The Glenn Beck Program - Best of The Program ｜ Guest： John Cooper ｜ 5⧸25⧸21

00:00:00.060 Welcome to the podcast. Today we get into Israel and all of the anti-Semitism going around the country.

00:00:05.980 Apparently a former Bernie Sanders advisor is letting you know that you shouldn't be denouncing anti-Semitism.

00:00:11.720 That's a bad idea. We'll get into that today.

00:00:14.200 We'll talk a little bit about cryptocurrency, the regulations coming down from the government potentially.

00:00:19.840 How far have we come in such a short time?

00:00:23.040 It's amazing to look back at just a few years ago and we go through some examples of how far

00:00:27.700 this country has moved in an incredibly tight time.

00:00:32.300 We'll get into that as well.

00:00:33.360 And the lead singer of Skillet, John L. Cooper, comes on.

00:00:36.980 Skillet, if you don't know, is one of the biggest selling Christian rock bands of all time.

00:00:40.980 They are huge.

00:00:42.620 And the lead singer has always been an outspoken guy, but has lately been even more outspoken.

00:00:47.520 He's changed the way he's approached the world and his story is pretty amazing.

00:00:52.880 We'll get into that as well today.

00:01:20.280 Here's the podcast.

00:01:20.740 You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck program.

00:01:34.800 I'm just going to put you on alert.

00:01:37.280 This is not high alert.

00:01:39.160 This is DEFCON 2.

00:01:42.080 Your head may explode by the end of the program today.

00:01:44.680 I'm just saying there may be need of duct tape to wrap your head just so I mean, it's 0.75

00:01:49.980 not going to stop your head from exploding, but you'll at least have all the pieces when

00:01:53.480 you when you make it to the when you make it to the well, I mean, hopefully you can make

00:01:59.900 it into the hospital, but you have to have a mask.

00:02:02.660 So duct tape a mask also to your face.

00:02:05.440 Welcome to Pat Gray.

00:02:06.800 Welcome.

00:02:07.440 How are you, sir?

00:02:08.280 Good.

00:02:08.920 And you, my friend.

00:02:10.920 Oh, oh, my God.

00:02:12.620 Yeah, I have to ask you as a as a as a cancer survivor, Pat, because you had some stuff

00:02:21.220 removed from your face.

00:02:22.320 Right.

00:02:23.120 And were they precancerous or cancer?

00:02:25.260 No, it's cancer.

00:02:26.580 OK, so I just got a call from the doctor's office yesterday and I've got to have like

00:02:34.160 my skin peeled off tomorrow and then they've got to take a chunk out of my forehead and

00:02:39.940 they were like, it's no big deal.

00:02:41.140 But then, huh?

00:02:42.540 Wow.

00:02:43.360 I mean, that doesn't sound pleasant.

00:02:45.560 Right.

00:02:46.400 And and they I'm I'm actually more afraid of the process than I am the cancer.

00:02:54.240 You know, like, you know, it sounds like fun.

00:02:58.280 Sure.

00:02:58.580 Yeah.

00:02:59.840 But I am not.

00:03:01.580 I'm not quite sure that this is.

00:03:04.000 So I'm going to look like Frankenstein.

00:03:05.320 You know, so.

00:03:07.500 Well, that's something to look forward to, isn't it?

00:03:10.040 I was already hot enough.

00:03:12.180 I mean, how do you how do you improve this look with a skin peel all the skin?

00:03:16.640 Yeah, skin, take all the skin off of him and then and then just cut a big chunk of his

00:03:22.800 forehead out. 0.91

00:03:23.660 It's going to be beautiful.

00:03:24.760 It's going to be hot. 0.99

00:03:26.060 Slap a couple of bolts to the side of my head and women will go nuts. 1.00

00:03:29.780 You're going to be irresistible. 1.00

00:03:33.820 All right.

00:03:34.900 Let's let's talk a little bit about let's do a smorgasbord here first.

00:03:40.160 May I just mention I just like to hear your opinion of Beto running for governor of Texas

00:03:45.380 odds that he could pull that off.

00:03:49.080 He did really well, but I think I think people maybe wised up to who he is by now.

00:03:54.940 Yeah.

00:03:55.160 So I think the odds are somewhat low.

00:03:57.540 Well, yeah, the fascination seems to be done with Beto.

00:04:00.160 Yeah, I think it is even even even against Greg Abbott because Greg Abbott is I mean,

00:04:06.580 he's lost a lot of love and I think some of it unjustified some of it justified the reaction

00:04:13.140 to it was a little intense.

00:04:14.540 I thought I mean people went from loving him to hating him overnight.

00:04:18.540 Just like Christy.

00:04:19.400 No, yeah, they all like everyone.

00:04:20.720 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, one decision. 0.99

00:04:22.840 She's the worst person in the world. 0.99

00:04:24.300 We're literally a little psychopathic. 1.00

00:04:26.500 I would say at this point. 0.95

00:04:27.540 It's understandable maybe after the last year, but we are all a little psychopathic.

00:04:31.840 May I just say I had a late night encounter with Christina a couple weeks ago?

00:04:35.720 I don't know.

00:04:36.480 I don't think.

00:04:37.700 Well, it wasn't late night.

00:04:38.960 It was for the early bird special.

00:04:40.280 It was like nine o'clock and we flew someplace together.

00:04:43.020 Oh, but interesting conversation with her.

00:04:47.240 I really like her.

00:04:48.420 I think she's the real deal.

00:04:49.740 I think she's the real deal.

00:04:50.900 Yeah.

00:04:51.060 I'd like to see her run for president. 1.00

00:04:52.340 I, you know, the thing that she did in South Dakota that conservatives were so pissed off

00:04:57.920 about was not that big a deal.

00:04:59.600 I didn't think, you know, she wasn't saying it.

00:05:04.460 I mean, it was, she just wanted to tweet.

00:05:06.500 It was a women's sports thing, right? 0.94

00:05:07.700 Yeah.

00:05:08.040 And she wanted the law tweaked. 0.76

00:05:09.520 It wasn't, it wasn't like I'm, I'm for transgendered people running in all these races and, and

00:05:15.980 being in women's sports. 0.87

00:05:17.120 That's not what she was really saying.

00:05:19.420 What about pretty boy Hollywood running for a Texas governor?

00:05:24.420 Uh, Matthew McConaughey.

00:05:26.160 Yeah.

00:05:26.680 I thought you were going to say Chad Prather.

00:05:27.960 I was going to say, I don't know that that's what I would say about Chad, but because he's

00:05:32.340 running too.

00:05:32.860 He's, uh, he is running.

00:05:34.140 He's serious about it.

00:05:35.380 He really is serious about it.

00:05:36.760 I've asked him this question 10 different times in 10 different ways.

00:05:39.520 And he tells me he is serious about it.

00:05:41.660 He's met with actual advice.

00:05:43.300 He's like, I guess they don't have a exploratory committee.

00:05:47.100 Uh, it's not part of the process here, but he's done the equivalent, I guess, of that.

00:05:51.440 Uh, so, and look, he's got a lot of big fans and, and, you know, I mean, certainly got a

00:05:57.580 Texas vibe to him.

00:05:58.680 Certainly.

00:05:59.400 Yeah.

00:05:59.820 So you could, I mean, so you got Abbott in there, you know, there's a couple of other

00:06:03.280 people, another guy, uh, from around here, uh, Congressman is, you have fines is, uh,

00:06:08.160 is running for governor as well.

00:06:09.620 Yeah.

00:06:09.920 Yeah.

00:06:10.040 Yeah.

00:06:10.180 The car guy.

00:06:11.020 Yeah.

00:06:11.540 Mm.

00:06:12.020 Mm.

00:06:12.120 Mm.

00:06:12.220 Uh, so.

00:06:13.220 The car guy who has an identical twin brother and.

00:06:16.060 Yeah.

00:06:16.360 His brother is identical.

00:06:18.000 You're like, what, which one are you?

00:06:21.840 Yeah.

00:06:22.020 The brother is a car guy.

00:06:22.880 I mean, I've run into them several times.

00:06:24.540 Yeah.

00:06:24.960 One of them is a congressman and the other one is the car guy.

00:06:27.540 And then Matthew McConaughey, maybe, I guess, maybe running.

00:06:32.380 I think Matthew McConaughey, that's a problem, but could win.

00:06:36.240 Yeah.

00:06:36.420 I think he could much different than Beto, much better chance than Beto.

00:06:39.480 Now, look, you know, someone like McConaughey could get into a race and completely implode 0.91

00:06:44.960 in a weekend.

00:06:45.500 I mean, he says the one wrong thing about guns and it's over.

00:06:49.840 Right.

00:06:50.420 Um, but Beto is, is, I think a known quantity at this point and, uh, people don't like what

00:06:56.320 they know, I think that's safe to say.

00:06:59.060 Yeah.

00:06:59.380 Uh, let me, uh, let me, uh, let me go here.

00:07:01.660 Um, Cuomo might advise McConaughey.

00:07:04.480 I mean, I think we can't get, we can't get Cuomo's brother to do it, but maybe we could

00:07:09.080 get, uh, governor Cuomo to, uh, to do it.

00:07:11.620 Did you see what Cuomo said about, I get advice from journalists all the time.

00:07:16.260 I mean, I, I call journalists for their opinion on how to handle things all the time.

00:07:20.840 You do.

00:07:21.800 And they take the call.

00:07:24.560 Unbelievable.

00:07:26.320 I mean, that's incredible.

00:07:28.280 And CNN fires Rick Santorum for like a mildly, poorly crafted.

00:07:34.620 Yeah.

00:07:35.220 Nothing.

00:07:35.960 Right.

00:07:36.260 In a speech that wasn't even on CNN.

00:07:38.580 Yet they had this host who has been involved in what?

00:07:41.660 A dozen controversies in the last year.

00:07:44.000 None of which he's been punished for at all.

00:07:46.500 It's incredible. 0.97

00:07:47.980 It is incredible how hypocritical they are right now. 0.91

00:07:52.000 I, I mean, CNN's always been left wing, but we worked there. 0.93

00:07:54.780 There, there, there was a time in which they would have taken the Cuomo thing seriously.

00:07:58.700 Uh, it's a long, long gone.

00:07:59.980 Yeah, I think so.

00:08:00.980 I mean, when we were there, they hated us, openly hated us, but at least the management

00:08:07.260 was like, well, we got to try something.

00:08:10.420 A lot of good people that were fighting for us too.

00:08:12.740 And they're, you know, it's totally different there now.

00:08:16.240 Spicy.

00:08:16.620 I mean, the, the way they're, it's a complete and utter disgrace how they've handled this

00:08:20.560 Chris Cuomo.

00:08:21.040 Did you hear why they, why they fired Santorum?

00:08:24.740 Well, I mean, I just saw the, the, the comment he made at the speech.

00:08:28.060 Yeah.

00:08:28.680 Yeah.

00:08:29.080 It's really not even about the comment because he apologized for it.

00:08:32.120 It's not even about that.

00:08:32.940 They said we fired them because no show, uh, no shows, producer or host wanted to book

00:08:39.980 him anymore.

00:08:42.280 Hmm.

00:08:43.240 So they're letting the shows, the leftists, uh, decide, uh, you know, who's going to be

00:08:49.320 on and who's not, which, you know, I support to some degree, but in the news, not on shows

00:08:56.180 in the news, you're not even going to get the opinion from an analyst, uh, like Rick Santorum.

00:09:02.820 I mean, it's, it's crazy what they're doing really.

00:09:06.360 I mean, almost as obvious.

00:09:08.500 Is it becoming everything much more obvious?

00:09:12.460 Oh, I think so.

00:09:13.400 Yeah.

00:09:14.460 Yeah.

00:09:15.320 Do you think just to us?

00:09:17.040 Uh, it seems like it because nobody's doing much about it.

00:09:21.600 Of course, I don't know what you're going to do.

00:09:23.020 You know, in this current environment, if you say anything, that's not glowingly positive

00:09:30.540 about any minority or protected group, you're just done.

00:09:35.400 It's you're canceled.

00:09:37.700 And you know, that's, it's also starting to backfire on the leftists.

00:09:41.460 So they should be taking note of it because they're starting to eat their own as well.

00:09:46.460 Mark Ruff, Mark Ruffalo.

00:09:47.840 Do you, do you hear what we just said earlier on Mark Ruffalo?

00:09:50.360 No.

00:09:50.760 What happened to Mark Ruffalo?

00:09:51.780 Well, you know, he is, I mean, he's as far left as you can go.

00:09:55.360 Oh yeah. 0.99

00:09:55.600 He's insane. 0.91

00:09:56.640 And he, uh, he tweeted, Hey, uh, upon reflection and really thinking, uh, it's wrong of me to 0.95

00:10:04.720 say that Israel was committing genocide.

00:10:06.860 They're not.

00:10:07.720 That only is hyperbole and it's leading to danger, uh, not only in the middle East, but

00:10:13.060 here on our own streets.

00:10:14.220 And that's, that's gotta stop.

00:10:16.240 And he was pummeled, pummeled for it online.

00:10:21.100 Jeez.

00:10:21.580 But he was right.

00:10:22.860 Oh, absolutely right.

00:10:24.920 Absolutely.

00:10:25.920 And so he, he can't say that, but the 17,000 tweets about Hitler being right, those are 0.99

00:10:32.060 all okay.

00:10:33.000 Those are okay.

00:10:33.780 That's fine.

00:10:34.260 Uh, Louis Farrakhan is okay.

00:10:36.140 You know, Rick Santorum, we got to get him out of here.

00:10:39.960 Yes.

00:10:40.360 But, but Louis Farrakhan and everybody who says Hitler was right that, you know, I have, 1.00

00:10:45.400 Hey, it's a matter of opinion.

00:10:47.200 No, it's really not.

00:10:48.520 It's really not.

00:10:50.640 I mean, I don't want, I, I would like to know.

00:10:52.960 I'm glad they don't cancel them because I'd like to see if my neighbor is tweeting Hitler 1.00

00:10:57.820 was right.

00:10:58.840 Cause at least I'll know.

00:11:00.020 Then you'll know who they are.

00:11:01.260 Yeah, exactly right.

00:11:03.000 Exactly right.

00:11:03.800 One more thing.

00:11:04.500 I don't know.

00:11:05.440 And, and Pat, perhaps you can help me on this.

00:11:08.180 Um, first of all, we should mention that the media is stunned.

00:11:13.640 Uh, apparently they're finding some new, uh, some new theory, uh, that, uh, the Wuhan

00:11:20.040 virus might've come out of this lab.

00:11:22.800 What?

00:11:24.320 Yeah.

00:11:24.760 I won't hear conspiracy theories like that.

00:11:28.440 Right?

00:11:29.100 Well, no, no, no.

00:11:30.000 That's when, no.

00:11:31.260 That's when Donald Trump talked about it.

00:11:34.000 It was a conspiracy theory, but now they're talking about it.

00:11:38.780 And so it's not a conspiracy.

00:11:40.540 All of a sudden now it's following the science.

00:11:43.700 Right?

00:11:44.300 Yeah, exactly right.

00:11:46.020 Yeah.

00:11:46.800 Exactly right.

00:11:48.240 Uh, boy, there's another tip for you on, uh, are you on the right side or not?

00:11:52.180 You're really on the side that's pursuing truth or not.

00:11:55.620 Um, the, uh, the other thing is I I'm, I'm trying to find the, uh,

00:12:01.260 uh, the CDC advice for those who have had COVID on what they should do.

00:12:08.920 I've gotten the CDC notice that you're, what is it, Stu, two or three times more likely

00:12:13.520 to have a bad reaction to it if you've had COVID.

00:12:16.940 Mm-hmm.

00:12:17.780 To, to the vaccine.

00:12:19.060 Yeah.

00:12:19.240 Yeah.

00:12:19.400 To the vaccine.

00:12:20.280 Mm-hmm.

00:12:20.560 And a bad reaction is, is we're just talking about side effects.

00:12:23.560 Yeah.

00:12:23.620 The side, the 24 hour sort of like flu like symptoms, nothing, nothing lasting.

00:12:28.260 It's important to know.

00:12:29.260 Well, if you don't think falling out of an airplane at 40,000 feet is, uh, you know, a

00:12:34.380 lasting side effect, I think that's what, that's not on part of the CDC.

00:12:39.780 I don't know.

00:12:40.240 Because I can't, I can never, I can not, I can't figure out what you're supposed to do

00:12:44.500 because they warn against it, but then they don't say, uh, you shouldn't take it or say,

00:12:50.020 Hey, you know what?

00:12:51.080 You've had it.

00:12:52.000 So you will have the antibodies for a while.

00:12:55.440 And when we start to see the people who were sick, get sick again, you'll know.

00:13:02.140 Yeah.

00:13:02.660 They haven't really done it.

00:13:03.380 I think I, and I've complained about this on the air a bunch of times being a COVID-19

00:13:08.440 survivor as I am Glenn, um, back in September, late September, early October, I may have to

00:13:15.620 go into therapy with AOC.

00:13:17.160 Yeah.

00:13:17.380 I don't, please don't keep re-traumatizing me.

00:13:19.920 But we were always talking about how it was, you know, it was such a debate about whether

00:13:23.220 the economy should open up and all these things.

00:13:25.160 And it's like, you had millions of people who had natural immunity that could have been,

00:13:30.900 I hate to say the word, but exploited, right?

00:13:33.540 Like we all could have been back shopping and doing everything indoors and everything

00:13:37.920 that had been open.

00:13:39.000 And people, they were just like, well, uh, we can't, we can't come out and advocate for

00:13:43.540 that because you know what?

00:13:45.080 They don't have a 20 year study that proves how long natural immunity lasts.

00:13:48.960 There are definitely, you know, every single piece of evidence seems to indicate that the

00:13:54.440 response is more consistent from the vaccine as you'd expect, right?

00:13:57.380 Like I had a really mild case.

00:13:58.680 I was asymptomatic.

00:13:59.900 I don't know what my immune response would be, but it does seem to be that you're protected

00:14:03.920 for at least some level.

00:14:06.000 Bad case.

00:14:06.860 It hit me hard for two or three weeks.

00:14:09.440 It hit me really hard.

00:14:11.280 Uh, and, uh, really, I don't, I don't get a special pass.

00:14:15.260 Uh, nobody, nobody gives advice on that one.

00:14:17.860 It's just odd because everything I've ever heard about any kind of virus, they always talk

00:14:25.240 about the antibodies in your body able to be resistant for at least a little while.

00:14:30.400 Yeah.

00:14:31.060 We have nothing on this one from the CDC.

00:14:34.160 There's still very few cases of people who got it in, let's say, March of 2020 that have

00:14:40.060 become sick, especially with big symptoms.

00:14:42.880 Again, um, they, the, the immune response they've studied and they do see the, the, their

00:14:47.760 current, this current study seemed to indicate if you had COVID getting one shot, not two is

00:14:53.760 probably the bright thing to do again.

00:14:56.020 And, you know, you can make your own judgment on that, but they're just talking scientifically

00:15:00.100 the best immune response.

00:15:01.820 I think the CDC is suggesting that Kexi cookies, uh, protect a lot of people. 0.89

00:15:07.260 You are shameless? 0.69

00:15:08.800 Am I not? 1.00

00:15:09.480 You are shameless. 0.99

00:15:10.320 Wait, right? 0.97

00:15:10.800 But the next thing you're going to do is you're going to, you're going to spell Kexi cookies

00:15:14.120 in the webinar.

00:15:15.280 K-E-K-S-I dot com.

00:15:16.720 Now, I don't know if that's going to protect you from any disease, but it's going to taste

00:15:20.340 delicious.

00:15:21.000 Wait, hold on.

00:15:21.460 So I just have to type in K-E-K-S-I dot com.

00:15:26.000 So wait, all I have to do is send you a bill for $20,000 and then you just pay that so

00:15:34.120 you can say Kexi dot com.

00:15:36.680 Or alternatively, you could bring over some peanut butter drizzles.

00:15:39.580 I mean, that's another option.

00:15:40.540 That's a possibility too.

00:15:42.540 Yeah.

00:15:42.860 Or the birthday cake with sprinkles.

00:15:45.880 Or the salted caramel, which is absolutely my favorite.

00:15:48.340 Which is unbelievable.

00:15:49.640 Yeah, that one's unbelievable.

00:15:50.260 Okay, stop it.

00:15:51.180 You're up to $40,000 now.

00:15:54.320 The best of the Glenn Beck program.

00:16:01.380 Spring is finally here.

00:16:03.460 I know, Minnesota.

00:16:04.600 Keep it down.

00:16:05.300 We know.

00:16:05.940 Not until August for you.

00:16:07.440 But for the rest of the country, spring is starting to come.

00:16:10.300 And I don't know about you, but I love to grill outdoors.

00:16:14.260 It's so easy now because of rec tech.

00:16:17.000 There's something about being outdoors in the spring that goes well with a rec tech.

00:16:21.600 Imagine that big, juicy steak or that delicious hamburger.

00:16:24.820 Maybe a big old slab of ribs slathered in barbecue sauce that's slowly smoking to absolute perfection.

00:16:31.300 Oh my gosh, my mouth is watering.

00:16:33.220 Rec tech does it all.

00:16:34.900 Smoking, grilling, baking.

00:16:36.500 I have one made of stainless steel.

00:16:39.020 It's built like a tank and has smart grill technology, which means I don't burn anything anymore.

00:16:44.140 And every time you can control the whole process from an app on your phone or your device, you're going to love rec tech.

00:16:51.120 Follow rec tech on all social media.

00:16:52.820 Sign up for their newsletter and then go to rec tech with a Q dot com.

00:16:59.940 You won't believe the difference.

00:17:01.340 There is a ton going on that you need to be aware of.

00:17:04.040 And we're going to give you some action points here.

00:17:06.340 If you are awake to the truth that we and our lifestyle in the West is under attack and it is everywhere.

00:17:17.900 Last weekend, I held a class, about 300 people at the American Journey of Experience and spent two days with them and taught American history and just the facts with all the original documents, et cetera, et cetera.

00:17:33.900 And we got towards the end and we had a discussion.

00:17:38.340 And I think the number one question was, what do we do in our churches?

00:17:43.340 Because many of our churches have been infiltrated.

00:17:47.100 Well, to talk about that is John Cooper.

00:17:49.580 He came out this weekend and he was he he made quite a splash.

00:17:54.520 He is warning that critical race theory and woke ideology is sparking a civil war in our American churches.

00:18:01.980 He's the author of the new book, Awake and Alive to Truth.

00:18:05.420 John, how are you?

00:18:07.020 Good.

00:18:07.720 How's it going today?

00:18:09.260 Very good.

00:18:10.040 Just so people know, in case you're you're you've not heard of skillet, two time Grammy Award nominated, 12 times platinum inducted to Pandora's Billionaire Club after two billion streams.

00:18:23.160 Monster is one of the most streamed rock songs of all time, with two hundred and eighty five million global audio streams.

00:18:32.540 Why are you writing a book now?

00:18:36.780 Well, see, when you read those statistics, it makes me sound really big.

00:18:41.080 But I always tell people skillet is the biggest selling band that you have never heard of.

00:18:47.480 I don't know.

00:18:48.980 We've always been under the radar and we've always kind of done our own thing.

00:18:52.700 And I started speaking out about this kind of stuff a couple of years ago, frankly, because of what you just said before I came on.

00:18:59.660 It's that feeling of, OK, what do I do now?

00:19:03.200 And there's that feeling of if I don't say something, then who is going to say something?

00:19:08.800 And I just started speaking out about some of these things.

00:19:12.500 I see it coming to the church.

00:19:14.380 And when I started noticing it about 2012 and 13, I was trying to figure out what in the world was happening.

00:19:22.720 And I just I had to read about 200 books and including a Glenn Beck book in there that I read.

00:19:30.180 And I just kept going down the rabbit hole.

00:19:33.640 And then about 2016, I read about critical race theory and critical race theory did not open my eyes.

00:19:42.100 Critical race theory explained what I already saw.

00:19:45.780 And I say we need to we need to be careful of this in the church.

00:19:50.560 It's destructive.

00:19:52.040 It's it's Marxist.

00:19:53.780 It has it's a completely separate worldview in Christianity and how in the world these Christian leaders are combining the two.

00:20:02.680 It's it's impossible, John.

00:20:06.000 It's impossible.

00:20:06.560 You can't have the liberation theology or not the traditional Catholic sense of social justice, but the perversion of what is now social justice or critical race theory.

00:20:20.580 It all says there is no salvation for the individual.

00:20:26.060 It's Antichrist.

00:20:28.300 It's Antichrist.

00:20:29.840 You're absolutely right.

00:20:31.580 And I've been on a mission to try to tell all of my my brothers and sisters out there, you know, I've been on a mission to say, look, you have to understand when you if you have a bunch of different religions, everybody instinctively knows that religions are going to use the same words.

00:20:48.140 As you just said, social justice.

00:20:49.500 There's a good one.

00:20:50.760 The Catholic movement has been great over over the centuries at social justice.

00:20:55.820 But that word means something different within Catholicism, and it means something completely different within the Ibram Kendi type stuff.

00:21:05.300 And actually, Ibram Kendi is a great example.

00:21:07.780 His definition of racism is not the traditional definition.

00:21:11.460 So all these definitions have their own meaning within their own religion.

00:21:15.900 And I've just been trying to point out to people, really great writers like John McWhorter, Shelby Steele have been noticing that the social justice movement is a religion.

00:21:27.620 It has its own definitions, its own tenets, its own high priests and priestesses with Ibram Kendi and Robin DiAngelo and whatnot.

00:21:35.120 It is not Christian. 1.00

00:21:36.720 And so to go to that false religion and take its definitions and its tenets and then bring it into Christianity and then ascribe the words of Christ to that kind of social justice, that would be heretical if you did it with any other religion.

00:21:54.260 It would be a heresy.

00:21:55.660 You know, I really believe we will—our churches are headed for a civil war, as you said.

00:22:01.480 And I think we could lose up to 50% of our churches and congregations.

00:22:07.440 I think it's going to get tougher and tougher.

00:22:10.480 And those who understand what critical theory, not just critical race theory, anything that starts with critical theory, is Marxist in nature.

00:22:23.500 And honestly, it's not that it's not Christian.

00:22:28.100 It's pagan. 0.99

00:22:29.860 It's evil. 0.62

00:22:31.020 What they teach is evil.

00:22:33.140 There is no redemption.

00:22:35.540 And you must worship other gods.

00:22:38.560 And it's really dangerous.

00:22:40.920 But I think that we're going to lose about half of the people because people will say, I'm against racism.

00:22:46.300 What's wrong with being anti-racist?

00:22:49.340 Yes, yes.

00:22:50.300 I think, well, you know, there is a danger of this.

00:22:52.940 And I'm hopeful that if we get more people raising the alarm to talk about what the definitions are, and as you just mentioned, and I'll say it in a little bit of a different way, but you and I are saying the same thing, that critical race theory, critical theory, secular social justice, it is not good news.

00:23:11.680 So the gospel of Jesus Christ is good news.

00:23:15.860 The other one is not good news.

00:23:18.020 There is no redemption for you.

00:23:19.660 But whereas in Christianity, it's great news. 1.00

00:23:23.000 And if we could explain to people in churches, that is not actually the gospel.

00:23:28.980 And it's not good news.

00:23:29.560 It doesn't save you.

00:23:30.580 It can't redeem you.

00:23:31.440 It can't give you a brand new heart.

00:23:33.060 And I'm hopeful that if we can raise that alarm, we will get more and more people on our side.

00:23:38.920 But right now, we are seeing some really hateful things.

00:23:41.400 I don't know if you saw the – did you see that Christian prayer book that came out that has the entry where a woman is praying that God, God, please help me to hate white people?

00:23:51.120 Have you seen that one?

00:23:51.660 Oh, my gosh.

00:23:52.320 No, I have not.

00:23:53.800 Yeah, go check it out.

00:23:55.100 I believe the book is called Rhythms of Prayer.

00:23:57.740 I believe it's a Christian book put together by a white author, and it's got a whole bunch of different people contributing.

00:24:04.020 And there's a whole chapter of prayer, Help Me to Hate White People. 0.99

00:24:08.720 And she explains – she's definitive by saying that it is a lament in a similar way that David would have lamented in the Psalms.

00:24:17.000 And so as she's describing it, you're realizing this is exactly what critical race theory and liberation theology does.

00:24:25.160 The more that people see this kind of hate, the more they will say, wait a minute – in fact, I heard of it from two of my black friends that were enraged.

00:24:35.120 They're like, John, have you seen this?

00:24:37.080 This is hateful.

00:24:38.180 This is not – this is not what the gospel is about.

00:24:41.200 I don't think that people like it, but it is being pushed, and so we should fight against it.

00:24:45.520 Well, when you're – I mean, John, when you are now coming out and saying Martin Luther King was wrong, everything Martin Luther King said in his speeches and his etiquette and everything else that he did, his rules for justice, those all came from the scriptures.

00:25:05.440 So if you are now saying that Martin Luther King was wrong, he based all of it many times word for word on the words of Christ.

00:25:13.700 Yeah, you know, you just touched on something interesting that I've never said on an interview because people probably get really mad at me.

00:25:21.140 But have you noticed that, as you just said, that now you have the new left are saying the same things about Martin Luther King that –

00:25:31.700 That the Klan used to.

00:25:33.280 Yes.

00:25:34.320 Yes. 0.99

00:25:35.320 I'm like, you guys sound like the old white racists.

00:25:38.200 I thought we revered Martin Luther King, and now all of the left is – you know, it's changing so rapidly.

00:25:46.020 And honestly, that's the reason that I did write this book.

00:25:48.820 The book is called Awaken Alive to Truth, and I've got to tell people, you can only get it on my website.

00:25:54.400 So go to johnlcooper.com.

00:25:58.300 How come you can only get it on your – you couldn't find a publisher?

00:26:02.080 I did not find a publisher.

00:26:04.380 Can you believe that?

00:26:05.020 Did you talk to – did you talk to Stacey Abrams?

00:26:07.880 She doesn't seem to have a problem getting her book published.

00:26:10.820 No, no, I should have.

00:26:12.340 I should have.

00:26:13.020 And now we're at a place where – even in the Christian publishing world, they would much rather publish Ibram Kendi than a Christian book on theology.

00:26:21.160 So that's why I wrote the book on the book.

00:26:22.320 Answer the question, John, on what do people do.

00:26:27.300 If you see this in your church – I mean, I don't recommend that you leave your church.

00:26:33.520 You've got to try to save your congregation.

00:26:37.200 But if it just – if it's just too far gone, then maybe you have to consider that.

00:26:41.440 But what do you say?

00:26:42.380 How do you start?

00:26:43.580 And let's start here.

00:26:45.140 What are the warning signs for anybody who doesn't know?

00:26:48.040 What are you hearing from the pulpit that you're like, wait a minute?

00:26:52.560 Right, right, right.

00:26:53.900 Well, if I answer them backwards, I just want to say this.

00:26:57.580 I agree with you.

00:26:58.300 I don't think you get up and leave your church.

00:27:00.460 I believe in relationship and loyalty.

00:27:03.220 But you need to raise holy heck. 0.96

00:27:05.400 That's what you've got to do.

00:27:07.100 The warning signs, once you start to notice – it's all in the language.

00:27:12.280 And I know that you've talked about this before, but I think Ben Shapiro calls it the vocabulary, which I thought was a great way to say it.

00:27:18.840 And they start using these certain words.

00:27:22.280 It's the words that should trigger you to, okay, wait a minute.

00:27:26.620 They're using this language.

00:27:28.120 I wonder if they're using it in the same way that Ibram Kendi's using it when they talk about equity.

00:27:33.860 If your pastor starts talking about equity and inclusion, you ought to get a little bit nervous.

00:27:40.540 And that's not because the Bible does it.

00:27:42.740 The Bible does talk about equity, but the Bible means it in a different way than Ibram Kendi means it.

00:27:48.380 So when they start talking about those kind of things or if they start having – I've been reading about this, and a lot of pastors, they're beginning to have safe spaces in churches for people of color because people of color don't feel safe around white people.

00:28:03.740 So they have, like, these safe spaces.

00:28:06.160 You start seeing that stuff pop up in your church under the guise of love.

00:28:10.080 Gosh, wouldn't you – if you're a pastor, John, if you're a pastor and your black attendees don't feel comfortable, don't you say, sit in the front seat right next to me, and I'm going to address this. 0.87

00:28:24.920 Anybody who has a problem with black members of this church, the door is behind you. 0.70

00:28:32.180 I mean, you separate and segregate? 0.96

00:28:37.040 That is so bass-ackwards.

00:28:40.000 It really is.

00:28:41.880 We're entering a time when we're going back to segregation under the guise of love, and it's really bizarre.

00:28:51.380 And again, it's the opposite of good news, because the good news is the Bible has the most beautiful remedy for any sort of enmity between ethnic groups, between male and female, between rich and poor. 0.80

00:29:05.100 It's all in Jesus Christ.

00:29:06.780 That's what the Bible says.

00:29:07.980 There is no rich.

00:29:09.100 There is no poor.

00:29:10.000 There's no male or female.

00:29:11.260 There's no Jew or Gentile. 0.99

00:29:13.320 Now, we are all one in Christ Jesus.

00:29:16.100 That is a covenant made by God Himself that is supernatural, is unbreakable.

00:29:21.740 That's the best remedy there is.

00:29:23.460 So it's very anti-Christ, as you said.

00:29:27.040 So if people start seeing those kind of warning signs, I would raise absolute heck up in that place, just like parents should be raising heck at their schools when they find out they're teaching this stuff at their schools.

00:29:41.300 You don't have to be academic.

00:29:42.500 You don't have to be smart. 0.89

00:29:44.200 You don't have to be a theologian to notice this kind of nonsense and heresy.

00:29:50.640 John, I appreciate your work.

00:29:53.000 I'd love to have you on for a podcast.

00:29:54.660 You're fascinating.

00:29:56.520 Thank you so much for all of the hard work and the study that you did just as a citizen and then trying to wake people up.

00:30:02.960 I really appreciate it.

00:30:04.140 Thank you for your risk.

00:30:06.780 Thank you.

00:30:07.120 Well, thank you so much, Glenn.

00:30:08.460 I appreciate it.

00:30:09.700 You bet.

00:30:09.960 John L. Cooper dot com is where you can get the book and find out more.

00:30:14.340 John L. Cooper dot com.

00:30:16.060 You can follow him on Twitter at John L. Cooper.

00:30:20.380 Lead vocalist of skillet.

00:30:22.780 You have to say it that way.

00:30:23.620 Thanks.

00:30:23.840 You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck program.

00:30:30.080 I want to talk to you, Stu, about cryptocurrency here for just a second, because I don't know what to think.

00:30:45.200 You know, if you if you if you put money in cryptocurrency, if you put it in early, everything is gravy for you.

00:30:53.880 But it's gone down like twenty five thousand dollars a coin recently.

00:30:58.740 And there seems to be, you know, the miners had to pull out of China because there was a crackdown on Bitcoin from the miners.

00:31:09.700 At the same time, Elon Musk talked about how these miners were mining for Bitcoin and cost so much in electricity.

00:31:18.600 Well, who where do you get the electricity for your electric cars, you boob? 1.00

00:31:22.980 Sometimes he's brilliant, but sometimes his environmentalism makes no sense whatsoever.

00:31:28.140 And about 50 percent, you know, Bitcoin has a 50 percent better profile than the electricity fueling the cars that he's selling when it comes to renewable resources.

00:31:38.640 I mean, I don't think he yeah, I don't think this is something that he well, I think this was something else, whether he was pressured, whether I just don't think that he's too smart to believe that it's been debunked like a thousand times.

00:31:55.540 This is not even a controversial issue when it comes to cryptocurrency anymore.

00:31:59.380 I think one of the issues is, unfortunately, again, people forget Elon Musk is not a conservative.

00:32:05.620 He's not a guy who doesn't want to take money from the government.

00:32:08.140 Right. He gets these credits that he needs to qualify for.

00:32:11.640 And the theory is, you know, and this is just speculation that he needs to maintain his, you know, his the his relationship with the government and the profile of Tesla as this super green.

00:32:25.000 Correct.

00:32:25.320 They don't get these credits. Now, I don't know. I mean, there's probably some truth to that.

00:32:29.280 I think, though, he is a real sort of crazy environmentalist person like that is he is at his core.

00:32:35.840 I'm I'm I'm wondering if Amazon had anything to do with his decision.

00:32:41.540 You know what I mean? Because what's his face?

00:32:45.340 Bezos runs Amazon. Bezos.

00:32:47.080 You know, Bezos came out last week.

00:32:48.860 Did you see this where he was like, hey, it's not fair.

00:32:51.660 The government's given everything to Elon.

00:32:53.920 We've got stuff over here, too. 1.00

00:32:57.060 Shut up. 0.99

00:32:57.840 I got an idea for you. 1.00

00:32:59.120 Maybe the government shouldn't be giving anything to any of you people.

00:33:02.280 Anybody. Yeah.

00:33:03.280 Yeah. I mean, you know, fairness.

00:33:05.900 You're talking to me, Amazon.

00:33:07.460 You're talking about fairness.

00:33:09.380 First of all, this is what Elon Musk has done.

00:33:12.120 I mean, this is the he was the leader in this.

00:33:15.580 You were busy building clouds.

00:33:17.800 You were busy making sure the Pentagon was putting all their stuff on your servers.

00:33:23.720 You were a little busy with the grocery store thing.

00:33:26.680 And you've made a tidy little sum during covid. 1.00

00:33:29.600 So shut up. 1.00

00:33:30.540 And I have no problem with Amazon. 0.99

00:33:32.680 I think they provide a great, great services.

00:33:34.980 And, you know, I mean, I have problems with them.

00:33:36.600 But like, yeah, generally speaking, as an overall picture, I like what they've done.

00:33:40.920 And I don't know.

00:33:41.820 I don't know how we would have gotten through covid without ordering from Amazon, frankly.

00:33:45.060 I don't think we would have.

00:33:47.260 I think without Amazon and without Netflix, honestly, I mean this sincerely, Amazon Prime, Netflix.

00:33:57.220 Can you imagine America sitting through daytime television and commercials for a year?

00:34:03.180 Not a chance.

00:34:04.700 We'd all be very engaged in what was happening in the soap operas and DoorDash.

00:34:08.960 I mean, there's no way there's no way if we didn't have those things, we would.

00:34:14.040 And that's part of the problem.

00:34:15.660 It was a drug for us.

00:34:17.120 We're fine.

00:34:18.040 Made it a lot easier.

00:34:19.180 That's for sure.

00:34:20.000 On a lot of people, even though it was a very hard time.

00:34:22.560 I mean, I don't know what you would have done without these companies.

00:34:24.460 It's funny.

00:34:24.780 We were just talking about what happens to these giant parking lots as they as they start to empty out and people don't come back to work.

00:34:32.180 They don't, you know, maybe 100 percent of the people were at work before.

00:34:35.720 They sent home 80 percent of people and maybe only 20 or 30 percent come back.

00:34:39.620 And so there is a lot more work at home types.

00:34:42.220 What happens?

00:34:42.860 Let's let's not.

00:34:43.560 But let's not.

00:34:44.480 I think that's a bad idea, Stu.

00:34:46.300 Remember, I own about 100,000 square feet.

00:34:48.740 No, I know.

00:34:49.160 Office space. 1.00

00:34:49.880 Shut up. 1.00

00:34:50.660 Well, I've noticed. 0.99

00:34:51.180 I think it's better if everybody comes back to work.

00:34:53.580 However, I've noticed around this area that one of the things they're doing with these giant empty parking lots is staging Amazon trucks.

00:35:02.080 Amazon must have some deal. 0.74

00:35:03.740 They're renting this space and Amazon's just coming in and just staging giant rows of trucks, loading them up, shipping them out.

00:35:12.540 And even in our parking lot.

00:35:13.760 Yeah.

00:35:14.260 I've seen it here.

00:35:14.860 Even in our parking lot.

00:35:15.560 Yeah.

00:35:16.180 I mean, that's the use, I guess, of all this commercial real estate and all these.

00:35:19.440 I mean, look, I think the American economy, if allowed to to figure it out through the markets, will come up with solutions to this.

00:35:27.740 I mean, we've seen this at, you know, giant malls who were once filled with department store after department store.

00:35:32.360 Right.

00:35:32.500 Now are filled with like, you know, activity centers for kids and trampoline parks and all like people.

00:35:38.360 The usually the market finds ways to make these things work over time.

00:35:42.600 But there is a this happened.

00:35:44.960 This was not gradual.

00:35:46.420 Right.

00:35:46.860 Like we just turned it off.

00:35:49.440 If we're a year.

00:35:51.200 So a year and a half ago, we'd never heard of Zoom a year and a half ago.

00:35:54.980 We hadn't heard of Zoom.

00:35:56.180 Yeah.

00:35:56.400 Now I would have said Skype.

00:35:57.860 Right.

00:35:58.220 But I mean, you've heard me too.

00:35:59.380 Or FaceTime.

00:36:00.080 You've heard of video calling services.

00:36:01.360 But Zoom, I don't think I ever heard of before.

00:36:03.460 Nope.

00:36:04.080 Before how they became.

00:36:05.280 I think they might have done it.

00:36:06.540 I think they're from Wuhan.

00:36:07.660 If there's one company that may have gone into Wuhan and changed the genetic code of that virus.

00:36:13.740 It's Zoom.

00:36:14.980 It's Zoom.

00:36:15.520 Well, Home Depot, Zoom.

00:36:17.460 I would say Netflix.

00:36:19.880 Also, Amazon had a big role in it.

00:36:23.320 Hell of a quarter.

00:36:23.900 Sherwin-Williams might have even had a minor role.

00:36:29.820 You're avoiding my question on cryptocurrency.

00:36:33.320 Okay.

00:36:33.440 I'm sorry.

00:36:33.740 What happened in China, China said they began a crackdown on all cryptocurrencies, not just

00:36:40.160 Bitcoin.

00:36:40.960 And they say, you know, this is really going to cause some really problem in the social

00:36:46.920 field.

00:36:47.800 At the same time, Elon Musk came out and said, you know, it's really a problem because of 0.98

00:36:53.440 the environmental impact, which is garbage.

00:36:57.820 And then you had Janet Yellen come out and say, you know, we might think about a 50% tax 0.59

00:37:04.280 on cryptocurrency.

00:37:06.040 And, you know, it is an awfully dangerous thing because no one can track anything that's going

00:37:11.880 on.

00:37:12.360 We have no idea.

00:37:13.940 So we're, we're beefing up the IRS to make sure we go after these people.

00:37:19.160 Yeah.

00:37:19.260 You got halfway through that.

00:37:20.180 And I thought, is he playing a Janet Yellen audio clip?

00:37:22.780 And no, that was your impersonation.

00:37:24.900 I mean, it's identical to Janet Yellen.

00:37:27.800 Right.

00:37:28.240 So what, what is going to happen to cryptocurrency?

00:37:32.120 Well, because yeah, China's already didn't unveiling theirs.

00:37:35.600 What's called the DUSD, the digital US dollar is right around the corner.

00:37:40.680 I think within a couple of years, what's going to happen?

00:37:44.180 Well, look, China has done this several times.

00:37:46.580 They seem to have these, these crackdowns here and there and everywhere.

00:37:50.320 And the miners generally continue to stay there.

00:37:53.780 And there's, there's talk in the cryptocurrency community that a lot of this is bluster from

00:37:59.060 the Chinese.

00:37:59.580 We'll see.

00:38:00.200 I think like from the American perspective, look at the hack that happened to, to the pipeline.

00:38:07.700 You know, they, they're looking for reasons to crack down on things like Bitcoin.

00:38:13.680 Why?

00:38:14.180 It takes all of the power away from them.

00:38:17.260 Right.

00:38:17.820 It's a massive switch in the power center of currency worldwide from governments.

00:38:26.260 Oh, it takes all the power away.

00:38:27.080 Right.

00:38:27.380 To a decentralized source.

00:38:28.880 So they really don't like it.

00:38:30.480 Now there's, there's two things here.

00:38:32.540 And with a digital currency, with a digital currency run by the government, they have all

00:38:36.640 the power.

00:38:37.060 Right.

00:38:37.360 So you don't want that.

00:38:38.100 I mean, you don't want that.

00:38:38.460 Just because it says cryptocurrency and they say it's American or Venezuelan cryptocurrency

00:38:42.500 doesn't just mean you want it.

00:38:43.600 You want it to be decentralized.

00:38:45.500 They can shut you down.

00:38:47.040 They can make sure you're buying certain goods and not others.

00:38:50.120 I mean, it's not good.

00:38:51.800 But if you look at, I look at like the risk of crypto when it comes to American regulation,

00:38:57.120 you have on one side, a lot of really rich, really powerful, really connected people who

00:39:02.940 are involved in it right now.

00:39:04.260 They're already into it.

00:39:05.560 They love it.

00:39:06.380 This is not something that is, you know, just libertarian, libertarians and conservatives

00:39:11.180 who don't like the government anymore.

00:39:12.860 Goldman Sachs.

00:39:13.520 I mean, on the week that crypto or Bitcoin dropped from, what, 50 to 30, 38 or something,

00:39:20.200 that's when Goldman Sachs came out and said it is a new asset class.

00:39:28.180 That's a pretty big deal.

00:39:29.880 Yeah.

00:39:30.040 They're saying it's basically digital gold.

00:39:32.100 There's tons.

00:39:32.560 And that's Goldman Sachs.

00:39:33.980 That's not some fly by night, you know, bank.

00:39:37.440 Right.

00:39:38.080 And there are there's just tons of money flowing in from real institutional investors

00:39:41.840 and really wealthy people who have made billions and billions of dollars off this stuff who

00:39:46.120 are going to fight as hard as they can to make sure it doesn't go away.

00:39:49.000 Will there be regulations?

00:39:50.420 I think the Biden administration is outwardly negative on cryptocurrency.

00:39:57.020 And, you know, they're there.

00:39:58.620 They want control.

00:39:59.460 Oh, any $10,000 transfer needs to be reported to the government.

00:40:02.880 And all of these sorts of things can hurt crypto's growth.

00:40:08.720 Even if they ban it, it's not, quote unquote, going away.

00:40:11.800 But it will take a lot of people out of the market, people who just don't want to deal with

00:40:15.620 the government or any problems with the government.

00:40:17.820 But I do think that, you know, there's still a really bright future for this stuff.

00:40:22.700 That does not mean in a year it's going to be up.

00:40:25.420 You know, I don't know.

00:40:26.280 Well, I come from we come from an era.

00:40:28.140 Glenn, we were talking on this show about cryptocurrency and telling you, hey, you should put a little

00:40:32.160 money in Bitcoin back when it was like two hundred dollars.

00:40:35.220 So, you know, it's hard for me to get comfortable with the idea that thirty five thousand is a

00:40:40.140 buyer's market.

00:40:41.380 It doesn't feel like that.

00:40:42.640 Well, you don't have to buy it so long.

00:40:44.760 You buy two hundred dollars of it still.

00:40:46.800 Yeah.

00:40:46.980 I'm just saying that the levels, right?

00:40:48.440 I mean, it's all you do not have to buy a full Bitcoin.

00:40:51.320 But there's a lot.

00:40:52.120 You know, look, there's a lot of I mean, Ethereum is really interesting.

00:40:54.540 I think there's a lot of growth potential there.

00:40:56.460 And they just it just went down dramatically as well.

00:40:59.300 Yeah.

00:40:59.500 That was at forty five hundred.

00:41:00.940 I think, you know, I think I mean, I don't want to, you know, I don't want to say anything

00:41:06.620 that sounds like a conspiracy theory.

00:41:09.220 But I think what I heard Stu say is it's the queen.

00:41:13.400 She saw the value of Bitcoin.

00:41:16.080 She wanted in.

00:41:16.840 She didn't buy it early.

00:41:17.700 So she's been calling all of her favors in from all over the all over the country,

00:41:22.080 all over the world.

00:41:23.080 The queen of she is affecting the England.

00:41:26.100 Oh, queen of England.

00:41:27.140 Yeah.

00:41:27.620 And she is she's manipulating the market of Bitcoin. 1.00

00:41:31.260 And I thank you for that analysis.

00:41:32.820 You know, you just look at the queen and you just say that looks like a crypto gal. 0.95

00:41:37.020 You know, she just just has that. 0.99

00:41:39.000 Well, she's no, she wasn't an early adopter, but she's on it.

00:41:42.440 She's on it now.

00:41:43.760 No, no, no, no.
