00:00:00.000 So, Stu, back in the studio with you. It's nice and cool in here.
00:00:05.540 Had a great podcast, right?
00:00:07.520 Oh!
00:00:08.220 What's coming up?
00:00:08.820 The temperature is perfect in this room, as always, when you're here.
00:00:12.300 And welcome back.
00:00:13.220 Yeah.
00:00:13.520 After months on the road.
00:00:15.080 Yes.
00:00:15.440 Glenn Beck is back in town for today.
00:00:16.920 And a good show to start with.
00:00:19.420 Today we had Kerry Lake on, governor of, or wants to be the governor of Arizona.
00:00:25.420 We also had James Lindsay on.
00:00:27.680 And he is one of the smarter guys I know.
00:00:31.520 Came from academia, was a real leftist, and then saw what was happening and realized,
00:00:38.060 I am on the wrong side.
00:00:39.960 He just has been permanently banned from Twitter.
00:00:42.760 He makes a very good case on today's program of what Twitter is actually endorsing and doing
00:00:47.660 and what it means to all of us.
00:00:50.880 Also, we went over the new big climate bill.
00:00:53.460 People say that, you know, I'm generally for it, 51%.
00:01:00.180 I haven't seen a poll yet of asking Americans, do you know what's in the bill?
00:01:05.160 This is going to be game-changing for America.
00:01:08.720 87,000 new IRS agents to enforce the green bill.
00:01:15.800 This, we will explain, and you will understand why we're in a different America as soon as
00:01:25.140 this bill goes through and they hire those IRS agents.
00:01:30.800 Now, here's something amazing.
00:01:32.400 Tons of Americans out there still don't know it's possible to use your retirement account
00:01:36.320 to acquire precious metals, that they could be saving up for retirement, also building
00:01:42.000 a protective wall against inflation and other forms of economic insanity that pop up from
00:01:46.880 time to time or every five minutes now.
00:01:49.500 It's a really big deal, and it's something that Goldline can help you with right now.
00:01:54.000 I've been working with Goldline for, gosh, 15 years, and that's because I trust them.
00:01:58.900 They do business the right way.
00:02:00.540 I've seen it for myself.
00:02:01.540 I was a customer of theirs years before they were a customer of mine, so I don't want you
00:02:06.940 to assume, you know, that I've done my homework and what I say is absolutely, you know, gospel.
00:02:11.780 I need you to do your own homework, too.
00:02:14.140 You find out.
00:02:15.340 Give them a call today.
00:02:16.660 Time's not on any of our sides.
00:02:19.480 Contact Goldline today.
00:02:20.600 Tell them Glenn sent you from the podcast and give Goldline the code MYB, which represents
00:02:27.140 the Mind Your Business silver bar that they'll give you just as a thank you for calling in.
00:02:32.380 Request information at their website, goldline.com, or call 866-GOLDLINE, 866-GOLDLINE, or goldline.com.
00:02:40.380 Just for calling in, say, Glenn sent you from the podcast MYB is the promo code, and they'll
00:02:45.840 send that silver bar to you for free just thanking you for calling in.
00:02:50.180 Do it now.
00:02:50.700 Goldline.com.
00:02:51.800 You're listening to The Best of the Glenn Beck Program.
00:03:06.940 Well, Stu, nice to be here.
00:03:09.500 You are back.
00:03:10.420 Good to see you.
00:03:11.120 Glenn Beck, back in Texas.
00:03:12.420 Yes.
00:03:13.040 Good to see you.
00:03:13.680 Good to see you as well.
00:03:14.320 Yeah, thank you.
00:03:15.160 I flew in on Saturday so I could be here for the CPAC speech.
00:03:20.800 How'd it go?
00:03:21.960 It went really well.
00:03:23.060 I saw the president, and he is...
00:03:26.480 Biden was there.
00:03:27.100 Wow, that's amazing.
00:03:28.100 No, I saw the real president, Donald Trump.
00:03:31.000 He was on fire, and I think he...
00:03:37.180 Well, he's clearly running, but I think he really gets it.
00:03:40.260 But he also is still really pissed, really pissed about the last election.
00:03:46.800 That was not on his teleprompter, but he did mention it a couple of times.
00:03:51.980 Really?
00:03:52.760 Yeah.
00:03:53.060 And I kind of go back and forth because I can see how personal it is to him, and that bothers
00:03:58.880 me.
00:03:59.440 But then again, it kind of makes me happy because I know he'll make cleaning out that hornet's
00:04:05.200 nest top priority.
00:04:07.020 And that has to be done.
00:04:09.240 Because look at what's happening now.
00:04:11.480 We...
00:04:12.100 If we don't collapse the size of this government soon, it will become an oppressor.
00:04:19.860 Yesterday, or over the weekend, the Senate passed the $740 billion climate and healthcare
00:04:28.000 reconciliation package.
00:04:29.980 Now, just remember, $700 billion was the size of the TARP, Obama...
00:04:38.300 Yeah, the first Obama stimulus package.
00:04:41.520 And we all had a cow that it was $700 billion.
00:04:45.260 We thought that was outrageous.
00:04:47.380 This is $740 billion just on climate and, quote, healthcare.
00:04:54.780 But is it?
00:04:56.480 Let me give you some information on this.
00:04:59.980 It passed.
00:05:01.480 The bill includes $370 billion in green energy subsidies.
00:05:07.040 Now, do you remember how well the green energy subsidies happened last time when Obama was
00:05:13.860 in?
00:05:14.520 Aren't we just making money hand over fist with all of those great investments that we
00:05:19.940 made under Obama?
00:05:21.500 I'm a billionaire because of my investment in Solyndra.
00:05:23.960 Right?
00:05:24.320 Really?
00:05:24.660 Are you?
00:05:24.900 Because it's just worked out so well.
00:05:26.480 Yeah.
00:05:26.800 Is it because of inflation?
00:05:27.940 Because I think that went out.
00:05:29.640 I think that went out of business.
00:05:31.200 No.
00:05:32.320 Now, here is the key to this bill.
00:05:37.140 $80 billion.
00:05:39.120 Now, remember, $370.
00:05:40.860 This is the biggest thing ever.
00:05:42.720 This has got to be done because we're all going to die in a fiery flood.
00:05:50.520 $370 billion and $80 billion is for the IRS.
00:05:57.480 Now, I want you to listen to what they say, and you'll read it over and over and over again.
00:06:04.520 It's the Internal Revenue Service.
00:06:05.520 It's the Internal Revenue Service for enforcement.
00:06:11.200 Now, enforcement.
00:06:13.440 Do we have that many greedy billionaires that just aren't paying their taxes?
00:06:18.240 I'd like to know.
00:06:20.200 Do we have that many billionaires that don't have enough money for really good attorneys to read the law?
00:06:29.460 That you're going to need 87,000 new IRS agents?
00:06:37.240 That doesn't seem to compute at all, does it?
00:06:43.180 Now, by the way, they're saying that it's going to reduce inflation.
00:06:46.720 It's not going to reduce inflation.
00:06:48.380 If it does, and this is the honest-to-God truth, it may reduce inflation.
00:06:56.240 Why?
00:06:56.920 Because it's going to hurt you so badly that you won't be able to buy things.
00:07:05.640 Remember, too much money chasing too few goods.
00:07:10.120 So if you can't make the goods, you've got to reduce the money chasing it.
00:07:16.880 That means they've got to slow you down at the store.
00:07:21.720 And that is exactly what this bill will do.
00:07:25.100 But because the government is going to be spending so much more money,
00:07:29.180 I don't think it's going to reduce inflation at all.
00:07:32.800 In fact, I think it's going to make inflation worse.
00:07:35.820 But your life is going to become much more tough.
00:07:41.520 Now, I want to give you some perspective on this.
00:07:43.920 First of all, the American people, just see how out of touch the American people,
00:07:50.100 the Washington is compared to the American people.
00:07:53.700 Just 12% of the new Economist YouGov poll,
00:08:01.320 12% of people think that this will actually reduce inflation.
00:08:06.620 The other hand, three times as many, 36%, believe it will actually increase inflation.
00:08:13.660 23% say they don't think the bill will move inflation either way,
00:08:17.120 and only 29% say they're unsure.
00:08:21.240 Now, this bill is climate and inflation reduction.
00:08:27.880 You don't believe that it's actually going to reduce inflation.
00:08:32.640 They didn't ask if you think it would actually help the green movement and protect the earth.
00:08:40.660 But they did ask this.
00:08:45.380 Do you believe it will lower inflation?
00:08:52.020 Average respondent?
00:08:54.080 No.
00:08:54.760 51%.
00:08:55.720 No.
00:08:57.600 But do you support the bill?
00:09:00.340 31% said they strongly oppose or somewhat oppose the bill.
00:09:08.860 The rest agreed with it.
00:09:12.740 So who's confused here?
00:09:15.580 You don't believe in it, but you support it.
00:09:20.000 Now, I'm not talking about you personally, but I'm talking about the American people.
00:09:23.100 How is that possible?
00:09:26.700 That is because we still believe that our government, somehow or another,
00:09:32.640 there's still enough people believe that our government or your personal guy in Congress or in the Senate
00:09:38.940 is doing the right thing.
00:09:40.800 I don't know how this is working.
00:09:44.240 Well, I do.
00:09:45.920 They didn't ask another question in that poll.
00:09:49.080 Do you actually know what's in it?
00:09:53.100 I can guarantee you most people don't know what's in it.
00:09:57.860 But let me give you a couple of things.
00:09:59.780 And let's start with a big one.
00:10:01.320 The Inflation Reduction Act will give the IRS $80 billion in additional funding.
00:10:10.960 So you know that's a 600% increase of their budget.
00:10:19.120 600%.
00:10:19.680 They will hire as many as 87,000 additional employees for enforcement.
00:10:32.340 The increase would more than double the size of the IRS workforce,
00:10:37.620 which currently has 78,661 full-time staffers.
00:10:43.780 So they have 78,000.
00:10:46.080 They're adding an additional 87,000.
00:10:52.840 To give you some perspective,
00:10:56.760 the Pentagon,
00:10:58.940 you know how many people work at the Pentagon?
00:11:00.460 You know,
00:11:00.640 a huge building that goes on and on and on.
00:11:03.240 Pentagon,
00:11:04.060 world's largest military.
00:11:05.920 The Pentagon houses 27,000 employees.
00:11:11.920 27,000.
00:11:15.840 We're talking over 160,000 IRS agents.
00:11:21.260 The State Department employs 77,243.
00:11:29.600 The FBI has 35,000 people.
00:11:33.900 The Customs and Border Patrol employs 19,536 Border Patrol agents.
00:11:40.560 This will make the IRS bigger than all of those agencies combined.
00:11:51.440 Now are you for this act?
00:11:53.640 It's a little too late.
00:11:56.640 But are you now for this act?
00:11:59.740 This is going to be staggering.
00:12:03.560 And here's where it really will impact you.
00:12:08.540 In the bill,
00:12:09.920 in fact,
00:12:10.340 I want to page,
00:12:11.440 page 529 of the inflation,
00:12:14.620 inflation reduction act.
00:12:16.000 It will pay,
00:12:19.120 pay,
00:12:21.280 farmers
00:12:21.960 to not farm.
00:12:25.600 They want,
00:12:27.080 they want to restore the soil.
00:12:31.740 So,
00:12:32.340 the measures will include
00:12:33.680 plowing your soil less,
00:12:36.580 implementing climate-friendly crop rotation techniques,
00:12:40.100 and planting cover crops
00:12:42.240 that do not yield any food.
00:12:46.000 there's $20 billion
00:12:49.460 available
00:12:50.980 September 30th now
00:12:52.880 to diminish the climate
00:12:55.100 impact
00:12:57.100 from farms.
00:12:59.620 They are going to start paying farmers
00:13:01.920 not to farm.
00:13:03.960 And then you'll be fine.
00:13:06.540 They're also
00:13:07.460 going to now,
00:13:09.280 I would like to say,
00:13:10.600 encourage you.
00:13:12.440 But what they're going to do
00:13:14.040 to the farmers
00:13:14.680 is tell them
00:13:15.940 exactly how
00:13:17.360 they can farm.
00:13:18.760 They're going to tell them now,
00:13:20.580 just like they are
00:13:21.620 over in Europe,
00:13:22.500 where the farmers
00:13:23.620 are going out of business
00:13:25.540 and on the streets
00:13:27.220 protesting.
00:13:28.520 They are now
00:13:29.580 going to tell them
00:13:30.760 that they have to
00:13:31.980 adopt more climate-friendly
00:13:34.260 provisions.
00:13:36.060 They are going to regulate
00:13:37.620 what you can feed your cow.
00:13:39.400 they're going to
00:13:42.080 they're going to
00:13:44.680 also tell you
00:13:46.060 what you can grow,
00:13:47.640 how you grow it,
00:13:49.400 what you can use
00:13:50.860 as fertilizer.
00:13:53.140 And
00:13:53.780 the fertilizer
00:13:55.580 that we're all used to,
00:13:57.180 you know,
00:13:57.400 the one that grows
00:13:58.260 one-third
00:13:59.820 more
00:14:00.920 than the old fertilizer,
00:14:04.000 you're not going to be able
00:14:05.480 to use that.
00:14:06.120 Now,
00:14:07.660 we're entering
00:14:08.240 a global food
00:14:09.500 crisis.
00:14:11.600 Farmers all around
00:14:12.500 the world
00:14:12.920 are going in
00:14:13.620 on this nonsense.
00:14:15.400 It's not working
00:14:16.820 all around the world.
00:14:18.620 And we've just
00:14:19.920 implemented it.
00:14:21.580 And we're hiring
00:14:22.940 87,000
00:14:24.700 new IRS
00:14:25.620 agents
00:14:26.260 to make sure
00:14:27.900 you comply.
00:14:30.100 Well,
00:14:30.640 this doesn't have anything
00:14:31.260 to do with the taxes.
00:14:32.540 Oh, yeah,
00:14:32.780 it does
00:14:33.380 because you will
00:14:34.320 be getting subsidies.
00:14:36.560 Oh, yes,
00:14:37.000 it does
00:14:37.560 because you'll have
00:14:38.920 an ESG score
00:14:40.260 if you're a farmer.
00:14:42.760 This is going
00:14:43.740 to devastate
00:14:45.160 our farms.
00:14:45.960 Have you ever
00:14:46.980 noticed
00:14:47.580 that whenever
00:14:48.620 communists
00:14:49.500 take over,
00:14:50.980 the first thing
00:14:52.040 they do
00:14:52.620 is
00:14:52.980 kill
00:14:54.040 usually
00:14:54.660 everybody
00:14:55.260 who disagrees
00:14:56.000 with them.
00:14:57.140 They take out
00:14:58.320 anybody who is
00:14:59.160 ever successful
00:15:00.280 at something.
00:15:01.320 look at the
00:15:02.700 difference
00:15:03.080 between
00:15:03.600 GM
00:15:04.500 and
00:15:06.060 Elon Musk.
00:15:08.200 Look at the
00:15:09.160 difference
00:15:09.600 between what
00:15:10.380 he's building
00:15:11.280 and what all
00:15:11.980 these other
00:15:12.460 guys have been
00:15:13.120 building.
00:15:14.000 The guy's
00:15:14.580 building a
00:15:15.000 spaceship to
00:15:15.700 Mars.
00:15:16.740 The guy has
00:15:17.420 transformed
00:15:18.240 the automobile
00:15:19.200 and yet
00:15:20.500 he's on the
00:15:21.380 outs.
00:15:22.280 They're coming
00:15:22.760 after him.
00:15:23.940 I can guarantee
00:15:24.820 you some of
00:15:25.580 those 87,000
00:15:26.720 IRS agents
00:15:27.560 are just
00:15:28.580 going to work
00:15:29.400 on Elon
00:15:30.360 Musk and
00:15:30.980 his
00:15:31.140 companies.
00:15:33.380 So they
00:15:34.020 first come
00:15:34.520 after anybody
00:15:35.160 who is a
00:15:35.680 capitalist,
00:15:36.320 anybody who
00:15:36.700 disagrees with
00:15:37.340 them.
00:15:37.540 Anyone can
00:15:38.120 do anything.
00:15:39.940 They get
00:15:40.640 rid of them
00:15:41.140 if they
00:15:41.420 can't
00:15:41.700 co-opt
00:15:42.100 them.
00:15:43.120 Then they
00:15:43.780 go after
00:15:44.220 the farmers
00:15:44.780 and then
00:15:46.000 when there's
00:15:46.380 a problem
00:15:46.840 with the
00:15:47.240 farmers,
00:15:47.820 they then
00:15:48.780 kill the
00:15:49.340 farmers or
00:15:50.060 take their
00:15:50.480 land away
00:15:51.100 and say
00:15:51.620 you're not
00:15:52.040 doing it
00:15:52.520 right.
00:15:54.060 Well,
00:15:54.680 because
00:15:55.260 farmers
00:15:56.060 have farmed
00:15:57.680 for generations.
00:15:58.780 They know
00:16:00.060 the things
00:16:00.760 that they
00:16:01.160 have to
00:16:01.680 do.
00:16:02.100 It's not
00:16:02.440 like farmers
00:16:03.220 don't know
00:16:03.860 to rest
00:16:04.320 their land
00:16:05.060 or to
00:16:05.440 change their
00:16:07.260 crops.
00:16:08.240 Of course
00:16:08.760 they know
00:16:09.260 that.
00:16:10.400 They're
00:16:10.680 farmers.
00:16:13.740 Now we
00:16:14.480 have eggheads
00:16:15.180 coming in
00:16:15.700 and it
00:16:16.100 happens every
00:16:17.220 time.
00:16:17.940 Communists
00:16:18.420 take control.
00:16:19.680 That's why
00:16:20.060 people end
00:16:20.620 up eating
00:16:21.060 the zoo
00:16:21.460 animals and
00:16:22.100 then their
00:16:22.400 dogs.
00:16:22.740 this is
00:16:26.300 really
00:16:27.580 very
00:16:28.720 dangerous.
00:16:29.860 Oh,
00:16:30.060 by the
00:16:30.340 way,
00:16:30.940 in
00:16:32.960 Europe,
00:16:34.060 they're
00:16:34.360 already to
00:16:35.060 the next
00:16:35.540 phase.
00:16:36.160 The first
00:16:36.620 phase was
00:16:37.200 saying the
00:16:39.140 climate has
00:16:39.840 to be
00:16:40.100 controlled and
00:16:41.240 we have to
00:16:41.700 control it
00:16:42.200 through the
00:16:42.600 farmers.
00:16:43.300 The farmers
00:16:44.100 then start
00:16:44.900 to collapse.
00:16:45.900 The farmers
00:16:46.320 then start
00:16:47.120 to take to
00:16:47.640 the streets
00:16:48.180 and say
00:16:48.520 this is
00:16:49.000 insanity.
00:16:50.560 Well,
00:16:50.680 the next
00:16:51.020 phase is
00:16:51.600 because no
00:16:52.400 one knows
00:16:53.200 where their
00:16:53.700 food comes
00:16:54.540 from or
00:16:55.160 how to
00:16:55.620 grow it.
00:16:56.700 The next
00:16:57.380 phase is
00:16:58.140 already
00:16:58.560 happening.
00:16:59.800 The anti-farm
00:17:01.080 sentiment is
00:17:02.100 growing now
00:17:02.860 in Europe.
00:17:04.100 You watch.
00:17:05.320 The farmers
00:17:05.980 are going to
00:17:06.860 get a
00:17:07.620 really bad
00:17:08.780 name and
00:17:10.500 the farmers
00:17:11.160 are going to
00:17:11.880 be blamed for
00:17:12.860 the food
00:17:13.280 shortages.
00:17:14.560 You watch.
00:17:15.300 I guarantee
00:17:15.980 it.
00:17:16.940 It's already
00:17:17.860 happening in
00:17:18.700 Europe.
00:17:19.760 So now
00:17:20.180 people are
00:17:20.840 taking to
00:17:21.360 the streets
00:17:21.940 and saying
00:17:23.100 it's these
00:17:23.560 farmers that
00:17:24.420 are at
00:17:24.720 fault.
00:17:27.680 This story
00:17:29.000 repeats itself
00:17:30.420 over and
00:17:31.320 over again
00:17:32.240 until human
00:17:33.840 beings learn
00:17:35.040 the lesson.
00:17:36.880 The question
00:17:38.000 is,
00:17:38.400 America,
00:17:39.020 will we
00:17:40.180 learn the
00:17:41.080 lesson this
00:17:42.080 time?
00:17:43.980 It's amazing
00:17:45.060 because on
00:17:45.460 some of these
00:17:45.880 things,
00:17:46.420 we're behind.
00:17:48.060 We have the
00:17:49.180 results from
00:17:49.880 Europe and
00:17:51.000 we're still
00:17:51.820 doing it.
00:17:57.060 This is the
00:17:58.140 best of the
00:17:58.920 Glenn Beck
00:17:59.240 program.
00:17:59.700 I'm going to
00:18:07.620 start playing a
00:18:08.160 new game on
00:18:08.720 the program.
00:18:09.580 I don't know.
00:18:10.380 I haven't
00:18:11.220 named it yet,
00:18:11.880 but I was
00:18:12.140 thinking,
00:18:12.480 Stu, what do
00:18:12.840 you think of
00:18:13.280 you remember
00:18:14.400 the show?
00:18:14.800 What's my
00:18:15.220 line?
00:18:17.440 Yes.
00:18:17.840 Yeah.
00:18:18.040 Game show on
00:18:18.640 TV.
00:18:19.000 No idea how it
00:18:19.820 even worked or
00:18:20.420 what it was
00:18:20.780 about.
00:18:21.080 I just
00:18:21.340 remember the
00:18:21.920 name.
00:18:22.240 What's my
00:18:22.580 line?
00:18:23.340 Okay.
00:18:23.600 So what's
00:18:24.080 my line?
00:18:25.320 I think it
00:18:25.980 should be
00:18:26.200 what's my
00:18:26.720 line or
00:18:27.140 yeah,
00:18:29.280 what's my
00:18:29.680 line?
00:18:30.500 What's my
00:18:30.820 line?
00:18:31.840 Do you
00:18:32.460 draw the
00:18:33.040 line anywhere?
00:18:35.800 Anywhere?
00:18:36.320 What's your
00:18:36.660 line?
00:18:37.260 What's your
00:18:37.540 line?
00:18:38.200 Because I got
00:18:38.760 a couple of
00:18:39.220 them that are
00:18:39.500 past my
00:18:40.020 line.
00:18:40.300 For instance,
00:18:41.540 Jalen Rose,
00:18:44.000 you know who
00:18:44.500 that is?
00:18:46.080 ESPN,
00:18:47.240 I don't know.
00:18:48.060 Analyst.
00:18:48.640 Analyst.
00:18:49.340 Does whatever.
00:18:50.100 He says that
00:18:52.540 he's making
00:18:53.280 his mission to
00:18:54.320 cancel the
00:18:55.020 term Mount
00:18:56.580 Rushmore because
00:18:57.860 he says Mount
00:18:58.700 Rushmore is
00:18:59.940 just offensive.
00:19:01.500 Stu,
00:19:02.660 what's your
00:19:04.520 line?
00:19:05.960 Is that
00:19:06.240 beyond it or
00:19:06.920 my line there
00:19:08.700 is no.
00:19:09.600 Yeah.
00:19:10.000 Yeah.
00:19:10.540 Me too.
00:19:11.100 Not.
00:19:11.740 I'm not
00:19:12.200 canceling.
00:19:12.640 Okay.
00:19:12.960 No.
00:19:13.300 Mars Wrigley,
00:19:14.320 the company
00:19:14.720 that predict
00:19:15.300 produces
00:19:15.940 Snickers,
00:19:16.660 issued an
00:19:17.920 apology to
00:19:19.600 China on
00:19:20.560 Friday after
00:19:21.960 suggesting that
00:19:23.120 Taiwan is an
00:19:24.300 independent
00:19:24.820 country.
00:19:26.160 Stu,
00:19:26.800 you're a
00:19:27.080 Snickers
00:19:27.420 executive.
00:19:28.180 They come
00:19:28.480 in to you
00:19:28.960 and say,
00:19:29.500 Stu,
00:19:30.640 what's your
00:19:31.080 line?
00:19:32.080 No.
00:19:32.840 No.
00:19:33.480 No.
00:19:33.860 We're not
00:19:34.320 apologizing to
00:19:35.480 China for
00:19:36.200 calling a
00:19:36.680 country a
00:19:37.300 country.
00:19:37.860 Thank you.
00:19:38.240 Thank you.
00:19:38.760 Thank you.
00:19:39.220 Thank you.
00:19:39.800 How about
00:19:40.100 this one?
00:19:40.480 Now,
00:19:40.660 I had a
00:19:41.160 really hard
00:19:42.020 time even
00:19:42.700 understanding
00:19:43.580 this story
00:19:44.180 because it
00:19:45.900 gets very
00:19:46.580 confusing.
00:19:47.720 Okay.
00:19:48.120 If you have
00:19:49.000 children,
00:19:49.740 you might
00:19:50.080 want,
00:19:50.500 I'm going
00:19:50.820 to be
00:19:51.420 talking about
00:19:52.140 an anatomically
00:19:53.380 correct thing
00:19:56.040 because it's
00:19:58.680 important that
00:19:59.260 you hear the
00:19:59.720 story as
00:20:00.300 written.
00:20:01.060 So you're
00:20:02.020 forewarned
00:20:02.640 here.
00:20:03.860 Do you mind
00:20:04.420 if I take
00:20:04.740 notes on
00:20:05.140 this?
00:20:05.400 Because I
00:20:05.600 read it
00:20:08.000 to Stu
00:20:08.400 right before
00:20:08.980 and he
00:20:09.200 was like,
00:20:09.540 wait a
00:20:09.720 minute,
00:20:09.980 who?
00:20:10.560 What?
00:20:11.560 Okay.
00:20:12.180 An 80-year-old
00:20:13.020 Washington state
00:20:13.820 woman has
00:20:14.760 been banned
00:20:15.380 from using
00:20:16.020 her local
00:20:16.720 YMCA's
00:20:17.600 pool after
00:20:18.920 she expressed
00:20:19.600 discomfort
00:20:20.160 with a
00:20:20.660 biological
00:20:21.200 male in
00:20:22.160 the women's
00:20:22.800 locker room
00:20:23.540 as young
00:20:24.500 girls were
00:20:25.240 undressing.
00:20:26.200 She was in
00:20:27.440 the shower
00:20:27.980 when she
00:20:28.600 heard a
00:20:29.200 male voice
00:20:30.060 peeked out
00:20:31.080 to find a
00:20:31.760 biological
00:20:32.300 male in
00:20:33.240 a women's
00:20:33.860 swimsuit
00:20:34.540 engaging with
00:20:35.620 little girls
00:20:36.360 who were
00:20:36.840 undressing.
00:20:38.480 Got it?
00:20:39.360 This seems
00:20:39.980 like a
00:20:40.580 heroic
00:20:41.060 story of
00:20:42.100 a woman
00:20:42.620 protecting
00:20:43.380 children
00:20:43.900 against
00:20:44.500 a male
00:20:45.660 in the
00:20:46.080 women's
00:20:46.620 bathroom.
00:20:47.120 Correct.
00:20:47.580 Correct.
00:20:47.960 That's not
00:20:48.720 what the
00:20:49.100 story is.
00:20:49.660 No,
00:20:49.920 it's not.
00:20:50.240 The
00:20:50.700 biological
00:20:51.260 male was
00:20:56.380 reportedly
00:20:57.140 with the
00:20:58.100 girls from
00:20:58.820 the day
00:20:59.240 camp
00:20:59.660 overseeing
00:21:00.560 their
00:21:00.840 bathroom
00:21:01.540 activities.
00:21:03.080 Now,
00:21:03.760 my first
00:21:04.260 question comes
00:21:04.960 in,
00:21:05.400 you don't
00:21:05.960 have a
00:21:06.700 woman that
00:21:07.360 could do
00:21:07.700 that?
00:21:08.080 Wait,
00:21:08.880 so the
00:21:09.180 biological
00:21:09.940 male
00:21:10.420 worked
00:21:11.440 at the
00:21:12.540 YMCA
00:21:13.360 and he's
00:21:14.880 at the
00:21:15.220 girls
00:21:15.820 camp,
00:21:16.520 the day
00:21:16.840 camp.
00:21:17.220 And the
00:21:17.460 job they
00:21:18.080 gave the
00:21:18.980 biological
00:21:19.560 male
00:21:20.160 was
00:21:20.580 overseeing
00:21:21.240 their
00:21:21.440 bathroom
00:21:21.840 activities.
00:21:23.300 They
00:21:23.940 couldn't have
00:21:26.420 selected
00:21:26.940 any other
00:21:28.080 employee.
00:21:28.900 No,
00:21:29.180 you'd be
00:21:29.620 sexist
00:21:30.400 and a
00:21:31.080 bigot.
00:21:31.420 Got it.
00:21:31.740 Okay.
00:21:32.080 He was
00:21:32.940 overseeing
00:21:33.600 their
00:21:33.780 bathroom
00:21:34.160 activities.
00:21:35.360 Addressing
00:21:35.760 the Port
00:21:36.160 Townsend
00:21:36.520 City
00:21:36.740 Council on
00:21:37.280 Monday,
00:21:37.660 Julie
00:21:38.200 Jamin,
00:21:38.900 that is
00:21:39.460 the 80
00:21:40.360 year old
00:21:40.840 Julie
00:21:41.480 Jamin.
00:21:42.620 Okay.
00:21:43.240 Resident
00:21:43.660 of Port
00:21:44.100 Townsend
00:21:44.540 about 40
00:21:45.140 years,
00:21:45.460 described
00:21:45.760 the situation
00:21:46.480 she had
00:21:47.340 been in
00:21:47.840 after her
00:21:48.340 regular swim
00:21:49.120 at the
00:21:49.560 Mountain
00:21:49.800 Valley
00:21:50.120 pool.
00:21:50.920 In an
00:21:51.780 effort
00:21:52.260 by the
00:21:53.400 city and
00:21:53.760 the YMCA
00:21:54.320 to apply
00:21:55.040 the
00:21:55.300 neocultural
00:21:56.060 gender
00:21:56.540 rules at
00:21:57.420 Mountain
00:21:57.840 View
00:21:58.200 pool
00:21:58.660 dressing
00:21:59.080 what?
00:21:59.900 The
00:21:59.960 neocultural
00:22:01.180 gender
00:22:02.620 rules?
00:22:03.620 This is
00:22:03.880 the 80
00:22:05.120 year old
00:22:05.460 saying this.
00:22:06.040 At
00:22:07.340 Mountain
00:22:07.660 View
00:22:07.860 pool
00:22:08.180 dressing
00:22:08.580 shower
00:22:08.900 room
00:22:09.800 facilities,
00:22:10.900 women and
00:22:11.440 children are
00:22:11.880 being put
00:22:12.280 at risk.
00:22:13.580 Jamin also
00:22:14.180 said she
00:22:14.720 had been
00:22:15.020 showering
00:22:15.500 after her
00:22:15.980 July 26
00:22:16.700 swim at
00:22:17.400 the pool
00:22:17.780 when she
00:22:18.520 heard a
00:22:18.860 man's
00:22:19.220 voice in
00:22:19.660 the women's
00:22:20.140 dressing area.
00:22:20.840 She said
00:22:21.360 she saw
00:22:21.900 a man
00:22:22.360 in a
00:22:22.720 women's
00:22:23.080 swimsuit
00:22:23.580 watching
00:22:24.300 little
00:22:24.700 girls pull
00:22:25.480 down their
00:22:25.880 bathing
00:22:26.180 suits in
00:22:26.820 order to
00:22:27.280 use the
00:22:27.680 toilets in
00:22:28.240 the dressing
00:22:28.640 room.
00:22:29.620 In an
00:22:30.000 email from
00:22:30.640 the YMCA's
00:22:31.480 marketing and
00:22:32.700 communications
00:22:33.320 manager to
00:22:34.300 the post
00:22:34.900 millennial,
00:22:35.880 they said
00:22:36.560 that the
00:22:36.940 staff member
00:22:37.660 was not
00:22:38.460 engaging with
00:22:39.520 these little
00:22:40.000 girls,
00:22:40.600 but rather
00:22:41.140 escorting them
00:22:42.900 to the
00:22:43.360 dressing room.
00:22:45.060 Okay,
00:22:45.400 so he was
00:22:45.840 just standing
00:22:46.600 there looking
00:22:47.220 at them,
00:22:48.640 waiting for
00:22:49.140 them,
00:22:49.400 I guess.
00:22:49.640 According to
00:22:51.060 the Port Townsend
00:22:51.780 Free Press,
00:22:52.460 Jamin,
00:22:52.940 who had been
00:22:53.440 in the
00:22:53.760 shower when
00:22:54.280 she realized
00:22:54.840 what was
00:22:55.180 happening,
00:22:56.000 hidden behind
00:22:56.860 thin,
00:22:57.900 sheer shower
00:22:58.660 curtains,
00:22:59.640 asked this
00:23:00.260 person,
00:23:01.240 revealed,
00:23:02.160 to go by
00:23:02.880 the name
00:23:03.340 Clementine
00:23:04.440 Adams.
00:23:06.180 Clementine.
00:23:07.380 Now,
00:23:08.060 I think
00:23:08.700 that's the
00:23:09.460 guy.
00:23:10.060 That's the
00:23:10.520 guy who
00:23:11.380 was the
00:23:12.660 employee.
00:23:13.420 Right,
00:23:13.740 she said,
00:23:14.160 asked this
00:23:14.740 person,
00:23:15.580 revealed,
00:23:16.480 to go by
00:23:17.200 the name
00:23:17.640 of Clementine
00:23:18.380 Adams.
00:23:18.800 I don't even
00:23:19.160 know what
00:23:19.380 that means.
00:23:19.620 I think
00:23:19.980 it means
00:23:20.500 they have
00:23:21.460 uncovered
00:23:22.060 who the
00:23:22.520 person is.
00:23:23.140 So,
00:23:23.500 that was
00:23:24.040 not named
00:23:24.460 in the
00:23:24.660 original
00:23:24.860 story.
00:23:25.160 They're
00:23:25.280 revealing
00:23:25.720 that here
00:23:26.240 for the
00:23:26.520 first time.
00:23:27.140 Clementine
00:23:27.560 Adams,
00:23:28.200 and said,
00:23:29.480 quote,
00:23:30.360 80-year-old
00:23:30.980 woman,
00:23:31.380 do you
00:23:31.940 have a
00:23:32.460 penis?
00:23:34.260 It's a
00:23:34.820 fair question
00:23:35.400 in this
00:23:35.680 moment.
00:23:36.140 I think
00:23:36.280 it is.
00:23:37.520 Clementine
00:23:37.940 said,
00:23:38.380 none of
00:23:38.760 your
00:23:38.900 business.
00:23:40.780 Jamin's
00:23:41.260 then said,
00:23:41.960 get out
00:23:42.460 of here
00:23:42.860 right now.
00:23:45.500 You're
00:23:45.940 discriminating,
00:23:46.940 and you
00:23:47.940 can't
00:23:48.380 use the
00:23:48.860 pool
00:23:49.140 anymore,
00:23:49.680 and I'm
00:23:50.280 calling the
00:23:50.920 police.
00:23:53.420 Seems like
00:23:54.140 it.
00:23:54.440 Hang on
00:23:55.000 just a second.
00:23:55.660 Who said
00:23:56.160 that?
00:23:56.680 I believe
00:23:57.340 that was
00:23:57.700 Julie
00:23:58.000 Jamin,
00:23:58.420 the 80-year-old
00:23:58.960 woman.
00:23:59.780 This is the
00:24:00.300 way the
00:24:00.560 paragraph
00:24:00.800 reads.
00:24:01.420 It starts
00:24:02.260 here.
00:24:02.800 You're
00:24:03.000 discriminating,
00:24:03.720 and you
00:24:03.880 can't use
00:24:04.240 the pool
00:24:04.560 anymore,
00:24:05.080 and I'm
00:24:05.280 calling the
00:24:05.700 pool.
00:24:05.880 If you're
00:24:06.280 discriminating,
00:24:06.840 then it's
00:24:07.080 got to be
00:24:07.360 the employee
00:24:07.880 saying that.
00:24:09.080 Yeah,
00:24:09.180 but which
00:24:09.480 employee?
00:24:10.720 I thought
00:24:11.280 Clementine
00:24:12.020 Adams.
00:24:12.220 Wait,
00:24:12.440 I think
00:24:13.280 we just
00:24:13.600 jumped into
00:24:14.120 another
00:24:14.400 time
00:24:14.780 dimension.
00:24:15.720 You're
00:24:15.840 discriminating,
00:24:16.300 can't use
00:24:16.580 the pool
00:24:16.840 anymore,
00:24:17.340 and I'm
00:24:17.580 calling the
00:24:17.960 police.
00:24:18.700 YMCA
00:24:19.140 aquatics
00:24:20.160 manager,
00:24:20.880 Rowan
00:24:21.180 DeLuna,
00:24:21.820 told Jamin
00:24:23.060 after she
00:24:24.080 requested that
00:24:24.880 Adams leave
00:24:25.660 the room.
00:24:26.340 Okay,
00:24:26.720 so another
00:24:27.640 employee,
00:24:29.080 what's the
00:24:29.700 name of
00:24:29.900 that one?
00:24:30.140 That one
00:24:31.020 is DeLuna,
00:24:32.260 Rowan
00:24:32.560 DeLuna.
00:24:33.120 Now,
00:24:33.760 don't have
00:24:34.220 a sex,
00:24:34.920 don't know
00:24:35.320 if she has
00:24:35.980 male parts
00:24:36.580 or female
00:24:36.960 parts,
00:24:37.500 don't know.
00:24:38.040 Rowan?
00:24:38.780 I think of
00:24:39.540 Rowan Atkinson.
00:24:40.480 So do I.
00:24:40.880 And you
00:24:41.880 can't tell.
00:24:43.100 In an
00:24:44.020 email from
00:24:45.400 the YMCA's
00:24:46.200 marketing
00:24:46.500 communications
00:24:47.180 manager,
00:24:47.720 they said
00:24:48.160 that Jamin
00:24:48.860 was not
00:24:49.720 permanently
00:24:50.380 suspended
00:24:51.060 for this
00:24:51.760 incident
00:24:52.180 alone,
00:24:53.040 but rather
00:24:54.480 due to
00:24:55.300 quote,
00:24:55.840 repeatedly
00:24:56.420 violating
00:24:57.240 the
00:24:57.620 Olympic
00:24:58.000 Peninsula
00:24:58.540 YMCA
00:24:59.420 code of
00:25:00.200 conduct.
00:25:00.800 I can't
00:25:01.800 imagine
00:25:02.340 what it
00:25:02.820 is.
00:25:03.260 If a
00:25:04.020 guy can
00:25:04.540 stand in
00:25:05.200 the girls
00:25:05.620 dressing
00:25:06.020 room and
00:25:06.520 watch
00:25:06.820 little
00:25:07.100 girls
00:25:07.600 go to
00:25:08.540 the
00:25:08.680 bathroom,
00:25:09.100 I can't
00:25:10.100 imagine
00:25:10.440 what
00:25:10.640 their
00:25:10.800 code
00:25:10.960 of
00:25:11.100 conduct
00:25:11.440 is
00:25:11.760 and
00:25:12.280 what
00:25:12.840 you
00:25:12.960 would
00:25:13.080 have
00:25:13.260 to
00:25:13.420 do
00:25:13.660 to
00:25:14.060 violate
00:25:14.540 that
00:25:14.900 code
00:25:15.100 of
00:25:15.240 conduct.
00:25:16.920 Also,
00:25:17.800 specifically
00:25:18.380 use
00:25:18.780 disrespectful
00:25:19.360 words
00:25:20.220 or
00:25:20.600 gestures
00:25:21.200 towards
00:25:21.740 YMCA
00:25:22.500 staff
00:25:23.000 or
00:25:23.180 others
00:25:23.480 and
00:25:24.100 abusive
00:25:24.600 harassing
00:25:25.320 and or
00:25:25.800 obscene
00:25:26.240 language
00:25:26.660 or
00:25:26.880 gestures
00:25:27.220 towards
00:25:27.720 the
00:25:28.180 YMCA
00:25:28.820 staff
00:25:29.340 or
00:25:29.560 others.
00:25:30.280 This
00:25:30.300 80-year-old
00:25:30.880 woman.
00:25:31.340 This
00:25:31.460 80-year-old
00:25:32.000 woman.
00:25:32.360 Right.
00:25:32.840 Okay.
00:25:33.360 The
00:25:33.520 manager
00:25:34.040 said
00:25:34.540 that the
00:25:35.300 facility
00:25:35.720 has
00:25:36.060 experienced
00:25:36.760 past
00:25:37.380 issues,
00:25:37.940 but that
00:25:38.440 the
00:25:38.640 incident in
00:25:39.240 the
00:25:39.380 changing
00:25:39.740 room was
00:25:40.280 quote
00:25:40.620 unforgivable
00:25:41.640 and
00:25:42.020 extremely
00:25:42.540 harmful.
00:25:44.820 Unforgivable
00:25:45.420 to
00:25:46.720 ask
00:25:47.540 a person
00:25:48.360 with
00:25:48.880 to get
00:25:49.960 out
00:25:50.260 to
00:25:50.540 yeah
00:25:51.100 as
00:25:51.920 Jim
00:25:52.180 an
00:25:52.420 80-year-old
00:25:53.100 woman
00:25:53.420 saying
00:25:53.860 this
00:25:54.040 as
00:25:54.440 Jamin
00:25:54.680 attempted
00:25:55.140 to
00:25:55.440 leave
00:25:55.720 the
00:25:55.860 building
00:25:56.180 DeLuna
00:25:56.580 reportedly
00:25:57.100 told
00:25:57.420 Jamin
00:25:57.700 that she
00:25:58.120 was
00:25:58.320 not
00:25:58.660 abiding
00:25:59.080 by the
00:25:59.380 YMCA's
00:25:59.980 principles
00:26:00.440 and
00:26:00.760 values.
00:26:01.720 You
00:26:01.740 mean
00:26:01.940 the
00:26:02.160 young
00:26:02.520 men's
00:26:03.520 Christian
00:26:04.360 association?
00:26:05.860 I
00:26:06.460 just
00:26:06.700 there's
00:26:10.100 a lot
00:26:10.520 in
00:26:10.640 that
00:26:10.820 title.
00:26:11.200 There's
00:26:11.240 a lot
00:26:11.520 in
00:26:11.700 there.
00:26:12.060 The
00:26:12.200 young
00:26:12.860 men's
00:26:14.260 Christian
00:26:15.120 association.
00:26:16.920 Okay.
00:26:18.280 Another
00:26:18.840 YMCA
00:26:19.580 staffer
00:26:20.060 reportedly
00:26:20.540 blocked
00:26:21.020 Jamin
00:26:21.280 from
00:26:21.560 leaving
00:26:21.920 to
00:26:22.140 which
00:26:22.340 Jamin
00:26:22.660 said
00:26:23.160 bull
00:26:23.800 crap.
00:26:24.580 I'm
00:26:24.680 going to
00:26:25.060 the
00:26:25.180 police
00:26:25.460 right
00:26:25.740 now.
00:26:26.420 I
00:26:26.440 want
00:26:26.760 help
00:26:27.140 and
00:26:27.420 I
00:26:27.560 need
00:26:27.840 it
00:26:27.980 immediately.
00:26:28.420 Wait,
00:26:28.620 they
00:26:28.740 kicked
00:26:29.000 her out
00:26:29.320 and
00:26:29.640 blocked
00:26:30.000 her
00:26:30.280 from
00:26:30.740 leaving?
00:26:31.280 Another
00:26:31.520 employee
00:26:32.240 blocked
00:26:33.000 her.
00:26:34.060 Then
00:26:34.740 Jamin
00:26:35.040 went
00:26:35.360 next door
00:26:36.040 to the
00:26:36.460 police
00:26:37.000 and
00:26:37.520 then
00:26:37.680 later
00:26:37.940 received
00:26:38.320 a call
00:26:38.580 back
00:26:38.760 from
00:26:38.900 the
00:26:39.040 Port
00:26:39.240 Townsend
00:26:39.680 police
00:26:40.160 Mark
00:26:40.800 Titterness.
00:26:41.860 Okay,
00:26:42.320 so
00:26:42.440 Titterness
00:26:43.180 Titterness
00:26:44.500 is his
00:26:45.980 name.
00:26:46.340 Titterness
00:26:46.820 is his
00:26:48.220 name.
00:26:48.980 Police
00:26:49.000 officer.
00:26:49.540 Okay,
00:26:49.760 got it.
00:26:50.240 And
00:26:50.260 Titterman
00:26:50.880 said
00:26:51.340 that the
00:26:51.840 80-year-old
00:26:52.520 woman
00:26:52.920 had an
00:26:53.740 emotional
00:26:54.300 response
00:26:54.980 to a
00:26:55.380 strange
00:26:55.740 Titterness
00:26:56.400 or
00:26:56.540 Titterman?
00:26:57.260 Titterness,
00:26:57.940 sorry,
00:26:58.320 Titterness.
00:26:59.000 Yeah,
00:26:59.720 had an
00:27:00.160 emotional
00:27:00.600 response
00:27:01.240 to a
00:27:01.620 strange
00:27:02.000 male
00:27:02.380 being
00:27:02.780 in the
00:27:03.220 bathroom
00:27:03.620 and helping
00:27:04.360 a young
00:27:04.820 girl take
00:27:05.460 off her
00:27:05.840 bathing suit.
00:27:06.320 Now,
00:27:06.480 that's a
00:27:06.860 hateful
00:27:07.360 thing to
00:27:07.780 say because
00:27:08.180 it was
00:27:08.460 not a
00:27:08.920 young
00:27:09.160 male.
00:27:10.020 No,
00:27:10.560 not a
00:27:11.100 strange
00:27:11.480 male.
00:27:11.880 It was
00:27:12.040 not a
00:27:12.300 strange
00:27:12.800 male.
00:27:13.440 Yeah,
00:27:13.760 it was
00:27:14.120 a strange
00:27:14.760 woman
00:27:15.180 with a
00:27:15.580 penis.
00:27:16.220 Correct.
00:27:16.800 At the
00:27:17.220 Young Men's
00:27:17.820 Christian
00:27:18.140 Association.
00:27:18.360 Now,
00:27:18.560 imagine how
00:27:19.220 she has
00:27:19.760 suffered her
00:27:20.240 whole life
00:27:20.860 being a
00:27:21.500 female and
00:27:22.200 going,
00:27:23.080 and I
00:27:23.280 got this
00:27:23.700 junk
00:27:24.000 downstairs.
00:27:24.720 I'm
00:27:24.860 sorry,
00:27:25.180 and saying,
00:27:25.880 and I
00:27:26.220 got this
00:27:26.680 junk
00:27:27.000 downstairs.
00:27:27.580 This call
00:27:29.640 also contained
00:27:31.160 call records
00:27:32.340 made by an
00:27:33.120 anonymous
00:27:33.660 person at
00:27:34.700 the YMCA.
00:27:36.260 Anonymous
00:27:36.640 person said
00:27:37.680 Clementine was
00:27:38.540 in the bathroom
00:27:39.100 with a child
00:27:39.800 in the day
00:27:40.320 camp,
00:27:41.120 and Julie
00:27:41.420 asked if
00:27:42.380 she,
00:27:43.260 Julie,
00:27:43.700 who is
00:27:43.920 Julie?
00:27:44.360 Julie is
00:27:44.720 an 80-year-old
00:27:45.780 woman.
00:27:46.180 Okay,
00:27:46.580 and Julie
00:27:47.200 asked,
00:27:47.560 I didn't
00:27:47.760 know we
00:27:47.980 were on a
00:27:48.280 first-name
00:27:48.700 basis with
00:27:49.300 this 80-year-old
00:27:50.780 woman,
00:27:51.780 seeing that
00:27:52.340 you're an
00:27:52.640 anonymous
00:27:53.120 caller,
00:27:54.140 and Julie
00:27:54.500 asked if
00:27:55.040 she had a
00:27:55.440 penis and
00:27:55.820 then started
00:27:56.340 screaming at
00:27:56.960 her to
00:27:57.280 get out.
00:27:58.220 In another
00:27:58.600 call,
00:27:59.320 this person,
00:28:00.480 so is it
00:28:00.960 same person?
00:28:02.000 So the anonymous
00:28:02.060 person made
00:28:02.860 multiple calls?
00:28:03.900 Yes.
00:28:04.440 In another
00:28:05.040 call,
00:28:05.460 this person
00:28:05.880 said that
00:28:06.320 Jamin had
00:28:06.820 been asked
00:28:07.320 to leave
00:28:07.820 and is
00:28:08.500 refusing,
00:28:09.480 but they
00:28:10.080 were blocking
00:28:10.620 her.
00:28:11.240 Remember that?
00:28:12.740 Yet another
00:28:13.540 call said that
00:28:14.560 Jamin was
00:28:15.180 screaming at
00:28:16.080 an employee.
00:28:16.760 Wait,
00:28:16.780 another call
00:28:17.120 from another
00:28:17.480 person?
00:28:18.260 Yet another
00:28:18.980 call said that
00:28:20.140 Jamin doesn't
00:28:20.740 even say if
00:28:21.240 it's the same
00:28:21.660 person or
00:28:22.100 another person.
00:28:22.900 I'm guessing,
00:28:23.860 seeing that
00:28:24.140 we've had two
00:28:24.800 from that one
00:28:26.680 person and
00:28:28.880 this one
00:28:29.220 doesn't say
00:28:29.700 from another
00:28:30.340 individual,
00:28:30.860 just says
00:28:31.300 another call.
00:28:32.120 I'm sure
00:28:32.420 she's just
00:28:32.840 like,
00:28:33.100 you know
00:28:33.560 what?
00:28:34.340 And another
00:28:34.880 thing.
00:28:36.000 She was
00:28:36.680 screaming at
00:28:37.400 an employee
00:28:37.920 and calling
00:28:38.440 names and
00:28:38.960 refusing to
00:28:39.500 leave.
00:28:39.880 Jamin had
00:28:41.180 also spoken
00:28:41.940 to Wendy
00:28:42.920 Bart.
00:28:43.760 This is
00:28:44.120 the CEO
00:28:44.740 of the
00:28:45.320 Olympic
00:28:45.600 Peninsula
00:28:46.100 YMCA.
00:28:46.980 I'm running
00:28:47.100 out of
00:28:47.300 space.
00:28:47.600 Wait,
00:28:47.740 Wendy
00:28:47.980 Bart?
00:28:48.540 Bart,
00:28:48.900 she's the
00:28:49.260 CEO.
00:28:50.120 Wendy
00:28:50.480 Bart.
00:28:51.080 Bart said
00:28:51.920 that a
00:28:52.680 staff member
00:28:53.480 unnamed
00:28:54.280 claimed Jamin
00:28:55.460 said to
00:28:56.060 Adams,
00:28:57.820 and I
00:28:58.180 can't even,
00:28:58.860 you're going
00:28:59.240 to stick
00:28:59.800 your
00:29:00.240 EFF
00:29:03.820 P word
00:29:07.020 into those
00:29:08.220 little girls.
00:29:09.180 I think
00:29:09.420 EFFing is
00:29:10.440 already
00:29:11.200 I didn't
00:29:11.400 even feel
00:29:12.200 comfortable
00:29:12.720 saying that
00:29:13.460 in this
00:29:14.780 particular
00:29:15.320 context.
00:29:18.020 According to
00:29:20.240 Jamin,
00:29:21.060 she said,
00:29:22.000 quote,
00:29:22.600 I am an
00:29:23.360 80-year-old
00:29:24.400 woman.
00:29:25.660 I don't
00:29:26.840 ever
00:29:27.740 talk like
00:29:29.100 that.
00:29:31.240 By the
00:29:32.060 way,
00:29:32.480 there is no
00:29:33.400 signage informing
00:29:34.240 women the
00:29:34.800 shower room is
00:29:35.440 now all
00:29:36.020 gender.
00:29:37.020 Or what
00:29:37.480 that means.
00:29:38.860 Jamin told
00:29:39.540 the city
00:29:40.020 council,
00:29:40.680 nor have
00:29:41.080 parents been
00:29:41.680 informed of
00:29:42.380 what they
00:29:42.680 can expect
00:29:43.320 with these
00:29:43.740 new policies.
00:29:46.040 So,
00:29:46.900 there you
00:29:48.500 go.
00:29:49.700 Okay.
00:29:50.640 I really
00:29:52.700 have a
00:29:53.400 difficult time
00:29:53.920 following that
00:29:54.480 story.
00:29:55.320 I find this
00:29:56.720 more and
00:29:57.120 more,
00:29:57.540 because I
00:29:57.980 don't know
00:29:58.960 who is
00:30:00.440 talking to
00:30:01.100 who.
00:30:01.420 I was
00:30:02.040 trying to
00:30:02.260 read that
00:30:02.500 Demi Lovato
00:30:03.140 story from
00:30:03.780 last week,
00:30:04.320 where apparently
00:30:04.920 they,
00:30:06.140 she was
00:30:07.220 a she.
00:30:07.760 Then she
00:30:08.100 said,
00:30:08.320 no,
00:30:08.480 I'm a
00:30:08.660 they.
00:30:09.140 Now she's
00:30:09.660 back to
00:30:10.060 a she
00:30:10.320 because she's
00:30:11.000 feeling feminine
00:30:11.960 right now.
00:30:13.060 And trying to
00:30:13.520 decipher,
00:30:14.380 like,
00:30:14.640 now do all the
00:30:15.380 people who
00:30:15.660 are calling
00:30:15.960 her they,
00:30:16.460 they were
00:30:16.900 wrong?
00:30:17.520 Or they
00:30:17.760 were right?
00:30:18.660 No,
00:30:18.880 they were
00:30:19.200 right,
00:30:19.600 but they now
00:30:20.200 have to change
00:30:20.800 back to
00:30:21.500 she.
00:30:21.920 And because
00:30:22.480 she's feeling
00:30:22.980 very feminine
00:30:23.480 now,
00:30:23.800 she can be
00:30:24.260 she,
00:30:24.840 but she
00:30:25.740 could go
00:30:26.100 back to
00:30:26.460 they,
00:30:26.820 or it.
00:30:27.300 I mean,
00:30:27.560 but like,
00:30:28.060 that means
00:30:29.620 nothing,
00:30:30.160 right?
00:30:30.900 If you can
00:30:31.560 just change
00:30:32.140 it by feeling
00:30:33.280 away and
00:30:34.160 just changing
00:30:34.940 it for
00:30:35.280 everyone,
00:30:35.540 then what
00:30:36.040 you change
00:30:36.680 it to or
00:30:37.340 from mean
00:30:37.940 nothing.
00:30:38.760 And that's,
00:30:39.200 of course,
00:30:39.440 I guess,
00:30:39.720 the point of
00:30:40.200 all of this.
00:30:41.140 But the
00:30:42.160 remember,
00:30:43.400 remember,
00:30:43.840 what did I
00:30:44.360 tell you the
00:30:44.940 operative word
00:30:45.900 would be in
00:30:46.680 these times?
00:30:48.560 Chaos.
00:30:49.540 Yeah.
00:30:50.120 This is chaos
00:30:51.280 of the language.
00:30:52.540 You can't
00:30:53.380 understand anything.
00:30:55.120 So,
00:30:55.600 the basic
00:30:56.760 story here
00:30:57.420 is that an
00:30:58.120 80-year-old
00:30:58.680 woman heard
00:30:59.520 a man in
00:31:00.740 the locker
00:31:01.120 room who
00:31:03.160 was helping,
00:31:03.980 again,
00:31:04.680 not just in
00:31:05.240 the locker
00:31:05.540 room,
00:31:05.740 but helping
00:31:06.100 kids undress
00:31:07.380 and little
00:31:08.220 girls go
00:31:09.580 to the
00:31:09.840 bathroom.
00:31:11.480 And she
00:31:12.320 called it
00:31:12.780 out,
00:31:13.600 yelled at
00:31:13.900 the guy,
00:31:15.240 wanted him
00:31:15.720 to leave,
00:31:16.460 and then she
00:31:17.520 got thrown
00:31:18.000 out and
00:31:18.900 is being
00:31:19.280 harangued
00:31:19.840 by the
00:31:20.780 organization
00:31:21.260 responsible.
00:31:21.600 So,
00:31:21.840 what is
00:31:23.380 a
00:31:23.860 reasonable
00:31:24.860 answer
00:31:25.780 here?
00:31:32.040 Seriously.
00:31:32.520 I've got a
00:31:32.860 bunch of
00:31:33.180 them.
00:31:33.360 Let me edit
00:31:33.980 out the
00:31:34.280 ones I
00:31:34.560 shouldn't
00:31:34.740 say and
00:31:35.140 say,
00:31:36.400 the
00:31:37.100 reasonable
00:31:38.140 answer would
00:31:38.980 be that
00:31:40.140 if you're
00:31:40.480 going to
00:31:40.920 have a
00:31:41.380 transgendered
00:31:42.280 employee
00:31:42.820 that's going
00:31:44.280 to be
00:31:44.480 working for
00:31:44.960 you,
00:31:45.580 that perhaps
00:31:46.820 you don't
00:31:47.220 assign them
00:31:47.940 the duties
00:31:48.500 of being
00:31:49.060 inside a
00:31:50.000 women's
00:31:50.440 locker room
00:31:50.920 with elderly
00:31:51.640 women who
00:31:52.200 obviously
00:31:52.940 aren't
00:31:53.400 on to
00:31:53.760 your
00:31:53.940 new
00:31:54.200 gender
00:31:54.580 thing
00:31:55.040 and
00:31:56.160 having
00:31:56.700 them
00:31:57.000 have
00:31:57.320 the
00:31:57.460 responsibility
00:31:58.100 of
00:31:58.420 untrusting
00:31:58.840 children,
00:31:59.500 little girls
00:32:00.020 in particular.
00:32:00.720 So,
00:32:00.740 here's what
00:32:01.100 the rational
00:32:03.240 thing would
00:32:04.020 be to do.
00:32:04.560 Now,
00:32:05.060 this is not
00:32:06.120 rational
00:32:06.720 10 years
00:32:08.100 ago.
00:32:08.520 This is
00:32:09.140 just rational
00:32:10.000 today if
00:32:11.040 you're trying
00:32:11.580 to,
00:32:12.020 if you
00:32:12.720 weren't
00:32:13.060 trying to
00:32:13.600 cause chaos
00:32:14.260 and destroy
00:32:15.140 the fabric
00:32:15.900 of our
00:32:16.240 nation,
00:32:16.820 you would
00:32:17.560 say,
00:32:18.480 okay,
00:32:18.860 look,
00:32:19.140 dude,
00:32:19.620 ma'am,
00:32:20.820 we are,
00:32:21.320 we're totally
00:32:22.320 cool,
00:32:23.100 but because
00:32:24.340 not everybody
00:32:25.260 believes the
00:32:25.980 same thing,
00:32:27.040 we sure
00:32:28.140 appreciate you
00:32:29.180 and yes,
00:32:30.360 you can help,
00:32:31.400 but we do
00:32:31.960 have to notify
00:32:32.640 all of the
00:32:33.420 parents because
00:32:35.260 a lot of the
00:32:36.020 parents and so
00:32:36.680 that we give
00:32:37.140 them the option
00:32:37.820 of dropping
00:32:38.380 out.
00:32:38.940 I know
00:32:39.120 bigots,
00:32:39.720 but hey,
00:32:40.420 this is the
00:32:40.900 way they
00:32:41.100 are and
00:32:42.580 you can't
00:32:44.100 take the
00:32:44.480 little girls
00:32:45.020 into the
00:32:45.900 bathroom
00:32:46.320 because some
00:32:47.620 parents say
00:32:48.220 no.
00:32:49.220 Okay,
00:32:49.840 we just,
00:32:50.660 we want
00:32:51.080 you to be
00:32:51.900 happy,
00:32:52.360 but we also
00:32:53.080 want to
00:32:53.560 respect other
00:32:54.360 people that
00:32:54.900 may not
00:32:55.460 believe the
00:32:56.040 same thing
00:32:56.620 or you
00:32:57.780 just have
00:32:58.340 this and
00:32:58.960 lock it
00:32:59.600 down from
00:33:00.300 anybody else
00:33:01.100 who isn't
00:33:01.680 on your
00:33:02.260 train.
00:33:03.080 But what
00:33:03.880 they're doing
00:33:04.480 is causing
00:33:05.140 chaos and
00:33:05.980 strife and
00:33:06.700 condemning
00:33:07.580 anyone.
00:33:08.460 That's the
00:33:08.980 problem.
00:33:10.260 The problem
00:33:10.900 is condemning
00:33:12.120 anyone who
00:33:13.280 disagrees with
00:33:14.360 these crazy
00:33:15.360 radical ideas.
00:33:18.540 You're
00:33:20.120 listening to
00:33:20.740 the best
00:33:21.160 of the
00:33:21.460 Glenn Beck
00:33:21.860 program.
00:33:28.240 Carrie
00:33:28.720 Lake,
00:33:29.580 welcome to
00:33:30.520 the program.
00:33:31.940 Good morning,
00:33:33.040 Glenn.
00:33:33.440 It was good
00:33:33.940 to hear you
00:33:35.020 on stage.
00:33:35.980 They said
00:33:36.680 you're following
00:33:37.200 Glenn Beck
00:33:37.760 and I said
00:33:38.160 no, I can't
00:33:38.720 do that.
00:33:41.320 He's too
00:33:42.000 much of a
00:33:42.420 legend.
00:33:42.920 You are
00:33:43.660 remarkable.
00:33:45.720 I watched
00:33:46.640 you and I
00:33:47.080 listened to
00:33:47.600 you on
00:33:48.220 Saturday at
00:33:48.780 CPAC and
00:33:49.540 you could
00:33:50.620 someday be
00:33:51.560 an easy
00:33:52.640 vice
00:33:52.960 presidential
00:33:53.480 candidate.
00:33:54.180 You could
00:33:54.520 be a
00:33:55.260 president.
00:33:57.700 I don't
00:33:58.380 know where
00:33:58.900 you're headed.
00:34:00.260 Let's not
00:34:00.440 get ahead of
00:34:00.920 ourselves.
00:34:01.480 I know.
00:34:02.020 I know.
00:34:02.320 I'm headed
00:34:02.680 to the
00:34:03.120 ninth floor
00:34:03.760 of the
00:34:04.320 governor's
00:34:04.800 office in
00:34:05.380 Arizona because
00:34:06.120 we have
00:34:06.500 such problems
00:34:07.680 here that we
00:34:08.240 need to
00:34:08.580 solve.
00:34:09.000 I think
00:34:09.880 what we
00:34:10.140 learned from
00:34:10.500 President
00:34:10.860 Trump is
00:34:11.360 it doesn't
00:34:12.480 take that
00:34:12.980 much work
00:34:14.320 to solve
00:34:14.820 the problems
00:34:15.320 if you have
00:34:15.760 the will
00:34:16.220 to do it.
00:34:16.820 And we
00:34:17.480 have the
00:34:17.880 ideas.
00:34:18.480 Unfortunately
00:34:19.000 this last
00:34:20.060 part of
00:34:20.520 the election
00:34:20.960 the primary
00:34:21.640 the media
00:34:22.440 refused to
00:34:23.080 cover our
00:34:23.500 policies which
00:34:24.220 I believe
00:34:24.800 are some
00:34:25.400 of the best
00:34:25.760 policies we've
00:34:26.500 ever seen
00:34:27.560 in Arizona
00:34:28.280 because they're
00:34:29.300 America first
00:34:29.980 policies brought
00:34:31.220 down to the
00:34:31.780 Arizona to the
00:34:32.560 state level.
00:34:33.420 So give me
00:34:34.240 some of those
00:34:34.680 policies.
00:34:35.500 Give me the
00:34:36.060 things that
00:34:37.140 you're really
00:34:37.520 proud of and
00:34:38.080 you're like can't
00:34:38.640 wait to put
00:34:39.080 this in.
00:34:40.720 I really love
00:34:41.920 you know besides
00:34:42.740 the border and I
00:34:43.440 talk about that all
00:34:44.100 the time but I
00:34:44.840 want to talk about a
00:34:45.420 couple of others.
00:34:45.960 I want to talk
00:34:46.700 about my
00:34:47.160 program to end
00:34:48.600 street homelessness
00:34:49.360 chronic street
00:34:50.320 homelessness.
00:34:51.060 I don't know if
00:34:51.300 you've been to
00:34:51.700 Phoenix lately but
00:34:52.660 many American
00:34:53.800 cities are just
00:34:54.600 turning into
00:34:55.180 homeless encampments.
00:34:56.360 You know I just
00:34:57.300 don't believe God
00:34:57.980 envisioned us to
00:34:59.040 live in despair
00:35:00.580 with a needle in
00:35:01.280 our arm on the
00:35:01.980 street and we
00:35:03.240 need to help
00:35:04.560 these people but
00:35:05.780 we also need to
00:35:06.600 remember it's not
00:35:07.440 compassionate for
00:35:08.400 the people of
00:35:09.020 Arizona to allow
00:35:09.980 this problem to
00:35:10.780 grow.
00:35:11.380 It takes away our
00:35:12.360 quality of life so
00:35:13.240 we're going to
00:35:14.100 work to get the
00:35:15.480 help to these
00:35:16.000 people and I've
00:35:16.700 got it's a very
00:35:17.240 involved plan.
00:35:18.120 I won't go into
00:35:18.580 every detail.
00:35:19.800 Get them off the
00:35:20.580 streets and we're
00:35:21.220 going to ban
00:35:21.680 urban camping as
00:35:22.800 they call it by
00:35:24.060 building enough
00:35:24.860 shelter beds for
00:35:26.320 them to have a
00:35:26.960 place to stay.
00:35:27.800 Get them treatment.
00:35:29.440 Get them off the
00:35:30.260 streets.
00:35:31.380 And you know those
00:35:32.060 who refuse the
00:35:32.860 treatment it's going
00:35:33.720 to become a little
00:35:34.240 more difficult to
00:35:34.920 live in Arizona
00:35:35.460 because we're not
00:35:36.140 going to allow
00:35:36.900 public drug use.
00:35:38.440 the crimes that
00:35:39.520 the chronic street
00:35:40.940 homeless typically
00:35:42.760 are taking part in.
00:35:44.380 So it's a little
00:35:45.060 bit of tough love
00:35:45.880 but there's a lot
00:35:46.600 of love in there
00:35:47.320 and frankly Glenn we
00:35:48.880 need all hands on
00:35:49.940 deck.
00:35:50.240 We need everybody
00:35:50.820 to be contributing.
00:35:52.200 We've got jobs that
00:35:53.160 are out there that we
00:35:53.820 want to put Americans
00:35:54.700 into fill so we're
00:35:55.540 going to get job
00:35:56.080 training for these
00:35:56.780 people once we get
00:35:57.560 them off the drugs
00:35:58.320 and I just refuse to
00:36:00.900 allow any money from
00:36:02.200 the state to go into
00:36:03.000 a homeless program that
00:36:04.660 is not showing
00:36:06.040 results.
00:36:06.740 That's the problem
00:36:08.620 with so many of
00:36:09.180 these issues.
00:36:09.880 An industry is
00:36:10.980 created around an
00:36:11.760 issue and then
00:36:12.280 there's no interest
00:36:13.080 in solving the
00:36:14.140 problem.
00:36:14.680 It just enables the
00:36:15.800 problem and we're
00:36:16.360 not going to allow
00:36:16.940 that anymore.
00:36:17.700 Yeah I tell you
00:36:18.240 there's lots of
00:36:19.840 programs out there
00:36:20.500 that are showing
00:36:20.960 results.
00:36:21.600 They're just bad
00:36:22.340 results.
00:36:23.100 I mean look at
00:36:23.640 California.
00:36:24.880 Holy cow.
00:36:26.320 Los Angeles now is
00:36:27.380 talking about they're
00:36:29.680 voting on Friday the
00:36:31.800 city council on
00:36:33.180 whether or not to
00:36:34.520 demand hotels.
00:36:36.740 from five star to
00:36:38.280 dumps to every day
00:36:40.940 by two o'clock post
00:36:42.440 how many rooms they
00:36:43.520 have open and then
00:36:44.680 they have to shelter
00:36:45.800 the homeless in those
00:36:46.700 rooms.
00:36:47.400 That's insanity.
00:36:48.380 Can you imagine?
00:36:49.160 It's total insanity
00:36:50.140 and and those kind of
00:36:52.240 policies have enabled
00:36:53.500 the homeless and the
00:36:55.240 drug using you know
00:36:56.940 subsection of the
00:36:58.120 homeless to continue to
00:36:59.180 use.
00:36:59.960 They're handing out
00:37:00.980 needles and they're
00:37:01.860 you know handing out
00:37:02.900 food and keeping
00:37:03.820 everybody on the
00:37:05.100 street.
00:37:05.320 what we need to do
00:37:06.020 is get them off the
00:37:06.820 street and we will
00:37:08.080 ban the urban
00:37:09.080 camping by building
00:37:10.200 enough shelter beds
00:37:11.220 and President Trump
00:37:11.940 kind of talked about
00:37:12.780 it.
00:37:13.560 I was surprised in his
00:37:14.920 speech at CPAC.
00:37:16.320 We're going to build
00:37:17.680 enough beds so we can
00:37:18.740 ban the urban
00:37:19.680 camping because if you
00:37:21.280 don't have enough beds
00:37:22.020 you can't ban urban
00:37:22.900 camping and then we're
00:37:24.320 going to get the help
00:37:25.160 needed and we're going
00:37:26.620 to get these people to
00:37:28.440 become contributing
00:37:29.220 members of society.
00:37:30.400 That's build them up
00:37:31.980 help them but we
00:37:32.940 cannot continue to
00:37:33.920 forget the hard
00:37:34.540 working tax-paying
00:37:36.120 Arizonans who want
00:37:37.180 their parks back.
00:37:38.560 They want to walk
00:37:39.240 down the street without
00:37:40.040 being accosted by
00:37:41.020 somebody who's either
00:37:42.080 on drugs or mentally
00:37:44.280 ill and dangerous and
00:37:46.320 we've just seen too
00:37:47.160 many crimes that are
00:37:48.220 committed by people who
00:37:49.220 are homeless and on
00:37:50.400 the streets that are
00:37:51.060 serious crimes and we
00:37:52.820 can't just keep throwing
00:37:53.620 money at these programs
00:37:54.640 that are enabling people
00:37:56.380 to use drugs and remain
00:37:57.580 on the street.
00:37:58.100 Well there's so many
00:37:59.460 things so many things
00:38:01.720 that are playing into
00:38:02.700 this.
00:38:03.360 I mean you have the
00:38:04.480 you have the border you
00:38:05.840 have the lack of respect
00:38:06.960 for police you have you
00:38:08.880 know DA's I mean
00:38:11.320 everything that's
00:38:12.280 happening is designed to
00:38:13.940 create more and more
00:38:14.900 chaos.
00:38:15.620 Let me talk to you
00:38:16.560 about ESG.
00:38:18.480 Are you familiar with
00:38:19.480 ESG and if so what are
00:38:22.000 you planning on doing
00:38:22.780 about it in your state?
00:38:25.060 What is ESG?
00:38:26.940 What's that acronym?
00:38:28.640 ESG is environmental
00:38:30.540 social and governance.
00:38:33.160 Oh yes.
00:38:34.120 So it's the
00:38:34.740 I am familiar with that.
00:38:35.820 The Great Reset.
00:38:38.120 I am familiar with that
00:38:39.720 and what part of that
00:38:42.280 are you asking about my
00:38:43.360 opinion on it?
00:38:43.880 So I'm going to tell you
00:38:44.620 what I'm going to send
00:38:45.340 you a copy of my book.
00:38:46.900 There are states that are
00:38:48.440 now taking it on I think
00:38:49.620 about 22 and the state
00:38:51.520 treasury are pulling all
00:38:54.040 of their resources all of
00:38:56.760 their investments out of
00:38:59.220 any group like BlackRock
00:39:01.580 that is enforcing ESG
00:39:04.400 standards because it's
00:39:05.620 it's it's not good.
00:39:07.360 It's just going to
00:39:08.220 cripple everything.
00:39:10.880 I'm with you on that 100%
00:39:12.520 and we have hopefully
00:39:14.140 Kimberly Yee who is a
00:39:15.340 state treasurer will get
00:39:17.020 on board with that.
00:39:17.860 We should not be
00:39:18.660 investing.
00:39:19.140 When I was doing a lot
00:39:21.840 more investing when
00:39:23.000 President Trump was in
00:39:23.960 office I looked at
00:39:25.280 companies that I
00:39:26.160 respected that respected
00:39:27.460 us and that's what I
00:39:29.120 wanted to put my money
00:39:29.900 into and we need to
00:39:31.300 start looking at that.
00:39:32.260 We've got to stop
00:39:33.440 investing our state money
00:39:34.820 and some of these banks
00:39:36.120 for example that we're
00:39:37.080 doing banking with in the
00:39:38.340 state they are against
00:39:40.040 our constitutional rights.
00:39:42.520 They won't work with
00:39:43.340 people who manufacture
00:39:44.920 ammo or guns.
00:39:46.580 Pretty soon it's going to
00:39:47.520 get to where they won't
00:39:48.340 work with you if you
00:39:49.360 don't have the same
00:39:51.040 ideological beliefs they
00:39:52.620 have.
00:39:53.120 So what is your Trump
00:39:54.560 supporter?
00:39:55.440 What is the main thing
00:39:56.300 that drives you the main
00:39:57.600 issues that drive you
00:39:58.420 obviously the border.
00:40:00.300 What else really is
00:40:01.660 driving you?
00:40:03.200 Is it education?
00:40:04.460 Is it what?
00:40:05.340 Yes.
00:40:05.980 My education plan calls
00:40:08.060 for a dual track
00:40:09.360 education after 10th
00:40:10.920 grade and you know
00:40:11.800 Glenn you and I are
00:40:13.320 old enough to remember
00:40:14.100 when we kind of had this
00:40:15.100 in our schools.
00:40:15.940 So after 10th grade you
00:40:17.220 decided if you were
00:40:17.940 going to take that route
00:40:18.800 to go to a four-year
00:40:19.720 college or if you
00:40:21.260 wanted to go and get
00:40:22.480 trade skills trade
00:40:23.900 training if you wanted
00:40:25.360 to get vocational
00:40:26.700 training or certification
00:40:28.480 the majority of jobs
00:40:30.160 out there don't require
00:40:31.440 a four-year college.
00:40:32.560 They require a little
00:40:34.360 bit of training and you
00:40:35.680 can go out and actually
00:40:36.460 make a good living.
00:40:37.640 They have this down in
00:40:38.460 one of the schools near
00:40:39.560 Tucson in the Vail
00:40:40.400 School District.
00:40:41.260 They have a welding
00:40:42.400 program in their school.
00:40:44.040 It's so popular they had
00:40:45.320 to grow it the first
00:40:46.660 year.
00:40:47.540 Every student who
00:40:48.860 graduates high school
00:40:49.720 from that welding
00:40:50.340 program has a job
00:40:51.940 offer between $70,000
00:40:53.420 and $100,000 with
00:40:54.800 full benefits.
00:40:56.500 These are the smart
00:40:57.380 kids.
00:40:57.700 I'm telling you they're
00:40:58.880 going to be able to
00:40:59.740 make a living, provide
00:41:00.720 for their family someday
00:41:01.780 and we've got to start
00:41:03.200 providing our kids a
00:41:04.440 true education that
00:41:05.380 prepares them for the
00:41:06.680 real world out there,
00:41:08.120 not some fantasy land
00:41:09.340 world where they're
00:41:09.980 ending up in debt
00:41:10.880 working at a
00:41:12.040 Starbucks.
00:41:12.480 So how would you
00:41:13.840 compare yourself to
00:41:15.300 let's say DeSantis
00:41:18.900 where he is pretty
00:41:21.240 much taking the bull
00:41:22.280 by the horns on
00:41:23.120 every subject and
00:41:26.520 getting a lot of heat
00:41:27.720 for it.
00:41:28.220 Where are you when
00:41:29.440 you look at how you
00:41:31.020 would handle your job
00:41:32.700 and how would you
00:41:34.960 get the House and
00:41:37.060 the Senate on board
00:41:38.200 with you to be able
00:41:40.040 to pass laws and not
00:41:41.360 edicts?
00:41:42.480 Well, let's start
00:41:43.860 with the DeSantis
00:41:45.700 part.
00:41:46.340 I absolutely love
00:41:47.820 the man.
00:41:48.340 I've been watching
00:41:49.480 him for a long time
00:41:50.840 and I love that he
00:41:51.840 doesn't care what the
00:41:53.040 media thinks.
00:41:53.660 He cares about the
00:41:54.380 people of Florida
00:41:55.000 and he cares about
00:41:56.340 freedom.
00:41:57.380 And so I would do a
00:41:58.440 lot of the same
00:41:58.980 things here.
00:41:59.660 And we need somebody
00:42:00.640 who is not going to
00:42:01.900 cower to the media.
00:42:03.640 We've got to start
00:42:04.360 having Republicans who
00:42:05.320 say we don't care
00:42:05.900 what they're saying.
00:42:06.640 We care about
00:42:07.380 effective policy that
00:42:09.220 helps our constituents.
00:42:10.820 And so I really
00:42:12.160 respect what he's
00:42:13.080 doing and I might
00:42:13.660 even copy a few of
00:42:14.480 the things he's
00:42:14.980 doing if he doesn't
00:42:15.720 mind.
00:42:16.300 Yeah, I don't think
00:42:17.720 he would.
00:42:19.280 When it comes to our
00:42:20.440 legislature, that's a
00:42:21.600 great question and I've
00:42:22.860 already been thinking
00:42:23.520 about that.
00:42:24.120 As a matter of fact,
00:42:24.700 I talked to President
00:42:25.640 Trump along the way and
00:42:26.560 I said, would you
00:42:27.220 please consider
00:42:28.160 endorsing some people
00:42:29.380 in the legislature?
00:42:31.160 If you want me to be
00:42:32.100 successful as a
00:42:33.120 governor, I've got to
00:42:33.960 have a legislature I
00:42:35.140 can work with.
00:42:35.660 We had a majority
00:42:37.420 but it was a one-vote
00:42:38.400 majority in Arizona
00:42:39.540 and it was with three
00:42:41.180 rhinos in the
00:42:42.360 legislature, it made
00:42:43.580 it really hard to get
00:42:44.800 a meaningful election
00:42:46.700 legislation planned
00:42:48.420 or through rather.
00:42:50.520 And so he did
00:42:51.680 endorse three people
00:42:52.700 and we got rid of
00:42:53.500 three rhinos and I'm
00:42:54.480 really excited about
00:42:55.680 that.
00:42:56.560 So that'll help and I
00:42:57.660 think we're going to
00:42:58.120 have a red wave and I
00:42:59.200 will work very closely
00:43:01.020 with the legislature.
00:43:01.920 As I said, I'm running
00:43:02.800 for governor, not God.
00:43:03.880 We need the legislature
00:43:04.840 to do good work and
00:43:07.100 make sure we're
00:43:07.780 addressing the real
00:43:08.520 problems out there.
