00:01:00.000 Right now, everyone is suggesting that Democrats are on their way to a major victory in November, taking back the House.
00:01:07.980 Now, they will lose the Senate.
00:01:10.060 And all this is according to the prediction markets, the analysts and the pollsters.
00:01:14.100 But there is information coming out that suggests Republicans could actually hold their own.
00:01:18.360 And there is a decent probability that if everything is on the level, Republicans might actually still hold the House.
00:01:25.640 You see, Democrats are experiencing record low favorability for this time in a presidential cycle, indicating Republicans do have an opportunity on the merits to convince the American people to vote for the Republican Party come November.
00:01:41.220 Now, with the war in Iran and all of that controversy, it's looking pretty bad for the Republicans.
00:01:47.040 But again, people just don't like the Democratic Party.
00:01:50.840 They are split between the wacky far left and the corporate Democrats.
00:01:54.420 That's everybody's arguing. So can they really make it through? Well, there's one thing that
00:02:00.460 may actually change the game for the Democrats outside of a popular vote, and that is gerrymandering
00:02:07.160 the redistricting battle. Instead of actually saying, you know what, let's have a conversation
00:02:12.320 with the American people about what our government should look like. They said, let's just change the
00:02:17.060 structure of government so that we win no matter what. That is a procedural election, not a popular
00:02:23.640 one. You see, over Easter, I was with my family and we were in Virginia. We were grabbing dinner
00:02:30.720 and I saw on the TV something strange. It was a commercial. This commercial said, help us
00:02:37.340 Virginians protect the integrity of our elections, a temporary measure to protect elections in
00:02:45.280 Virginia. It was funny because my wife looks at me and she goes, they're lying. And I said, yes.
00:02:51.240 And she goes, they're not asking to protect elections.
00:02:53.640 They want to redistrict Virginia.
00:02:55.380 And I'm like, indeed.
00:02:57.340 You see, the way they're framing it in these commercials is that we must protect our elections
00:03:02.860 in Virginia, despite the fact this is redistricting for federal districts, which would change
00:03:08.260 the makeup of the federal government's Congress, not the state level.
00:03:14.560 The interesting thing, the new map drawn up in Virginia puts five congressional
00:03:21.220 districts in one city, Alexandria. Why would you need to do that? It is patently obvious to anyone
00:03:29.700 what is going on. Now, of course, they'll say, hey, Republicans started it first. And that's
00:03:34.960 technically correct. It is technically correct that in Texas, they decided to redistrict
00:03:40.880 mid-decade, which is abnormal. At the same time, I would argue, however, the Texan redistricting
00:03:47.980 effort was under the guise of we have a new election. We have a change in leadership.
00:03:53.900 We should drop our maps to reflect the population, especially considering there are challenges to the 0.97
00:03:59.920 Voting Rights Act. Now, don't get me wrong. By all means, you can argue they should not be doing 0.99
00:04:04.640 that. But what I will say is the response from Democrats has been overt. OK, we've always
00:04:10.360 gerrymandered, they say. Illinois is a joke. Let me show you how Illinois gerrymanders. And they
00:04:15.800 said, we will eliminate the Republicans from our state. There will be no Republican representation.
00:04:21.880 Now, by all means, again, argue that it's a tit for tat. And I'll say, well, you know,
00:04:26.120 to a certain degree. Yeah, that's true. But this is not in the end about tit for tat.
00:04:32.160 It is about Republicans backing down and saying we're not going to do it. And that's what we saw
00:04:37.600 in Indiana. And Democrats saying now's our chance. Again, I'll stress this. Call it a tit for tat.
00:04:44.180 And I will point that the Republicans have backed down in several key areas, notably Indiana being a big player here.
00:04:49.280 They will not redistrict. They said, we're not going to do it. It's too far.
00:04:52.380 And Democrats said, we're going to do it anyway.
00:04:55.860 So when you have a procedural vote instead of a popular one, then, yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out Democrats do win the midterms on that alone.
00:05:04.440 But let's take a look at what is actually going on.

00:05:53.680 Support our work at TimCast.com.
00:05:55.080 Let's jump into the news.
00:05:56.100 Now, I did cover this the other day, but I want to jump back in real quick for context before I show you what it is Democrats are planning to do.
00:06:03.900 Midterm alarm bells.
00:06:05.220 Democrats face steep favorability deficit despite election gains. Just 28 percent of Americans view
00:06:12.420 the Democratic Party favorably. Republicans don't fare much better in the latest polls.
00:06:16.960 And this is why it matters. We are supposed to be seeing a major uptick in support for the
00:06:22.220 Democrats because Donald Trump is unfavorable, right? I mean, people are pissed off about the
00:06:27.000 war in Iran. And even after Trump says ceasefire, they still attack him over it. Still, this is
00:06:33.100 going to be different. You see, there are a few factors at play. One, in the 2018 midterms,
00:06:38.840 can you believe it's been that long? Trump lost. And people said, well, the reason why is because
00:06:44.200 MAGA did not show up for these members of Congress. They wanted to vote for Trump. They did not want
00:06:50.000 to vote for whoever these guys were. Perhaps. Well, now, my friends, the question is, will the
00:06:56.240 same thing occur? Will Trump supporters come out to vote for Republicans? Well, I would argue the
00:07:00.920 inverse is also possible. That is, despite Trump's unfavorability among a growing sector of people
00:07:07.180 in this country, individual members of Congress remain popular among their constituents.
00:07:12.460 If the Republicans can rally their base for the individual candidates outside of Trump,
00:07:17.660 they could probably still win, except for the case where they're redistricting everything
00:07:22.440 and they're going to win by procedure anyway. So that's the important point here.
00:07:27.260 Let me show you what we got in the polls. Current Democratic Party favorability is minus 20 and
00:07:33.160 Republicans are minus 15.4. So let's just be real. Everybody hates of both. The Republicans
00:07:38.840 are hated just a little bit less and they're enjoying tremendous voter registration. That
00:07:44.040 being said, we have other polls showing that the current independent self-ID shows that individuals
00:07:50.360 that are not affiliated as members of the party identify less with the Republican Party than ever
00:07:56.840 in like ever before in recent history maybe like the last 30 years or some ridiculous number
00:08:01.120 let's take a look at what's currently going on in virginia here we go i love this one usa today
00:08:07.080 says democrats lost the plot now they're losing voters progressive states like new york and
00:08:12.000 california keep losing residents to lower tax high freedom states like texas and florida so
00:08:17.860 what's the response let's roll baby we got a commercial for you it's 30 seconds long and uh
00:08:25.100 let's make it a little bit can i can i even make it bigger here we go let's let's let's play watch
00:08:29.220 these commercials virginia we are counting on you republicans want to seats in congress to
00:08:34.980 raid the next election and wield unchecked power for two more years but you can stop them
00:08:40.440 by voting yes by april 21st help put our elections back on a level playing field
00:08:47.820 Oh, yeah. Voters decide, not politicians. Let voters decide. This is the responsible thing to
00:08:54.360 do. Help us chart a better path forward, Virginia. Vote yes by April 21st. Well, I'll just put it
00:09:01.160 this way. If you if you're for power, if you don't care how you get it, vote yes. If you believe in
00:09:07.460 honor and integrity and balance, vote no. If you think it's important that Democrats and Republicans
00:09:12.220 have fair representation, vote no. If you think it is important that you take as much power as
00:09:16.680 you can to defeat Republicans, vote yes. That's the honest assessment. But wait, there's more.
00:09:22.020 We have another one. It's one of the biggest threats to our democracy ever. MAGA Republicans
00:09:27.940 redrawing congressional maps in a midterm election power grab. Free and fair elections are the
00:09:34.540 cornerstone of our democracy, but they're under unprecedented attack. That's why the yes on fair
00:09:40.420 elections amendment is critical. It's a temporary emergency fix that restores fairness in our
00:09:45.940 elections, preserves independent redistricting and returns power to the people. Vote yes by April
00:09:52.440 21st. I would call all of that a lie. That's not what it does. Now, again, I'll say this. Texas did
00:09:58.860 do it. Other Republican states did it. But Indiana ultimately backs down. The Republicans could not 0.97
00:10:04.400 muster up a strong enough base among their own voters to say we should do this. Democrats are
00:10:12.160 saying, don't stop now. We're so close to stripping power from Republicans. But I want to
00:10:16.080 show you. Let me show you what they're doing so you can really understand why this is cheating.
00:10:20.260 But wait, there's more. I love this one from WDBJ. Confusing ads under fire in Virginia
00:10:27.400 redistricting race. Let's roll. Thank you. We are just under three weeks from learning the fate of
00:10:32.720 Virginia's congressional districts. You will be able to decide if the General Assembly can
00:10:36.640 temporarily redraw the districts, giving Democrats four more blue leaning districts.
00:10:40.660 It could affect who represents you on Capitol Hill.
00:10:44.260 That special election is April 21st, but early voting is already underway.
00:10:48.280 And groups are trying to win over some of your votes in some eye-popping ways.
00:10:52.920 And that's where we bring in WDBJ7's Colby Johnson.
00:10:55.720 So, Colby, we have already covered some interesting tactics that groups are using.
00:10:59.620 What is the latest that we're learning about?
00:11:04.320 Yeah, Mitch, so as you mentioned, both sides of this redistricting battle
00:11:08.840 have drawn criticism from the other for misleading ads in different parts of the state.
00:11:14.000 Yesterday, the Virginia NAACP called out the Democracy and Justice PAC
00:11:18.780 for the latest round of flyers it sent out targeting black voters.
00:11:23.120 The NAACP says those flyers are misleading.
00:11:26.860 It tells you that they're desperate.
00:11:29.860 They're desperate to try to confuse individuals,
00:11:34.040 all the deceitful lies and propaganda that they're publishing i know president obama
00:11:42.060 cannot be pleased about this over the past week these flyers showing former president barack
00:11:48.060 obama have been mailed out using anti-gerrymandering quotes from him and urging voters to vote no on
00:11:54.020 look at this look at this i gotta jump back a little bit former president barack obama have
00:11:58.460 been mailed out for too long gerrymandering has contributed to stalled progress and warped our
00:12:03.780 Representative of government, Barack Obama.
00:12:05.020 Using anti-gerrymandering quotes from him and urging voters to vote no on the redistricting referendum.
00:12:10.480 The NAACP says these mailers are meant to confuse and disenfranchise black voters.
00:12:16.180 It says the quotes are used out of context.
00:12:18.740 Obama has been a vocal supporter of the redistricting referendum.
00:12:22.600 Justice and Democracy PAC chair A.C. Cordoza defends the ads.
00:12:26.560 He says the quotes are not out of context and show that Obama and Governor Abigail Spanberger
00:12:31.840 supporting the redistricting amendment goes against their values.
00:12:35.760 Yep.
00:12:36.180 Their values are to oppose this amendment.
00:12:39.420 But what they want right now, what's going to advantage them is for people to vote yes.
00:12:44.780 So we're encouraging people to stand with their values.
00:12:47.980 I just want to point out real quick, the NAACP attacking this black man for saying
00:12:53.300 Obama should stick by his principles.
00:12:54.780 Not saying what they want right now.
00:12:56.560 Cordoza's PAC previously came under fire for these flyers, comparing the redistricting push to Jim Crow voter suppression.
00:13:03.760 In Page County, the Democratic Committee came under fire for a similar tactic, using this billboard and quote from President Trump to encourage voters to vote yes in the heavily Republican area.
00:13:14.700 Cordoza says the redistricting will dilute black voices by breaking up two majority-minority districts.
00:13:21.020 He says it makes no sense.
00:13:23.000 Majority-minority. 0.98
00:13:24.660 I swear to God, these people, the NAACP to support it. 0.59
00:13:28.560 Now, last I checked, the NAACP stood for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
00:13:36.840 OK, not the NAACP, the National Association for the Advancement of Caucasian Democrats.
00:13:43.000 That's what's happening. These maps are Caucasian Democrats, period. 0.78
00:13:47.940 The president of Roanoke's NAACP chapter, Dr. Brenda Hale, says redistricting would make the upcoming elections more fair by countering similar moves made in Texas and other red states. 0.71
00:13:59.960 We want what is fair and equitable.
00:14:03.680 So she's not talking about what's fair for the residents of Virginia.
00:14:06.980 She's talking about a collective power grab nationally.
00:14:10.760 So if you live in Virginia and you believe that you should have a right to speak your mind and have a representative for you, they're saying, no, that's not a fair election.
00:14:18.880 We want to take that away from you so that we can balance power nationally.
00:14:22.640 Look how long we've had to wait for it.
00:14:25.580 So this is a golden moment for us.
00:14:28.440 Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:14:29.140 Well, what I will say, my friends, is that I'm not going to cut any great slack for the Republicans who are also pulling redistricting moves.
00:14:36.440 But in Virginia, I find it to be particularly egregious.
00:14:39.120 Again, you can argue the Republicans are just too weak and they tried fine.
00:14:43.220 They failed.
00:14:44.200 But at least you can say this right now.
00:14:46.840 Democrats have the edge in the midterm simply by redistricting polls be damned.
00:14:52.300 If they think that's fair elections, then let's just say this.
00:14:55.420 We are cooked.
00:14:56.520 Nobody wants to argue anymore.
00:14:58.300 It's now just about stripping power.
00:15:00.700 Oh, we got a bunch of commercial.
00:15:02.020 I'm not going to play any more for you, but there's a whole bunch, a whole bunch.
00:15:04.500 This is from Virginians for fair elections, which is fake news, fake news.
00:15:09.040 you can see they're running these ads. Let's see. We'll play one. In law enforcement, we respond to
00:15:14.360 emergencies. And right now, fair elections are facing an emergency. Politicians in other states
00:15:20.160 are trying to pack Congress, redrawing maps to reelections. But Virginia can level the playing
00:15:26.380 field with a temporary emergency measure that restores fairness. Restores fairness. I can't 1.00
00:15:33.100 understand these people. I protect Virginia's people. Now we need to protect Virginia's voice.
00:15:38.900 Virginia has just stripped gun rights from everybody, raised a bunch of taxes and done 0.98
00:15:43.480 a bunch of whack-a-loon stuff. But hey, let me show you Virginia's current congressional map.
00:15:49.700 This is what Virginia is like right now. And you can see it has 11 congressional districts.
00:15:55.320 So you got over here, you got district number two. It's got that little piece of Delmarva,
00:15:58.940 you know, the Delmarva Peninsula. You got District 1 up here. You got, oh, it's so beautiful. It's
00:16:05.420 so beautiful. Look at all this. Look at all this. There's Alexandria. And let's zoom in.
00:16:10.760 Not too far. Not too far. Here's Arlington, Fairfax, Prince William, Loudoun, you know.
00:16:18.760 Look at these districts. 8, 11, 10. Well, how about I show you the proposed map? And I'll show
00:16:24.540 you why I call this one egregious and evil. This is the new proposed congressional map for Virginia.
00:16:31.960 And as you can see, it is very different. When you zoom into Alexandria, what do you find?
00:16:36.900 You find that there are five congressional districts in one city. Now, how is that possible?
00:16:44.240 Take a look at this beauty of a gerrymander. District eight should stop here, but they create
00:16:49.980 this little strip of land that goes way up into Alexandria. Why? So they can jam in a hyper left
00:16:55.760 political faction into this district. Then you can take a look at District 1. Same thing. Look
00:17:02.220 at these strips. 1, 2, 3, 4, and lovely District 10, just on the outskirts of Arlington, but
00:17:09.400 capturing that already left. Look at that. There's Winchester. For those that don't know,
00:17:15.900 We are actually up here near your Charlestown.
00:17:18.360 So we're right across the street from District 11.
00:17:21.140 And look what they do in order to eliminate Republican voices.
00:17:25.320 They connect District 7 stretching all the way down here, all the way down here into
00:17:31.100 Alexandria.
00:17:32.560 So why is it that they are going to have five congressional districts in the Alexandria
00:17:38.820 Metro, basically Washington, D.C.?
00:17:41.540 That is five districts to represent just one city because it's evil, because they're cheating, because that is the way you win these days.
00:17:54.140 So right now, currently you have five strong Democrat, two lean Democrat, one toss up, two Republicans and one strong Republican.
00:18:03.880 With the new maps, it's going to be five strong dem, five lean dem and one Republican district.
00:18:10.340 They can't get rid of that last one. Nothing can do about that. But it's effectively a plan
00:18:14.780 to eliminate. To eliminate the Republican voice from Virginia. Now, again, I'll stress this. They
00:18:21.800 make arguments about other states. And here we go into an ideological battle. Indeed. I'm going to
00:18:27.960 say this, whether you're for the Republicans or against the Republicans or for Democrats or
00:18:32.340 against them, we're not debating policy anymore. Now it's just they're calling it unfair that
00:18:38.360 other states are deciding how to run their states. Okay. At the national level, the Democrat and the
00:18:44.420 Republican Party are no longer interested in negotiations or popularity. Now it's a question
00:18:51.720 of can we extract as much power as possible? And where that leads us to? I don't know. Civil war.
00:18:58.500 I said it. This is from the New York Post. GOP started the gerrymander fight, but in Virginia
00:19:03.520 may not have the guts to finish it. They say this year's midterm election aren't just about
00:19:08.140 who wins this November. They're about who wins the fight over gerrymandering. Nowhere is the
00:19:12.440 battle fiercer than in Virginia, a state where just voters six years ago approved a constitutional
00:19:16.480 amendment to take partisanship out of redistricting. Now, Democrats want to make an exception to that
00:19:21.580 rule that Virginia voters approve by a nearly two-thirds majority in 2020. You see, here's the
00:19:27.400 thing. We had Youngkin. Virginia had some Republican for a minute, and it largely had to do with the 0.91
00:19:33.220 trans bathroom stuff. Loudoun County was huge. Well, now you got strong Democrats sweeping
00:19:39.800 across the board in Virginia, running roughshod over the state and the people who live there.
00:19:44.720 Let me show you an example of why I have utter disdain for Democrats and why I think that
00:19:48.380 Democrats are cheating. And although I think I see no problem with throwing shade toward
00:19:52.240 the Republicans, fair point. Take a look at this map. This is we don't do that. This is Illinois.
00:19:58.460 Let's see if we can get this a little bit bigger.
00:20:00.120 There we go.
00:20:02.000 Here's Illinois. 0.73
00:20:03.300 And let's shrink this image a little bit.
00:20:05.920 Notice this right here, Congressional District 13.
00:20:09.460 Yes, my friends, District 13.
00:20:12.020 It makes no sense.
00:20:13.640 It is a thin strip that combines Champaign, Springfield, and what does that say?
00:20:20.420 Alton?
00:20:21.320 East St. Louis.
00:20:22.400 We don't really care about the other ones.
00:20:23.980 Now, why do this?
00:20:25.740 Well, take a look at District 15. They sliced right through the middle of it to capture the Democrats and give them their own district. This is a fake district. It is clearly made to manipulate. And it's wrong. You can take a look at how Chicago operates. And I'd argue very similarly. Take a look at these districts. Look at District 1 stretching into Chicago. Why? 0.93
00:20:50.440 Now, listen, some people argue that gerrymandering is pure evil and all this stuff.
00:20:54.540 And I said, no, no, no.
00:20:55.360 The thing is, sometimes districts will look weird because of commercial districts and
00:21:00.860 they're not capturing population.
00:21:02.040 Fine.
00:21:02.700 But we know what this is.
00:21:04.540 It's just we don't have real elections anymore.
00:21:07.640 Take a look at this district 17.
00:21:09.100 They had to come in and scoop up Rockford.
00:21:11.080 You know why?
00:21:11.740 Because the truth is, if they did congressional districts legitimately based on just population
00:21:17.000 size and area, all Republican.
00:21:19.600 All of it. Democrats wouldn't win. And we know it. And this is where we currently are with the
00:21:24.140 midterms. We got this from Fox News. Republicans win, but Democrats also claim victory with ballot
00:21:30.120 box surge in Trump territory. Fuller said Trump was a key factor in us winning the seat vacated
00:21:35.680 by Marjorie Taylor Greene in January. The good news is for Republicans, Republican won. But 0.61
00:21:43.240 Democrats are pointing out that they never expected to win this seat because Trump had won by 37
00:21:48.140 points, but they did make gains. They say Harris, a cattle farmer, spent four decades in the
00:21:54.320 military, lost to Fuller by 12 points. That is a significant improvement from the 29-point defeat
00:22:00.960 he suffered to Green in 2024. Democrats cited the result in the 14th district as the party's
00:22:06.700 latest ballot box overperformance. Indeed, indeed, maybe Democrats are just going to win.
00:22:15.280 Donald Trump has got a lot of people pissed off.
00:22:18.740 Candace Owens called him the mad king.
00:22:20.260 I mean, when you've got prominent people who used to be in Trump's camp now calling for his removal,
00:22:25.680 it's going to be tough for Trump to muster up any kind of support to win this one, huh?
00:22:29.620 Politico says a wow moment.
00:22:31.340 Democrats' election hot streak goes scorching.
00:22:34.700 Two races in battleground states on Tuesday saw the party make massive gains compared to 2024.
00:22:40.580 four. Democrats just had one of their best election nights since Trump returned to the White House
00:22:45.500 again in the Wisconsin Supreme Court election. A Democratic backed candidate sailed to a nearly
00:22:50.300 20 point landslide victory. Wow. Meanwhile, a Georgia Democrat slashed Trump's margin of victory
00:22:56.840 by two thirds. The results in the battleground states home to. Yeah, we get it. It's a wow
00:23:02.540 moment in Wisconsin politics. Republicans ought to be sitting down tonight and going, OK,
00:23:06.640 hey, we just screwed up another race.
00:23:09.260 What are we going to do in November?
00:23:11.420 Chris Taylor, a liberal Wisconsin judge,
00:23:13.560 led by 20 points with 90% of votes counted,
00:23:17.140 nearly double the already large margin
00:23:19.440 another liberal candidate won in 2025.
00:23:22.960 In Georgia, Democrat Sean Harris
00:23:25.220 lost to Republican Clay Fuller,
00:23:26.920 but the margin was only 12 points
00:23:29.040 with nearly all votes counted,
00:23:31.540 roughly one-third the 37-point margin
00:23:33.540 Trump won by in 2024.
00:23:34.900 Well, Tuesday's results are not a perfect parallel to November.
00:23:39.040 The consistent Democratic overperformances and races large and small since Trump returned
00:23:42.480 suggest the base is motivated to turn out for all matter of contests.
00:23:46.900 Well, the polling I've seen, if they hold true from the special elections,
00:23:53.700 some are suggesting Democrats will take a supermajority because the issue is that it's not
00:23:58.640 just, my friends, about whether or not they're going to swing the elections.
00:24:03.600 It is also about the redistricting combined with sentiment.
00:24:08.460 Let's take a look at 270 to win's house interactive map.
00:24:12.180 And let's just make sure it is a reset here.
00:24:14.420 Where's that stupid reset button?
00:24:16.860 I can't even, is this, where is, I don't even,
00:24:20.100 I don't even know where the reset button is.
00:24:22.480 Whatever.
00:24:23.780 I think we're good here.
00:24:25.020 I think we're looking at the actual map, congressional.
00:24:29.660 Oh, okay.
00:24:30.100 I haven't changed this one.
00:24:30.920 I was thinking of the Senate map.
00:24:31.720 My bad, my bad.
00:24:32.960 If you take a look at this, you can see the Democrats are on track to win 212 to Republicans, 205.
00:24:37.240 But 18 seats are still considered toss ups, meaning theoretically we can get 223 Republican seats.
00:24:45.340 I think it's very unlikely. But I will stress this. This is factoring in the polls we have right now.
00:24:52.460 So when they are saying Democrats are ahead, yes, in the current polls still, they're 18 toss ups.
00:25:00.560 Republicans can make this work.
00:25:03.060 Let's zoom in to our good friends over in Virginia over here.
00:25:07.680 And you can see they're still basing this off of the old congressional map.
00:25:12.600 So what will happen if it changes?
00:25:15.060 Well, we'll take a look.
00:25:17.840 If we were to change Virginia right now based on polling, we got, let's turn that one blue
00:25:23.640 and we'll turn that one blue and that's what it's going to look like.
00:25:26.100 Oh, wow, that one, that's going to be blue.
00:25:27.600 And so that changes the game to 215 guaranteed for Democrats.
00:25:32.980 Indeed, my friends, that's the nature of the game.
00:25:36.220 That's how they're going to take it.
00:25:38.240 I wonder if the people of Virginia will actually vote for this.
00:25:41.720 It'll be interesting.
00:25:42.920 Vote for a redistricting that removes their congressional seats.
00:25:47.080 I have to imagine the districts that are Republican aren't going to be too happy about that.
00:25:53.240 But my friends, it's where we are.
00:25:54.860 Now, the Republicans have a backup plan and it is cold, hard cash.
00:25:59.640 They're banking on Trump's wall of cash to stop Democrats in the midterms.
00:26:03.380 Well, money talks and BS walks.
00:26:06.180 So they're going to dump a lot of money in this one.
00:26:09.520 The question is, how much will they spend?
00:26:12.440 Will the Republicans simply say it's not worth it?
00:26:14.520 We're going to lose anyway.
00:26:15.300 So let's save the money for later.
00:26:16.920 That's a strategy they might employ.
00:26:18.340 They'll say it's going to be a rough two years, but let's save the money we have for 2028. 0.92
00:26:23.060 so we can maintain the presidency, the Senate, and the House.
00:26:27.120 If we dump too much money now and we're going to lose anyway,
00:26:31.220 it's not going to be all that good now, is it?
00:26:33.260 The only problem with that strategy,
00:26:35.020 if Democrats get a strong enough majority
00:26:37.600 and they just destroy Trump's agenda,
00:26:40.420 then going into 2028, the people are going to be like,
00:26:42.740 I don't know why things are bad.
00:26:44.960 I don't know why gas is expensive.
00:26:47.200 I'm voting for the Democrats because Trump's the president.
00:26:50.140 And then Trump goes to prison and so does everybody else.
00:26:52.780 And the point is this. Democrats will obstruct and cause chaos. This will make people's lives
00:26:57.980 worse. Then they will. The people who don't know politics will just simply say, I don't know what's
00:27:02.060 going on other than Trump's the president. So I'm voting for the other guy. And there is the big
00:27:06.200 risk. But I'm curious, really. I mean, we know Democrats still have the edge. We can see it
00:27:10.600 right here. But I'm curious, who are they going to bring in for 2028 after the midterms? I got
00:27:16.120 some theories. I'm going to say something scandalous, scandalous, just because it'll be
00:27:21.800 scandalous. Not that I actually think it's true or anything like that, but I have some,
00:27:25.740 you know, scandalous rumors. Well, take a look at Axios real quick. What are they saying? What
00:27:30.000 are they saying? Several potential 2028 nominees. You got Gavin Newsom. You got Shapiro. You got
00:27:36.560 Buttigieg. Maybe. Maybe, huh? You know, maybe. I don't know. Okay. Newsom, perhaps. Well, you know,
00:27:46.140 I've talked about the rumors that maybe it'll be Tulsi Gabbard and Joe Kent, or maybe they'll go
00:27:49.400 independent. But I'm going to throw a scandalous name into the mix for fun. Tucker Carlson.
00:27:56.600 And immediately you're going, what? That's the stupid running into the Democrat. Are you kidding
00:28:01.620 me? Tucker Carlson's not going to run. What is this from the national interest? Tucker Carlson
00:28:08.080 was a Democrat for years. Was a bow tie wearing Democrat before he backed Trumpism.
00:28:14.380 what is all this huh he has liberal views yes a democrat he changed his views no no no this is
00:28:24.260 one dumb article just trying to smear what from the nation the leftist publication 0.52
00:28:30.920 tucker carlson's conversion story with the original headline headline what happened to
00:28:37.860 Tucker Carlson? What? What is this from The Nation? A biography of Tucker Carlson talking
00:28:48.200 about how he's changed? What's going on here? Why did the left write this background on Tucker
00:28:54.720 Carlson? I'm not going to be wrong. It's not like a puff piece or anything. But when you start
00:28:59.300 getting publications saying Tucker was a Democrat, he's had a conversion, he's changing, I call this
00:29:05.700 priming. I'm not saying they'll actually bring Tucker. I think it's a long shot. I think it's
00:29:09.560 more scandalous than anything to suggest. But I do find it interesting that this narrative has
00:29:13.780 emerged where there is a reformation happening among liberals where they're listening to Tucker
00:29:17.780 Carlson. Why? It's critical of Israel, anti-war, and been criticizing Donald Trump. And liberals
00:29:23.240 have been listening. Same is true for Candace Owens. Suburban women. Interesting. So what 0.98
00:29:30.240 happens if it is Tucker? It is Tucker who comes out in the next couple of years and says the only
00:29:38.040 way to stop Trump is with a strong Democratic Party. And he says, listen, we agree on these
00:29:45.680 issues. And he highlights anti-war criticism of Israel, criticizing Trump. And he says,
00:29:51.300 we don't have to agree on everything else, but we have to unite to stop Donald Trump and Trumpism.
00:29:56.700 that might work. Seriously. Tucker Carlson comes and says, I know we've not gotten along on so many
00:30:04.060 things, but we, the principal issue for Democrats is orange man bad. Tucker comes out and says,
00:30:10.380 we meant to agree, but I promise you I will stop Donald Trump and I have conservatives who will
00:30:14.840 back me and you can back me and America together will defeat fascism. Might actually work to stop
00:30:22.100 Trump? Because you got his base, you got Candace's base. I'll just say this. While I don't really
00:30:28.600 think that's going to happen, I just find it interesting considering the major shift in tone
00:30:32.620 from prominent conservative personalities who have abandoned Trump and Tucker, and now a leftist
00:30:39.140 publication talking about his conversion. Huh. You know, maybe. You got Tulsi Gabbard, Carlson,
00:30:47.900 Carlson-Gabbard presidential ticket? Is that what's going to happen? I don't know. I'll say
00:30:53.300 this. I really don't think so. But in the event, two years from now, that's what's happening.
00:30:59.900 You know, you heard it here first. Technically, one year from now, we'll start getting a primary
00:31:05.160 season. And what if we start seeing an appeal from people like Candace? I'll tell you this. 0.98
00:31:11.000 I know a bunch of liberal suburban women. They're middle of the road, not strong Democrat, and they 1.00
00:31:14.460 love Candace. They love her. So what if this movement starts rallying Democrats to vote for
00:31:23.160 a Tucker Gabbard ticket or something like this? You may say it's crazy because the progressives
00:31:27.820 will never support it. The progressives have been getting removed. They've been losing. The squad
00:31:32.180 members have lost their primaries. You are going to look at an opportunity for a moderate
00:31:37.000 Democratic Party. With Tucker? Well, as we saw in the national interest,
00:31:45.800 Tucker was a Democrat for years. Trump called him low IQ. So we'll see. I know just scandalous.
00:31:53.340 We'll see. I'm going to leave it there, my friend. Smash the like button. Share the show
00:31:56.560 with every single person you know. We're back tonight at 8 p.m. for Timcast IRL. Don't miss it.
00:32:02.680 We'll see you all then.
00:32:07.000 You
