Summary

The protesters are a huge problem. We go into the new media accusations against them, and we talk about how the media is actually treating this pandemic themselves. George Stephanopoulos and Chris Cuomo are two amazing examples that we get into today. Charlie Kirk from Turning Point USA joins us to talk about a pretty harsh piece by the New York Times. Cheryl Atkinson goes with us to discuss the way that they are fact checking, quote-unquote, all the news of the day. And we go through the coronavirus update, and talk about the bizarre Glenn story about the origins of hydroxychloroquine.

00:00:00.000 Welcome to the podcast. The protesters are a huge problem. I don't know if you know this.
00:00:04.460 We go into the new media accusations against them and we talk about how the media is actually
00:00:09.060 treating this pandemic themselves. They're telling us to all stay in our homes. What
00:00:13.880 are they doing? George Stephanopoulos and Chris Cuomo. Two amazing examples that we
00:00:19.920 get into today. Charlie Kirk from Turning Point USA joins us. He is the subject of a
00:00:25.480 pretty harsh piece by the New York Times. We'll go into the reaction as to how the
00:00:31.400 media is looking at him and his relation to these protests. Cheryl Atkinson goes with
00:00:37.280 us to talk about Facebook and the way that they are fact-checking, quote-unquote, all of
00:00:42.180 the news of the day. And we go through the coronavirus update and talk about the
00:00:50.460 bizarre Glenn story about the origins of hydroxychloroquine. Now, every once in a
00:00:58.260 while, Glenn comes up with one of these stories. Is this one actually accurate? You hear the
00:01:03.100 story and we fact-check it live in hour three today of the program. Don't forget to go to

00:01:55.060 All right, real quick. Let me just go through some of the numbers. Total confirmed cases worldwide.
00:02:04.960 We're almost at 2.5 million. We are up about 2,100 in deaths worldwide. The U.S. now has 792,938
00:02:19.480 confirmed cases, and we're up about 2,000 deaths overnight. The U.S. currently has 13,951 people in
00:02:28.580 serious or critical condition, up slightly about 600 from yesterday.
00:02:34.960 Now, let me give you some of the other news and try to show you what's coming over the horizon
00:02:39.380 because I think some of these things, well, they all tie together and what we're looking at
00:02:46.020 going forward. First of all, I've been telling you about meat prices. Meat prices are going to go up.
00:02:52.740 It will be temporary, but they will go up. The National Guard has just been deployed to two meat processing
00:02:59.640 plants in Iowa. After the Smithfield meat plant was closed in North Dakota last week, workers from
00:03:06.280 Smithfield were apparently hired by JBS National Beef Packing Company. Tyson's Food also had an
00:03:14.940 outbreak and is closing one of its Iowa plants, the meat processing plant. The National Guard is
00:03:20.220 expected to help with testing and medical care of the workers in an attempt to try to get the food
00:03:25.200 processing plants back online more quickly. The Iowa meat packers produce about a third of the nation's
00:03:31.880 pork and 15% of our beef. So with the two plants going out in Iowa and then the plant, the Smithfield
00:03:43.400 plant up in North Dakota, you're looking at about 50% of all of the pork in America offline.
00:03:48.920 This means that something we haven't seen, I think, since the Great Depression, hog farmers
00:03:55.260 may be forced to euthanize and just bury their hogs. Even the FDA, even if the FDA buys hogs from
00:04:04.060 farmers without production plants to slaughter in the process, the meat, the animals are going to
00:04:09.500 have to be put down. Let's see. Let's go for Vladimir Putin for the win.
00:04:18.920 West Texas oil crashes 300% to negative $41 per barrel. I know this doesn't make sense,
00:04:28.680 but I make sense of it in the podcast. You can hear today's podcast wherever you get podcasts.
00:04:34.260 It's an hour or two of the show where I explain what happened yesterday. It's really important
00:04:39.520 that you understand and how it works because it's going to happen again. This is the first time that
00:04:45.900 it's ever happened in history. It's going to happen again, probably in the next couple of weeks.
00:04:50.680 This is all coming from Russia and Saudi Arabia. Russia threatened to just open up their lines and
00:04:58.760 pump 20% more oil. This is before COVID hit. Saudi Arabia said, really? We'll outlast you.
00:05:06.360 They just open up full bore. Then COVID hit and there was way too much oil. We're not driving.
00:05:12.620 We're not using heating oil. The price result is the price for fuel and oil has dropped 35%.
00:05:22.100 We're not at the bottom yet. Trump has temporarily suspended immigration into the U.S.
00:05:30.760 Now, this comes from a story that we have been talking about here for a while.
00:05:37.040 These countries in South America and Mexico have not prepared for this at all. They have not hit their
00:05:45.620 peak yet. They are going to be in serious, serious trouble. We as a nation should help them in any way
00:05:54.980 we can, but we should not have open borders. Anybody who right now is complaining that these people on
00:06:03.140 the streets going to church, they're going to get everybody sick are going to be exactly the same
00:06:08.740 people who are telling us that we have to let Mexicans and people on our border in to flood our
00:06:15.720 hospitals. It will be disastrous. It will be disastrous for the president and PR because you know exactly how
00:06:23.440 the press is going to handle it. It will be a disaster for our hospitals. It will be disaster for
00:06:29.420 everything all around, including the people on the borders. Keep your eye on this. Eight out of 10
00:06:37.540 Americans want immigration to stop right now for the U.S. So this is not a bunch of xenophobes. This is
00:06:45.100 eight out of 10 Americans say, stop it right now. If our government will listen to the people, which they
00:06:53.200 don't have a habit of doing at all, we can avoid more pain and suffering and trouble, but that is
00:07:01.080 not going to happen. Second night of riots in Paris happened yesterday because of the racist police
00:07:09.160 locking down communities. I'm only pointing this out because France is ahead of us. This same kind of
00:07:18.260 stuff is going to be happening here in our streets by the same kind of socialist, uh, fomenters of,
00:07:26.160 of revolution. The States now are burning through their cash for unemployment payments. Uh, what does
00:07:33.080 that mean? That means all of their pensions, all of the things that they promised everybody and we all
00:07:38.840 knew would collapse. We all said we wouldn't pay for because they made their choice. I live in Texas for a
00:07:46.920 reason. I didn't help make that choice. I knew that was insane in California when you started it.
00:07:52.440 Well, now because of Corona virus, they're burning through all that cash for unemployment and they're
00:07:58.460 all going to come to the federal government for a handout and the federal government will bail them
00:08:04.520 out. This is not going to sit well with people who played the game played by the rules and now are
00:08:13.080 having their money taken from them in taxes, also taken from them through inflation, which will come
00:08:21.660 after deflation. Listen to last hour for more information on that. Another thing that we're
00:08:29.900 going to have a problem with, there is a Corona virus crime wave that looks like it is starting to
00:08:36.420 happen now, uh, because we have released so many prisoners. This crime wave is already sweeping
00:08:44.680 other parts of the world and it is going to come here and the people will beg for the top to come
00:08:53.920 down. Meanwhile, Mark Zuckerberg, uh, is, is saying that, uh, anybody who is organizing these lockdown
00:09:03.780 protests are spreading misinformation and he is going to be banning all of that misinformation.
00:09:14.120 This is also going to add to a very toxic stew that Americans are not going to sit for. We don't
00:09:23.400 believe the media. You're now taking a, an organization like Facebook and they are coupling with the WHO.
00:09:32.420 They're coupling with the UN and they're coupling with governments here and abroad. And they are
00:09:39.400 silencing the voices of people who happen to disagree. Uh, this is not going to end well for anybody.
00:09:48.640 Uh, meanwhile in China, China now is saying that American democracy is dying. Declaring Washington
00:09:57.940 is no match for China. Uh, it's a dying democracy. It spread to the U S and in the U S it's, it's almost
00:10:08.280 as if the U S is a primitive society. It shouldn't have been like this. If the U S had the slightest
00:10:14.560 science and organization to put it bluntly, according to the Chinese, the U S is no match for China
00:10:21.360 in terms of anti-epidemic organization and mobilization. The U S political system has been hit by the pandemic
00:10:28.240 on its weak side. And we were willing to show understanding for that. After all, every system
00:10:34.100 has its weaknesses. Buckle up.
00:10:39.040 things are not going to go well with China.
00:10:49.220 What we have coming
00:10:51.860 is the crushing of the American entrepreneur,
00:10:57.220 the crushing of 48% of the workforce that works for a small local business,
00:11:05.060 the implosion of trust with the media and with the government,
00:11:11.960 an implosion of trust on social media and any of these outlets.
00:11:23.660 we have a colossal loss of jobs. We're going to have hunger and, uh, people out of housing,
00:11:36.980 homelessness. It is coming our way.
00:11:41.120 It is so critical that you don't
00:11:53.720 play in to any of the anger or the hatred.
00:12:01.760 If we are to survive, we need to help each other.
00:12:05.560 If we are to survive, we need to double our efforts on feeding each other,
00:12:14.000 healing each other, helping each other, teaching each other.
00:12:21.580 Everyone is going to come with a solution.
00:12:24.780 Everyone is going to come with a solution.
00:12:27.160 There is only one solution.
00:12:29.180 And hopefully you're finding that right now at home.
00:12:35.500 Your solution lies in your own family and in your own neighbors.
00:12:41.280 All of this stuff with politics doesn't mean diddly squat to you in your home right now.
00:12:47.900 What does matter is getting back to work so you can feed your family.
00:12:53.720 What does matter is how your family is doing and the education that they have.
00:12:58.240 What does matter is you being able to reach out to your family.
00:13:06.940 All of the other stuff is meaningless.
00:13:10.280 It's non-essential.
00:13:15.840 If we don't reach out to one another and we don't bolster one another and we don't do it with,
00:13:21.920 and we do it with cheer and light heart is light hearts and we do it with compassion.
00:13:32.120 Darkness will win.
00:13:34.820 There is a concerted effort.
00:13:37.540 There is a concerted effort now to just dismiss those little entrepreneurs.
00:14:03.100 But they don't make a difference.
00:14:06.540 I mean, okay, maybe Sonic.
00:14:09.600 I mean, we can't lose Sonic and we can't lose Starbucks.
00:14:14.620 But what?
00:14:16.160 They have a little store where?
00:14:18.240 What?
00:14:21.140 That's who the majority of Americans or 48% of Americans work for.
00:14:25.640 The little guy that is having a hard time getting a loan right now.
00:14:32.120 If they break the back of our spirit of entrepreneurship,
00:14:35.880 if they break the back of the local business,
00:14:40.060 that's what set America apart.
00:14:44.040 That's the American dream.
00:14:47.920 To be able to chart your own course.
00:14:50.120 Not to be successful,
00:14:51.440 but to chart your own course.
00:14:54.320 That cannot be broken.
00:15:01.500 Hard times made us.
00:15:05.200 And they will make us again.
00:15:08.680 We will be stronger as we come out the other side of this.
00:15:12.900 But it's going to be a schlog.
00:15:15.540 But as long as we have one another,
00:15:18.300 America will come through it.
00:15:23.840 And we will once again be the wonder of the world.
00:15:28.540 Around my house, we've been cooking a lot more these days.
00:15:31.500 And dad's behind the grill.
00:15:33.560 It's a great way to stay close as a family.
00:15:36.260 Actually, my son and I are enjoying cooking the evening meal.
00:15:40.060 We are smoking meats.
00:15:41.580 Yes, we're practically professionals.
00:15:43.740 Actually, don't tell anybody.
00:15:45.060 It's really, really simple with a rec tech grill
00:15:47.360 because we turn it on, set the temperature,
00:15:49.640 put the meat in, come back five hours later,
00:15:51.700 and then everybody raves.
00:15:53.000 It's a game changer for your family.
00:15:55.580 It's a rec tech grill.
00:15:57.300 It goes way above and beyond with the grilling experience.
00:16:00.080 It's a Wi-Fi based smart technology,
00:16:03.040 multiple temperature sensors to ensure that you're going to get a smooth,
00:16:06.460 even cooking experience.
00:16:08.180 No charcoals, no gas, nothing.
00:16:10.880 You're cooking with wood, but you're not hauling the wood in.
00:16:13.940 You have to just check this out.
00:16:15.620 And enter today for your chance to win the same grill that I use
00:16:18.960 with rec tech's Father's Day contest.
00:16:21.360 Go to rec tech grills dot com slash back.
00:16:24.160 That's rec tech grills with an S dot com slash back.

00:16:30.040 This week, the chairman Maui's will be given out our Maui Awards,
00:16:35.800 which are just it's a beautiful statue of chairman Mao made in China.
00:16:40.640 They are gorgeous.
00:16:43.100 And of course, a lot of sheriffs, police officers, mayors,
00:16:49.020 governors have been vying for this coveted Maui Award,
00:16:52.400 chairman Maui Award, and we will be presenting that.

00:17:13.120 All of those available for you now to vote on, you know,
00:17:17.160 best arrest by an ensemble and best use of police resources.
00:17:21.380 I mean, there's some really there's some really good stuff there.
00:17:24.700 Best achievement in a criminal takedown.
00:17:28.760 So you just don't want to you just don't want to miss the Maui's this year.
00:17:32.760 We'll be presenting them on the radio here in just a couple of days.
00:17:37.240 So get your votes in for your consideration.
00:17:40.260 I want to bring in Charlie Kirk.
00:17:42.080 He is the founder and president of Turning Point USA.
00:17:44.520 He is being accused of of starting all of these all of these protests all over the country.
00:17:53.420 Charlie, what are you doing, man?
00:17:56.640 How dare I talk about, you know, I know.
00:17:59.460 Should exercise their First Amendment honor to be here, Glenn.
00:18:02.040 Good morning.
00:18:02.800 Yeah, you know, I it's incredible.
00:18:04.500 I said last week, I hope that the students of America participate in peaceful rebellion.
00:18:12.240 The operative word there is peaceful, Glenn.
00:18:14.920 And and the media seem to find a lot of issue with that.
00:18:20.040 And I even went to say socially distance yourself, wear masks, be respectful.
00:18:25.780 But I did say that I believe it is it is uniquely American.
00:18:31.440 It is a moral thing to do to rise up against tyranny.
00:18:35.640 I mean, let's take California, for example, especially Ventura County in Ventura County on Easter Sunday.
00:18:41.900 You could go through a drive through fast food restaurant or a drive through marijuana dispensary with no issue at all from the Ventura County ruling class.
00:18:52.640 But you could not go get drive through communion.
00:18:55.780 You could go to a home improvement store on Easter Sunday with hundreds of people in the store.
00:19:00.980 And who knows how many people might have gotten contaminated.
00:19:03.640 But you could not have 10 people peacefully congregate on Easter Sunday in a congregation or in a church to celebrate the holiest day on our our Christian calendar.
00:19:14.600 So it's long overdue, Glenn.
00:19:16.080 And again, it's peaceful rebellion.
00:19:17.900 I'm not calling for any sort of the nonsense the leftist media is accusing us of supporting.
00:19:23.580 But I think I'm so tired.
00:19:24.700 I am so tired of their double standard.
00:19:28.120 I mean, I remember when Palin said that you were targeting a district and everybody knew exactly what they said.
00:19:34.080 And then they did two weeks of how dare her say targeting.
00:19:37.620 Meanwhile, you have people just this week that have said, you know, the GOP, all these people.
00:19:44.640 I hope they die.
00:19:46.060 We should drag them off to to warehouses and lock them in and let them all let nature take its course.
00:19:54.140 I mean, they're actually talking about violence and the media just doesn't seem to care.
00:20:01.000 So I don't really care what the media says anymore.
00:20:03.220 It doesn't matter.
00:20:04.060 Well, yeah.
00:20:05.040 And Glenn, here's a really important point, too, which is just to kind of highlight the left's double standard.
00:20:10.220 If the left didn't have double standards, they wouldn't have standards at all.
00:20:12.840 Which is when the left was in the streets violently protesting after President Trump's inauguration, they were called heroes.
00:20:24.220 When Madonna was up saying that we have to bomb the White House, she was called a hero.
00:20:28.820 When Antifa has been in the streets for years now wearing masks and they weren't wearing masks because they were worried about catching the Chinese coronavirus.
00:20:38.840 They were wearing masks for a lot of different reasons, mostly anonymity and cowardice.
00:20:42.940 The left called them, including some anchors on CNN, wonderful pro-democracy, anti-fascist protesters.
00:20:50.000 And yet you have constitutional patriots that are rising up peacefully and abiding by the guidelines, saying to these these Democrat governors, enough.
00:20:58.820 Why is it that you've shut down our gun shops, but you've kept the abortion clinics open?
00:21:03.180 Why is it we can't go to church?
00:21:04.780 And Glenn, the final thing I'll say in this is I think it's a good thing for those Americans that weren't around in the Tea Party movement to kind of get a flavor of this, because that's where I cut my political teeth, listening to your show, going to your rallies.
00:21:18.340 And I think there's something uniquely American, something so special to see Americans go peacefully rally around the foundational ideas of liberty, freedom and constitutionally limited government.
00:21:31.700 So, Charlie, let me ask you this.
00:21:34.980 We have been we've just sent today, I think, almost 400,000 meals.
00:21:43.040 I've been sent by my audience up to Detroit, where they are really, really suffering.
00:21:49.180 We have another tractor trailer that's being loaded today, and we'll have more on that coming up if you happen to be following this saga.
00:21:58.160 But there are people that are really hurting.
00:22:00.180 And I would like to talk to you about partnering with your group and targeting cities and targeting areas that are really, truly struggling and just don't have any help.
00:22:17.520 I mean, we're talking at the bottom of the ladder that as I was talking to a state rep out of Detroit, Karen Witsett, I think you know her.
00:22:26.120 I said to I said to her, you know, we you know, you're you're you're not lacking you're you're lacking food.
00:22:33.940 And she said, you know, we're also lacking stoves.
00:22:38.060 We don't these people don't even have stoves.
00:22:41.020 So it's you know, it's it's the worst of the worst, the bottom of the barrel when it comes to need.
00:22:48.580 And I think we can make a big impact in the country by doing good and actually being there for people who need us.
00:22:58.460 Not not all this lip service from Washington.
00:23:02.020 Well, we'd love to do it, Glenn.
00:23:03.680 And we could talk offline about that.
00:23:05.700 And last week, we hosted one of the largest blood drives in Phoenix, Arizona, around the same type of idea at Turning Point USA.
00:23:12.680 Head for the socially distance, of course, wearing masks.
00:23:14.960 And we're just trying to mobilize where we can to help our fellow Americans.
00:23:19.060 I think you bring up a really important point, Glenn, that the media is not talking about, which is I would make the argument all of a sudden done.
00:23:26.040 The biggest impact, the thing that moves the dial the most is going to be Americans helping Americans, churches helping people, charities like you helping people, not the government, not multi trillion dollar spending packages, not free cash in your bank account.
00:23:39.280 It's going to be the partnership of fellow Americans, voluntarily assisting our fellow citizens.
00:23:46.320 And look, if we wanted a huge social welfare state, we'd go to Europe for that.
00:23:50.460 And I think, Charlie, that the the left knows this.
00:23:53.780 It's why the Uber left is trying to turn us against each other and rat on your neighbor.
00:23:59.100 It's our neighbor that is going to help us, not rat on us.
00:24:04.500 And somebody's got to be standing and holding a light going in the opposite direction of rat on your neighbor, turn them in and turn to the government for help.
00:24:16.740 I don't want the government's help.
00:24:18.240 And I don't think most Americans want the government's help.
00:24:22.640 No doubt. And this is this is so important because not every country will has has this type of citizenry that will rise up in the times of crisis.
00:24:33.120 It's built into our spirit. It's built into our history.
00:24:36.240 We should have we should appreciate it and we should advertise the fact that we have a voluntary philanthropy and a spirit and generosity and benevolency in our country.
00:24:47.720 That is so unique. And to your point, I mean, look, the government in a lot of sense, a lot of these states has tried to play big brother.
00:24:57.740 They've tried to be the solving agent of all these things.
00:25:00.240 And you start to see the peaceful backlash against that, rightfully so.
00:25:05.000 And it's really interesting because the left always wants division.
00:25:08.320 The left, they know the more they can divide human beings into human beings, it gives them a license to be able to get the ultimate political power.
00:25:16.260 Well, they're able to divide people when you're literally not able to communicate with your fellow neighbor, your citizen, because they have you domiciled and quarantined within your homes.
00:25:26.180 And so I think what you're doing, Glenn, is so wonderful. It's brilliant. It's moral.
00:25:30.140 And we'd love to help. And I hope more Americans step up to help our fellow citizens in a time of need.
00:25:35.020 Are you concerned at all, especially since you've built this this gigantic movement on social media?
00:25:45.520 Are you concerned at all about how Facebook has now taken the the position that they will kick anybody off that's talking about any of these these movements, any of these, you know, gatherings where they're saying, hey, we we want to be free and ban you and silence your voice?
00:26:11.060 I mean, it didn't just two universities ban you from campus?
00:26:16.520 Yeah. Yeah. Turning Point USA groups. Yes. At Texas Christian University and Baylor University.
00:26:21.800 And as I like to say a lot, whatever happens on college campuses will soon happen in corporate boardrooms and the halls of Congress.
00:26:29.140 Oh, yeah. So the social media tech companies, you have students that have been indoctrinated on college campuses.
00:26:35.020 As graduates, I should say, they're now staffing these tech companies. So the same silencing free speech that you've been covering for the last decade, it doesn't go away.
00:26:43.860 It just it just transfers to a different type of campus, not a college campus, but the campus of Facebook.
00:26:50.640 What really concerns me about the Facebook example, and I spoke out about this in my podcast today, this morning, actually, was that the Facebook if Facebook was required by a judge or a police force to take down the event, I have no problem with that at all whatsoever.
00:27:07.800 But the problem is that Facebook is now playing the government's role. They're playing jury judge and executioner and almost playing moral referees saying, oh, we don't like this.
00:27:17.400 We think it violates guidelines. No, no, no, no. You should keep that up unless a judge comes to you with a court order.
00:27:24.260 Then you take it down. That's reasonable. And what's amazing, Glenn, I can't tell you how we have pleaded with Facebook asking them to take down violent at Antifa events.
00:27:32.800 Oh, yeah. Organized group. I know. They refused to do it. I know. I know. I've we've done it as well.
00:27:40.380 Charlie, the do you believe the governors when they said that we didn't call Facebook, Facebook called us?
00:27:48.520 I mean, we'll never know, but I think there might be some truth to that.
00:27:53.640 I mean, again, they're trying to displace blame on the other side.
00:27:57.080 But from based on the same story I read that you read, yeah, I think that Facebook might have had a revolt within their company of late 20 somethings and early 30 somethings of tech tech engineers in their company that came from some of the hyper elite college campuses that believe that they need to play their role in stamping out the conservative influence in America.
00:28:21.000 And I think it's perfect, perfectly reasonable to speculate that Facebook considers themselves to be so powerful, so omnipotent, so omniscient that they need to exercise that power to make, quote unquote, a better world.
00:28:35.380 When in reality, they're doing the exact opposite.
00:28:38.600 Founder and president of Turning Point USA, Charlie Kirk, thanks for being on with us.
00:28:42.540 You can follow him at TPUSA, also at CharlieKirk11 and TPUSA.com.
00:28:56.140 You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck program.
00:29:05.380 So what happened yesterday with oil has never happened before, and it will happen again, probably in the next couple of weeks.
00:29:20.060 Oil is back up to $20 a barrel today.
00:29:23.920 But yesterday it was trading for negative $30 a barrel.
00:29:31.380 Negative $30.
00:29:32.860 This time yesterday, it had already fallen, I think, 45% in its price.
00:29:41.720 And that was at $12 a barrel, fell 45%.
00:29:46.780 By the end of the day, it had fallen 305%.
00:29:51.780 So why?
00:29:53.560 What happened?
00:29:54.920 Well, we're at the end of the month, and something called oil futures come due.
00:29:59.980 And you've heard for years about oil speculators.
00:30:03.860 These are the people that can either drive the price of oil down or up.
00:30:08.000 They speculate that at the end of the month, oil is going to be worth this amount.
00:30:13.240 And they hope to be able to make money by selling that contract.
00:30:19.420 They said oil is going to be at $20 a barrel.
00:30:23.140 And a month ago, that would have been crazy great.
00:30:27.840 Now, today, with all of the oil, nobody wants oil.
00:30:32.600 So you might have a contract where I can buy oil at $20 a barrel, but everybody's saying, I'm full.
00:30:39.380 I don't have any place to put it.
00:30:41.400 And so these speculators were then there, standing there, holding that contract, saying, wait, I don't actually have a plan.
00:30:52.600 I'm in a glass tower in New York City wearing a suit.
00:30:56.260 I don't have a place to put oil.
00:30:57.820 I just take the contract out, and I'm supposed to sell it to one of you guys.
00:31:02.400 And you guys are supposed to store it someplace.
00:31:04.620 And all of the people standing around going, yeah, I don't have any place to store it.
00:31:07.480 Now, this happened to West Texas oil because it's landlocked, and you have to take delivery in a place called Cushing, Oklahoma.
00:31:19.180 Cushing, Oklahoma, that's where all of the pipelines run into.
00:31:23.000 And so when the oil is pumped, it's pumped to Cushing, Oklahoma, and you take it from there.
00:31:30.620 You have to store it there, and then you can fill up the trucks and take it to the refineries.
00:31:37.480 Well, there is no storage in Cushing, Oklahoma.
00:31:41.180 Everything is full.
00:31:42.860 As I've been telling you for a while, there's going to come a time where oil is in the negative range.
00:31:49.780 Well, it happened yesterday.
00:31:52.300 So we have so much oil that there is no place to put it anymore.
00:31:58.700 And it's especially bad because this is landlocked oil.
00:32:03.260 All of the pipelines that run from West Texas and all of the oil here in America goes to Oklahoma.
00:32:12.500 And rerouting it to a port, I don't even know if you can.
00:32:15.860 I don't know how that works.
00:32:17.600 But this oil has to stop there.
00:32:20.160 So there is no more room.
00:32:22.080 So this means a couple of things.
00:32:25.660 First of all, ah, the oil speculators got crushed yesterday, and it makes me happy because he was standing out on the street going, OK, how about $5 a barrel?
00:32:35.500 How about how about how about how about how about I just give you the oil?
00:32:39.780 You won't take it from me.
00:32:42.300 OK, I pay you $5 a barrel.
00:32:44.620 I tell you, it got to $30.
00:32:46.620 I will pay you $30 to take this oil from me, OK?
00:32:53.740 It wasn't the oil company that was having to pay.
00:32:57.980 It was the speculator who had that contract for delivery.
00:33:02.480 He had to cough up that money.
00:33:05.140 So he had to cough up the money for all of that oil.
00:33:08.100 And then finally, somebody said, all right, at that price, I can find some place to store that oil.
00:33:14.980 So they stored it.
00:33:16.460 But it's not going anywhere anytime soon.
00:33:19.380 So here's here's what this means.
00:33:22.160 This collapse has been engineered by Russia and a little bit by Saudi Arabia, although Saudi Arabia is kind of on our side, at least I think as much as they're on anybody's side.
00:33:33.820 But they caused this by turning on oil production at 20 percent right before covid hit.
00:33:43.600 So they said, we're going to turn up oil production about 20 percent and we're going to cause the price to go down.
00:33:50.280 Russia was doing it to collapse us.
00:33:53.700 Saudi Arabia said, oh, really?
00:33:55.380 Well, let's see who can last longer, you or me.
00:33:59.140 And so Saudi Arabia opened up the spigot all the way and said, we're just going to we're going to pump and pump and pump it full bore.
00:34:06.660 Let's see who could collapse and who who can last, because both of those economies are oil economies.
00:34:14.340 So the oil is what's paying for their government, their stipends, their Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, all of that stuff.
00:34:25.620 Both of these countries collapse if oil prices collapse.
00:34:29.860 So they're playing a game of chicken.
00:34:32.300 Well, we are caught up in it because we're also playing the game of chicken.
00:34:37.560 And Rick Perry was on just what last week saying that we really we really need to stop producing so much oil.
00:34:48.060 The reason why we can't is you just don't shut an industry down, as we're finding out with America, because we've shut America down, because we're no longer flying, because we're no longer driving in our cars every day, because we're headed into the summer and we don't need heating oil.
00:35:06.020 The need for oil is almost stopped.
00:35:09.620 It's almost at zero.
00:35:11.140 It's never happened before in the history of the world.
00:35:14.560 So Texas is the only one.
00:35:17.740 And I shouldn't say Texas American oil companies, the ones that are drilling for oil and getting it out of shale and everything else.
00:35:26.060 All this great technology that made us energy independent in the last year.
00:35:31.780 All of that now is at risk because once you shut it down, it has lasting effects.
00:35:40.180 You can't just turn the entire industry off and then come back to it.
00:35:45.260 Do you remember when when Barack Obama said that we're no longer going to drill in the Gulf of Mexico?
00:35:51.260 If you remember that series of shows I did where I was explaining how drilling actually works in the water, those giant platforms are not owned by these companies.
00:36:02.880 They are rented.
00:36:04.460 And that drilling equipment is wildly expensive.
00:36:08.680 And they're leased for decades.
00:36:11.960 When Obama said we're not going to drill in the Gulf anymore, at least put a moratorium on it for, I think he said, a year or eight months, something like that.
00:36:20.940 That made those leases lapse and expire.
00:36:25.100 And those drilling rigs and he knew exactly what he was doing.
00:36:28.860 Those drilling rigs were taken elsewhere and someone else took them to drill elsewhere in the world and not America.
00:36:38.200 We don't get those back.
00:36:40.100 It's not like they're just short term.
00:36:42.100 That's like 20 years.
00:36:43.520 Those will be there.
00:36:44.320 And you don't just rebuild an oil platform.
00:36:48.640 Same now with the Texas and the American oil industry on land.
00:36:56.780 You don't just shut it down and then reopen.
00:37:00.500 Five million people will lose their jobs.
00:37:04.860 President Trump now is faced with do I bail out?
00:37:09.200 Can you imagine this with Ocasio-Cortez and the left?
00:37:13.060 Do I bail out the oil market in America?
00:37:18.240 Do I do I just pay for it to stay open, even though we don't have any place to put the oil?
00:37:26.320 This is a strategic necessity.
00:37:29.140 We cannot lose our oil industry.
00:37:33.840 Now, this is usually the time that wars are started because Russia is faltering because there's no demand for oil.
00:37:43.560 They have to have it or they will collapse.
00:37:46.740 And you're not playing around with a sane guy.
00:37:49.320 You're playing around with Vladimir Putin, who will kill anyone just so he survives, let alone Russia.
00:37:55.620 He is on the verge of collapse.
00:37:58.620 Saudi Arabia.
00:37:59.580 It's why they're beheading so many people.
00:38:01.600 It's why they're getting so nasty.
00:38:03.260 It's why they've they've gone around and kidnapped all of the royal princesses and princes and all of the royal family because they need the money.
00:38:13.260 They're they're taking these people and putting them in jail and saying that, well, they were doing fraud so they can seize all of that wealth because Saudi Arabia is only held together by the money they give the people because it's a little like Alaska.
00:38:30.260 You get a check from Alaska for all of the oil that is is drilled the same in Saudi Arabia, except it pays for your whole lifestyle.
00:38:40.940 Nobody in Saudi Arabia.
00:38:42.220 No Saudis actually work.
00:38:44.260 They're all basically playboys because everybody gets a share of the oil.
00:38:50.140 So what is Donald Trump going to do?
00:38:55.780 The first thing I would recommend is I know this is going to make a very small dent, but get in your car today and drive, get in your car and just go take a long drive, get in your car.
00:39:06.120 If you haven't filled it up, go fill it up.
00:39:08.460 We've got to move some of this oil.
00:39:11.260 We've got to start consuming oil.
00:39:13.780 One of the reasons why we have to go back online.
00:39:17.120 We have to use this oil.
00:39:20.380 Otherwise, our Navy and our airplanes, they can't fly.
00:39:24.980 And if we go to war ever, we cannot be beholden to anyone else on oil.
00:39:32.320 That's why Germany lost.
00:39:35.580 They lost because they just couldn't handle the oil consumption.
00:39:40.760 They had to have oil to run everything and to make giant refineries to be able to have petrol so they could fly and and sail.
00:39:52.160 That's what we were doing in Saudi Arabia, and that's what they were doing in Saudi Arabia and Egypt as well.
00:39:59.220 They needed the oil of the Middle East.
00:40:02.480 Now, this goes to something else.
00:40:06.200 Our ethanol industry, a lot of byproducts come from ethanol.
00:40:12.720 Well, we're not making ethanol.
00:40:14.580 So now corn futures are down about 20 percent because we use so much corn in ethanol.
00:40:21.460 So now our corn farmers are going to be really hurting and they're not going to be planting as much corn.
00:40:29.300 What does that mean?
00:40:31.200 What does that mean for all of the byproducts from ethanol?
00:40:35.640 This is the beginning of something called deflation, and it's something that Americans have never seen.
00:40:44.000 And it will seem like a good thing at first.
00:40:49.620 Deflation is what's happening right now at your gas station here in Texas.
00:40:53.320 You can buy a gallon of gas for a dollar nine.
00:40:57.860 That's pretty great.
00:40:59.500 Everybody's like, whoa, that's great.
00:41:01.200 I think in California, it's still like sixteen dollars a gallon.
00:41:05.200 The reason why you can now see what your state charges in tax.
00:41:11.220 Again, in Texas, it's a dollar nine.
00:41:14.000 What are you paying?
00:41:15.940 Because everything over that, almost everything over that is taxes.
00:41:21.160 So I know in Connecticut, it's over three dollars a gallon still.
00:41:25.780 That's your state robbing you blind every time you go to the gas station.
00:41:31.120 What is it in California?
00:41:33.000 That's your state robbing you blind every time you go to the gas station.
00:41:39.120 It made you hate the big oil industry, but it's not oil.
00:41:42.700 It's the big government industry that is really raping you at the gas pump.
00:41:47.880 So we're having deflation now, and it seems like it's a good thing, but it's not as it continues, because as this continues, more and more things will lose demand.
00:42:03.540 For instance, the big thing that will affect you is a house.
00:42:08.360 You won't be able to sell your house because your house will be worth 50 percent less.
00:42:13.600 When your house is worth 50 percent less.
00:42:19.160 Can the bank repossess?
00:42:21.920 I don't even know when you're when your house is not worth what you paid for it and you own you owe a lot of money.
00:42:29.380 You better not miss a single payment and you can't get out of it.
00:42:36.820 So everybody else around you, they if they don't own a house, they can go and buy a house at 50 percent less.
00:42:43.540 But you can't because you'll have to cough up all of that money when you try to sell it.
00:42:48.600 There's plenty of money, but nothing our money can buy.
00:42:57.820 That's a line from Rudyard Kipling, and that poem has become more and more accurate every single day.
00:43:11.120 There's plenty of money.
00:43:14.020 But what are you buying?
00:43:15.420 And when deflation is over, then you hit hyperinflation.
00:43:22.360 It goes from the opposite.
00:43:23.560 All of a sudden, everything becomes wildly expensive because like in Venezuela, when you debase the money.
00:43:31.060 That's when it's worthless.
00:43:34.120 It becomes worth less and less until it becomes worth less.
00:43:40.040 That is the end of this cycle.
