00:00:00.000 What a great podcast for you today. This Thursday, we are starting with climate change, all of the things that otherwise known as the commander in chief is doing on climate change and how we are being positioned to be in a place where our enemies look at us like a total joke.

00:00:24.000 And how do we fight back, especially when we don't have any oil in our strategic oil reserve? We're about 30 percent of the oil reserve right now. We are also selling a million barrels a day overseas, million barrels a day out of our strategic oil reserve.

00:00:45.300 And we just sold a million barrels to China. And the Congress has decided yesterday that, gosh, darn it, they just don't see a problem with that. 0.78

00:00:54.240 They will not pass a bill that says that Joe Biden cannot sell any more oil to China. 0.90

00:01:00.820 By the way, their strategic reserve is the highest levels it's ever been.

00:01:05.760 Why doesn't that make sense? Also, is Joe Biden being extorted by his son?

00:01:13.720 I explain also a school district here in America that has been taken over by the DOJ.

00:01:20.380 And while we're on the DOJ, we also talked about the FBI going door to door in Delaware asking for your gun to be able to see your gun because you have a concealed carry permit.

00:01:34.080 That's happening also with the ATF in Missouri.

00:01:38.780 We tell you both of those stories and what you need to know about them all on today's podcast brought to you by Goldline.

00:01:46.980 If you think our economy isn't in for a beaten, well, you haven't been paying attention.

00:02:10.200 Your money is becoming valueless.

00:02:12.540 Your dollar is becoming worth less and less and less until it becomes worthless because we've gone insane.

00:02:58.720 866-GOLDLINE.

00:03:06.860 You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck program.

00:03:10.800 All right.

00:03:14.820 I want to talk to you a little bit about what is happening in our country.

00:03:20.140 And years ago, I said, they're going to tear us apart and we're going to come to a place where you won't recognize your country. 0.99

00:03:27.680 Check.

00:03:28.120 And at some point, we are going to be so weak in the world that our enemies will say, now, go, go, go, go, go, go.

00:03:37.920 And they'll pick us apart one piece at a time.

00:03:41.780 Check.

00:03:44.100 Let's look at what's happening right now.

00:03:46.720 Our military cannot recruit enough soldiers to be able to have a real standing army.

00:03:56.780 We're 50% behind where we need to be in recruiting.

00:04:01.940 And they say next year is going to be worse.

00:04:04.300 This is the worst time to recruit, get this, since Vietnam. 1.00

00:04:11.320 But you ask yourself, who would join?

00:04:13.760 Who would join?

00:04:14.380 There's no honor in it anymore.

00:04:17.140 Afghanistan took care of that.

00:04:19.240 There's no honor.

00:04:20.700 There's no victory.

00:04:22.400 There's no big vision.

00:04:24.400 I mean, unless your big vision is explore your own sexuality and pronouns.

00:04:30.020 I don't want to go.

00:04:31.600 I'm going to be a justice warrior, a social justice warrior.

00:04:34.560 No, thank you.

00:04:35.480 You think any kid and most of the kids that sign up are from red states.

00:04:40.540 Blue states have been living off of the blood of the red states' children long enough. 0.97

00:04:47.900 You think they want to go and be a social justice warrior?

00:04:51.760 I don't think so.

00:04:53.300 Our commander-in-chief is not a commander.

00:04:56.420 He does not command respect.

00:04:58.860 The office does, but he doesn't.

00:05:01.880 He can't string two sentences together.

00:05:04.220 So, do we look weak to the rest of the world?

00:05:10.680 Okay.

00:05:11.440 Now add in Russia and Ukraine.

00:05:15.000 What did we do there?

00:05:16.540 We said we are going to put the strongest sanctions the world has ever seen,

00:05:21.180 and we're going to bring Putin down to his knees.

00:05:24.580 Have we done that?

00:05:28.040 Do you know that Russia can sell its oil and is selling its oil,

00:05:32.100 and in fact, now doing financially better than before this thing all started?

00:05:39.300 So, we didn't bring him to his knees.

00:05:41.520 We brought Europe to their knees.

00:05:43.560 We brought ourselves to our knees.

00:05:46.620 Europe now is going to begin rationing oil, rationing fuel.

00:05:52.380 We have the highest gas prices in history,

00:05:56.780 and our president has now twice begged the Saudis,

00:06:01.600 please, please send us more oil,

00:06:04.260 and the Saudis have turned him down.

00:06:08.320 Two times.

00:06:11.640 Hmm.

00:06:13.920 Do you think the world is sensing weakness?

00:06:17.580 Now, meanwhile, we have released oil from our strategic oil reserve,

00:06:23.840 and this kills me.

00:06:26.040 What is the strategic oil reserve?

00:06:28.660 The strategic oil reserve was built in the 70s,

00:06:32.220 specifically in case there's a run on oil and a shortage of oil,

00:06:37.940 we would have enough to run our military long enough

00:06:42.400 so we could ramp up production of oil here in the United States.

00:06:46.360 Well, we are at the lowest reserve point that we've been since Jimmy Carter.

00:06:54.220 As of July 5th, we only had 488 million barrels in our strategic oil reserve.

00:07:01.000 That's down 15% from March.

00:07:05.200 And know that we are now selling 1 million barrels a day?

00:07:10.140 That puts us in a real problem, doesn't it?

00:07:18.220 The strategic oil reserve can hold 726 million barrels, I think.

00:07:24.280 A million barrels a day released until October.

00:07:27.860 That's 180 million barrels.

00:07:30.060 This will leave us somewhere in the 300s.

00:07:36.720 By the way, President Biden says he's going to use the money that we're making off of it right now

00:07:41.260 to buy more petroleum.

00:07:45.060 You know, when the price comes down this fall,

00:07:48.300 oh, it's going to come down this fall.

00:07:50.500 Okay.

00:07:51.160 All right.

00:07:51.860 And you saved that money, did you?

00:07:54.080 Yeah.

00:07:54.580 Yeah.

00:07:55.440 And there's another question here.

00:07:57.820 Why did we sell oil to China?

00:08:01.540 Now, we can, I suppose.

00:08:04.160 We can.

00:08:05.160 We never have.

00:08:07.640 In fact, it's very, very rare to sell it to another country.

00:08:13.640 It's even more rare to sell it to a country and have them take it offshore.

00:08:19.620 For instance, we've sold to BP before, British Petroleum.

00:08:23.520 But they haven't taken it offshore.

00:08:26.140 That's extraordinarily rare.

00:08:29.080 But we've never sold it to China.

00:08:33.080 And especially a company that has Hunter Biden on its board of the parent company.

00:08:40.580 Yeah, that's weird, isn't it?

00:08:42.240 We sold China a million barrels.

00:08:45.780 Now, is that because they need oil?

00:08:48.880 They're having such an oil crisis?

00:08:50.960 Yeah.

00:08:51.520 No, that's not it.

00:08:52.920 If you look at what China is doing, 0.53

00:08:56.680 China is actually storing oil.

00:09:00.640 They are up to almost 800 million barrels of oil in their strategic oil reserve.

00:09:06.680 That's up from about 600 million barrels.

00:09:10.660 So they're good.

00:09:12.960 They're good.

00:09:14.000 So we've just taken oil from our strategic oil reserves and we've sent it over to China.

00:09:21.240 Okay.

00:09:24.820 Do you think our, do you think the world respects us on this?

00:09:29.460 Do you think they're seeing, oh yeah, no, there's method to the madness on that one.

00:09:32.660 Our economy is weak.

00:09:37.920 Our society can't think.

00:09:40.580 Our society won't even work.

00:09:43.340 It's not like we have so, we've created so many jobs.

00:09:46.720 These are the same jobs that were filled by people just a few months ago or a year ago.

00:09:54.820 This, when we hit COVID, these jobs were all filled.

00:09:58.960 We can't fill them now.

00:10:01.580 Why?

00:10:02.400 Because people won't work.

00:10:07.360 I'm building a barn.

00:10:08.420 I'm waiting for some steel to come in.

00:10:10.360 I ordered it.

00:10:11.040 I don't know how long ago.

00:10:12.920 The company has called and said, hey, I know we were supposed to have it in spring.

00:10:16.920 Then we were going to have it in July.

00:10:18.600 We hope to have it in August.

00:10:20.780 Why?

00:10:21.320 I thought you guys made steel.

00:10:23.000 I didn't want to ship it from China.

00:10:25.680 No, we do make steel.

00:10:27.620 Quote, we can't get anyone to come in to work to make the steel.

00:10:35.640 Oh, well, that's going to bode well for us.

00:10:37.640 That's, no, that's good.

00:10:38.740 That's good.

00:10:41.820 I don't know if you've seen the photos of, I don't know, Harry Levine and Oscar the Grouch,

00:10:50.100 whatever those two are, the cross-dressers, I'm sorry, the transgender one and the, I 1.00

00:10:57.320 don't know, non-binary person that both dressed up in dresses and went to the thing at the

00:11:04.780 French embassy to celebrate Bastille Day with the French. 0.98

00:11:08.540 We sent these two clowns. 0.96

00:11:11.880 We sent a guy who got his own mother out of a nursing home before he condemned all the 0.97

00:11:16.800 other mothers to death sentences in the nursing homes during the COVID pandemic, and a guy

00:11:23.160 who teaches people how to wear diapers and fantasy role play as babies or puppies, dog

00:11:29.080 collar and all.

00:11:31.200 Yeah, I think we're sending a great message there.

00:11:34.700 But you know what?

00:11:35.580 At least they're, they're less likely to be blackmailed than the president's son.

00:11:44.320 But let me get back to China.

00:11:46.440 We gave them a multi-billion dollar airport in Afghanistan.

00:11:51.560 We built it.

00:11:52.900 They took it.

00:11:54.560 And at our expense and our blood, we built that thing.

00:11:58.620 And now they have a very important strategic base of operations.

00:12:01.880 We sell our strategic oil, a million barrels.

00:12:05.320 Then, by the way, they're filling up their S, their SPR.

00:12:09.920 We're not, what are we doing?

00:12:14.740 Hunter Biden looks like he was involved in that deal.

00:12:20.240 But is, are we looking at blackmail of this president because of the China deals?

00:12:26.580 Or are we just looking at a guy who is cool with communism as a president?

00:12:34.640 And I think that's possible.

00:12:38.580 Last night I did something on Hunter Biden and it dawned on me halfway through.

00:12:43.460 It dawned on me that, wait a minute, wait a minute.

00:12:46.060 I don't know if China is being blackmailed or is blackmailing the president or Hunter Biden.

00:12:52.280 I think, actually, Hunter Biden is blackmailing his father.

00:12:58.660 What set this line of thinking off was this.

00:13:01.660 Listen to this voicemail from Hunter Biden's dad about an article in the New York Times that tried to clean up his mess in China.

00:13:13.880 Listen to this.

00:13:14.520 Hey, pal, it's dad.

00:13:17.440 It's 8.15 on Wednesday night.

00:13:22.160 If you get a chance, give me a call.

00:13:23.560 Nothing urgent.

00:13:25.220 I just want to talk to you.

00:13:26.160 I thought the article, at least the thing on online, is going to be printed tomorrow in the Times.

00:13:30.840 It was good.

00:13:32.100 I need you clear.

00:13:36.380 I think you're clear.

00:13:38.240 This is from a guy who was at the time saying that he didn't involve himself in any business dealings with his son.

00:13:46.160 Why would his son keep that voicemail?

00:13:50.600 Because that doesn't, that's not like a, hey, buddy, you know what?

00:13:54.140 I'm just thinking about you.

00:13:55.240 You're such a great guy and I just love you.

00:13:57.800 I was remembering the time we went fishing.

00:13:59.700 Something that you would want to remember for the rest of your life.

00:14:02.720 This is your dad calling and saying, hey, on your business deal, I think you're in the clear.

00:14:10.700 When you know your dad is saying that he doesn't know anything about this stuff, why would you keep that particular voicemail?

00:14:21.280 Why would you leave all of your stuff to laptops he has lost?

00:14:28.000 I don't know how many phones he's lost. 0.95

00:14:29.660 Now, yes, he's a drug addict.

00:14:32.720 But there is a method even to the madness of alcoholism or drug addicts.

00:14:39.220 Any alcoholic will tell you that you do things, whether you know it or not, when you're in the throes of wanting to stop and everybody wants to stop.

00:14:49.340 They just don't know how to stop.

00:14:51.820 You can't do it on your own and you can't do it until you've really hit your bottom.

00:14:58.900 But you still want to stop even though you haven't hit your bottom.

00:15:02.720 Hunter Biden despises his father.

00:15:05.600 No matter what he says, he despises his father.

00:15:08.380 And this is why I say this.

00:15:10.440 Remember the emails that he wrote to the rest of his family about pop and how pop takes 50 percent of everything that I do.

00:15:20.220 You guys don't have to put up with it, but I got to do all the dirty work.

00:15:24.100 And pop has me running around and then he takes 50 percent.

00:15:28.360 Do you remember that email?

00:15:31.000 He really, I think, wants his father's love.

00:15:35.940 Sure.

00:15:36.620 But I think he despises him at the same time.

00:15:39.720 And his father enables him to continue this horrid lifestyle because it's to Joe Biden's, to his, not credit, but it helps Joe Biden.

00:15:56.060 So he needs Hunter Biden.

00:15:59.520 And I think he needs to be able to manipulate and control.

00:16:03.380 And the way you do that is always be the guy who's there to rescue you with some money.

00:16:08.520 So why would you lose all of these laptops and not just lose it?

00:16:16.980 He lost it at a shop where it becomes public property.

00:16:22.400 And he signed this contract 30 days after it's left.

00:16:26.720 Six months later, after phone calls, he still hadn't picked it up.

00:16:32.200 He knew it was there.

00:16:34.400 So why didn't he pick it up?

00:16:36.040 I think this is something that alcoholics do where it's self-sabotage.

00:16:42.880 You sabotage yourself whether you know it or not.

00:16:46.020 You're trying to, it's a cry for help.

00:16:48.680 It's a cry for help.

00:16:50.060 You want to stop.

00:16:52.220 All right.

00:16:52.980 So now we have the voicemail where he's saving this thing that is incriminating, only incriminating, of his father. 0.96

00:17:00.120 He also has on his laptop, he has all of his father's stuff under the category of pedo Pete, as in pedophile Pete. 0.68

00:17:13.660 Pete was the name, a code name that his father used.

00:17:16.720 Why would you do that?

00:17:20.620 Especially when you're looking at a guy who's creepily sniffing heads and your sister wrote in her diary about sexual abuse.

00:17:33.620 Why would you do that?

00:17:35.120 This is the best of the Glenn Beck program.

00:17:42.100 I want to impress on you in the clearest terms that I can use that any emergency order from this president is a grave, grave danger to freedom in America.

00:18:07.780 You know, we look at national emergencies like Katrina, et cetera, et cetera.

00:18:15.460 We understand.

00:18:16.360 Okay.

00:18:17.380 Got to do, we got to all pull together and do this.

00:18:19.340 This is something that only 20% of the American people and 30% of Democrats actually believe should be a priority.

00:18:30.620 And that is climate change.

00:18:32.340 This is not about the climate.

00:18:35.460 This is about the economy.

00:18:38.720 This is all about changing us from a free market to a managed market.

00:18:45.020 One that is more closely aligned to fascism, the technical definition of fascism than than anything regarding a free market.

00:18:56.380 Joe Biden is doing this now because he cannot get his legislation through and he doesn't like it.

00:19:05.460 Well, this is exactly what if sorry, what Woodrow Wilson went through.

00:19:11.000 And he said at that time, well, the people are wrong and I'm just going to have to go out and convince him because he couldn't declare a national emergency.

00:19:21.100 Although he was the guy, the first national emergency was under Woodrow Wilson and it gives the power to the president beyond the constitution.

00:19:31.980 He has absolute power.

00:19:35.240 So, here's what the president said.

00:19:39.140 Here's cut one of president yesterday on climate change.

00:19:42.580 He spends a lot of time introducing people in this one.

00:19:56.560 We should probably jump to the next cut on this where he's talking climate change because it's agonizing.

00:20:02.060 My department of labor led by a guy named Marty Walsh.

00:20:06.360 He talks funny.

00:20:07.580 He's a hell of a guy.

00:20:09.840 But all kidding aside, Marty was a great mayor and I know I know he knows how to get a job done.

00:20:15.360 And he's doing two things for me.

00:20:17.620 First of all, the secretary of labor, he's developing the first ever workplace standards for extreme heat.

00:20:23.120 Second, he's sending folks out from the labor department to make sure we hold workplaces and to those standards that are being set.

00:20:39.180 They've already completed over 500 heat related inspections of workplaces across 43 states.

00:20:45.500 And at the end of the day, it's going to save lives.

00:20:47.400 Okay, he's creating a workplace standard for extreme heat.

00:20:53.740 What does that mean?

00:20:55.480 That means they can shut down businesses if it's too hot by their estimation.

00:21:00.620 They shut down businesses.

00:21:01.960 The way a revolution works is you first take the legal code and you make everything illegal.

00:21:13.320 So no matter what someone is doing, you can find a way to nail them for something.

00:21:21.360 And so there's all these laws that you don't even know about that you can get nailed on.

00:21:28.000 So that way they can take out anybody they want.

00:21:31.120 Any business they want, they can close down.

00:21:34.460 So they have absolute control over your business.

00:21:38.160 Yeah, and who decides what's extreme heat and what's not?

00:21:43.980 The government does.

00:21:45.540 So at any time they choose, any time they deem that they think it's necessary, they could just shut you down.

00:21:54.340 Just like they proved during the pandemic.

00:21:56.460 Although, you know, there might have been a little bit more reason for it then than if it's extreme heat.

00:22:01.620 Are you kidding?

00:22:02.440 That's what air conditioning is for.

00:22:04.640 Get off me. 0.85

00:22:05.860 But he also had this frightening thing to say about not taking no for an answer.

00:22:13.200 Cut 16.

00:22:15.280 When it comes to fighting for climate change, I will not take no for an answer.

00:22:23.000 I will do everything in my power to clean our air and water, protect our people's health, to win the clean energy future.

00:22:30.120 This, again, sounds like hyperbole, but our children and grandchildren are counting on us.

00:22:36.400 Not a joke.

00:22:37.820 Not a joke.

00:22:38.820 Oh, God.

00:22:39.780 I know.

00:22:40.040 If we don't keep it to a 1.5 degree centigrade, we lose it all.

00:22:44.580 We don't get to turn it around.

00:22:46.820 And the world is counting on us.

00:22:49.440 Uh-huh.

00:22:50.320 This is the United States of America.

00:22:52.220 Wow, this is dangerous.

00:22:53.100 When we put our hearts and minds to it, there's not a single thing beyond our capacity.

00:22:57.980 I mean it.

00:22:59.000 He means it.

00:22:59.500 When we act together.

00:23:00.200 It's not a joke.

00:23:01.160 And of all things we should be acting together on, it's climate.

00:23:05.100 No.

00:23:05.620 It's climate.

00:23:06.500 It's climate.

00:23:07.240 It's climate.

00:23:07.460 And by the way, my dear mother, God rest her soul, you say, Joey, at everything bad, something good will come if you look hard enough.

00:23:14.300 Look what's happening.

00:23:15.820 Look what's happening.

00:23:16.460 We're going to be able to create as many or more good-paying jobs.

00:23:20.040 Uh-huh.

00:23:20.500 We're going to make environments where people live safer.

00:23:24.060 We're going to make the air safer.

00:23:26.100 I really mean it.

00:23:27.420 We have an opportunity here.

00:23:29.740 I'll bet you when you see what's happened here in this cable construction here, manufacturing, you go back and ask all the people who grew up in this beautiful place.

00:23:39.100 Yeah, look how beautiful it is.

00:23:40.160 What they'd rather have.

00:23:41.060 That's lovely.

00:23:42.060 They want the plant back?

00:23:43.820 With everything it had?

00:23:44.840 All right.

00:23:45.140 That's good.

00:23:45.580 That's good.

00:23:46.840 What he's saying is.

00:23:48.100 Good God.

00:23:48.720 He won't.

00:23:49.840 And they won't entertain any dissension on this issue because, as they've been claiming for 30 years now, it's settled science and there's consensus.

00:24:00.380 And nothing could be further from the truth.

00:24:02.340 There's all kinds of people who used to be on that side of the fence now saying, hey, this alarmist stuff is not necessary.

00:24:10.680 It's not really what's happening.

00:24:12.040 Stop frightening people.

00:24:14.140 And they've completely freaked out our children over this thing.

00:24:19.420 All our children are lost on this.

00:24:21.440 Yep.

00:24:21.680 They believe it 110% that we're all going to die.

00:24:25.180 Yep.

00:24:25.380 And, you know, and your parents just don't get it.

00:24:28.440 But you know things that your parents don't know and don't understand.

00:24:32.360 I mean, that has been their MO.

00:24:34.660 And, by the way, we can't stop the world from warming if the United States shuts everything off and China just keeps building more heavy coal power plants.

00:24:46.780 I mean, because that's what they're doing.

00:24:49.160 That's what they're doing.

00:24:51.680 They are.

00:24:52.700 They're building 8.63 gigawatts of coal power plants in the first quarter of this year.

00:25:00.840 That's nearly 50% of the capacity approved in all of 2021.

00:25:09.520 In the first quarter of a year, they're doing what they did in an entire year, 50% increase.

00:25:18.360 Are you?

00:25:18.620 Is all that smog going to stay over there, or how's that going to work?

00:25:26.520 Yeah, we put up an air barrier between us and China. 0.79

00:25:30.500 They expect nothing out of China. 0.84

00:25:32.380 And then they say that China's on the cutting edge of this climate change stuff.

00:25:39.000 Yeah, are they?

00:25:39.800 Yeah.

00:25:40.760 Look, Joe Manchin said it best.

00:25:44.040 He said, Mr. President, this piece of legislation is going to change our country from when John Kennedy said,

00:25:50.920 ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.

00:25:54.940 That piece of legislation will change us to how much more can my country do for me?

00:26:01.760 We are $30.5 trillion in debt and climbing.

00:26:06.100 We have to be serious about this.

00:26:08.860 Inflation is wreaking havoc on everyone's life.

00:26:11.960 I don't care what social rung you're on.

00:26:16.060 So that's why that one was killed.

00:26:19.240 This bill was killed.

00:26:20.800 There's no such thing as build back better again.

00:26:25.820 He says this is a game changer, and it is.

00:26:30.700 And I'm telling you now, I said this months ago.

00:26:36.020 A state of emergency is going to be declared.

00:26:42.480 And that is, we've had states of emergencies before.

00:26:47.280 And I really don't understand.

00:26:49.640 I can understand the left when they thought Donald Trump was going to be a dictator.

00:26:56.000 And he would declare martial law in an emergency, and he would just take over everything.

00:27:02.160 I can understand that.

00:27:03.320 I don't agree with you.

00:27:04.760 But I can understand how you got there.

00:27:07.640 Okay?

00:27:08.700 Completely understand.

00:27:10.200 I think it was rational for you to think that as a Democrat.

00:27:15.280 But you can't understand how it's rational that the other side is looking at this and saying, this is fascism.

00:27:27.140 You can't understand us at all.

00:27:29.920 I don't believe that.

00:27:31.580 I don't believe that.

00:27:32.420 I don't believe that there are no signs that you see that we are in deep, deep trouble with our rights.

00:27:42.060 I don't believe that.

00:27:42.880 You could only see him under Donald Trump, huh?

00:27:46.960 But now all the things you said Donald Trump would do, which would make him a fascist, this guy is doing, and it's fine.

00:27:56.380 Hmm.

00:27:57.560 Okay.

00:27:59.740 Hmm.

00:28:00.040 That means that you really don't, you're not afraid of fascism.

00:28:03.580 You just want fascism on your side.

00:28:06.420 I don't want fascism on my side, your side, anybody's side.

00:28:10.520 I want freedom for everybody.

00:28:13.180 But if you're okay, you could see these things happening under Trump, which I can understand how you read it that way.

00:28:22.080 Yes.

00:28:22.520 And you can't see it.

00:28:25.900 The things that he's doing, not what you're speculating about, things he's doing, and you don't see that as a threat, then you really weren't against fascism.

00:28:37.280 You weren't.

00:28:38.000 Also, we have breaking news now, Glenn, that President Braindead has tested positive for COVID-19.

00:28:46.440 You know, he's fully vaccinated.

00:28:47.960 He's received two booster shots, but he got it anyway.

00:28:52.260 And they've put him on Pax Livid.

00:28:54.340 Yeah.

00:28:54.600 Now, is that at all possible, that this is a complication from his cancer?

00:29:05.520 Maybe.

00:29:06.580 That could very well be.

00:29:09.080 I mean, he's got to have a depleted immune system if he's got cancer.

00:29:14.280 Right.

00:29:14.520 By the way, play that announcement.

00:29:16.260 Yesterday, the president said that he got cancer from rain that had a lot of oil in it.

00:29:23.380 And because it was a four-lane highway that was accessible, my mother drove us, rather than us be able to walk.

00:29:31.880 And guess what?

00:29:32.680 What?

00:29:33.440 The first frost, you know what was happening?

00:29:36.240 What?

00:29:36.620 You had to put on the windshield wipers to get, literally, the oil slick off the window.

00:29:41.000 You get the oil slick off the window.

00:29:42.380 I had so damn many other people I grew up with have cancer.

00:29:45.360 And why can't for the longest time? 0.76

00:29:46.180 That's why he has cancer.

00:29:47.660 Delaware had the highest cancer rate in the nation.

00:29:50.120 Wow.

00:29:51.060 Now, they say, the White House said, well, he was talking about skin cancer that he had a few years ago.

00:29:58.300 Huh.

00:29:58.900 Is he?

00:30:00.140 Because I've never heard of, I mean, I don't know about you, but I've never been told by any doctor,

00:30:06.640 hey, if it's raining oil, you should stay out of it because it'll give you cancer.

00:30:11.280 Okay.

00:30:12.620 I've never heard of raining oil, but maybe it did back in the old days when we had a horse

00:30:19.300 and buggy and it was raining oil.

00:30:21.940 Maybe it was raining oil.

00:30:23.680 I find that highly unlikely.

00:30:26.800 And I'm not a, well, actually, I am a doctor, but I don't want to claim I'm a doctor at this

00:30:32.920 point because I, I haven't fully studied the oil relationship to, uh, to skin cancer.

00:30:41.300 I don't know that for sure.

00:30:42.940 So if there is somebody that is an expert on skin cancer and can verify that, oh yeah.

00:30:49.980 Oh yeah.

00:30:50.780 No.

00:30:51.000 When you live in a place like Delaware where it is raining oil, it can happen.

00:30:57.920 And by the way, it's only raining oil in Delaware because they have so many refineries.

00:31:05.200 More than Houston.

00:31:06.020 Uh, and yeah, more than Houston, which strangely it never rains oil in Houston.

00:31:13.400 Isn't that weird?

00:31:16.320 That is weird.

00:31:17.260 So I guess no one's got skin cancer in Houston, at least from the refineries.

00:31:23.860 Uh, we wish the president well on COVID-19 and hope that he rushes right back in to do

00:31:30.280 those executive orders.

00:31:33.440 The best of the Glenn Beck program.

00:31:35.840 Well, welcome to the program.

00:31:42.380 Now the mom fighting SEL in, uh, in a Utah school district, Becky hope.

00:31:48.700 Hello, Becky.

00:31:49.560 How are you?

00:31:51.320 Hey, Glenn.

00:31:52.120 I'm good.

00:31:52.600 How are you?

00:31:53.100 It's great to talk to you again.

00:31:55.260 Yeah.

00:31:55.740 Thank you.

00:31:56.660 Um, when you handed me a, I mean, a bucket of stuff, uh, I thought, Oh geez, how am I ever

00:32:03.700 going to get through this?

00:32:04.700 But as I started reading it, I'm like this knee, we need to do our homework on this, uh,

00:32:11.460 handed it to my research team and they came back and they're like, yep, that's what's

00:32:15.300 happening.

00:32:15.920 And I find this almost too much to believe if I wasn't from Texas with the town of South

00:32:23.800 Lake that just went through this, but had a different ending because the people stood

00:32:30.320 up, uh, I wouldn't have believed this.

00:32:33.720 Tell me the story.

00:32:36.740 Right.

00:32:37.300 Yeah.

00:32:37.780 So I appreciate this opportunity.

00:32:39.960 Thanks for having me on.

00:32:41.140 And it was so great to meet you.

00:32:42.600 And I just knew that you needed to read this.

00:32:45.440 You know, I had tried to ask other people, including, um, Mike Lee's chief counsel, if

00:32:50.740 they knew if this had happened to other districts.

00:32:52.940 And she said, no, she said it happens to, uh, police departments all the time.

00:32:57.500 You know, the DOJ comes in and takes over.

00:32:59.120 So, I mean, what we have here in Davis County is failure of our district leadership.

00:33:06.040 And I want to be clear that it's just a few at the district.

00:33:09.780 We have an amazing district.

00:33:11.300 We have amazing, um, students.

00:33:13.340 We have amazing teachers.

00:33:14.560 We have amazing principals and parents.

00:33:18.140 Unfortunately, a lot of parents are, um, really asleep and not paying attention, but

00:33:22.680 we have a great district.

00:33:23.540 But because of the old, the good old boys club here at the district, they tried to take

00:33:32.080 care of this all on their own and went ahead and signed the, excuse me, signed the agreement

00:33:37.840 without even the whole board knowing about it.

00:33:41.440 And they signed their kids away.

00:33:43.320 What was it?

00:33:44.080 Oh, go ahead.

00:33:45.740 What was it that they were trying to make go away?

00:33:50.480 Well, Glenn, just so you know, like we're going to be the first group of people to completely

00:33:56.760 get rid of harassment and racism, because according to the verbiage of the agreement, we will

00:34:01.940 be compliant and we will be discrimination and harassment free, free.

00:34:08.600 So, all right, well, that'll be great when you accomplish that.

00:34:13.340 You'll be the first in human history.

00:34:14.640 But, uh, uh, but this started with a little girl that committed suicide, right?

00:34:20.700 Or at least that's what they said.

00:34:23.320 No, that's what they tried to say.

00:34:24.860 That's a whole nother story that we'll probably see on the dateline because it's not the true

00:34:28.820 story.

00:34:29.300 But no, it started with some parents, you know, they, um, had some complaints.

00:34:33.520 They took it to the district and the district just basically swept it under the rug.

00:34:36.960 They didn't handle it the way the families thought they should.

00:34:40.800 So what I've been told, um, our former superintendent said that that attorney for those families, um,

00:34:47.240 called the DOJ and, and that kind of opened the door.

00:34:49.920 So there have been some accusations made, um, and in the settlement, well, in the report

00:34:57.000 of findings that the DOJ sent to our council, you know, it says that they found 200 plus,

00:35:01.660 um, incidents, but they never have told us if that is from, you know, the same people

00:35:06.660 or all, you know, individual people.

00:35:09.760 And that makes a difference.

00:35:13.340 So they did this in South Lake and they said, you know, that there've been racial slurs,

00:35:17.640 et cetera.

00:35:18.000 And I'm sure there have been, I mean, it's a school.

00:35:20.360 They, the kids say the meanest things to each other.

00:35:24.180 Um, but you know, the, the, the town is not racist.

00:35:28.200 The school is not racist.

00:35:30.060 Um, and they don't put up with it.

00:35:32.260 And when the DOJ came to town and said, yeah, well, we've got some evidence really show it

00:35:38.580 to us.

00:35:39.500 Uh, and that thing fell apart quickly and we swept the weak people out, but this district,

00:35:47.920 the two guys up at the top of the school board, they, they made a settlement with the DOJ.

00:35:55.180 And what is the settlement include?

00:35:58.200 Yeah, they did.

00:35:59.860 And they kept it really quiet.

00:36:01.540 I mean, I have spoken to district officials who have not even read the settlement yet,

00:36:06.440 Glenn.

00:36:06.840 They have not read through it.

00:36:08.040 I've read through it about a hundred times.

00:36:09.600 It's about 26 pages long, but the settlement includes that they will send all of the students

00:36:15.320 data and all of the teachers data to the DOJ twice a year.

00:36:20.740 So it doesn't matter if you did anything wrong, your data, your information, your race, your

00:36:25.780 name, your school ID, where you work.

00:36:27.800 That's all going to the DOJ.

00:36:29.220 And there's no opting out of that.

00:36:31.020 Right.

00:36:31.940 Um, it's also open-ended.

00:36:33.520 The DOJ says, you know, we're going to check every year to see how compliant you're being.

00:36:38.020 And then we will decide when you have complied enough for us, but it's open-ended.

00:36:44.140 They're going to be here as long as they want to be here.

00:36:46.200 Um, and the DOJ, you guys can't hire, you guys can't hire anybody.

00:36:51.840 The DOJ has to approve all hires too.

00:36:54.280 Is that true?

00:36:56.160 Right.

00:36:57.040 Everything has to be DOJ approved.

00:36:58.900 You know, I asked our new superintendent, you know, I said, they run this and they, and

00:37:02.300 he said, no, they don't.

00:37:03.200 I said, you know, everything has to be approved.

00:37:05.120 So also the people that they're hiring are all radical left, social justice activists.

00:37:12.280 So there's no neutrality.

00:37:14.240 And this is a very conservative town, right?

00:37:17.420 Yeah.

00:37:17.880 Very conservative town.

00:37:19.340 Good people.

00:37:20.380 We're not systemically racist.

00:37:22.020 I mean, the conclusion of the DOJ in their own paperwork says it was systemic failure

00:37:28.020 of the district's handling of complaints.

00:37:30.460 So we have a huge failure of leadership here, but teachers and kids are going to be paying

00:37:36.040 the price.

00:37:37.000 The teachers are starting mandatory training in August.

00:37:41.340 They can't opt out.

00:37:42.520 They all have to be there.

00:37:44.060 And they also have to be mandatory reporters in class. 0.88

00:37:48.560 And I've had a few teachers reach out who are saying, this is ridiculous.

00:37:53.160 You know, I can't even, I'm not even trusted to do what I know how to do in my class.

00:37:59.060 And the people that they are hiring, there's a guy named Curtis Linton, and he came in as

00:38:04.760 the consultant.

00:38:06.380 And they also consulted with his company, Safeguarding Company.

00:38:10.500 They're paying him $1.5 million of our taxpayer money.

00:38:14.860 And Curtis Linton is a race baiter. 0.98

00:38:17.800 He's a grifter. 1.00

00:38:18.760 He's a white guy here in Utah. 0.93

00:38:19.980 He's been running around for the last few years trying to peddle his data mining products,

00:38:25.580 if you will, the safeguarding company, to schools.

00:38:29.900 Well, he just waltzes into Davis School District, and they hired him because they had a woman already

00:38:38.140 working for them named Jackie Thompson, who is friends with Curtis Linton.

00:38:41.860 And so she said, yeah, let's hire this guy to be the consultant, but he is a radical left

00:38:48.080 activist, social justice, all things gender, all things SEL.

00:38:51.420 He's going to be running the show, and he has all access to the DOJ to change policy, to

00:38:58.240 give them any data the DOJ needs.

00:39:00.600 And district council doesn't even have to be a part of these conversations.

00:39:03.500 Oh, my gosh.

00:39:06.460 Oh, my gosh.

00:39:07.880 And he's also a guy who he's tried to sell his software, if you will, all around the state,

00:39:17.580 if I'm not mistaken, right?

00:39:19.420 And his software does what?

00:39:21.140 So it's called the My Concern app, and how he peddles it is he tells teachers, you know,

00:39:28.400 just if you have a concern about one of your students, you know, don't just write it on

00:39:33.120 a sticky note.

00:39:33.740 Those are a thing of the past.

00:39:35.120 Just put it into this app, and we will take care of that concern.

00:39:39.840 We will take care of, you know, what those students' feelings, and who's on the other

00:39:45.100 end of this app?

00:39:46.440 You know, these teachers are going to be sending their concerns about our children.

00:39:51.140 To this app.

00:39:53.020 Who's on the other end of that?

00:39:54.200 We have no idea.

00:39:57.600 How do you want to talk about a violation of privacy?

00:40:01.180 Yeah.

00:40:01.720 So what are you doing to change this?

00:40:06.800 How can you change this?

00:40:09.460 Well, you know, I've tried to reach out to as many people as I can about it.

00:40:13.560 I've tried to educate parents.

00:40:15.120 But unfortunately, it's just been done so quietly.

00:40:21.420 Parents just don't have any idea what's coming and that this even happened.

00:40:25.340 And sadly, people still have trust in the DOJ, which blows my mind.

00:40:31.000 Oh, my gosh.

00:40:31.480 What is wrong with them?

00:40:33.920 I know, right?

00:40:34.600 Oh, my gosh.

00:40:35.020 I don't trust the DOJ.

00:40:36.480 I don't trust the DOJ to watch over my children, let alone, you know, run their school.

00:40:41.620 So what we knew we had to do was get in there and flip this school board.

00:40:46.860 You know, so we just got through our primary elections, and there's four seats available.

00:40:51.920 There's seven seats, and there's four seats available.

00:40:53.940 And tender mercies, there's four amazing parents running, all made it through primary, so they'll be on the November ballot.

00:41:02.020 And they have been prepping with me to understand all of this, to understand what's happening, so that they can go onto this board prepared to do what they have to do to sort of change this.

00:41:16.420 But the DOJ isn't going away.

00:41:18.040 There is a part in the settlement that says that the contract or the settlement can be amended, but that would have to be agreed upon by the district and the DOJ, right?

00:41:29.500 So the DOJ is not going to amend anything.

00:41:31.940 They're not going away.

00:41:33.140 So I think our only hope is to get good people on this board and possibly, you know, fire Curtis Winton, get rid of the SEL department, because that ties into this as well.

00:41:42.980 So we're doing that right now.

00:41:44.480 Have you talked to Sean?

00:41:45.240 Have you talked to Sean Reyes about this, your attorney general?

00:41:51.000 No, I wish.

00:41:52.300 I would love to get in front of him and talk to him about this.

00:41:56.420 You know, when I was talking to our school board president, so our school board president, John Robison, and our former superintendent, Reed Nui, they're just a good old boys club. 0.84

00:42:05.900 They're bullies. 0.95

00:42:07.060 They shut teachers up. 0.87

00:42:08.780 They shut parents up.

00:42:10.080 They've trespassed three people in the last year, and those trespasses on those parents are still valid. 1.00

00:42:15.520 They've been trespassed from school grounds for about a year.

00:42:18.920 Anyways, these guys, they don't care about parents.

00:42:21.180 John Robison has told me to my face that he doesn't owe parents an explanation about the settlement at all.

00:42:28.080 So, yeah, I mean, they just run into the ground.

00:42:35.760 All right.

00:42:36.300 So here's what I'd like to do.

00:42:38.200 I'm going to send this to Sean, your AG.

00:42:42.080 I can't guarantee he's going to call you or anything else, but I can guarantee you that someone in his office, if not him, will look into this case.

00:42:50.420 And if there is something that he can do, I'm sure he will.

00:42:57.080 Becky, stand strong.

00:42:59.140 Keep waking people up.

00:43:00.560 Don't take no for an answer.

00:43:02.140 Don't sit down.

00:43:03.000 No matter how unpopular you might get, don't sit down.

00:43:08.520 Okay, good.

00:43:09.440 Thank you, Becky.

00:43:10.320 Appreciate it.

00:43:10.880 Thank you so much.

00:43:11.380 Appreciate it.

00:43:12.060 Thank you.

00:43:12.480 You bet.

00:43:13.060 Bye-bye.

00:43:13.380 Bye-bye.
