In this episode of Money Monday, Myron talks about credit, the Rob Reiner murder, and the Diddy Documentary. Also, we talk about a new segment called After Hours where Myron will be answering your questions!
01:15:28.360He was an American film director, producer, screenwriter, actor, and political activist.
01:15:31.600He began his career as an actor before transition in filmmaking, directing a series of acclaimed American studio films across multiple genres.
01:16:01.980Pamela, we have a big development here now.
01:16:04.280We can tell you that Nick Reiner, the 32-year-old son of Rob and Michelle Reiner, has been booked into a Los Angeles jail that happened on Monday, happened today, after his parents were found dead.
01:16:17.520Now, what is worth noting here is that it doesn't exactly say what he's charged with, but we do know that his bail has been set at $4 million, according to these jail records that we are seeing here, but still not clear on what has happened here.
01:16:36.080And family members are continuing to be interviewed as this investigation continues.
01:16:40.700But, obviously, this is a very large development here, that there has been an arrest booking into jail for this case, for the deaths of Rob and Michelle Reiner.
01:16:52.700And now learning that the person that who has been booked into jail is their 32-year-old son.
01:17:01.180That's an amazing development, indeed.
01:17:05.020I want to bring in our chief media analyst, Brian Stelter, who's joining us right now.
01:17:09.060Now, typically, guys, whenever homicides occur, right, the spouse is almost always the first, you know, is always the first person that the police suspect.
01:17:22.120But the fact that it's the son makes it even stranger.
01:18:20.820And that's something that Rob Reiner spoke about and was public about and was transparent about.
01:18:25.060In fact, the two men worked on a film together about 10 years ago.
01:18:29.100The film was titled Being Charlie, and it was loosely based on his son Nick's experiences earlier in life.
01:18:36.240Nick Reiner did not end up getting other screenwriting credits later.
01:18:40.100But they did come together for that collaboration about a decade ago.
01:18:43.460And Rob Reiner spoke very eloquently about learning about his son, about learning about Nick's struggles through that filmmaking.
01:18:50.600You know, this is why, guys, I tell you all the time, I truly do believe that one of the worst things that could happen for you as a man is coming from a rich family, dude.
01:19:02.440So, controversial take, very controversial take, but young men should not grow up wealthy, dude, at all, at all.
01:19:14.740You get to, you know, experience all the benefits, right, of being a man with none of the work.
01:19:22.900And it makes you an incredibly entitled, petulant, spoiled fucking brat that has no real appreciation for anything.
01:19:32.640I got a little bit of criticism the other day because I mentioned how, you know, Kaysenat is like a pussy.
01:19:40.840And because he went up, right, when he accepted an award and he said something about, like, hey, man, focus on your mental health, blah, blah, blah.
01:19:52.460Which, I understand the importance, right, to have mental health awareness for men, but he was referring it from the position of, like, being a streamer, right?
01:20:08.480And, quite frankly, I think if you have the privilege, keyword privilege, of making money on the internet to talk into a camera and a microphone, you should shut the fuck up and never complain about anything.
01:20:32.660The only way you're going to appreciate up is if you've been down.
01:20:36.260The only way you're going to appreciate life is if you've been in the dark.
01:20:40.340And, unfortunately, with this new generation of men, what I've realized is a lot of these guys don't want to be, you know, traditional masculine men.
01:20:50.240They want to be guys that, like, you know, oh, I want to be a streamer.
01:39:05.320Um, I, I don't know, but I, I, I, I think that, and you'll see it in the film.
01:39:11.180What happens is, uh, you know, your kid, if your kid is going through rough times, you, you know, the parent is your main job is to keep your child safe.
01:39:23.580I didn't, I even, I felt at a loss, so I would do anything that, as we say in the film, anybody with a desk and a diploma,
01:39:28.940I would listen to them and the whole idea of tough love and you have to be a certain way and I, it's not my nature.
01:39:34.940It's not the way I am built, but I went and did that, you know, and I think that, uh, you know, at the end of the day,
01:39:42.940I know my child better than an expert does and I probably should have trusted my own instinct and that's one of the things I did learn about the whole experience.
01:39:51.940I think the bonding came not from the story itself, but from the fact that we were working on a movie together and I could see him in his,
01:40:01.940I would think in the form that he could express himself the best, which is making movies because he has so much experience.
01:40:07.940And so seeing, I ain't gonna lie, bro looks crazy. He does look a little crazy chat.
01:40:12.940That sort of turned me around to be like, okay, I should probably, no, sorry, I'm responding.
01:40:17.940Also do me a favor guys smash that like button. We got 2,100 ninjas in here. Smash that like button for me.
01:40:24.940I think I'm going to leave for a Phoenix on Wednesday guys Wednesday.
01:40:28.940I'm pretty sure I'm going to be leaving for Phoenix going to be at America fest.
01:40:31.940It's going to be a good time. So I will be there for the majority of the week.
01:40:39.940This is probably shut up and listen to him because he knows a lot more about this.
01:40:43.940He knows any, I don't know anything. So I'll learn whatever he has to teach me.
01:40:48.940I just think that's such a fascinating thing.
01:40:50.940It's so crazy watching this interview after what, wow. Seeing this now is chilling.
01:40:55.940Imagine wanting to do everything you can to keep your child safe.
01:40:57.940And then they murder you and their mother too.
01:40:58.940We tell how much Rob loves Nick's in the video.
01:41:05.940You can see how hard Rob tries to reach out to him comments and constantly so sad to watch, bro.
01:41:10.940They say that like your, your father who you would always want to be at his best as your father may be a type of person who's at his best when he's making movies.
01:41:19.940And that makes him more understandable or relatable as a father to you, which is so fascinating to me.
01:41:24.940Yeah. It really clicked for me because we didn't bond a lot as a kid.
01:41:28.940Like he really liked baseball. I like basketball and he could watch that with my brother, but baseball.
01:41:34.940But I just, when I saw him do that and it was something that I'm interested in, I was like, wow, like he really knows a lot.
01:41:39.940And like, it made me feel closer to him and be like, yeah.
01:41:43.940You're like, wow, my dad's Rob Reiner.
01:41:45.940I never had thought about it and then.
01:41:48.940Yeah. It didn't cross your mind, right?
01:41:54.940But it's interesting that Nick would talk about it in that way because, yeah, we did share that experience.
01:42:02.940But, you know, even though I've had a lot of experience making movies, you know, and I said this to him many, many times that he was the heart and soul of the film.
01:42:12.940So when it came to making the film deeper and better, I would have to really defer to him.
01:42:21.940I mean, even though I have had all this experience in making films, the core of this film, I really had to look to him.
01:42:28.940I relied on him for giving it the honesty and the truth that it has.
01:42:34.940Did you work with him on set? Were you on set for the majority of the shooting?
01:54:09.940After the scene was secured, police launched a bomb disposal operation on Gamble Parade.
01:54:20.940A nearby vehicle was suspected of containing explosives.
01:54:23.940Several improvised explosive devices were found, secured and removed.
01:54:28.940Authorities later declared the shooting an act of terrorism, a targeted attack on Jewish Australians carried out on the first day of Hanukkah.
01:54:35.940There is no place for this hate, violence and terrorism.
01:54:40.940And obviously, the Israeli government wasted no time trying to use this tragedy to push the Hasbara.
01:54:49.940Netanyahu told the Prime Minister of Australia, this is what, you know, this is what happens when you recognize a Palestinian state.
01:54:58.940A bunch of Zionists, oh, Muslim terrorism once again, blah, blah, blah.
01:55:02.940Right? Even though a Muslim ended the conflict, ended the shooting.
01:55:06.940Right? Or it saved a bunch of lives during said shooting.
01:55:40.940Like this is almost like they're 9-11.
01:55:42.940And help them get through this incredibly difficult period.
01:55:46.940Police believe the attack had been planned for months.
01:55:48.940Both gunmen were carrying ammunition dump pouches, allowing them to reload quickly.
01:55:53.940Sources said the men were waving away other citizens before firing in the direction of the hunting crew.
01:55:58.940Yeah, which is crazy because like there were people filming from the side that said, hey, get out of here.
01:56:01.940And they just purposely were just shooting at the beach, which is strange.
01:56:05.940There appeared to be red shotgun shell casings scattered on the ground along with thinner metallic casings that look like those used in hunting style rifles.
01:56:13.940Police have since revealed the father had a gun license for about 10 years and was in possession of six firearms.
01:56:20.940Australia has some of the world's strictest gun laws.
01:56:23.940Firearms must be registered and owners.
01:57:34.940And the result is the horrific attacks on Jews we saw today.
01:57:38.940We send our warmest strength from here, from Jerusalem.
01:57:42.940And we repeat our alerts time and again to the Australian government to seek action and fight against the enormous wave of anti-Semitism which is plaguing Australian society.
01:57:54.940The day after the shooting, Jewish community leaders in Australia revealed they had been warned by police not to open their doors as a safety measure.
01:58:01.940Overnight, the death toll continued to rise.
01:58:04.940More than a dozen were killed, including a rabbi with a two-month-old child, a Holocaust survivor, a ten-year-old girl, and travelers from France and Israel.
01:59:43.940There were a couple of those guys, them boys, they got caught in Australia for drawing swastikas and other anti-Semitic slash Nazi phrases and symbols on synagogues.
02:00:05.940To perpetuate this hysteria that anti-Semitism is on the rise in Australia.
02:00:12.940A couple of them got caught doing that shit, bro.
02:00:14.940And the Mossad has been doing this for a while, for those of you that are unaware.
02:00:19.940After the state of Israel was created, 1948, a lot of Israelis went to places like Iraq and other Muslim countries and purposely did false flag attacks against the Jewish Arabs that lived there so that they would flee to Israel.
02:00:46.940That undercover Israelis would do false flags in Arab countries to fear monger the Jews that have lived there in peace for centuries to go to Israel.
02:01:00.940But no one ever wants to talk about that.
02:01:05.940I don't understand the actions that have happened.
02:01:07.940And I don't know if I got time tonight, but I'm going to do a big, deep dive on all the Hezbar that's been going on, guys, because there's a huge side going on.
02:01:15.940I'm not saying this shooting here in particular is a 100 percent side up, but there's a bunch of other things going on that we need to kind of bring into focus.
02:01:23.940And I'm going to gather all the evidence for you guys, probably going to cover it tomorrow in explicit detail because I'll have more time.
02:01:28.940But for now, we're just going to cover the.
02:01:31.940The shooting in general with the official narrative.
02:01:35.940I cannot give a running commentary on the investigation.
02:01:39.940I want to give the investigators time to work through this properly.
02:01:42.940The day after the shooting, Jewish community leaders in Australia revealed they had been warned by police not to open their doors as a safety measure.
02:02:05.940Sydney Muslim leaders said they will refuse to perform Islamic funeral rites or receive the bodies of the Bondi terrorists.
02:02:11.940The killing of innocent people is never acceptable.
02:02:13.940Saying they don't see the offenders as real Muslims.
02:02:14.940They also said the Muslim community was on a high alert and would not be.
02:08:57.940Let me see if there's any other chats.
02:08:58.940Let me see if there's any other chats.
02:09:00.940Not only did they do a false flag graffiti on synagogues.
02:09:15.940They try to put the blame on the Iranian government, which made the Australian government dedicate them to the terrorist organizations a few months ago.
02:10:39.960actually no r r r r2 d2 debt that's what it was my bad
02:10:52.280r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r n
