The Glenn Beck Program - Best of the Program ｜ Guest： Jonathan Cahn ｜ 4⧸6⧸23

00:00:00.000 We did not get to JPMorgan Chase and Jamie Dimon, what he said.

00:00:08.460 Oh, yeah.

00:00:09.220 How could we have not gotten to that today?

00:00:11.160 We have to share it with you on tomorrow's podcast or just look it up.

00:00:15.220 It's so important.

00:00:16.840 He said that the government should just start claiming eminent domain on farmland

00:00:22.040 so we could, you know, have more solar panels and wind power.

00:00:26.700 Are you out of your mind?

00:00:29.440 It's coming.

00:00:30.680 You will own nothing and you will be happy.

00:00:33.420 On today's program, we really nailed down a couple of issues.

00:00:39.100 One of them is transgenderism. 0.52

00:00:42.320 You need to listen to this and take a stand in your own life.

00:00:46.320 It's a real challenge to you today on the podcast.

00:00:50.180 And then Jonathan Cahn joins us for part one of The Return of the Gods,

00:00:55.860 a new book that I've been reading that is really exceptional.

00:00:58.760 It makes it very clear what's happening to America.

00:01:03.400 And when you hear the ancient gods and what they brought and what they did to a nation

00:01:11.400 when the people started worshipping them, you will see we are, without knowing, worshipping these three powerful gods.

00:01:21.960 And it is destruction.

00:01:24.040 He's got hopeful message for us tomorrow, but you need to have the basics of what these gods are.

00:01:30.280 And are we worshipping them?

00:01:32.020 All on today's podcast brought to you by American Giant.

00:01:36.220 American Giant is one of my favorite sponsors.

00:01:39.660 I love the guy who runs American Giant.

00:01:45.180 It was his idea to start this company.

00:01:47.160 I think it was in 2012.

00:01:48.980 Clothing factory was failing in North Carolina.

00:01:52.460 Not actually failing.

00:01:53.940 They had to shut down because all the business was going overseas.

00:01:57.080 We used to buy 95% of our clothing here in America was made in America.

00:02:04.260 Now 97% is made overseas.

00:02:06.940 So this factory is going down.

00:02:09.140 And he decides, let me talk to the factory owners.

00:02:12.240 I'll invest in new machinery and skill development.

00:02:15.000 Because he wanted to start making American clothing again.

00:02:19.040 He's a real Americaphile.

00:02:20.420 And he loved the old Champion sweatshirts and the hoodies that you can't buy anymore.

00:02:28.200 They just, they don't make them like that.

00:02:30.400 It's because we sold off the machines.

00:02:32.800 And most of them were sitting over in Japan, you know, sitting in mothballs. 0.88

00:02:37.660 He brought some of those machines back.

00:02:40.040 He retooled the factory, went and skilled labor here in America.

00:02:46.140 And now it's the best sweatshirt ever.

00:02:50.820 It is American Giant.

00:02:52.940 Look for the best.

00:02:54.460 Look for the American Giant label.

00:02:56.280 American-Giant.com.

00:02:58.920 American-Giant.com slash Glenn.

00:03:09.700 You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck Program.

00:03:18.360 Welcome to the Glenn Beck Program.

00:03:20.420 How are you?

00:03:22.680 Well, I am just wrapped up with good news today.

00:03:27.200 The job numbers have come out.

00:03:30.300 Wow.

00:03:31.320 It seems like maybe this isn't all just transitory.

00:03:39.420 Who would have seen that coming?

00:03:41.380 Thank God you did.

00:03:43.220 Also, we're going to talk to you a little bit about, you know, something that I just love.

00:03:50.440 Dylan Mulaney.

00:03:52.320 Is that his name?

00:03:53.780 What's his name?

00:03:54.480 Mulaney.

00:03:55.000 Mulvaney.

00:03:55.680 Mulvaney.

00:03:56.240 Yes.

00:03:56.960 Mulvaney.

00:03:58.060 Even better.

00:04:00.280 Dylan Mulvaney.

00:04:01.480 You know, he's a Bud Light.

00:04:03.340 I'm sorry.

00:04:03.960 Did I just misgender him?

00:04:08.120 Oh, no, I didn't.

00:04:09.060 Because he's a guy.

00:04:10.420 He's a guy.

00:04:12.040 We're going to talk about his endorsement, not only for Bud Light, but also now for Nike

00:04:17.560 sports bras.

00:04:18.940 Now, if you want to have a guy advertise sports bras, you get me to do it, okay?

00:04:27.320 Someone with some D-cups.

00:04:28.560 Because I start running, man.

00:04:30.480 These things are jiggling.

00:04:32.000 They hurt.

00:04:33.180 I mean, I need a sports bra.

00:04:37.280 Okay.

00:04:37.880 So, we've got an exciting time happening for us.

00:04:43.800 Now, the government numbers are a little different than the ADP numbers, but the ADP jobless numbers

00:04:56.120 have already come out.

00:04:58.300 We're waiting for the government's numbers.

00:05:00.160 But from ADP, it shows private sector hiring has decelerated, and it's another sign that

00:05:11.340 the U.S. is headed for a sharp slowdown, or dare I say it, recession.

00:05:19.140 Dare I say it, Stu?

00:05:20.200 Dare I?

00:05:20.680 How could you?

00:05:21.480 There's no risk of that.

00:05:22.600 There's no risk.

00:05:23.040 This is transitory.

00:05:23.800 Right.

00:05:24.100 Exactly right.

00:05:24.780 So, the company payrolls rose by just $145,000 for the month, down from an upwardly revised

00:05:32.700 $261,000 in February, and below the Dow Jones estimate of $210,000.

00:05:39.420 Now, here's what they do.

00:05:42.500 ADP, I don't know what the Dow Jones does.

00:05:45.560 I don't know what the government does.

00:05:47.160 But I believe ADP has a very complex system because they're a payroll company, and what

00:06:00.340 they do, is my understanding, I could be wrong, is they look at how many paychecks they cut

00:06:07.260 last month, and then they give us the number that they cut this month, and they either add

00:06:18.060 or subtract to that to give us the data.

00:06:20.240 Now, if they add some sort of fancy algorithm, I would say that's why you can't trust it.

00:06:30.120 But I think that's a pretty good one.

00:06:32.120 You know, you're looking at all the companies, and you're like, hmm, how many checks did we

00:06:37.160 cut last month?

00:06:38.460 How many checks did we cut this month?

00:06:42.220 Okay.

00:06:43.040 Add or subtract.

00:06:44.360 Seems pretty easy.

00:06:46.300 Seems pretty easy.

00:06:47.400 But the government has, you know, a New York Times bestseller list kind of algorithm going

00:06:52.300 for it.

00:06:52.820 So, we'll see.

00:06:54.580 But it's not supposed to be a good day.

00:06:58.000 The actual jobs number is tomorrow, right?

00:07:01.020 Is it tomorrow?

00:07:01.500 Tomorrow, I thought it was this morning.

00:07:02.100 So, I know there's something that came out today, which is one of those more, like,

00:07:05.400 another different type.

00:07:06.340 There's the main jobs report, I believe.

00:07:08.020 It always comes out on Friday, and it comes out tomorrow.

00:07:10.020 Even on, I guess, Good Friday.

00:07:11.300 All right.

00:07:11.520 Yeah.

00:07:11.720 There's something that comes out today in jobs.

00:07:14.980 Yeah.

00:07:15.320 There was something else that came out separately today.

00:07:17.600 But the big number, I like this quote, by the way.

00:07:19.480 This is from a chief economist at ZipRecruiter, actually.

00:07:24.140 I think the image for me that most sums up where we are, labor market, is a chart by Bloomberg's

00:07:28.140 chief economist, which shows that mentions of job cuts are now higher than mentions of

00:07:32.980 labor shortages and earnings calls.

00:07:35.080 That's a big reversal after 2021 and 2022, where very much the years of the labor shortage

00:07:39.840 and everyone was talking about how they were struggling to find workers were at a tipping

00:07:44.080 point now.

00:07:44.720 So we had all these people living off the teat of the government, and they wouldn't work.

00:07:53.220 Now, the people who will work are losing their job.

00:07:58.040 So this is good.

00:07:58.780 This is good news.

00:07:59.940 By the way, ChatGPT, they did an analysis of the job market.

00:08:08.420 But they did this at the behest of a Goldman trader, and he put in all of the things.

00:08:15.280 I said, what do you think?

00:08:16.220 And basically, he got back.

00:08:19.560 We're all on borrowed time.

00:08:21.960 So I think that's good.

00:08:23.220 I mean, nothing to worry about.

00:08:25.200 Hey, listen, let me tell you.

00:08:26.980 I don't know if you heard this.

00:08:28.000 This is good news.

00:08:30.440 But gold has approached an all-time high.

00:08:33.900 It has passed the $2,000 level.

00:08:40.260 The all-time high is $2,075.

00:08:44.220 Price of gold yesterday was $20,20.

00:08:48.740 Oh, it was a fine year as well.

00:08:50.560 And it looks as though gold is going to hit, this according to Citigroup, $2,300 in the near term.

00:09:09.200 We get up to $3,000, $4,000 an ounce.

00:09:13.700 $3,000, really.

00:09:15.400 You're in a different world.

00:09:16.900 Okay, the reason why Citigroup is saying that it may reach $2,300 in the near term, gold has found itself on solid ground as the U.S. dollar's strength tapered.

00:09:32.860 Okay, are any of your friends paying attention to this?

00:09:37.760 Because this is the most – I read a diary of a guy from World War II, and he was in Germany during the Weimar Republic.

00:09:49.040 And he said nobody had any idea what hyperinflation even meant.

00:09:54.760 He said we were just going along and we had inflation and, you know, things weren't great, but it wasn't hyperinflation.

00:10:01.760 He said seven days later, that was the only conversation you would have with anyone in Germany.

00:10:13.320 When this happens, it happens fast.

00:10:18.120 It's not like we're doing the slow approach to it now.

00:10:21.720 Now, this is the time for you to explain this to your friends and to your neighbors, that massive change is coming.

00:10:31.760 And the reason why you explain it is the opposite of what Neil Cavuto told me one time.

00:10:37.680 Neil Cavuto, I said in 2008 that I thought we were headed for a crash and the banking system didn't make any sense.

00:10:46.220 These home loans were out of control, and he – when we got off the air, he didn't even look at me.

00:10:54.200 I said, hey, thanks, Neil.

00:10:55.540 Mm-hmm.

00:10:57.000 And I said – and Neil and I were friends, and I said, is there a problem?

00:11:01.600 Did I get something wrong?

00:11:03.300 And he said, no.

00:11:05.000 No, you didn't.

00:11:06.820 And I said, okay, is there a problem? 0.95

00:11:10.180 And he said, you're the most irresponsible man I've ever met.

00:11:13.920 And I – I mean, it crushed me.

00:11:17.680 And I said, oh, my God, what did I get wrong?

00:11:21.740 He said, you didn't get wrong.

00:11:23.700 We know this is coming.

00:11:25.240 We don't tell the American people because they will freak out.

00:11:29.840 And I said, respectfully, Neil, I disagree with you.

00:11:35.060 We have to tell the American people or they will freak out.

00:11:40.460 You need to brace people for this.

00:11:44.280 It is the government's belief, and it is many journalists' belief, that if they tell you these things, then it'll make you go do it.

00:11:54.820 It'll just make it a done deal.

00:11:57.240 I got news for you.

00:11:58.360 Math is math.

00:12:01.280 So it's coming.

00:12:02.680 So don't freak out.

00:12:05.320 Prepare.

00:12:06.500 Prepare.

00:12:07.140 And prepare your family and your friends.

00:12:10.260 That way we have a better chance of not eating each other for dinner.

00:12:16.640 And that could happen.

00:12:17.780 I eat a lot.

00:12:19.140 That grocery store is closed for 10 minutes.

00:12:21.860 I'm knocking on your door.

00:12:23.260 I'm just saying.

00:12:24.200 Now, I told you yesterday that China and Malaysia were discussing the Asian Monetary Fund.

00:12:31.760 You also had Brazil involved in this.

00:12:35.760 Listen to this story today.

00:12:37.680 Tell me that we are a superpower anymore.

00:12:43.100 Tell me that our friends are not going to abandon us and our dollar.

00:12:50.140 Listen to this.

00:12:52.060 The Mexican president, Orbrador, has written to officials in China requesting Beijing's help in stemming the flow of fentanyl into Mexico.

00:13:04.780 Now, I for one would just like to say at this point, I hope Beijing funds a wall on our southern border.

00:13:14.500 If Mexico's northern border could just be protected by a wall, wow, I'd be very disappointed.

00:13:23.000 He said at a news conference that he had written the Chinese after U.S. officials encouraged him.

00:13:29.400 U.S. officials encouraged him to reach out to Beijing in a recent visit.

00:13:36.720 Why would we do that?

00:13:38.380 Why would we encourage the Mexicans to reach out for help from the Chinese, our enemy? 1.00

00:13:50.140 The Mexican president also struck out at the U.S.

00:13:53.960 He complained about the U.S. in his letter and the rude threats coming from the U.S. officials to classify Mexican drug cartels as terrorist groups.

00:14:03.900 I don't think that's rude.

00:14:06.340 I think that's like fact.

00:14:09.160 All right.

00:14:10.460 We got to get over these.

00:14:12.180 Well, that's hate speech.

00:14:14.380 Not if it's true.

00:14:16.220 No.

00:14:16.900 Then it's just a fact.

00:14:19.640 He said, we've come to you in his letter to President Z.

00:14:22.740 We've come to you, President Z, not to ask for your support in the face of these rude threats, but to request that for humanitarian reasons, you help us control shipments of fentanyl that can be sent from China to our country.

00:14:38.360 Unjustly, unjustly, the United States is blaming us for problems that in large measure have to do with their loss of values.

00:14:49.920 That's not hate speech.

00:14:55.000 On his part, that's true.

00:15:00.740 These positions are in themselves a lack of respect and a threat to our sovereignty.

00:15:07.000 And moreover, they are based on an absurd, manipulative, propagandistic, and demagogic attitude.

00:15:15.820 That's our friend Mexico writing a letter to President Z in China.

00:15:23.960 Top Saudis now said that they are meeting with the Iranians in Beijing for a new peace conference.

00:15:36.240 Okay.

00:15:37.460 Listen to this.

00:15:39.720 This is coming from an Iranian official who's standing right with a Saudi official.

00:15:47.080 Quote, the era of the United States' involvement in this region, the Middle East, is over.

00:15:54.600 The regional countries are capable of preserving security and stability in the Middle East without any interference from Washington.

00:16:03.640 The next steps will be discussed in Beijing.

00:16:08.860 Huh.

00:16:09.600 Do you remember when the experts all said that a Biden administration would restore us in good standing with the rest of the world?

00:16:27.920 A Biden administration would put us back where we belong.

00:16:32.500 And non-experts like me said, no, no, they won't.

00:16:42.540 No one respects us with this kind of leadership.

00:16:47.040 Little did I know we would not only not be respected, but we would be shunned because of what's happening in our country.

00:16:57.900 This is the best of the Glenn Beck Program.

00:17:02.500 Let's stand up.

00:17:06.180 I mean, not now.

00:17:07.240 If you're driving, especially, or if you're in the office or in a meeting and you got the earbuds in and they think you're listening, don't stand up.

00:17:13.580 But, I mean, let's prepare to stand up.

00:17:17.640 What are we standing up for?

00:17:19.260 I'm tired of being against things.

00:17:21.980 I'm not against transgenderism.

00:17:27.540 I'm for the sanctity of gender. 0.97

00:17:30.820 I am for the sanctity of a mother and father's relationship with their child and their protected space around that child.

00:17:45.940 That's what I'm for.

00:17:47.180 I'm for my traditional Christian beliefs.

00:17:54.140 And I know a lot of people are like, he's not traditional.

00:17:57.240 You know, I believe all the same things you do.

00:18:01.000 I just happen to believe some other things as well.

00:18:05.180 Our virtues and our values are exactly the same.

00:18:09.160 That's what I'm for.

00:18:10.460 Now, I want to tell you a story about a mom up in Oregon. 0.51

00:18:17.360 I know, I know.

00:18:18.660 Why would you be a mom in Oregon? 1.00

00:18:20.780 Some people are trapped.

00:18:23.100 Jessica Bates is her name.

00:18:25.280 And she lost her husband and wanted to adopt a couple of kids. 0.98

00:18:32.140 And what the state has put her through is absolutely astonishing.

00:18:40.860 Jessica Bates is with us now, as is her attorney, Johannes Viedmomm-Delfangs.

00:18:51.480 Johannes and Jessica, welcome.

00:18:54.720 Thank you.

00:18:56.060 Thanks.

00:18:56.520 Good to be here.

00:18:56.860 All right.

00:18:58.360 So, Jessica, tell me what happened, your journey with the state on adoption.

00:19:08.760 Yeah.

00:19:09.600 So, I felt like God had put it on my heart to look into adoption and went ahead and got

00:19:15.960 in touch with the Department of Human Services.

00:19:19.560 And after finishing their Resource and Adoptive Families training, I let them know that some of

00:19:26.140 their things that they teach about sexual orientation and gender identity, you have to support their

00:19:35.000 views and you have to, would have to take a child for cross-sex hormone injections or

00:19:41.440 possibly post pride flags or LGBTQ plus things on your lawn.

00:19:47.480 You have to support.

00:19:48.320 And I let them know my faith convictions.

00:19:50.500 I could not do that.

00:19:51.760 And they ended up denying my application to adopt.

00:19:56.720 And did they come out and say that?

00:20:00.860 There was a phone call where they basically said, we're going to put you on hold.

00:20:04.600 If you change your mind, we can put your application back into circulation.

00:20:09.760 But we're going to put you on hold for now.

00:20:11.440 And then about two months later, they did officially deny me with the letter.

00:20:16.900 Johannes, what is, what's the case here?

00:20:22.760 Well, Oregon is discriminating based on religion.

00:20:26.220 It's really as simple as that.

00:20:27.680 They're saying, they're making a sweeping claim, which is that people of a certain religious

00:20:32.720 faith are categorically unfit to care for children. 1.00

00:20:36.100 We believe that violates Jessica's First Amendment rights, both her rights to free exercise and freedom 0.92

00:20:41.040 of speech.

00:20:41.500 And so that's why we filed this lawsuit.

00:20:45.700 And when did you file it?

00:20:48.040 We filed it, let's see, on Monday.

00:20:51.060 So on the 2nd, I think it was.

00:20:53.560 And what part of Oregon are you in, Jessica?

00:20:57.660 Vail.

00:20:58.240 I live out in Vail, Oregon, which is a pretty small little rural area outside of Ontario.

00:21:03.320 All right.

00:21:03.540 Is that part of the Oregon that wants to secede and go to Idaho?

00:21:08.720 I do believe so, yes.

00:21:10.100 I do believe so, yeah.

00:21:10.900 You'd be better off.

00:21:12.380 And so would Idaho, quite honestly.

00:21:15.280 But so you must have support in your community.

00:21:19.920 And this is just coming from the west coast of Oregon.

00:21:25.920 Yeah, I've had, since the story kind of, since that first interview with Fox the other day,

00:21:30.820 I've had a lot of people reach out and just had somebody here at work say, hey, I want

00:21:34.760 to let you know, supporting you with what you're doing.

00:21:38.180 Definitely a lot of support.

00:21:39.300 And I would imagine you're going to take this all the way to Supreme Court if necessary.

00:21:44.340 The Alliance Defending Freedom, Johannes, tell me about your support and your funding.

00:21:55.040 It all comes, you're doing this for free for Jessica, right?

00:22:00.020 Absolutely.

00:22:01.500 We're a nonprofit.

00:22:03.000 We're supported by people who, you know, just want to support the work that we're doing,

00:22:07.420 which is fighting for our God-given rights to live and to speak the truth.

00:22:11.560 Okay.

00:22:11.720 So when Jessica reached out, you know, we said that we wanted to stand by her.

00:22:16.140 Do we have, Johannes, do we have any other examples of this happening in America where

00:22:22.060 the case has been tried?

00:22:25.040 Well, so on two fronts, unfortunately, we have heard from other people who are going

00:22:29.100 through a similar thing, being discriminated against because of their beliefs.

00:22:32.200 But there hasn't been a lot of litigation over this.

00:22:35.720 There is one case that went up to the Third Circuit Court of Appeals that's sort of in

00:22:39.720 the area of New Jersey.

00:22:41.240 But other than, and then there was a case actually in Washington where Washington State settled

00:22:46.200 and, you know, they basically relented and agreed that it violated the First Amendment

00:22:51.720 rights to discriminate in this way.

00:22:53.940 It's going to be amazing to watch because, you know, if they change, like Washington,

00:22:59.200 okay, we have to do that.

00:23:00.860 I would imagine the culture in the government is not supportive of that.

00:23:07.780 I wonder how much of this is actually done just without people knowing about it.

00:23:15.660 Well, right.

00:23:16.600 I mean, just since we filed the lawsuit, we've heard from people.

00:23:19.960 Well, and, you know, unfortunately, I mean, hopefully what we're asking the court to do,

00:23:26.160 right, is not just to protect Jessica, but to protect all people of faith, whether they're

00:23:30.320 Christian, devout Jews, Muslims, you know, this goes beyond Jessica.

00:23:34.060 And then obviously, when the state puts ideology above people the way that it's doing, it ultimately

00:23:40.660 hurts the children in need, which is, again, why we filed this lawsuit.

00:23:44.400 It's amazing to me, Jessica, that the left always says, well, nobody's going to want to

00:23:49.400 adopt these children.

00:23:50.960 Why don't you adopt some children? 0.53

00:23:52.300 Well, I have adopted children.

00:23:53.680 You are adopting or wanting to adopt children.

00:23:58.820 And then they say to Christians, no, you can't adopt, which puts the mothers then in between.

00:24:07.960 And what do they do?

00:24:09.240 They choose a portion.

00:24:10.500 I mean, it's amazing how indecent all of this game is.

00:24:16.660 Yeah, yeah, for sure.

00:24:20.680 It's definitely unjust, not a level playing field.

00:24:25.240 And I think last year, there were about 8,000 children that touched the Oregon foster care

00:24:30.680 system.

00:24:31.760 And these kids need homes.

00:24:33.200 They're so much better when they're set in loving families.

00:24:35.240 And that's what I'm wanting to do and to open up the gate so that more families can help

00:24:40.460 instead of less.

00:24:41.660 It's amazing to me also, we know the foster care system is broken.

00:24:49.200 I know kids who have been in foster homes, and they're lucky to find a good home.

00:24:55.960 So many are bad.

00:24:57.600 And here's the state trying to take good, decent people out of the mix.

00:25:03.600 You take Christians out of the mix for foster care. 0.95

00:25:07.500 Good luck with that.

00:25:09.960 Good luck.

00:25:12.380 Yeah.

00:25:13.360 Yeah.

00:25:13.980 It's definitely discriminatory.

00:25:16.960 And Glenn, I would just add, you know, I mean, Christians have been doing this long 1.00

00:25:20.300 before there were departments of health and human services, you know, providing these types

00:25:25.620 of services.

00:25:26.840 And, you know, according to some surveys, practicing Jewish Christians are twice as likely to adopt

00:25:33.280 as the general public.

00:25:35.040 Um, so for sure, you know, and I think that it's really pernicious because it really puts

00:25:41.260 pressure on a lot of families to violate their conscience.

00:25:45.460 You know, they may feel that, well, if I don't go through with this, who's going to take care

00:25:49.040 of these children?

00:25:50.140 Um, so the state is, this is really about pushing ideology onto people, trying to pressure

00:25:55.600 them to compromise.

00:25:56.420 Um, but all they want to do is, again, they're not asking, they're not saying they're entitled

00:26:01.500 to a child.

00:26:02.200 They just want to care alongside, you know, serve alongside others on an equal, yeah, exactly,

00:26:07.480 on an equal playing field.

00:26:08.680 Uh, thank you so much.

00:26:09.860 I appreciate it, Johannes.

00:26:11.140 And, uh, and Jessica, thank you.

00:26:13.040 We'll be following your story.

00:26:14.500 Um, I urge you, uh, to get involved.

00:26:17.460 You can help fund cases like this, um, adflegal.org.

00:26:24.380 That's adflegal.org.

00:26:27.060 You know, I've talked to several of these legal foundations and, uh, they don't have a shortage

00:26:34.020 of people willing to help and attorneys to volunteer their time.

00:26:37.940 They're actually finding now a shortage of people willing to stand up.

00:26:43.420 And that's not who we are, America.

00:26:45.640 It's not who we are, you know, they always say, uh, going gets tough, the tough get going.

00:26:51.800 Well, the going has gotten tough now and, uh, we cannot let fear stop us from doing the

00:27:03.060 right thing.

00:27:03.580 The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

00:27:07.820 What are we going to, are you really that afraid in the grand scheme of things?

00:27:13.980 When judgment comes, and it's going to come to all of us, when judgment comes, even if

00:27:22.280 you don't believe in that, you just close your eyes at the end of your life and your life

00:27:29.040 is flashing in front of your eyes.

00:27:30.980 Do you want to see yourself standing up, protecting children from horror shows or sitting down when

00:27:47.220 you should have stood up?

00:27:48.620 Give yourself a break at the end of your life.

00:27:53.820 Give your life meaning.

00:27:56.180 We're all born at this time for a reason.

00:27:59.200 Well, there are a lot of reasons to be alive today.

00:28:03.760 And standing, I can't think of a better, you know, everybody's like, we've got to go to war

00:28:07.880 against...

00:28:08.620 Really?

00:28:11.300 Do we?

00:28:14.180 I've got, we've got to have reparations for slavery.

00:28:16.920 Really?

00:28:17.360 Because there's 40 million slaves right now today in the world.

00:28:23.820 That's more than the 400 years of slavery combined.

00:28:30.280 Why are we talking about past slavery?

00:28:31.860 Why don't we be abolitionists today so future generations don't go, what the hell were those

00:28:37.420 people thinking?

00:28:39.780 Let's break the cycle.

00:28:42.120 Stand up.

00:28:44.140 Find the reason you were born.

00:28:48.000 Maybe, maybe it's to help people like Jessica.

00:28:52.000 I don't know.

00:28:54.020 You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck Program.

00:28:56.820 If you've been a long-term listener of the program back around 2010, I think, I started

00:29:07.460 talking about the evil of Moloch and Baal and how I felt we were repeating all of the 1.00

00:29:13.920 rituals.

00:29:14.580 We just didn't know it.

00:29:16.360 Well, a guy who's actually put meat on that bone, a great deal of meat, and I've learned

00:29:21.340 a ton, just reading the book Return of the Gods, is Jonathan Cahn.

00:29:25.780 And he joins me now.

00:29:27.700 Hi, Jonathan.

00:29:28.480 How are you, sir?

00:29:29.580 Hey, Glenn.

00:29:30.120 Great to be back.

00:29:30.880 I'm good.

00:29:31.560 Yeah, good to have you.

00:29:33.400 So lay this out for us.

00:29:37.980 First, kind of just show the state that we're in and entering if we don't wake up.

00:29:46.740 Yeah.

00:29:47.380 You know, I got all sorts of emails recently when you shared the dream that you had.

00:29:54.360 And you've been speaking about this for a whole while.

00:29:57.980 And the thing is that we are witnessing changes in America that are massive, that are irrational,

00:30:06.220 that even people who are not believers are saying, what is going on?

00:30:10.080 Right.

00:30:10.280 There's something.

00:30:11.380 And so the Return of the Gods is opening up this mystery.

00:30:14.560 And the question being that, what if behind all this, it's not just happening randomly?

00:30:20.020 What if there's something behind it?

00:30:21.540 What if it goes back to ancient times?

00:30:23.760 And what if the gods that we hear about mythologically, they're not just tales, but there's something behind them?

00:30:31.500 And what if they came back?

00:30:33.480 And what if we opened the door for it?

00:30:36.020 And the thing is that the Bible actually always gives the answer.

00:30:39.480 And in the book of Deuteronomy, it says that when they're worshipping these gods, the word that it's used is the word Shedim.

00:30:48.440 And the word Shedim doesn't just mean, you know, mythology.

00:30:52.040 It means spirits.

00:30:53.120 It means principalities.

00:30:54.920 It says they offered up their children to the Shedim, these spirits.

00:30:58.780 When that word was translated into Greek by the rabbis and it got into the New Testament, the word became daemonia.

00:31:05.500 We get the word demon from it.

00:31:06.740 And so what it's saying is behind these gods of the ancient world were these spirits.

00:31:12.960 And the thing is that all over the world.

00:31:14.520 And so, you know, when you look at pagan culture, you're looking at the signs of spirit possession. 0.90

00:31:20.120 It's all over.

00:31:21.100 But then what happened to it?

00:31:22.720 If you set the stage, what happened was Jesus happened.

00:31:25.120 You know, comes into the world.

00:31:26.680 The gospel, the word of God goes into the pagan world, goes into the world of the gods. 0.94

00:31:32.660 Basically, there's a clash.

00:31:33.960 That's why Christians were thrown to the lions in the first centuries, over the gods. 1.00

00:31:38.980 In the end, it prevails.

00:31:40.340 And the gods are, in a sense, it's the twilight of the gods.

00:31:43.560 The temples of Zeus are abandoned.

00:31:45.580 The shrines of Dionysus are gone.

00:31:47.660 But the thing is, if behind the gods are spirits, then what happened to the spirits?

00:31:52.660 Because the spirits don't die.

00:31:53.740 And to that, the final kind of piece to set it up is this clue that Jesus gives.

00:31:58.600 He gives this parable.

00:31:59.440 He says, when a spirit departs from a man, it goes looking for a place to dwell.

00:32:04.260 It doesn't find it.

00:32:04.920 It says, I'm going to go back to my house.

00:32:07.100 Talking about the guy.

00:32:08.100 It goes back to the man.

00:32:09.740 It finds the house, or this man's state.

00:32:12.640 Empty, swept clean.

00:32:14.100 Brings seven other spirits more evil than himself.

00:32:17.180 They repossess the man.

00:32:18.400 And Jesus said, the last state is worse than the first.

00:32:20.960 But what people miss when they hear this is that at the end, he says, so it will be with

00:32:25.440 this generation.

00:32:26.380 He's not talking about just a god.

00:32:28.220 So the warning is, an entire civilization can get possessed, can be delivered, and can

00:32:33.540 get repossessed.

00:32:34.500 And the warning to America, or the warning to the modern world, is that any civilization, 0.94

00:32:39.980 any nation, any culture that has been delivered of these things, like Western civilization has 0.57

00:32:45.620 been, and it turns away from God, empties itself of God.

00:32:49.560 The house is not going to stay empty.

00:32:51.940 Something else is going to come in.

00:32:53.640 And the spirits that were cast out of the house are coming back.

00:32:56.820 Or in other words, the gods will return.

00:32:59.120 And we want to understand what's been happening to America for the last half century or so.

00:33:03.780 And the West is that it is this.

00:33:06.380 We are witnessing a repossession.

00:33:08.600 We're witnessing a paganization. 0.56

00:33:11.080 You know, the spirits of the point is to turn a Christian nation, or a Judeo-Christian 0.93

00:33:15.940 nation, into a pagan one.

00:33:17.720 And you alluded to something, which is very profound, is that look what happened when Germany 0.82

00:33:23.400 turned away.

00:33:24.320 You know, it wasn't neutral.

00:33:26.840 It wasn't secular.

00:33:27.760 It was demonic.

00:33:28.860 Same with Russia. 0.61

00:33:29.740 So that's what's happening right now, and we're witnessing it.

00:33:32.420 So it's truly amazing.

00:33:34.340 You make such a good point, and you go through all the facts, and we have you for an hour.

00:33:38.420 So we're going to have you go through some of these things.

00:33:40.840 But what's really important to remember, the first commandment in the Torah, you know,

00:33:47.820 Christians will say, you know, I am, you know, the Lord thy God, and you'll have no other

00:33:52.000 gods before me, but in the Torah, it says, I'm the Lord, your God, who brought you out

00:33:56.300 of the land of Egypt, out of slavery.

00:33:58.960 And our founders believed we were completing that journey, and we made covenants.

00:34:06.260 So we cleaned out that house.

00:34:09.600 We were delivered from slavery, and now if you look at our society and you think, how

00:34:17.020 could we have in eight years gone from abortion should be rare, legal, and safe to shout your

00:34:25.280 abortion? 0.89

00:34:26.360 How can we go from a society that says, hey, love is love, and you should be able to marry

00:34:32.600 whoever you want, to drag queen shows with our preschoolers?

00:34:39.600 How does this happen?

00:34:41.240 The answer is, evil is real, and it has taken possession of this country.

00:34:49.220 Yeah, absolutely.

00:34:50.260 And when you look at the kind of the original test case, and you're alluding to it, I'm

00:34:54.960 more than alluding to it, it's Israel.

00:34:56.740 You know, Israel was in covenant with God, and when they turned away from God, it didn't

00:35:01.800 go well, and it was not neutral.

00:35:04.700 What happened is these principalities came into the land.

00:35:08.540 And they ended up doing exactly what, well, in other words, we're doing exactly what

00:35:12.960 they're doing.

00:35:13.560 We're replaying that.

00:35:14.880 You know, you mentioned the founders of America, John Winthrop.

00:35:18.320 You know, he dedicated America to God, this Puritan, and he said, we'll be as a city on

00:35:22.880 a hill.

00:35:23.260 He says, if we follow God, then the blessings that came on Israel will come upon America.

00:35:27.440 Well, it did.

00:35:28.180 You know, we became the greatest, most blessed nation.

00:35:30.860 But people forget what else he said.

00:35:33.340 He said, if we turn away from God, if we turn to, and he literally says, to other gods,

00:35:38.320 he says to the gods of our prophets, the gods of our desires, then the curses that came

00:35:43.940 on Israel are going to come upon us. 0.86

00:35:45.820 That is what we're dealing with, exactly what happened to ancient Israel. 0.74

00:35:49.140 In fact, not only exactly, but the same principalities that came to Israel when they turned away from

00:35:55.380 God have now come to America.

00:35:56.840 So we are replaying this ancient mystery.

00:35:59.440 And, you know, to much of the, when you don't deal with God, you just look at it, it just

00:36:03.460 doesn't make any sense.

00:36:04.740 But when you kind of take away the veil and see, it makes total sense.

00:36:09.260 So I was on this track for a while, and I'm so glad you wrote this book, because you taught

00:36:15.140 me so much.

00:36:16.400 And I think it's a book that everyone in this audience should read.

00:36:21.280 It's called Return of the Gods by Jonathan Cahn.

00:36:23.520 But I stumbled onto this about 2008, I was watching the Occupy Wall Street people, and

00:36:32.560 they started using excrement to smear on things.

00:36:36.560 And it became so barbaric at times, so ancient.

00:36:42.680 And I called a friend of mine, who I think you know, Rabbi Daniel Lappin, and I said, what's

00:36:48.800 happening here?

00:36:49.540 And he said, Glenn, this is ancient rituals.

00:36:54.900 This is the kind of things that happened in the ancient world, happened at the fall of

00:37:01.480 France, when they smeared excrement over everything. 0.96

00:37:06.160 And the more I look at, especially with our children, sacrificing our children, that was 0.97

00:37:13.260 important.

00:37:15.240 You talk about three gods.

00:37:18.300 Let's talk about the first one, which is Baal, I believe, is the first one for you. 0.99

00:37:23.740 Yes.

00:37:24.240 Yeah.

00:37:24.700 Yeah.

00:37:25.380 In the Return of the Gods, I call it the Dark Trinity.

00:37:27.680 And you know, when you look at the fall of Israel, when they turned away from God, there

00:37:31.960 are three main principalities, or three main gods that really embody the whole fall.

00:37:36.800 And the first one who's always mentioned, and you've mentioned him many times, the first

00:37:40.400 that you always mention first is Baal, and or Baal.

00:37:43.460 And the thing is that the name means literally, you know, I call him the possessor, because

00:37:47.440 that's what the name means.

00:37:48.180 It means the possessor, the owner, the master, and the Lord.

00:37:52.440 And so the thing is, he's the first, again, he's almost like that spirit that, when Jesus

00:37:57.080 speaks about that first spirit that comes back to the house.

00:37:59.740 So this is what Baal did to ancient Israel, is a few things. 0.61

00:38:03.940 One, it said, once the door was opened, he began, the spirit began to drive God out of

00:38:09.960 every part of the culture.

00:38:11.860 Every part.

00:38:12.640 And that's exactly what's been happening to America.

00:38:15.320 And you know, when you look at the early 60s, we opened the door.

00:38:18.300 You know, we said, we're going to take prayer out of school, we're going to take the word 1.00

00:38:21.860 out of the kingdom.

00:38:22.560 Well, it's a little thing, not a big deal.

00:38:24.560 It was a real big thing.

00:38:25.620 It's a real big deal, because you're taking God from the children, which is the future,

00:38:30.060 it's going to set the course.

00:38:31.520 And you know, the law of Jesus in this, the parable, is that the house, you empty the

00:38:37.300 house, the house is not going to stay empty.

00:38:39.520 So you know, we took God out of the school, we took God from the children, look at what

00:38:43.500 has now come into the schools.

00:38:45.300 Look at what has now come into the children, because it's not going to stay empty.

00:38:49.900 And so what Baal does, we've been watching this progressive, driving God out of the house 0.59

00:38:55.440 of American civilization and the West.

00:38:57.420 And that is a dangerous thing for any nation, any Christian nation to do that, or Judeo-Christian 1.00

00:39:02.600 nation, this is going to, something else is coming in.

00:39:05.520 So you have the progressive driving out of God, out of the culture, out of the public

00:39:09.200 square.

00:39:09.920 Or then, also it says that Baal caused Israel to forget God.

00:39:14.960 It's like an amnesia comes over the culture.

00:39:17.340 Well, that's exactly what's happened to America.

00:39:19.420 You know, when you look back, before the 60s, you had an America where actually the public

00:39:23.700 school teachers are leading the children in the Lord's Prayer, we can hardly imagine that

00:39:28.760 now.

00:39:29.040 Because it has been so successful, we've not only forgotten God, we've forgotten that we

00:39:33.140 ever knew God.

00:39:33.980 You know, that's what happened to Israel. 0.99

00:39:35.720 And then, it also says he caused them to overturn or abandon the ways of God.

00:39:40.680 Well, we've been watching that progressively happen.

00:39:43.260 We literally, it literally caused us to literally strike down the Ten Commandments.

00:39:47.160 And it's not only in these, I would say, overt ways, but also in very, in ways we don't

00:39:52.160 even realize.

00:39:53.000 For instance, you know, with monotheism, you have one God, you've got one truth.

00:39:57.280 You know, with paganism, you have many gods and many truths.

00:40:00.940 So all of a sudden, there's this thing in our culture that it's your own authentic truth.

00:40:06.060 You know, if a man says, I'm not a man, I'm a tree, well, then that's his authentic truth.

00:40:10.300 You know, that's not enlightenment, that's paganism.

00:40:12.920 You know, and another thing we wouldn't think about, but the Bible says that when they turned

00:40:18.080 away from God, when they turned to Baal, they started serving the works of their hands. 0.96

00:40:22.700 They served their idols.

00:40:23.700 You know, they become enslaved to their idols.

00:40:26.340 Well, interesting, because when Paul, the Apostle Paul, speaks about the pagan world and

00:40:31.500 the idols, he uses the Greek word technē.

00:40:34.040 We get the word technology from it.

00:40:36.120 So here we are now, we have become slaves to our own technology.

00:40:40.140 We literally, you know, people are enslaved, a whole generation is enslaved to their phones,

00:40:44.780 to the computer, and it says that they become like the ones that they're idols.

00:40:48.740 They become like, so we have a generation becoming less and less human. 0.56

00:40:52.540 You know, we have, that one is just addicted to this, and while our machines become more

00:40:57.740 human, start taking more power, we literally have artificial intelligence that can now master

00:41:02.540 us.

00:41:02.980 So in every single way, this is a process of paganization.

00:41:07.080 And when it comes to becoming more like our master, we're now talking about transhumanism.

00:41:13.280 Oh, yeah.

00:41:13.780 We're now talking about merging man with machine, and that's five years away.

00:41:18.940 Yep.

00:41:19.460 Yeah.

00:41:19.860 And this is, you know, this is also part of it, Glenn.

00:41:22.640 You know, we have transhumanism, we have the merging of man and machine, we have the

00:41:25.980 merging of man and animal.

00:41:27.600 And when you look at the, you know, when you look at the ancient, ancient paganism, you see

00:41:31.780 that's exactly what they did.

00:41:32.780 Number one is they put, you know, they had images of man and animal.

00:41:36.940 Many of these gods are merging it.

00:41:38.800 Well, we're doing the same thing now, not with clay, but with the genetic code.

00:41:43.020 You know, and also, you know, the person was basically, was linked to his, there's confusion

00:41:47.540 in paganism between, you know, image and reality, and, you know, and basically the idol and god.

00:41:54.120 So, yeah, so we merge, we're merging ourselves with our works, with our, and also even we

00:42:00.080 have virtual reality.

00:42:01.080 We're confusing, we can't even, we don't even have a clear concept of reality anymore.

00:42:05.320 This is all paganism. 0.57

00:42:06.940 Okay.

00:42:07.240 It's all the revival.

00:42:08.120 Na, na, na, na, na.
