00:00:00.000 Hey, for a Monday podcast, we've packed it with an awful lot of stuff and just kind of even going

00:00:04.480 over some of the news, the darkness that's in the news here lately. And I tie it to the seven

00:00:10.640 deadly sins. This is something that Thomas Aquinas talked about, you know, years and years and years

00:00:16.520 and years ago. And I started thinking about them this weekend. I thought, what role are those

00:00:23.280 playing in the world of today? And can we actually make a dent in turning that around? Are they

00:00:30.780 directly tied to what's happening in today's world? I think you're going to be amazed and

00:00:36.520 surprised. Also, the mental health problems that we have going on around the country, especially

00:00:41.580 with our vets, how we are living in Gotham and the Joker is in charge for an awful lot, which leads

00:00:50.020 right to the mental health question. And Jason Buttril joins us about the Pentagon and what is

00:00:55.780 happening with Pete Hegseth and the Pentagon. Also, digital ID, all on today's podcast.

00:01:01.940 Most of us just adapt. You know, maybe we set out a few family activities. Maybe we reach for the

00:01:06.520 same old bottle of pain relievers. Every day, every day we do it. We're masking the same thing.

00:01:12.700 And we're not doing anything about the root cause. But what if that wasn't the end of the story?

00:01:16.660 Relief Factor is not a quick fix. It's not going to mask it. It's a daily drug-free supplement

00:01:21.980 formulated to target the underlying inflammation that causes so many forms of pain, the kind of

00:01:27.460 pain that comes from aging, exercise, or just life itself. Developed by doctors, backed by science,

00:01:33.480 trusted by millions, Relief Factor takes time. That's why they ask you to, you know, it's not like

00:01:38.300 taking Tylenol or Aleve or whatever. This, this, that you have to take it constantly, you know,

00:01:44.380 for three weeks in a row. And then you start to see, because it's just strengthening your body.

00:01:48.220 It is not putting a band-aid on anything. It's strengthening your body to fight inflammation.

00:01:53.260 So if you're tired of feeling stuck inside a body that's constantly hurting, Relief Factor may be

00:02:17.140 Hello, America. You know, we've been fighting every single day. We push back against the lies,

00:02:21.840 the censorship, the nonsense of the mainstream media that they're trying to feed you. We work

00:02:26.840 tirelessly to bring you the unfiltered truth because you deserve it. But to keep this fight

00:02:32.120 going, we need you. Right now, would you take a moment and rate and review the Glenn Beck podcast?

00:02:37.180 Give us five stars and lead a comment because every single review helps us break through

00:02:42.100 Big Tech's algorithm to reach more Americans who need to hear the truth. This isn't a podcast.

00:02:47.600 This is a movement, and you're part of it, a big part of it. So if you believe in what we're doing,

00:02:52.620 you want more people to wake up, help us push this podcast to the top. Rate, review, share.

00:02:57.900 Together, we'll make a difference. And thanks for standing with us. Now let's get to work.

00:03:07.180 My prayer is that those of us who profess discipleship will lead, will lead, and lead in our own faith,

00:03:33.640 in our own church, especially when your church is not leading. If your church wasn't talking about

00:03:41.860 these things yesterday, maybe you should find a new church. I don't know. There's been a lot of

00:03:47.240 things going on, and we need pastors that are actually talking about things. They're not talking

00:03:58.640 about politics. They're talking about, how do I love my neighbor if my neighbor hates me? How do I do

00:04:06.460 that? And not some 2,000-year-old example, but something that you can take that 2,000-year-old example

00:04:17.960 and go, see, it's like this today. Because it's hard enough to understand that we need people who are

00:04:27.440 applying it today. Because there's, I want you to understand, there is hatred on the rise. There is

00:04:39.340 violence on the rise. There's all of this stuff on the rise. But what is it really? What is really on

00:04:44.120 the rise? Evil. It's evil. That's what's on the rise. Evil. Chaos. Disorder. That all comes from

00:04:55.360 one author, and it's evil. Madman, and I mean madman in this particular case, he targeted a crowded

00:05:03.500 dockside restaurant in North Carolina. He was arrested on Saturday. He fired his rifle

00:05:14.420 into a crowd of diners. Three people were killed. Eight were injured. This was on Saturday.

00:05:27.720 And this is happening in small communities, and you're like, what is happening to us?

00:05:31.780 Now, records show that this guy, he has been filing these really bizarre lawsuits in North

00:05:40.640 Carolina. One, he was accusing a Southport church of trying to kill him. The suit, which

00:05:47.920 was filed in May, claimed the Generations Church was behind a civil conspiracy masterminded by 0.77

00:05:53.840 the LGBTQ community, and white supremacist pedophiles were trying to kill him because he was a straight 0.94

00:06:00.360 man. That's not the only lawsuit he has filed. This guy is unstable. Very unstable. He was also a 0.97

00:06:13.740 Marine. Purple Heart, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Sea Service Deployment

00:06:21.500 Ribbon, Iraq Campaign Medal, two Bronze Stars, a Humanitarian Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary

00:06:31.680 Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal. Two Bronze Stars.

00:06:39.080 How did he get here? I think we have a lot of really unstable people, and we have been dismissing

00:06:50.960 mental health. And this is one of the things I talked about years ago with AI that frightened

00:06:57.560 me with all of the information on everybody. It wouldn't be hard, and I'm not saying this is

00:07:02.860 happening, but it will eventually. An evil overseer could easily say, I want everybody in this zip code,

00:07:14.700 tell me everybody who's on meds, who is seeing a doctor for schizophrenia, whatever, unstable,

00:07:24.040 has had brushes with the police. I want everybody in that zip code. Give me the names. Now that I have

00:07:31.600 the names, because it would take about that fast, now that I have the names, find the one that I can 0.99

00:07:36.420 destabilize to convince them to go shoot this person or shoot whatever up. All of that information 0.94

00:07:44.520 and all of those devices now exist and can be done in an ephemeral way, so there's no evidence of it.

00:07:52.120 Now, I do not believe that is happening. That's me as a fiction author putting that out.

00:07:58.620 But here is what is happening. Evil can do exactly the same thing.

00:08:09.360 Exactly the same thing. Doesn't need the internet. Doesn't need a device to do it.

00:08:15.720 We live, and I said this to you a couple of months ago, we are now living in Gotham.

00:08:20.920 And you need to understand that the times and the seasons have changed. We're now living in Gotham.

00:08:28.880 And this is all part of the leftist plan. Destabilize. Release people from prison. Cause chaos in the streets.

00:08:38.340 This is by design.

00:08:40.380 But now we have unstable people on the streets, in an atmosphere of chaos, in a society that has dismissed actions,

00:08:54.980 glorified the actions of those who are shooting people, and made it seem almost normal and reasonable that you can do it.

00:09:03.100 And then, on top of it, we have dismissed those who really need psychiatric help.

00:09:12.980 When I said we're living in Gotham, I want to play a scene.

00:09:15.740 And I want you to think of, this comes from Batman Begins.

00:09:19.260 And it's the scene, or sorry, Dark Knight. Sorry, Dark Knight.

00:09:25.100 And it's the scene where the Joker has been taken in to jail.

00:09:33.760 And he's in a holding cell.

00:09:35.780 And then there's like the drunk tank where all the other guys that are just riffraff that have been picked up.

00:09:40.480 And they're right in a jail in the center of the police building.

00:09:44.020 And if you remember right, the Joker needed to break out of jail.

00:09:50.760 So how was he going to do it?

00:09:52.520 And you didn't know until somebody who was in the holding cell, clearly unstable, called to one of the police officers.

00:10:02.540 And this happened. Listen.

00:10:04.340 Please, my insides hurt.

00:10:07.100 I don't really care. Back away.

00:10:08.940 The boss said he'd make the voices go away.

00:10:11.180 He said he'd go inside and replace them with bright lights.

00:10:15.920 Like Christmas.

00:10:17.320 You're out of your mind, pal. Back off.

00:10:19.820 Get it right away in the holding tank. Come on.

00:10:27.000 Is that a phone?

00:10:35.120 So what is that scene?

00:10:38.520 That scene is a very disturbed man.

00:10:41.180 Who is hearing voices, clearly, medically, in trouble.

00:10:47.720 Hearing voices.

00:10:50.400 He doesn't get any help.

00:10:52.480 And so he says, the boss said he'd make the voices go away.

00:10:57.420 I want you to think of Joker, because in that scenario, that's the boss, the Joker.

00:11:05.060 I want you to think of the Joker as Satan.

00:11:09.320 Some people just like to watch the world burn.

00:11:12.480 That is probably one of the better depictions of Satan in contemporary media.

00:11:21.760 Joker.

00:11:22.380 Joker.

00:11:25.660 He took unstable people and whipped them up.

00:11:30.660 And the guy says, the boss said he would make the voices stop and replace them with bright lights like Christmas.

00:11:43.000 Satan is whispering to people, this is good.

00:11:51.340 This is good.

00:11:51.400 I'll make all of that pain stop.

00:11:55.940 It's good that you do this.

00:11:57.480 It's going to lead to your happiness, et cetera, et cetera.

00:12:01.740 And then they die in the end, because Satan doesn't care.

00:12:05.300 Another soul destroyed.

00:12:06.760 We're entering a phase now where we have actual hatred on the streets.

00:12:16.860 As Stu said, and I just found out, as Stu told me, and I pray this is just an unstable person that had a problem with Mormons.

00:12:27.880 But we don't know yet.

00:12:29.720 But apparently the killer had a problem with Mormons.

00:12:32.360 I'm praying that they're unstable because I can at least get my arms around that.

00:12:42.940 But we have people who know exactly what they're doing.

00:12:46.840 Know exactly what they're doing.

00:12:49.100 Those who are being used and still know what they're doing.

00:12:53.120 And then we have those who are mentally ill, who are going to be used by the literal Joker and promise that he will replace those voices with bright lights.

00:13:07.780 Both shooters, at least as it stands now, both shooters from this weekend, were both U.S. Marines.

00:13:20.560 Ask yourself this.

00:13:25.080 If that becomes a trend, and by the way, you can thank God that Trump is in office today, but that doesn't last forever.

00:13:37.320 And these things happen.

00:13:38.820 How long before the left, who only wants guns to be removed, doesn't really care, just wants guns removed.

00:13:49.500 How long before they're saying our military is unstable and we have to remove guns from our military.

00:13:59.400 And then what does that do?

00:14:00.860 Friday, I told you what was happening in South Korea is happening here.

00:14:08.200 It is a blueprint and it is going to be our responsibility as people who love the Republic, who love America, who love freedom.

00:14:18.940 To make sure that we remain in control of ourselves.

00:14:25.320 That we do not add to the chaos.

00:14:28.020 Instead, we find ways to be peacemakers.

00:14:30.640 We stand firmly in what we believe.

00:14:34.440 We stand up against evil and we stand up against lies.

00:14:39.640 But we stand up firmly rooted in those principles of Judeo-Christian principles that made this country what it is today.

00:14:51.280 Because there are going to be voices on both sides, on both sides, that want to seize power.

00:14:58.380 Because if things continue to get out of control, people will start to scream with it.

00:15:04.180 They'll scream.

00:15:06.880 Do whatever you have to do to make it stop.

00:15:09.040 And that's when you lose a republic.

00:15:10.980 We must rely on one another.

00:15:14.540 And we must rely on the decency of others.

00:15:20.540 And the foresight of those we elect, especially locally, to help people who are in deep, deep need psychologically.

00:15:33.280 Because they are out on the streets in droves.

00:15:37.320 Just another layer to the chaos that the Joker is planting.

00:15:46.240 Picture this.

00:15:49.160 You're tucked away in a remote mountain cabin, enjoying the stillness, the view, the peace, quiet.

00:15:53.720 Out of nowhere, you start feeling a throbbing pain in your jaw, swelling, a low fever.

00:15:59.740 You're not pregnant, so you can take Tylenol if you have it.

00:16:02.600 But you know something is wrong.

00:16:04.760 It's an abscess or whatever.

00:16:06.900 You've just waited too long.

00:16:08.920 You need antibiotics.

00:16:09.960 But the nearest town is, you know, three hours away.

00:16:12.360 There's no cell signal.

00:16:13.700 You don't even know where to find a pharmacy.

00:16:16.100 You don't have a prescription.

00:16:17.900 This is why you have a Jace case.

00:16:19.740 It's a full supply of emergency antibiotics, five different kinds, prescribed for you by real doctors, shipped straight to your door.

00:16:27.160 It's not some shady online operation.

00:16:28.840 Once you have it, you're covered for a whole range of common infections.

00:16:31.280 And it's all written out for you, instructions and everything.

00:16:34.320 They are actively expanding their lineup, adding more medications, broader coverage,

00:16:38.360 and better options to meet the challenges ahead.

00:16:41.280 But everybody should have a Jace case.

00:16:43.020 Jace, J-A-S-E dot com.

00:16:47.640 That's promo code BECK at J-A-S-E dot com.

00:16:51.780 Now back to the podcast.

00:16:53.340 This is the best of the Glenn Beck program.

00:16:57.160 Go to Jason Buttrill, who's our chief researcher and military expert and just knower of all kinds of things.

00:17:03.920 Welcome to the program, Jason.

00:17:05.760 Um, I, I want to, I want to lay something out, um, that the left has done.

00:17:13.140 And I know I laid this out to you.

00:17:15.740 Um, and I started saying this last week, look at South Korea.

00:17:18.980 It is, it is the plan in action.

00:17:22.020 And then, uh, Starmer, the prime minister of the UK, he came out with digital ID.

00:17:29.100 And I'm like, oh my gosh, that's another step in it.

00:17:32.640 And you're starting to see this plan come to fruition.

00:17:36.680 Would you agree with that, Jason?

00:17:38.760 Oh, and then some, you talk about South Korea.

00:17:42.300 Um, South Korea did something in March that I didn't even, even, I don't remember hearing of at all.

00:17:47.600 Uh, do you know what they completed in March, uh, Glenn?

00:17:50.980 They, uh, they completed their rollout of digital ID in March.

00:17:55.800 Um, they, they joined, uh, the Swiss, uh, over the weekend.

00:17:59.340 They, they did it.

00:17:59.980 Australia did that, did theirs in December of 2024.

00:18:03.780 Um, the list goes on and on and on.

00:18:05.620 It makes you wonder why, why now, Glenn?

00:18:08.280 Why now are all of a sudden all these countries doing this right now?

00:18:13.340 Why do we all feel that?

00:18:14.800 Yeah, we could go.

00:18:16.060 I would like to hear your opinion on that here in a second.

00:18:19.000 First, let me just lay this out.

00:18:20.600 I told you back in early two thousands that a framework or a net was being built.

00:18:27.540 Okay.

00:18:28.000 There were people that wanted to collapse the United States and the West, but you don't just collapse it.

00:18:34.140 Uh, there are those like the anarchists, et cetera, et cetera, who do want the chaos.

00:18:38.280 And the streets and just to collapse, but you know, too many people have too much money to lose

00:18:43.400 and too much power to lose and too much power to gain.

00:18:46.860 So carefully put together the framework of a new system and create it as a net that the old stuff

00:18:55.580 can fall into.

00:18:56.840 So the first thing you do is create that framework.

00:19:00.460 The next thing you do is you look at all of the problems and the problems that need to happen

00:19:06.640 for it to actually collapse.

00:19:09.260 And then you create those problems and encourage and feed those problems.

00:19:16.460 The next thing you do after that is you need chaos.

00:19:20.100 And so you have to have a street organization to be able to create chaos in the street.

00:19:26.720 And when the framework is all in place, you have all of the problems growing and growing and growing

00:19:34.620 until there's no real solution anymore.

00:19:36.600 And you have chaos in the streets where your streets and safety are at issue every day, where, where, you know,

00:19:46.540 life is unlivable because of the economy, because of travel no longer break.

00:19:53.040 It breaks down.

00:19:53.960 Safety breaks down.

00:19:55.180 You can't get the health services that you need.

00:19:57.920 All of these things breaking down and it's lunacy on the streets.

00:20:02.700 That's when all you need is a final push.

00:20:06.060 And those on the street will scream out, we need a savior.

00:20:11.840 We need something.

00:20:13.220 And it will then collapse into this new framework.

00:20:16.840 So that was the theory back around 2005 or six that I was sharing with people that was going to happen.

00:20:24.440 And now we're in the place to where it's about to collapse.

00:20:27.400 The United States is not about to collapse, but the rest of the world is now putting into place the final pieces of the framework.

00:20:36.760 Does, is the, is that your understanding, Jason, of, or do you have any other thoughts on that?

00:20:42.480 And that's absolutely what's happening right now.

00:20:44.800 And it goes way beyond, uh, immigration to take a look at the UK.

00:20:48.120 I mean, uh, they've been having massive issues, uh, with immigration, uh, that led to people actually saying in podcasts all over the place now from the UK that now they're civil war is a possibility within the UK.

00:21:01.680 They're actually saying that this is coming from the Brits.

00:21:03.500 They're usually, they don't even mention that word, you know, call it something nice, you know, like a civil disruption maybe or something, but not civil war.

00:21:10.520 That's what they're saying.

00:21:11.400 Not so nice.

00:21:12.260 Get together where we'll have tea in the afternoon.

00:21:14.420 Right.

00:21:15.360 Um, but that's, that's the, that's the, that's the breaking point that they've gotten to, you know, I wish I could go back this plan.

00:21:21.520 I mean, the great reset agenda 2030 never stopped.

00:21:25.260 I mean, we've had other things that we've been thinking about in this country and we've been moving in a different direction, but that global plan for that never stopped.

00:21:32.840 You're just seeing it enacted through government in places like Europe, places like South Korea, places like Australia, places where they can get this done.

00:21:39.420 That can't really happen here as of now, but it can't go through government of Trump because of Trump.

00:21:46.440 You have to understand you, anybody who just hates Trump, you look, you can hate him for, you know, a myriad of reasons.

00:21:53.440 That's fine.

00:21:53.940 But you must recognize that this system is being collapsed all over the Western world.

00:22:01.980 They're passing exactly the same laws.

00:22:04.780 And Donald Trump is the only one that is standing against it.

00:22:09.220 And that's why the whole world is against him.

00:22:12.340 All of the power structures, because they have a plan.

00:22:15.640 And he has said, I'm not doing that plan.

00:22:19.680 America will stand on its own under its constitution.

00:22:23.680 We're not doing that plan.

00:22:24.960 That's why everybody is doing everything they can to stop him.

00:22:30.940 And if they can't stop him, they'll just create the chaos in the streets where he'll be forced to do something.

00:22:37.420 And then that causes more chaos, i.e., North Korea or South Korea.

00:22:43.480 Yeah.

00:22:43.640 And that's why you have to even look past mass immigration, because everything is connected right now.

00:22:48.160 I mean, look at the way they have decriminalized things that should not be decriminalized.

00:22:52.320 Look at how they've done a complete assault on the justice system.

00:22:56.420 Again, this is happening globally.

00:22:58.440 This is all over.

00:22:59.500 But it's especially been happening here in this country.

00:23:01.340 We've been seeing that nonstop going on for the past, what, like decade now?

00:23:05.200 Have they been constantly rolling back protection of the United States citizens?

00:23:09.240 The whole point is, again, to get to that point where they say, help us.

00:23:13.420 Just do something.

00:23:14.440 Now, again, it's different here in the United States.

00:23:16.160 But it's not different with private companies, private enterprise.

00:23:19.960 Look at some of the biggest names in big tech right now, and look at what they're saying.

00:23:24.920 Look at people like Bill Gates.

00:23:26.720 Look at people like Oracle's Larry Ellison.

00:23:29.400 Look at all these guys.

00:23:30.200 Look what they're talking about.

00:23:31.400 They're talking about digital ID.

00:23:32.960 They're talking about the wonders of how AI and tech and all that stuff can make things more surveillable.

00:23:38.540 I think Larry Ellison said that people will be on their best behavior once all these big tech changes start to go through,

00:23:45.140 because everyone will constantly be under surveillance.

00:23:47.040 They will move in that direction through private business, because that's the way they'll do it here.

00:23:51.220 And they won't need a national digital ID rollout.

00:23:54.060 You've done stuff on the past, over the last few years, talking about how the financial mechanisms are their teeth.

00:24:02.720 That's how they'll go after it.

00:24:03.800 They're starting that in the European Union.

00:24:06.240 They're starting that in places like UK.

00:24:07.620 If you're a big U.S. company or even a small U.S. company, as you go down the line, you're not going to be able to do business globally if you don't play within their system.

00:24:16.160 It is coercion.

00:24:17.540 It is forcing us into playing in that system, because at the end of the day, the more global we are, we'll have to comply.

00:24:24.900 There will be no escaping from it.

00:24:26.520 So what do they do?

00:24:27.000 They double down on an assault on the justice system.

00:24:30.220 They'll double down on this feeling of people thinking that they cannot do anything.

00:24:34.640 They have no say.

00:24:36.080 And then what happens?

00:24:36.760 Eventually, you see some of the worst atrocities that we have seen in our country begin to happen.

00:24:42.540 Now there's left-wing violence that is spiking over three decades.

00:24:46.100 That's all connected.

00:24:47.340 You're seeing these other attacks.

00:24:48.840 These people are just driven mad, driven crazy, and they're doing evil, evil things.

00:24:53.600 Everything is connected.

00:24:54.940 People are feeling hopeless.

00:24:56.600 Well, what's the choice?

00:24:57.800 Well, you heard from Kara Starmer.

00:24:59.100 Well, we need to protect you, to make sure that you're safe.

00:25:02.860 Not just the immigrants, but everyone.

00:25:05.740 This is for you.

00:25:06.760 It's to keep you safe.

00:25:08.500 Digital ID rolls out, either through the government or mandated through big tech, things we use every single day.

00:25:14.320 There will be no choice after a while.

00:25:16.240 You will have to do this.

00:25:17.700 That is the direction they're going into.

00:25:19.260 It's crazy.

00:25:20.180 I wish there was a way for the audience to search through everything that you have talked about over the past, what, two decades?

00:25:28.280 Going back to, like, the Fabian Society, do you know what Kara Starmer, what he did before he was elected to Parliament, Glenn?

00:25:35.160 I do.

00:25:36.080 He was on the executive committee of the Fabian Society.

00:25:40.580 It's all connected.

00:25:41.840 It's all moving in the same direction.

00:25:42.840 Fabian Society, in case you don't know, is a Marxist, Leninist, communist group.

00:25:51.100 They claim to be progressives, but, you know, their founding is very, very clear.

00:25:56.120 And their symbol is a turtle.

00:25:59.220 And it's moved very, very slow.

00:26:02.500 But when we strike, we strike hard.

00:26:04.660 And its whole system was developed to overturn Western civilization and Western democracy.

00:26:13.900 That's the Fabian Society.

00:26:15.920 And, you know, over in England, it's no big deal.

00:26:19.080 I mean, it's no big deal because they actually, you know, they do have, you know, socialists and communists, unlike what we have always had here.

00:26:26.500 You know, you have them now, but we never had them.

00:26:28.900 They've had them for years and years and years.

00:26:30.920 And they've seen this slow drift into socialism and communism.

00:26:35.640 And they're, I mean, they have no idea.

00:26:38.940 The communists have no idea.

00:26:40.600 They lose in the end.

00:26:41.980 And not, they don't lose to people like me.

00:26:44.000 They lose to the authoritarians.

00:26:46.080 They lose, the communists lose to the fascists, to the ones who have all of the money, all of the power, and have the power of the internet and guns.

00:26:56.320 Those are the people that will win in the end, you know, in that battle between, you know, the communists and the fascists and the socialists and everybody else.

00:27:07.040 That's who will win.

00:27:08.380 What they don't realize is there is another group that is going to fight.

00:27:12.520 And all they've been doing is trying to come down on the religious of Christianity and call those people dangers, et cetera, et cetera.

00:27:22.940 You know, all that Christian nationalism. 0.72

00:27:24.540 The reason why they're doing that is because they know Christians will stand up eventually for rights that come from God.

00:27:33.900 So they have to have you, your spirit broken.

00:27:37.700 There is no God.

00:27:38.760 There is no hope except the government.

00:27:41.240 And you will do what the government says because the government is the one put in charge by God.

00:27:47.520 And so they have to break that.

00:27:49.340 But the other one they're playing footsie with is Islamists, the people who actually believe in Sharia law. 0.84

00:27:55.600 And they will be the eventual winner in Europe and in England.

00:27:59.960 They if it's not dealt with now, they will be the eventual winner.

00:28:04.460 And they're playing right along with everybody that they're going to kill in the end.

00:28:10.100 But they're playing along nice now because the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

00:28:14.980 Yeah, Christians are absolutely one of the targets in this entire global agenda.

00:28:21.500 You're seeing that places like South Korea being played out right now.

00:28:24.340 You're seeing it actually still with with private organizations within the United States right now as we speak as well.

00:28:30.380 You see that the ADL put up a bunch of profiles where they kind of they played nice with their description of Antifa played nice with them.

00:28:41.720 You said that most, you know, the usual crap about being decentralized, but basically said they're not that big of a deal.

00:28:47.320 There's a few few of them that are, you know, crazy, but they're basically not big that big of a deal. 0.92

00:28:50.880 But on the flip side, they made Turning Point USA look like the radicals, the ones that are Christ focused and then pursuing education and looking to God.

00:29:03.600 Why would they do that unless they want to take people's hope away? 0.98

00:29:09.440 Never mind this group that actually is violent, crazy and psycho.

00:29:13.160 So it's the people that are instilling faith and hope. 0.96

00:29:16.440 They're the radicals.

00:29:17.900 Tell me that's not part of the plan.

00:29:19.960 You're streaming the best of Glenn Beck.

00:29:21.940 To hear more of this interview and others, download the full show podcasts wherever you get podcasts.

00:29:26.740 So Tanya and I were driving, uh, from Texas to Florida over the weekend and, uh, we, we took classes from Hillsdale online and it was, it was really great.

00:29:43.440 It was really great.

00:29:44.300 And so we were talking about things and we were talking, uh, in depth and we're talking about history.

00:29:49.680 And at one point I said, could you look up the seven deadly sins?

00:29:55.940 What are the seven deadly sins?

00:29:58.680 And because she's my wife, she was like, sure.

00:30:02.980 Well, I think everybody else would go, what?

00:30:05.860 But she, she looks them up.

00:30:07.360 We start talking about them.

00:30:10.020 For centuries, Christians have talked about the seven deadly sins. 0.95

00:30:13.600 They're not small mistakes, not passing flaws, but they're the root of the poisons of human civilization.

00:30:21.160 And they are pride, envy, wrath, greed, sloth, lust, gluttony.

00:30:29.940 And as I look at these, I mean, I see all of them in our society.

00:30:40.180 But what is the true impact?

00:30:42.300 What, what are the, what's the impact of each of these?

00:30:46.380 Let me take these quickly here for a second.

00:30:48.360 Pride.

00:30:50.000 Pride's the root of all of our polarization, all of the chaos.

00:30:54.520 It fuels ideology over truth, uh, righteousness over humanity.

00:30:59.680 I'm right.

00:31:00.360 You're wrong. 1.00

00:31:01.000 He deserved to die. 0.99

00:31:02.880 Anything that makes compromise impossible stems from pride. 1.00

00:31:07.980 Nations collapse because arrogance blinds the leaders to reality.

00:31:14.920 Envy.

00:31:17.260 We're seeing this everywhere.

00:31:19.480 But envy is resentment.

00:31:22.400 Envy is the belief that someone else's success, wealth, or privilege is unjust.

00:31:29.000 Envy is the engine of class warfare, identity politics, and cancel culture.

00:31:34.040 Right?

00:31:34.520 Right?

00:31:38.000 Wrath.

00:31:40.060 That's anger turned into violence.

00:31:44.060 Riots, assassinations, online mobs, political revenge.

00:31:49.560 Wrath is why debate no longer stays civil, but escalates into destruction.

00:31:55.140 Then you have the other four, greed.

00:32:00.480 I mean, companies exploiting consumers, governments piling up debt, corruption, the concentration

00:32:07.960 of power.

00:32:08.880 All of that comes from greed.

00:32:10.620 Sloth.

00:32:11.660 What is sloth? 0.83

00:32:13.520 Apathy and entitlement in the entire culture.

00:32:16.640 Unwillingness to work.

00:32:18.280 Unwillingness to learn.

00:32:19.600 Unwillingness to sacrifice.

00:32:20.900 It leaves civic duty undone, creates a vacuum, and then that vacuum, authoritarian control

00:32:27.780 comes in because greed is also playing a role.

00:32:31.740 Lust is playing a role.

00:32:34.120 Hypersexualization.

00:32:35.400 It corrodes the family, exploits the children, destabilizes the next generation.

00:32:40.120 It's always been present, but technology and media, now it is everywhere.

00:32:46.240 Gluttony, overconsumption, food, entertainment, digital distraction, whatever.

00:32:54.560 Gluttony, it dulls the mind, feeds the addiction, fosters dependency.

00:32:59.740 And unlike the others, its political weight is indirect.

00:33:02.920 So I'm going through all of these and I'm thinking, okay, would any of the, if we could

00:33:09.160 solve one, two, one or two of these, if we could actually make an impact on one of the

00:33:15.180 seven deadly sins, because I think just the way I described them, I think you would agree 1.00

00:33:19.140 those are our problems.

00:33:22.580 Nobody's talking about the seven deadly sins.

00:33:24.380 But if we conquered one of them, or two or three of them, would it make a difference?

00:33:38.460 The answer is yes, but I think the order matters.

00:33:43.740 Because they're all interconnected.

00:33:45.660 And you can't tackle one alone, it will weaken the others.

00:33:54.360 So which ones will do the biggest impact?

00:33:57.820 I think pride has to be number one.

00:34:03.020 If humility would return in our culture, in leaders, in media, in ourselves, truth would

00:34:10.800 then come to the top.

00:34:12.980 It would rise above our ego.

00:34:14.360 A dialogue could begin again.

00:34:17.480 We could talk to one another.

00:34:20.760 And we'd listen to one another.

00:34:26.100 The next one would be envy.

00:34:30.660 Envy is running rampant.

00:34:33.580 It is what the left, not Democrats, the left, it's what it's built on.

00:34:38.920 It's what socialism and communism, it's all built on this.

00:34:43.400 Envy.

00:34:44.360 Class hatred.

00:34:46.200 Identity-based politics.

00:34:48.280 If we replace envy.

00:34:51.420 I want, I want, I want, it's mine, it's mine.

00:34:54.140 You have too much.

00:34:55.300 If we turn that over and make that gratitude, then gratitude replaces grievance.

00:35:03.000 We're happy for what we have and happy for the success of others.

00:35:07.660 Wrath.

00:35:07.980 Wrath.

00:35:08.100 Wrath.

00:35:08.660 Wrath.

00:35:08.980 Wrath.

00:35:10.040 Wrath.

00:35:11.880 Wrath.

00:35:11.980 Wrath.

00:35:12.040 Wrath.

00:35:14.040 How many times have you personally, because I know this happens for me.

00:35:17.720 Have you personally had some small thing happen and you just snap?

00:35:23.020 Wrath.

00:35:24.960 And it's unreasonable.

00:35:26.620 And you're like, whoa, where did that come from?

00:35:28.660 You know, I'm, I'm sorry.

00:35:29.680 I'm sorry.

00:35:30.220 Have you, that's wrath.

00:35:34.140 And it's because we've done a couple of things.

00:35:38.740 We, we have no patience anymore.

00:35:40.560 We have no patience for anything.

00:35:42.620 Anything.

00:35:43.860 Now, now, now, now, now, now, now.

00:35:46.520 We don't want to wait.

00:35:49.340 We're not seeing people as humans anymore.

00:35:52.980 You know, they screw up their job.

00:35:54.460 You just, you know what? 1.00

00:35:56.800 You're useless. 0.99

00:35:58.100 No, they might be having a bad day. 1.00

00:36:01.940 But we're not going to take the time to figure that out.

00:36:04.560 But if we could temper wrath, then we could argue without destroying.

00:36:15.660 We need pride.

00:36:17.660 We need envy.

00:36:20.000 And then wrath.

00:36:21.580 If we could reverse all of those, because every victory in each of those would build momentum.

00:36:29.160 Pride corrected leads to humility.

00:36:32.000 Envy, if that's healed, that leads to gratitude.

00:36:37.740 Wrath tamed becomes righteous courage.

00:36:42.440 I think it was Thomas Aquinas that was the first to kind of put these together.

00:36:55.900 I mean, they had been put together.

00:36:57.080 They kind of loosely come from the scriptures, but they came together.

00:37:01.560 And then it was Thomas Aquinas who said,

00:37:03.960 what are the opposites of these?

00:37:07.740 That's what we need to foster.

00:37:11.200 And I, that's what we have to do.

00:37:18.900 The world is in chaos.

00:37:21.680 Yeah.

00:37:23.280 And you're seeing it.

00:37:24.260 I'm seeing it.

00:37:24.840 It's in chaos.

00:37:25.580 But history will show us that when nations and individuals renew themselves,

00:37:38.340 start over and say, I'm going to, I'm going to renew myself.

00:37:42.460 When they confront, in this case, the seven deadly sins, three, I mean, have at the other four.

00:37:51.340 How about we just try to work on three of them?

00:37:52.900 If we can renew ourselves and confront these things directly, one step at a time, thinking very small.

00:38:05.560 Stop looking.

00:38:06.540 You're going to end in nothing but frustration if we, if we continue to expect a big answer.

00:38:13.260 We have gotten a big answer in many ways with the last election.

00:38:18.120 And in many ways, he's doing amazing things and we have to pay attention to it.

00:38:24.240 And that could go wrong at any point, but we did our job.

00:38:29.080 We still have to hold their feet to the fire.

00:38:31.040 We have to pay attention, for instance, on the shutdown and war and everything else.

00:38:35.800 We have to do that.

00:38:37.560 But why don't we now concentrate on the things before we're only saying just the election is the only thing that matters.

00:38:43.620 Why don't we concentrate on the small things that we actually can do something about?

00:39:03.200 I was talking to my wife in the car.

00:39:08.920 I said, does this make sense to you?

00:39:10.440 And she said, yeah, it does.

00:39:11.680 How would we do that?

00:39:21.160 How, how, how, how, how would we take on pride?

00:39:32.920 Try this for a week.

00:39:34.140 Don't post anything positive about you for a week.

00:39:46.020 Don't post anything.

00:39:48.060 I'm not saying don't, I'm saying, I'm not saying post negatives.

00:39:51.540 Don't glorify yourself for a week.

00:39:54.200 So, I mean, that is as small as it could possibly be.

00:39:57.260 Don't take pictures and make them look better than they are.

00:40:03.940 I mean, we're always, I mean, it drives me nuts.

00:40:06.740 I see these young kids and they're posing.

00:40:09.480 They're just, they just, they know how to stand.

00:40:12.480 They know how to, you know, pout their lips.

00:40:15.220 And, and it's, it's like, what is that?

00:40:17.740 It's not real.

00:40:18.840 I don't know what that is.

00:40:19.940 It's not real.

00:40:23.080 Don't do that for a week.

00:40:32.220 Don't for a week, for a week.

00:40:36.420 Let's start with removing things first before you build.

00:40:39.100 Let's start with just trying to control it first.

00:40:42.400 Don't glorify yourself for a week.

00:40:45.160 Envy.

00:40:48.660 Don't allow yourself to look at somebody else's success and either be jealous of it or to say,

00:40:57.660 yeah, well, they, just be happy for their success.

00:41:02.260 That's the one thing I've always loved about this particular audience and the conservative movement

00:41:07.060 is nobody slights people's success.

00:41:11.920 Just because you made it, I mean, you could lose it at a heartbeat, but just because you made it,

00:41:18.960 it doesn't, it doesn't mean that you're better or worse off or anything else.

00:41:23.380 People are happy for your success.

00:41:25.140 They're happy for your happiness.

00:41:31.220 Don't envy.

00:41:32.060 In fact, actually try to post something nice about someone else's success that you kind of have a hard time with

00:41:43.400 because there's a little bit of that envy in you.

00:41:49.880 Don't engage in any kind of class warfare.

00:41:52.240 I know you don't, but try to get your kids to do that.

00:41:54.200 No identity politics for a week.

00:41:57.180 No cancel culture for a week.

00:42:03.420 Wrath.

00:42:05.640 Let's start with a day.

00:42:10.380 Take a breath before you say anything.

00:42:14.140 And just remember what your mother taught you.
