00:16:51.480 uh knowingly and intentionally conspired to defraud the united states and to commit offenses against

00:16:59.480 and defeating its efforts to regulate and control the manufacturing distribution of steroids

00:17:03.800 within the united states code and violation title 18 united states code 371 that's the statute for um

00:17:09.720 conspiracy and then to introduce and deliver for introduction into interstate commerce with

00:17:13.560 intended to defraud and mislead drugs that were misbranded within the meaning of title 21 united

00:17:18.120 states code section 353 so um as you guys know title 18 is criminal and then title 21 is the drug

00:17:23.640 statutes okay um so yeah man he almost lost it all guys in the early 90s a lot of people don't know

00:18:12.040 he was a witness in the prosecution and he said that he administered um stories to him they used to

00:18:26.280 mcmahon from the charges what's what's the last name mcmahon uh so yeah so here we go in 1991

00:18:33.400 dr george zahorian uh a pennsylvania doctor had worked as a ringside doctor for the wwf had been

00:18:38.840 convicted of illegally supplying anabolic steroids at his trial it was revealed that zahorian had

00:18:42.760 supplied steroids to wwf and the wrestlers specifically to visit man's office at titan towers the wwf ceo

00:18:48.520 linda mcmahon married to vince has sent a memo in 1989 advising that so uh zahorian should not be uh be

00:18:55.160 used by the wf prior to his arrest and the trial on the grounds of suspicion of illicit steroids

00:18:59.160 distribution 1992 prior to being indicted mcmahon closed down the world bodybuilding federation that

00:19:03.800 he owned bam so um so zahorian he was cooperating with prosecutors and mcmahon was indicted in 1993

00:19:10.840 united states attorney for the eastern district of new york zachary uh w carter charged mcmahon

00:19:14.440 was conspiring to distribute steroids possession of legal steroids with intended to distribute and

00:19:18.680 embezzlement for allegedly using money from titan sports inc to purchase illegal steroids okay and

00:19:23.880 then uh prior to the trial mcmahon had lost a civil lawsuit brought by jesse the body ventura over

00:19:28.200 800 000 owed in royalties for ventura's color commentary on wwf programming the case was set

00:19:33.080 to be heard at the united states district court the for the eastern district of new york so um he went

00:19:37.480 to trial guys and he actually ended up winning uh and he ended up um boom so zahorian got sentenced three

00:19:43.560 years in prison um and then after the trial the wwf retained their drug testing policy brought in as a

00:19:49.960 result of the investigation even used it in their billionaire ted skits on wf programming to make

00:19:54.200 the point that wcw did not have one so you guys wonder yo um you know wwf has a pretty well wwe now

00:20:01.080 they have a pretty strict um anti-drug policy well it's because of this guys um like vince uh and mo you
