german friends

00:10:52.160 and uh i'll do my best to keep more episodes up in a timely manner too like i said a big wake-up

00:10:59.160 call big wake-up call coming here anyway so like the title i said about bad television now i've

00:11:06.760 been hearing a lot of rumblings i haven't prepped any videos or anything um for for this particular

00:11:12.800 episode i just wanted to get this off my chest in regards to my filthy disgusting habit that

00:11:17.480 almost killed me but uh every time i turn on the tube they're always talking about the new star

00:11:24.320 Trek show, Starfleet Academy. Now, I actually try to watch a good 10 minutes of it.

00:11:38.380 Sorry about that. I had a little microphone issue here. I'm going to go along with the critics and

00:11:44.280 agree with most of them. You know, Nerdtronic, critical drinker. It's garbage. It's garbage

00:11:50.340 trek as far as i'm concerned and regards to how you personally feel about woke isms and how you

00:11:55.060 personally feel about uh diversity and all this too trek always always had the diversity star

00:12:00.700 trek always had its diverse issues and they dealt with them very well all the way from the original

00:12:07.220 series to the animated series to the motion pictures to the next generation to ds9 to voyager

00:12:14.080 even enterprise and even strange new worlds had its issues too i don't mind strange new worlds

00:12:20.800 but i wasn't a big fan of discovery because i think they try too hard to push the agenda

00:12:26.080 and every other trick thereafter they pushed agendas now i want to watch a good tv show

00:12:32.360 the idea is to escape from the mundane escape from your lives not saying put everything down

00:12:39.940 for one tv show or quit doing something for a tv show i mean just to escape just to be entertained

00:12:46.460 kind of like what we had in the 80s right when miami vice was on the air people left

00:12:51.080 their lives for an hour on a friday night to watch a good cop show

00:12:55.320 or you know saturday morning kids cartoons that kind of thing right we all remember that

00:13:02.160 but in the same sense you know um well it's i'm just not impressed with a lot of television right

00:13:11.580 now now my wife and i we've been binge watching uh some of the netflix stuff there too um luckily

00:13:18.000 we could afford the crave channel so they got some pretty good horror movies on there too and

00:13:21.600 we look for shows to watch personally i'm a big fan now of a lot of the taylor sheridan stuff i

00:13:27.320 I like Yellowstone.

00:13:28.980 I like Madison.

00:13:30.240 I thought that Madison was an excellent drama.

00:13:33.160 Really, really well-written.

00:13:34.360 And I think Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell did a fantastic job

00:13:38.120 playing the patriarch and matriarch of this well-to-do family

00:13:42.580 and the revelation of loss

00:13:44.760 and the adjustment that the whole family has to do

00:13:48.800 because the father laid it out for him in a few ways.

00:13:54.660 So I highly suggest you watch that.

00:13:56.200 But when I look at my beloved Trek, when I look at the science fiction that I grew up with and grew to love and grew to embrace, it's almost like the people that are in charge of these franchises are intentionally trying to screw with our heroes. 0.99

00:14:10.280 I'm getting sick of that shit. 0.99

00:14:12.920 Right? 1.00

00:14:13.860 We need originality.

00:14:14.960 Now, I've said before, I'm an aspiring screenwriter.

00:14:18.180 so with this time off that i have my revelations and my brush with death

00:14:25.600 i intend to write some more i have a series in the works that a few people in my circle know about

00:14:32.820 i have some science fiction ideas in the works too i have some story outlines laid out i just

00:14:39.280 got to sit and type it with my software so hopefully in the near future i will get some

00:14:45.020 recognition for that as well as not just the podcast ladies and gentlemen but if we're going

00:14:52.820 to want to watch good television we're going to need regular people to write it and create it

00:14:56.780 right because i'm finding the entertainment industry as much like politics it's a bureaucracy

00:15:01.660 and there's 10 people who do minimal work and they demand to get paid and there's like 20 people who

00:15:08.100 say this and say that and they want the big bucks we actually got the writer and the director that 0.71

00:15:13.920 put this shit together to put together a great story for you right and my overall goal with my 0.94

00:15:23.220 writing is to do that for you people people who want to watch a good drama or people want to watch 0.99

00:15:28.760 good science fiction or people want to see a good fucking old-fashioned creature feature right or 0.79

00:15:35.000 something off the wall or a short film we got to get rid of these agendas okay and this whole idea 0.98

00:15:42.340 everything has to be represented a certain way is bullshit you've got to be true to the story 0.60

00:15:47.880 in the source material like every gifted writer that i've met throughout the years has said right 0.96

00:15:54.700 what you know okay don't write something you know and then be told later on oh we need to represent

00:16:01.520 this you represent that no you represent your story you put the art out there and let the world

00:16:08.320 this side right and unfortunately the corporate models that we're dealt with today a lot of the

00:16:15.980 bigger studios and the bigger channels are still hanging on to the woke bs and for what

00:16:22.480 for what extra money you see what they did the snow white terrible right you see what they did

00:16:29.480 some of our favorite shows the reboots and the redos you know they want to make remake highlander

00:16:37.300 and apparently that's in the works.

00:16:39.280 I think Henry Cavill will do a great job

00:16:40.880 as Colin McLeod,

00:16:42.080 but we'll see how it turns out, right?

00:16:45.100 We'll have to wait and see.

00:16:47.060 In the meantime, be true to yourself

00:16:48.620 and be entertained based on your standards,

00:16:50.920 not on the standards that these studios would say.

00:16:54.960 Be right back.

00:17:11.140 And you're back, ladies and gentlemen, to episode 399.

00:17:14.660 I had a close call, that's right.

00:17:16.720 Krusty Kanuck had a heart attack, that's right.

00:17:19.060 I'm your host, Krusty Kanuck, ladies and gentlemen.

00:17:20.620 Just a reminder too, if you like and hear what you see, click like, subscribe,

00:17:26.540 Do not be shy, ladies and gentlemen.

00:17:27.860 And let me know where you're writing from too,

00:17:29.400 whether you see this on the Tube, on the Rumble,

00:17:31.300 anywhere you hear this podcast.

00:17:32.840 give me a comment let me know where you're listening from i want to get a better idea too

00:17:37.900 rather than just some of the stance i get um if you feel like donating please donate um i could

00:17:43.220 use the help right i'm not going to beg for it but if you can find you know in your heart if i

00:17:49.100 get 20 is 30 is 40 is 50 is if i've got 100 my viewers who can maybe donate five dollars or

00:17:55.720 something that would be really great i'd really appreciate thank you but uh in the meantime i'll

00:18:00.500 with this episode so the ndp um nominated avi lewis now i remember him from city tv and cbc

00:18:07.620 he was a broadcaster uh journalist did some documentary stuff there when he was with city tv

00:18:14.180 back in the day his old man was quite the human rights advocate uh quite the ndp leader himself

00:18:21.460 um but his old man was cut from a different cloth okay now avi lewis he likes to promote

00:18:29.380 the whole fact of more public interest when it comes to grocery stores and our way of life so

00:18:36.080 basically he's a i guess you can say a champagne socialist he's never had to fight for anything in

00:18:41.860 his life he's never understood poverty he's never understood real turmoil he wants to publicize

00:18:49.460 everything at the government expense which is more or less our expense now they also if you

00:18:55.200 a look online you can see what they had at the ndp convention there when it comes to points of

00:19:00.180 privilege and cards and feelings and who identifies as what and i'm thinking it doesn't matter where

00:19:08.080 you sit in the political spectrum you are supposed to be there in a parliamentary democracy

00:19:14.120 i'm a parliamentary democracy uh constitutional monarchy you still represent your riding and if

00:19:21.500 you're at these meetings and you're holding up a card of privilege because you represent a certain

00:19:26.180 group you're not representing your riding you're representing your ideology which is lethal okay

00:19:32.840 can we not have parties in this country that represent writings as they should rather than

00:19:39.120 ideologies okay i just i'm not going to download it for you ladies and gentlemen i'm not going to 0.98

00:19:48.000 tell you to suck eggs here, okay? But every time we turn around, there's always a handful of 0.92

00:19:53.340 politicians and groups, tribes, I guess you can call them, that have to represent the ideology

00:19:59.040 of things, the identities of things, and the pronouns, and what they go by, and how they

00:20:03.340 identify. Oh, get over it, right? And if anybody out there who wants to support the national NDP

00:20:14.360 and agrees with what they saw when it come to the convention

00:20:18.220 and how people handled their business,

00:20:20.740 please engage with me in a good conversation.

00:20:23.720 Please engage with me in a good debate.

00:20:26.200 I would like to know, okay?

00:20:29.220 I would really like to know how you really feel about things.

00:20:35.160 If you represent a certain writing and you spend more time

00:20:37.760 at these meetings worrying about how you're addressed,

00:20:40.260 are you really, really cut for the job? 0.96

00:20:42.180 hmm that's my logic i remember when the ndp actually had some balls you know you had males 1.00

00:20:49.540 and females no one cared about who was gay no one cared about who was black no one cared about who 0.99

00:20:54.900 was asian people cared about standing up to the scruples and the morals of what the party promoted 1.00

00:21:01.180 okay they stood up for blue collar people they stood up for working class people

00:21:04.980 can you find that now in today's ndp can you

00:21:09.520 i don't think so because they want to make everything public they want government-run

00:21:20.720 grocery stores how'd that work in russia back in the day how'd that work in north korea

00:21:28.340 how has that worked in any socialist country that we can speak of right now 0.66

00:21:33.840 venezuela cuba not too fucking likely and considering this country is in debt to the 0.94

00:21:42.580 wahoo do you really think the ndp has got what it takes to run a grocery store no of course not 0.94

00:21:49.080 but i'll just leave it that ladies and gentlemen and yeah i am not going to beat a dead horse 0.79

00:21:53.260 with this crap anymore i just want to let you my wonderful audience know what was going on
