00:00:24.140 Why that's important and why power must come back to you and out of the hands of the Federal Reserve.

00:00:31.680 That creature that is actually making it so you aren't free.

00:02:25.540 And thanks for standing with us.

00:02:26.820 Now let's get to work.

00:02:27.820 You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck program.

00:02:43.660 There seem to be some people killed that aren't supposed to be killed.

00:02:47.500 These are violent.

00:02:49.460 If you call them leaders, I don't know if they're leaders or just they rule through violence.

00:02:54.500 But we're looking at it very seriously.

00:02:56.400 The military is looking at it.

00:02:58.760 And we're looking at some very strong options.

00:03:02.120 We'll make a determination.

00:03:03.640 Some of the protesters were killed through the stampeding.

00:03:07.420 I mean, you know, there's so many of them.

00:03:09.540 And some were shot.

00:03:10.980 Are we getting a full report?

00:03:11.980 I'm getting an hourly report.

00:03:13.960 And we're going to make a determination.

00:03:16.540 We are in a dangerous situation.

00:03:19.000 Donald Trump is not somebody whose words you should dismiss if you are talking about him going in and taking care of a situation.

00:03:29.220 For a guy who does not like war, he goes and he uses our military strategically, quickly.

00:03:35.200 But, you know, again, everything in the world is on the edge.

00:03:40.600 And he's kind of in a tough place because he has said, you start killing the protesters and we're locked and loaded.

00:03:48.740 The president blows all of the credibility he's had around that he's built up because he is a man of action, a man of his word.

00:03:57.880 How is he going to react?

00:04:00.060 Goldie Gamari is with us now.

00:04:02.420 She was on with us last week.

00:04:05.100 Persian.

00:04:06.200 Were you ever a citizen of Iran?

00:04:08.020 Did you were you living in Iran when you when when this thing fell or did you come with your parents?

00:04:14.340 So I was born after the 1979 Islamic coup d'etat.

00:04:18.780 I was I was born in Iran, but my parents came to Canada when I was a year old.

00:04:23.060 OK, and you are a human rights activist and watching this and you care deeply, obviously.

00:04:30.000 Tell us what happened over the weekend before we get into Trump.

00:04:33.160 What happened over the weekend?

00:04:34.520 They did seem to have been growing, but at the same time, the oppressions seem to be growing.

00:04:42.700 Yes.

00:04:43.220 So the movement, the revolution has definitely escalated.

00:04:48.420 We saw videos coming out of footage of millions and millions of Iranians all across the country going out into the streets and peacefully marching, peacefully demonstrating.

00:05:00.820 And they're they were saying this is the final battle.

00:05:03.900 Pahlavi will return.

00:05:05.580 Pahlavi is, of course, the crown prince.

00:05:08.360 Reza Pahlavi, who is the leader of the Iranian national revolution.

00:05:12.380 But you're absolutely right.

00:05:13.760 At the same time, we started to see escalating violence.

00:05:17.680 And this is what the regime does.

00:05:20.100 So so right now we're in the endgame.

00:05:22.340 And the reason that the violence is being escalated is because the regime knows that that it's on its way down and it's basically going scorched earth.

00:05:34.420 So what we do now, you know, we spoke about this last time, Glenn, where I said one of the interesting things about what we have seen so far, like this was last week, is that the Internet still hasn't been shut down.

00:05:46.080 And I predicted that I think someone has been smuggling Starlink into the country.

00:05:51.820 And just a few days ago, Elon Musk confirmed that he is actually assisted in, you know, bringing hundreds of thousands of Starlink devices into occupied Iran.

00:06:02.600 So, first of all, I want to give a big, big shout out to Elon Musk.

00:06:06.340 He is he's a hero of the Iranian revolution.

00:06:09.660 Yeah.

00:06:09.780 And Iranians love him.

00:06:10.700 And so so that's how we've been able to get footage come out, because what the Islamic dictatorship has done now is they have shut down the Internet. 0.96

00:06:19.100 They've, you know, cut cut it completely.

00:06:21.260 And we always know that when that happens, that's when they slaughter Iranians. 1.00

00:06:25.600 And so the crown prince, Reza Qahilavi, he has the most reliable sources.

00:06:32.960 And yesterday he did an interview with Maria Bartiromo on Sunday morning teachers, and he confirmed that as of yesterday, the number of casualties in occupied Iran is more than 9-11.

00:06:48.100 So so we know that for a fact.

00:06:50.200 But we also know that this is the final, final push.

00:06:53.960 And President Trump's message has given Iranians a lot of hope.

00:06:59.120 We know that he's going to act because he is a man of his word.

00:07:03.700 It's just a matter of when.

00:07:05.980 So we're all we're all hoping that President Trump acts sooner rather than later, because the situation, it's gotten really bad.

00:07:13.980 It's gotten really bad.

00:07:15.800 Yeah.

00:07:16.200 How how should he react?

00:07:20.320 What should the president do?

00:07:24.140 I'm not I'm not a military strategist.

00:07:27.000 So I can't I can't say obviously, I mean, we don't want like World War three or anything like that. 0.88

00:07:32.080 But, you know, Marco Rubio said it best.

00:07:35.420 There's never been a population where there's never been like a situation where the people of a country are so fundamentally opposed to to those who are running the country.

00:07:46.800 So all I can say is that we all trust in President Trump.

00:07:50.840 We trust in his in his expertise.

00:07:53.940 We know that whatever decision he's going to make is is the right one.

00:07:58.060 Iranians like they're not giving up.

00:07:59.940 They're still in the streets.

00:08:01.040 They're still fighting.

00:08:01.880 So when when the Islamic regime found out that that Elon Musk has helped smuggle in Starlink, they have now brought in military grade jammers from that they purchased from the CCP. 0.94

00:08:17.340 And those military grade jammers are have now jammed the Starlink.

00:08:21.640 So so we're getting even even less even less videos coming out, which means the situation is pretty bad.

00:08:28.780 We know that the Islamic regime, they've also brought in their terrorist proxy forces.

00:08:33.440 But the few messages that we are able to get from inside occupied Iran, what Iranians are telling us is that, yes, the situation is bad.

00:08:42.080 And, you know, what we're seeing right now or what we're hearing about in terms of the casualties, it's maybe only like 20 or 30 percent of the of the truth, like of the actual numbers.

00:08:52.760 But what they're saying is that now is not the time for for tears.

00:08:57.880 This is the final battle.

00:08:58.980 And what Iranians are asking for those of us who are outside of Iran is to be their voice and to just let people know that even though the Internet is shut down, that doesn't mean that the revolution isn't happening.

00:09:12.560 In fact, the revolution is growing.

00:09:15.260 It's basically everyone now.

00:09:16.980 Everyone is out of the streets and it's now or never.

00:09:19.680 And Iranians, they they they can smell and taste freedom after 47 years of Islamic oppression.

00:09:27.680 I will tell you that, you know, I, I, I pray for the Iranian and the Persian people.

00:09:34.000 I pray for this evil, evil regime to come down.

00:09:37.900 I, I do not want our troops to get involved in a another foreign war.

00:09:43.760 But I don't I don't think that it's going to take much from President Trump.

00:09:49.480 If if we withdraw our support or we remain silent, it's going to end up the way it did under Biden and Barack Obama.

00:09:57.100 And that only strengthens our enemy at times.

00:10:01.160 It'll make them stronger, at least for a short period of time.

00:10:04.960 And it will become very, very, very, very, very dangerous for everybody involved and make the people that want to go march in the street the next time a little more hesitant.

00:10:15.740 Because this time we said something and I, I, I'm glad I'm not the president today.

00:10:23.240 Let me just say that.

00:10:24.180 I'm glad I'm not the president today.

00:10:25.460 And I pray that he makes the right decision for everybody involved.

00:10:29.840 Thank you.

00:10:30.980 Go ahead.

00:10:31.640 I'm sure.

00:10:32.480 I'm sure he will.

00:10:33.580 And, you know, I agree with you.

00:10:34.920 I don't want boots on the ground.

00:10:37.080 No, no Iranians want like it's like we don't the Iranian people themselves are the boots on the ground. 0.86

00:10:42.300 Yes.

00:10:42.500 So in that sense, you know, we don't want, you know, we don't want to drag people into another war or anything like that.

00:10:48.540 But again, I'm not a military strategist.

00:10:51.220 But, you know, like maybe president like I'm hoping he does something like, you know, what he did with the nuclear facilities.

00:10:56.780 I don't know.

00:10:57.740 I mean, maybe something like that.

00:10:59.700 Um, but, uh, but what I can say is that, you know, Iranians, they're hopeful and, um, the crown prince, he actually put out a very interesting message yesterday to Iranian people that the mainstream media are not picking up on.

00:11:13.120 So he actually said, so he confirmed yesterday, he said, we are not alone and international help is on the way.

00:11:21.600 So, so he actually said that, um, in his message.

00:11:25.540 So, so that to me gives me hope, uh, and it's given 90 million Iranians hope that president Trump will be doing something.

00:11:33.980 And, you know, we, we have a faith in him that whatever decision it is, it's going to be the best possible decision for everyone.

00:11:41.360 We have one shot at this and, uh, and, you know, president Trump, um, he knows that he knows that he, he has the intel.

00:11:49.080 So we're all very hopeful, uh, you know, like president Trump has never been more, more popular right now in, um, in occupied Iran.

00:11:56.640 Iranians are literally going out and they're renaming signs after him, calling it, uh, president Trump street.

00:12:02.700 But, but not only that, um, Iranians are also know how much support they have from, from, you know, everyone, um, outside.

00:12:10.560 And there's actually just one thing I wanted to say to you personally, Glenn, um, um, I, someone told me to check your, your profile last night.

00:12:20.520 And when I checked your, your profile pictures, um, I got a little emotional.

00:12:25.280 I'm not going to say I got, I got a little bit emotional, um, because what you did, um, you know, for, for your listeners, if, if they don't know, um, you, you changed your bio picture to, to the real picture.

00:12:40.560 And that is just so, um, so meaningful.

00:12:48.320 And I can say that on behalf of all, all Iranians, we're so grateful for, for the solidarity that we're seeing from Americans, because we feel like this is the first time in 47 years that, uh, people are realizing that we're, we're not the enemy of America.

00:13:04.760 We, we love America.

00:13:05.980 We love Americans.

00:13:06.920 We used to be allies before 1979 and, and it's, you know, we're both fighting the same enemy, which, which is this evil, um, Islamic dictatorship. 0.97

00:13:16.340 So, you know, a free Iran is going to mean a safer America. 0.99

00:13:20.320 And I just, I cannot wait until, um, until we can, you know, uh, be like officially right.

00:13:26.340 The allies again.

00:13:27.160 And so just, I want to thank you for your support and solidarity.

00:13:30.220 That's a meaningful gesture.

00:13:31.800 You are more than welcome.

00:13:33.120 I urge everybody to put on your, put on your social media, just put the real flag of Iran, which is, it looks just like the Iranian flag, except it doesn't have the Islamic thing in the middle.

00:13:44.620 It has the golden tiger, uh, in the center, uh, or a lion, sorry.

00:13:50.180 Yeah.

00:13:50.320 The golden lion.

00:13:51.880 Um, and, uh, it, it, uh, I think people all around the world need to stand up for the Persian people.

00:13:59.800 They have been living under this oppressive regime for a long time with so much courage.

00:14:04.480 And like Goldie just said, nobody has really stood up for them.

00:14:08.080 Um, and you know, we, you can never give freedom to people.

00:14:12.120 They have to earn it, but they are earning it and they want it desperately.

00:14:17.180 Um, and this is the turning point.

00:14:19.560 If, if Iran falls, this is the turning point, um, against Islamic extreme extremism. 0.91

00:14:27.380 They no longer have this huge pile of money and this giant proxy that is there.

00:14:33.620 And you will see things begin to turn because of this.

00:14:37.200 I think it's why the left this weekend started coming out against Hamas and saying it's a terrorist organization.

00:14:42.980 They haven't been on that bandwagon for a while.

00:14:45.620 And it's because the Persian and Iranian people are standing up and saying, we're not saying we're against this regime.

00:14:52.880 We're against Sharia law. 0.54

00:14:55.060 We are against this oppressive idea that Islam is a government.

00:15:01.500 It can be a religion, not a government, uh, and it's oppressive. 0.95

00:15:06.080 And they are proving everything that the left has been cozying up to is poison.

00:15:12.860 And it is so important.

00:15:15.320 I don't, I don't want to do it through force.

00:15:17.520 I don't really want us to get involved.

00:15:19.420 I want the people to be able to do it and anything that we can do to strengthen them with our voices and our support online, all of us should be doing anything that we can do with speaking out for, uh, the Iranian and the Persian people and standing up for them, uh, to be able to be free.

00:15:39.280 We should do and Goldie, I would love to, when it falls, I would love to be one of the first

00:15:46.720 people that can walk on a free, the streets of a free Iran and broadcast my show from there.

00:15:52.620 I, you, I be more than welcome.

00:15:55.880 We would love to have you.

00:15:57.320 Oh my gosh.

00:15:58.200 You know, as soon as Iran is free, we're looking forward to welcoming Americans back to Iran. 0.90

00:16:04.300 Like we cannot wait.

00:16:05.560 We cannot wait.

00:16:06.600 And I just wanted to point out something really, really poetic.

00:16:09.780 Um, 47 years ago, Jimmy Carter and the Democrats, um, helped to turn Iran into an Islamic dictatorship. 0.79

00:16:17.560 And now 47 years later, the 47th president of the United States is going to free Iran and, and, you know, fix the mistake that Jimmy Carter and the Democrats made 47 years ago.

00:16:30.160 That's, that's so incredibly poetic.

00:16:31.960 And I just want to say, God bless president Trump.

00:16:34.280 God bless America.

00:16:35.600 Thank you so much, Goldie.

00:16:36.520 I appreciate it.

00:16:37.040 God bless you.

00:16:38.140 Um, if you would, um, uh, like to get more information and follow, please just, um, just, just follow her.

00:16:45.440 Uh, you can find her on X at G G H A M R M A R I. 0.96

00:16:56.460 Um, and follow her on Twitter.

00:16:58.140 You can also find her, um, on YouTube as well, but she gives a good analysis of what is happening.

00:17:03.760 And every day, uh, every day that goes by, it's either going to get stronger or weaker, and it's going to happen quickly when it does.

00:17:13.160 And now is the time to pray for the Iranian and Persian people.

00:17:19.340 Every day, Americans make choices about the shape, our future, our country's future, our own life, right down to which cell phone provider we support.

00:17:27.720 Here's what most people don't realize.

00:18:20.920 Now, back to the podcast.

00:18:21.940 You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck program.

00:18:29.760 So let's start with the big story of the day, the Golden Globe.

00:18:32.540 No, I'm kidding.

00:18:33.860 Not good at that.

00:18:35.120 Let me talk to you a little bit about Jerome Powell.

00:18:37.940 Jerome Powell had a hissy fit last night because on Friday, the DOJ said, look who we're coming after.

00:18:46.200 Now, in case you don't know, you don't go after the Federal Reserve.

00:18:50.980 Unless you're President Trump.

00:18:54.240 Reagan tried to do it, and it didn't go well.

00:18:58.340 It didn't go well for President Reagan.

00:19:00.960 But President Trump may be a different animal entirely.

00:19:05.700 He is going after the Federal Reserve with the DOJ, and they filed against the Federal Reserve and said,

00:19:13.880 we're going to start looking into this palace that you're building.

00:19:18.540 Now, let me give you an update on just the palace that they're building.

00:19:21.580 They're like a billion dollars in overruns right now.

00:19:25.700 Now, let me ask you.

00:19:26.780 Now, if you got a loan and you were a billion dollars overrun, do you think the bank would have a problem with that?

00:19:36.980 Do you think the bank might say, you know what?

00:19:39.720 I don't think I'm going to give you another loan because you're a billion dollars in cost overruns.

00:19:44.480 I think the bank would have a problem.

00:19:47.640 This bank doesn't have a problem with it.

00:19:50.640 There's no bank calling them going, hey, what are you doing?

00:19:53.660 The president is the one having to call them and say, what are you doing?

00:19:56.900 Because for some strange reason, this is a private corporation, and you, the taxpayer, are paying for their new palace.

00:20:07.040 That's the best I can describe it.

00:20:08.440 It's a palace, you know, with fountains in the lobby of the chairman.

00:20:11.400 And, oh, it's beautiful.

00:20:12.760 It's beautiful.

00:20:13.700 And the great thing is, is you'll be able to see it when you go into the Federal Reserve.

00:20:19.320 Oh, wait, you don't go into the Federal Reserve.

00:20:21.700 I don't go in.

00:20:22.420 Who goes into the Federal Reserve?

00:20:23.940 Well, the elites are really going to enjoy it.

00:20:28.600 They're going to love it.

00:20:30.600 Billion dollars in cost overruns.

00:20:32.540 The president has a problem with that.

00:20:35.080 He's bringing it up to them and saying, you know, maybe we should look into this legally.

00:20:38.720 Maybe there's some things going on.

00:20:40.720 Oh, no, no, no, no.

00:20:41.440 You can't check the books from Colin Powell.

00:20:44.920 You can't check the books of the Federal Reserve.

00:20:48.900 Hmm.

00:20:49.620 Really?

00:20:50.920 Well, President Trump is going to check the books on the Federal Reserve.

00:20:53.700 Now, I want you to know that that's not really what this is about.

00:20:59.480 Yes, they're a trillion or a billion dollars in cost overruns.

00:21:03.660 Yes, they're out of control.

00:21:04.880 Yes, you can't check their books.

00:21:06.340 But that's not what this is about.

00:21:07.980 What this is about is Donald Trump doesn't think the Federal Reserve, a private corporation with all this secrecy, should be the ones making the decisions on what your interest rate is.

00:21:19.540 Now, I'm going to go a step further and say, I think the free market should decide.

00:21:27.800 Yeah.

00:21:28.500 Yeah.

00:21:30.620 You see, when you take all of the big banks and you put them together and you call them the Federal Reserve, that's what I like to call a monopoly.

00:21:39.840 Not the game, but just as frustrating.

00:21:44.600 The banks have a monopoly.

00:21:46.800 The banks are the ones colluding to decide what are they going to charge you for interest.

00:21:52.540 And by the way, inflation, that's not a bug.

00:21:58.860 That's a feature.

00:22:01.000 Inflation is planned.

00:22:03.440 Now, let me ask you, if I said to you, hey, how much money should your dollar lose every year?

00:22:11.080 How many pennies on every dollar should you lose?

00:22:16.080 Should you lose two, three, five, or eight pennies on every dollar every year?

00:22:25.040 You have it in savings.

00:22:26.680 You're spending it.

00:22:28.040 How much would you like it to go down?

00:22:30.520 Now, I'm a weirdo.

00:22:33.500 So I say, no pennies.

00:22:36.340 It should not lose value.

00:22:38.120 In fact, I'd like it to gain value.

00:22:41.760 But that doesn't happen.

00:22:43.400 Why?

00:22:43.980 Because the Federal Reserve has decided that 2% inflation is the right number.

00:22:49.960 So you should lose two cents.

00:22:53.240 Wait, every year on every dollar?

00:22:55.360 And we're losing much, much, much more than that.

00:22:58.200 I was doing a calculation the other day.

00:23:00.060 I'm charging when we announce that the torch is up for subscription.

00:23:05.700 I'm charging you $9.99.

00:23:07.080 And for the first month that we offer it, it will be inflation-proof for the rest of your life.

00:23:14.920 Okay?

00:23:15.140 As long as you hold your subscription, if you were one of the founding people that came in,

00:23:19.980 I will never raise the price on you.

00:23:21.940 Now, as doing some calculations, $9.99, we're going to call it, no, this is crazy.

00:23:30.040 We're just going to say it's $10 because that's what $9.99 is.

00:23:33.460 But anyway, you put $10 in.

00:23:35.600 That's what I charged when we first put the blaze together.

00:23:39.440 I said, it's $9.99.

00:23:41.200 Do you know how much $9.99 is worth today in 2011 dollars?

00:23:48.780 This will show you how much money your money has lost.

00:23:53.000 How much is $9.99 today if you had 2010, 2011 dollars?

00:24:00.020 That's actually like $6.70.

00:24:06.620 Your dollar has lost over $3.

00:24:11.480 Your $10 bill is now worth about $7.

00:24:16.120 That's how much money you've lost since Obama was in.

00:24:21.440 That's not a bug.

00:24:22.920 That's a feature of the Federal Reserve.

00:24:25.480 And most people don't even know what the Federal Reserve is

00:24:30.000 because you're not taught about it.

00:24:31.780 Not because it's secret.

00:24:33.940 You know, books have been written.

00:24:35.620 Hearings have been held.

00:24:36.920 Transcripts have been preserved.

00:24:38.460 But you don't teach it to anybody because, well, I mean, it's inconvenient.

00:24:43.580 It doesn't exactly flatter power.

00:24:45.600 Actually, if you start looking at it and you realize what it really is,

00:24:50.720 you're like, I don't think I like that at all.

00:24:53.940 No, no, no.

00:24:54.940 It's the Federal Reserve. 0.93

00:24:56.940 They named it the Federal Reserve for dopes like us.

00:25:01.420 So we would always say, well, it's a federal institution.

00:25:04.120 It's part of the government.

00:25:05.360 No, it's not.

00:25:06.260 It's a private corporation.

00:25:09.280 If you had to read one book this year,

00:25:13.080 I would suggest you read a book called The Creature from Jekyll Island.

00:25:18.400 It's by G. Edward Griffin.

00:25:19.840 When I first read this, I didn't know who G. Edward Griffin was.

00:25:25.260 And so I started doing my homework on him because I'm like,

00:25:26.980 I don't want to read this if he's some crackpot.

00:25:29.780 Well, he's not some crackpot.

00:25:32.160 And I actually did an interview with him the last year at Fox.

00:25:35.680 Some people say, G. Glenn Beck had G. Edward Griffin on,

00:25:39.000 and that's why they fired him.

00:25:40.500 They didn't fire me, and it had nothing to do with it or did it.

00:25:43.860 But it is uncomfortable.

00:25:46.800 Nobody wants to talk about this.

00:25:48.680 But what he does in this book, he doesn't start with conspiracy.

00:25:52.660 He begins with history.

00:25:56.920 The banks had been wanting a federal bank forever.

00:26:00.860 They wanted to control the money supply.

00:26:03.020 They wanted to be the ones to print the money and control the money.

00:26:07.040 And I'll get into why here in a minute.

00:26:08.760 But it was a small group of men.

00:26:10.520 And it was senators and bankers and financial architects.

00:26:13.820 And they slipped out under assumed names and got onto a private train

00:26:19.480 and went to a private retreat on a place called Jekyll Island.

00:26:24.280 There was no press, no public record.

00:26:27.280 There were no voters.

00:26:28.680 This was all entirely secret.

00:26:31.540 And they were not drafting a bill to be debated.

00:26:35.540 They were designing a system to be accepted.

00:26:38.760 And what emerged from that island was not a government agency,

00:26:44.980 at least in the normal sense.

00:26:47.360 It was a mechanism.

00:26:48.860 It was a, the reason why it's a creature from Jekyll Island,

00:26:51.740 it's a hybrid.

00:26:52.660 It's a hybrid creature.

00:26:54.180 It's public in its appearance.

00:26:56.620 It's private, unbelievably private, like illegally private in any other business,

00:27:02.440 and completely shielded from all accountability.

00:27:05.640 Tell me another structure like that, besides what?

00:27:11.240 The CIA.

00:27:13.740 Armed with power, power that no free society should ever hand to any unelected body, ever.

00:27:22.320 And the creature is the Federal Reserve.

00:27:24.720 And it's not a department like the U.S. Department of Finance.

00:27:28.940 It's not that.

00:27:30.840 It's regional banks, privately owned by member banks.

00:27:36.600 Remember when they said, oh, you know what?

00:27:38.780 The banks are too big to fail.

00:27:40.720 What does that tell you we should do with the banks?

00:27:43.760 This is what people said in 2008.

00:27:45.440 They're just too big to fail.

00:27:46.880 That would mean, okay, then maybe we don't let them fail.

00:27:51.160 I mean, not in my opinion, but this is what the argument was.

00:27:53.860 We don't let them fail this time.

00:27:56.560 But then what do you do after you save them?

00:28:01.160 Reason and logic would say, I make them smaller, so I'm never in this position again.

00:28:08.700 Right?

00:28:09.220 They didn't.

00:28:10.240 They made them bigger.

00:28:11.360 And yes, governors are appointed, but once they are seated, they have extraordinary independence.

00:28:20.960 And the president can't do anything about it.

00:28:22.980 You know, the president, when he selects a, I'm going to select a new chairman of the Federal Reserve.

00:28:29.320 Do you know where he gets the names?

00:28:31.920 From the Federal Reserve.

00:28:34.360 He can't say, you know what I'm going to put in charge?

00:28:37.140 Rand Paul.

00:28:37.740 He can't do that because they wouldn't allow Rand Paul to ever get near the Federal Reserve.

00:28:43.340 I don't even know if he's even been allowed to walk into the Federal Reserve.

00:28:48.120 So the president can only pick from the people that he wants.

00:28:52.220 You know what that is?

00:28:53.560 That's the Soviet Union and the way they used to run elections.

00:28:56.940 That's the way Putin runs elections today.

00:28:59.980 That's the way they run elections in Iran.

00:29:02.760 The people can choose just from these pre-approved people.

00:29:09.320 Okay?

00:29:09.620 And the consequences are not abstract to you.

00:29:13.340 They have the power, the only ones that have the power to create money out of nothing.

00:29:20.320 They can just type it in with a keystroke and we're printing more money.

00:29:24.880 It sets the interest rates, which decide what you can do.

00:29:30.580 Can you open a business?

00:29:31.760 Can you afford a home?

00:29:33.540 Are your savings, remember, because of interest rates and because of inflation, are your savings rewarded or are you punished?

00:29:42.880 If I've been saving money since 2010, look how much money.

00:29:49.440 I had $100,000 in.

00:29:51.240 It's now worth $67,000 because it's lost money.

00:29:58.540 It's lost the value of it.

00:30:00.360 It still says I have all that money, but it's actually only worth about $67,000.

00:30:07.260 What are you doing?

00:30:08.520 Why would we do this?

00:30:09.620 Why would we allow this institution to do this to us?

00:30:12.880 They are privately stealing from us and telling us it's for your own good and your own safety.

00:30:19.220 It also decides liquidity, a word that nobody really pays attention to.

00:30:24.680 What liquidity means is do the banks have enough money?

00:30:28.480 Do we need to print some more money so the banks have more money?

00:30:31.420 Because the banks, if liquidity dries up, then you can't get a loan.

00:30:36.140 Uh-huh.

00:30:37.760 So we got to print more money, which will cost us more.

00:30:42.580 And then because that's a really, really bad idea, usually printing money the way we've been doing it, it's going to cost me on top of it because then you're going to have to raise my interest rates to unbelievable levels to be able to suck all that money back in.

00:30:56.840 Who is, who is, who is, who thinks this is a good idea?

00:31:01.580 By the way, this is not regulation.

00:31:03.740 This is command.

00:31:05.660 They have command and control.

00:31:11.420 So what is this really all about?

00:31:15.040 What is the president really doing and what is the Fed really doing?

00:31:21.040 I want to try to explain just with this argument on the Fed.

00:31:24.320 I'll explain what they're arguing about here in a second.

00:31:27.020 And then I want to show you what the Fed really is and how this is a really brilliant master move, master stroke of genius if you are trying to control the world.

00:31:40.360 Remember, progressives, the word progressive, what does that mean?

00:31:47.460 It means we make progress little by little, right?

00:31:50.480 We're making progress.

00:31:52.640 Progressivism is progress a little bit at a time.

00:31:57.040 Why a little bit at a time?

00:31:58.240 Why don't we just go for it?

00:31:59.460 Why don't we just make these changes?

00:32:01.180 Why wouldn't progressives state what their goal is and then make those changes?

00:32:05.960 Because they know you don't want what they're selling.

00:32:11.580 In the early 1900s, progressivism is just translated, if I may, slow communists.

00:32:21.340 They didn't want the riots in the street.

00:32:24.140 They didn't want the bloodshed.

00:32:25.480 They don't want the banks overthrown and the economy.

00:32:28.680 They'll just do it slowly by taking a little bit more power and a little bit more of your stuff every day.

00:32:38.140 You're listening to the best of Glenn Beck.

00:32:40.240 Need a little more?

00:32:44.660 Monday, January 12th.

00:32:46.200 By the way, Stu has the week off.

00:32:48.760 God, this guy never worked.

00:32:50.420 You know what it is.

00:32:51.380 The Eagles had a very bad weekend, and I'm going to be honest with you.

00:32:57.800 Stu got involved in some rioting in Philadelphia.

00:33:00.640 He's in jail.

00:33:01.480 We'll bail him out.

00:33:02.100 Don't worry about it.

00:33:02.940 But he'll be back next week.

00:33:05.300 And he is, for those of you who have been paying attention, he is starting his own business,

00:33:10.360 and he's going to be leaving us shortly. 0.94

00:33:13.280 Traitor. 0.92

00:33:14.020 And just couldn't get the job done. 0.98

00:33:16.840 You know what I mean?

00:33:17.420 Is it done yet?

00:33:18.360 Is the job done?

00:33:19.000 No.

00:33:19.580 We saved America?

00:33:20.740 No.

00:33:20.940 I quit.

00:33:22.520 Anyway, we have a really nice send-off for him.

00:33:28.060 At some point, we're going to do some nice things.

00:33:31.300 Because, I mean, he's one of my best friends, and we've worked together for 27 years.

00:33:36.580 It's really weird.

00:33:38.560 It's weird.

00:33:39.020 Like, the marriage gone bad.

00:33:40.200 Except we like each other still.

00:33:42.720 I think we might even like each other more when we're away than we do at this time.

00:33:46.760 We really like each other.

00:33:47.800 I mean, Tanya may have some competition. 0.99

00:33:51.000 I'm just saying.

00:33:51.660 Tanya and Lisa.

00:33:52.760 Okay.

00:33:53.640 Let me tell you about the Federal Reserve and what's going on.

00:33:57.940 Now, Trump and Powell are going back and forth.

00:34:01.060 Powell came out with this extraordinary statement last night where he said, you know, the president

00:34:07.160 is going after us.

00:34:08.320 And I'll tell you what really is happening here.

00:34:10.180 He just wants control of the interest rates.

00:34:12.320 And I was listening to it, and I thought, you know, who are you?

00:34:15.000 You unelected bank guy.

00:34:19.740 Who gave you the power?

00:34:21.080 Well, I know who gave you the power.

00:34:22.360 The Senate did, and the Congress did, and the president did under Woodrow Wilson in 1913.

00:34:26.340 But the people didn't.

00:34:28.020 I would much rather have an elected official or people that would answer to me.

00:34:33.180 But think about the Federal Reserve.

00:34:34.620 They don't answer to anyone but themselves.

00:34:39.380 Okay?

00:34:40.260 The president can't fire them.

00:34:42.760 The president has to pick the replacement out of the replacements they suggest.

00:34:48.160 We can't audit their books.

00:34:49.980 We don't know what they're doing.

00:34:51.800 It's completely secret.

00:34:53.340 There is no – the CIA has more oversight, I believe, than the Federal Reserve.

00:35:00.180 And they're not a federal organization.

00:35:05.640 They are not part of the government in the traditional sense.

00:35:10.880 Who in their right mind thinks this is a good idea?

00:35:15.400 Let me show you what the founder's idea was.

00:35:18.100 The founder's idea, like it or not, was that God gives man rights.

00:35:25.320 Before, it was God gave certain people, kings, et cetera, et cetera.

00:35:30.100 God gave rights to those people, and those people had rights over you to tell you exactly what to do, how to live your life, what land you could own, what you had to do with your money, what you had to do with your whole life.

00:35:42.980 They could tell you everything about your life.

00:35:45.720 The founders came along and said, I don't think that's the way it should be.

00:35:50.380 I think God gives the individual rights, so the individual is more powerful or as powerful as any king.

00:35:58.740 And the people can decide what to do with their business, what they can do with their life, who they can marry, how they live, where they live, what house they could buy, what land they could own.

00:36:09.300 Before, all those decisions were made by the king.

00:36:12.480 You couldn't own property.

00:36:14.260 The king or the lord and the lady had to give you that land, or you had to negotiate it.

00:36:19.260 How is a pauper going to do that?

00:36:20.660 How is somebody who's at the bottom of the barrel going to be able to buy land?

00:36:25.000 Couldn't.

00:36:25.800 They couldn't.

00:36:26.980 And everything, including the banks, were controlled by the king.

00:36:29.920 Okay, founders came along and said, that's got to stop, because people are their own sovereign.

00:36:38.240 You're the sovereign over your own life.

00:36:40.800 And governments, says in the Declaration of Independence, are instituted among men to protect those rights.

00:36:47.140 So, the first thing is, all men are created equal, endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights, and governments are instituted among men to protect those rights.

00:36:56.100 So, the first thing that government comes into is the people saying, I need somebody to be a guardian over my rights, over my property, over, you know, business.

00:37:05.940 If I'm in business and somebody's being unfair, I need somebody to come in and go, hey, hey, hey, these are the rules.

00:37:12.520 You're wrong.

00:37:13.260 You're right.

00:37:13.920 But these are the rules.

00:37:14.980 And if you guys don't like the rules, you guys can change the rules.

00:37:19.160 I'm just here as a referee.

00:37:21.160 Okay, that's the government's role.

00:37:24.020 Is that their role now?

00:37:25.620 Now, we did that for a while.

00:37:28.040 Then, around the turn of the century, progressives came into the play.

00:37:32.400 Progressives, like I said earlier, are just slow communists.

00:37:37.560 And that's not a cute turn of phrase.

00:37:39.720 That is really what they are.

00:37:41.120 They believed in a collective power.

00:37:46.200 They believed in the elites.

00:37:47.800 So, it became fascism or communism.

00:37:50.280 But progressives didn't want to have the bloodshed in the streets.

00:37:54.000 And so, they thought they could just build it piece by piece because they knew it would take a revolution to do it.

00:37:59.860 And they had to separate you from the Bill of Rights, the Constitution, and the Declaration of Independence.

00:38:05.980 Woodrow Wilson hated the Declaration of Independence.

00:38:09.300 Ask any real progressive and they'll tell you that the Declaration of Independence plays no role in anything anymore.

00:38:15.080 It's an old dusty document for a different time.

00:38:17.340 I'm here to tell you it's a document that is for this time, the future, and the past.

00:38:24.420 It's who we are.

00:38:25.660 It's our mission statement.

00:38:27.520 So, we developed when we said all men are created equal.

00:38:31.040 Governments need to be instituted to protect those rights.

00:38:33.240 We came up with a government that checked on itself.

00:38:35.660 We had Congress, the President, and the court system.

00:38:38.480 And they all ran checks and balances.

00:38:41.120 Even in Congress, the purse strings, the only one that can start spending your money is Congress.

00:38:48.560 So, your congressmen, you have to vote them in every two years.

00:38:52.980 Why?

00:38:53.560 Doesn't that seem ridiculous?

00:38:54.760 Every two years you have to go vote for your congressmen? 0.50

00:38:57.780 No.

00:38:58.320 The founders knew.

00:38:59.360 They controlled the spending.

00:39:01.880 And so, if you didn't like what they were spending, if they were raising taxes and spending too much,

00:39:06.540 you could vote them out every two years.

00:39:09.340 So, they didn't have this long control.

00:39:12.120 They were given the keys to the purse, to the safe.

00:39:17.260 They don't anymore.

00:39:19.880 You know, we haven't had a budget since 2008.

00:39:23.140 Progressives finally got rid of the whole budget process.

00:39:26.380 So, it doesn't matter who starts it because all they do is they just add on to what they've already had.

00:39:32.560 Are we going to expand this?

00:39:33.340 Are we going to track this?

00:39:34.040 And they can move the money.

00:39:36.040 Okay?

00:39:36.540 So, you've lost that control over your money.

00:39:40.320 Also, the Senate was set up to be able to check, be the check and the balance on the federal government versus the state government.

00:39:50.000 Remember, states are more important than the federal government.

00:39:53.820 That's what they believed at the founding era.

00:39:55.440 But we need the federal government to settle arguments, just to play a referee, and to also, if there's a war, wage war.

00:40:03.620 Okay?

00:40:03.860 So, we were so afraid that the federal government would get out of control and there would be a big, deep state that the founder said, all of the senators are voted on by the state houses.

00:40:21.740 So, you could send a senator, but the state house would vote on that.

00:40:27.760 They did that because they felt that the senator would be loyal to the state if it became an election than other states.

00:40:37.480 Think of this.

00:40:38.020 Why do you care about Chuck Schumer?

00:40:39.200 You care about Chuck Schumer because he affects you because his loyalty is no longer to New York.

00:40:46.900 It's to the federal government.

00:40:48.820 They work for all of us instead of their state.

00:40:52.280 That's not the way it was set up, and that's part of the problem.

00:40:55.180 Then, the president, the president didn't have enough control because they, remember, progressives wanted bean counters.

00:41:02.560 They wanted somebody that could control everything that wasn't necessarily elected.

00:41:06.620 They were just the best in their job.

00:41:08.840 And so, let's get these experts in to do an administrative state.

00:41:12.600 And so, they grew the administrative state, the deep state.

00:41:16.480 They grew all of these administrative arms, the department of this, the department of that, that you don't even know who runs those things.

00:41:25.600 If you have to deal with one of those, go ahead.

00:41:28.700 Deal with the Bureau of Land Management.

00:41:30.980 Go ahead.

00:41:32.520 Deal with the Department of Labor.

00:41:34.740 Who do you vote out?

00:41:36.080 You don't agree with what they're doing.

00:41:37.460 Who do you vote out?

00:41:39.620 You can't.

00:41:40.460 They're not responsive to you at all.

00:41:43.920 They're barely responsive to the president because they're trying to get rid of the president being able to fire any of those people.

00:41:50.540 So, they are completely unelected and now approaching unfireable.

00:41:57.500 Then, you have the courts.

00:41:59.940 And around 1920, the progressives, again, decided they need to make case law and not constitutional law.

00:42:07.300 So, stop looking at the Constitution and reading it the way the founders wanted it.

00:42:12.340 Read it case law.

00:42:13.180 If we could get one case to say this, then it builds on that, and then suddenly the Constitution doesn't matter anymore.

00:42:19.340 So, they completely rotted all of the ideas that governments are instituted among men to protect those rights that you have.

00:42:29.800 They rotted all of that.

00:42:31.300 So, you don't really have a constitutional government the way we, and we haven't for a hundred years, the way our founders envisioned it.

00:42:38.740 Then, between 1910 and 1920, all of those things happened.

00:42:44.860 Congress changed.

00:42:46.060 The Senate changed.

00:42:48.160 The administrative state under Woodrow Wilson.

00:42:51.060 Case law.

00:42:52.000 All of it happened between 1910 and 1920.

00:42:54.400 But they needed one other thing, because if you can control two things, health and money, you control people completely.

00:43:06.020 So, they took over your money.

00:43:08.040 And this was voted on over and over and over again, and the American people kept saying no.

00:43:12.700 And so, they all got together, all these bankers and these senators got together and went to Jekyll Island for a week, and they put together this whole idea of the Federal Reserve and named it the Federal Reserve so people would think that it's part of the federal government.

00:43:27.820 It passed.

00:43:28.920 It became a constitutional amendment.

00:43:31.200 And what does it do?

00:43:32.840 It controls everything.

00:43:35.460 It controls your inflation.

00:43:36.900 It controls the boom and the bust period.

00:43:39.240 It controls everything.

00:43:40.640 Basically, it controls you.

00:43:43.200 It takes us from a country that says, you can do anything to, you can do anything if the federal government says it's okay, and if the bank says it's okay.

00:43:58.500 Before, you could do anything.

00:44:00.560 And the government just played referee.

00:44:03.920 Now, the banks and the federal government pick and choose winners.

00:44:08.540 Well, no, you need a license.

00:44:09.680 You can't just go out and do something.

00:44:10.900 You need a license for that.

00:44:12.320 Why do I need a license for that?

00:44:14.240 I mean, some things I think I need a license for.

00:44:17.580 Haircut, cutting people's hair.

00:44:19.760 I mean, in the era of straight razors, maybe, maybe.

00:44:23.540 That's not happening anymore.

00:44:24.820 Why do I need that?

00:44:26.600 I need a license for, why?

00:44:28.800 Why?

00:44:29.180 So, the state can not just make their money, but the state also has control.

00:44:35.060 They also tell you who you can, you know, how you spend your money, how much money you have, how much money is that worth?

00:44:45.140 What will the bank allow?

00:44:46.980 And so, we see this, and we see this corrupt system, and we're like, oh, those rich people.

00:44:51.560 You're targeting the wrong rich people.

00:44:54.180 For instance, California is now targeting billionaires.

00:44:57.740 Oh, the billionaires.

00:44:58.820 We've got to tax the billionaires.

00:45:00.660 They're just going to move.

00:45:02.200 That's all that's going to happen.

00:45:03.260 They have enough money.

00:45:03.880 They're going to move.

00:45:04.360 They'll move their corporation.

00:45:05.660 They'll move everything out of California.

00:45:06.800 They'll move someplace else.

00:45:07.820 And if Texas decides to do that, they'll do.

00:45:09.900 Did you learn anything from France?

00:45:12.540 This is what France did. 0.91

00:45:13.560 All the billionaires moved.

00:45:16.840 Tax the billionaires.

00:45:18.380 What does taxing the billionaires actually do?

00:45:20.940 What do high taxes actually do? 0.99

00:45:23.100 Take it away from you and give the power to the state.

00:45:26.400 Na, na, na, na.
