00:00:50.560 Alright, well I wanted to bring you on here today.
00:00:52.460 obviously you are our white house correspondent for like the two people in the audience who don't
00:00:57.520 know who you are because you give a quick intro of who you are and what you do yeah so good
00:01:01.840 afternoon everybody i am tim cast white house uh wildly the dc correspondent here for tim cast i
00:01:07.440 also cover stuff at the pentagon and then here at the white house as well earlier today we actually
00:01:12.520 had a press briefing from the pentagon that i covered um secretary of war hexeth has been
00:01:17.380 holding two or three of these press briefings a week from the pentagon trying to update the
00:01:22.800 american people on what's going on in iran right during the third 13th day and then um when i'm
00:01:28.000 not there i i hang out here in the white house we're actually in the press room here this is
00:01:32.620 where caroline does her press briefings from the podium is behind me i think it's kind of cringe
00:01:38.660 when people go stand up and take pictures on there but that's what's happening most of the day when
00:01:42.880 she's obviously not here um president has a pretty light schedule today um 8 a.m they call it
00:01:48.520 executive time that's what he's been up to i think he was just watching the the briefing from the
00:01:52.700 pentagon and then he's also participating in a greeting with the national rodeo winners finals
00:01:57.960 so we're going to be expecting that sometime around three and it'll be departing probably
00:02:02.500 to mar-a-lago a little bit after that five or six okay interesting stuff so i guess this is a good
00:02:08.080 time to give the inside baseball how exactly do you pick up scoops while you're at the white house
00:02:12.600 You know, is it chatter from the other journalists? Is it stuff that's just kind of given on the record, but like not in a briefing?
00:02:19.120 How does that work? Because obviously, obviously, we always see scoops coming out from the White House.
00:02:23.320 And it's it's chatter with journalists. It's chatter with administration officials.
00:02:28.240 And then I feel like a lot of the journalism really happens outside of the White House and outside of the Pentagon.
00:02:34.520 And frankly, when people are leaking a lot of the times and doing a lot of this reporting, it's people with access to grind.
00:02:40.780 So, I mean, you are looking for the most disgruntled people in D.C., and those are the most likely people to talk.
00:02:46.720 So that's mostly how it goes.
00:02:48.800 But we do have a lot of opportunities to question the president and administration officials here.
00:02:53.360 The president has been extremely accessible.
00:02:55.460 He's taking questions from journalists two, three, four times a week.
00:02:59.520 guidelines having Secretary Leavitt, Press Secretary Leavitt, that is, is having briefings here at least once a week.
00:03:06.280 And it was actually just yesterday when the president – not yesterday, two days ago – the president went down a line of some 20-some-odd reporters taking his questions before the departure to Kentucky and Ohio, where he was visiting different centers, having a rally.
00:03:21.520 Interestingly enough, he actually visited the district of Representative Thomas Massey, which is one of the president's obviously least favorite representatives.
00:03:29.900 He's endorsed the challenger to him.
00:03:31.420 We'll see how that plays out, too.
00:03:32.660 So it's interesting stuff, you know, because, you know, we get all these scoops coming out of the White House now, obviously, like you said, a lot of people have axed to grind.
00:03:40.780 But with the Iran war, now you have a large contingent of the MAGA media, I would say, certainly the right wing media broadly, who is equally as interested in collecting scoops, who's equally, I guess, disgruntled, for lack of a better word.
00:03:53.980 We saw some reporting this morning that was getting passed around a few different outlets on the right.
00:03:58.140 that J.D. Vance was actually, you know, a bulwark against this war. You know, they were saying,
00:04:04.320 well, he's been very upset. And that kind of explains why he's been so quiet. But then,
00:04:08.780 you know, we had reporting earlier in the week that he was the one that actually said we should
00:04:11.180 just go all in on the strikes rather than like targeted strikes. So that to me, that seems like
00:04:15.700 that might be a scoop that was, you know, garnered or generated from the conservative media, if I had
00:04:21.280 to if i had to guess on the vice president i think he has a very delicate balancing act to do over
00:04:29.780 here we know in the past before becoming the president's vice president uh the president's
00:04:34.140 vp nominee and eventually the vp he was more of an isolationist voice among republicans um as he
00:04:41.560 became closer to the president i feel like he's been more concerned and more worried about signaling
00:04:46.200 against that um it's good that you asked this too because in the press briefing earlier today
00:04:51.220 hexath actually was asked about whether or not um you know um the vp was a voice against striking
00:04:57.580 or not and uh secretary hexath really said that he was completely on board and um but at the same
00:05:03.160 time you have to think what could you really expect um the vice president isn't going to
00:05:06.920 vocally be against um the president at this time so i i do think he has been noticeably absent though
00:05:12.740 those who are overactive on twitter like me and you we used to see um the vice president dunk on
00:05:17.780 people regularly on twitter he used to be very active on the website i don't think he's tweeted
00:05:21.560 something for the past couple of weeks um which is coincidentally roughly when the strike began
00:05:26.840 we also had some breaking news of um a fueler over iraq there were two of them one was damaged
00:05:34.960 and was able to safely land in israel and the other that apparently wasn't attacked but was
00:05:41.340 having some issues was uh found somewhere in iraq and i believe there's four or five or six
00:05:46.980 service members that were killed that um general kane and secretary of war hexath announced this
00:05:52.160 morning so the casualties are really starting to add up secretary hexath was also asked directly
00:05:57.560 how many casualties there were he didn't give a direct answer but i think with these additional
00:06:02.300 five or six from this most recent incident where we're in the mid-teens um as those add up that's
00:06:08.720 obviously applying more pressure to the administration we're also seeing gas prices
00:06:12.980 uh spike and i've been seeing a lot of reporting that the president has his eyes close on that
00:06:17.120 you know if you if you're familiar with a lot of the president trump rallies of the past he loves
00:06:21.220 talking about gas he loves talking about low gas prices and just two weeks ago he was talking about
00:06:25.360 how the national average was dipping under three dollars which is great yeah um but he hasn't been
00:06:29.780 talking about it much since now that i think the national average is hitting 360 i think he i think
00:06:34.880 he's also a message that in the future things will be even better and gas prices will go even
00:06:38.800 lower but we'll see how long the american people could deal with this real bump at the pump yeah i
00:06:43.900 mean look if it's a strategic move uh to get it down to 260 250 right before the midterms and
00:06:49.100 it's a genius play but if we're still hovering around 320 330 by the midterms we're cooked i
00:06:53.240 mean it's simple stuff like that and obviously that's the calculus that they're having to run
00:06:57.160 right now at the white house you may have seen the conversations happening online lately censorship
00:07:01.520 is back and it is happening everywhere. Platforms are controlling narratives and pushing the stuff
00:07:06.300 that they want us to see. We need to fight back, and Rumble is the only company that has stood the
00:07:11.480 test of time and deserves our support. On one side, Rumble is challenging big tech censorship,
00:07:16.880 but now on the other side, they have introduced something that will give us protection from the
00:07:20.480 big banks shutting us off. Banks can cancel our accounts and freeze our cards, so that is why
00:07:25.380 they have launched Rumble Wallet. A wallet that no one can cancel and a wallet that supporters
00:07:30.080 can use to instantly tip creators like us here at Timcast without any middleman taking
00:07:34.560 cuts.
00:07:35.300 With Rumble Wallet, you control your money, not a bank, not a government, not a tech
00:07:39.200 company, not even Rumble can touch it.
00:07:42.240 It's yours, only yours, yours to protect your future and family.
00:07:45.440 You can buy and save digital assets like Bitcoin, Tether Gold, and the new USAT, Tether's US
00:07:51.300 regulated stablecoin in one place.
00:07:53.420 Tether Gold is real gold on the blockchain with ownership of physical gold bars.
00:07:58.180 USAT keeps your money steady against inflation.
00:08:00.900 No banks needed.
00:08:02.220 It is not only a wallet to buy and save,
00:08:04.040 but it also allows you to support your favorite creators
00:08:05.700 by easily tipping them with the click of a button.
00:08:08.060 There'll be no fees when you tip this channel or others,
00:08:09.820 and this channel will instantly receive the tip,
00:08:12.900 unlike other platforms where we have to wait for payouts.
00:08:15.120 We hate that.
00:08:15.620 We hate waiting.

00:08:22.360 It is wallet.rumble.com.
00:08:24.000 Again, download the Rumble wallet today.
00:08:25.200 Open an account and step away from the big banks for good.
00:08:27.560 wallet.rumble.com or search Rumble Wallet in the app store. But what's interesting is we saw
00:08:32.660 headlines, again, earlier this week, Axios had a scoop that, you know, the White House had told
00:08:38.480 Congress to just stop talking about mass deportations. Another outlet had picked up
00:08:45.120 a similar sort of headline. Has there been any questions posited towards the administration
00:08:51.400 regarding this? Because I mean, obviously, this is kind of the issue for MAGA. I think MAGA has
00:08:56.120 the bandwidth to withstand any sort of deviation from the from the from the core messaging like
00:09:02.600 the iran war i think everyone's like still as long as it delivers on domestic policy it is what it is
00:09:06.520 deportation seems to be the one thing that i think people would really sour on the administration
00:09:11.360 over if that were to be sort of you know tampered down a bit definitely i think towards the definitely
00:09:17.700 in the beginning of the president's administration his main focus was immigration and he would be
00:09:21.860 asked and talked about it constantly yeah um i think ever since we saw um the killing of these
00:09:28.740 two agitators in minneapolis um renee good and alex preddy i believe was the second i think
00:09:35.820 that's really iced the president because i think he's become more concerned about the pr of all
00:09:40.300 this um we're obviously seeing that playing out with um dhs secretary former dhs secretary
00:09:45.460 christine known being swapped out um i think people also believe that she was in the position
00:09:50.560 in a very self-aggrandizing manner.
00:09:52.480 She spent something like 200 some odd million dollars
00:09:55.340 on advertisements bolstering herself
00:09:58.000 and not as much as the DHS and ICE message.
00:10:00.680 There's also questions on whether or not
00:10:02.340 Corinne Lewandowski, who was also working
00:10:04.300 with former Secretary Noem,
00:10:06.720 was having some bad dealings or whatnot.
00:10:08.880 So there are serious questions around that.
00:10:10.620 And there's also reporting that the president
00:10:11.880 is very frustrated with that.
00:10:13.580 But I think now that they are putting in
00:10:16.140 Mark Wayne Mullen, former senator,
00:10:19.120 i believe from missouri his confirmation will be coming up yeah sometime next week i do think that
00:10:25.160 shows a change in gear i think the president is struggling with the pr surrounding immigration
00:10:30.280 i think there's a spectrum of how it works you know americans are very supportive of deporting
00:10:35.580 illegal aliens who have gotten here in the past four years and have criminal records i think that's
00:10:40.180 something in the high 70s or 80s but then once you go to you know people who have been here for 30
00:10:44.560 years have no criminal record and have a family um less americans are sympathetic to that and
00:10:49.360 they were struggling for a while with the message of who's the priority and how are we going to go
00:10:54.000 after them are we going to have roving bands of um different border patrol agents with gregory
00:10:58.720 bovino who was also demoted by the way or are we going to go more of the tom homan route which
00:11:04.080 really likes to work uh collaborate with different cities they like to get into the jails they like
00:11:08.880 like to do early and late, early morning and late evening raids. So it's just a different
00:11:13.620 strategy. But how that pans out in a number of illegal immigrants detained is what's really
00:11:19.620 in flux. You know, they're not looking to do large workplace raids anymore, as I understand.
00:11:24.160 And just the methods that Homan, who has a ton of experience, Borgazar Homan, has a ton of
00:11:28.400 experience doing here. Will that be able to get to the promise of one million deportees a year?
00:11:33.180 You know, I'm not sure. And, you know, it's actually a very important question. Maybe the
00:11:36.500 Next time I get an opportunity with Press Secretary Caroline or the president himself, how close are you to reaching the goal of one million illegal supporters a year?
00:11:45.620 Yeah, I know.
00:11:46.160 I mean, because, you know, they're citing self-deportation numbers and the fact that we are at net negative migration.
00:11:51.000 OK, those are wins.
00:11:51.900 Those are big, big deals.
00:11:53.700 There's no question about it.
00:11:54.440 But obviously, you know, a lot of people in the base are saying, well, there's what, how many, 15, 20 million people out under Biden?
00:11:58.500 Like, let's let's get this moving.
00:11:59.740 But with that, I wanted to get you one more question out of you before we let you go.
00:12:03.740 um we're back kind of changing gears back to the to the iran situation has hegseth outlined any sort
00:12:10.480 of uh timeline on his end because obviously trump is saying well we might need a few more weeks this
00:12:14.940 could be wrapped up and there was a the head i think was out of the wall street journal yesterday
00:12:18.200 saying we two weeks additional two weeks of strikes has hegseth communicated anything of
00:12:23.420 the like regarding timelines so the administration is that they've had varied responses to this and
00:12:30.460 I think they're struggling with messages when it comes to this,
00:12:32.840 because one day the president says,
00:12:34.600 oh, we're going to be ending this in a couple of days.
00:12:37.080 Other times they said four or five weeks.
00:12:39.860 Secretary of War Hexth hasn't given the most clear outline.
00:12:43.360 He's just saying that our troops are being extremely successful
00:12:45.780 in decimating the Iranian military and navy and so on.

00:13:36.680 operates pursuant to an operating agreement with i gaming ontario he's really up there bragging
00:13:41.420 about our military successes but they haven't really explained a clear timeline for when they
00:13:48.260 want to wind this down early on they were saying four or five weeks we're currently a little less
00:13:52.480 than two weeks in so we'll see how this will play out but i think the concern is they don't want to
00:13:57.620 give a specific timeline and then have to do more time and then also if a timeline is given you'd
00:14:02.780 have to imagine that the iranian regime is also starting to understand that timeline so if i know
00:14:07.340 you're going to pull out in a month then i only need to last another month so i think the president
00:14:13.020 is not trying to give away all the strategic choices that they have they're also doing this
00:14:18.080 in regard to keeping um the boots on the ground option open although i don't think they ultimately
00:14:23.620 plan to i think they'd like to use that as leverage against um the regime right now to have them at
00:14:29.220 least think that's an option yeah absolutely and i i agree i mean i do think there's some
00:14:33.620 calculations being made here and honestly they don't have to disclose everything to us quite
00:14:37.580 frankly that's just the reality of the situation but just this one last thing on boots on the ground
00:14:41.100 yeah boots on the down on the ground is such a loaded and charged phrase when we say boots on
00:14:47.500 the ground. As I understand, we come to think of large scale operations a la Iraq and in a nation
00:14:54.440 building capacity or in Vietnam or something like that. I believe we currently have some special
00:15:00.320 operations forces on the ground. You'd have to assume Israel had some sort of special operations
00:15:05.300 people on the ground as well that we're not hearing about. But I think we get a little bit
00:15:09.900 too hung up on that phrase in particular. And I mean, obviously, the American people do have some
00:15:14.200 concern over this though with the nation building nightmares that um we've been through in the past
00:15:18.320 so there are a lot of options on the table some better than others but the president isn't and
00:15:22.760 his administration are trying to keep them all open yeah absolutely well a lot thank you so much
00:15:26.820 it's really cool having you come in live from the white house it's really yeah dude i hope to do
00:15:30.480 more live hits from here uh thank you guys for having me yeah dude well uh before we let you go
