Well, Nancy Pelosi has finally decided to call for a vote for impeachment that happened yesterday.
00:00:06.660
What's the exciting adventure on Capitol Hill today?
00:00:10.600
We'll talk to you about what is going to happen over the next few weeks and the procedures on today's podcast.
00:00:22.620
And Blaze TV's John Miller is on the program to discuss the Virginia governor declaring a weapons ban ahead of a gun rights rally on Martin Luther King Day.
00:00:34.620
And then we took phone calls from Virginians who are really upset.
00:00:40.380
This is a state that is on the edge and it's not all about guns.
00:00:47.260
And the people we spoke to, the citizens of Virginia, are actually really upset as well with all of the Republicans.
00:00:56.500
Not those just in office, but those Republicans who didn't vote because this is a hostile takeover of a state.
00:01:08.800
If I was looking for an arson, I would look no further than Governor Blackface of Virginia.
00:01:31.120
I'm pouring the accelerant on an already tense situation in Virginia on Monday.
00:01:39.860
It's Martin Luther King Day and the cities around Virginia, the people who have attended all these city council meetings,
00:01:48.080
and the city councilmen that have been there have all decided that they wanted to go to Virginia on Monday
00:01:54.000
and protest what the House and the Senate, the local House and Senate for the governor, what they're doing with guns.
00:02:08.540
And Antifa has stated that they were going to come.
00:02:13.380
Okay, so they start throwing in, we're going to be there, we're going to cause trouble.
00:02:26.960
There's no guns allowed on any of the government grounds on Monday.
00:02:37.880
So he's disenfranchising all of the outlying areas, all of the towns that aren't run by the Democrats,
00:02:50.520
Are there going to be white supremacists that show up?
00:02:55.100
But that's not what this group is that has been showing up in city council meetings.
00:03:04.300
And by the way, most white supremacists are Nazis, and Nazis are socialists.
00:03:15.300
And then you have the constitutionalists, which no one wants to address.
00:03:31.080
Let me spend a few minutes today to tell you what happened yesterday, what Nancy Pelosi,
00:03:36.520
the game that Nancy Pelosi was playing and how it fits into history, and what happens today at noon Eastern time.
00:03:44.320
Yesterday, Nancy Pelosi, after stalling how many weeks, Stu?
00:03:52.040
After stalling three weeks, she finally decides that she's going to call for a vote for the delivery of the articles of impeachment.
00:04:00.900
Now, she came out yesterday, and she said, well, this is really, this, you know, I got a lot of heat.
00:04:12.540
The reason why I waited, because I knew new evidence was going to come out, and it was going to change things.
00:04:21.720
Because when they finally voted, it came down the same way it did last time.
00:04:30.740
There was one Democrat that voted with the Republicans, a Democrat from Minnesota, and then there was the independent, what's his name, Justin Amash, that voted for the articles to be delivered.
00:04:50.560
Nobody changed their mind with this new evidence.
00:04:55.140
More importantly, it was going against Nancy Pelosi.
00:04:59.040
But there's a historic reason why she waited, and I'll explain it in just a second.
00:05:05.960
She did Adam Schiff, you know, head of the House Intelligence, and he was the one who really did all of the investigation.
00:05:13.240
Then you have Jerry Nadler, who drafted the articles.
00:05:17.800
And what this is, what she announced yesterday, they're called the House Managers.
00:05:22.100
But what they really are is this is the defense team.
00:05:25.640
This is the Johnny Cochran and Alan Dershowitz in the House.
00:05:32.760
These are the ones that are going to make the case.
00:05:38.160
And so you need a bunch of attorneys, if you will, and prosecutors that know how to, are comfortable in a courtroom setting.
00:05:47.540
So she also put Zoe Lofgren in from California, and this is her third impeachment.
00:06:04.040
The person that shows up and two days later there's a terrorist attack.
00:06:07.860
I'm not really sure, really, that they really even understand what's going on when they say this is her third impeachment.
00:06:28.380
And that also tells me that she's been in Congress too long.
00:06:33.080
Then you have these two, Adam Schiff and Jerry Nadler, were givens.
00:06:44.460
Then Nancy Pelosi could pick from anybody else in Congress.
00:06:48.780
So she takes Hakeem Jeffries, who's the head of the Democratic Caucus.
00:07:04.700
And so you would say, oh, well, she's really...
00:07:07.220
She's probably going to be, you know, really good because she's a police chief and she knows the courtroom and she's comfortable with all this kind of stuff.
00:07:15.040
She was actually selected, I believe, because she's the one that the Democrats are pushing to be the vice presidential candidate.
00:07:21.980
And so I think they want to give her stage space.
00:07:28.120
However, stage space is interesting because there's a recent poll out of Democrats.
00:07:40.800
No, was the most popular answer by an overwhelming number.
00:07:46.840
Remember, this is not printing with the American people.
00:08:07.920
So if you look at this, you have Hakeem Jeffries, Val Demings, Jason Crow, and Sylvia Garcia.
00:08:20.280
She picked this because the last impeachment was 13 white guys.
00:08:28.940
So she's got all kinds of Americans from all kinds of...
00:08:34.100
That's all they were going for was a diverse look.
00:08:44.360
Then they marched over around 5 o'clock last night and said, you know, rap, rap, rapping on your door, Senate,
00:08:51.680
to be able to tell you that we are going to tomorrow deliver the articles of impeachment.
00:09:02.900
Last night, in what is called the engrossment ceremony, I love that, the engrossment ceremony, Nancy Pelosi finally signed the papers.
00:09:13.340
They went from the House to the old House chamber to the rotunda.
00:09:28.720
The trial is something unlike you've ever seen before.
00:09:36.720
If you missed the last one with Clinton, you'd have to go...
00:09:42.160
You'd have to be really old because the last one after that was in the 1860s and President Johnson.
00:10:01.500
And isn't that what we're saying about this one?
00:10:03.860
You have to remember, this is a political process.
00:10:08.380
Now, Johnson was one of our worst presidents ever.
00:10:10.760
He took over as the vice president because Lincoln was running on unity.
00:10:29.060
And he was the only Southern senator when his state seceded that he didn't resign his office.
00:10:38.500
So he was the only senator to sit and remain from the South.
00:10:54.700
Now, when Lincoln put him in, the only time he ever really appeared,
00:10:59.320
he is a Democrat running on a unity party with Abraham Lincoln,
00:11:05.920
who's going to now try to knit the fabric back together after the Civil War.
00:11:12.840
Hey, look, it's Republicans and Democrats and Northerners and Southerners coming together.
00:11:17.220
Well, he gives this horrible rambling speech before President Lincoln gives his second inaugural address.
00:11:24.180
And it's completely the opposite of what Lincoln was going to say.
00:11:29.160
That's his malice toward none and charity toward all.
00:11:43.140
The history books will tell you that he secluded himself for the next six weeks.
00:11:55.560
And so he was, it was, he was ridiculed for what he did.
00:12:04.240
And now you have this president who really nobody wanted as president of the United States,
00:12:13.540
When the Southerners come back together and, uh, and they start to knit the union back together,
00:12:26.300
Um, the Southern states, they, they are encouraged to have new elections and have them all open.
00:12:34.380
Many of the Southern states return the same old white leaders.
00:12:38.300
Uh, and when they did in their towns and in their, their, you know, counties and townships and, and state,
00:12:46.120
they passed black codes, which deprived black people of, uh, their, their civil liberties.
00:12:55.240
And so they were starting the same thing again.
00:12:58.200
Johnson did not want any protection for blacks.
00:13:02.240
The Republicans in Congress said, uh, no, that's no, no.
00:13:06.920
And so the Republicans passed bills to get it done.
00:13:14.520
Johnson, Johnson, the, the democratic president.
00:13:17.880
Now he's saying, no, he tries to stop all of it.
00:13:25.840
And he is trying to frustrate anything that Lincoln was trying to do and frustrate anything that would actually protect black people.
00:13:37.600
I would say it was moral too, um, that the Republicans put him on trial and tried to impeach him because he was going against what the civil war was supposed to solve.
00:13:55.560
Now you would think that that would be pretty easy with through today's eyes.
00:14:04.660
He only, he only, they were only short one vote.
00:14:38.460
And you're listening to the Glenn Beck program.
00:14:40.440
If you like what you're hearing on this show, make sure you check out Pat Gray Unleashed.
00:14:44.880
It's available wherever you download your favorite podcasts.
00:14:48.580
We want to give you a quick update on something.
00:14:50.920
Uh, Jeff Fisher, Jeffy, who's been with me for 20 years.
00:15:02.500
Uh, and, um, he's going to have it removed today, but he, you saw him yesterday and he's good.
00:15:09.340
He had some other issues, pancreas, liver enzymes, but I think it was all being caused by the gallbladder.
00:15:18.700
It is, you know, anybody who doesn't, anybody who knows the human body and doesn't believe in at least intelligent design.
00:15:33.920
And we're trying to, yeah, just, we just put all these things in a box and shook them up.
00:15:41.760
Anyway, uh, welcome to Pat Gray, uh, from Pat Gray Unleashed, the podcast that you can
00:15:46.860
hear and watch on blaze TV, uh, every morning as he records it live, uh, prior to, uh, this
00:15:57.860
Uh, the first thing that's supposed to happen, it was supposed to happen, I guess at noon
00:16:01.580
today, but now I'm hearing that they're, the Senate is going into session here in about
00:16:07.760
They're going to vote on China on the trade bill.
00:16:12.220
Uh, and then, uh, the house comes over and they, the Sergeant of Arms says, you know,
00:16:20.760
warning anybody who talks for the next few weeks, you have to get rid of your cell phone,
00:16:33.900
If you're a Senator, uh, like inside or outside the chamber, inside the chamber.
00:16:43.320
They'll have 24 hours, not consecutive, 24 hours to present their case.
00:16:49.540
And no one can say any of your Senator, you cannot say anything.
00:16:53.540
So after they read the articles of impeachment, then, uh, the house summons, John Roberts, John
00:17:01.860
Roberts is supposed to come over, uh, and he's going to be called as the judge.
00:17:08.280
He's the head of the Supreme court and, uh, and a weasel.
00:17:12.060
And he's going to be called in and he will sit as the judge.
00:17:22.700
They can only ask questions in writing and they pass those to chief justice Roberts, who
00:17:29.500
at the end of the presentation will then ask those questions of the house.
00:17:35.240
My impression of Roberts is role in this though, because he's in a different branch of government.
00:17:55.100
Like a judge has power to clear the courtroom to, uh, say you're out of order.
00:18:03.120
I mean, he is in charge of that, but not the process.
00:18:09.440
And so what happens is once they present their side of the case, then the house is going
00:18:16.980
to say, do we want, or the house is going to say, we want to call new witnesses.
00:18:23.020
Then the Senate can, uh, discuss that it will be behind closed doors and then they will vote.
00:18:34.740
If they vote to open up and have the house call new witnesses, the Senate has said, great.
00:18:43.580
If you don't want it based on the evidence that you've already given us and you want
00:18:49.300
to present new stuff and new witnesses, then we're going to call witnesses too.
00:18:53.800
And so it's a game of bluff because quite honestly, I don't think either side wants this to be opened
00:19:00.560
up all the way, which is tragedy in, as far as I'm concerned.
00:19:04.640
So if they vote to hear witnesses, you will then hear from the whistleblower as well, because
00:19:19.420
I think, uh, four Republicans to vote their way.
00:19:26.060
I mean, it's 51, 49, so they need four Republicans to vote their way.
00:19:30.880
And they think they have that in Romney, Collins, and a couple others.
00:19:37.040
The Republicans will also have it, uh, to be able to get the whistleblower and everybody
00:19:43.400
If it doesn't open up to witnesses, it'll be about two to three weeks.
00:19:48.240
The president, after he is sworn in today, Roberts, he will then swear the Senate in and present
00:19:55.760
them with the rules of the Senate, that they have to shut their mouths for the next couple
00:20:01.740
Then the next thing, the Senate has to dispatch someone to officially alert the president that
00:20:14.980
Remember, we have not had the White House defense attorneys yet.
00:20:18.780
They will get their 24 hours to present their case after the House does.
00:20:25.400
Do you, because you mentioned this a little bit earlier, do you think that the delay reason
00:20:36.980
Uh, here's, here's my view on this and, and I get it just from looking at history.
00:20:43.120
Um, they have, for instance, um, Nixon's impeachment hearings were over like July 27th.
00:20:55.700
Um, and they, they didn't file for the articles of impeachment.
00:21:00.580
What they did was they, they politicked internally and it, and pressure started to build with the
00:21:09.640
Uh, and so on August 5th, the Republicans went to the president said, I think you're going
00:21:20.180
Uh, and he released the final tape, the smoking gun tape where it showed he did know about
00:21:27.220
all of this stuff and he was involved in Watergate, uh, and the coverup.
00:21:31.800
And so once that tape came out, that came out on August 5th and then on August 9th, the pressure
00:21:40.800
So I think what she was trying to do was trying to whip up pressure, get the press to whip up
00:21:47.500
the people and get that to introduce some new things.
00:21:50.760
Look, there's some new things that are going on.
00:21:52.940
So hoping against, against all hope that this president would blink and say, I don't, I don't
00:22:03.840
She was looking for more things to come up because she knows how weak it is, uh, and trying
00:22:11.840
So we have to hear from these new, these new, uh, uh, witnesses.
00:22:17.120
I mean, I definitely, it definitely, you know, reading some of the stuff that's come out the
00:22:20.980
last couple of days and probably the biggest part of this is last night's clearly coordinated
00:22:27.860
interview with Lev Parnas on Rachel Maddow show.
00:22:31.140
Um, you know, it does seem like she was maybe trying to align all of these things to hit all
00:22:37.300
at once so that when this thing starts, there's pressure for the witnesses.
00:22:43.320
So she initially maybe wanted to, um, see if she could get the things she wanted when she
00:22:51.320
This seems to be their almost, almost backup plan, right?
00:22:54.000
Like this is how they're going to push the Republicans into doing what they want, which
00:22:57.460
is all this new evidence and these new interviews and these people coming out saying all these
00:23:06.200
Uh, I mean, I can understand why they thought that might work.
00:23:10.960
I will tell you that it's that unless you have a picture of him with a gun, you know,
00:23:23.540
Um, but the, what, what Senator is going to say who is, who respects the constitution?
00:23:43.380
So this is the fourth time really we've gone through any of this.
00:23:50.660
The worst one was Johnson and he wasn't removed.
00:23:55.900
You're telling me that you're going to remove a sitting president just a few months before
00:24:01.120
the people have their own vote and way to remove a sitting president.
00:24:08.660
Unless, unless it was something smoking guns, you had like literally the picture of him
00:24:13.580
with the gun and there was smoke coming out of it.
00:24:15.600
And even then, yeah, there'd be plenty of people who would still say no.
00:24:19.420
I don't remember this level of, uh, scrutiny during the impeachment of, of Clinton.
00:24:28.200
I mean, scrutiny, this detail, this, we're every describing every minute of, of the process
00:24:41.200
We were doing it like, we, uh, Stu and I were on the air together during it and absolutely
00:24:51.060
All the way to, I remember talking about, I will admit I did not.
00:24:54.080
I remember Red, Renquist being seated and we did a whole, uh, at least one break just
00:25:06.420
How come he has gold braids and nobody else has gold braids and how, and nobody else ever
00:25:14.440
And it, and it, it turns out he didn't, he just wanted them.
00:25:19.360
And it's like, I want something different for my robe.
00:25:29.480
Um, you know, cause we did three variations of the Glenn Beck talk show before it became
00:25:37.920
And so, and you said you weren't following it that close.
00:25:41.500
I mean, there'd be no reason for show for the show really to follow it all.
00:25:50.000
Um, but, uh, one of the iterations of that show was called the impeachment of character
00:25:53.940
and it was basically nonstop impeachment talk, including like going through all of the
00:26:08.680
We had tapes of that cause that would be worth playing again for people.
00:26:12.340
Cause it was, I played all the, I just took it.
00:26:14.440
But the raw testimony, uh, and I acted all of the parts out.
00:26:19.200
You're playing like Linda Tripp and Monica Lewinsky and Kenneth Starr.
00:26:26.140
But you know, there was never a time in which anyone really believed he was going to get
00:26:35.420
I remember being, it was a little, it felt a little bit more uneasy.
00:26:38.480
And I remember one of the big keys of this was Joe Lieberman.
00:26:42.220
And I remember Glenn, who was friendly with Joe Lieberman and he's a Senator from Connecticut
00:26:49.580
And you were very much hoping he would be the one guy who would stand up on the democratic
00:26:58.980
And that would maybe start, uh, momentum for this to really happen to him be removed.
00:27:05.480
You know, Lieberman wound up making a, a pretty, uh, uh, speech that was critical, but wound
00:27:14.200
Because he said character does matter, but it doesn't rise to the level of impeachment.
00:27:18.800
Uh, and, and this one character does matter, but this one's not about character.
00:27:22.680
This is not about him lying, uh, to the American people under oath.
00:27:27.420
It's also not about 11 felonies that he committed like it was with Clinton.
00:27:31.820
Uh, it's about, it's about two things that don't, don't rise to the level of impeachment
00:27:54.560
And if you like what you hear on the program, you should check out Pat Gray unleashed.

John Miller is our white house correspondent at a blaze TV host of the white house brief.
00:28:20.480
He has previously worked for Fox news, the blaze and mercury radio arts, which is my company.
00:28:28.200
He was actually my assistant, uh, for a while and then a producer on my show.
00:28:34.340
Uh, and we welcome to the program, John Miller.
00:28:40.820
Can you tell people who have not really been paying attention to Virginia exactly what is
00:28:46.700
Well, what's happening is very simple and that is that governor blackface Northam is
00:28:52.300
literally just trying to deprive and along with the Virginia legislature, trying to deprive
00:28:59.720
And, you know, just to rewind a bit and go back, you know, obviously because it's at the
00:29:05.640
So basically what happened is you got Northern Virginia, uh, Northern Virginia, if you don't
00:29:10.700
know, Virginia is basically Washington DC, right?
00:29:13.840
You got Northern Virginia, which is all blue because they don't have the electoral college.
00:29:19.620
Northern Virginia determined the state representatives.
00:29:24.620
So Virginia's representation went completely blue.
00:29:27.340
However, the Virginia populace is the remained sane, remained constitutionalists who just want
00:29:34.780
And so now you've got the situation where the legislators are trying to turn the state blue
00:29:39.160
and the citizens of Virginia are literally rising up against it because they are trying
00:29:44.360
to implement a number of anti-gun legislation, such as red flag laws and limits on, on so-called
00:29:51.320
assault rifles, et cetera, et cetera, basically trying to disarm the citizens of Virginia.
00:29:55.940
And so 90 out of 95, and that number is growing, you know, just recently I checked this morning
00:30:01.200
and the, uh, Virginia citizens defense league has, has, has, is keeping track, but a bunch
00:30:05.900
of localities are jumping on by the day, if not by the hour, rising up against us and declaring
00:30:12.060
themselves sanctuaries against these anti-gun anti-self-defense legislation.
00:30:17.640
And so on lobby day, which is on Martin Luther King day on Monday, they have decided to, they,
00:30:23.180
they, they had plans to show up at the Capitol in Richmond and make their voices heard.
00:30:28.080
That was the whole point, make their voices heard.
00:30:30.680
Governor Blackface said, uh, no, I don't think they'll wait until yesterday to, to declare
00:30:36.980
And due to that national emergency, everyone who decided who, who was going to show up to
00:30:41.760
the Capitol now is not able to show up with arms.
00:30:45.260
They're going to have metal detectors and you will not, you will not be allowed on the
00:30:49.380
ground if you are carrying a firearm in self-defense, which is funny because this happened
00:30:55.440
right after Antifa decided to make their presence be known.
00:30:59.080
Antifa said, oh, well, we're going to show up at the rally.
00:31:01.260
Everyone said, uh, I, uh, you know, I, I'm not sure if Antifa is really going to want to
00:31:05.240
show up with tens of thousands, which are the numbers that they're expecting citizens that
00:31:10.300
And so coincidentally, the governor then comes in and says, well, actually, we're not going
00:31:14.260
to allow the citizens to carry at this demonstration.
00:31:16.760
So, uh, you've been saying this, Glenn, I, I, I really do.
00:31:20.000
I hope not like you, but I do think this is a flashpoint.
00:31:22.820
I do think this is a really big deal because they're, they're, they're saying you cannot
00:31:30.360
And instead of trying to deescalate the situation, we are putting pressure.
00:31:35.540
And we're trying to enrage the citizenry even more.
00:31:38.860
So here's, what's really interesting is, um, you could say, hey, because of Antifa, we're
00:31:45.300
afraid of skirmishes, police will be out in numbers to make sure that these groups are,
00:31:54.220
John, you were there when the Black Panthers threatened to walk through the crowd of 500,000
00:32:05.000
There's easy ways to take care of it to where you say, look, you have your right.
00:32:13.260
Um, instead, what this governor has done is with, if I'm correct me, if I'm wrong, without
00:32:20.580
talking about Antifa, he has instead started talking about white supremacist groups and,
00:32:27.640
and, and foreshadowing the, the Nazi presence instead of saying, look, there's socialists
00:32:37.440
over here with Antifa who are dedicated to, you know, um, you know, trouble.
00:32:44.040
And then there is also the Nazis who have a long history, also socialists who have a
00:32:51.560
We're going to protect the law abiding citizens who are here to voice a different opinion than
00:33:03.980
Um, and if he would have said, then we would ask that you don't bring any guns.
00:33:09.040
I think it still would have bothered a lot of people would bother me, but at least it
00:33:15.120
What he's doing is he is making all the law abiding citizens of Virginia into white supremacists.
00:33:22.800
I think that's, I mean, sadly, that's exactly right.
00:33:30.440
And he, and he's just rubbing the salt in the wound.
00:33:32.460
I mean, last night, um, you know, me and a number of people, uh, you know, we're just
00:33:37.820
enraged by this because it's literally, you know, he's just putting a thumb in your eye
00:33:41.940
and saying, I don't care about your rights and I don't really even care about actually
00:33:46.800
I am so hell bent on my position and my views on this that I'm going to rub it in your face
00:33:53.680
And there's really nothing you can do about it.
00:33:55.680
And the question is whether that's actually the case, because what he's doing literally,
00:34:03.100
That's as clear as day, but it also violates Virginia code.
00:34:06.060
Virginia has code 4414615 that prohibits, um, of the governor in line with the constitution
00:34:12.980
of Virginia and of the second amendment of the United States constitution from, uh, from
00:34:18.360
prohibiting the rights of, of people to keep and bear arms as is guaranteed by the, the
00:34:25.680
And I think that he has just made people even more mad.
00:34:29.900
And then what he did is he compared it to Charlottesville.
00:34:32.100
Oh, well, we're getting warnings about, uh, behavior similar to what we saw in Charlottesville.
00:34:37.240
Last time I checked in Charlottesville, nobody was getting shot.
00:34:42.000
Somebody got hit and it was tragic, got killed with a car.
00:34:44.720
Uh, so are you banning cars to, to just, you know, say, well, it looks like Charlottesville
00:34:49.720
and therefore we are going to prevent the people from carrying, uh, does not seem like
00:34:55.320
And instead it's just trying to make a political point that is escalating the situation to a
00:34:59.620
point where I really think this could be the beginning of something, of something major.
00:35:04.640
I mean, this is the litmus test for the country in terms of, are we going to stand for our
00:35:13.880
And if you are going to challenge me on it, how far are you willing to go?
00:35:18.140
So do you know, um, first of all, what is the percentage of Virginia that is siding the
00:35:26.820
Uh, I mean, how much of Virginia is supporting the, the, the right to bear arms?
00:35:35.840
So you've got 90, there's 95 counties in Virginia, right?
00:35:39.600
And 90 of them are standing with the second amendment, 90 out of 95.
00:35:49.240
I mean, the one thing that Martin Luther King did was the leadership was very clear and
00:35:56.500
You're with us and there is no violence and anything else.
00:36:00.360
And I'm not suggesting that they would come out and be violent, but when pushed and provoked
00:36:05.780
and made angry by the state and Antifa and being called a Nazi and having a Nazi come in,
00:36:13.960
I mean, that is very, it is a volatile situation where 90% or 90 of 95 counties will feel like,
00:36:25.180
wait a minute, I'm the one that's pushing for law and order.
00:36:32.060
I believe our, our house, Senate and, and, uh, governor are being anti constitution.
00:36:44.260
I'm the only one historically standing where Americans are standing and I'm being lumped in
00:36:51.380
And that's why this is so dangerous because you right now, you've gotten to a point where
00:36:59.960
You've pushed the people who are for law and order to a point where they're angry, to a
00:37:04.980
point where they're mad, to a point where they're, they're ready to rise up.
00:37:10.900
So who's leading the, who's the leading voice that is going to take the Martin Luther King
00:37:23.480
And we have to be, even if you get beaten in the, I mean, this is what he said.
00:37:41.640
And, and that's, and that's where I think this is strategic because notice that, that
00:37:48.600
This happens on Monday, you know, the lobby day is Monday.
00:37:52.280
So there's really no time, uh, you know, the Virginia citizens, the defense league, they
00:38:00.960
They have their lawyers looking into it to look to, you know, how do we, how, how do we
00:38:04.400
settle this in court so that we don't have, um, a violent situation so that we don't have
00:38:09.080
clashes, uh, and Northam intentionally announced this yesterday because they waited until now
00:38:15.280
So, um, so to answer your question, Glenn, I did that there is no, there, there, there's
00:38:22.380
There's no one voicing that because there hasn't been the organizational time to actually affect
00:38:26.840
that because they're announcing all of this so late.
00:38:28.780
And so I really think that this is an intentional effort to, to, to just, you know, escalate
00:38:34.080
it, put their thumb in the eye of the people and see, you know, how, how messy can we make
00:38:39.880
And that's why I, I honestly think that Northam is not doing this in good faith.
00:38:46.740
He's trying to show the American people in his eyes, how evil these angry, evil right
00:38:52.360
wingers are when meanwhile, it's, it is people who are just trying to exercise their rights,
00:38:57.900
And that's why there's no time to actually, you know, have the kind of foresight and organizational
00:39:03.600
thought of like, how do we get this to be, uh, you know, a peaceful event and it needs
00:39:09.600
And I don't think that there was no forethought on that because they didn't think that people
00:39:14.880
would, I mean, they know the people of Virginia, the American citizens who are constitutionalist
00:39:20.620
in Virginia are just like they are in any other place.
00:39:31.720
Um, and I don't think the, the, um, the leadership necessarily thought because it's been peaceful.
00:39:40.340
But when you corner us and then, I mean, it's, it's a Reichstag moment.
00:39:45.740
If you have Nazis, you have Antifa and you have somebody who is righteously pushed up against
00:39:55.320
It, what matters is what the government says and what the press says on what happens.
00:40:06.020
The powers that be said, well, we have to go get them communists.
00:40:10.740
Now we got to round them all up because they blamed it on who they wanted to blame it on.
00:40:16.620
Just like Northam is already blaming this situation, not on Antifa, not on socialists, the national
00:40:24.060
He's just blanketing, uh, everybody who's going to show up to this thing is a white supremacist.
00:40:38.380
I know you've been covering this, uh, from the beginning.
00:40:40.660
So we'll, uh, make sure we keep track, uh, with you on the white house brief on blaze TV.
00:40:47.000
And John, real quick, if you just wanted to step in and say, which one was better?
00:40:49.880
Glenn's interview of you, or honestly, my appearance on your program yesterday.
00:40:57.920
Uh, and I think, you know, the show is going to be real fun, but if you, if you haven't
00:41:00.880
seen it, def, uh, I'm not going to, I'm not going to put myself in that position.
00:41:10.920
John Miller is one of the smartest guys I know.
00:41:31.420
If you're not a subscriber, become one now on iTunes, but while you're there, do us a favor
00:41:37.760
So in Virginia, the, the state house and legislature has been taken over by Democrats.
00:41:47.020
You also have a Democrat who is the governor who was really saved by his party, even though
00:41:56.000
And I mean, he said some crazy, crazy things about abortion.
00:42:04.400
Uh, and his opinions, I'm sure on the second amendment are personally, uh, you know, the
00:42:10.980
exact opposite of many Americans who believe in the constitution.
00:42:14.980
Well, they are using all of their power there in, uh, in Virginia.
00:42:19.720
Uh, now that they have taken over because of the population of Northern Virginia, which
00:42:28.840
I mean, the only thing that separates Virginia from Washington DC is the Lincoln Memorial and
00:42:35.200
When you see that shot of the Lincoln Memorial with Lincoln sitting in it from, so it's, you
00:42:41.320
know, from the front of the Lincoln Memorial, what's behind it is Virginia.
00:42:46.680
Uh, you know, that bridge that crosses over that, you know, JFK, uh, came over, they brought
00:42:56.040
That bridge brings you right to Arlington, Virginia.
00:42:59.900
So this huge population, uh, in Virginia is right there in Washington DC.
00:43:06.740
And that's now starting to control the rest of Virginia, which is nothing like Washington
00:43:19.840
They've met, uh, all across the state and they have decided that they are going to be a
00:43:26.140
sanctuary city if the, if the Democrats who now control the state start to put in these
00:43:33.140
crazy laws and well, the state doesn't like that.
00:43:38.340
So they were going to have a big rally in a place called Capitol square right there in
00:43:43.400
Uh, and, uh, it was a peaceful gathering just to let their voices be heard on Martin Luther
00:43:52.000
So what happens last night, the governor, remember the guy in blackface, uh, the governor, I don't
00:44:00.060
was he in blackface last night when he made this?
00:44:03.140
I think it's, I think it's only on, uh, Tuesdays and Fridays.
00:44:07.240
So, uh, he came out without the blackface and said, this is, um, uh, this is not going to
00:44:16.700
You know, we have, we have violence coming our way, white supremacists, uh, and so there
00:44:23.600
are no guns that are allowed on Capitol square.
00:44:27.180
And he, he pulled that off by declaring a state of emergency.
00:44:35.120
There may be credible threats, but not from the majority of people of Virginia that are
00:44:40.860
coming to this rally, there are people that feel disenfranchised by their government, that
00:44:54.780
How do they feel what's going to happen on Monday?
00:44:57.960
I want to open up the phones to you because America needs to hear from Virginia and they
00:45:03.940
need to hear from the Virginians who are going through this because most of America doesn't
00:45:08.580
know anything about this story and it could be a wildfire by Monday night.
00:45:15.940
I don't think it will be, but it could be Kirby in Virginia.
00:45:21.560
Hey, I'm a Richmond second amendment Patriot, and I'm going to be there as a Patriot and
00:45:27.420
I wanted to address the Antifa, the carrying of guns and a credible threat.
00:45:36.840
Uh, I read their, uh, post and they're, they're basically saying they were against
00:45:40.120
the initial, uh, the initial gun bans as well as what Ralph is doing because they say
00:45:45.780
they need the guns to protect themselves in the future from Nazis.
00:45:49.600
Now, whether you believe them or not, that's another story, but you can look them up.
00:45:53.140
So they're not actually, they're not actually causing trouble for you.
00:45:56.880
They're no, they are going to be joining or are they going to be having their separate
00:46:03.080
They don't say anything about what they're going to do that day.
00:46:06.220
They're just saying they're against the gun ban.
00:46:08.820
Because they believe it protects the politicians and their people, you know, I guess minorities.
00:46:13.420
Uh, anybody they represent that they think the Nazis could harm need guns to stop Nazis when
00:46:23.920
Uh, it's a statement they made right after they were banned by Facebook for a month.
00:46:33.000
I want to say one minute, uh, the VL, uh, the VC, uh, the Virginia citizens defense league
00:46:40.220
And most of the people, and I, and I'm real in touch with a lot of the people that are
00:46:45.000
pro second amendment, uh, they're going to, they're going to go and be behind the lines.
00:46:48.920
They're not going to cross over, but they are going to bring their guns because we've
00:46:53.820
And the other thing is, um, uh, yeah, I'm against the, of course, the, the gun bans and
00:47:02.040
I think it's just, uh, uh, terrible, but there are some credible threats.
00:47:06.300
I've actually seen them on Facebook where guys were saying they were going to go armed.
00:47:15.160
So that's, so that's, and is that part of the, the citizen defense, uh, no, no, no, no, no,
00:47:24.840
They're just random people who are rabble rousers that are saying, yeah, let's go armed and get
00:47:31.180
I, I, I, I actually told these guys, you don't know, no, that's wrong.
00:47:37.360
We want to show America that we are not the crazies that the liberals are making us out
00:47:42.900
If you go in there armed and try to take out the governor, then that's going to destroy
00:47:49.840
So I know that's not what you're, I know, I know exactly what you're saying, Kirby, and
00:47:55.200
Um, uh, and you're exactly right, uh, and, uh, stay way away from anybody who is, and
00:48:09.500
And anyone who says something like that should be immediately reported to authorities, uh,
00:48:13.820
Uh, that's obviously, I mean, you know, what, you know, the whole point of this is the second
00:48:19.480
amendment is not used for those types of reasons and is not used to make threats against people.
00:48:27.940
I mean, it is, it is our God given right to be able to protect ourselves.
00:48:32.140
Um, and so certainly an effective, uh, rally and messaging of that point does not include,
00:48:37.240
uh, you know, the crazy people, which of course there are a few.
00:48:39.900
There always are, people are saying all sorts of crap online.
00:48:42.500
Um, but yeah, I mean, you see anything like that, that's obviously something you should
00:48:45.740
Because also the people who say that online, um, they're either dumb as a box of rocks because
00:48:51.080
that's should be reported and will be reported.
00:48:56.500
Um, however, uh, you know, they, they, uh, they also may claim to be something they're not.
00:49:03.700
I don't know if you know this, but internet, the people on the internet, not necessarily always
00:49:18.560
Uh, lifelong Henrico County resident, uh, guns are part of this, but I think you guys
00:49:25.740
What's going on here is this is the results of people not voting in elections besides this
00:49:37.640
Uh, you know, you used to be able to recall the governor with 10% of the vote and via petition
00:49:42.320
and they passed increasing that number from 10 to 25%.
00:49:45.960
They're, uh, changing the term limits from a governor from one term to two terms.
00:49:50.960
They're also changing the way the governor's elected.
00:49:53.220
So instead by popular vote in Virginia, they want to do it by who wins the most congressional
00:49:58.340
And we all know which way that leans, especially with Northern Virginia.
00:50:01.780
The other thing they want to do, excuse me, is they want to change our electoral college
00:50:08.260
votes from the way it's normally run to the national popular vote.
00:50:14.000
This is a complete and total power grab by the left sponsored for and paid for by Michael
00:50:22.940
So shame on all you people, all my fellow right wing people who didn't go out and vote in
00:50:34.220
That is a, um, a great perspective that I don't think Americans have heard.
00:50:48.840
Uh, I'm actually in Charlottesville, Virginia, and, um, I, uh, was born and raised here and,
00:50:55.120
um, you know, my family, grandparents, we grew up living off the land, you know, um, yeah,
00:51:06.040
And, um, still to this day, my thing is, is, you know, there's a rumor around here as
00:51:12.820
well, you know, saying miners can't hunt anymore in Virginia.
00:51:16.280
Uh, I don't know exactly if that's true, but that's the word going around here.
00:51:21.420
Um, and just like the other call, just like the other caller said, you know, we, we did
00:51:26.760
this to ourselves, you know, we, we weren't paying attention and I, I'm one of those people
00:51:32.040
I regret to say, you know, and, uh, now look, here we are now.
00:51:36.580
Um, and, um, it, it's really disheartening, um, you know, all my friends and family, you
00:51:42.620
know, we're for guns, um, we've never had a, a bad, you know, gun incident or anything
00:51:49.080
Um, we simply just like to shoot guns at the range and, uh, you know, hunt deer, turkey,
00:51:56.300
um, you know, and put a good old meal on the table.
00:51:59.940
And the people who don't actually, uh, hunt for their food around here, they're all very
00:52:06.520
You know, it's, uh, it's a big thing for us and, um, you know, and, uh, to go on to
00:52:13.040
my next point, if that's all right, you know, um, do you think that, you know, the governor
00:52:18.300
or whoever is going to, you know, uh, call, uh, you know, white supremacists and people
00:52:29.000
Um, I think Jake, I think it's, um, it's, uh, not helpful.
00:52:34.280
To, uh, speculate, uh, as you get close to an event like this, um, you can look in history
00:52:43.240
and you can look at the, uh, for instance, I, uh, I, I would go to the Bernie Sanders,
00:52:50.020
uh, supporter, uh, that has just been relieved, uh, just been, uh, you know, exposed by project
00:52:57.840
Veritas as someone who says, we're going to go to Milwaukee and we're going to burn it down
00:53:02.260
If there's trouble with Bernie Sanders, we're going to, I mean, this, they're going to,
00:53:05.460
we're going to make 1968, 1968 look like a picnic in Milwaukee.
00:53:11.020
Well, that's just one guy that's saying that, but there are those supporters that think like
00:53:16.400
Um, and, and in Virginia, you should know that because one of Bernie Sanders supporters,
00:53:20.980
uh, went and tried to shoot the Republican members of Congress and, and almost killed one,
00:53:29.060
uh, and could have killed all of them, uh, if, if, if God, I think hadn't had some divine
00:53:36.520
providence on our, uh, on our country that day, uh, we could have had a real tragedy.
00:53:40.900
And that was a guy who was a low level staffer of, of Bernie Sanders.
00:53:45.560
There are people to quote Batman that, or actually, um, uh, Alfred, there are people that just want
00:53:57.920
And just to clarify, you said he was a low level staffer.
00:54:17.300
I think you can fairly say like, this is not Bernie Sanders, right?
00:54:21.160
He's making, you know, 25, $30,000 a year, you know, as a, as a campaign guy.
00:54:24.960
But, uh, if he doesn't get fired after this, then I think maybe you can say it is.
00:54:29.660
You imagine an intern, you imagine an intern for me saying that.
00:54:34.020
They would be calling for my head, especially if I didn't fire him.
