Because a while ago, I had seen something that a journalist said that Terry Fox didn't actually do all that he said that he was going to do.

So I want to introduce you guys to the Canadian journalist, Doug Collins.

And first, I just want to show you a picture of him.

But anyways, if you if you go down to the part over here, it says, in 1980, during Terry Fox's Marathon of Hope, Doug Collins wrote a story falsely claiming that rather than running a daily marathon, Terry had actually been driven in a car across Quebec.

First, I had to check out the credibility of this journalist here.

Now, if you go to the top, you could see just from this byline at the top, it says, Doug Collins, born September 20th, died on September 29, 2001, was a British born Canadian journalist.

He was also a Holocaust denier who was frequently accused of racism and anti-Semitism.

OK, so this is a guy who doesn't pull any punches.

He's not afraid to go after controversial subjects.

He says, during his four years as a prisoner of war.

He was able to escape from a German POW camp and stealthily made his way to Hungary.

Anyways, he ends up moving to Canada in 1952, and he does a lot of investigative journalism where he exposes other people with wartime hoax stories.

So I guess that eventually led him in 1980 to uncovering the alleged Terry Fox deception.

But also, also, later on in his career, so he was working at many different British newspapers and had a lot of regular columns.

And in the 90s, he wrote an op-ed or a couple op-eds about Schindler's List, in which he called it Swindler's List, and had some choice things to say about that.
