The Glenn Beck Program - Best of the Program ｜ 7⧸11⧸22

00:00:00.840 Stu, what a delight to be back. 0.94

00:00:04.580 You and Pat haven't solved one damn problem. 0.61

00:00:08.520 The world is even worse than it was two weeks ago. 0.98

00:00:11.920 What were you doing?

00:00:13.000 Well, you can say that of any two-week period lately, Glenn, so we did nothing.

00:00:18.140 Yeah, I'm surprised we're still broadcasting at this point.

00:00:21.360 And not because you two were on, just because it's decayed that rapidly.

00:00:25.820 Right.

00:00:26.060 We went over a lot of things today.

00:00:30.440 Abortion, the Supreme Court.

00:00:33.140 But I also started in an unusual place, Sri Lanka.

00:00:37.400 It is the place where you can learn the future of America.

00:00:43.500 I explain in today's podcast.

00:00:51.620 You're listening to the Best of the Glenn Beck Program.

00:00:56.060 All right.

00:00:59.620 Let me give you a couple of stories here.

00:01:02.020 Germany is now moving to reactivate the coal plants because they're afraid Russia is going to cut off the gas.

00:01:11.420 Swiss.

00:01:12.480 The Swiss are now preparing for gas shortages and are looking at rationing their fuel.

00:01:20.180 The world is learning a lesson.

00:01:27.140 Now, let me take you to Sri Lanka because this is the lesson that we should all learn today.

00:01:34.920 You might not be familiar with the island nation of Sri Lanka other than its name.

00:01:42.760 But it is the foreshadowing, dark foreshadowing of things to come in this great reset bound world.

00:01:51.740 Twenty-two million people inhabit Sri Lanka.

00:01:57.580 Twenty-two million people are now struggling to survive.

00:02:01.520 They're now facing the worst economic crisis they have ever encountered since declaring independence in 1948.

00:02:08.380 The government is now all but bankrupt.

00:02:12.720 They're in default on foreign debt.

00:02:15.780 They can't afford critical imports to sustain their people.

00:02:19.580 Medicine has now become too expensive or scarce to get a hold of.

00:02:24.040 Fuel prices on this little island are out of control.

00:02:28.020 It began to spiral out of control as long lines formed at gas stations.

00:02:35.740 Then violent brawls would sometimes break out between people and the military and the police holding them back.

00:02:42.720 Food prices skyrocketed.

00:02:47.020 Food prices became unsustainable when gas went through the roof.

00:02:52.760 Now Sri Lanka is on the brink of chaos.

00:02:56.580 Videos have emerged of starving and desperate people attacking others out in the street.

00:03:03.540 Everything culminated this weekend as thousands of angry rioters stormed the presidential palace and forced the resignation of their leader.

00:03:14.860 Sri Lanka.

00:03:16.560 I mean, I don't know anything about Sri Lanka.

00:03:19.200 Why would I care about Sri Lanka? 0.80

00:03:26.580 Here's what happened to Sri Lanka.

00:03:30.680 There was an IMF bailout package.

00:03:33.800 And it was really Sri Lanka's final option for recovery.

00:03:37.400 But a few days ago, the IMF walked away from the deal.

00:03:41.100 Now, if you know about Sri Lanka or you happen to, you know, have relatives in Sri Lanka, you're wondering what I'm wondering.

00:03:53.160 Why?

00:03:54.280 They did everything they were supposed to do.

00:03:56.480 They played by the rules as ordered.

00:03:59.840 So why is the global financial system now abandoning Sri Lanka?

00:04:04.000 A few short years ago, to the global economic elite, Sri Lanka was the jewel of Asia.

00:04:19.440 The World Economic Forum showered them with praise.

00:04:24.040 In one of their puff pieces highlighting Sri Lanka's leadership of the rest of the world, the article was titled,

00:04:30.860 This is how we will make Sri Lanka rich by 2025.

00:04:35.660 That was four years ago.

00:04:38.320 And now they're bankrupt.

00:04:41.480 So what happened? 0.94

00:04:44.460 Well, the usual crap that we hear from the overlords in Davos, and it was all described in that WEF article, 0.80

00:04:51.380 Sri Lanka, was to concentrate on a social economy, spending millions in the transformation to a new kind of capitalism. 0.96

00:05:02.200 They would double down on green energy.

00:05:05.140 Any of this sound familiar?

00:05:07.820 How about this?

00:05:08.980 Sri Lanka cut taxes, but also didn't cut spending.

00:05:13.660 In fact, in order to fuel the great reset of their economy, they began printing cash at unprecedented levels.

00:05:21.380 Because they had a green economy, they just had to serve.

00:05:25.620 And because everything went green, and they needed it right now, they upended their farming and agricultural production.

00:05:33.500 Any of this sound familiar to anyone?

00:05:36.400 Everything had to be organic, and everything had to be grown with new rules.

00:05:41.360 Now, the World Economic Forum said it was going swimmingly.

00:05:48.860 They said, quote,

00:05:50.060 The plan is delivering impressive results.

00:05:53.040 The current government has created 460,000 jobs.

00:05:57.480 So you know the government doesn't create jobs.

00:06:01.320 The current government created 460,000 jobs.

00:06:04.680 Helped more than 260,000 families secure a home.

00:06:07.980 Strong progress is being made.

00:06:11.320 The government is also invested to generate green energy and provide water resources for agro production.

00:06:20.080 You see, look at all of the things when you just decide to build back better.

00:06:26.080 Look at all the wonderful things that come.

00:06:27.920 Well, that's when it first started.

00:06:32.520 Four years into it, we need to update the scorecard.

00:06:36.160 This is what followed that initial push.

00:06:39.920 Bankruptcy, inflation, default, shortages of food, shortages of commodities, shortages of fuel, violence in the streets.

00:06:50.060 And in the end, the organizations that supported them and pushed them in that direction, the organizations like the IMF and the World Economic Forum, just walked away.

00:07:02.580 WEF just ran an article reporting on how Sri Lankan public workers are now being given extra days off.

00:07:10.920 That's fantastic.

00:07:13.060 Do you know why they were given extra days off?

00:07:15.260 They were given extra days off.

00:07:45.240 The IMF doesn't feel guilty.

00:07:48.080 To them, entire countries are mere casualties of war in their grand experiment.

00:07:54.920 It's the same thing with socialism and communism and progressivism.

00:07:59.420 One by one, the experiment fails.

00:08:02.840 Nations fall.

00:08:03.960 Thousands, sometimes millions, die or starve to death. 0.99

00:08:07.760 And they never say, well, crap, geez, that was our fault. 0.96

00:08:10.820 They say it wasn't done right. 0.96

00:08:12.860 Well, they didn't check all of the boxes.

00:08:15.240 Whatever the excuse is, it's never their fault.

00:08:19.400 They observe the ashes from afar, and then they double down and try it again.

00:08:24.080 Remember what they did to Sri Lanka the next time you hear Klaus Schwab say, now it's time for Great Reset. 0.99

00:08:33.100 Whenever you hear him say that, whenever you hear about Build Back Better, whenever you hear about our agricultural industry needing to go green,

00:08:42.160 whenever you hear about how Russia is causing the gas prices, I want you to think Sri Lanka. 1.00

00:08:52.080 Remember, Biden and John Kerry say, we just have a few short years to get this done in America.

00:09:00.220 Yeah.

00:09:01.140 Yeah.

00:09:04.080 Don't worry, you'll own nothing, and you'll be happy.

00:09:07.980 So far, they got the first part in Sri Lanka right.

00:09:11.820 They own nothing.

00:09:13.820 Now, if they could just get the happiness part, they would be set.

00:09:18.520 Have you noticed also in the Netherlands what's happening up in the Netherlands?

00:09:24.040 Have you seen?

00:09:25.800 The Netherlands are being forced to go green as well.

00:09:29.420 The Netherlands, of course, you know, are part of this Great Reset.

00:09:33.480 And there's Dutch farmers.

00:09:37.360 These Dutch farmers, they don't like this Green New Deal. 1.00

00:09:42.660 They oppose these pollution cuts.

00:09:45.860 My goodness.

00:09:47.840 They just won't play along.

00:09:51.060 Well, they'll get it eventually.

00:09:53.400 So now the farmers in the Netherlands, the Dutch farmers, have you ever heard of anyone in the Netherlands ever getting upset at anything?

00:10:09.420 They're now taking their tractors in, and they're bringing their tractors in, and they're blocking trucks.

00:10:26.720 They're burning hay on the streets. 0.78

00:10:31.700 They've taken crap from animals. 0.96

00:10:39.420 And poured it on the steps of the Capitol. 0.97

00:10:43.920 This is because they can't use the fertilizer that they've been using.

00:10:50.380 That nitrogen oxide and ammonia, oh, man.

00:10:56.640 We can't use that, because that's not natural, you know.

00:11:01.560 That's ammonia?

00:11:04.080 Nitrogen?

00:11:05.120 No, it's not natural.

00:11:06.440 We can't do that.

00:11:07.720 They say it's going to close down their farms.

00:11:11.780 It will shut down their farming ability.

00:11:14.960 It will cause mass starvation, they say.

00:11:19.220 So we could either listen to the experts, or we could listen to the people who actually grow the food and have been growing our food forever.

00:11:29.800 However, you're right.

00:11:33.860 We should probably listen to the experts.

00:11:35.560 This is happening.

00:11:37.340 Look for civil unrest.

00:11:39.300 Look for inflation unrest.

00:11:42.040 You will see this happening all over the world.

00:11:45.380 This goes to something I told you in 2009 would happen.

00:11:52.920 They're all going to blame the United States.

00:11:55.560 In the end, they will blame the United States. 0.99

00:12:00.720 And half of our own damn people will blame the United States as well. 0.98

00:12:05.000 Let's put this blame right squarely where it belongs. 0.99

00:12:11.840 On the shoulders of the elites that are running all of our countries.

00:12:17.700 Because this is happening all over the world.

00:12:21.140 They think they know better.

00:12:25.700 They don't.

00:12:28.600 Just stand in that truth for a while.

00:12:31.900 I have much more confidence in you solving things.

00:12:34.680 Even though Stu and Pat didn't solve a darn thing while I was gone.

00:12:37.960 I gave you two weeks.

00:12:39.940 Not one problem has been solved.

00:12:42.160 I thought you said screw up a bunch of stuff like Sri Lanka.

00:12:46.000 And I thought we were following your guidance.

00:12:49.060 Okay, yeah, no, uh-uh.

00:12:52.540 I have more confidence in the American people than I do in any expert.

00:12:57.520 I think if we would just leave this to our cities and our local governments,

00:13:01.620 we would be fine.

00:13:02.900 We would be fine.

00:13:05.140 You know, government, you just do the things.

00:13:08.440 You know, there's only a handful of things.

00:13:09.940 You just do those things for a while.

00:13:13.040 And we're going to watch.

00:13:14.360 Make sure you, you know, you actually secure our borders.

00:13:17.020 You actually are, have you heard the latest?

00:13:21.080 We're, uh, we're about to lose, uh, about, I think, is it a quarter of our National Guard?

00:13:28.540 Because they won't get the vaccine.

00:13:32.760 Well, why is anybody even talking about the vaccine still?

00:13:35.640 So we're going to lose a lot of our National Guard because of the vaccine.

00:13:40.900 22% of the police force in San Diego, gone.

00:13:47.760 Why?

00:13:48.700 They wouldn't get the vaccine.

00:13:50.360 So they just let go 22% of the police force.

00:13:56.520 What could possibly go wrong?

00:13:58.460 I mean, there's, there's not, I mean, no, we don't need police.

00:14:05.500 We're going to reimagine the police and then we're going to do something about it.

00:14:09.280 And when we do it, it's going to be great.

00:14:11.480 Trust us.

00:14:12.180 Back in just a second with more.

00:14:15.160 Our sponsor this half hour is the Tunnel Twins.

00:14:18.920 Our freedoms are under attack and true history is disappearing.

00:14:23.880 The socialists are rewriting it and they've been winning for a long time.

00:14:28.460 I'm going to show you the, the pattern of totalitarian takeovers.

00:14:37.620 I'm going to do that in hour number three today.

00:14:39.820 I want you to make sure you're listening because one of the things, one of the first things they do after they sow discontent is they take over the schools.

00:14:52.940 And gee, that hasn't, I mean, does that sound familiar at all?

00:14:55.920 Take over the schools.

00:14:57.520 They rewrite history.

00:14:58.900 They rewrite the morals.

00:15:00.560 They rewrite absolutely everything.

00:15:03.520 Well, that's happening.

00:15:05.400 And if we don't teach true American history, we're screwed.

00:15:11.720 Break the cycle.

00:15:13.500 Help your kids learn real history.

00:15:15.880 There is a solution.

00:15:16.740 This is the best of the Glenn Beck program.

00:15:26.740 The poll was done by Rasmussen to see how Americans, how they feel about the Supreme Court.

00:15:32.920 Uh, yeah.

00:15:36.780 So here's what we have.

00:15:38.300 Um, majority of Democrat, likely voters, not just registered Democrats, but likely voters believe the Supreme Court is fundamentally racist.

00:15:47.920 Racist, 56% and fundamentally sexist, 67%.

00:15:55.380 That's not good. 0.98

00:15:57.420 That's not good.

00:15:58.320 Further, 53% of Democrat, likely voters, want to abolish the current Supreme Court and establish a new democratically elected Supreme Court with justices chosen by the American people directly.

00:16:14.720 Can you even imagine what a nightmare scenario that is?

00:16:24.420 39% of Democrats would strongly or somewhat favor a constitutional amendment that would give the United Nations the authority to reverse U.S. Supreme Court decisions that U.N. members believe violate human rights.

00:16:39.940 I mean, who are the Democrats?

00:16:45.920 Who are they?

00:16:48.180 I, I, I, I, really? 1.00

00:16:51.740 I mean, I've met this many dumb people, but that would mean that all of the dumb people in America are Democrat, and I don't believe that. 0.98

00:16:58.860 But I'm beginning to, I mean, 53%, 56% say it's fundamentally racist, 67% of Democrats say fundamentally sexist. 0.98

00:17:13.420 But 53% of those who are likely to vote say they want to abolish the Supreme Court and hold elections for the, I mean, why don't we just, why don't we just do America's Got Talent?

00:17:31.480 We'll just, America's Got Judges. 0.98

00:17:33.380 I mean, look, that idea worked really well with the Senate.

00:17:36.900 Look how great our Senate is doing now, now that we direct, we elect them directly.

00:17:41.840 It's really improved that process quite a bit.

00:17:44.460 You know, I mean, you can kind of like understand, okay, the fundamentally racist thing.

00:17:47.900 Well, I mean, Democrats think literally everything is racist.

00:17:50.960 So, okay, maybe fundamentally sexist.

00:17:53.480 I mean, you know, maybe they just went through the Roe versus Wade thing.

00:17:56.720 A lot of the Democrats are angry about that.

00:17:59.080 I can cut you some slack on that.

00:18:00.960 Yeah, but like, no one's even proposing that the UN takes over vetoing our Supreme Court decisions

00:18:09.260 and still a giant chunk of Democrats believe that that's the way we should go.

00:18:16.420 That is remarkable.

00:18:18.320 So, 39% of Democrats would strongly favor a constitutional amendment that give the United Nations the authority

00:18:26.440 to reverse U.S. Supreme Court decisions that U.N. members believe violate.

00:18:31.240 That's 39%.

00:18:32.680 Here's the crazy part.

00:18:35.680 48% of all voters aged 18 to 39 favored giving the United Nations the power to overturn the U.S. Supreme Court cases.

00:18:47.140 So, wait, you want to give up our sovereignty to that group of people? 0.52

00:18:56.260 Can you tell me what that group of people have done?

00:18:59.880 One good thing.

00:19:01.140 Honestly, one good thing.

00:19:07.680 Audrey Hepburn was an ambassador for them, and I loved her.

00:19:14.660 She was great.

00:19:15.240 That's it.

00:19:17.280 That's as far as I can go.

00:19:20.180 It really is amazing.

00:19:22.560 Why would you want to do that?

00:19:23.840 Of all things, you know, I guess at this point they just want to overturn everything

00:19:27.760 because they see the Constitution being upheld, and that's the problem here,

00:19:32.880 is that, you know, again, the Supreme Court did not take away a right.

00:19:37.800 They said the right didn't exist the whole time, which is true. 1.00

00:19:42.480 And they took the power away from themselves.

00:19:45.760 The Supreme Court initially created this right out of thin air, which is their argument, by the way.

00:19:51.500 Not my argument.

00:19:52.780 Their argument is they acknowledge it wasn't around during the time of the 14th Amendment

00:19:57.660 because almost everybody had banned abortion at the time of the 14th Amendment.

00:20:00.460 So they can't argue it was the initial intent.

00:20:02.580 They just said later on they believe that with updating standards it's a living document,

00:20:08.680 and now that power of the 14th Amendment includes abortion.

00:20:12.780 They, the Supreme Court, a bunch of men, created the right,

00:20:17.140 and then a later Supreme Court said, yeah, you can't just create rights like that.

00:20:21.240 That's not what you do.

00:20:22.200 So they took the power out of their own hands, and people are still incredibly angry at them.

00:20:28.760 It really is utterly amazing.

00:20:30.480 So I don't think people understand, I don't think people understand the second part of that.

00:20:33.980 They took it out of their hands because they said it's not a right in the Constitution.

00:20:42.860 It's not like they said, no, that's not a right.

00:20:46.580 They said that's not a right that the federal government has purview over.

00:20:51.500 The federal government has certain things that they have, all the Bill of Rights, all those,

00:20:59.820 that's what the federal government cannot do, okay?

00:21:03.340 They can't violate any of those.

00:21:05.480 Well, they're violating all of those right now.

00:21:07.600 Nobody seems to care.

00:21:08.980 But it's what the government cannot do.

00:21:12.540 Any other right not listed there goes to the people and to the state.

00:21:19.100 So you might have the right, I haven't heard a good case on it, you might have the right to abortion. 0.99

00:21:26.920 But that's for the people and the state to decide, not the federal government.

00:21:35.180 And some state constitutions allow for that right.

00:21:38.200 I mean, again, I think that's morally reprehensible, but that is in several state constitutions.

00:21:44.340 And you can get those abortions there for the time being, at least.

00:21:48.100 But, you know, the whole point of this, and this is in several of these.

00:21:51.580 It was also in the EPA case and several others of this session.

00:21:56.180 It was a theme.

00:21:57.300 We are not the ones that are supposed to make these decisions.

00:21:59.660 If you guys want to do these things, pass laws.

00:22:04.420 Start passing laws if you want these things to be done.

00:22:08.100 Go within the constitutional bounds of your power and pass laws.

00:22:12.920 Stop acting like we're going to do all this stuff for you.

00:22:15.980 That's not our job.

00:22:17.360 That's them saying, hey, we aren't going to take the power.

00:22:22.100 We are actually going to cede the power, which for some reason the left wants us to have.

00:22:28.440 We're going to cede it back to the legislators where it belongs.

00:22:31.180 That is what they've been doing over and over again.

00:22:33.180 That's how this is supposed to work.

00:22:36.300 So what is what's crazy?

00:22:38.860 Let me do one more thing here on abortion. 1.00

00:22:42.620 If you look at the numbers, more than one in three, 37 percent said their state should allow abortion only in cases of rape and incest.

00:22:54.360 Thirty seven percent.

00:22:56.340 Another 12 percent favored allowing abortion only in the first six weeks of pregnancy.

00:23:02.840 And that's when you can detect a baby's heartbeat.

00:23:06.740 You said how many was that?

00:23:07.800 Combine those two.

00:23:08.360 Yeah, it was 16 percent, you said?

00:23:11.080 Twelve.

00:23:11.880 Twelve.

00:23:12.120 So we're up at half, basically.

00:23:13.540 So, yeah, we're at forty nine percent of the country that would say six weeks.

00:23:19.320 That's it.

00:23:19.960 Six weeks or less.

00:23:20.760 Half of the country.

00:23:21.900 Yeah.

00:23:22.660 OK.

00:23:23.120 Another twenty three percent would support a ban at fifteen percent, meaning seventy two percent of the country agrees with what Mississippi brought in front of the Supreme Court because they said they wanted a 15 week ban on abortions.

00:23:40.540 Women are more pro-life than men, and I think that's absolutely, absolutely explainable. 0.57

00:23:50.040 It's a woman's body. 1.00

00:23:51.260 You don't have a right to say anything.

00:23:53.100 I completely disagree with that, but how many guys are a keep the options open and be and be been just bullied into not having an opinion.

00:24:04.680 I think that's true.

00:24:07.980 I think the, you know, look, think of the stereotypical situation that you'd think of in these cases.

00:24:14.680 Guy goes out, hooks up with a girl.

00:24:16.740 He finds it a bar.

00:24:17.780 They go back to the house.

00:24:19.040 They they do their thing.

00:24:21.020 They they she's pregnant and he's the one that's like, oh, I don't even want to talk to her again, let alone raise a child with her. 1.00

00:24:28.420 So please.

00:24:29.360 Yeah.

00:24:29.540 Abortion.

00:24:29.960 It's great.

00:24:30.360 Women's rights. 0.96

00:24:30.960 Yeah.

00:24:31.160 You can be please.

00:24:31.860 Oh, my gosh.

00:24:32.600 Women's right to choose. 1.00

00:24:33.480 It's so important to me.

00:24:34.460 What a fundamental right this is.

00:24:36.400 They just want to get out of what they've done.

00:24:38.540 Right.

00:24:38.700 They want to avoid the responsibility.

00:24:40.520 So stereotypically, you assume that the guys would be the ones pushing for this.

00:24:46.880 By the way, I might remind you, it was seven guys who brought the right to you.

00:24:51.560 So, you know, for all the the thoughts that men shouldn't have an opinion here, the only person involved in a major abortion case that actually decided it, that was a woman, really was was Amy Coney Barrett.

00:25:06.880 But I mean, I guess in Casey, you can make the argument, but still, I mean, Amy Coney Barrett's the one who was involved here.

00:25:13.440 She's a woman. 0.82

00:25:14.440 There were no women involved in the Roe versus Wade decision at the Supreme Court level.

00:25:21.180 Here's the most telling part of the the poll majority.

00:25:24.580 Fifty five percent said they opposed overturning Roe versus Wade, even though seventy two percent would support a law that Roe would have struck down.

00:25:36.900 What's more, twenty five percent, only twenty five percent agreed that the Supreme Court, as opposed to state or federal lawmakers, should set the standards on abortion.

00:25:49.480 So. Amazing. Wait, seventy two percent support the law that it just overturned, that it are that it just made possible by overturning it.

00:26:03.720 And only twenty five percent say the decision should be in the hands of the Supreme Court, which is what the Supreme Court said.

00:26:10.480 Mm hmm. Yeah. So basically what that tells you is that people just don't know what Roe versus Wade means.

00:26:15.560 They think Roe versus Wade means if you overturn it, abortion goes away completely.

00:26:19.660 They, of course, will learn very soon that that's not the case because seventy two percent support the Mississippi law.

00:26:26.560 And, you know, twenty five percent like want the Supreme Court to make these rules.

00:26:31.260 Well, that's what Roe versus Wade was.

00:26:32.840 So you can't support Roe versus Wade and oppose the Supreme Court coming up with the rules there.

00:26:39.700 A whole argument in Roe versus Wade was you guys are really kind of at odds here.

00:26:45.480 Why don't we come in and say, well, let's make up a standard and that will solve the problem.

00:26:49.460 And then Casey came along and they said, hey, that Roe versus Wade thing sure didn't solve the problem.

00:26:54.380 We're going to give you a new standard, a new idea.

00:26:57.160 Now it's going to be viability and that'll solve it for you guys.

00:27:00.260 Yes. And it didn't solve it at all.

00:27:03.360 And then this Supreme Court said, hey, maybe we shouldn't be giving you the standards.

00:27:07.400 Maybe you guys should solve this on your own through the normal process instead of us trying to come up with some universal solution for everybody.

00:27:14.400 And that's what everyone seems to want in the poll.

00:27:17.980 But they have absolutely no idea what Roe versus Wade is other than people who oppose it are evil.

00:27:23.580 Yeah. And the people who are for it apparently love children and women. 0.91

00:27:29.740 And even though now the New York has gone crazy, absolutely crazy.

00:27:36.960 Not only their gun, their new gun, concealed carry permit.

00:27:45.880 What do you call it?

00:27:47.500 I don't even know.

00:27:48.780 Bureaucracy.

00:27:50.680 It's worse than it was.

00:27:52.760 It's worse than it was now.

00:27:55.220 And there's no way this stands up in court.

00:27:58.240 No, no way this stands up in court.

00:28:00.240 And New York also said that they need to crack down on the pregnancy centers that are offering life because they say they are offering disinformation by saying that it's a baby already inside of you.

00:28:19.220 Uh, and the other disinformation is you're already a mother. 0.98

00:28:24.380 You're, you're carrying your child right now.

00:28:26.700 So you already are a mother.

00:28:28.200 Those are the two pieces of misinformation or disinformation they say that they have to crack down on.

00:28:34.980 So they are now cracking down.

00:28:36.420 It doesn't matter.

00:28:37.200 New York, you can have all the abortions you want. 1.00

00:28:39.620 Celebrate all the abortions. 0.91

00:28:40.780 Yeah, we'll send you cakes.

00:28:42.460 Just all the abortions you want. 1.00

00:28:44.840 That's not good enough.

00:28:46.000 They have to stop those 20% that go to these pregnancy centers and have their minds changed.

00:28:56.220 Interesting times we live in.

00:28:58.220 You will be forced to participate.

00:29:04.240 This is the best of the Glenn Beck program.

00:29:16.000 So I was reading something, uh, while I was, um, while I was away from the Epic times and it's the five stages of, of totalitarianism.

00:29:28.800 And have you noticed both sides are worried about totalitarianism?

00:29:34.880 The, uh, Antifa is saying, you know, it's the religious totalitarian, you know, and Donald Trump, the totalitarian.

00:29:43.300 And that's exactly what the other side is afraid of.

00:29:48.780 Now, I'm not going to argue which side.

00:29:53.420 I just want to give you the five stages of totalitarianism and see if any of these connect with you and see if any of these things, uh, have happened yet.

00:30:06.500 The first thing is discontent and rumblings.

00:30:10.200 You can't start a totalitarian, uh, government, uh, until you're standing on the ash heap of the government and of the society that, that was you.

00:30:25.860 If you want a new regime, you have to generate dissatisfaction with a status quo.

00:30:31.060 Um, you have to get people to despise the old order.

00:30:36.900 Um, you have to get people to believe that they can't do anything because of the old order.

00:30:45.020 Um, and, and then present this new thing as a, as a solution to all of those problems.

00:30:53.980 Now, has that happened?

00:30:58.220 Is there someone preaching a new world order?

00:31:02.300 Is there someone preaching new ideas?

00:31:06.080 Capitalism has failed.

00:31:08.340 Our families are failing us.

00:31:10.780 Is there anybody that is suggesting that everything is failing us and seems to want to even see it burn to the ground?

00:31:24.740 That's the first step.

00:31:26.540 The Bolshevik revolution in Russia in 1917, it established a totalitarian regime and it was very, very bloody, much more bloody than the revolution in France, which ended in, you know, guillotines.

00:31:45.000 Because this, uh, was, you know, the reign of terror in Russia was beyond anything that you could imagine.

00:31:57.360 The people were disenfranchised.

00:31:59.880 They no longer believed in the czar.

00:32:01.760 They had been defeated in war.

00:32:04.680 Um, they were hungry.

00:32:07.540 Um, the, uh, transportation in the city started to break down.

00:32:12.160 And, and once, once your transportation breaks down, that causes food and fuel shortages and that causes riots.

00:32:22.020 Then Adolf Hitler, he did the same thing. 0.87

00:32:25.380 It was bubbling with discontent.

00:32:28.540 Uh, they had the treaty of Versailles.

00:32:31.200 They had just left a humiliation on the battlefield.

00:32:35.100 The, um, treaty of Versailles was, um, uh, was humiliating to them.

00:32:42.160 And then they, because of the, the, uh, treaty, they had horrible economics.

00:32:48.540 They went into hyperinflation and then Germany starts to default on its patient, uh, on its, uh, payments.

00:32:56.760 And now you start to have occupied territories of Germany, et cetera, et cetera.

00:33:01.540 Made the people poor, hungry, and angry.

00:33:05.160 Russia, poor, hungry, angry. 0.99

00:33:11.400 France, poor, hungry, angry.

00:33:14.220 None of them believed in the old system.

00:33:18.040 So there's your first step.

00:33:20.900 Are we poor, hungry, and angry?

00:33:25.540 Well, I would suggest that we are angry.

00:33:28.460 We have our share of anger.

00:33:29.760 Uh, are we poor?

00:33:33.320 What time is it?

00:33:36.540 We're on our way to poverty.

00:33:39.320 Are we hungry?

00:33:42.100 We don't think hunger could really happen here in America.

00:33:45.620 Because we're the breadbasket of the world.

00:33:47.940 Except we're not the breadbasket of the world anymore.

00:33:51.880 It's the second thing.

00:33:56.380 The false savior and the first revolution.

00:34:00.540 So once people identify, uh, the discontent and appeal to that, the totalitarian presents himself as a savior.

00:34:09.540 In stage two, the revolutionary totalitarian enacts a dramatic change to solve the problems and discontent, discontent of stage one.

00:34:20.000 To find a solution to its debt crisis, the French government called the estate's general assembly to advise the king on what to do.

00:34:29.580 Third estate quickly claimed full governmental authority as a national assembly.

00:34:35.260 The national assembly wanted to draw up a new constitution that would change the nature of the government to deal with all of the injustices.

00:34:43.040 Does this sound familiar?

00:34:44.300 After the storming of the Bastille, peasants in rural areas revolted against their lords.

00:34:50.000 Uh, the national assembly then declared feudalism abolished and introduced the declaration of the rights of man and of the citizen.

00:34:58.120 And then you had the execution of King Louie.

00:35:03.360 No one could stop the ferociousness, if you will, uh, of the bloodbath.

00:35:10.980 Russia, the Bolsheviks took advantage of the food riots that began in early 1917.

00:35:17.840 When the military began siding with the rioting workers rather than, you know, restoring law and order.

00:35:26.000 Nicholas, the czar, uh, resigned and then was shot.

00:35:30.700 Then the Soviets quickly took control of Russia and their slogan was peace, land, and bread. 0.82

00:35:41.400 And many angry people looked at them as saviors.

00:35:48.160 Same thing with Nazism. 0.84

00:35:50.660 The third stage, censorship, persecution, propaganda, and ending of opposition.

00:35:59.860 So now you have the savior on board.

00:36:03.980 You have a plan.

00:36:05.880 They're changing absolutely everything.

00:36:08.660 They want to change the way you talk to one another, your traditions, uh, even your language.

00:36:18.280 They have presented a plan to change everything.

00:36:23.820 But stage three, uh, happens after stage two has passed.

00:36:31.400 The old order has been fundamentally changed.

00:36:35.740 So we're there right now.

00:36:37.860 We are still, I think, having to change some things, but think about it.

00:36:41.640 Our banking system is no longer the banking system we had.

00:36:45.480 Uh, our businesses are not the businesses we had.

00:36:49.680 Our way of communicating with each other, not the way we've always communicated.

00:36:54.000 Even the understanding of freedom of speech.

00:36:57.800 Our press is fundamentally different.

00:37:00.320 All of it.

00:37:02.400 So the old order has been fundamentally changed.

00:37:05.980 And now the various forces begin to react.

00:37:09.140 The rising totalitarian government faces many enemies, often dubbed counter-revolutionaries or extremists.

00:37:18.740 In its infancy, the new order must struggle to gain more power and maintain that which has been acquired.

00:37:27.140 For this reason, it sets about combating its enemies through censorship and persecution.

00:37:33.800 Does any of this make sense?

00:37:35.720 Does any of this ring like you've seen this movie?

00:37:38.620 As soon as they gained sway over their countries, the first move of totalitarians like Hitler and Vladimir Lenin was to censor the opposition and put out propaganda.

00:37:50.440 Each of the totalitarian leaders also gained control of education and had a secret police force to monitor or even kill anyone designated as an enemy.

00:38:03.300 Another strategy was to establish youth organizations to indoctrinate citizens in the state's propaganda from an early age and tear their loyalties away from family or religion.

00:38:17.000 Religion was almost universally persecuted once these regimes came to power.

00:38:22.600 Huh.

00:38:28.000 I'm not saying we're in stage three.

00:38:32.380 But stage three sounds familiar.

00:38:36.440 Na na na na na.
