00:00:00.000 hey it's pat gray for stew coming up on the glenn beck program podcast today we say bye-bye to the

00:00:05.800 washington redskins and hello to the washington football team quite a ring to it huh uh our good

00:00:13.500 friend brad thor stops by to talk about his new book near dark and speaks with glenn about this

00:00:18.320 bizarre claim from the left that donald trump is trying to slowly move towards martial law

00:00:23.140 who would have thought that in the year 2020 out of all the craziness we've seen so far that a state

00:00:28.820 would want to secede huh glenn speaks with michael mccarter president of greater idaho that's a

00:00:35.060 movement that's trying to move the oregon border to be part of greater idaho we discuss whether or

00:00:43.280 not that's even possible and finally charlemagne the god speaks out against joe biden wow telling

00:00:49.300 him to shut up for calling president trump the first racist president all of this greatness and

00:00:54.900 a lot more coming up on the podcast you're listening to the best of the glenn beck program

00:01:07.020 so did you watch opening day baseball yesterday i did not

00:01:14.140 i was going to then i decided no i'm too tired i'm going to bed so i went to bed oh good for you yeah

00:01:21.640 for you well you missed every player and coach on the yankees and nationals kneel before the

00:01:27.760 national anthem yeah i saw it this morning i saw a clip of it that was beautiful that was beautiful but

00:01:32.140 it was before the national anthem so i did appreciate that they did it before not during

00:01:37.040 right yeah yeah well i mean they've got all the creativity now of you know the washington i'm sorry

00:01:43.880 i was going to say the washington race at the uh washington football team right 0.99

00:01:47.540 yeah good god what a stupid are you kidding me that's what you've come up with and i know it's 0.99

00:01:54.320 only temporary but that's even that's stupid even temporarily yes it is the washington football team 1.00

00:02:00.500 plus you've ignored maybe the worst part the washington you're gonna you're gonna call the 0.97

00:02:08.700 team after a slave owner how is that possible thank you right they should just be called football team 0.90

00:02:15.920 and then their jersey should say kill the cops i mean that's what america's all about that's what 1.00

00:02:23.380 america's that's what america's begging for oh yeah just football team and kill the cops 1.00

00:02:30.640 i think that's a really good one um so did you did you see the the uh ad from fox sports can we play 0.92

00:02:40.160 this you read the title cards you know in that sportscaster voice that you do here's the uh here's

00:02:45.920 fox sports listen to what they're promoting

00:02:47.620 no fans

00:02:51.140 not on fox sports

00:02:54.900 thousands of virtual fans

00:02:59.940 will attend fox's mlb games on saturday

00:03:05.240 and they're showing the digital fans are putting in the wow

00:03:09.900 wearing their team's colors

00:03:13.780 yes they'll even be doing the wave really

00:03:20.540 he's got him i mean he had him at hello they had you at hello didn't they yeah they did they had you

00:03:29.540 it hello it's probably better than leaving the stadium empty it probably is and you know no empty

00:03:35.360 no it's just training us to stay at home they're just training us to stay at home and everything is

00:03:42.160 normal this is not normal you know at least in uh in england uh the or i think in europe the soccer

00:03:51.260 stadiums are empty too but they're filling them with people like osama bin laden yeah yeah the

00:03:58.260 card cutouts i mean i think that's that's actually funny i kind of like that well you

00:04:02.460 couldn't you couldn't get away with that here though people would go 0.55

00:04:05.340 ape crap over that right i mean you why did you use the word why did you use the word ape 0.88

00:04:10.580 yeah oh my gosh the wow we were just talking about the washington redskins 0.99

00:04:16.860 and then nothing to do with the washington redskins

00:04:19.960 oh now talking baseball if i'm not mistaken but uh

00:04:23.600 wow i offensive was that america heard it yeah it was very offensive to me i'm apologizing to

00:04:31.780 myself for even listening to you i i'm sorry glenn that you listened to him and and uh you forced

00:04:38.680 me to listen and i'm i apologize it's okay it's okay just don't let it happen again i won't okay

00:04:45.200 all right so we're uh we're good with that um you really like the uh i like it better than an

00:04:51.340 empty stadium yeah i mean i would i rather have real people in the stadium yeah but i like it

00:04:56.760 better than an empty stadium with no so in other words you're fine you're totally fine with the

00:05:02.120 coronavirus and and the hoax and the yes that's i'm sure that's what america is hearing right now

00:05:07.860 yes i'm totally fine with this new normal this new normal is good for me let's keep it going guys

00:05:13.600 i'm good yeah yeah let's go i could we could have virtual businesses and virtual restaurants and i'm

00:05:20.840 good just uh you know hook me up to the matrix now that's exactly what i just said i don't like it

00:05:28.120 i know i know we heard it yeah racist uh the uh the problem is is i don't like the normalization

00:05:35.960 of everything well yeah i know that i guess i guess i hadn't thought of it that way that that

00:05:43.620 we're normalizing but i i just want a feeling of normal during this time i know that's exactly what

00:05:51.460 happens in a in a marxist revolution you don't care anymore you just want it to stop and you want 1.00

00:06:00.700 it to go back to normal and uh so i understand it it's just something that you pat have been been

00:06:07.320 by my side uh helping research and and and warning people when we get there don't do that yeah but

00:06:15.560 it's okay in sports it's fine in sports you just need it right okay all right no i no i get it i get it

00:06:24.660 the best of the glenn beck program

00:06:29.100 hey it's glenn and you're listening to the glenn beck program if you like what you're hearing on

00:06:39.680 this show make sure you check out pat gray unleashed it's available wherever you download

00:06:45.020 your favorite podcasts so there is a movement uh now you know when trump first got into office

00:06:52.520 there were all these liberals who were like i ride the 10th amendment i love the 10th amendment

00:06:57.920 oh i thought it was racist no it's a way for us to be able to control our state

00:07:03.040 hmm yeah it kind of makes sense and then we started seeing the insanity of many of these states and

00:07:10.460 covid has only made it worse well michael mccarter uh started something move oregon's border for a

00:07:17.500 greater idaho uh because eastern oregon residents uh are sick to death of of portland and all of the 0.69

00:07:28.140 things that are going on with their state and they would like to join idaho is that even possible it

00:07:34.220 hasn't happened since uh virginia seceded and uh many of the people in virginia went to a place we

00:07:42.640 now know as west virginia that happened uh during the civil war because of uh because of slavery

00:07:49.820 we now have michael on with us hello michael how are you good morning from crazy oregon

00:07:56.740 it is i mean i i grew up in the pacific northwest michael so i i know about cascadia and everything else

00:08:07.460 it's been crazy for a long time but this is dangerous crazy now in oregon well you know glenn

00:08:15.340 this this is not something that just started recently oregon's been going downhill for years

00:08:21.540 and in watching everything that's taking place we started last fall organizing move oregon's border

00:08:30.460 for greater idaho and then the pandemic hit and then you know the uh riots hit and stuff and it just

00:08:42.120 supports our decision we don't have any faith in oregon's leadership at all period um there are there

00:08:51.740 are there are great parts of california and oregon that feel the same way i mean upstate new york is

00:09:00.220 is like this um uh but is there first of all have you talked to idaho is idaho interest are they

00:09:07.160 taking your phone calls yes they are uh we've had some really good response from some of the

00:09:13.680 representatives but you know i think there's a lot of people that are sitting on the sidelines just

00:09:18.460 watching this waiting to see what the vote's like and whether or not it uh you know it's going to

00:09:25.460 gain traction we're we're so who are the people that who are the people that are in and how much

00:09:32.700 land are you talking about these are generally farmers and i looked at the map and there's a lot

00:09:37.980 of national forest in there so how many people how much land and who are those people well basically

00:09:45.640 you're talking to you know in a lot of cases second third fourth fifth generation oregonians that have

00:09:53.900 an attachment to the land they're not transitional people that move up and down the west coast

00:09:59.600 buy a house live there three years sell it and move on these are people that have their roots

00:10:05.760 in in this state and um you know they are they are they are right now they're ranchers they're like you

00:10:15.640 say farmers that are out there and they they basically align themselves closer with idaho's

00:10:23.300 conservative values than with what's going on in northwest oregon but you know northwest oregon's

00:10:29.980 got about 75 percent of the population base and the votes and with that vote they control what they want

00:10:37.800 to do no matter what we say or ask or try to input on they don't care so michael i am in i'm in idaho

00:10:47.080 right now and by the way i i am not a permanent resident in idaho in idaho so i don't have voting

00:10:53.740 rights but i would vote to get you in because you have uh oceanfront property which i think is very nice

00:11:00.640 but uh right now in idaho they're trying to get rid of their governor and recall him because even

00:11:10.200 though he's a republican they think that he has gone way too far idaho except for the boise area

00:11:16.620 uh which is about 800 000 people is is is they're ranchers and they're farmers and they're people who

00:11:23.300 have lived here forever and they're common sense and they even think that boise controls everything

00:11:30.720 and nobody's listening to to the people in the rest of the state the exact same way that

00:11:36.760 upstate new yorkers feel new york city is different yes well you know the the vote in oregon over 75

00:11:46.460 percent of the vote is in the portland metro willamette valley and so they control the whole works

00:11:53.920 and um there's some resistance in idaho about us you know they don't want more people moving there

00:12:03.280 in the liberal values moving there uh and and we agree but eastern central and southern oregon is

00:12:12.260 over 65 percent conservative so we want to boost that conservative value that you see in idaho right

00:12:23.040 now we don't want to change it at all we don't want to move our property to idaho it's simply a lot

00:12:30.260 by an adjustment between two states right we align ourselves and it can go ahead it can be done it

00:12:40.120 it hasn't been done since uh the 1800s but it can be done however when you have the vote um on this

00:12:48.080 you're you're trying to raise enough signatures as as i understand it maybe i'm wrong to get it onto

00:12:53.880 the ballot and if you get it onto the ballot do the people in portland and uh you know eugene do they

00:13:03.240 have to agree to i mean because they have more people than you do so you're destined to lose if they

00:13:08.720 are voting for it well we're taking this county by county in central eastern and southern oregon

00:13:15.680 we want to hear what the county citizens think about this and it's we're trying to get that question

00:13:23.420 a question on the ballot for the november election do we want our um county commissioners to start

00:13:32.680 working towards the possibility of moving their county to a county of idaho now if all 17 counties

00:13:41.840 come out in favor of that or one by one as we get them approved by the number of signatures

00:13:49.360 then it goes to the state legislature and then the battle really begins but it is it is possible for it

00:13:57.020 to take place i mean who would have thought years ago 2015 that donald j trump would become the

00:14:04.220 president of the united states who would have thought except for maybe people in oregon that

00:14:11.320 uh socialist and marxist would be running uh a city and a state in the united states and openly doing it

00:14:21.260 oh well let's go back 20 some years to governor morris he says come visit but don't stay he had that

00:14:30.620 vision that we don't want those liberal policies up here in oregon we are we are a free independent

00:14:38.300 state well right now it's kind of like the west west coast california oregon and washington

00:14:45.220 on the west are all tied together and it's uh it doesn't sit well with us by far yeah so yeah we

00:14:54.720 want to see what that vote is like and this this election coming up is a major election in november

00:15:00.380 it only happens once in every four years that's why we're pushing to get on that ballot county by county

00:15:07.960 then it goes to the are you how close are you to that well in in we've got uh one county positive

00:15:19.000 one county at 98 percent of their signatures and several more lined up right behind that

00:15:25.180 with enough signatures but under covid19 lockdown kate brown it is extremely hard to go out and get

00:15:33.920 signatures i mean right you know people are just you know walk up with a mask on and grab some pin

00:15:41.620 and try to sign on the clipboard yeah it's hands off i i do know i can't remember which state it was

00:15:49.800 but there was they were trying to put something on the ballot and they went to court um and made the

00:15:54.960 case that they can't they can't get that number of signatures uh because of covid19 and the court did

00:16:01.660 reduce the amount of signatures that were required and i it just happened the last few days and i don't

00:16:07.280 remember what state it was um but you might want to look into that um because it is hard to get that

00:16:13.140 many federal court we filed a federal court good already for that same reason and we're not saying

00:16:21.080 that people are wrong we we filed against the governor the secretary of state and all of the county

00:16:27.060 clerks in these counties and it's saying okay i mean common sense that the lockdown of covid19

00:16:36.120 has is restricting the ability to get the number of signatures of course it is right so we're asking

00:16:44.260 for some relief on that just like these other cases have so it's in the courts right now here

00:16:50.500 um and uh you've got a good judge do you know the judge yet yes we do we we filed june 30th we've got

00:17:01.280 a august 5th deadline to get all these signatures in county by county and so we've we filed for relief

00:17:09.300 to reduce the number of signatures required and to extend that date to allow us to get more signatures

00:17:17.240 again uh it was denied the first time and so we refiled two days ago a motion uh i i i do see the

00:17:29.160 map of uh oregon and it is it reduces it almost to the size of what maybe a couple of rhode islands

00:17:39.380 maybe one rhode island pat have you seen this this map yeah idaho's huge uh under this plan

00:17:45.960 and uh oregon's just a teeny little sliver so yeah yeah idaho becomes much bigger than washington

00:17:55.160 state much right right now a lot of the counties in eastern oregon um are revenue negative counties

00:18:03.920 for the state if the state of oregon removes those counties from their budgets all of a sudden

00:18:11.380 they've got a lot of money they can put into their liberal social program nice i like that now

00:18:20.100 you should probably keep that to yourself when you're trying to convince idaho

00:18:25.220 how are you going to convince idaho when you've used that uh with oregon yeah but i think idaho looks at

00:18:35.300 those counties in a different way they're timber friendly all of a sudden like you say they have

00:18:41.480 a deep water port in coos bay yeah where where are all the products from idaho going to ship through

00:18:47.640 to go out to the pacific rim they're going to come across no it's it's going to be a boom economically

00:18:55.320 yeah it would be it would be um all right well uh best of luck and will you stay in touch with us

00:19:01.880 and tell us how it's going and if there's anything we can do to help uh because i i just think it's

00:19:07.060 wrong california is in the same situation to where there are all those farm farms uh and farmland in

00:19:14.020 california they're not being listened to they don't have any real representation uh and they're sick of it

00:19:20.420 and quite honestly i think they should be allowed to uh to carve out uh their own their own representation

00:19:29.180 we're being controlled now by the big cities absolutely absolutely if i can say anything more

00:19:36.900 glenn i would encourage any of the oregon citizens that are listening to this that are in our counties

00:19:43.380 to sign the petition to vote to i mean we have bought into this that one person can't make a difference

00:19:52.280 that is crap we need everybody to vote on it and and then go to our our our uh website greateridaho.org

00:20:03.540 and give us a donation because we're grassroots we're totally underfunded and nobody is paid in 0.98

00:20:12.100 this whole program it's all from the bottom up and this is a real bottom up thing this is obviously

00:20:19.140 george soros is not helping them on this uh it's greateridaho.org greateridaho.org and i i will tell

00:20:26.680 you if you are if you're in oregon now idaho is really sweet and quite honestly we need a few more

00:20:36.400 farmers in here and a few more ranchers and a few more people that think like the vast majority of

00:20:43.380 idaho um because they're going to come up here and they'll wreck this state just as much as they 1.00

00:20:49.780 wrecked uh oregon for you we need to stick together uh i'm i'm excited by the possibility it's going to

00:20:56.380 be a dog fight but uh i'm up for it anything we can do to help you you just let us know greateridaho.org

00:21:03.060 you're listening to the best of the glenn beck program

00:21:10.240 joe biden and what he said about donald trump being our first racist president yeah no our

00:21:33.180 first race first racist president most racist amazing really that's amazing yeah i i was

00:21:39.380 thinking i don't know woodrow wilson yeah uh andrew jackson perhaps andrew jackson would be a very 0.50

00:21:46.640 good one or maybe lbj would be uh would be a great one i mean there were massive racist presidents

00:21:55.000 all of them strangely uh democrats but uh you know i'm just for that for that matter if i if i may add

00:22:03.040 a potential one here uh barack obama with with his comments about typical white calling that well

00:22:10.080 yeah are you calling the president a racist but there's some that's the most racist thing uh is

00:22:16.960 not racist thing i've ever heard it used to be but it doesn't seem to be anymore but with questions

00:22:22.400 it doesn't or answers like this uh about his grandma uh typical white person right typical white person

00:22:30.040 uh well if she sees somebody on the street uh-huh that she doesn't know there's a you know there's

00:22:36.400 a reaction that's been bred into it's been bred that's been bred into her if anybody said that about

00:22:43.100 a black person can you imagine they'd still be harping about that to this day you'd be jimmy the greek

00:22:49.240 you'd be jimmy the greek yes uh it's it's it's remarkable and it's remarkable how

00:22:55.660 i don't know accurate we were on our questions about barack obama because he did harbor all of

00:23:03.900 those things he did listen to jeremiah right because jeremiah right is practically running our

00:23:09.360 country now at least the spirit of jeremiah right is have you seen next hour i think it's next hour we're

00:23:15.360 going to get into the the uh new board planks of the uh the democratic platform oh my gosh i i don't

00:23:25.200 know how you can vote for these people but uh i don't good luck with that and and here's something

00:23:31.700 that um we played in the four minute buzz if you're watching uh uh watching this program on blaze tv at

00:23:39.340 the top of every hour we have the four minute buzz and we go over some of the news and i saw this i did

00:23:44.900 not see this yesterday but i think this is from msnbc i want you to listen to what this person is

00:23:51.680 actually saying when they were talking about sending uh federal forces in to protect the federal

00:23:59.760 buildings in chicago and in seattle and in uh portland listen to this analysis this is what would

00:24:09.260 happen if you were a an authoritarian president who was preparing to to resist a loss in the election

00:24:16.900 you would be saying the things donald trump is saying and you would be gradually rolling out

00:24:22.200 federal police power into the states against the the wishes of the mayors and governors in question

00:24:29.260 this is how it would happen this is how the movie would play out and anybody who's not looking at this

00:24:34.540 with a state of alarm and concern and worried about is this president going to to employ formally

00:24:40.960 martial law at some point as ron wyden suggested yesterday is that on the president's mind is there

00:24:45.960 anybody having watched donald trump for the last three and a half years who doesn't think that donald

00:24:50.800 trump would try to employ martial law if he thought it was the only way he could stay in power

00:24:54.740 yeah that would be me yeah there's me i've been watching donald trump i've been watching donald trump

00:25:00.960 in the most easily authoritarian time perhaps in my lifetime not take any of the authoritarian powers

00:25:10.260 and then i've seen uh crazy stuff happening in the states happening with governors who keep crying that

00:25:19.600 donald trump is an authoritarian and yet they seem to be the authoritarians uh no i don't think this is

00:25:26.640 what he's doing in uh putting uh soldiers on the street so he can declare martial law uh for the

00:25:34.640 election that is that is dangerous rhetoric and and far far beyond anything i ever said anything i ever

00:25:45.360 said about barack obama i take back all of my apologies to you

00:25:49.020 na na na na na
