00:00:00.000Joe Rogan has dropped the hammer on the Democratic Socialists, saying you can't just steal people's money.
00:00:07.780And this matters because the progressives are gaining ground in some states.
00:00:11.540While moderates have won in places like Illinois, New York, Colorado and Michigan, the far left is winning.
00:00:18.980But it's looking bad. I got to tell you, Democrats have come out recently saying, look,
00:00:24.340we recognize there's not going to be a Joe Rogan of the left because Joe Rogan is just your average
00:00:29.420middle-of-the-road guy. In a recent interview with Andrew Wilson, Joe basically calls out the
00:00:34.440Democratic Socialists saying, I understand why people like these policies, but it just doesn't
00:00:38.400work. And if that is what hits the moderate, the independent voter, we are going to see the
00:00:45.040prediction market start swinging. And dare I say it, guys, who'd have thunk? Joe Rogan's the
00:00:51.360kingmaker. You know, things have changed in the past several years. Back when I first appeared
00:00:56.560on Joe's show, and I think it was like 2019, it was massive. People were desperate for some
00:01:02.740alternative media space, largely because of the censorship. And it's sad to see how Vice failed,
00:01:08.800because when you look at Barstool, Joe Rogan, Outkick, they stayed true, and they all, you know,
00:01:16.440they all became kingmakers in their own right. Vice, on the other hand, did not. So Joe right
00:01:21.440now, whether because he wanted to or not, commands one of the largest and most important voting blocks
00:01:28.400in this country. So when he endorsed Donald Trump, said he was going to vote for him,
00:01:32.820that probably bumped Trump up a little bit. I mean, look, here's a dude who's getting something
00:01:38.060like 80 million views per month off of only 15 episodes. I wish I got a morning show. I got an
00:01:46.560early evening show and a nightly show. And I'm only getting about 60 million per month. I'm
00:01:51.820going to stress this again. Joe has reach. He has one episode. He's going to get millions of views.
00:01:57.080OK, we do one episode. We get hundreds of thousands. So I got to do three instead of one.
00:02:01.200The dude reaches substantially more people. And when he reaches them, they listen. So this is big
00:02:07.520for the establishment Democrats, not because Joe Rogan's trying to endorse them, but because
00:02:12.900when he comes out and says, look, this stuff doesn't work. It's actually going to strike
00:02:17.740at the heart of what moderates are willing to do because they listen. Joe's not the smartest guy
00:02:23.840in the world. He's not always right about everything, but he comes off as, and I would
00:02:29.420argue he is, one of the most honest guys in media. I believe that he's not playing this game for
00:02:36.600politics. He genuinely feels certain ways. He's not going to take no BS from anybody.
00:02:40.520And so people listen and they trust him. You know, Joe's the night in the past, but he's basically our best journalist of our generation. And this is the truth. When Joe sits down, we see people on the left insult him, saying he just lets people say what they want, just nods on. Welcome to journalism.
00:03:02.160I certainly got my compliance with this, how journalists operate.
00:03:05.140But the truth is, what Joe is doing is journalism.
00:03:08.080He's asking these people to express and share their views.
00:04:25.340And they think that this idea of democratic socialism is a really good idea because there are some examples of socialist policies that do work, like the fire department, and there's a bunch of stuff that makes sense.
00:04:37.380But the problem with enforcing any of this stuff that they don't understand is it always comes down to power.
00:04:44.960You have to have massive authority and usually guns because you can't just steal people's money.
00:04:51.140They're not going to let you just come in and decide, hey, we just devised a new tax where everybody who makes more than $500,000 a year, everything over that, you have to give 100% to the state.
00:05:03.940A simple statement, a light statement, but a true statement nonetheless to tens of millions of people, the DSA does not work.
00:05:12.220And I'm going to explain the functions of this socialist policy and why it doesn't work.
00:05:16.340And the first thing I want to say is what we know from the trending data is that people are not inclined to vote for socialists because most of you already understand these mechanisms.
00:05:28.020We've got this from CNN. Abdul El-Sayed's Republican opponent directly pitches Democrats hoping to capitalize after divisive primary.
00:05:37.780Now, this guy, Abdul El-Sayed, very charismatic. I don't underestimate this guy.
00:05:43.220And he says he's not a socialist. He's a capitalist. And maybe. Maybe I don't know how much I trust any of these guys, be it Rogers or otherwise. But he understands. Abdul El-Sayed understands you cannot campaign as a socialist. But I want to break down what what Joe is saying for you guys. And I want to explain it like this. He says the fire department works. Why does the fire department work? Nobody wants their house on fire. That sounds simple, but let me explain.
00:06:11.540I liken human civilization kind of to like the states of matter, as it were.
00:06:38.380In New York City, you have very limited freedom.
00:06:40.040You can't really move around. You can't bounce around like crazy because you'd infringe on
00:06:45.100someone else's space. So you are contained. The further you move out, the more freedom you have
00:06:50.860to do crazy things. And it's really simple, right? You get an apartment in New York City,
00:06:54.660you ain't getting a drum set. Sorry, it's not happening. And so that's what I always hated
00:06:58.300about living in New York is that I've been playing drums since I was like six, seven years old. And
00:07:03.140I don't really play all that often anymore. But I always, sometimes I want to just sit down and I
00:07:07.380want to let her rip and play some drums, right? You can't do that in the city. In the suburbs,1.00
00:07:12.020you can sort of do it, so long as you make sure you soundproof your house. Neighbors might be
00:07:16.000okay with loud drumming at a certain point of the day, but you live in the countryside.
00:07:20.360I can go out. I can blast my amp's max volume. I can go almost like concert-level volume in the
00:07:29.420middle. No one's here to be bothered. You have more freedom. So let's talk about what this means.
00:07:35.220If you are in this dense block where everybody has limited space and a fire starts in your condo, in your townhouse, it's putting everyone else at risk.
00:07:47.020And so we tolerate this. Fine. We will pay a tax for a fire department.
00:07:53.840But hold on there a gosh darn minute, Joe Rogan.
00:07:56.560Things like fire departments go out to the countryside.0.64
00:08:00.160We don't have socialized fire departments. We have volunteer fire departments.
00:10:21.500So we call it a mixed economy because there's government programs.
00:10:25.480But socialism is the control of industry for which we do have a little bit, especially over the past couple of decades with these massive buyouts.
00:10:35.220Well, my friends, it's going to get really interesting as we move into this year election cycle with socialists on the rise and, you know, massive voices like Joe Rogan saying no to socialism.
00:10:46.300As I already showed you, Mike Rogers is going to go after the Democrats because they're concerned about that.
00:10:50.520But check this out from The New York Post.
00:10:52.620I'm a longtime Democrat fighting for GOP Mike Rogers and my party's soul in Michigan.
00:11:00.700This is from this is written by Julian Epstein.
00:11:05.020President, you know, I just want to I want to give a shout out to all the people whose
00:11:35.920After decades of giving my all for Democratic House and Senate candidates, this fall, I
00:11:40.620will support and contribute to Mike Rogers, Michigan's GOP Senate nominee, and I'll do
00:11:47.220everything I can to make sure other Democrats follow. Can I just do this? Shout it again to
00:11:52.920James Carville, who said if Hassan Piker becomes a prominent force in the Democrats, he's out.
00:11:57.940Bill Maher, who said his vote is in play because of these socialists. Let's go coalition, bro.
00:12:05.680My wish. My wish is that Bill Maher was just in charge of the Democratic Party.
00:12:10.440Now, many of you may not like Bill Maher, but we can all agree it is preferable to have an anti-communist and an Islam critical liberal who is up against, you know, a mega Republican type.
00:12:28.080These progressives are just plum nuts and the Democratic Party, they're reeling.
00:12:33.380With the exception of John Fetterman, my party's leaders have sought to appease the dangerous factions rising in our midst.0.97
00:12:39.580Weak, timid figures like Chuck Schumer are spouting empty cliches.
00:15:49.800on the issue of what we should be doing with Iran.1.00
00:15:51.700I mean, these are people who are genocidal maniacs, and I'm going to say my concern ultimately is, though, is the cure worse than the disease?1.00
00:15:59.140If we do, my point being, I'm not going to simulate the whole debate, is that we're going to be sitting there enjoying a fine cup of tea and having this conversation where we disagree.
00:20:13.940They say they want to give kids sex.0.99
00:20:15.080I'm like, are there any real Democrats left?0.99
00:20:18.980Well, finally, the socialists come around and they go, maybe we should.
00:20:23.280OK, my point ultimately is this. We'll keep this one short for the Friday. Now is the time when you get these Democrats coming out. We go to them and say, join the fray. OK, stand with us because we agree more than we disagree. Stop agreeing with these wackaloons. OK, we don't want abortion at nine months. No one does. And if you're going to argue if it never happens, fine, then we'll keep it illegal. If it doesn't happen, why did it need to be made legal?
00:20:51.840kids should not be getting sex changes. Sorry. Then they lie. They say, no, kid is getting,0.99
00:20:58.380just stop already. Stop pretending. Start paying attention. They call me right wing because I know
00:21:07.060what's going on in the world. But when you go to these people in the streets and you ask them about
00:21:10.940child sex changes, they'll lie and claim it's not happening. And if you prove to them it is,
00:21:14.860they'll just say it's a good thing because they live in a moral world, not a factual one.
00:21:21.580As AOC said, she believes it's better to be morally right than factually correct.
