Transcript

00:00:00.000 Hello, America. It's Friday. We got a great show for you. Bill O'Reilly joins us as he does every
00:00:05.820 Friday. We also talk about what the president should be saying every day, like a cuckoo clock.
00:00:12.600 We talk about John Crist, the comedian, the Christian comedian that is having,
00:00:17.860 you know, having some issues of his own. Also, an announcement from The Blaze this week that
00:00:22.740 we're leaving cable, but we want you to hear why. And our Joy Behar update and her with blackface.
00:00:32.840 Nobody seems to care about. We have all that and more on today's podcast.
00:00:44.100 You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck program.
00:00:52.740 So I got up and I did what you pay me for in your time. And remember, time is money. So you pay me
00:01:03.040 to read the New York Times so you don't have to. You pay me to watch all of the really nasty things
00:01:12.760 and stand here and look at this, this cancer that is spreading through the body of America
00:01:20.200 America and report back to you. So this morning, I did my duty. And I read the New York Times and
00:01:27.920 their version of the impeachment process that is coming next week. Now, today, the New York Times,
00:01:36.880 The Daily, focused on, what's his name? Sonderland?
00:01:42.180 Sondland. He is the European Union ambassador from the United States. He's a guy who gave Donald
00:01:52.560 Trump a billion dollars, sorry, a billion, a million dollars for his inauguration. And lo and
00:01:59.540 behold, he found himself the ambassador of the European Union. A miracle.
00:02:03.860 Yeah. Just don't know how that happens. In every administration, it's weird. Just real coincidence
00:02:10.580 going down. So he's not a guy. He's not political or anything else. He just wanted to be the ambassador
00:02:15.940 of the EU. So he goes to the EU and he's there. Now, this is the guy that the Republicans have been
00:02:21.800 saying, no, he said there's no quid pro quo. Remember, he's the he's the ambassador who is
00:02:28.320 is trying to fight and say, no, all the way along. There's no quid pro quo. Well, apparently
00:02:36.220 in his first secret testimony, that's what he said. Now he's amended it earlier this week.
00:02:43.520 He amended his testimony with three extra pages. And he's like, oh, oh, well, now that I've been
00:02:49.780 reading the other people's testimony, I do kind of remember. But he didn't say he said,
00:02:58.100 Donald Trump never said that. He said, but I felt that that's kind of what he was saying. So
00:03:06.200 I delivered the quid pro quo message. Now, how he was reading other people's testimony and oh my
00:03:15.020 gosh, I forgot I was the guy who delivered that. I mean, that's ridiculous. So do we believe him now
00:03:21.920 or do we believe him then? The guy's entire credibility is is up for grabs. But so is the
00:03:30.900 ambassador who said, absolutely, there was quid pro quo. She's now discredited herself because
00:03:39.420 Tucker Carlson released last night some documents that show that she was in touch with the DNC and
00:03:47.060 Schiff's office. And she said under under oath, I never responded to any of those emails. I don't
00:03:54.800 even know what emails. Yeah. Well, unfortunately, through the FOIA act. Yeah, it looks like she did
00:04:04.380 respond. She was like, great. What time do you want to get on the phone? So so both of them have
00:04:10.460 problems. Now, here's the real story. The real story is, is they are still talking about quid pro
00:04:18.720 quo, period. That's all they're talking about. And the way the New York Times is spinning this is
00:04:25.880 and the president, you know, the president wanted the State Department to look into the corruption
00:04:35.160 and they wouldn't look into the corruption. But those are all just conspiracy theories.
00:04:40.900 This is Rudy Giuliani's conspiracy theory. And so the ambassadors just thought the president is
00:04:48.460 crazy. And we're not going to look into these conspiracy theories. It's a it's an embarrassment
00:04:54.400 to look into those conspiracy theories. And so they just were like, I don't know what to do. It's quid pro
00:05:01.640 quo. I got to ring the bell because this is crazy. That's the way they're spinning this.
00:05:08.120 And they are all of the things that we presented on the chalkboard now are conspiracies. They're not
00:05:15.380 conspiracies. In fact, I talked to I talked to somebody who is a a multi-show producer for major
00:05:26.540 network news shows and talking to her yesterday. And I said, um, I have these things. I have these
00:05:37.040 things. And she said, Yeah, I know that you said you're going to do a special next Wednesday.
00:05:42.020 And she said, What is it you have? And I said, Well, I'm going to send it to you on Monday.
00:05:47.800 Because I just want to make sure we're really buttoned up on this. And she said, Well, what do
00:05:53.640 you have? And I told her one of the things and she said, Wait, you wait, what? And I said, Yeah,
00:06:03.900 she said, But you'd you can't go on the air with that unless you have documents to prove. And I said,
00:06:08.240 Yeah, we do. She said, You have documents proving this? And I said, Yeah. And she said,
00:06:14.720 And then I said to her, We also have videotape of them actually doing it. You have videotape of this?
00:06:23.940 Yeah. She then said to me, and I quote, I'm sick to my stomach.
00:06:33.500 This is really happening. I'm sick to my stomach. I said, Yeah, you've only heard one of these things.
00:06:42.580 I've got a lot of them.
00:06:46.700 This is not about quid pro quo.
00:06:51.860 So I just Mr. President, you know, let's clip this, please, and put it in my Twitter feed.
00:06:58.660 And please, everyone send this to the president, please retweet what I'm about to what I'm about
00:07:06.200 to say. Because the Republicans are honest to goodness. They're like nursery school kids.
00:07:15.960 Let's do a play. I can write a play. It's going to be about a tree.
00:07:22.740 Hey, here's a tree. What the hell are you doing? Who is writing this stuff? Who is thinking about the
00:07:29.480 defense of the president?
00:07:31.360 It's a terrible poem, too.
00:07:33.120 Yes. Thank you.
00:07:34.480 It needs to be much longer.
00:07:35.700 Yes. Okay. So here's the thing.
00:07:39.080 The Democrats are making this all about quid pro quo. Republicans, people who actually are
00:07:48.140 paying attention, and I don't know if I can include all the Republicans on this, the people
00:07:52.480 who are actually paying attention to this and care. Your strategy is all wrong. It's all wrong.
00:08:01.720 Here's what you and the president need to say every single day. Like a cuckoo clock. Every 15 minutes,
00:08:10.080 somebody should be on a microphone saying this, and just saying this over and over and over again.
00:08:16.660 Here it is. Listen, you and the media, and let me just speak directly to Americans. If you define
00:08:25.760 quid pro quo as, hey, you get dirt on my opponents or else, the president's right. There is no quid
00:08:34.560 pro quo. And that's what the Democrats are saying this is. You get the dirt on my opponent or else.
00:08:41.480 However, if you define quid pro quo as, hey, this, you know, Mr. Ukrainian president, you're brand new, looks good.
00:08:53.660 But I want you to know your country lost $7 billion from our taxpayers. Your country convicted two
00:09:02.920 Ukrainian officials, one of which was the head of the Anti-Corruption Bureau for interfering in the U.S.
00:09:10.560 election in collusion with the DNC and Hillary Clinton campaign. Two of your investigator generals
00:09:17.180 have been blocked for some reason by our U.S. State Department for giving the DOJ evidence of this
00:09:24.700 and deep corruption surrounding oil and gas contracts that involved our former vice president.
00:09:31.720 And as I said on the phone call, we have a reason to believe the same people that were doing all of that
00:09:37.560 and made this corruption possible are still in your inner circle. So as a matter of national interests,
00:09:45.640 I can't give you any more money unless you step to the plate and demonstrate that you're not part of
00:09:52.960 this corruption. And what's more, you're dedicated to cleaning it up. If that's the way you define
00:10:00.160 quid pro quo, yes, that's all on the tape. That's all there in the transcript. That's what the president
00:10:06.820 did. But I don't and I don't think the president defines that as quid pro quo. He defines that as
00:10:14.240 the job of the president. And I believe any honest American, Republican, Democrat, independent,
00:10:22.960 would not only agree with that, they would do exactly the same thing. Because what's at stake
00:10:28.920 is not just this presidency. But it's the integrity of investigations, the integrity of our elections,
00:10:38.440 the power of the president to chart our foreign policy and not some shadow group,
00:10:44.280 our foreign policy itself, along with the credibility of our ambassadors, and the integrity of the U.S.
00:10:51.660 aid program. And of course, the $7 billion that went missing. That's what this is about. So you can
00:10:59.460 make it about Joe Biden and the election if you'd like. But that's like making New York City all about
00:11:04.440 its toll tunnels. We're going to be adults here? We're going to talk about the truth? Or are we just
00:11:12.180 going to go get them? That is what they should say every 15 minutes like a cuckoo clock? Yeah, it's not
00:11:23.220 about quid pro quo. If you define that as go get my go get my opponents. There's none. There's none.
00:11:31.540 But when you read the whole context of what that phone call was about was, you're missing $7 billion.
00:11:40.480 There's all kinds of rumors about collusion with the Democrats, some of them credible, some of them
00:11:46.440 maybe not so credible. We don't know. And we don't trust you yet, Mr. President, we hear you're a good
00:11:53.820 guy. But there and this is what he said on the call. But I believe some of the people that were
00:12:00.580 involved in this corruption are still around you. You have to show us that you're not part of this
00:12:08.500 corruption. Isn't that the job of the president? We were all so excited about about making sure that
00:12:19.460 the Russians didn't collude. We have two people that were sentenced to prison for colluding with the
00:12:29.720 DNC and Hillary Clinton, two anti-corruption bureau officials that were bragging about it on tape and
00:12:42.420 were convicted in a Ukrainian court for colluding with the DNC and Hillary Clinton to
00:12:49.440 throw our election. And we don't care. Doesn't make sense. It doesn't make sense if you're looking
00:12:58.720 for truth, if you're looking for truth. And by the way, if you're looking for truth, I highly recommend
00:13:08.440 that you watch the video of my special, the first one and the second one, because it's about to
00:13:19.280 get ugly next week. Next week, next Thursday, we are going to be streaming live on YouTube,
00:13:28.560 on the Blaze TV next Wednesday, the Blaze TV, YouTube, and Facebook. And we're going to tell you what's
00:13:38.780 really happening with Ukraine and what they're really afraid of. This is the Democrats' hydra.
00:13:54.400 You cut off one head and two more appear, which is strange because I believe that's what the
00:14:02.840 whistleblower's attorney said in 2017. Don't worry, we cut off one and two more will show up.
00:14:14.140 The Democrats' hydra are special on Ukraine next Wednesday. Make sure you join us at
00:14:25.320 blazetv.com slash Glenn, blazetv.com slash Glenn. And thank you to all of our subscribers. You are
00:14:33.000 making all of this research possible. So thank you for doing that.
00:14:37.400 Hey, it's Glenn, and you're listening to the Glenn Beck Program. If you like what you're hearing on
00:14:52.200 this show, make sure you check out Pat Gray Unleashed. It's available wherever you download
00:14:57.560 your favorite podcasts. Hello, America. It's Friday. And that means Mr. Bill O'Reilly is joining us.
00:15:06.320 Hello, Bill. How are you? I'm a little agitated this week. A little overworked.
00:15:13.080 A little overworked. Yeah. Oh, America is weeping for the work you're doing. I know. I mean,
00:15:18.760 I got a lot going on here, Beck. And I'm way ahead of all the stories. I know you're not paying
00:15:25.700 attention, so I'm happy to be here to enlighten you. So let's start with the whistleblower. Let's
00:15:30.820 start with his attorney, okay, who apparently has been plotting a coup against the president since
00:15:36.180 2017. I'm shocked. Aren't you? No, yeah, no, I'm totally shocked. So this is exactly the same
00:15:43.820 playbook, exactly the same, that was used with Brett Kavanaugh. There is no difference. So,
00:15:54.040 take me through it. Take it through me. Take it through for us. A woman named Christine Ford
00:16:01.460 surfaced with terrible allegations against Brett Kavanaugh. She brought them to Senator Feinstein
00:16:10.220 in California, who took in the information, did not say anything to anyone for months, and directed
00:16:20.500 Ms. Ford to the most radical left attorney in the country, a woman named Melinda Katz in Washington,
00:16:27.960 D.C., whereupon they dropped the bomb on Kavanaugh. Okay, everybody remember that. Whistleblower
00:16:36.760 takes his complaint to Adam Schiff. Which does not include quid pro quo at the time. Okay. Whatever
00:16:47.720 the complaint was, instead of filing or holding a press conference or going to superiors or wherever,
00:16:54.840 he goes to Adam Schiff, who sits on the complaint deck, as Senator Feinstein did, and then directs the
00:17:03.880 whistleblower to the most radical attorney, political guy, Mark Zade in Washington, D.C.,
00:17:11.960 a close friend of Melinda Katz. Do you see it? Is it starting to unfold in front of your eyes?
00:17:19.480 It's like you're Doug Henning, the Canadian magician. It's so magical.
00:17:25.260 And I'm going to break out of a suitcase in a moment.
00:17:27.700 All right.
00:17:28.000 Okay, now, this is directed, and I can't say the group on the air, but I know who the group is because
00:17:36.000 the group did it to me. Both Blasey Ford and the whistleblower. All of this was contrived,
00:17:46.640 and it was well executed in the way I just laid out to you. There is no denying any of it.
00:17:55.560 So the whistleblower really isn't a whistleblower. He, and I have named him and unmasked him on
00:18:02.280 BillOReilly.com. I have taken my audience through who he is. He is a political activist working for
00:18:11.020 the CIA. That's who he is. All right. And he knows all of the activist groups in Washington, D.C.,
00:18:19.780 knows them all because they all coordinate. All right. And that's how he got into the picture.
00:18:26.340 And I'm going to show you next week, just a side note, I'm going to show you next week
00:18:29.840 why the CIA coordinates with all of the political active groups and why they know all of these
00:18:38.460 things, especially why the State Department knows this. Wait until you see the deeper connections
00:18:44.660 there. But go ahead, Bill.
00:18:45.640 All right. Well, there's a cadre of people within the CIA, within the State Department,
00:18:49.980 within national intelligence that are sympathetic to the liberal democratic agenda. And that's what
00:18:59.780 the Justice Department is going to unmask with the John Durham investigation. We've already seen it
00:19:05.300 in the FBI. We already know it exists. But the whistleblower is part of that. Now, if you are a
00:19:10.620 federal whistleblower, or masquerading as one, but you're really a political activist working to
00:19:17.200 destroy a presidency, you are not entitled to any protections, Beck. No protections, which is why
00:19:23.860 on my news service, I named the man. Now, why Fox News and the networks and everybody else doesn't do
00:19:34.280 it is beyond my comprehension. They all know because I told them exactly what this is. This is activism.
00:19:44.860 Blossie Ford is an activist. Her own attorney admitted it about a month ago. He said, oh,
00:19:51.260 it's anti-abortion. That's why we want to get Kavanaugh out of there. He's not sympathetic to
00:19:56.480 abortion. She slipped and said it. So, enter Don Jr. going on The View. A huge mistake, even though I
00:20:07.380 know why he did it, because I did it. I don't know. Have you ever been on The View, Beck?
00:20:11.380 I have, once. Okay. Oh, it was memorable, Bill. You would have loved this one. Yeah, you would have.
00:20:16.160 Glenn was, like, dying of sickness this day, and then he got yelled at by, what was it,
00:20:20.780 Whoopi? Was it Whoopi over a train? No, it was, yeah, it was Whoopi. Remember, I did the whole thing
00:20:25.460 about Barbara Walters being like a bat and swooping in, and she was very offended. So, I had to go up
00:20:33.180 against Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, and Joy Behar, and they all lied about something
00:20:39.720 I had the goods on. In fact, I had, remember, it was that they were holding a train in New York
00:20:45.160 with their seats, and they said, how dare you say that? And I said, I was there. I saw you. I tried
00:20:51.240 to sit in those seats, because I got there before you, and Amtrak wouldn't let me. I even got Amtrak to
00:20:56.680 go on record saying, yeah, that's what we did. That's right. I remember that. Yeah, it was crazy.
00:21:02.440 Yeah, I remember. All right, so you remember when I, I was on air a number of times. Yeah,
00:21:08.020 oh, yeah. And the big walk-off, when Behar and Goldberg walked off the set, which I wanted,
00:21:16.660 which I applauded. Yeah, I know. I know. All right. Now, the only reason that I went on that show
00:21:21.400 is because of Barbara Walters, and Barbara Walters was fair to me, and I knew,
00:21:26.680 going on The View, that those people watching The View aren't going to buy my books, but
00:21:32.260 it would get onto the internet, and then that's why Donald Jr. did it. So he got a book out. He
00:21:37.560 wants people to buy the book. He knows nobody's going to buy the book watching The View, but
00:21:41.260 all of this stuff that's going to happen, and he knew what was going to happen, but he wasn't
00:21:45.720 prepared. He wasn't well-prepared, unfortunately. Don Jr., if he had Colby, I could have gotten him
00:21:51.620 through it, but he wasn't well-prepared. So anyway, he goes on there, and the first thing that
00:21:56.640 happens is Abby Huntsman, who used to work for Fox News, starts lacing him about the
00:22:01.040 whistleblower because Don Jr. said his name in a tweet. Now, all Don Jr. had to say was
00:22:06.680 what I just told you and Stu. He's not a whistleblower. He's an activist. All right?
00:22:11.940 That's who he is. He's got the title of any protections, and I'm a private citizen. If I
00:22:16.280 want to out him, I can out him. There's no law that says I can't, even though that editor
00:22:20.640 idiot, Hostin would go, oh, you broke the law. No, he didn't. The law only applies to
00:22:26.700 federal agencies, not individuals. Okay? So this whole thing, The View, I mean, that's
00:22:33.580 like going into an opium den in Taiwan. That's what it's like. Well, if the opium den had...
00:22:42.100 Your rationality is going to be uttered. You're not going to get any rationality there, any
00:22:48.120 truth, any anything. You basically go in, and they throw Jell-O at you.
00:22:54.400 Yes. Well, and Joy Behar also is like a little chihuahua that's just yipe, yipe, yipe, yipe,
00:23:01.280 yipe, yipe, yipe, all the way through.
00:23:03.560 You know, but you can't euthanize her like you could.
00:23:07.780 But no, you would not want to talk about that, for sure.
00:23:11.360 No, hang on just a second. I just, I want to play, because Joy Behar, I said this about
00:23:15.080 her yesterday, and she actually has made a statement. Sarah, could you play the Joy Behar
00:23:21.220 response?
00:23:25.780 All right, okay. All right, go ahead.
00:23:28.460 So all of this stuff has now made the impeachment for next week. And by the way, I think I'm going
00:23:35.220 to talk to you guys on Thursday, right after the impeachment. I hope we can work that out
00:23:39.000 next week, okay, so I can, you know, weigh in with my perspicacity on it. But it has made
00:23:45.200 this a carnival. Now it's a carnival. It's not a serious political hearing. It's not something
00:23:52.600 that would improve the nation, a stellar exposition of democracy. It is a carnival.
00:24:00.200 Okay, so let me take a one-minute break and come back and ask you about the timing of this
00:24:05.660 carnival. So it will go to really, why are they doing this? They don't really have a case. Why
00:24:12.580 are they doing it? Why are they doing it right before the holidays when everybody's going to tune
00:24:16.720 out? This is the best of the Glenn Beck program.
00:24:32.900 Hey, it's Glenn. And if you like what you hear on the program, you should check out Pat Gray
00:24:37.280 Unleashed. His podcast is available wherever you download your favorite podcast. Hi, it's Glenn.

00:24:53.960 So I talked to somebody on Capitol Hill yesterday, talked to a couple of people and I asked them,
00:25:00.420 I said, so what are the Democrats doing? What do they have? And he said, they don't have anything.
00:25:06.060 Glenn, there's nothing new here. It's really nothing for the president to worry about at this point.
00:25:12.880 A, do you agree with that? What do your sources tell you? And if that is the case,
00:25:19.140 why are they moving forward with it? And if it's not the case, why would they move forward with
00:25:25.800 impeachment now when you're approaching the holidays and so everybody's interest is going
00:25:30.800 to be elsewhere? Bill O'Reilly. And I don't have an astute assistant like Stu sitting next to me with
00:25:38.860 the, you know, that's me, the astute assistant. Right. Okay. So there isn't anything that would
00:25:47.080 rise to the removal of a president. Everybody knows that unless something else comes out right now.
00:25:54.300 It's not even going to be close in the Senate. McConnell already has his game plan. He's not
00:25:59.300 going to tell anybody, but it's a quick strike dismissal. Don't even know if they'll vote.
00:26:04.960 They're just going to get rid of it. Okay. Stop, stop, stop. Yep. Doesn't that hurt the
00:26:11.520 Republicans? No, because the American, the American public is tuning out of this. All right. Now cable
00:26:19.180 news will get decent ratings next week for the first hearing, but they've had enough. If you look at
00:26:23.880 the polls, uh, people aren't buying this only the zealots are buying it because they want them out.
00:26:30.000 All right. Isn't it, but isn't it worth the Senate putting an end to this by bringing those people up
00:26:38.540 to testify? They know what they're going to say. Listen to me. They don't want to do that. They
00:26:42.960 don't want to do it. They would already have done it back. They would already have had many hearings
00:26:47.940 and subpoenas. If they want to do that, they just want to get rid of it. Then it's a mistake
00:26:52.460 because you're letting the DNC, you're letting the DNC use a foreign government to be able to
00:26:59.380 influence our elections. We don't care about collusion anymore. Then back back. God, you just
00:27:05.680 do try to get them back. I'll get them back. I will astutely do that. Okay. The Republicans know
00:27:12.120 this is bull and they want to get rid of it as fast as possible. And here's how they know the
00:27:17.840 reason this is happening at all is because the Democrats have no one to run against Trump next
00:27:24.340 year. They have no one. So to mask that disaster, to keep the unbelievably incompetent candidates
00:27:36.700 away from the public, they have launched this impeachment with the very slender hope that maybe
00:27:45.400 they could get something, which is not happening. That's why they're doing it. Because Kamala Harris and
00:27:53.620 Beto O'Rourke and Castro and Klobuchar, nobody likes them. Beck. All right. They have nobody.
00:28:05.920 Every time Joe Biden opens his mouth, we find out that his cousin or niece got a million dollars from
00:28:14.340 Tanzania. All right. They can't put them out. So they want to mask it. And that's why this is
00:28:25.240 correct. So why not a teach them a lesson that you cannot do this to a political system? You can't do this to a
00:28:37.220 country. You can't you can't come out with hang on. Let me speak. Bill. Why not? Why not also expose what they were
00:28:48.160 really doing? And taking all of these lousy candidates, Bernie Sanders, Warren and everybody
00:28:55.880 else. And if you have the impeachment hearing in the Senate, they must be there. So you take them off
00:29:02.560 the campaign trail. You discredit all of the DNC. You discredit and you end once and for all
00:29:10.160 this nonsense of of of Donald Trump colluding because, number one, the press would never report
00:29:21.280 it honestly. Number two, it would take all the oxygen out of the room for what, five months,
00:29:29.540 six months before all of this is done. They just want to get rid of it because they think
00:29:35.120 that Trump can take it on his own and ram it down their throats, which he will. And that the Justice
00:29:41.880 Department in the spring, Durham, is going to show all this and indict people. Well, if that is if
00:29:50.800 that is doing it, if that is department's going to do it, if that's true, then then I then I would
00:29:58.300 agree with it. I don't. That's the track back. That's that's why Pompeo goes to I'm sorry. That's
00:30:05.120 why the Attorney General Barr goes to Italy. We talked about this last week. Do you not remember
00:30:09.940 what we said last week? Oh, my gosh, Bill O'Reilly, don't play this game with me. Don't play this game
00:30:14.480 with me. You know, I have been I have been waiting for IG reports. We've been waiting for anyone that I
00:30:25.480 talk to people on Capitol Hill. And the stuff that they don't know is going on is remarkable. And
00:30:33.280 these are very well informed people. So I'll believe it when I see it. It's going to be the
00:30:40.240 Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Horowitz will eke out whatever he wants. He's just he's a deep stater.
00:30:46.360 But I have some confidence in Barr and Durham that they are. And I think that'll happen.
00:30:52.080 What do you think? I could be wrong on that. I could be wrong. But that's what the
00:30:56.260 Senate Republicans are banking on. Bill, do you buy the reports that Barr was asked to
00:31:01.340 come out and say publicly that Trump did not break any laws and decided to refuse that request?
00:31:07.120 Was that in The Washington Post? It was in one of your favorite sources.
00:31:11.060 Yeah. If it was in The Washington Post, I don't believe it. It might be true. But I don't believe
00:31:17.840 anything in that newspaper. They also reported the Nationals won the World Series. Do you believe
00:31:21.960 that? I saw that with my own eyes, though. All right. All right. So that reportage didn't
00:31:27.280 even have to happen. I you know, and believe me, Stu, that wasn't an anonymous source about
00:31:33.120 the Nats. All right. We saw it. That's true. Whenever you see anonymous sources in The
00:31:38.300 Washington Post, New York Times, CNN, don't believe it. All right. Back with more from Bill
00:31:46.420 O'Reilly, Bill O'Reilly dot com. He has his new book, The United States of Trump,
00:31:50.860 How the President Really Sees America. It's on sale now. It's a must read. Pick it up.
00:31:56.120 The United States of Trump, How the President Really Sees America.
00:31:59.340 This is the best of the Glenn Beck Program.
00:32:15.240 Like listening to this podcast? If you're not a subscriber, become one now on iTunes.
00:32:20.280 And while you're there, do us a favor and rate the show.
00:32:23.000 I want to talk to you a little bit about a story that came out yesterday, day before,
00:32:27.520 that you might have read. Probably not of great interest to anyone, but I wanted to address it.
00:32:34.060 There was a story that came out in The Hollywood Reporter and Variety and others that Glenn Beck's
00:32:40.420 The Blaze is going to end on linear TV. Digital properties will continue. If you remember,
00:32:47.040 and you've been listening to me for a long time, about 2010, or at least Fox 2010, early 2011,
00:32:54.360 we started The Blaze in 2010. And the idea was, the first idea was just to pay for all the research
00:33:04.460 that we were doing for my show. And so we started The Blaze just as a offshoot of, you know,
00:33:13.440 just a news gathering place. Then, when we saw the state of the control of cable and the horizon
00:33:25.680 of what was coming, we knew that cable was not the place to be. In fact, I said to Stu every day,
00:33:32.580 and verify this, Stu, every day from like 2009 until the day we left Fox, I said,
00:33:38.380 we have to get out of here. This whole industry is going to burn to the ground. Yeah, you were never
00:33:42.120 a fan of the cable sort of thing. And, you know, you made that clear on the air even when we were,
00:33:48.860 you know, doing it. Right. So we were doing it, and we did it because in 2010 and 11 and 12,
00:33:56.120 that was still the major force. It was still a time where, you know, every time you tried to play
00:34:01.340 a video on your phone, it would buffer for minutes. You know, you couldn't, no one knew
00:34:06.420 how to get things on their TV that were streaming. It was really early. Remember, it was still at the
00:34:11.200 time when people would go, oh, you do an internet show? Yeah. I mean, it was, it was not, it was just
00:34:17.780 not anything that anybody believed in at the time. Well, technology has changed a great deal.
00:34:24.820 And when it comes to cable contracts, if you look at, you know, what is it, Fox Nation,
00:34:30.940 which I'm sure is a fine service. If you look at Fox Nation, they don't have any other major talent
00:34:35.720 on Fox Nation. And the reason why is because they have cable contracts. We have those same kind of
00:34:40.920 cable contracts. And it's why we haven't had a YouTube page. I haven't had a Glenn Beck YouTube
00:34:47.040 page until this year. We started a few months ago. You know, everybody else has, you know,
00:34:54.120 500,000, a million people. Some people have 5 million people on YouTube. Well, we didn't have
00:35:01.260 one because I couldn't post any of my material on YouTube because of our cable contracts.
00:35:08.400 We now have, we now have Dave Rubin as part of our team. We have Mark Levin. You'll notice Mark
00:35:17.620 Levin doesn't have a show on the Blaze Linear channel, if you're watching cable, because
00:35:23.980 of contracts. The straw that broke the camel back, I mean, we have been doing this, we've been going
00:35:31.200 here for a very long time. And we had made the decision and we knew what we were going to do and
00:35:36.080 go all 100% digital for a long time. But let me just give you one story that really, I think,
00:35:44.480 really, truly says it all. AT&T loses a whopping, this is from Variety, AT&T loses whopping 1.4
00:35:57.360 million TV customers in third quarter. People are cutting the cable in numbers that are a death
00:36:08.580 spiral. We can't, and I love the cable people that have carried our show and I am grateful
00:36:16.220 for everything that they have done and I hope that they feel we have been good partners to them.
00:36:21.280 And I appreciate everybody who's watched us on cable. But we are now being, because of our contracts
00:36:27.840 and we live up to our contracts, we have to make a choice. We either put these things on Facebook,
00:36:35.260 YouTube, and our own digital platform, or they go on cable and that's it. It's, that's, that's the
00:36:44.620 losing proposition. So we are, we are exciting, very excited about the future. And we really,
00:36:55.940 truly want to thank our, our cable companies that have been with us. And we wish them the best,
00:37:01.880 we really do. But just in the last 90 days alone, on my YouTube channel, which by the way,
00:37:10.600 didn't have any subscribers because we didn't have one really, didn't have anything just a few months
00:37:16.340 ago. In the last 90 days, 141 million minutes have been watched of content. Over the last 90 days on
00:37:25.820 the Blaze TV YouTube channel, which couldn't post anything, you know, in the, in the days gone by,
00:37:32.820 we now had in the last 90 days, 156 million minutes. And on Blaze TV, 260 million minutes have been
00:37:43.620 consumed. That's all online. We had to make the decision, where are we going? And where is the
00:37:52.660 world going? And the world is going digital. And our goal is to be with you wherever you are.
00:38:01.120 And companies like Amazon, Netflix, Disney Plus, that's the future. That is the future. And we hope
00:38:10.040 to be the news and conservative commentary and the libertarian commentary, the common sense.
00:38:17.060 We want everyone here who loves the Bill of Rights and loves, loves America. If you agree with the
00:38:23.080 Bill of Rights, and you love America, and that doesn't mean you're blindly loving America, you can
00:38:28.720 point out its flaws, but you don't want to see her destroyed. This is the place for you. And we are
00:38:35.380 growing at exponential growth, growth, not only in subscriptions and and everything else, our subscriber
00:38:43.580 list. When everybody said, Oh, Glenn Beck's a genius. And I was like, No, no, we're really not.
00:38:50.140 It's just common sense. Glenn Beck's a genius. Everybody, everybody, when I was winning awards
00:38:54.820 for being a genius, the blaze is bigger in subscribers now than then. It's bigger now than
00:39:02.280 it's ever been. And so anybody who was counting us out, don't bet against people who have nothing to
00:39:10.040 lose and don't care. So we're bigger than we've ever been. And we plan on being here for a very long
00:39:19.980 time and leading the way. We do also have to announce, however, the closing of our eight track
00:39:26.180 tape division. We will no longer be producing Glenn shows on eight track tapes. Are we failing?
00:39:32.700 Well, we have failed. And we haven't sold one in about 20 years. Wow. So we really probably should
00:39:38.200 have closed it a while ago. Yeah. But I just, you know, I just kept thinking it was going to make a
00:39:42.580 comeback. And well, but the good news is I am doing this show in AM stereo quad. Oh, so. So we got that
00:39:51.340 going. Quad. Yeah. Nice. When you get to quad, you know, you're doing well. Yeah. Did you see, by the way,
00:39:56.220 the, you mentioned Disney plus the, the amount of money they are spending on like on some of these
00:40:02.740 shows. Over a hundred million dollars for one series. There's one, and it's, it's tied into
00:40:08.640 Marvel. You know me with the superhero movies. I don't understand any of it, but they're one of the
00:40:13.680 Marvel series they're apparently doing. And, and listen, I mean, how much money are they going to
00:40:18.600 make off of this? They're saying, if you don't see this TV series, you're not probably going to
00:40:23.080 understand the Marvel movies anymore. Like, Oh my God. I mean, this is unbelievable. They're
00:40:27.940 going to make so much money, but they're spending, I think it's $24 million an episode. Oh my gosh.
00:40:35.180 On tell on a television show. Oh my gosh. I mean, you could see, I read a, I read a story about
00:40:40.400 something that they're doing with the star Wars series and, um, the star Wars series, they're
00:40:46.840 spending a hundred thousand dollars or a hundred million dollars. And I think it's for an episode
00:40:52.780 and apparently the graphics are all way ahead. It is supposedly stunning. Uh, Bob Iger has watched
00:41:01.700 it now three times. The first one to see a rough cut, to make sure the story was right. The second
00:41:07.800 time to see if his notes had been implemented. And the third time, because he was just like,
00:41:12.720 I'm blown away. I'm just blown away. Just turning into a fan. Yeah. I mean, uh, this is the, is this
00:41:18.160 the, the bounty, the, I keep thinking about the Boba Fett show, but it's really not about Boba Fett,
00:41:22.680 but it's about a bounty hunter. It's like, uh, I keep, I don't know the name of it. I keep thinking
00:41:26.580 it's the Metachlorians, which is always like, I don't want to watch that. Mandalorian. Mandalorian.
00:41:31.660 Yeah. Mandalorian. Uh, that I was like Disney plus. I mean, I got, I got a couple of kids. I'm still,
00:41:37.720 I just went to Disneyland. I have no plans of getting Disney plus. I just ordered it this week. The second I saw
00:41:42.080 the star Wars thing. I'm like, crap. I just, you know what I did is I signed up. Uh, and then,
00:41:46.980 uh, I, uh, gave them God only knows how much money to buy like three years in advance. Cause it was
00:41:52.980 like less, it was like four bucks a month or something. If you do it in advance, I found a
00:41:57.180 special offer online. I'm a coupon cutter. I got a year because it was cheaper for a year. I didn't
00:42:03.740 see the four years. Yeah. It was three or four years or something. Um, and then right after that,
00:42:07.780 like all these phone companies started saying, by the way, you get a year free of a Disney plus.
00:42:12.080 With your subscription to your phone. I'm like, wait, what the hell? We're not dumb. No, they're
00:42:17.880 not dumb. And now here's where this problem, this is where it's going to turn into a problem
00:42:21.600 because all of these companies that own all this IP, they own all, you know, they own Disney on star
00:42:28.940 Wars, all of the Disney movies, all of the touchstone movies, uh, all of the Fox movies,
00:42:36.460 they own all of that stuff. So now what are they going to do with the license with Netflix?
00:42:45.420 They can't cancel the license because they have a contract with Netflix and Amazon, but are they
00:42:51.720 going to say to Netflix, when this contract is up, we're pulling all of our material.
00:42:58.180 They'll gut places like Netflix. Although by then Netflix has so much original stuff.
00:43:04.500 They're indispensable too, or you get to have a bunch of subscriptions for a while. I don't
00:43:10.240 know how this shakes out in the end. Uh, there's going to be a lot of, uh, you know, a lot of
00:43:14.460 options to, to get your entertainment. Well, you're going to, you're already starting to see
00:43:18.920 things like, you know, I don't know, Pluto and, and Hulu that will Hulu now is Comcast. Uh, so
00:43:26.620 that's Comcast universal, but an NBC, but you're seeing other things that are just saying, we're
00:43:32.920 just going to put a linear stream up of these channels. And so when you, when you start to
00:43:40.740 have a linear stream, that's free, and then you can go into an upgrade and say, I want the
00:43:48.160 whole Disney plus, not just what they're releasing every day in a linear stream. You know what I
00:43:53.700 mean? I mean, you're replacing cable with things like Pluto and Pluto doesn't, it's not, I mean,
00:44:00.000 it's like your cable company, but it's, you're not paying for it. You know, there's no cable
00:44:03.960 service there. I mean, you're, you're just going online and you're seeing all these shows.
00:44:09.100 What I need now is a way to ingest multiple shows at the same time, because right now,
00:44:16.500 all I can do is watch one show at a time and there's too many shows I want to watch. So
00:44:20.300 now I need like, I need a way to like matrix, like it plug in. Yes. So they just insert
00:44:25.400 all the shows as if I've enjoyed them. See, cause I'm, I'm kind of there. What I'm thinking
00:44:29.700 is I need a way to never go to work, kiss my wife, see my children, just be able to watch
00:44:38.380 all of the quality programming. And this is your wife and children approved, approved this
00:44:42.400 part. It was the kiss my wife part. Yeah. She's like, Oh, I gotta kiss him still. Let him plug
00:44:50.160 in. The blaze radio network on demand.
