00:00:00.000 Hi there, what can I help you find today?
00:00:01.980 I'm looking for a sporty vehicle with lots of interior space, especially for passengers.
00:00:06.600 What about the Kia K4 hatchback?
00:00:08.600 Okay, what about versatility? Great in the city, packed with technology?
00:00:12.520 Try the Kia Seltos.
00:00:14.000 And if I'm thinking a bit bigger, you know, starting a family?
00:00:17.200 How about the Kia Sportage?
00:00:18.940 Wow, you really do have a Kia for everything.
00:00:20.940 Pretty much.
00:00:21.760 Find a Kia that's right for you and enjoy great lease or finance rates this spring.
00:00:25.580 See Kia.ca for details.
00:00:27.640 Kia. Movement that inspires.
00:00:30.000 It's only been a few months, but things in New York City are already turning very sour.
00:00:35.960 And it looks like a lot of people regret their decision to vote in the new mayor, Zoran Mamdani.
00:00:41.580 You've got threats to raise taxes on the poor. Indeed. You've got NYPD budget being slashed.
00:00:51.020 Now they're talking about charging New Yorkers for parking. Hey, they did it in Chicago.
00:00:56.100 I don't recommend it. Zoran Mandani says, well, look, we got a major budget shortfall. So how
00:01:01.000 about you tax the rich or else we have no choice but tax the poor. The only problem with that,
00:01:07.320 it's a framing device. Zoran Mandani tells you that we're trying to tax the rich, but
00:01:12.380 there is no way taxing the wealthy of New York will cover their budget shortfall. For that matter,
00:01:19.140 the wealthy have already been leaving in droves. It's a trick. Mamdani knows the only way to fill
00:01:27.440 the gap in their budget is to tax the poor. He's talking about raising property taxes,
00:01:32.700 which will affect working class people. They're talking about taking away free parking. Hey,
00:01:37.280 rich people already park in private lots. They ain't putting their Maserati or Bugatti out there
00:01:43.100 on the street unprotected? No, that's for you, working class Joe, who needs to pull over and
00:01:48.900 park. They're going to charge you money for it. In Chicago, they sold the rights to parking,
00:01:55.620 public parking, to a private corporation, which I don't know how that's constitutional,
00:02:00.580 but they did it. And now a private company decides when you get fined by the government.
00:02:06.240 Now we're seeing this. Staggering one third of New Yorkers want to flee the city,
00:02:11.920 citing cost of living and quality of life. It seems like people got quite a different
00:02:17.420 story, quite a different scenario with this Zoran Mamdani. But I'm going to tell you this,
00:02:23.200 my friends. I'm actually not all that mad about it. I'm not. Now, certainly, look, I get defunding
00:02:28.200 the police is not a good thing. But let's be real. He Trojan-horsed his way in as a socialist,
00:02:34.140 and now he's taxing all of these people who want to live this way. Now, I'm not saying it's good
00:02:39.680 for New York. I'm saying you do not get to demand free stuff from everybody else without footing a
00:02:44.820 bill. And now that these people want the things promised by Zoran Mamdani, they're going to have
00:02:50.440 to foot the bill. And I say, okay. On top of that, New York has got a massive feces problem.
00:02:56.540 It's disgusting. And it's unfortunate that our great cities have become this. In San Francisco,
00:03:01.760 you got a poo department, not a joke. We got a fire department. We got a police department.
00:03:04.680 you got a poo department. I'm not joking. This is dead serious. There is so much human waste all
00:03:10.660 over SF. They had to create a department to go and clean it up. Now New York starting to experience
00:03:16.240 the same thing. You know why? Nobody is picking up their dog poop. This is low trust society stuff.
00:03:22.700 New York is fragmented and breaking down. It's been for some time. I've long complained about
00:03:27.200 the open air fish markets they have in the Lower East Side saying, look, I get it. The Chinese
00:03:31.740 migrants are used to putting up dead fish. Okay, I call it dead fish, but it's food. I get it.
00:03:37.700 Fresh fish in the market where they come from. But it's pretty crazy when you walk in and everything
00:03:43.000 smells like rotting fish and there's animal products just flowing into the streets. I say,
00:03:48.760 yo, we got to have some kind of controls on this. But unfortunately, if you go into those
00:03:53.940 neighborhoods and you tell them they're not going to be able to do that anymore, they're not going
00:03:56.520 to vote for you. So what do we get? We get this lion mom, Donnie, they call him. And now people
00:04:02.840 are starting to really regret exactly what they voted for with black leaders in the city saying
00:04:07.620 they're being snubbed and saying they are being hit with the brunt of these tax increases. Well,
00:04:14.460 my friends, I can't say anything other than you reap what you have sown. And this is why I left
00:04:20.080 New York. This is why many people have been making videos incessantly saying don't vote for Zoran
00:04:24.940 Mamdani. To be honest, I don't know that you'd get anything better from any of the other candidates
00:04:29.840 as well, considering that they're all too scared. And this is true of all politics, all politicians
00:04:35.620 too scared to actually reduce benefits and social programs so that they can balance the budget
00:04:42.580 because they know you'll never win if you actually do that. But maybe that's Zoran Mamdani's real
00:04:47.900 plan because Trump seemed to like him. Maybe he went to Trump and said, look, I'm just playing
00:04:52.040 the socialist thing. I am going to tax these people, close that budget and get the city back
00:04:56.440 on track and they are going to be pissed. Well, I don't know that makes sense because I'll tell
00:05:01.060 you this. It's a runaway train. If you are losing your wealthiest, then you lose tax revenue. If you
00:05:08.700 lose tax revenue, you can't fund programs to try and get the city back on track. It seems like it
00:05:15.180 comes and goes in waves. And we are now entering a nightmare scenario for New York where it's going
00:05:19.540 to get bad. With defunding the NYPD, you're going to get more crime. It's going to get pretty bad.
00:05:25.220 You're going to have dog waste everywhere, crime, trash, and no funding for it. This is what it was
00:05:30.820 like in the 80s. Trump came in and brought the wealthy back to the city, which brought in more
00:05:36.120 revenue, brought in more high life, more trade, more economics, more economic activity, I should
00:05:42.060 say. And this resulted in a resurgence. At the same time, you had Giuliani with his broken windows
00:05:46.900 policy, where he was basically like, arrest them for the minors of infractions. Hardcore policing,
00:05:53.340 bringing back individuals with great incentives and tax incentives and luxury. And that's how
00:05:58.480 you do it. What we are watching right now is completely the inverse. Let's jump into this.
00:06:03.660 But before we do, my friends, we got a big announcement, the new TimCast.com up and
00:06:08.620 available. We launched it. It's still a little lacking. It's the formal launch. So as of right
00:06:15.880 now. It's got like three-day-old content still on the front page, but we're getting there and we
00:06:21.240 launched and you can join the exclusive Timcast Discord community. Right when you come in, you
00:06:27.140 join in, you unlock all of the exclusive features, hang out with tens of thousands of like-minded
00:06:33.580 individuals, share your ideas, challenge them, debate. Everybody loves it. And as a bonus,
00:06:39.260 you get to call into our members-only uncensored show on Timcast IRL to talk to me and our guests
00:06:45.000 and co-hosts, with your support at timcast.com, all of this is possible. So if you think these
00:06:50.000 videos are good, if you think the work that I do is good, and that, you know, working 16-hour days
00:06:54.620 is honorable, then I ask you for your support. And if that wasn't good enough for you,
00:06:59.780 yesterday was my birth and I turned 40 years old. That's right. I'm on the back end as well. It's
00:07:05.600 all downhill from here. So if you want to support the work that I do as I age and eventually rot
00:07:11.160 out and die. I know, I know. I shouldn't be so harsh. Lots of people out there are older than
00:07:17.380 me. But if you want to wish me a happy birthday, you can join our community, support the work that
00:07:21.900 we do, and it would be greatly appreciated. So please, timcast.com. Join now. Easy enough.
00:07:27.180 Let's get to the news. We've got this from the New York Post. Staggering one-third of New Yorkers
00:07:31.580 want to flee New York, citing cost of living and quality of life, survey shows. In a landslide
00:07:37.100 majority. More than eight in 10 New Yorkers who responded to the mayor's poll believe that the
00:07:41.860 state is no longer affordable for the average family, up from 82% in 2025. Those high prices
00:07:47.960 fueled 40% of New Yorkers lining up to leave for greener pastures, while 21% cited quality of life,
00:07:54.460 15% said taxes, and 10% said politics, according to the poll. Now, I want to pause real quick and
00:07:59.420 show you this beautiful photo. Look at that photo of New York. Isn't it crisp and beautiful?
00:08:03.360 You can see all the snow. You see the woman pushing her baby stroller through the snowy
00:08:09.080 streets. Yeah, it looks really pretty, except there's a reason why I don't want to live there,
00:08:14.660 especially with my family. And that is all of this snow is covered with disgusting chemicals,
00:08:20.480 high concentrations of lead, oil, brake dust, all of that nasty stuff. It sits in the snow,
00:08:26.460 and as the snow melts, it remains concentrated. And then you end up with basically toxic sludge
00:08:32.160 everywhere. Guys, maybe the reason they're doing all of this in New York is to get you to leave
00:08:38.040 because the city is too congested. And with Zoom, everybody works remote anyway, right?
00:08:43.700 They say 7% are fed up with the weather. I don't agree with that. I love the snow.
00:08:48.080 The number of New Yorkers wanting to jump the state line increased to 33%.
00:08:52.380 It was up from 27% 15 years ago. The willingness to get out of town was highlighted last year when
00:08:58.240 more residents moved out of New York and New Jersey than any other state, with most bound
00:09:03.300 for the South and Pacific Northwest, according to United Van Lines 2025 National Movers Study.
00:09:09.680 Indeed. Now, you may be asking me, though, but Tim, people want to leave. Tell me what this
00:09:13.780 has to do with Zoran Mamadani. He's only been in office for like three months, right? He certainly
00:09:20.220 hasn't destroyed everything in that short amount of time. I absolutely will give him that. I do
00:09:26.520 not believe that Zoran Mamdani is responsible for literally every single problem that's affecting
00:09:32.280 New York. He inherited all of these problems and now he's got to juggle them and he doesn't know
00:09:36.520 how to do it. It's funny, like right when he gets in, bus prices and train, the metro prices went
00:09:41.120 up and everyone started roasting. And I'm like, guys, he had nothing to do with that. He just got
00:09:45.700 into office. That was preset in the previous administration. It's a time bomb for poor Zoran
00:09:51.580 Mamdani. Well, here you go. Black middle-class New Yorkers say they'd be victims of Democratic
00:09:57.560 Socialists of America's tax hike plan. Indeed they would. Indeed they would. Many black middle-class
00:10:04.640 NYC property owners say they'd be amongst the biggest victims of the DSA. Some told the Post
00:10:09.580 the DSA's Marxist measures, which include higher taxes for individuals making over $300,000
00:10:13.400 and taxing inheritances over $250,000, would hurt New Yorkers like themselves who spent decades
00:10:19.040 building up retirement accounts, paying off homes, and planning their estates to benefit
00:10:22.700 their loved ones. The reason you invest is to acquire wealth in the hopes of putting it towards
00:10:26.580 your legacy, your family, and this will greatly affect my family. I'm going to say it as I often
00:10:32.080 do. I believe Democrats are racist. I believe that they, you can call it the soft bigotry of
00:10:38.480 low expectations, right? That's what Bush called it. No, let me say it like this, my friends. I
00:10:43.940 believe that some of these plans, many of these plans are intended to actually harm black families
00:10:48.660 so they cannot improve. I mean it. Let's talk about these wealth taxes. Taxing inheritance is
00:10:54.020 over $250,000. Let me explain for you why that is intended to hurt the poor. You may be saying,
00:10:59.640 Tim, you're silly. $250,000, you're wealthy. Maybe not like super rich, but you're comfortable,
00:11:05.060 right? Indeed. There is a threshold of money at which point money is meaningless to you.
00:11:11.160 $250,000 is not that limit. Maybe it is a million bucks per year. Maybe the more money you get,
00:11:21.300 the less money matters. You know, and I say this not as a humble brag, but in full disclosure,
00:11:26.400 so I can explain this. I, uh, I go grocery shopping and I only somewhat pay attention
00:11:31.680 to the prices. I don't stop and look at the price of a gallon of milk. I I'll check the
00:11:36.360 prices, I'm grabbing it $4.29 or whatever it might be. But I don't really think about it all that
00:11:41.300 much beyond that. When I get my bill afterwards, I go, wow, it's $400 now, right? I am not saying
00:11:46.940 this to brag or to be condescending or insulting, but just to explain the perspective of someone
00:11:51.320 like me, I make a lot of money. And so I got to be honest, at a certain point, money doesn't mean
00:11:57.480 the same thing. So understand this. When they say that they're going to tax inheritances over
00:12:01.980 $250,000, they're talking about upper middle class people. So if you're a black family and you
00:12:08.420 have suffered generational poverty, but in the past generation or two, you've improved,
00:12:14.580 started a business, you're making money now, and now you finally have a real inheritance to give,
00:12:19.420 and it's only $250,000. The communists come and take away from you. Now, hold on there a minute.
00:12:26.940 What if I'm ultra-wealthy old money
00:12:29.460 and I've got a $50 million inheritance to give to my kid?
00:12:32.860 Well, they're going to tax it.
00:12:34.520 Let's talk, let's try this.
00:12:37.720 Explain this rather easily,
00:12:39.120 and then we'll jump to the next story here
00:12:40.540 that we have in line with Mamdani
00:12:42.640 considering eliminating free parking.
00:12:46.540 How much money do you need to be comfortable?
00:12:49.080 There are studies done on this,
00:12:50.180 and the average right now, I think, in the U.S. is around $150,000.
00:12:52.900 If you have $150,000 a year as a salary,
00:12:55.520 After taxes, you should be enough to pay for health care, have kids, have enough food,
00:13:00.020 and afford a two-week vacation while putting a little bit away towards your retirement.
00:13:04.640 That's the number they say.
00:13:06.000 To be honest, though, at $150K, look, I know a lot of you would say, like, I wish I was
00:13:10.960 making that much.
00:13:11.500 But no, in all seriousness, you still don't feel like you're ultra rich.
00:13:15.040 You're just finally starting to feel like you can relax a little bit.
00:13:18.980 You're still worried about the money.
00:13:20.360 You're still worried about the market, your retirement accounts, and all of these things.
00:13:23.840 At $250K, it's a bit more comfortable.
00:13:27.220 However, you still really are thinking about the money.
00:13:30.540 At $250K, you can certainly afford to live a middle-class median life, as one would hope
00:13:34.920 you could.
00:13:36.180 However, after $250K, they start taxing you more, right?
00:13:41.300 So now the harder you work, the more you work, the less you start getting back.
00:13:46.220 That's the top tax bracket.
00:13:48.160 Now, hold on.
00:13:48.640 Actually, I think it might be, they might have increased it, but let me put it like
00:13:51.520 this.
00:13:52.540 If you make $10 million a year and you only need $150 to be comfortable,
00:13:58.080 what do you do with the rest of that money?
00:13:59.500 Literally whatever you want.
00:14:00.880 First and foremost, you can just stop working because that's going to cover $150K.
00:14:06.380 Let's just say with inflation, if you make $10 million a year,
00:14:11.340 after your first year after taxes, you're going to take home $6 million.
00:14:14.060 You put that into the proper wealth management fund and just live off the interest.
00:14:18.420 And you don't got to do anything.
00:14:20.640 This is the point.
00:14:21.560 When they say like, oh, we're going to tax inheritances and properties.
00:14:25.980 Rich people don't care.
00:14:27.780 They will move.
00:14:28.720 They will find loopholes.
00:14:29.620 They will hire lawyers.
00:14:31.480 Middle income and middle level businesses are going to be the most hurt by those policies.
00:14:38.100 All it does is create a wall.
00:14:40.660 So if you are traditionally coming from a legacy poverty, impoverished family, they're
00:14:46.860 putting barriers in front of you that make it harder for you to get rich.
00:14:49.700 And if you're rich, you're going to say,
00:14:52.020 guess I'll hop on my private jet and fly to a different state where it's cheaper.
00:14:55.900 You can't do that if you're working class.
00:14:58.900 You can't do that even if you're upper middle class.
00:15:01.520 You can't just sell your property.
00:15:03.080 You might be underwater right now.
00:15:05.040 Well, here we go.
00:15:06.260 In the latest move, Mama Donnie, I know his name's Mom Donnie.
00:15:09.220 I'm just goofing off, is considering to eliminate,
00:15:12.140 considering eliminating free parking.
00:15:14.260 This is a really great example.
00:15:15.780 We have this tweet here.
00:15:16.480 I want you to hear it from this woman where she explains it.
00:15:19.160 So, it looks like City Hall is discussing whether or not to charge people for using the streets for parking right now.
00:15:28.900 Mind you, Zoron Mandami ran on taxing the upper class and not the lower class.
00:15:36.900 See, the upper class in this city, they usually go to a garage.
00:15:41.840 It's usually like the lower and the middle class that park on the street.
00:15:46.420 there's also people that are living in cars that also park on the street.
00:15:53.420 I try to tell a lot of people before the election that the people that we're voting in
00:16:00.100 is not for the regular people, and they do not represent or come from backgrounds of regular
00:16:06.300 people. So she's been warning you, man, she's right. Now, I'm gonna be honest with you.
00:16:12.540 it's a problem that people sleep in their cars. It's a problem that there's overcrowding in too
00:16:18.840 many cars, uh, punishing the poor. I don't know if that's the appropriate solution.
00:16:24.540 It's almost like, uh, mom, Danny says, we got too many cars. We got people sleeping in the cars.
00:16:28.480 Just make it impossible for them. Isn't that great? We're not going to solve the problem.
00:16:33.040 We're going to make the problem go away, right? Those are different things. Mom, Danny comes in
00:16:39.200 says, trust me, we're going to tax the rich and do all these great things. And then it just makes
00:16:42.840 it worse for everybody who's poor. That's the reality of this. The rich people are leaving
00:16:47.080 because they can, and it's easy. And the ones who can't, because maybe they're wealthy because they
00:16:50.980 have a law practice specifically for New York state. Well, they're not being hurt by this all
00:16:55.440 that much. Again, let me just lay this out. Let's say you have a hundred million dollars
00:17:01.680 and mom Donnie says, I am going to tax you at 20%. And you go, Oh, that's $20 million.
00:17:09.200 Well, I can't leave the state because all my money is made here, so it sucks and I'm pissed off,
00:17:14.080 but I have $80 million. Now let's say you make $100,000 and Mamdani says, I'm going to tax you
00:17:21.560 an additional 20%. You then say, uh, I'm only taking home 60. Now you're knocking me down to
00:17:29.160 80. I'm going to take home 47 after this. I need every dollar. I need every penny. Rent is expensive.
00:17:36.880 Yo, rent is $3,500 in some places of New York per month.
00:17:41.180 And if you're making $100K, you're taking home $60K,
00:17:43.760 you're talking about more than half of your income covering your rent.
00:17:48.780 If you make $100 million or if you have $100 million and you've got $80 after that,
00:17:54.820 you're going, oh, it's so annoying that I lost $20 million.
00:17:57.680 I could have done so much more than that with that money.
00:18:00.580 Well, I still only pay $20,000 a month and I've got $80 million, so what do I care?
00:18:06.760 Don't get me wrong.
00:18:07.340 Obviously, there are people who make like a million bucks a year, and they're trying
00:18:09.900 to charge them 20 grand on top of what they already pay.
00:18:12.300 So if you make like a million bucks, I think you end up taking home like 500K or a little
00:18:16.340 bit less, like half your money goes to taxes.
00:18:19.160 So here's the reality.
00:18:20.860 If you're living in New York and you're wealthy, your business at this level likely comes from
00:18:27.400 a more national enterprise.
00:18:31.140 That is, you don't personally need to be in New York.
00:18:33.920 If your business operates in New York and you run that business, just leave.
00:18:40.700 You just leave.
00:18:41.980 $20 million.
00:18:43.400 Like if they're actually going to tax you that much money, they don't.
00:18:45.600 I think it's like 10% or 13% total.
00:18:47.400 So it would be like $13 million if you're making $100.
00:18:49.580 I got to be honest.
00:18:50.880 Would you give that money away?
00:18:53.540 No.
00:18:54.620 Look, there's very few people who make that kind of money.
00:18:57.640 But if you're making $10 million a year and they're trying to take $1.3 million of your
00:19:02.820 check to be in New York City, you're going to be like, I would rather just fly in a private jet
00:19:07.800 every weekend or when I need to come to New York. The way New York does it is if you come to the
00:19:12.960 city more than half the year, they charge you income tax for the full year. So there are a lot
00:19:17.440 of ultra wealthy people that move to Florida and then they just fly up for business meetings when
00:19:21.160 they have to. But considering Zoom and all that, they don't anymore. Anyway, long story short,
00:19:25.540 otherwise I'm just ranting on this stuff. Mom Donnie is actually implementing policies that
00:19:30.140 just are gutting everybody. And here's my favorite. Here's, here's my absolute favorite
00:19:34.560 from Gothamist. New York city's $30 minimum wage proposal headed to city council. This is it.
00:19:41.680 This is the apocalypse guys. I am okay with a cultural standard for a minimum wage. I am okay
00:19:49.500 with it. Culturally, you have people who don't want to do certain jobs. So what do the Democrats
00:19:54.800 do? They say, bring in illegal immigrants because they do the jobs that we don't want to do. That's
00:19:58.300 not true. Anybody would be willing to do any job if the price was right. So they say, who's going
00:20:04.540 to clean your toilets? I got to be honest. You want to hire Tim Poole to come clean your toilet?
00:20:08.760 I got an hourly rate. I will absolutely clean a toilet for the right price. Not even a joke.
00:20:14.300 Now you may be saying, well, hold on there, gosh darn minute, Tim. Why would you? You're so
00:20:17.940 successful and wealthy and so busy. Yeah, sure. How much would you have to pay me to get me to
00:20:22.580 come clean your toilet? So if you lived locally and you wanted me to take time out of my day
00:20:27.600 to come and clean your toilet, it's probably going to cost you $400,000 to $500,000.
00:20:34.440 Yeah. You know why? Because I run a big company that generates eight figures in revenue and
00:20:40.300 actually multiple companies. So what is my time worth? Now, don't get me wrong. There are some
00:20:44.820 people that be like, I would never degrade myself that way. It's like, you know, for the most part,
00:20:49.060 yeah, sure. It's probably like realistically, if someone said they want me to come and scrub
00:20:54.020 their house clean, I'd be like, it's not happening. Like literally there's no amount of money. Well,
00:20:58.260 that's not true. $15 million done. I'll make your house look brand new personally by myself and with
00:21:05.940 a toothbrush. That's $15 million. I tell everybody watching guys, you know, things we can do with
00:21:10.620 $15 million. It's like, you know, almost a year of, a year of revenue for our company done in,
00:21:16.460 you know, a couple of days. I'll take it. Now, what about you? How much would it take for you
00:21:20.260 to clean a toilet? 30 bucks an hour? You might say yes. The only problem is these are culturally
00:21:25.920 enforced standards. The money has to exist. These people don't get it. I certainly hope, I beg,
00:21:31.920 and I pray that they do this. And I don't really mean it, but because I know it's really, really
00:21:36.280 bad for the city, but let me explain to you what happens. So we worked in New Jersey and I was
00:21:41.140 talking to an accountant. New Jersey passed a minimum wage increase and the accountant said
00:21:46.320 they lost 20% of their clients. It's really sad. So he said, here's the thing. They do a minimum
00:21:53.880 wage increase, but they say it's going to go up by increments, right? So six months, it'll go up
00:21:57.100 50 cents. Six months later, another 50 cents. Six months later, it's another 50 cents. The problem
00:22:02.460 is, say like a local pizza restaurant's operating on thin margins. The owner might only be taking
00:22:08.180 home $50,000 a year as the owner. So he's not by any means wealthy. You've now told him he is going
00:22:15.700 to have like a 17% wage increase overnight. He doesn't have the money in the account.
00:22:23.300 So what do they do? They fire everybody. They shut down. You can't just do this. You, it,
00:22:30.800 you know, like maybe what they would have to do is implement like a 2% food tax,
00:22:37.640 which would then go towards, uh, uh, payment grants to cover wages initially as the prices
00:22:45.220 seek to normalize. But really, really, it's just never going to work. A $30 minimum wage. Now,
00:22:51.540 there are some benefits to this. Don't get me wrong. In the short term, it'll be a nuclear
00:22:55.280 bomb in New York. But the people who are able to live and work as things normalize after the
00:23:00.000 destruction, if you're making $30 minimum wage in New York City, why would you want to work in
00:23:04.860 New Jersey? So what's going to happen is people are going to live in Jersey and take the bus into
00:23:10.120 New York to work at McDonald's for $30 per hour because that money will go a long way in Jersey.
00:23:15.220 It's a temporary stopgap over a long enough period of time.
00:23:18.660 This will affect every part of the country.
00:23:20.820 And the truth is minimum wage doesn't matter.
00:23:23.960 What matters is the value of labor and the value of labor is held internally within humans.
00:23:29.000 So if someone comes and says, I'm really good at cleaning floors, I'll say, I don't know,
00:23:33.180 need that twice a week.
00:23:35.680 What are you willing to pay for it?
00:23:37.280 I got to be honest, anyone can do it.
00:23:39.740 And so therein lies the challenge.
00:23:41.640 If 10 people line up and I'll say, I'll clean your floor, I say, let's take bids.
00:23:45.940 One guy says, I'll do it for 50 bucks.
00:23:47.720 The other guy says, I'll do it for 40.
00:23:49.120 I'll do it for 30, 20, 10, five.
00:23:51.300 I'll do it first time for free.
00:23:52.880 So you see how good I do it.
00:23:54.000 And then next time I'll charge you 20 bucks.
00:23:55.920 I say, done.
00:23:58.220 That's the problem with mass market competition of low skill labor.
00:24:02.220 Just saying, no, no, you have to give them $30.
00:24:04.940 It doesn't work.
00:24:06.220 It just does not work.
00:24:07.620 Now you've got 10 people all standing in line saying, I'd like to clean your floors this
00:24:11.120 time.
00:24:11.360 And I'd be like, well, I, you can't, you can't negotiate with each other.
00:24:13.500 You can't compete for the job.
00:24:15.060 Everybody has to get paid the same.
00:24:16.320 So what do I care?
00:24:18.060 Who's the best at it?
00:24:19.680 It doesn't work.
00:24:21.160 Now there are benefits, right?
00:24:23.860 Nationally by having a high standard, it's easy to buy imported products from countries
00:24:28.080 that don't have a high standard.
00:24:29.900 But I'll tell you this, the exodus is going to be massive.
00:24:33.120 My friends, New York state legislature supports increasing taxes on New York city's
00:24:37.360 wealthiest. And indeed, they're already leaving, and they're going to leave more because they can.
00:24:43.500 Guys, we operate at West Virginia. We are looking at potential new locations. It's nothing to do
00:24:50.100 with West Virginia for the most part. It's more about the success of the business. But the point
00:24:54.060 is, even though we've invested probably something like $15 or $20 million into the state or more,
00:24:59.440 um we can just up and leave whenever we want because we have money so if i was being told
00:25:09.300 like and west virginia's not doing this i love west virginia but uh it's more about the health
00:25:12.940 of the show and access to proper guests we've talked about people don't want to travel anymore
00:25:17.140 there's a lot more to it and other opportunities and ancillary businesses that we're trying to
00:25:21.080 expand there may be better locations unfortunately for for west virginia though we do love west
00:25:24.740 Virginia. We've got one of the best reps, Riley Moore. He's great. And so anyway, you take a look
00:25:30.640 at if I was in New York and they said, we're going to tax you more. I'd just be like, okay,
00:25:34.220 we're leaving. Why come? In fact, here's a funny thing. We've had companies reach out and ask,
00:25:39.380 would we be willing to do the show in New York? And there's sponsorship opportunities and guest
00:25:46.120 opportunities. And I said, yeah, it's never going to happen. The taxes are too high. We lose way
00:25:50.640 too much money and we don't gain enough by doing it. Texas? Pretty dang good. Florida? Pretty dang
00:25:58.420 good. Nevada even, because you got Vegas. A lot of celebrities coming and going. You could have
00:26:03.220 a fun show in Vegas. The socialist crime blueprint begins. NYC leaders pull back the curtain on
00:26:09.360 Mamdani's vision for public safety. He wants to slash the NYPD budget and revamp 9-1-1 response
00:26:15.700 as transit crime jumps, 18.5%. Oh, it's a video of a guy shoving another guy in front of a train
00:26:22.540 the other day. And apparently it happens a lot in New York now. It's pretty dang wild, isn't it?
00:26:27.840 How we've gotten to this point. Now I'm not going to have all the answers for you on what New York
00:26:31.820 should or shouldn't do for the most part. I can tell you that artificially increasing wages isn't
00:26:37.560 going to do anything. The argument they make is that, well, it's for big corporations. They can
00:26:41.620 afford it. Okay, let's play this game. You say, we're going to increase the minimum wage to $30,
00:26:47.100 but only if you have at least 100 employees or more. So that means McDonald's, Wendy's,
00:26:51.900 that means, you know, Taco Bell, whatever. Sure. Here's the problem. So if I get a job at Taco
00:26:58.080 Bell, I get paid 30 bucks an hour. But if I go work at mom and pop's pizza shop, I'm going to
00:27:02.220 get paid 15. I'm going to go work at Taco Bell. So what happens to mom and pop's pizza shop? They
00:27:06.660 go to business. They can't find any employees. Nobody wants to work there for dirt. The big
00:27:10.600 corporations, we're told, can afford it. They can afford it. They got so much money they can
00:27:15.060 afford to pay it. Yeah. Can mom and pop taco shop compete with Taco Bell taco shop? Indeed,
00:27:22.280 they cannot. So where do all the workers go? Now, don't get me wrong. Taco Bell may be very upset
00:27:27.300 that they got to pay an increased minimum wage and increased minimum wage. But in the end,
00:27:32.320 they can afford it, right? So they do. Everybody chooses to work for them instead. Nobody wants
00:27:37.040 to work at the small business that can't afford to pay well, they all quit and those businesses
00:27:40.600 go under and then everything becomes a corporate monopoly. And that is the world the left wants to
00:27:45.640 give you. They, you know, call it ignorance, short-term thinking, or otherwise, they don't
00:27:51.640 have a real plan in place. It's the unfortunate reality of all of this. All of this, you know,
00:27:59.880 we'll give you whatever you want. Socialist policy stuff. It just doesn't work. So my friends,
00:28:07.000 New York, I wish you the best, but, uh, defunding your police, raising taxes,
00:28:12.560 paying, charging for parking. I gotta be honest. Maybe it actually does have a positive effect
00:28:18.120 10 years from now, because things are going to get so bad that everybody flees.
00:28:22.360 Things start to, uh, become cheaper again, and there's no one left to rob.
00:28:26.780 and then someone like Trump
00:28:28.860 can come in and fix it once again.
00:28:30.720 Maybe Trump Jr.
00:28:32.020 But for everybody who remains,
00:28:34.740 Godspeed.
