00:00:58.280
Just like you said, and I've seen it myself, it still surprises me.
00:01:03.320
And it catches my attention every single time at 3 o'clock in the morning when I see a young
00:01:06.920
couple just walking through the park in the middle of the night.
00:01:12.840
Because you're going to get mugged, shot, or robbed.
00:01:15.520
And it's going to take the police on average 20 minutes to show up if they even bother showing up.
00:01:25.240
He's going to discuss the National Guard deployment in D.C.
00:01:36.760
Well, do you want to tell the people who you are and what you do?
00:01:38.580
I'm sure everyone knows, but for the one or two people that don't know.
00:01:43.380
I'm an independent journalist here in Washington, D.C.
00:01:46.220
And honestly, I've never been prouder to say that I live in Washington, D.C.
00:01:55.480
Well, we're seeing – I read your clip of Trump earlier where the reporter was trying to browbeat him.
00:02:02.020
And he was saying, no, this is actually popular.
00:02:06.740
I mean, what are you seeing on the ground when you're talking to D.C. residents?
00:02:09.160
I mean, what's kind of the atmosphere right now?
00:02:11.140
Look, I mean, you're seeing the local media outlets are attempting to spin this as some sort of draconian takeover of martial law in the streets.
00:02:27.020
I mean, the mainstream media, the local stations are all just trying to terrify everybody because they profit in sowing division, really.
00:02:37.260
And none of that – none of what they're saying is actually happening.
00:02:40.660
And nobody is getting beaten by National Guard in the street, although I'd argue that some people here deserve to be beat by National Guard in the street.
00:02:49.320
But what they're actually doing is they're – National Guard is stepping in to deter, and the federal agents are here to assist police officers in fighting everyday crime because that's been a huge issue here for years.
00:03:05.260
You know, D.C. police on their own because of the woke mayor and the chief of police who was previously the chief of DEI at the department that didn't know what chain of command meant when she was doing a press conference the other day.
00:03:18.340
You know, they weren't allowing cops to be cops.
00:03:20.560
So Trump took them over and put – there's a massive infusion of new cops on the ground here, and it's a totally different city.
00:03:28.100
I mean, I've been in D.C. this last week, and you see it, like especially in the Capitol Mall.
00:03:32.500
Like you just see the Humvees just parked up on the grass.
00:03:35.060
And it's like typically that's an ominous sign.
00:03:38.780
It's actually kind of liberating and freeing because D.C. is so – it felt so unstable and hostile previously.
00:03:44.520
And the funny thing is the press is saying this is going to scare away tourists.
00:03:48.480
This is going to, you know, freak everyone out.
00:03:50.440
And the people that are taking pictures of the Humvees are like clearly tourists.
00:03:58.020
And, yeah, and the locals, I mean, there does seem to be a bit of relief.
00:04:01.140
You're seeing more people like jogging at night and these sorts of things, which in a first-world country should be a standard.
00:04:07.600
I mean, have you heard much from the police themselves?
00:04:12.520
I've been around pretty much every single night.
00:04:15.920
Like last night, I was out until like 3 o'clock in the morning, you know, and I've been just kind of shadowing them to see what they've been doing, how they've been operating.
00:04:25.260
And I've gotten to know a lot of them actually.
00:04:29.980
I mean, it's – I was actually – I don't know if surprised was the word.
00:04:35.200
Like, let's say pleasantly surprised to hear how supportive MPD, Metropolitan Police, were to have feds with them because they're feeling effective again.
00:04:48.960
They're being allowed – cops are now allowed to be cops in Washington, D.C.
00:04:56.040
Like, I've spoken to these guys, dozens of them, and it's the same thing.
00:05:03.120
They're happier with it than I expected them to be.
00:05:05.760
And that's a pretty incredible feeling as a resident here.
00:05:12.380
It's nice to see that – I mean, because the big balls thing was really just shocking.
00:05:16.980
And it does feel like in a lot of ways that that was what galvanized Trump to make this move.
00:05:21.800
Yeah, but that was a normal thing in Washington, D.C. before.
00:05:25.080
Like, carjackings – even in – I live in a pretty nice neighborhood.
00:05:29.580
I'm like two blocks from the U.S. Capitol building.
00:05:32.360
You can see it outside of my window right here.
00:05:34.200
And right here on the streets, you have members of Congress that live in this same building.
00:05:39.920
And they were having their cars stolen and carjacked out front.
00:05:44.500
You know, like Uber drivers would come and pick people up.
00:05:47.040
But you had teenagers that were just calling Ubers, right?
00:05:49.960
And they'd get into the back of the Uber, and they'd steal the car.
00:05:52.160
So there's a bunch of Uber no-go zones here, or at least there were before this crackdown,
00:05:59.320
That's what they were trying to do to big balls.
00:06:01.980
And he fought back, and they almost killed him for it.
00:06:08.060
And so it's like – it feels like in a lot of ways the situation with crime in these cities,
00:06:14.120
especially Washington, D.C., specifically Washington, D.C., it feels like –
00:06:18.980
okay, obviously there's all these explanations for why the DAs and everything.
00:06:22.620
But most of all, it just feels like there's an attempt to demoralize patriots,
00:06:26.040
to demoralize Americans by having their capital in such disarray.
00:06:29.860
I mean, have you seen the mood improve among – even the D.C. residents that will probably say give some lip service,
00:06:37.480
like, oh, you know, this is inappropriate or whatever.
00:06:41.420
It seems like everyone's moods have just elevated a bit, even with the extra presence.
00:06:45.360
Yeah, so the actual residents here, unless you're a Democrat staffer on the Hill, for the most part,
00:06:55.840
If you're – if me, I'm going out just as an individual talking to neighbors, they all feel the same way.
00:07:02.140
I have not spoken to anybody one-on-one at this point that didn't try to throw a camera in my face
00:07:08.460
that is against what's going on out here because it's the same people every time.
00:07:16.900
Or they're Democrat activists that are being shipped in here to, like, yell and heckle National Guard troops and such.
00:07:25.660
It was one guy – this was a guy that wasn't even from here.
00:07:32.880
This guy in a Mets jersey, you know, so obviously he's not from here.
00:07:36.260
He even admitted he wasn't from here when I could run to him.
00:07:38.220
And he's obviously unstable if he's wearing a Mets jersey.
00:07:45.700
He's like, thanks for protecting us from nothing.
00:07:49.940
So now I've got to go follow this dude and get him on camera.
00:07:54.320
But, you know, these people, for whatever reason, they're having a tough time understanding
00:07:58.440
that the reason that there isn't any crime happening in the area is because of the National Guard.
00:08:11.280
Who the hell is going to, you know, mug you in the middle of 16 National Guard troops?
00:08:17.580
Is there a lot of data now that's – have we seen – I mean, I imagine anecdotally, obviously,
00:08:23.640
But have we seen what the actual decline in crime has looked like over the last week or two?
00:08:28.880
Yeah, I mean, it's been incredibly significant.
00:08:32.900
And we haven't seen a murderer in 11 days, which, as Trump keeps pointing out, like,
00:08:38.220
you haven't – you shouldn't have to brag about that.
00:08:44.980
And we're saying, oh, guys, you know, we made it 11 days.
00:08:47.960
But that's a huge achievement in Washington, D.C.
00:08:52.200
And we don't even actually know what the crime stats were before because they were being

BetMGM operates pursuant to an operating agreement with iGaming Ontario.
00:09:59.880
The city themselves, once they knew that the federal government was going to start looking into it,
00:10:05.620
they took one of their top brasses and put them on leave because they were manipulating crime stats.
00:10:18.620
Yeah, it was a D.C. police commander and he was fudging the numbers.
00:10:22.520
And a lot of people have suspected that for a long time.
00:10:26.480
I mean, because there was this thing where they were like, okay, all violent crime is down except for murders.
00:10:32.300
And you sit there and you're like, and a lot of policing experts said the same thing as they say,
00:10:36.700
well, that's because you can't really cover up a murder like when you're publishing these violent crime stats.
00:10:42.420
Everything else you can kind of reclassify or make go away.
00:10:46.780
Because they were taking, for example, they were taking like home invasions and downgrading them to trespass.
00:10:57.080
Those two things, just trespassing is if you cross a fence line that you're not supposed to cross.
00:11:04.200
Or you refuse to leave Macy's when they try to kick you out.
00:11:08.760
Not breaking somebody's window and robbing them at gunpoint in their house.
00:11:12.560
That's like saying, you know, John Bolton just received a quick chat at the door the other day.
00:11:19.440
So we're seeing, now we're seeing, you know, to kind of expand this conversation.
00:11:23.700
We saw this morning, Trump saying that Chicago and New York are potentially on the menu.
00:11:31.620
I mean, that seems like an extremely pressing case.
00:11:33.480
I mean, do you think this model, I mean, because obviously it involves the federalization.
00:11:39.720
Do you think this model, from what you've seen, could be expanded to other cities?
00:11:51.620
So look, just to put it in simple terms here, Washington, D.C. is a federal district under the ultimate control of the federal government.
00:12:02.280
So what you're actually seeing is decades ago, Congress actually gave, they formed a local government called the D.C. Home Rule Act and gave them, like, limited powers to enforce their own laws and gave them a little bit of autonomy.
00:12:24.980
So he actually had Pam Bondi deputize hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of Secret Service agents and U.S. Marshals, and actually not U.S. Marshals, they're already deputized, and DEA agents, you name it, the alphabet soup.
00:12:41.300
So they can do more than just enforce federal laws.
00:12:49.020
It would have to take what you could do, and I haven't looked into this yet.
00:13:01.240
But theoretically, that sheriff could deputize federal agents, and then you could see the same thing happening on the streets of Chicago that are happening here in Washington, D.C.
00:13:12.460
National Guard, even here in D.C., is not performing law enforcement duties.
00:13:17.400
They typically, like, you have to do something really egregious for them to step in.
00:13:20.860
So they wouldn't be doing that in Chicago either.
00:13:24.980
I mean, and I've seen a lot of – I mean, there's been chatter in the Trump admin that a big motivation for this is also to make ICE's job easier because they're receiving so much pushback from these municipal governments.
00:13:39.820
I mean, I guess Chicago and New York we'd have to see.
00:13:45.700
Are they a bit more efficient with the National Guard?
00:13:50.820
I mean, they are – it's not even just ICE working here at this point.
00:13:55.020
It's all of the – again, the alphabet soup folks that have been deputized there for – they're doing immigration enforcement as well.
00:14:06.640
Contrary to popular belief, they're not pulling you over for not using your turn signal.
00:14:10.540
They're pulling you over because they ran your plate and you have a warrant or you're an illegal.
00:14:14.140
And so they're pulling – that's why they're pulling people over.
00:14:17.660
It's not like – you don't have to worry about – hell, I mean, I'll just admit it here on camera.
00:14:21.860
When I'm, like, looking for them, you know, I'm turning right on red where I'm not supposed to, not using turn signals, whatever.
00:14:32.460
They're not looking to terrorize people that are just living their lives.
00:14:38.520
But you have seen a lot of videos of them pulling these people over, pulling them out of vehicles and arresting them because they're illegals and turning them over to ICE.
00:14:49.220
They pulled over somebody near the National Mall.
00:14:51.000
Of course, the liberal media was like, he's just a hardworking man and a father.
00:14:55.660
Two hours later, it comes out that he's actually a child rapist who's illegally in the country.
00:15:01.340
So, yeah, immigration enforcement here is through the roof, and I'm kind of excited to see those numbers.
00:15:06.520
Hopefully, we'll have them by the end of the week here.
00:15:09.520
Well, and if you've taken an Uber in D.C., you know how much work they have to do.
00:15:15.200
Maybe we'll see HHS deploy agents to raid McDonald's across D.C. and replace the seed oils with tallow.
00:15:22.400
We're going to make this a shining city on a hill is what it's going to be.
00:15:30.120
Like I think this could – we could really evolve this operation here.
00:15:34.440
But, yeah, I mean the criminality is just so – it really was just embarrassing I think most of all.
00:15:40.480
Specifically D.C. and New York because, you know, I mean I know like we're America.
00:15:44.820
We're not – you know, we're kind of focused on our business.
00:15:47.440
But there is a degree of embarrassment when someone visits from another country and they see our cities like D.C. and New York and the state they are because they're coming.
00:15:55.980
They've seen these cities in the movies and they're painted so, you know, magically, right?
00:16:02.140
But – and they come here and they have these stories of like getting robbed or like just seeing – like little stuff like open defecation of the homeless and everything.
00:16:15.680
Have any foreign tourists had anything to say about this?
00:16:20.460
Not necessarily foreign tourists that I've spoken with but like to your point, you would go to the White House, for example.
00:16:29.360
And I don't know if you're familiar with the – off of the North Lawn, there's a park.
00:16:35.700
And it's full of homeless people or was full of homeless people all the time, which is just wild.
00:16:40.740
I mean it's federal property in front of the White House and Biden let them build a freaking homeless and camp.
00:16:47.060
Yeah, it looked like Coachella in Lafayette Park.
00:16:51.440
And then you go near the State Department where you have foreign dignitaries and stuff going there.
00:16:56.520
And I mean that was actually one of the largest homeless encampments was 100 feet from the State Department building.
00:17:03.640
I mean – and this was just allowed to happen forever.
00:17:09.280
They were literally sending in bulldozers to – if you didn't – they were giving you like 20 minutes.
00:17:15.100
Just clean up your shit and get out or we're going to arrest you and we're going to bulldoze your camp.
00:17:23.960
Yeah, the homeless – I mean when I was there this week, I still did see a few tents.
00:17:31.100
I mean the parks you can actually go to again, which is quite nice.
00:17:34.280
Yeah, you still see like on some overpasses or whatever, you would see like a tent every once in a while.
00:17:39.500
Where are they – where are the homeless going?
00:17:46.180
I mean look, they can have – they can go over to probably Baltimore.
00:17:52.620
I'll help pay for buses to send them all to Baltimore.

00:18:54.980
Certain cities in the United States shitholes will send all the vagrants there.
00:18:59.420
And, you know, we'll just quarantine them, cage them in, and that'll be it.
00:19:03.280
I'm willing to sacrifice Baltimore for that purpose.
00:19:07.040
I'm sorry for all the people from Baltimore listening right now.
00:19:13.180
And then it's, yeah, it's like an Alcatraz for the homeless, I guess.
00:19:20.980
There's one, the rats would eat through the tents right away.
00:19:32.560
And then two, I mean, I don't know if you saw today, Kilmer got arrested in Baltimore.
00:19:35.900
So it looks like even Baltimore is being considered for a renewal project.
00:19:41.720
I think there is this sense in the Trump admin that we're tired of conceding territory.
00:19:46.660
Because, you know, you see with Zoron, the rhetoric around Zoron as they're saying, well,
00:19:55.040
And the Trump admin, their messaging has been much more consistent.
00:19:57.860
And so every square mile of this country belongs to American patriots.
00:20:01.700
And we shouldn't have to tolerate this, you know, insanity that's going on.
00:20:06.680
And that certainly seems to be the case in D.C.
00:20:09.480
I mean, what are your kind of thoughts on this?
00:20:14.140
Is trying to make the entire country kind of come to heel in some sense?
00:20:19.120
And, you know, in all seriousness, I do think that we should be sending National Guard into
00:20:25.900
Use them for, like, taking our country back, taking every single street back.
00:20:34.560
Because even in places like Baltimore, you have patriots that live there, right?
00:20:38.660
You have good law-abiding people that are being forced to suffer at the hands of these
00:20:43.640
violent criminals because Democrat politicians, you know, use them as power plays, right?
00:20:52.140
Use them to, you know, they buy their votes off of them and stuff.
00:20:55.880
And so they, look, it's not, people want to say, oh, well, this is dictatorial or it's
00:21:06.900
It's actually fighting crime and, you know, just enforcing the laws that are on the books.
00:21:16.380
But we have to go back to actually enforcing these laws and taking these cities back.
00:21:20.100
There's no reason that good people in Baltimore should have to suffer at the hands of violent
00:21:29.380
And Trump is, I've said this from the beginning, D.C. is really supposed to be an example set
00:21:34.860
for the rest of the country because Trump has now taken what was an 80-20 issue.
00:21:39.620
You know, people, 80% of the country wants to live in, you know, in a safe city, right?
00:21:45.840
The other 20% are mentally retarded or something, I guess.
00:21:56.120
We're going to get closer and closer to the midterms.
00:21:58.400
President Trump is going to continue with this pressure on these Democrats, Gavin Newsom
00:22:06.780
No, this argument that, oh, our cities are, they are safe.
00:22:12.540
Come take a walk with me through, you know, the ghetto.
00:22:16.440
I mean, we'll have, we'll have 50 security guards and police officers with us, but trust
00:22:22.480
That's what Westmore was offering to Donald Trump.
00:22:31.960
So, yeah, I think, I think it's going to be, like I said, I think it's, it's going to
00:22:35.760
be an example that President Trump is going to set and he's going to back these Democrats
00:22:39.120
They're going to keep supporting violent criminals and America sees that.
00:22:44.000
I mean, and, and the same thing where they're going to bat for these Kilmer or Abrego types
00:22:52.700
Like you said, DC is going to be an example and it can be a preview of, I mean, what we're going
00:22:57.960
If anything, it's going to be much more extensive.
00:22:59.220
And like another thing, and I think Trump's probably taken a page or at least, you know,
00:23:03.600
noted what's going on in El Salvador with Bukele, where Bukele kind of just, he kind
00:23:09.140
of revealed the big, the big gambit that's going on here, which is crime in 2025 is optional.
00:23:14.400
Like with the amount of resources that these, these police departments have and what the
00:23:18.780
intel that we have and what we know about human behavior, broadly speaking, is that
00:23:32.280
And the next thing you know, El Salvador is the safest country in the Western hemisphere.
00:23:39.140
I mean, surely we could apply if a country like El Salvador can figure it out.
00:23:45.040
I mean, why, why can't we do this in Baltimore?
00:23:55.120
And you just have to enforce the laws that are on the books.
00:23:57.420
And stop letting people out immediately as you bring them in.
00:24:01.220
The cashless bail system is, is just, is absurd.
00:24:04.800
And President Trump has a great point with that, that that's when the big crime really
00:24:08.220
started happening in recent decades is when, uh, when cashless bail started, because it's
00:24:14.640
Well, yeah, you, you, you, you, you might've, you murdered somebody.
00:24:19.440
Come back in a year and you're never going to see them again.
00:24:23.200
I mean, it's, that's, that's the society that Democrats have created in cities like
00:24:29.160
And obviously he signed an executive order today here in DC, uh, outlawed or essentially
00:24:36.400
He has the power to do that as the executive in the federal district.
00:24:38.720
So, and there's nothing the DC government can do about it.
00:24:41.280
Cashless bail is now a thing of the past in Washington, DC.
00:24:51.860
But honestly, a Republican majority doesn't really have the, uh, the balls.
00:24:57.800
It's pulling teeth to get anything done at these chowder heads, but, uh, with, with
00:25:01.500
the, uh, with the DAs, are you, I mean, cause you're on the ground a lot and you're speaking
00:25:05.620
to locals, like not just normal people as they're kind of awareness, you know, nationally of
00:25:11.080
how the DAs are really behind a lot of the calamity or is it still kind of a relatively
00:25:17.100
I think more and more people are waking up to that fact as, uh, as being reality.
00:25:23.420
Uh, you know, we know what's going on because of, you know, we, we follow this stuff pretty
00:25:28.460
closely, but yeah, I would say there's, you know, there, there's, uh, the legal system
00:25:35.140
So maybe not everybody understands exactly where the fingers need to be pointed.
00:25:38.500
And that's why George Soros funds these, uh, DAs because, you know, the districts, just
00:25:45.380
district attorneys are extremely powerful, uh, in the, the counties or cities that they're
00:25:52.120
in, uh, because they're the ones that decide almost unilaterally who walks free and, and,
00:26:02.180
You saw up there in, uh, Minnesota, I believe when that somebody caused one of Tim Waltz's
00:26:09.160
Cause, you know, 10, $15,000 in damage to various Teslas.
00:26:13.700
And the DA was like, no, we're going to decline to press charges and just let them go.
00:26:21.700
And they just like, nah, we're just not going to prosecute it.
00:26:24.960
We have multiple videos from all these Teslas of him doing it, but we're just going to
00:26:29.180
You know, that, that is, uh, one of the worst issues that we're dealing with all across the
00:26:33.980
And that's in DC, Trump brought in, uh, JAG attorneys, which are military attorneys to
00:26:43.000
So then you, again, you have to rely on the DAs.
00:26:45.640
So there's going to have to be some sort of awareness campaign, like to, to, to make sure
00:26:49.420
that everybody understands what they're voting for on the ballots, you know, because a lot
00:26:53.620
of people just grab a coffee and discover Vegas level excitement with bed MGM casino.

00:27:52.920
You get people that work 12, 15 hours a day, for example, right?
00:27:57.040
And they're going to vote and there's 50 names on a ballot.
00:28:05.960
I think we need to start pouring a lot more money into, into those DA races to counter
00:28:10.560
George Soros, because, you know, you raise somebody's name ID, somebody that's actually
00:28:16.100
tough on crime, put a lot of money behind them.
00:28:18.160
If that's the only name that people recognize on the ballot, then they'll probably win Republican
00:28:25.580
Well, funny enough, you saw it in San Francisco to all places is where there was kind of a bit
00:28:29.500
of a revolt against the Soros DA and San Francisco.
00:28:33.860
I mean, come on, like, you know, it's to the left of Mark's most San Francisco residents.
00:28:37.700
And I mean, a large part of that was a lot of these, you know, wealthier locals that were
00:28:42.060
fed up that had a bit more free time to look into the issue, were able to allocate resources
00:28:46.800
to the race and were able to, you know, elevate the profile of the non-insane DA.
00:28:51.600
I mean, obviously this person would still be, you know, broadly speaking, a Democrat, but
00:28:55.560
at least someone that has their head on straight a little more.
00:28:58.120
So, like, to your point, there could be something to be said there.
00:29:02.680
I have one last question for you, and we kind of hit on it at the top of the interview,
00:29:07.820
is it really does seem like the left, broadly speaking, but also just on the street in D.C.
00:29:15.680
I mean, your anecdote of the guy in the Mets jersey, where the best he could muster up
00:29:19.460
was just a quick passing, like, shout at a guy.
00:29:22.920
I mean, that seems like a group that realizes they're powerless and they're not entirely sure
00:29:30.580
I mean, because they've been, for the past seven months of this administration, you've
00:29:42.640
You know, a lot of people think that, okay, well, it's USAID funding dried up, so therefore
00:29:51.460
People aren't donating to these causes anymore because they're losing causes.
00:29:56.080
And President Trump proved that by winning in a landslide in November.
00:29:59.900
You know, he took a hard line against immigration and the border and crime and such, and just
00:30:10.040
People just aren't, there's not enough money behind it anymore on the left.
00:30:14.360
And people are afraid to fund it because, you know, the right has gotten so much more
00:30:20.620
And, you know, you see, like, look at Cracker Barrel, for example, this past week.
00:30:27.380
It's lost like $150 million in market value already.
00:30:32.240
And so you're not seeing these paid protesters go around anymore.
00:30:36.520
And when you do, they're much, much smaller because, you know, they can't afford it.
00:30:42.480
So the demoralization and the lack of funding, you're not seeing, I've seen, like, one protest
00:30:49.860
here, like, real protests over the past 10 days in D.C.
00:30:56.440
And given the fact that they're calling it, like, a military takeover or whatever, you
00:30:59.960
know, normal people aren't believing that, you know, they don't believe that lie.
00:31:04.780
And like I said, the majority of them are happy to be in the street.
00:31:07.060
So if they're happy to be safe and they're not being paid, what are they protesting?
00:31:13.160
Well, Nick, thank you so much for your insights.
00:31:18.860
Find me on X because they'll ban me on every other platform.
00:31:30.800
Well, that was the great Nick Sorter giving us the scoop from the inside, from the streets.
00:31:37.880
I mean, like he said, it's a good, it's a combination, really.
00:31:42.900
I mean, the fact that Gavin Newsom is just parroting Trump tweets, that's an indication
00:31:53.500
And then, obviously, the USAID money drying up, you know, another ominous sign for them.
00:32:07.260
Hopefully, we'll have Tim Pool back here sooner rather than later.
