00:00:56.000 Glenn Beck is on, Glenn Beck is on
00:01:00.880 The fusion of entertainment, enlightenment, and empowerment
00:01:16.620 This is the Glenn Beck Program
00:01:21.700 Glenn Beck is on
00:01:23.320 Well, hello, America. It's not Glenn. It's Justin Barclay in for Beck today on the Glenn Beck program on this eve of such a such a big day.
00:01:39.020 The 250th birthday, you can kind of feel the history like like you can feel the air in D.C. right now.
00:01:47.220 it's it's thick uh in new york city where thermostats are dutifully set at 78 degrees
00:01:56.780 even in the cnn studios wait a minute we'll get to that coming up we're at the crossroads
00:02:03.440 traffic's heavy let's get to it in today for glenn on the glenbeck program back with all of it and
00:02:09.500 More after this.
00:02:14.260 When you sign your company's insurance policy, for some brokers, that's the finish line.
00:02:21.060 Handshake, commission, done.
00:02:22.580 We'll see you again a year later.
00:02:24.320 Time for renewal.
00:02:25.400 What do you say we play golf?
00:02:26.800 Your business runs all year and the gaps and the risk run all year too.
00:02:30.660 That's why I'm introducing SuperSure.
00:02:32.340 If your company has more than 25 employees, whether you're the owner, CFO, or HR manager,

00:02:57.200 Plus, a business value calculator,
00:02:59.280 so you can estimate what your business is actually worth,
00:03:01.600 so you know what you actually need to protect.
00:03:03.980 So go to supersure.com slash back right now.

00:03:12.160 slash back. Paid for by Supersure Insurance Agency, LLC, a licensed insurance agency.
00:03:20.660 Yes, you can feel it. It is. I just sitting thinking about today. And I mean, this
00:03:28.700 It has the temptation to feel like any other
00:03:35.720 Any other sort of July 4th
00:03:40.420 Independence Day weekend, but it's not
00:03:42.340 And we can't lose sight of that
00:03:43.540 By the way, this is kind of by design
00:03:45.220 Everything that should be America 250
00:03:48.680 Is it?
00:03:52.400 It's America 250 light
00:03:54.240 It's the 1776
00:03:56.060 to, well, the bicentennial
00:03:59.180 1976, kind of like
00:04:01.160 light.
00:04:04.340 It's there,
00:04:05.640 but it isn't.
00:04:07.280 And by the way, all of that is by
00:04:09.300 design. It's why we're at the
00:04:11.140 crossroads we're at
00:04:12.720 today. Justin Barkley
00:04:15.440 in for Glenn today on the Glenn Beck program.
00:04:17.520 By the way, I'm all over social media
00:04:19.640 and every place
00:04:21.740 at justinbarkley.com, at
00:04:23.380 Mr. Justin Barkley. Love to stay
00:04:25.540 connected with you and give you a chance to join us through the program today.
00:04:29.300 But this is a moment in time
00:04:33.540 that should, it should be
00:04:37.500 obvious, and yet I don't think it is.
00:04:43.060 I mean, just imagine, 250 years 0.73
00:04:45.840 ago, a bunch of wig-wearing rebels 0.91
00:04:49.340 in Philadelphia signed their lives
00:04:53.780 on the line, a document that basically told the King of England,
00:04:58.520 thanks, but we'll take it from here.
00:05:01.820 That's a polite way to put it.
00:05:04.040 It was their death warrant.
00:05:06.360 You know, and I know, we've heard this story over and over again,
00:05:09.640 but 250 years later, I think America's life or death is in our hands yet again.
00:05:19.380 those rebels declared that all are created equal even today that's sort of a radical idea because
00:05:30.780 you know some are more equal than others as we've learned through the past most recent years
00:05:36.420 we're endowed by our creator with unalienable rights to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness
00:05:46.160 Plus, apparently, you know, pursuit of really good barbecue doesn't hurt either.
00:05:52.200 And questionable fireworks decisions are going to happen this weekend, too.
00:05:56.480 But let's not lose sight of what really matters.
00:06:00.540 250 years ago, they built a republic to protect individuals from the state.
00:06:06.720 Not the other way around.
00:06:08.240 And as we gear up today for that big 250th party, the fireworks are ready, barbecue, ready to go on the grill.
00:06:23.720 But the question really is, what kind of country are we handing off to the next generation?
00:06:31.180 yeah we're at the crossroads and traffic is terrible as usual
00:06:38.900 one path the classic american route limited government free enterprise
00:06:46.520 really freedom those constitutional guard rules that keep government out of your life
00:06:53.300 and keep your life intact and moving so you can raise your family the way you best see fit without
00:07:00.960 other people getting involved in monkeying and your business.
00:07:04.940 It's chaos.
00:07:05.960 Beautiful chaos, though.
00:07:08.420 Individuals chasing their dreams.
00:07:10.760 That's what the American dream means, by the way.
00:07:13.820 The opportunity to do that.
00:07:17.340 Not the guarantee of your success or the outcome, but the opportunity that you have
00:07:22.160 to actually be able to go out and do it.
00:07:25.760 That's why this is the greatest country in the history of the world
00:07:31.200 There will never be anything like it
00:07:33.400 Sometimes we succeed spectacularly
00:07:37.600 Sometimes we invent the pet rock
00:07:41.840 Although that was a pretty big invention
00:07:45.800 I see how that went
00:07:47.060 It's not bad
00:07:48.140 Probably still getting paid on it today
00:07:50.980 The other path
00:07:51.780 a shiny new vision
00:07:54.440 where government fixes everything.
00:07:56.920 But it's anything but new, folks.
00:08:02.120 Oh, they promise you just hand over
00:08:04.300 a little more control,
00:08:06.220 a few more taxes, 0.86
00:08:08.260 and maybe your dessert menu.
00:08:11.400 And today we know your thermostat
00:08:13.360 in New York City, of all places.
00:08:16.600 As we're watching this play out right now,
00:08:19.000 and I know it's tempting,
00:08:20.100 I want to laugh at this too,
00:08:21.280 because it is. It's darn right hilarious. But at the same time, this is serious business because
00:08:31.180 it's your thermostat today. What else tomorrow? If they can control, and they certainly will do
00:08:38.360 their best to attempt this. If they can control your thermostat, they can control any and every
00:08:46.040 part of your life. Now, remember
00:08:47.840 today, Kame Mom
00:08:50.020 Dami and the rest of the folks in
00:08:51.700 New York City are asking politely, but
00:08:53.820 tomorrow, once they fully
00:08:55.960 have the capability to do it,
00:08:57.840 and we're not far off,
00:09:00.840 they'll quit asking.
00:09:04.260 They'll tell you.
00:09:05.700 This is how it's going to be.
00:09:07.540 And to every business owner, please set
00:09:09.600 your thermostats to 78 degrees
00:09:11.580 to alleviate the stress on our
00:09:13.580 power grid. Oh, oh, to alleviate
00:09:15.700 the stress so why do we have stress on the power grid i don't know maybe i just maybe maybe if i
00:09:24.800 just take a wild stab at this in the dark literally that's what new york city's got to be before it's
00:09:32.380 all said and done with if if they keep all of this up but i maybe it has something to do with
00:09:38.720 the same thing these very saviors now the people who say we're here to help we're the government
00:09:42.760 We're here to help you.
00:09:44.560 Maybe it has something to do with what they were pushing not too long ago.
00:09:49.500 Maybe if we weren't turning off coal plants under Biden and Obama.
00:09:57.860 Maybe if we weren't out there pushing wind, solar, and unicorn farts.
00:10:03.440 How dare you?
00:10:04.960 Green pipe dream.
00:10:06.740 Maybe.
00:10:07.520 Maybe.
00:10:07.960 Oh, maybe we'd be fine.
00:10:09.500 We worried about this.
00:10:10.540 You know, through the days of, look, folks, this is getting bad,
00:10:14.500 and this is before you plug in your Tesla.
00:10:16.960 But now the data centers are on the way.
00:10:23.660 And just wait.
00:10:25.080 Hey, by the way, you know, you're hearing 78 in New York City.
00:10:29.200 I can guarantee you where it ain't 78.
00:10:31.560 Well, it ain't 78 in my studio.
00:10:33.400 I can tell you that much right now.
00:10:36.080 And it ain't 78 in CNN's studio as well.
00:10:39.160 There's a little exchange that happened last night.
00:10:41.560 Abby Phillips and Ben Ferguson.
00:10:43.560 A bizarre hill to die on, Ben.
00:10:46.580 I don't understand this.
00:10:48.040 Do you support it?
00:10:50.200 Ask Nikki Haley.
00:10:51.260 No, I'm asking you, like, do you think, like, when you saw that, you're like, hell yeah. 0.97
00:10:54.060 Let me walk over there and knock that number up to 78.
00:10:56.220 Let me ask you a question.
00:10:58.140 Is Nikki the Republic of South Carolina obviously safe?
00:11:05.000 It's 78 there, a lot.
00:11:06.480 It's 78 there, a lot.
00:11:07.500 And Ben, don't you live in Texas?
00:11:11.180 I live in Texas, and there's no way in hell we're putting it on 78 degrees.
00:11:15.500 By the way, just to be clear, it's not 78 degrees in here right now, either.
00:11:19.900 Like, no one's going to buy that.
00:11:25.740 It's not 78.
00:11:27.360 Oh, but isn't this the beautiful picture?
00:11:30.460 Isn't this really it?
00:11:31.900 But this is exactly how socialism, communism, Democrats like things.
00:11:44.100 But I repeat myself.
00:11:45.180 This is exactly what they want.
00:11:49.840 You know, we've seen it recently in the past weeks, in fact.
00:11:53.880 Candidates out there pimping that new, brand new, sparkly, shiny new object.
00:11:59.800 We got all your problems fixed today.
00:12:04.080 They're waving the Democratic Socialist banner,
00:12:07.020 and they're racking up wins in the big city primaries, local races,
00:12:10.860 congressional as well.
00:12:12.500 They're promising in the world equity, free stuff for all,
00:12:16.300 and a system that finally works for the people,
00:12:18.860 and some even flirt with some of these older collectivist ideas.
00:12:24.360 It sounds great in college seminars,
00:12:26.320 but less great when the bread lines
00:12:30.060 form
00:12:30.480 look I get the appeal
00:12:33.680 after a long week
00:12:35.300 who wouldn't want someone else to handle the rent
00:12:38.060 the health care
00:12:39.720 the student loans
00:12:41.020 it's like asking your mom
00:12:44.020 to do your laundry forever
00:12:45.260 eventually though that pile just
00:12:47.920 gets bigger
00:12:48.580 and she starts charging interest
00:12:51.680 and that's what's going to happen in this case as well
00:12:54.260 that bill's going to come
00:12:56.120 do. Some of these folks, maybe
00:12:59.980 their intentions come from a good place, but many of them
00:13:02.620 not. They know exactly what this is.
00:13:09.900 We can't forget
00:13:11.100 there are real reasons why young people are signing up
00:13:15.980 for this. There are real reasons why Americans
00:13:19.980 are saying, you know what, that kind of sounds good to me. And
00:13:22.820 And much of it, much of it is the indoctrination that's taken place, the all-out ignorance that's being bred in the schools and unfortunately the colleges where you send your kids off to be indoctrinated and strapped and loaded up with student debt.
00:13:40.040 But there's another truth that we're not necessarily being honest about, coming to terms with, grasping all the way, here on the right specifically, and we ought to.
00:13:58.840 In fact, you know, the truth has set you free right through it, right straight through it is the way.
00:14:04.700 And folks, in order to move this country in the direction it was intended to move.
00:14:20.620 Not only we got to look back in the last 250 years, particularly to the nation's founding.
00:14:29.060 Why we're here.
00:14:30.880 how did we get here
00:14:35.160 the truth about where we came from
00:14:38.540 all of those things are so important
00:14:40.580 and yes we must decide now and forever
00:14:45.460 where it is that we want to go
00:14:46.940 where it is that the founders
00:14:53.000 intended us
00:14:55.600 but most importantly i think in all of this we can't deny we must address where it is we are
00:15:06.060 right now so as you're working on the grill maybe you're getting things ready to go to the pool the
00:15:13.140 lake you're hanging out with the family no matter what it is you're doing today
00:15:17.300 let's get real let's do just that coming up as we continue on the glennbeck program you can join
00:15:28.480 us today 888-727-BECK that's 888-727-BECK Justin Barkley and for glenn today on the glennbeck
00:15:36.360 program back with more truth logic and common sense right after this all right inflation fears
00:15:43.540 are back as the treasury yields now hit their highest levels in nearly 20 years. What does
00:15:48.800 that mean for your money? What does that mean for your retirement savings? What does that mean for
00:15:52.820 your quality of life in retirement? You know, Reagan famously said, inflation is as violent
00:15:58.340 as a mugger, as frightening as an armed robber, as deadly as a hitman. Now, I always listen to
00:16:04.700 Ronald Reagan. You should too. Learn how you can help protect your savings and hedge your money

00:16:32.100 Call now, 855-815-GOLD, 855-815-GOLD.
00:16:38.500 One more time, 855-815-GOLD.
00:16:48.940 All right, so the truth is, you know, we must recognize the elephant in the room.
00:16:58.600 America's 250, and you're watching right now on the celebration on the mall and what's happening in Washington, D.C.
00:17:14.760 There's just sort of a lackluster response to something that's so monumental, something that's so incredible.
00:17:22.500 I've never seen anything like this before.
00:17:24.640 Of course, we've never ever been here before.
00:17:28.600 But in cities all across the country, we're seeing issues where things really just aren't being celebrated the way they should.
00:17:35.620 You're just not seeing it in branding and marketing in a lot of ways used like they did in 1976, Spirit of 76.
00:17:42.140 You know, look at the old commercials and the way they used to.
00:17:47.020 Everything was a focus, major focus.
00:17:52.140 Eh, not so much anymore.
00:17:54.780 It's a big deal.
00:17:55.740 So it's everything from the marketing, the branding, the propaganda, let's call it around, and that's good and bad, around this moment.
00:18:06.120 But the propaganda against this moment is just as big of an issue.
00:18:18.200 Let's address the elephant in the room.
00:18:20.820 You have a generation right now 1.00
00:18:23.740 For the first time 0.98
00:18:24.740 I think it's Generation X 0.99
00:18:26.000 The first time 1.00
00:18:26.820 After the boomers here 1.00
00:18:28.800 Who stand to do worse off 1.00
00:18:30.820 Than the generation before them 1.00
00:18:32.280 I'm not worried about Generation X 1.00
00:18:35.340 Though Gen X 0.99
00:18:36.080 Pretty 1.00
00:18:36.780 They're pretty solid when it comes to
00:18:41.480 Being able to
00:18:43.440 Take a hit
00:18:44.760 And keep on going
00:18:46.600 But the generation behind them 1.00
00:18:49.460 Millennials are having issues with everything. 0.98
00:18:53.640 And part of that is the reason the way they grew up. 0.99
00:18:59.140 These folks are entitled.
00:19:02.020 I think they might only be second only to some of the boomers.
00:19:08.880 Now, if you're a boomer, you're hearing that.
00:19:10.320 I'm not talking about you, obviously.
00:19:12.720 But you know the ones.
00:19:17.900 Inequality is real.
00:19:19.460 Folks, costs are high.
00:19:22.920 This is how they see the world.
00:19:27.980 But here's the point.
00:19:30.340 It's harder to buy a home.
00:19:32.800 These kids are saddled with debt.
00:19:35.120 A lot of it's student debt.
00:19:36.320 And that brainwashing they got in those schools we talked about earlier.
00:19:41.240 A lot of this isn't their fault.
00:19:43.060 in fact
00:19:49.380 they don't even realize
00:19:54.060 what they're going through
00:19:54.940 they weren't taught about history
00:19:57.300 so when something like socialism
00:19:59.580 is sold to them
00:20:03.700 they have no context
00:20:06.060 for even understanding that
00:20:09.280 I realize it's a few years back
00:20:10.660 and the word communism and commie and communist kept coming up.
00:20:17.900 And to me, you know, I'm old enough.
00:20:20.380 That's a bad word.
00:20:22.200 You know, I grew up with Reagan.
00:20:23.700 I watched all of this.
00:20:25.100 The Cold War is something I grew up understanding.
00:20:29.960 I watched the wall fall.
00:20:31.980 I don't think any of these folks, any of these kids are being taught,
00:20:35.840 particularly the millennials, they're not being taught about any of this.
00:20:38.560 They have no idea what any of this means.
00:20:41.400 They weren't alive when September 11th happened.
00:20:44.740 So when you see sort of that red-green alliance that's permeating a lot of the social media,
00:20:53.560 none of it means anything to them.
00:20:59.780 History keeps sending us the same group text right now, folks.
00:21:03.420 large scale socialism
00:21:05.440 and communism experience
00:21:07.260 they usually end
00:21:09.760 with more bureaucrats 0.91
00:21:11.780 than bread
00:21:12.800 and fewer people
00:21:15.200 smiling in that bread line
00:21:17.100 from the Soviet Union to Venezuela
00:21:18.760 the results have always been the same
00:21:20.280 let's just say it's not great
00:21:23.820 meanwhile our messy
00:21:24.840 system that we have right now
00:21:27.200 the capitalist system
00:21:28.120 guess what it ain't working either
00:21:29.560 crony capitalism isn't working
00:21:33.100 But it is the best we got
00:21:36.980 So we gotta make repairs
00:21:40.000 We gotta get the road back on track
00:21:44.260 We gotta get the train rolling
00:21:45.820 Here we are in 2026 standing at that crossroads
00:21:51.260 Choosing between the system that turned a bunch of colonies
00:21:55.360 Into the world's most innovative engine ever
00:21:58.260 And the one that keeps promising utopia
00:22:00.960 right after just one more five-year plan it's life or death folks and it's serious business
00:22:09.820 more that we'll attend to after this bottom of the hour break let's choose wisely let's keep the
00:22:16.260 public weird free and occasionally brilliant folks as america celebrates its 250th anniversary
00:22:22.420 this milestone is also a time to reflect on the enduring relationship between the u.s and israel
00:22:28.520 our greatest ally. President John F. Kennedy once said, Israel is not created in order to
00:22:33.520 disappear. Israel will endure and flourish. These words captured the spirit of a young democracy
00:22:40.360 determined to survive. Two nations, thousands of miles apart, yet united by a shared value of
00:22:47.040 democracy, faith, freedom, and resilience. That's flagpinifcj.org. As America celebrates 250 years
00:22:55.560 of Independence, the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, turns to God in prayer,

00:23:49.240 This Independence Day weekend,
00:23:51.580 And celebrate America's 250th birthday with Glenn Beck and the American Story.
00:23:57.540 A three-hour journey from shipwrecks and wilderness wars to revolution, rebellion, and the birth of a nation.
00:24:04.700 Don't miss the American Story this Independence Day weekend with Glenn Beck.
00:24:10.520 Well, don't lose a finger or this republic if you can keep it this weekend, folks.
00:24:18.000 And how do you do that?
00:24:19.900 One of the ways that we continue to make sure that we enjoy the freedoms that are enshrined, therefore, in the Constitution given us by God is to continue to educate, to spread the news, the good news, that is, on what's going on.
00:24:40.020 And by the way, because it's not being taught in the schools, these stories, you're not going to hear.
00:24:45.940 In fact, we've got some of them coming up through the show today as we celebrate Europe for America 250 on the eve of the big celebration in that day.
00:24:55.740 Justin Barkley in for Glenn today on the Glenn Beck program.
00:24:58.640 Justin at JustinBarkley.com.
00:25:00.960 Love to hear from you on the email questions, comments, concerns.
00:25:03.460 888-727-BECK.
00:25:06.580 Complaints, take a number.
00:25:07.820 We'll keep rolling.
00:25:09.120 But the Glenn Beck podcast special, the series on the torch right now, is called The American Story.
00:25:16.320 This thing is geared, specifically created for moments like this and for you to share with your family,
00:25:25.720 whether you get all around and watch it this weekend or take it in,
00:25:32.100 or you pass it off as folks go their separate ways in the group chat.
00:25:38.240 Let them know.
00:25:39.800 It is a recounting of the stories that built America,
00:25:43.620 and many or most Americans don't even know.
00:25:45.700 This weekend, you'll be able to hear some of the excerpts from the series
00:25:50.300 and some of that.
00:25:53.120 By the way, here's just a little bit of it.
00:25:56.020 If a third of young people in the nation are cool with communism,
00:26:00.580 far too many Americans have completely lost the plot.
00:26:04.000 We don't know the basics of our own American story.
00:26:06.380 We don't understand the principles that birthed this nation.
00:26:09.200 We don't understand our freedom and why it requires constant protection.
00:26:14.040 We need to reconnect with our national story.
00:26:19.140 And that's what I want to do today.
00:26:21.020 Wherever you are, whoever you're with, however you're celebrating this incredible birthday milestone,
00:26:26.780 I hope you'll take this moment to rediscover America's story.
00:26:30.340 To do that, you can check out the American story on thetorchclenbeck.com.
00:26:39.100 All right.
00:26:39.780 Back after it, folks.
00:26:41.720 This is part of what we're up against at the crossroads is understanding where it comes from.
00:26:50.720 My friend Jim Simpson is the author of Manufactured Crisis, The War to End America Crisis.
00:26:55.440 Now.net, by the way, he has been knee deep in this stuff for decades.
00:26:59.260 And we are now just starting to sort of see really the fruit of the communist takeover and what was laid the groundwork years ago.
00:27:09.260 Jim joins us now on the Glenn Beck program.
00:27:11.780 Welcome, Ed, Jim.
00:27:13.500 Hey, Justin.
00:27:14.700 Great to be with you.
00:27:15.900 You know, we're watching this play out, brother.
00:27:18.580 We're seeing it happen now with these so-called socialists, these Democrats, communists, I really believe.
00:27:25.700 But I repeat myself.
00:27:26.780 Here we are seeing them win these seats, and it's because these ideas are popular.
00:27:33.980 Mostly they're popular because these kids just have no idea that people that are voting for the shiny new object have no idea the history of it all.
00:27:43.360 Yeah, no, that's exactly right.
00:27:45.880 it and that was part of the plan all along also you know for the uh communist college professors
00:27:55.560 to uh infiltrate the universities throughout the united states and to um
00:28:02.680 indoctrinate our kids into believing that the most monstrous, hideous,
00:28:18.920 mass-murdering ideology ever created by man is a cool thing.
00:28:27.360 They just don't have the background.
00:28:30.740 They don't have the history to know.
00:28:32.680 that any of these things happened, though, Jim.
00:28:35.600 I mean, I shudder to think as I watched it.
00:28:39.240 You know, we just talked about this, but I saw the wall fall.
00:28:42.820 I mean, we went through September 11th.
00:28:44.980 Some of these kids weren't even alive then.
00:28:46.640 And we've got this red-green alliance that Glenn talks about quite a bit.
00:28:51.560 And we're watching it all come to fruition right now.
00:28:56.260 Yeah, I know.
00:28:57.180 That's exactly right.
00:29:00.100 Exactly. 0.96
00:29:00.580 Actually, my next book is going to be titled The Red-Green Axis 3.0, America, Wake Up or Die. 0.94
00:29:11.020 It is, unfortunately, life or death. 0.91
00:29:14.380 I mean, that's as serious as it is.
00:29:16.140 Look, I understand we want to celebrate, we want to have a great weekend, and we're going to do that today, too.
00:29:21.940 But I think it's clear we must be keenly aware of what we're up against
00:29:29.120 and how far back this goes.
00:29:34.860 There's these clips of Yuri Bezmenov, this guy from the KGB years ago.
00:29:39.580 I don't know if you're familiar with this, Jim.
00:29:41.020 I'm sure you are.
00:29:41.740 But they talk about the demoralization campaign and what has the seeds that have been sown in this, in our culture, in our educational system, in every single one of the institutions.
00:29:58.480 And they have been planning this takeover, not from, you know, the shores, not externally, but internally in our country for decades.
00:30:10.900 Yeah, well, about almost 100 years.
00:30:15.680 You're right about this, and it's something that I don't think people understand.
00:30:21.000 Take me back to 100 years ago.
00:30:25.680 Okay, so, well, I mean, I guess, you know, there's just, you could pick any point in time,
00:30:35.220 But probably the most turnkey point was when the School for Social Research in Frankfurt, Germany was created in 1923, which was titled that to make it sound like an interesting institution.
00:31:05.220 educational opportunity, but it was basically all communist. It was developed with the oversight
00:31:21.580 and some money from the communist international with Lenin's personal permission. Vladimir Lenin,
00:31:30.200 And that is the first leader of the Soviet Union, for those who don't know.
00:31:40.800 And money from Herman Weill, who was a young, spoiled, rich kid of a German industrialist.
00:31:50.720 And they located it in Frankfurt University in Frankfurt, Germany.
00:31:56.720 So it became known as the Frankfurt School.
00:32:00.200 And then in 1933, when Hitler took over, if you recall, you know, between the 20s and before World War II, and it was captured in that movie Cabaret.
00:32:14.620 Do you remember that movie with Liza Minnelli, where she was on stage with all the drag queens? 0.54
00:32:25.320 And Germany was the most decadent society in the 1920s up to World War II. 0.89
00:32:37.200 And it was known for that. 0.50
00:32:39.860 And how did it get that way? 0.93
00:32:42.280 Well, a lot of it was the work of the Frankfurt School, because their goal was to corrupt culture. 0.79
00:32:54.100 willie munzenberg a german communist who was in lenin's inner circle said we must organize 0.87
00:33:06.280 the intellectuals and use them to make western civilization stink because only then when we
00:33:14.040 have corrupted all of its values and made life impossible can we impose communism and
00:33:21.980 And he had a German friend, the head of the German Communist Party, a lady who said that Willie knew why the intellectuals, you know, well, the working class, they discovered, really wasn't interested in a street revolution.
00:33:38.480 You know, they were kind of fine with going to work and, you know, having a living and all that.
00:33:46.060 And so why the intellectuals?
00:33:49.480 And this lady said that, well, Willie understood that with the intellectuals, you don't need to pay them any money.
00:33:59.980 All you have to do is flatter them.
00:34:04.880 And they called it the treason of the intellectuals.
00:34:12.060 And that's exactly what it is.
00:34:14.440 Jim Simpson with us right now.
00:34:16.240 So, Jim, Manufactured Crisis, The Word to End America is the book, crisisnow.net.
00:34:22.300 I want to talk about, if you can, we've got to take a quick break here.
00:34:27.260 Understanding the past, right, is the piece of this, where this comes from,
00:34:31.620 so you can understand how bad some of this is.
00:34:34.880 The crossroads were out there.
00:34:36.140 Really, the next piece that we really have to make sure that we got under wraps is,
00:34:40.520 where do we go?
00:34:41.200 Now that you know this, where do we go from here?
00:34:43.700 once we assume and we get everyone educated.
00:34:46.900 Jim, hang with us.
00:34:47.580 We'll be right back after this.
00:34:49.980 Justin Barkley in for Glenn today on the Glenn Beck program.
00:34:54.340 Glenn Beck.
00:35:08.360 Hey, here's the hard truth.
00:35:09.780 Numbers do not lie.
00:35:11.140 They might make you uncomfortable, but they don't lie.
00:35:13.240 we've tracked the price of the S&P 500 gold and silver over the last five years. Now, between
00:35:19.720 January 2022, May 2026 and the peaks and valleys, the results are staggering. Now, the S&P is up a
00:35:27.000 whopping 45 percent. Gold is up 110 percent. Silver up a staggering 415 percent. So the question is,
00:35:35.420 are you holding all the right assets? Do you need a diversified portfolio? Now, this is where
00:35:40.560 it is literally paid to be diversified and that's why i want you to check out my partners at gold
00:35:46.000 co they're offering my audience you a free gold and silver kit they want to show you the ropes

00:36:06.160 855-815-GOLD.
00:36:18.500 This is how it works, by the way.
00:36:20.620 Past 100 years and beyond.
00:36:22.300 KGB, former KGB, Uri Besmanov,
00:36:26.600 talking about how they've done what they've done in America.
00:36:29.760 By the way, this is a video, I think, from the 70s, 80s, somewhere in there.
00:36:33.480 He called the shot, folks.
00:36:34.600 Or psychological warfare.
00:36:36.160 What it basically means is to change the perception of reality of every American to such an extent that despite of the abundance of information, no one is able to come to sensible conclusions in the interest of defending themselves, their families, their community and their country.
00:36:57.160 it's a great brainwashing process which goes very slow and it's divided in four
00:37:04.780 basic stages the first one being demoralization it takes from 15 to 20
00:37:11.320 years to demoralize a nation why that many years because this is the minimum
00:37:16.720 number of years which requires to educate one generation of students in the
00:37:22.540 country of your enemy exposed to the ideology of the enemy in other words
00:37:29.100 Marxism Leninism ideology is being pumped into the soft heads of at least
00:37:34.120 three generations of American students without being challenged or
00:37:37.600 counterbalanced by the basic values of Americanism that that that's the 80s
00:37:43.160 imagine imagine where we are now America 250 at the crossroads at the
00:37:51.160 crossroads now there are solutions and by the way these these are just as important and in fact more
00:38:00.080 important we've got to understand where where we how we got here we've got to understand how to
00:38:08.100 break free of it all and there's a couple of three different three different things that are so
00:38:15.160 important. Number one, wake up. You got to wake up. Reject passive consumption of media and
00:38:24.700 education. It's pushing the vision, self-hatred. Scrolling on social media gives you this too.
00:38:31.380 You have to watch what goes in your eyes and your ears and your kids too.
00:38:39.300 You got to know history. You got to question these narratives from all sides really.
00:38:45.160 demoralization and particularly what he's talking about in that video
00:38:49.640 it it can be conquered when individuals reclaim
00:38:53.200 their own reasoning and and cultural roots
00:38:57.600 but really where where you and i came from number two we got to rebuild
00:39:02.380 locally i know there's a lot of focus and attention on dc and the things that
00:39:08.520 happened in the swamp yes they're important but what happens
00:39:10.840 in your own backyard is even more important strengthen families
00:39:14.720 communities, what happens in your own home and in your own heart, probably the most important.
00:39:26.000 Teach those kids critical thinking over ideology.
00:39:31.480 You know, I got two that are very young and they're growing up now teaching them to think.
00:39:38.620 Not what to think, but how to think.
00:39:41.840 Boy, that is, that's the goal.
00:39:47.440 And support folks like Glenn Beck, The Torch, creators, people, educators who are prioritizing truth, logic, and common sense.
00:39:56.880 The truth, right?
00:39:57.840 Evidence over emotion.
00:40:01.260 Make sure that we put our money where our mouth is, so to speak. 0.99
00:40:07.860 Ten our eyeballs and attention there, too.
00:40:09.700 And then third, you've got to do it.
00:40:14.020 You've got to live like you're free.
00:40:16.700 You've got to live like those patriots paid a price all those years ago.
00:40:21.760 And you've got to live like it's worth it.
00:40:23.960 That's the best honor you could give them for their sacrifice each and every day.
00:40:28.440 Live unapologetically.
00:40:30.580 Speak facts.
00:40:31.980 Be open.
00:40:32.780 Be bold.
00:40:33.500 Without fear.
00:40:35.720 Build real skills and self-reliance.
00:40:38.080 and that's how you break through.
00:40:43.420 The golden rule doesn't hurt either.
00:40:47.180 Love your neighbor.
00:40:49.900 Show them what love is.
00:40:52.620 Preach the gospel.
00:40:54.560 And every now and then you can use words,
00:40:57.320 most often your actions.
00:41:00.320 Boy, they matter a lot more, don't they?
00:41:06.320 Hello, America. 1.00
00:41:07.220 You know we've been fighting every single day.
00:41:09.440 We push back against the lies, the censorship, the nonsense of the mainstream media that they're trying to feed you.
00:41:15.720 We work tirelessly to bring you the unfiltered truth because you deserve it.
00:41:20.620 But to keep this fight going, we need you.
00:41:23.120 Right now, would you take a moment and rate and review the Glenn Beck podcast?
00:41:26.820 Give us five stars and lead a comment because every single review helps us break through Big Tech's algorithm to reach more Americans who need to hear the truth.
00:41:35.520 This isn't a podcast. This is a movement, and you're part of it, a big part of it.
00:41:40.460 So if you believe in what we're doing, you want more people to wake up, help us push this podcast to the top.
00:41:45.560 Rate, review, share. Together, we'll make a difference.
00:41:49.280 And thanks for standing with us. Now let's get to work.
00:42:05.520 The fusion of entertainment
00:42:34.580 enlightenment and empowerment this is the glenbeck program glenbeck is on yeah we are
00:42:46.160 coming to you from my very cool downright chilly studios today in for glenbeck on the
00:42:55.000 glenbeck program it's justin barkley where no it's not 78 like kami mom donnie has ordered
00:43:01.740 inside the Big Apple. I don't think
00:43:03.820 it's 78 inside the CNN studios.
00:43:05.880 It's not 78 in his office.
00:43:08.800 And it darn sure
00:43:09.740 isn't 78 inside Madison
00:43:11.600 Square Garden where I guess
00:43:12.860 Taylor Swift is getting married.
00:43:14.900 I don't know. I couldn't tell.
00:43:21.300 More on the rules for the
00:43:23.700 but not for me crowd coming up.
00:43:25.780 And more as we
00:43:27.680 celebrate America 250. We're on the
00:43:29.660 eve of it right now. And real

00:44:48.080 all right welcome back to the glenbeck program 888-727-BECK
00:44:57.900 it's 888-727-BECK on the eve of america 250 justin barclay here with you today justin
00:45:04.480 at justinbarclay.com that's b-a-r-c-l-a-y love to hear from you and anything that we talk about
00:45:11.280 today by the way i put up on the stack on the website so you can actually go see what we're
00:45:15.980 getting into and some of the stories in fact some of the highlights of these great americans and the
00:45:19.840 things that they're doing to celebrate america 250 that is uh i believe so important to see
00:45:27.620 some of the big things that are actually happening and the celebrations taking place
00:45:31.720 we need more of it i can't get enough of it uh at least that's that's how i feel
00:45:38.400 um patriotic and and probably now more than than ever before and in a moment where i believe we
00:45:45.440 need it more than ever before because of what we're up against and we just talked last hour about
00:45:51.560 some of the socialist communist democrat takeover that's underway in fact in my home state of
00:45:59.260 michigan where i'm coming to you from today we're facing it right now in fact we've seen it uh in
00:46:06.420 multiple layers but there's a big race for senate in fact this seat will decide who uh has a say
00:46:14.440 in this moving forward with President Trump's agenda and more,
00:46:20.040 and particularly here in Michigan,
00:46:21.540 decide who's got a voice at the seat at that very table.
00:46:26.000 And it could be one.
00:46:28.020 In fact, one of the Democrats polling highly 1.00
00:46:30.100 is this radical, extreme, leftist, Muslim, 0.99
00:46:35.040 and he is picking up steam. 1.00
00:46:38.220 His opponent, the Republican, reasonable, common sense, truth, logic kind of guy,
00:46:42.880 Mike Rogers, former congressman, running
00:46:46.520 I think a completely
00:46:49.000 it's hard to even
00:46:53.120 such a contrast, a completely
00:46:56.300 into the spectrum, other side of the game against him.
00:47:00.360 It's a major issue for Democrats. It is now a litmus test
00:47:04.000 that you have to say that there's genocide
00:47:06.160 in Gaza, that you don't
00:47:10.180 like the idea that Israel exists at all.
00:47:12.880 And so this wave of anti-Semitism, it's real.
00:47:15.880 I mean, about two months ago, Laura, we had a Democrat convention.
00:47:19.140 7,000 people booed the Jewish regent for University of Michigan,
00:47:24.300 who was trying to get on the ballot to get reelected,
00:47:26.780 who was doing a good job at U of M, pushing back on anti-Semitism,
00:47:29.840 gets booed for seven minutes by 7,000 delegates.
00:47:34.360 They take him off the ballot.
00:47:35.760 He was doing a good job and put the lawyer who was representing
00:47:39.760 the Palestinian students on University of Michigan campus on the ballot. This party has lost its
00:47:45.920 mind. They're not only anti-Semitic, they don't like America. You can't run around this state 0.98
00:47:51.860 saying we deserve 9-11. The other thing that he wouldn't disavow is the fact that Hassan Piker
00:47:58.780 has been saying he thinks the streets of America should run red with capitalist blood. It's
00:48:04.820 incredible that contrast by the way to talk a little bit more about that is former congressman
00:48:10.100 mike rogers welcome on the program justin it is always great to be here i i get a little nervous
00:48:16.420 when you get on a national platform because you are the genius of michigan and i i get a little
00:48:22.200 afraid they're going to steal you you know the national folks are going to want to steal you
00:48:25.780 from our great state of michigan i i don't know who i need to call to make sure that doesn't happen
00:48:29.920 But thanks for being such a solid and commanding voice for us in Michigan for Common Sense.
00:48:38.540 Well, thank you, my friend.
00:48:39.600 It is always an honor to be here in this seat for Glenn Beck and this audience.
00:48:45.260 It is the best in the business.
00:48:47.640 They are the brightest.
00:48:48.840 And, man, you can really feel that when we have these conversations because they get it.
00:48:54.360 Former Congressman Mike Rogers with us now.
00:48:57.160 Congressman, you get it.
00:48:58.980 you you're watching some of this play out right now and how downright dangerous it is uh not just
00:49:05.580 in michigan this is this is something we're watching play out in fact all across the country
00:49:10.240 right now it's a trend these these democrats i say the cheese has slid all the way off the cracker
00:49:15.660 with a lot of these folks and man it is and it's kind of funny but at the end of the day it's so
00:49:21.980 serious what's at stake well we better be laughing because we'll be crying otherwise i have never
00:49:28.680 seen such a rapid shift politically. And what's crazy to me is a lot of this is driven
00:49:36.460 by immigrants who came to this country because the countries they left were either in distress 0.93
00:49:44.380 or they didn't have freedom or they didn't have the opportunity to kind of better themselves in
00:49:51.260 their own country. So they come here and what are they trying to talk about doing? Changing this
00:49:56.060 country to something that resembles where they just left. I don't understand any of that.
00:50:00.200 That is not the great immigration story of America, where millions of people fled here
00:50:07.720 from tyranny and oppression and lack of opportunity. And they came here legally, by the way,
00:50:14.460 and made America better, made our independence, our freedom, our ability to kind of do the things
00:50:20.820 that we want to do, be our own person, do our own good in our own way only happens in America.
00:50:27.300 And now you have a official party of the United States abandoning all of that. Matter of fact,
00:50:34.040 they want to take over your health care. They want to tax you a lot more money. They're still
00:50:40.120 fighting about putting biological men in your daughter's locker room. These folks have lost 0.70
00:50:45.860 their minds and they really don't like america uh and it's and it's very very concerning and
00:50:51.960 nobody highlights that other than the what who is the current democrat leader of this pack
00:50:57.280 and abdul el-sayed uh who just really doesn't care about the united states at all it's worrisome
00:51:04.380 my courage is with us right now former congressman running for senate here in michigan
00:51:08.700 and the fight is on as you mentioned there's there's also this red green alliance that's
00:51:14.940 sort of shaping up that people are keeping an eye on again it is it's worrisome because the
00:51:21.900 unfortunately that the youth that these kids just haven't they've had not grown up in a scenario
00:51:27.660 where they've learned about these things in school whether it be communism and the dangers of such
00:51:32.180 and how it's killed millions upon millions upon millions throughout the years every time it's
00:51:35.960 tried it's failed horribly it's miserable and they don't really do and you can see this evidence
00:51:41.400 right now by what's happening in new york city with mom dunny promised everyone everything free
00:51:47.020 he was going to lift everyone up equally together and what we're seeing now more than anything
00:51:52.040 is that the misery is is leveled out in fact everyone will be equally as miserable and roasting
00:51:58.200 in their their uh their their apartments i guess uh in new york city this weekend but that's that's
00:52:04.680 the program they don't have any of the background to see it i know well think of it i mean what
00:52:11.100 They're pitching this socialism, which, by the way, has a 100% fail rate anywhere it's been tried.
00:52:18.200 100%.
00:52:18.640 I mean, you don't have to go too far in history.
00:52:20.140 Just look at what happened in Venezuela.
00:52:22.040 When Chavez, by the way, was saying, you know, we're different.
00:52:27.280 We're going to be different than all the other socialists.
00:52:29.620 We're called Democrat socialists.
00:52:31.420 He's the one that started that nonsense. 0.62
00:52:33.760 And guess what we found out? 0.75
00:52:35.500 They're exactly like all the other socialists.
00:52:38.360 It never works.
00:52:39.540 It always fails.
00:52:41.100 And it's about shared misery.
00:52:43.600 If someone's doing well, if your neighbor's doing well, well, we can't have that.
00:52:47.300 So we've got to knock your neighbor down a peg.
00:52:49.840 That's why they, if you can't, they want you to, we're not going to invest in the electric grid.
00:52:55.920 We're not going to invest in American energy so you can have cheap power.
00:53:00.000 We're going to make sure that none of that happens, and you have to set your thermostat where the government tells you to set your thermostat.
00:53:06.820 I mean, I'm hoping people snap out of this.
00:53:10.540 And we happen to have the extremists on the end of Abdul El-Sayed.
00:53:14.440 But what they're trying to sell now as normal or as centrist are still people that believe in open borders, picking the kind of car that you drive, all of that green energy nonsense, meaning that we want, they want your energy prices to be high at the end of the month.
00:53:33.480 I mean, that's their idea of centrists now in the Democrat Party.
00:53:37.260 That's why this election is so important, that we don't just turn our backs and say,
00:53:42.840 ah, I'll sit this one out.
00:53:45.540 You cannot sit this one out, because once they get in, they ain't giving up power, I'll tell you that.
00:53:52.500 Mike Rogers with us, former congressman in Michigan, running for Senate here,
00:53:56.860 rogersforsenate.com, on the Glenn Beck program.
00:54:00.100 I got to, you know, your point about the equal misery, and I 100% agree. 0.94
00:54:04.460 The one thing we leave out here, it's misery for the working class. 0.99
00:54:07.440 It's misery for the average American that will happen.
00:54:12.120 An average New Yorker we're seeing right now.
00:54:14.620 But the elite, Mom Donnie, his office isn't set on 78.
00:54:18.380 Taylor Swift, her wedding there at Madison Square Garden, if that's what's going on, that won't be set on 78.
00:54:25.200 CNN and studios, they're not set on 78 right now.
00:54:28.860 The elite going to be just fine. 1.00
00:54:31.080 But it's you and everyone else, the working class, that are going to pay the price. 1.00
00:54:35.540 So I want to ask, what are the solutions? 0.60
00:54:38.880 Because some of these things are true, and they're because of these failed Democrat policies.
00:54:43.660 Look, socialism, communism doesn't work, but neither does crony capitalism.
00:54:47.820 What do we do to right the ship and then talk to those people who are feeling some very real pain because of all the damage Biden did?
00:54:56.120 Completely.
00:54:56.600 And what we do need to do is remind people what happened under Biden.
00:55:01.520 That's what gave you the baseline of these high prices, number one.
00:55:05.780 They built in this notion that you're going to pay more for utility rates.
00:55:09.160 Remember when Obama came out and said he wanted utility rates to skyrocket?
00:55:14.940 And why?
00:55:15.680 Because socialism only works if I'm punishing everyone.
00:55:19.680 And so that is their plan.
00:55:21.320 Well, you're going to make energy scarce.
00:55:23.180 And when it's scarce, it gets more expensive.
00:55:24.940 That's exactly what they were doing.
00:55:26.600 And under President Trump here, we've we've he's at least gotten after the notion that we're going to continue to produce and grow American energy, which will give us cheaper energy, by the way, makes us competitive so that we can retain and keep and grow manufacturing jobs here in America.
00:55:43.360 And you pay less at the end of the month for utility bills. They don't. That's not their direction. Biden gave us this high thing.
00:55:49.500 So what we can do, continue to grow American energy, have to do it.
00:55:53.560 And then the sheer regulatory environment that they have given us is stifling.
00:55:58.340 Just think on a house here in Michigan.
00:56:00.660 If you, for every thousand dollars, you raise the cost of building a house, and every state
00:56:06.180 in the union is suffering through this, is that it takes 3,200 Michigan citizens out
00:56:12.720 of the ability to afford that house.
00:56:14.740 So think of it.
00:56:15.220 That's pretty powerful.
00:56:16.660 Just in the last decade, the Democrats have been in charge here in Michigan for the better part of the decade,
00:56:21.520 $25,000 in new regulatory costs for a new home.
00:56:26.900 And when you ask builders, well, is it safer? Is it better? Is this house better than it was in 2017?
00:56:33.560 You know what the answer is? Absolutely not. It's just a lot more expensive.
00:56:37.120 Our government continues to work against this.
00:56:40.380 And think about what the socialists, what this new wave of big government intervention in your lives,
00:56:45.420 there you're going to get more of that you're not going to get less of it and so they're hiding
00:56:49.640 behind uh you know this notion that people are going to forget what a biden did what the democrats
00:56:55.220 did when they were in control of the united states congress by making everything more expensive
00:57:00.220 and by the way when the wind isn't blowing and the sun ain't shining we don't have enough power
00:57:05.240 uh we're seeing that here in michigan as well as other places in the country we have to turn
00:57:09.400 all of that around and just open up the opportunity economy you know the democrats
00:57:14.360 want everybody to make the minimum wage.
00:57:16.720 Republicans want everybody to do as well as you possibly can.
00:57:20.840 That's the difference at the end of the day.
00:57:23.780 Yeah.
00:57:24.080 You know, the shiny new object thing is actually ancient.
00:57:27.020 And truth is, it never works.
00:57:30.140 The things that do work are what we're seeing right now.
00:57:32.760 So the government gets out of the way, gets out of your life, and lets you live in prosperity
00:57:37.680 and peace.
00:57:38.900 And boy, oh boy, is it a clear contrast.
00:57:41.140 I don't think it's ever been more clear.
00:57:43.240 Mike Rogers running for Senate here in Michigan to help support President Trump, his agenda, and get things back on track so that we can be another 250 years and beyond for our families, for our kids, for our grandkids.
00:57:57.020 I can't imagine.
00:57:59.080 We all got to step up and get it done, though.
00:58:01.620 And, Mike, that's why I appreciate you doing just that.
00:58:04.360 Rogers for Senate.com.
00:58:05.840 Thank you, my friend.
00:58:07.500 Hey, thank you, my friend.
00:58:08.520 Thanks for doing a great job.
00:58:09.580 Thanks for representing Michigan.
00:58:10.900 You are doing phenomenal.
00:58:12.480 Fantastic.
00:58:12.880 to Q2. God bless. There you go, folks, and more America 250. By the way, the average Americans
00:58:17.400 that are doing incredible things to celebrate this holiday. I want to sort of highlight China,
00:58:23.120 a little bit of a spotlight on them. We'll do just that after this on the Glenn Beck Program.
00:58:29.160 All right, $5 billion a day, $39 trillion in debt. That is a lot of money. Pretty hard to believe.
00:58:37.160 The question is, when are they going to stop this? How long can this go on for? Washington
00:58:41.160 spends too much i'm not waiting around to find out uh and i don't think you should either you
00:58:45.980 want to be proactive in your life somebody told me when i first started saving money in my late
00:58:50.800 20s uh you might want to look at gold and silver a small portion of your portfolio i want you to
00:58:56.560 potentially get in front of this i am so glad that i did this in my life and i'm glad i continue to
00:59:01.220 do it today and i am a customer of gold co i think they're the best gold and silver company in the
00:59:06.960 business gold co can help you buy and store your own physical precious metals all you have to do

00:59:19.200 silver just for getting started gold co the real deal i'm a customer give them a call 855-815-GOLD
00:59:26.300 855-815-GOLD today
00:59:36.960 I can't imagine this.
00:59:41.080 I don't, look, I love this country.
00:59:45.900 I make no bones about that.
00:59:47.600 But I don't know if I love it this much.
00:59:53.200 I don't know if I love it this much.
00:59:57.660 Well, how much?
00:59:58.680 Well, there's a group of guys that decided that they were going to do something.
01:00:05.320 And this really is.
01:00:06.660 It's incredible to commemorate and to run up the 250th of this great nation.
01:00:21.640 And, like I said, I can't wrap my head around it because I am not necessarily a runner.
01:00:30.160 I don't run.
01:00:30.940 Well, I take that back.
01:00:32.940 I run my mouth.
01:00:36.660 There's about it.
01:00:38.040 I run my mouth, but if you catch me running something really bad, it's probably happening.
01:00:48.760 I would get out of the way and maybe start running too.
01:00:51.740 But these folks, they've got a relay for America.
01:00:56.520 Thousands of miles they ran from sea to shining sea.
01:01:01.580 And they're wrapping it all up in the celebration.
01:01:06.620 The Relay for America.
01:01:08.760 American flag is on its way to our nation's capital for the 4th of July.
01:01:13.400 Runners currently carrying the flag all the way from California, where this race started last month.
01:01:18.780 The founders of the group Relay for America joined us just days after their more than 3,000-mile trek began,
01:01:25.480 explaining the reason for the journey.
01:01:27.720 Watch.
01:01:28.680 People like to talk about all the things that are wrong with America.
01:01:31.040 And really the spirit of this relay is showing all the things that are right with America at about a nine minute average pace through the day, through the night.
01:01:37.820 The flag will never stop moving until it gets to Washington, D.C.
01:01:40.960 And really, again, the whole message is just about bringing Americans together.
01:01:45.420 Once the flag arrives at 10 a.m. Eastern tomorrow, it will have passed through 15 states and have been held by 250 different runners.
01:01:54.440 Congrats to all who did that.
01:01:55.800 Amazing stuff. Very good.
01:01:57.400 San Francisco to D.C., and again, I just can't imagine this.
01:02:03.860 But this kind of thing, you might think it's a stunt.
01:02:07.340 Somebody might look at this.
01:02:09.500 I'm sure Democrats, folks on the left, probably tempted to sort of just look at this
01:02:15.700 and maybe dismiss it, but I would never.
01:02:19.520 It's things like this that highlight what made America great,
01:02:25.120 the willingness to do something completely unreasonable.
01:02:28.720 The willingness to do something completely
01:02:31.460 and in some ways radical.
01:02:36.300 I mean, think about the founding of this nation.
01:02:38.700 First of all, people had to get here. 0.84
01:02:41.280 And this was back long before they had, you know,
01:02:44.600 airplanes bringing women in to have anchor babies here.
01:02:48.000 The founders could have never imagined
01:02:49.740 some of the things that are possible now.
01:02:53.000 First, they had to get here.
01:02:54.060 Then they had to survive once they were here, and many of them again going out west,
01:02:58.500 and all the things that they were able to accomplish.
01:03:03.760 It's a different breed, Americans, that founded this nation,
01:03:09.020 that laid the very roads that these crazy folks ran down across the country
01:03:17.140 to celebrate the 250th birthday.
01:03:19.680 We'll do more of that, celebrating folks a real average every day, of course.
01:03:23.500 I guess you wouldn't call those folks average.
01:03:25.740 They're extraordinary.
01:03:28.440 I could never do it.
01:03:30.020 More of that on the way.

01:03:36.340 We're back after this.
01:03:40.800 As America celebrates its 250th anniversary,
01:03:44.340 this milestone is also a time to reflect on the enduring relationship
01:03:48.360 between the U.S. and Israel, our greatest ally.
01:03:50.860 President John F. Kennedy once said, Israel is not created in order to disappear. Israel will endure and flourish.
01:03:59.080 These words captured the spirit of a young democracy determined to survive.
01:04:03.460 Two nations, thousands of miles apart, yet united by a shared value of democracy, faith, freedom, and resilience.
01:04:11.800 That's flagpinifcj.org.
01:04:14.320 As America celebrates 250 years of independence, the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews turns to God in prayer, asking that His wisdom will guide elected officials and lead America and Israel to moral clarity and national unity.

01:04:49.820 they don't want you to know this story about trump the golden door from ellis island to
01:05:14.060 the white house a new documentary now streaming on torch we are fast and furious full speed ahead
01:05:22.260 on the glenbeck program and on the eve of america's 250th birthday a celebration that's
01:05:29.220 happening uh from sea to shining sea today and of course even in some places across the world i saw
01:05:34.560 uh japan i thought this was cool japan has uh a couple of things lit up and in honor of the
01:05:41.020 celebration this weekend red white and blue uh now that that is that is pretty cool what was it
01:05:48.240 it was the tokyo tower the rainbow bridge and tokyo aqua symphony in red white and blue for
01:05:55.480 july 4th to celebrate america's independence day now i i do think this country yes is the greatest
01:06:03.300 country in the history of the world.
01:06:07.280 I do know, and I just believe, but I know that in fact
01:06:11.560 it is only so because God ordained it.
01:06:16.680 That's why it's had such an impact on the world.
01:06:19.580 It's the reach far beyond just how we live our lives here.
01:06:23.620 But it is the reach that we have had on the world, and maybe
01:06:27.280 the only reason that we are allowed still yet
01:06:30.700 to enjoy the freedoms that we do today
01:06:34.500 is because no matter what the headlines say,
01:06:39.000 God is still on the throne and he's not done with us yet.
01:06:43.940 Now, there's some people arguing over,
01:06:46.360 and I'm sure you'll continue to see this from the left,
01:06:48.780 people arguing over whether or not this country is a Christian nation,
01:06:53.860 whether or not its founding really had its roots where we say it does.
01:06:58.540 But this clip that I'm about to play for you is making the rounds on social media right now.
01:07:04.260 It's gone viral at just the right time.
01:07:06.180 That timing is no coincidence.
01:07:10.520 Pastor Josh Howerton, I think out of Texas, great stuff.
01:07:14.660 He's got a great podcast and Tim Barton, David Barton's son, with him in this podcast.
01:07:22.100 Talking about some things that people, I don't think, there's a few people very surprised to hear this story.
01:07:28.540 and particularly the proof of why this nation and its roots go all the way back to God.
01:07:37.560 Did you know we became a nation in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit?
01:07:40.420 Never heard that literally before this moment.
01:07:42.780 And this would be my question, like, hey, Josh, how many textbooks have you seen that in?
01:07:46.380 Look at the title of this document.
01:07:48.820 This is the peace treaty.
01:07:50.180 It's called the Peace Treaty of Paris.
01:07:51.560 It's on display in Washington, D.C.
01:07:53.080 On the left, you see there's four signatures.
01:07:55.040 The top one with the ribbon is David Hartley, the British ambassador.
01:07:57.880 then you have John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, John Jay. Now, Josh, this is a document
01:08:01.320 that ends the American Revolution, brings peace between us in Great Britain, and establishes
01:08:04.840 America as a free and independent nation. A document that made America a nation.
01:08:08.280 It says right there. In the name of the most holy and undivided
01:08:12.520 Trinity. Wow. So when people are like, no, we're not a Christian nation. Well,
01:08:17.000 like, it's obvious we know this. What document are you basing it on? Because literally,
01:08:21.880 the very first motion of the first meeting was to open with prayer. The most famous painting of the
01:08:26.280 first continental congress is them in prayer like you start tracking through this these were not
01:08:31.480 secular guys these were people that knew if god wasn't part of the story we were never going to
01:08:36.760 succeed in fact so much so that as we're celebrating independence right right now happy 250 that's a
01:08:43.160 document that made us a free independent nation in the name of the trinity that's insane right
01:08:47.480 in my entire life i've never heard that it is an incredible story and it is one that thanks to
01:08:54.200 Social media
01:08:56.220 People are going to hear
01:08:58.260 The algorithm
01:08:59.480 Square one for the algorithm this time
01:09:02.620 Are going to hear
01:09:04.320 I think at a time
01:09:06.100 That they need to hear it most
01:09:08.000 Bill Federer with us right now
01:09:09.880 He's the author and host of American Minute
01:09:12.280 The radio program and faith in history
01:09:14.040 On TV as well
01:09:15.180 No stranger to these stories
01:09:16.820 Bill on America's 250th
01:09:19.320 The eve of that big celebration
01:09:21.100 I thought it would be great to have you on
01:09:22.920 and talk about those things that have made America so great.
01:09:25.980 Welcome in.
01:09:27.580 Hey, great to be with you.
01:09:29.080 So let's take this little piece of history in itself.
01:09:34.220 This discovered and discussed by Howerton and Barton there in this conversation.
01:09:41.960 Is it a surprise to you that people don't understand?
01:09:46.420 They don't know the history.
01:09:48.280 They don't know what's taking place and what really built the country and why we're here.
01:09:55.940 Yeah, well, of course, Tim Barton is phenomenal.
01:09:58.820 I just love his work.
01:10:00.740 So one of the things that I did is research every single century of recorded human history to find out what the most common form of government is.
01:10:07.780 A couple of interesting things.
01:10:08.860 Writing was invented around 3300 B.C.
01:10:11.820 There's even Neil deGrasse Tyson in his Cosmos TV series is standing in the deserts of Iraq.
01:10:17.480 And he says, it was here between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers about 5,000 years ago that we learned how to write, we being humanity.
01:10:25.740 So from the beginning of the invention of writing, the most common form of government is gangs.
01:10:32.860 And a gang leader with enough weapons we call a king or a favor.
01:10:36.800 Caesar, Kaiser, Salazar, it's a top-down form of government.
01:10:39.780 If you're friends with the king, you're more equal.
01:10:41.620 If you're not friends with the king, you're less equal. 0.97
01:10:43.960 If you're an enemy of the king, you're dead.
01:10:45.900 It's called treason. 0.99
01:10:46.600 Or you're a slave.
01:10:47.480 So wherever you had the first king on top, you had the first slaves on the bottom.
01:10:51.780 And the first Bible record of this is Nimrod Tower of Babel.
01:10:57.080 And so just down the mountain from Eret where Noah's Ark landed.
01:11:00.860 And Josephus, the Jewish commentator, said Nimrod wanted to build this tower so high that if God destroyed the world again with a flood, he could survive on top.
01:11:10.420 And he made everybody in town bake bricks and bring them or he would kill them.
01:11:13.900 He wanted people to fear government more than fear God.
01:11:17.120 And since the population of the world was there, they're called the Fertile Crescent.
01:11:22.060 In a sense, Nimrod was the first globalist, the first one wanting to track world population,
01:11:27.440 the first one that was a one-world government guy.
01:11:30.180 God comes down, confuses the languages that people scatter into language groups that turn into nations.
01:11:36.480 Lo and behold, nations were God's invention to postpone a one-world government.
01:11:40.880 But every generation you have some Nimrod Pharaoh Caesar that wants to conquer other nations.
01:11:45.460 and if left unchecked, they'd have been happy to conquer them all. 0.61
01:11:48.340 And with every military advancement, they're able to conquer larger and larger areas.
01:11:53.060 And so I track them in my books.
01:11:55.140 You have the Assyrians and the Persians and Cyrus and Alexander the Great 0.92
01:12:00.200 and Julius Caesar and Attila the Hun and the Vikings and the Islamists and the Genghis Khans. 0.97
01:12:05.760 And they keep getting bigger until the king of England had the largest empire 0.66
01:12:11.620 that the planet had ever seen.
01:12:13.240 he was a globalist the sun never said on the british empire and america's founders decided
01:12:19.220 they did not like this globalist king and so they they took the power of a king and they scattered
01:12:25.060 it in a sense our constitution has taken the tower of babel and scattering it again separating power
01:12:30.480 amongst the people into three branches federal to state level and uh and i go through where the
01:12:36.660 founders got these ideas? Well, a little Age of Enlightenment and John Locke's two treaties and
01:12:42.840 a little from the Magna Carta tying the king's hands in 1215 AD, a little from the Roman Republic
01:12:49.100 with 600 senators, a little from the Athenian democracy with 6,000 citizens. But prior to that,
01:12:56.080 the first nation in world history that did not have a king was ancient Israel. About 1400 BC,
01:13:04.740 they come out of Egypt, and for 400 years, they have millions of people and no king.
01:13:10.480 And it worked because everybody was taught the law, and they were personally accountable to God
01:13:16.340 to follow it. So you have an opportunity to steal, nobody's around, you know you can get away with it,
01:13:22.060 and then you think God's watching, he wants me to be fair, he's going to hold me accountable in the
01:13:25.820 future, maybe I should hesitate stealing. And it creates a tiny thing in your head called a conscience.
01:13:33.900 And this worked for 400 years in Israel.
01:13:36.160 It's called the Hebrew Republic.
01:13:37.360 And this was studied by the pilgrims and the Puritans and John Calvin and this covenant form of government where you get like a triangle.
01:13:45.580 You get right from God.
01:13:46.540 You're fair to your neighbor because you're accountable to God.
01:13:49.700 And this was the Puritan scholars were actually nicknamed Christian Hebraists.
01:13:55.780 And that's why they taught Hebrew at Yale and Harvard.
01:13:58.500 To this day, Yale has Hebrew characters on its coat of arms, truth and light.
01:14:02.380 and harvard gave its commencement address in the 1600s in greek latin and in hebrew
01:14:09.500 and james madison graduated from princeton 1771 he goes back for an entire year just to study
01:14:16.260 hebrew he's fascinated with their political philosophy of this hebrew republic with no king
01:14:21.300 and of course madison's called the chief architect of the constitution
01:14:25.160 and so the the concepts that are brought forth this covenant form of government you had pilgrims
01:14:34.740 and puritans in new england founding cities so the little covenant church called the first baptist
01:14:41.300 church in america founded the city of providence rhode island and the first congregational church
01:14:47.620 founded the city of hartford connecticut churches founding cities and of course the word for city
01:14:54.060 is polis like indianapolis and so everybody in church is involved in politics because it's the
01:14:59.280 church founding the city and um anyway the word wait a minute wait a minute bill we have been
01:15:07.160 we have been told this lie about separation of church and state and you know what about all of
01:15:14.180 those things they're teaching the kids these days yeah so every colony was started by a different
01:15:21.200 christian denomination virginia was anglican massachusetts was puritan rhode island was
01:15:28.040 baptist maryland catholic new york was dutch reformed delaware new jersey were originally
01:15:33.280 swedish lutheran then taken over by the dutch then taken over by the british connecticut and
01:15:38.040 hampshire were congregationalists and pennsylvania was quaker now the attitude they had was if you
01:15:44.760 don't like our denomination fine start your own colony it was one denomination per colony similar
01:15:52.000 to europe where after the reformation it was one denomination per country so northern germany and
01:15:59.740 sweden were lutheran switzerland calvinist scotland presbyterian england anglican uh italy spain
01:16:07.140 france austria poland catholic and if you did not believe the way your king did you're persecuted
01:16:12.380 you fled mass migration some of those spilled over founded colonies in america but they had
01:16:17.920 the same attitude if you don't like our denominations start your own colony until the
01:16:22.380 revolution and then they realized they had to work together against the king and so the first
01:16:30.680 continental congress there was a motion for prayer and john adams writes that the delegate from
01:16:38.240 South Carolina Rutledge and the delegate from New York, Jay, objected because we were so divided in
01:16:45.080 our religious sentiments. And then Sam Adams stands up. He goes, I'm no bigot. I can hear a
01:16:50.940 prayer of any man of piety who at the same time is a patriot of our nation. And so Adams records
01:16:55.980 how they were kneeling and praying and there were tears in their eyes and that they got word that
01:17:00.620 New York was being invaded by the British. And so this is how America started. And then I read
01:17:07.600 through every state constitution. And in 1776, there were 3 million people in America, 98%
01:17:18.420 Protestant, 1% Catholic, 30,000 Catholics in a country of 3 million. Catholics were originally
01:17:26.340 only allowed in three states, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New York, and one-tenth of a percent Jewish,
01:17:33.700 3,000 Jews in a country of 3 million people,
01:17:36.560 only seven synagogues in the entire nation.
01:17:40.280 And so I read through every state constitution.
01:17:44.000 And every one of them mentions Christianity.
01:17:47.240 Nine, you had to be a Protestant Christian.
01:17:50.800 So for example, here is South Carolina's 1778 constitution.
01:17:56.960 It says the Christian Protestant religion
01:17:58.680 shall be deemed the established religion of this state.
01:18:03.100 I heard somebody say, well, if they wanted America to be a Christian nation, why didn't they establish it?
01:18:07.040 Well, South Carolina did, right there in its constitution, a Christian Protestant religion.
01:18:10.880 And it goes on, that all denomination of Christian Protestants shall enjoy equal religious and civil privileges.
01:18:20.280 And then North Carolina and South Carolina, nine of the original 13, you had to be a Protestant to whole state office. 0.68
01:18:26.260 Three, all you had to do was be a plain Christian.
01:18:29.000 and so Delaware's original 1776 constitution that every officeholder had to believe in God the
01:18:37.240 father Jesus Christ their only son and the holy ghost one God bless her evermore and you're like
01:18:42.040 that's pretty narrow-minded no no that was generous because you could be a Catholic or a Protestant
01:18:47.320 and say I believe in the father son and the holy ghost Ben Franklin signed Pennsylvania's state
01:18:53.080 constitution 1776 that said every office holder had to believe in one god the creator and governor
01:18:59.280 of the universe rewarder of the good punish the wicked and acknowledge the scriptures
01:19:02.340 of the old and new testament to be given by divine inspiration and you think that's narrow-minded no
01:19:07.920 that was generous because you can be a catholic or protestant say yeah i believe in god and i
01:19:11.480 believe in the divine inspiration of the scriptures and uh and so that was the way it was when our
01:19:17.920 country was founded. I love hearing these stories, Bill, and by the way, we're running out of time.
01:19:24.800 You've got to go to Bill's website to dig in. I highly recommend the books, but also all of the
01:19:32.500 messages that you'll be able to get in touch with, and not just educate yourself, but your family as
01:19:39.000 well. There's one thing, and we've just got about 60 seconds. This may be the biggest, but there's
01:19:44.060 one thing that i heard you say talking about that republic um thousands of years ago that made it
01:19:51.820 possible the rule of the people and it's still present today we can't it's the truth we can't
01:19:59.960 have this nation without a godly people without that influence without that foundation can you
01:20:06.480 talk about that maybe just for the last 60 seconds here yeah john f kennedy's inaugural he said the
01:20:12.560 rights of man come not from the generosity of the state but from the hand of god so if rights come
01:20:18.100 from a creator then the purpose of government is to guarantee to you your creator given rights but
01:20:24.640 if there is no creator where do your rights come from um the social contract the state the group
01:20:30.100 the mob right and so what the group giveth the group can take it the wayeth and so if your rights
01:20:37.040 come from the state the state can take him away uh and then there's uh harry s truman's inaugural
01:20:42.620 where he said we believe all men are created equal because we're created in the image of god
01:20:46.560 well that's a bible idea in islam allah has no women and allah has no image and a muslim woman 0.95
01:20:53.580 is not equal to a muslim man um man can have four wives uh in hinduism if you're a brahmin in the 0.93
01:20:59.940 highest caste you're worth worth more than an untouchable in the lowest caste who's got to 0.96
01:21:04.480 take care of the sewers. 0.90
01:21:06.220 And in an atheistic country,
01:21:07.640 work is dependent on your utility
01:21:09.040 or usefulness to the state.
01:21:10.340 And if you're not useful,
01:21:11.140 they'll harvest your body organs. 0.93
01:21:13.000 Bill, I hate to cut you off.
01:21:14.440 We got to run.

01:24:30.180 Glenn Beck is on.
01:24:31.500 You would think the, well, most important thing ever, according to CNN lately, is that reflecting pool.
01:24:41.960 And they're doing their investigation into, imagine if they dug in as deep as they are in that pool.
01:24:48.620 into the fraud happening at every level in minnesota and throughout the country uh that
01:24:54.060 would be something with it by the way we got an update on the reflecting pool there's been an
01:24:57.580 arrest sort of we'll get into that and of course the grand jury in on that plus uh some of the
01:25:04.620 bigger stories you need to hear particularly i believe and president's on this as well the save
01:25:10.940 America Act, the biggest piece of the agenda moving forward. Got to get that done. He talks
01:25:19.520 about that. We'll give you the latest coming up in just moments. Justin Barkley in for Glenn
01:25:23.640 today on the Glenn Beck program. As America celebrates its 250th anniversary, this milestone
01:25:32.360 is also a time to reflect on the enduring relationship between the U.S. and Israel,
01:25:37.120 our greatest ally. President John F. Kennedy once said, Israel is not created in order to
01:25:42.140 disappear. Israel will endure and flourish. These words captured the spirit of a young democracy
01:25:49.000 determined to survive. Two nations, thousands of miles apart, yet united by a shared value of
01:25:55.680 democracy, faith, freedom, and resilience. That's flagpinifcj.org. As America celebrates 250 years
01:26:04.180 of Independence, the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, turns to God in prayer,
01:26:09.620 asking that his wisdom will guide elected officials and lead America and Israel to moral
01:26:15.340 clarity and national unity. Sign up and receive a free U.S.-Israel flag pin when you go online
01:26:22.300 to flagpinifcj.org. That's flagpinifcj.org.
01:26:27.280 here he is the president sitting down with cnbc the other day and he says it right out of his
01:26:39.060 mouth the save america act the most important piece on the agenda the save america act is the
01:26:45.480 most important thing that we have that we'll have before us and maybe for many years back and many
01:26:51.920 years forward it's a voter identification with a photo so you look at somebody
01:26:59.360 yeah that's looks like that guy voter ID it's proof of citizenship and it's no
01:27:05.200 mail-in ballots except for the military we're very generous on this if you're
01:27:09.900 sick if you're just not feeling well you can get exceptions if there's a
01:27:15.800 disability there's some problem or if you go on vacation but you can't send in 0.90
01:27:21.500 millions and millions and millions of ballots where you swamp the place and it's so corrupt
01:27:27.980 we're the only country in the world that does it so it's those three things i also have i think
01:27:33.040 i i i i agree this is and by the way you're not alone if you're with the president they say in
01:27:41.600 the polling on this i think is like 80 20 it's it's common sense i think it's probably even higher
01:27:48.840 than 80% of the people who say, yeah, you have to show an ID
01:27:54.600 to get into Obama's new library in Chicago.
01:27:57.600 And you probably ought to be able to show your ID to be able to vote as well.
01:28:05.160 But it is critical, particularly with everything we've been watching
01:28:08.940 play out in the latest Supreme Court decisions and more.
01:28:13.320 Ken Cuccinelli joins us right now.
01:28:14.840 He's former acting deputy secretary at the Department of Homeland Security,
01:28:17.660 senior fellow at center for we're doing america and he's on the glenn beck program with us now
01:28:23.180 welcome in ken good to be with you we really america's birthday yes it is so it is i'm watching
01:28:30.480 by the way i just can't get over it because i'm sitting like in a cockpit here kim and i'm watching
01:28:35.620 all of the like screens we got television you got cable you got social media and everything's
01:28:41.120 flying past and i i am loving watching all of the celebrations that are happening right now
01:28:47.380 from the flyovers in D.C. to some parades and things like that.
01:28:51.600 I just saw they got the Las Vegas sphere, which is something else in itself.
01:28:55.380 They got it lit up with the Constitution, the American flag.
01:28:58.700 It's just incredible scenery right now.
01:29:01.200 If you're not patriotic today, I don't know who you are.
01:29:05.900 No, I agree. I agree.
01:29:08.300 It's a great time to celebrate the greatest country in the history of the world.
01:29:12.820 And 250 years is just amazing.
01:29:15.400 It's really humbling.
01:29:16.180 And the next piece of it is, obviously, as we look back on that, we've got to talk about what do we do to keep it alive, the next 250 and beyond.
01:29:26.060 And, you know, obviously, part of the conversation we're going to have with you was this piece of birthright citizenship, the Supreme Court ruling that the president said.
01:29:35.980 And I heard Glenn talk about this earlier this week.
01:29:38.520 He said he had a conversation with him not too long ago, and I think we all were sort of expecting, by the way the oral arguments went, that the ruling that came down was the way this was going to go.
01:29:48.880 But the president has – they have a plan.
01:29:53.720 What can be done and what should be done moving forward on this?
01:29:58.540 Well, you quoted him on the Save America Act, which is something that we at the Election Transparency Initiative have been focused on.
01:30:05.580 it would go a very long way to protecting all of America's elections. And as much as we want
01:30:12.600 states to be the controllers and deciders of how elections run, there are some things
01:30:18.020 that have to happen in Washington. One of those things is the citizenship protection.
01:30:25.640 Because federal law and federal court rulings have so, frankly, screwed up the state's ability, denying them the ability really, to prove citizenship for people they're registering to vote.
01:30:42.160 Let me say that again, folks. States are essentially blocked from confirming U.S. citizenship. There are very difficult ways that they can partially do it. Arizona tries to do it. Georgia tries to do it. There are some others. But it's very tough without a federal fix.
01:31:04.120 So this is one of those things that Washington has messed up and Washington has to fix.
01:31:11.340 The other side likes to get up there.
01:31:13.160 I listen to Chuck Schumer and, well, it's already illegal for noncitizens to vote. 0.91
01:31:18.140 Right.
01:31:18.800 And there's no way to enforce it.
01:31:21.520 No way to enforce the law.
01:31:23.740 So and he knows it very well.
01:31:26.900 It's interesting when you compare his remarks 30 years ago in the 1990s, you'd think you were listening to Ted Cruz.
01:31:33.980 in the 1990s, and it was Chuck Schumer on illegal immigration, on fraud by aliens, on
01:31:42.120 voter protection, et cetera. But ah, how the world changes. And the president is right that we need
01:31:50.380 to be able to confirm citizenship. The states need an easy, regular way to do this, and it has
01:31:57.700 to be required because only U.S. citizens should be able to vote in American elections. And like
01:32:03.400 you said, this is overwhelmingly popular. That radical right-wing institution we call CNN
01:32:10.060 has even run their own polling and found that over 70% of Democrats, Democrats, these are people
01:32:19.620 identifying as Democrat, saying they support voter ID, which is also in the Save Act, they support
01:32:27.040 citizenship confirmation. The only place that this isn't overwhelmingly popular is the U.S. Senate.
01:32:35.780 And that is obviously a problem for America going forward. Kudos to Speaker Mike Johnson,
01:32:43.240 who has been trying to work every which way to get this passed into law.
01:32:49.380 And probably the one remaining way this year, and folks can call their senators and
01:32:54.700 work this, is to provide some money for it, provide money to states, for example, to
01:33:00.760 give IDs to people who don't have any money, which every state that requires IDs does already,
01:33:08.700 and put it in the reconciliation bill. So you only need 51 votes, because the Democrats have
01:33:15.200 sworn they're, you know, part of their Trump derangement syndrome, they're not going to vote
01:33:19.200 for anything, no matter what it is, which, of course, for me, would be very tempting if I was
01:33:25.300 in the U.S. Senate. I'd start putting in some just humdingers of bills for them to vote again.
01:33:33.320 But the Save America Act is critical. The president is right, of course.
01:33:37.900 And those two, those are the most basic provisions of it that have always been part of the bill,
01:33:42.960 The voter ID and the citizenship confirmation tools for the states.
01:33:51.600 And yet we still have some Republicans voting against it, like Lisa Murkowski and Mitch McConnell.
01:33:58.300 And I think there may be some, Tom Tillis, there may be just some spite on some of this.
01:34:04.400 It's more Trump derangement syndrome, but within the GOP.
01:34:07.780 Yeah. The Trump derangement syndrome, it's a doozy. It does a number on people. But I think people are starting to see through it. And thankfully, these are issues that need to get fixed. 0.74
01:34:25.100 how they how we get there i think president has a couple of options but you just mentioned
01:34:29.400 i know he mentioned the filibuster in that same uh interview as well and he's looking forward to
01:34:35.080 possibly getting rid of the filibuster too um but they've got to get it done how soon do you think
01:34:41.800 we'll see some movement here well the budget period is between now and the end of september
01:34:47.740 but they're going to be gone for August. So there's really July and September. And that's
01:34:55.540 the period of opportunity to pass this. And frankly, I hope the president will veto that
01:35:04.540 housing bill that he says isn't worth much anyway. It passed the Senate 85-5, well, attach the SAVE
01:35:12.180 Act to it, and then send it back to his desk. But that doesn't happen unless he vetoes it.
01:35:18.360 And the other thing is FISA out there. God forbid our government not be able to spy on us.
01:35:26.020 I think the House and the Freedom Caucus is the most likely candidate for this,
01:35:31.080 ought to defeat FISA. They ought to knock it out without the Save Act. They ought to amend it to
01:35:39.220 add the save act. And if the Senate won't pass it, I'll tell you what, you know, who wants
01:35:43.900 the surveillance state worse than anybody else? Senate Republicans, Senate Republicans. And I'm
01:35:52.000 not happy about that, but don't give them their FISA unless they give us our save act. And if that
01:35:59.960 means no FISA for indefinitely into the future and FISA for your listeners, I'm assuming some
01:36:06.340 stuff here. FISA is this international surveillance program that we run. And when it picks up
01:36:14.520 Americans, they have to have Americans get warrant protections or they don't really under FISA
01:36:24.940 because everything is granted. Without FISA, the executive branch cannot listen in on our
01:36:34.060 domestic calls. And by domestic, let me rephrase that, international calls that involve an American.
01:36:40.760 So very specific. But they use it as a basis to start doing other surveillance as well. And
01:36:48.820 this is something I sued over a dozen years ago when President Obama was president. So you know
01:36:54.980 this is kind of a bipartisan thing. But nobody loves the surveillance state more than Senate
01:37:02.320 Republicans. That's just a fact. The Mitch McConnells, the Tom Cottons, the John Thunes of
01:37:08.380 the world, they love the surveillance state. Well, don't give them their surveillance state.
01:37:13.960 Take it away from them until we get the SAVE Act, at least. As much as I wouldn't like FISA anyway,
01:37:20.860 it's worth the trade-off to get the SAVE Act. And until these guys start feeling the pain
01:37:25.900 on the things they want, they're not going to give us what America needs, and that's the
01:37:31.500 Save America Act. Ken Ciccinelli is with us right now, former acting deputy secretary at the
01:37:37.240 Department of Homeland Security, senior fellow at Center for Renewing America. Ken, thank you so
01:37:41.920 much for the latest on these things. Any big plans you have? We just talked about at the top of the
01:37:48.100 interview here, but any big plans you have for the weekend and celebrating America 250 in style?
01:37:53.480 I'm going to head over to the Potomac River, which from Virginia's side, God put there for a reason,
01:38:00.360 And I try to respect it. And we're going to chill out on America's Capitol River and lift a glass to America's 250 previous years.
01:38:14.740 And in hopes of the next 250, that we can continue to be the beacon light of the world, by example.
01:38:21.640 Yeah, absolutely. Well, from your lips to God's ears and enjoy those fireworks.
01:38:26.560 Because I'm hearing they're going to be like, unlike anything else that we've ever seen before.
01:38:31.500 800,000 shells, I think, is what I heard.
01:38:34.000 Ten times the normal.
01:38:35.160 That sounds very Trump.
01:38:38.200 It certainly does.
01:38:40.200 He only does things one way, doesn't he?
01:38:42.440 Well, thank you, sir.
01:38:43.240 Always a pleasure.
01:38:44.360 God bless you and God bless America.
01:38:46.560 Amen.
01:38:47.360 All right.
01:38:47.760 You have a great weekend.

01:40:08.140 I don't know if anybody's
01:40:10.040 taking a dip in it today because
01:40:11.640 you might get arrested if you do.
01:40:13.900 All the vandalism that's been done,
01:40:15.820 it's certainly hard enough to want to take a dip.
01:40:17.880 I've seen videos of people
01:40:19.720 in D.C., particularly in some of these places,
01:40:21.500 and they are sort of, well, bathing, cooling off here and there
01:40:29.040 in some of the fountains in the monuments.
01:40:30.800 By the way, the fountains were not working
01:40:32.300 until President Trump got them back up and running here
01:40:35.540 in the last days or so.
01:40:38.680 It's incredible to see those people in those neighborhoods
01:40:41.680 just raving about having them back in a lot of ways.
01:40:45.800 You would not want to do that in the reflecting pool.
01:40:52.680 If you're David Hearn, you probably learned that the hard way.
01:40:58.240 Here's Judge Jeanine, U.S. attorney there in D.C.
01:41:02.060 on the grand jury now, folks.
01:41:04.340 Don't miss this part.
01:41:06.740 The grand jury that returned this, he should be charged with damaging the pool.
01:41:13.960 He reached down into the pool. Our evidence further shows that the National Park Service
01:41:23.400 employees observed Hearn actually forcefully and violently pulling up and removing the bottom
01:41:32.160 liner with both hands. According to witnesses, Hearn damaged approximately two square feet of
01:41:40.780 sealant from the bottom of the pool. A Parks employee actually told Hearn to stop, to stop
01:41:50.120 his behavior and stop what he was doing. Hearn reacted by shouting at that Parks employee,
01:41:59.540 saying that she cared too much about the reflecting pool. And why did she even care,
01:42:06.620 since it wasn't her pool.
01:42:09.420 It is our pool.
01:42:10.840 It's America's pool.
01:42:12.100 We should all care.
01:42:14.260 It's a monument.
01:42:16.220 It's like these folks, this class.
01:42:19.520 They don't care about tearing down monuments.
01:42:22.040 They've been doing that for years now.
01:42:24.260 They don't care about history.
01:42:25.640 They don't care about America.
01:42:26.700 They're not.
01:42:27.360 They don't.
01:42:28.680 It's not just they don't like it.
01:42:30.140 They don't love it.
01:42:30.880 They hate it.
01:42:31.720 And they hate any sort of idea or reason to bring him.
01:42:37.340 They don't want Trump to have any sort of success.
01:42:39.600 By the way, this is what that TDS looks like in full display.
01:42:44.080 Now, Mr. Hearn's behavior was characterized by witnesses as belligerent, rude, and disrespectful,
01:42:53.520 according to National Park Service employees that witnessed the event.
01:42:57.940 Now, let me talk a moment about those employees.
01:43:01.180 By the way, this is an Olympic athlete.
01:43:06.840 Many of those employees have come from around the country because they are proud of this nation.
01:43:13.340 They are proud of the 250th anniversary that we are about to experience.
01:43:18.800 And part of getting everything ready for that celebration was getting the pool ready.
01:43:25.620 Something had been neglected for years, getting things up to snuff so that when people, the visitors, come to D.C.,
01:43:30.500 They can see it in all its grand.
01:43:32.480 You know, why don't they want you to see D.C. that way?
01:43:36.300 They don't want you to see that way under Trump.
01:43:38.600 That's been much worse.
01:43:40.800 They've got major issues with crime and homelessness, et cetera.
01:43:44.960 From what I understand, much of that's been cleaned up.
01:43:47.100 You know, I was at the reflecting pool yesterday, and I think it's very sad.
01:43:51.200 Someone intentionally did a tremendous amount of damage to the pool.
01:43:55.840 And you can actually see where all the cutting is.
01:43:59.860 They took a sharp object and cut for many feet along the pool.
01:44:05.840 Well, when I file a charge, I'll be happy to show you a picture. 0.79
01:44:10.040 She doesn't give any of these reporters any room whatsoever.
01:44:16.960 All right.
01:44:17.680 What I'm trying to do is we're trying to find out who did it.
01:44:22.260 Okay.
01:44:22.600 And until we get to that point, I'm not going to be able to, you know,
01:44:26.860 discuss anything more than there was tremendous damage it does sound like somebody did some
01:44:31.880 cutting and then after that part you've got this guy reaching down and ripping off a big piece of
01:44:39.800 it whether for his own you know communist souvenir or whatever whatever the the reasoning behind it
01:44:45.520 uh that's why he was charged a grand jury again found that saw and experienced there was an effort
01:44:55.280 a violent effort to rip up the ceiling from the bottom of the pool.
01:45:00.500 And irrespective of whether or not, you know,
01:45:05.460 we think that, you know, there is some situation that preceded it,
01:45:11.180 we can state and prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he caused damage.
01:45:16.340 Now lock him up.
01:45:17.260 And anybody else that might do it, too.
01:45:19.580 The Find Out era is on full display.
01:45:21.880 All right, more coming up in the Glenn Beck program.
01:45:24.020 America 250 marches on. I was just reading an article and it was a list of market downturns
01:45:31.360 for the U.S. economy. Now, it got me thinking. Markets crash, things go up, things go down.
01:45:36.460 It doesn't seem to be a matter of if or when, right? I mean, the Depression, 1929, the recession,
01:45:42.600 1937, the flash crash, 1962, oil crisis in the 70s, Black Monday, 1987, dot-com bubble, 2008
01:45:52.100 crisis. You see where I'm going with this. If you're close to retirement, these downturns can

01:47:08.940 and the birth of a nation don't miss the american story this independence day weekend with glenn
01:47:15.740 back and we are ringing it in with all the pomp and circumstances uh that it deserves again i'm
01:47:22.880 watching there's some really cool video of the sphere in las vegas with some very patriotic
01:47:28.800 imagery on it that's really cool the flyovers in dc and glenn's even posted some really cool
01:47:34.720 things from his trip to dc so check all of that out again um you know make sure that uh
01:47:40.480 you've got a chance to sit down and take a little time with the family
01:47:44.240 and really think about all of the great things that make this country great.
01:47:48.600 Maybe read that Declaration of Independence.
01:47:50.540 It's kind of become a bit of a tradition for a lot of folks this time of year.
01:47:56.180 Get it ingrained into the kids, the grandkids, back into the culture
01:48:00.000 that people know why we're doing what we do.
01:48:03.160 Not just today on America's 250th birthday, but every year.
01:48:08.400 Every year we celebrate our independence.
01:48:12.780 You know, 250 years goes by in the blink of an eye,
01:48:23.000 in the scheme of things, in the history of the world.
01:48:26.980 250 years ago
01:48:32.120 again the founding fathers
01:48:35.300 risked it all
01:48:36.760 signed their death warrants
01:48:39.660 their names
01:48:42.100 on the line
01:48:44.660 and they bet everything
01:48:47.420 they bet everything on liberty
01:48:49.500 before the fireworks
01:48:55.180 before the parades, at least the ones that are still happening,
01:48:58.400 they're still going to be canceled because of the heat I just saw.
01:49:00.820 And I can't imagine.
01:49:02.300 What would they have said?
01:49:07.260 Canceled because of the heat?
01:49:10.480 I mean, I just can't imagine previous generations.
01:49:14.540 Too hot, huh?
01:49:16.100 Before those backyard barbecues, before you hit the water, whatever it is that you plan to do,
01:49:27.260 I want to take you back to a much quieter, a much colder moment in our story.
01:49:38.160 One that I think really solidifies how we have made it 250 years, and if we are to make it 250 more, one that we ought not lose sight of.
01:49:59.740 It's a moment that still echoes louder than any canon.
01:50:03.260 A moment in time. Picture this. Back in the brutal winter of 1777 and 78 there at Valley Forge.
01:50:18.380 Our Continental Army is shivering, half-starved, barefoot in the snow. Smallpox is ripping through the camp.
01:50:28.940 The dream of independence looks like it's about to freeze to death.
01:50:33.260 It's on ice.
01:50:36.260 And then there's the general, George Washington.
01:50:43.660 That's a confident general on the dollar bill that you see,
01:50:47.400 but a man carrying the weight of a nation,
01:50:56.500 And really the weight that he doesn't even comprehend or understand at this point.
01:51:04.520 A nation that hasn't even been born yet.
01:51:09.720 He walks into the woods.
01:51:13.740 His feet crunching in the snow, the ice, and the cold.
01:51:19.200 And the general drops in the silence of that winter day to the only place that if we are to survive as a nation, we must be to his knees.
01:51:43.880 Washington lays his sword aside
01:51:49.180 and he lifts his hands
01:51:53.760 not to fight
01:51:55.420 but to pray
01:51:58.920 he prays
01:52:02.660 like everything
01:52:04.580 depends on it
01:52:07.520 because
01:52:10.760 in that moment
01:52:14.280 it did
01:52:15.720 that iconic image
01:52:19.700 and I'm sure you've seen it
01:52:21.220 captured in that powerful painting
01:52:23.200 the prayer at Valley Forge
01:52:25.100 is front and center right now
01:52:28.520 at the Museum of the Bible's
01:52:30.580 special exhibit for America 250
01:52:33.100 in Washington D.C. right now
01:52:34.720 let me tell you
01:52:35.460 it hits a little different
01:52:39.180 when you know what came after it.
01:52:47.820 See, Washington wasn't pretending to have all of the answers.
01:52:52.720 In fact, he knew that he didn't.
01:52:56.620 But he humbled himself before the God of armies,
01:53:02.820 and he asked for strength.
01:53:04.500 He asked for wisdom, for mercy on this fragile cause of liberty.
01:53:15.040 And that prayer, that quiet, desperate act of faith
01:53:22.660 became one of the turning points, one of the many miraculous turning points
01:53:33.780 that carried us through in this nation's history.
01:53:37.000 This one, to Yorktown and beyond.
01:53:43.420 Now fast forward 250 years today,
01:53:48.300 and we've built the greatest experiment in self-government
01:53:53.240 the world has ever seen.
01:53:56.060 It's undeniable.
01:53:57.640 We've overcome civil war, world wars,
01:54:01.580 economic crashes
01:54:03.180 and cultural storms
01:54:04.760 and
01:54:07.500 we're in the middle
01:54:08.720 we're on the verge
01:54:10.980 of some even right now
01:54:13.720 but
01:54:17.500 listen some
01:54:19.500 some of those
01:54:21.520 same winds
01:54:22.400 you can even feel
01:54:26.740 howling
01:54:29.640 again today aren't they?
01:54:30.840 division, we've got doubt, a sense that maybe we've drifted a little too far from what held
01:54:40.720 us together, and that's why this story, this story matters right now, more than ever before,
01:54:52.360 on the 250th milestone
01:54:56.000 because the same power
01:54:59.800 Washington called upon
01:55:03.620 that day in the cold
01:55:06.760 winter at Valley Forge.
01:55:12.080 The same power
01:55:14.100 is still available to us
01:55:18.720 today.
01:55:20.260 looking back
01:55:27.020 on the last 250 years
01:55:29.980 will there be another 250
01:55:32.920 that question
01:55:35.880 many of us will ask this weekend
01:55:38.140 do we have a prayer
01:55:44.220 at the museum of the bible
01:55:49.820 The CEO puts it this way. Washington was the most powerful, despite all the victories in battle, he was the most powerful on his knees, bowing to a greater authority, one who could give him what no battlefield strategy alone could provide.
01:56:19.820 So do we have a prayer?
01:56:27.580 I'm asking for my kids, for yours, our grandkids.
01:56:36.380 This Independence Day weekend, I want to challenge you.
01:56:43.640 Whether you're, you know, in a car, you're at work, you're at the lake,
01:56:47.220 maybe you gather with family, carve out
01:56:49.340 carve out
01:56:51.640 your own
01:56:52.300 quiet moment.
01:56:57.660 Maybe take a knee
01:56:59.180 just like Washington
01:57:02.860 and pray
01:57:07.320 for this republic.
01:57:12.500 Pray for unity.
01:57:15.600 Pray that we remember
01:57:17.080 E pluribus unum
01:57:20.080 out of many one
01:57:21.580 pray
01:57:23.340 for another 250 years
01:57:28.280 and that 0.77
01:57:28.960 God's will be done
01:57:32.700 but we
01:57:35.580 would be right there in it
01:57:38.340 that is
01:57:42.460 if we have a prayer
01:57:43.640 and let me leave you
01:57:48.260 with the words
01:57:50.200 Washington himself wrote
01:57:51.920 in his
01:57:54.260 1783 circular letter
01:57:55.960 to the United States here
01:57:57.700 and the words we can still read
01:57:59.960 today in his tomb at Mount Vernon
01:58:02.040 my prayer
01:58:06.060 for America
01:58:07.920 on our 250th
01:58:10.460 it says I now make it
01:58:17.100 my earnest prayer that God would have
01:58:19.080 the United States in his holy
01:58:21.060 protection
01:58:21.660 that he would incline the hearts
01:58:25.320 of the citizens to cultivate a spirit
01:58:27.500 of subordination and obedience
01:58:29.320 to government to entertain
01:58:31.320 a brotherly affection and love
01:58:33.500 for one another and finally
01:58:35.600 that he would most graciously
01:58:37.820 be pleased
01:58:39.440 to dispose us all
01:58:41.440 to do justice
01:58:42.480 to love mercy
01:58:44.680 and to demean ourselves
01:58:47.380 with that charity
01:58:48.340 humility
01:58:49.780 and pacific temper
01:58:53.280 of mind
01:58:55.820 which
01:58:58.660 were the characteristics of the divine
01:59:01.340 author
01:59:02.180 of our blessed religion
01:59:05.260 and without
01:59:06.980 any humble imitation
01:59:08.760 of whose example in these things
01:59:11.280 we can never hope
01:59:13.040 to be a happy nation.
01:59:20.280 The answer to that question,
01:59:23.360 do we have a prayer,
01:59:29.840 is in the question itself.
01:59:34.860 Well,
01:59:36.140 do we, America?
01:59:38.760 back with more on the Glenn Beck program after this.
01:59:46.260 Most of us just want to work hard,

01:59:52.560 That's human.

02:01:35.460 I don't think the founders could have ever foreseen what we're going through right now.
02:01:40.840 Even the memes themselves.
02:01:42.400 The memes themselves.
02:01:43.680 There is one that has just been, I believe this is by the Department of Energy over the weekend,
02:01:49.600 obviously talking about Commie Mom Donnie and his rule that you've got to set your thermostats to 78 degrees in New York City.
02:01:57.240 The Department of Energy has posted a picture of our beloved First President, General George Washington, sword in hand.
02:02:07.840 The other hand, right hand, stretched out with a window.
02:02:13.380 It looks like a window unit air conditioner sitting on top of a table in this old room, portrait painting, no doubt AI involved.
02:02:21.300 With the title and the headline at the top, come and take it.
02:02:27.960 Whether it be to the memes that we're watching or the displays that we're seeing, in fact, across the drones and the fireworks that will be happening this weekend.
02:02:41.720 And I just saw, this is incredible.
02:02:43.720 Is it an F-35?
02:02:45.620 I don't remember the specific jet.
02:02:47.720 Yeah, I think it's an F-35 fighter jet hovering over the National Mall in Washington, D.C.
02:02:56.160 The flyovers that are happening today, lots of pomp and circumstance.
02:03:00.940 And boy, boy, is it worth it.
02:03:03.540 It is incredible to think about how far we've come.
02:03:06.880 and yet let's not forget the work that must be done daily daily to maintain it because this
02:03:15.240 none of this happens uh without the sacrifice that each and every one of us must endure each
02:03:25.560 and every day the price of freedom the dues are paid daily so let's continue to make those
02:03:33.280 investments not just for us for our kids and our grandkids and what this nation will become
02:03:39.440 in the days ahead where the lord is taking us i don't know but i am sure glad to be right here
