The Glenn Beck Program - Best of the Program ｜ Guest： Rep. Chris Stewart ｜ 11⧸11⧸19

00:00:00.000 hey welcome to the monday podcast and a good one at that huh as we get ready for uh our our special

00:00:07.360 on wednesday you got to tell all your friends about it make sure they're watching we've made

00:00:11.720 it free so you can share it with friends but you know your subscription to blaze tv actually is

00:00:17.260 what pays for all of these things and we can't thank you enough for being a subscriber if you

00:00:21.960 are if you aren't what are you thinking get 20 off right now the promo code is gb20 off

00:00:29.020 at blaze tv.com so we go through some of the uh some of the transcripts today that have been

00:00:35.340 released we talked to chris stewart who has a really interesting perspective because he's been

00:00:42.440 in all of the skiff hearings yeah he's seen a lot of this testimony actually happened yeah uh and uh

00:00:48.500 he has a different viewpoint than i've noticed from like the new york times you notice that i did

00:00:53.760 notice that also china of course it's the future of course it's lovable i mean who doesn't love

00:01:00.300 socialism and communism and unless you're a video game player some of the new rules that could have

00:01:06.800 been ripped off right from the campaign trail of michael bloomberg yeah uh this is why we need

00:01:13.740 kanye 2024 yeah that's right which we also talk about china's new video game rules all of that and

00:01:18.460 more on today's podcast it's monday the beginning of impeachment week yay oh i'm so excited about

00:01:42.700 impeachment week have you put your tree up yet your impeachment tree yeah yeah with all of the

00:01:48.840 with all of the uh trump people that we can lynch on the impeachment tree in our own homes it's going

00:01:55.600 to be very very exciting um here is my worst nightmare my worst nightmare is that everybody makes this

00:02:03.500 just about donald trump and the fight with joe biden because that is not what this is about

00:02:10.480 it doesn't make sense that all of a sudden nancy pelosi with all of the things that trump has done

00:02:19.900 takes this one ukrainian phone call something where joe biden did exactly the same thing except joe biden

00:02:28.660 strangely gets credit as this great hero for telling a nation to stop looking in and investigating

00:02:36.280 corruption don't investigate where our seven billion dollars is he gets credit for being a hero for

00:02:44.480 doing that and yet trump just says hey i want to know where that is go ahead and investigate please

00:02:52.520 investigate and he's held uh for impeachment now why on god's green earth would you bring up

00:03:05.320 impeachment on that certainly not to strengthen your front runner because this has not strengthened

00:03:12.220 joe biden doesn't really hurt him though either to be honest his polling is holding no but are you

00:03:17.100 willing to 11 in the last but are you willing to roll the dice on that as nancy pelosi hey let's bring

00:03:22.120 up the barisma thing i don't know i mean i i it's it's a bizarre it's a bizarre path it's a bizarre

00:03:29.400 because there's been so many things that they put place so much attention on so i mean muller is the

00:03:34.880 most obvious example but there's plenty of them where they've spent so much attention on trying to

00:03:39.300 convince the american people that this was a an impeachable situation and yet this came out before

00:03:47.140 anyone even knew any of the details about it before they even had the transcript of the call they were

00:03:51.080 saying it was impeachable and why would you bring attention to uh ukraine and joe biden your front

00:04:00.940 runner on something that is risky that you could just avoid and leave alone why would you do that

00:04:08.620 especially when you know two people in ukraine were convicted of tampering with the united states

00:04:17.240 election on behalf of the dnc and hillary clinton so you're pointing the cameras toward the scene of

00:04:26.280 the crime

00:04:26.880 now we know from you know murder investigations the first person that you're supposed to

00:04:36.520 investigate as the suspect is the one who calls it in okay the one who finds the body

00:04:42.780 is the one that you start there okay you found the body and how'd you find the body uh-huh and then

00:04:49.660 when you rule them out you can expand well the ones who found this body is the dnc but they believe

00:04:58.320 that they control the media so tightly they control google and facebook and youtube and everybody

00:05:04.780 else so tightly that they can actually get a president thrown out of office and not have to pay for any of

00:05:15.640 their crimes and we are talking about crimes here this is not high crimes and misdemeanors which is

00:05:22.580 political these are crimes so what is this really about

00:05:28.880 well uh you know i'm a fan stew is not a fan of marvel i'm a fan of marvel and i'm very excited about

00:05:41.460 uh the the beginning of disney plus this week because disney plus has some new marvel uh shows on it

00:05:50.540 that are going to be premiering that i imagine are good seeing that they spent 25 million dollars

00:05:57.200 per episode that's insanity incredible i think i i um um what was it game of thrones

00:06:06.120 was 15 million dollars an episode okay most expensive 15 million dollars an episode the average

00:06:14.200 is about 4 million dollars an episode this is 25 million it better be damn good but i'm a fan of

00:06:25.240 marvel and so i'm i'm excited to see marvel and and as we were looking into this if we realized what

00:06:33.120 we're dealing here with is a is a reality version of hydra and if you watched you know any of the marvels

00:06:43.260 you know that hydra is kind of like specter is to james bond except hydra is uh is looking for a new

00:06:52.600 world order and uh they're going they're they're using four different categories to be able to bring

00:07:00.260 that that new world order into play and they use these four independent sectors and with their players

00:07:10.440 inside of these sectors they're able to take over the world or at least that's what they think

00:07:16.660 so the the hydra itself is split into four independent sectors the international corporations

00:07:24.320 and they use legitimate businesses to conceal their illicit activities they use government

00:07:32.420 acts assets they use you know individuals within the chain of command and they they like to do it

00:07:41.040 not in the administrations but they do it in the bureaucracies because there's very little turnover

00:07:48.300 in the bureaucracy then they use global criminal groups and those are for the short-term goals

00:07:55.900 also used to deflect unwanted interest from global law enforcement community so they are they're in bed

00:08:03.140 with really bad oligarchs and criminals and then intelligence agencies they use the government's

00:08:12.780 intelligence agencies to be able to know exactly what's going on all around the world now why would i bring

00:08:21.180 up hydra what does hydra have to do with the impeachment hearings this week a lot a lot because

00:08:34.240 this is revolving around ukraine and as we told you in our last special when we started looking into

00:08:42.240 ukraine we found some things that we didn't expect to find yes we found corruption it's ukraine

00:08:50.600 yes we found uh burisma and in just implausible story about joe biden and his son that it was

00:09:02.540 completely innocent and that joe biden knew nothing about this well joe biden didn't need to joe biden

00:09:09.520 was over there to break up the the national gas and oil companies and restructure so all he had to do

00:09:19.340 was just start hammering all of the infrastructure of oil and gas and have his son on the board of

00:09:26.340 directors of one company and of course everybody's going to look at that in a corrupt nation and go

00:09:32.220 oh i see how this works okay so if his son is over on the board of directors of that one that one is the

00:09:39.280 chosen winner because that's what corrupt governments do they pick and choose winners and losers 1.00

00:09:44.940 so you didn't really have to be in cahoots with anything you just have to have your son known to be on that

00:09:54.020 board of directors and of course all the government contracts will go there because everybody wants

00:10:01.100 more from the united states because all we were providing were blankets they're fighting russia

00:10:08.880 we're providing blankets how about some tanks how about some you know guns airplanes what do you say

00:10:20.160 no no we'll provide you tanks and or we'll provide you blankets and maybe more maybe more but you've got

00:10:27.920 got to do a few things that we say you have to do now could be could be that they just you know

00:10:40.780 america just hates russia so much that uh we were just gonna give them blankets to fight against russia 0.84

00:10:51.060 that doesn't work it could be well no it it really can't be anything else it looks like

00:10:59.320 we were trying to infiltrate their government

00:11:02.700 and set up a government that we could control

00:11:08.500 but the american people would find out and american people wouldn't like that

00:11:16.500 how else could we do it hydra

00:11:20.820 on wednesday we're going to show you

00:11:25.480 exactly what this state department has been building not just in ukraine but all over the world

00:11:35.460 we're going to show you a plan that was started by barack obama and hillary clinton

00:11:42.520 oh and another old familiar face

00:11:45.440 and and what they did in our state department and put it into play that has everyone screaming

00:11:57.500 bloody murder because whether trump knew it or not

00:12:01.400 he stumbled into something that would expose all of it

00:12:07.640 and so the state department started to say hey hey hey hey he's he's he's in this territory

00:12:14.740 we don't want him in this territory he can't be over here he can't stop this he can't do anything over here

00:12:21.400 so whether trump was doing it because he wanted all that dirt on on joe biden

00:12:27.160 because he clearly never said hey by the way i'm not going to pay you unless you get my

00:12:33.040 unless you get my uh my my opponent you get dirt on him you take him down otherwise i'm not going to

00:12:40.260 give you the 400 million he never said any of that but let's just say that was his desire

00:12:45.580 what he actually did was set off a chain of events that was going to expose exactly

00:12:54.900 what the dnc hillary clinton barack obama and the u.s department of state

00:13:02.480 is doing in your name with your money all over the world and it ain't pretty it's wednesday

00:14:05.680 hey it's glenn and you're listening to the glenn beck program if you like what you're hearing on this

00:14:16.520 show make sure you check out pat gray unleashed it's available wherever you download your favorite

00:14:22.200 podcasts so our next president in 2024 could be kanye kanye west kanye has come out and he said uh that

00:14:35.880 he was gonna run uh in 2024 and then people started to laugh and he's like what are you laughing at yeah

00:14:43.500 he did not like that they laughed at that no he's not happy about it yeah so when i run for president

00:14:49.120 2024 we would have created so many jobs in fact i'm gonna walk what i'm saying is when you all read

00:14:55.860 the headlines kanye's crazy this and that and this and that it's like one in three african americans are

00:15:02.580 in jail and all the celebrities are in jail also because they can't say nothing they've got no opinion

00:15:09.820 they're so scared yeah i heard i heard the audio of this statement and i could not decipher what he

00:15:17.140 was talking about i you know i'm reading it and i can't really decipher what he's talking about

00:15:22.140 he's talking about though because and i know this from his past statement which is a little more

00:15:25.540 coherent than this he was talking about the number of african americans in jail and and that that this

00:15:30.960 is this is what they've wrought from supporting democrats all these years this is what has happened to

00:15:36.340 is that there's there's very few um fathers in in heading the household in black families

00:15:43.680 that is so many african americans are in prison so many are hooked on drugs so many are hooked on

00:15:49.120 the welfare system and he's fighting against it i mean he really he sounds more conservative now than

00:15:56.860 he did when he first started doing the maga thing it sounds like he knows what he's talking about now

00:16:01.600 whereas before he just liked trump and he didn't really necessarily it didn't seem to me anyway

00:16:06.640 like he knew yeah really what trump stood for or if he supported it now i think he does and he does

00:16:14.060 support it the one thing he's been pretty consistent on i think is he's offended by the idea that he has

00:16:20.100 to believe a certain way because he's very much that part i love that yeah i mean i love that too

00:16:24.540 yeah i love that's a really that's a really basic thing you know you're an individual you get to make

00:16:29.020 your own choices aren't you offended by all of the things that you're supposed to believe because

00:16:34.120 you're a conservative you are supposed to hate children you are supposed to like people dying in 0.76

00:16:41.400 front of hospitals without care you are supposed to like starving people to death you are supposed to

00:16:47.460 just love war in all of its forms oh i do love that i mean those are well i mean yeah obviously that

00:16:52.680 in the hospital yes yeah there's nothing better than the hospital one too i mean we're all

00:16:58.380 used to being offended because we're supposed to believe these things when that's not what we

00:17:03.880 believe the same thing with kanye he's like wait a minute just because i'm i'm a different color

00:17:11.320 i'm supposed to believe these things and as he's telling people what's more racist than that

00:17:17.440 because i'm black i have to believe like you do because i'm black i have to vote for democrats i have

00:17:24.720 to keep voting to stay on the plantation there's nothing more racist than that yeah nothing and

00:17:30.380 and you know look that racism is collectivism they are the one of the same one is just a version of

00:17:35.540 the other and you know you have we constantly talk about identity politics and like oh well

00:17:39.840 black voters want this and you know that is just collectivism you're just taking these tiny 0.99

00:17:44.820 these groups shall work for these groups and these groups should believe we're all individuals

00:17:49.660 and kanye west is i think a powerful force at least in illustrating that point whether he knows what

00:17:56.940 he's talking about on any of these issues i don't know okay so can i ask you another thing that i'm not

00:18:01.540 sure if he knows what he's talking about and and i'm i'm sure he does more than i do but last week

00:18:08.460 it came out that he and his wife kim had a disagreement about her met gala gown did you hear this

00:18:14.300 no okay i missed that yeah no i did try to stay up on her met gala gown no i know that um the only 0.62

00:18:20.100 reason why this caught my eye is because um the headline kim kardashian removed fake nipples from her 0.97

00:18:30.800 met gala dress after kanye voiced displeasure that they were there or that they weren't there no that

00:18:37.560 they were there they were and he said uh let's see here he said it was actually quite amazing i

00:18:43.220 didn't even know that was a thing i didn't know that i know no he said while looking at my wife

00:18:48.080 oh my girl needs to be dressed like these other girls showing her body off showing this showing 1.00

00:18:52.400 that i didn't realize that it was affecting my soul and spirit as someone who's married in love

00:18:57.740 uh the father of what's about to be four kids uh a corset is a form of underwear it's hot it's like

00:19:05.560 it's hot for who though so i that was my question in this whole thing is you know what whatever

00:19:12.940 i didn't know there was such a thing as fake nipples yeah i didn't either and she apparently 1.00

00:19:17.760 removed them where do you buy them what do they look like i mean how do you attach them do you attach

00:19:26.820 them to you do you attach them to the dress is it something that a woman would want to receive hey 1.00

00:19:32.640 honey here's some fake nipples because your real ones i don't like right i mean how does that 1.00

00:19:38.080 is it just do you sew them onto the dress so do you have do you buy them in sets i don't know i mean 0.87

00:19:44.840 i'm sure you buy them in sets of two but do you buy them in sets of six one would be a weird purchase

00:19:49.860 one singular nipple would be a very odd purchase i think to me i feel like they come in like a

00:19:55.660 almost like an egg crate where you're getting like several pairs and they're disposable

00:19:59.300 that's that's how i would envision it if that product doesn't exist so wait a minute so do the

00:20:04.700 fake nipples do you wear them they're one use i think they're one use nipples but wait kind of

00:20:10.840 like contact lenses right but hold it just the same of the night do you attach them to the dress or you 0.85

00:20:16.220 i'm gonna go with you're gonna probably attach i would say probably to the dress right because if you

00:20:25.600 if you attach them to you and you wear a bra then you're kind of losing the point of the fake nipples

00:20:30.200 correct so i think the point of i i'm assuming the point of this is the point i guess i hadn't really

00:20:35.440 considered i have no idea you want to see the point you see nipples you think they're real

00:20:42.520 who knew that they would yeah who knew that they were fake who knew that they were fake

00:20:47.580 we've been deceived we have way too many ways again women just so deceitful women wow can't live with 1.00

00:20:53.980 them no so anyway uh we'd like to find out at least i would i just like to i'd like to get to 0.99

00:21:03.660 the bottom some answers yeah because maybe he's crazy maybe he's like my wife's wearing fake nipples 0.98

00:21:08.420 and she's like i don't have fake nipples he always says i have fake nipples i know 1.00

00:21:12.120 this is the best of the glenn beck program 0.79

00:21:18.280 hey it's glenn and if you like what you hear on the program you should check out pat gray unleashed

00:21:34.200 his podcast is available wherever you download your favorite podcast

00:21:37.960 hi it's glenn if you're a subscriber to the podcast can you do us a favor and rate us on

00:21:43.000 itunes if you're not a subscriber become one today and listen on your own time you can subscribe on

00:21:48.920 itunes thanks all right so let's look at the uh impeachment uh and what we expect to be happening

00:21:57.160 this week in the next couple of months and then we're going to go into some of the transcripts we're

00:22:00.520 about to get into the you know thanksgiving is coming up we're about to lose ourselves in the

00:22:05.080 holidays so let me just plan out your nightmare wonderful doesn't it over the past year i know

00:22:10.100 lose ourselves in the holidays i know i love that i know i want to be allowed to lose myself in the

00:22:15.000 holiday me too i'm going to this comes from cnn which you might say oh i don't know cnn fake news

00:22:19.480 but they do seem to be almost like planning the impeachment hearings on the air so they have a

00:22:25.580 pretty good sense as to when things are going to happen here's what nancy plose is going to say 0.99

00:22:29.320 today because we told her so so so far we have uh transcripts uh from the inquiry of about 2700 pages

00:22:37.840 of transcripts uh we have fiona hill george kent michael mckinley gordon sondland bill taylor uh

00:22:46.060 alexander vindman colt volker and mary yovanovich she was the uh the ambassador so we still have

00:22:53.140 christopher anderson laura cooper katherine croft david hale uh tim morrison philip reeker jennifer

00:22:58.500 williams to be released so we still don't have about half of the transcripts of the behind the

00:23:04.240 scenes stuff they've already done okay so that's step one that's at some point these things will

00:23:09.640 start uh trickling out and we'll get all of them wednesday is a big day for a few different reasons

00:23:14.900 number one there's a big special on blaze tv you should go to blaze tv.com use the promo code gb20

00:23:21.060 off get 20 off your subscription uh helps support these things and it's about the impeachment we'll get

00:23:26.340 into the the exact details as to what we're going to cover with this special on wednesday uh but you

00:23:33.200 can get it for free on youtube you can share it on youtube and all these other places but certainly

00:23:37.840 your subscription is is welcome uh to support all these efforts that is one thing on the other side

00:23:44.660 is the first uh live testimony we're going to get in public this is going to come from uh kent and

00:23:52.780 taylor now taylor is one of the uh he's the former ambassador uh top u.s diplomat in ukraine he's one

00:23:58.880 of the guys that was texting about basically there was a quid pro quo he's one of their one of their

00:24:03.680 star witnesses i would say um there's also uh kent who is really critical of the president so they're

00:24:09.620 leading with some of their best material here um this is november 13th which is wednesday uh then

00:24:15.700 on friday you're you're gonna get testimony from yovanovitch she is the former uh ambassador to

00:24:22.500 ukraine uh and was fired basically by the trump administration she's the ambassador that everyone

00:24:28.860 said uh was stopping uh any investigations by the ukrainians into government u.s government officials

00:24:37.720 uh into uh the anti-corruption bureau uh into anything doing with george soros anything having

00:24:46.860 to do with burisma stopping all investigations and stopping any information coming into the united

00:24:53.400 states she wouldn't provide visas nor deliver any information from the uh prosecutor general in

00:25:00.340 ukraine that's pretty significant of course now they don't you know i don't talk about that but

00:25:07.480 maybe they will i mean this is a chance for republicans to ask some questions too now next

00:25:12.440 week is another week they believe of live testimony and what's fascinating to me about this is next

00:25:20.400 week is next week uh i'm trying i'm losing track of my weeks here how many weeks until actually

00:25:25.660 thanksgiving is uh two weeks so two free weeks before the thanksgiving week you are really bumping

00:25:33.040 up against the holidays here with your live testimony it's probably the last week where your

00:25:37.340 people are really going to pay all that much attention to this at least on the top of their

00:25:42.940 news cycle people drift in and out around the holidays they're going to christmas parties they're

00:25:46.780 going to you know thanksgiving dinners gatherings all these things news we know this from years and

00:25:51.960 years and years of experience the the marketplace for news drifts off a little bit in december so it's

00:25:58.480 weird to place things that you want attention on in december if you can help it well you would make

00:26:04.300 sure that you lead with the with the ones that you think are the safest and the ones that are going

00:26:12.540 to make it through any kind of cross-examination you do that this week then you go with your second

00:26:19.920 tier next week and then after that it doesn't matter like eventually they just start michael avenatti

00:26:25.140 starts bringing people in and then you know they're almost done yeah they're almost done then they're

00:26:29.000 they're like whatever because the people are like yeah yeah how many days till christmas i gotta get

00:26:33.540 some shopping done right so uh so the next two weeks of live testimony then we go on to thanksgiving

00:26:39.320 week where they're sure to take a break vacation time uh then they come back and they there's a

00:26:46.820 funding that's the government that needs to be funded uh which is you know your typical debate that

00:26:52.360 would highlight and be the first thing people will be talking about in the news yeah but again

00:26:56.640 why did they put it at this time of the year yeah it disappears bury it it disappears uh then you

00:27:03.140 have um then you have the december so what the rest of the schedule is so after we get all of these

00:27:10.240 all this testimony done the house goes and they come up with you know their charges of impeachment if

00:27:14.660 there are any because who knows maybe they'll decide there aren't there's nothing needed nothing

00:27:17.680 wrong i mean i know this is a fair and open process and maybe they'll just decide you know what

00:27:21.640 looks like the president was clean here maybe that will happen but likely they'll go back and come up

00:27:25.900 with articles of impeachment if they do that they think they will have a committee report

00:27:30.140 uh and vote on the first week of december as early as the first week of december um and that is uh

00:27:39.120 you have the votes then the next week so you have the the reports the the charges the hearings

00:27:44.200 then the vote the next week which would be uh probably december 16th they think again you're

00:27:50.480 now in the mid i mean who is paying attention to the news on december 16th right like this is

00:27:56.520 it's bizarre now i will say the clinton test the clinton impeachment vote did happen on december 19th

00:28:01.680 1998 so it's not the first time this has happened at this sort of time period um but it is sort of in

00:28:07.740 the middle of the christmas holiday and this would be the type of thing now they're not committing to

00:28:14.400 that timeline but that's basically what you're looking at they're saying now they think they're going to get

00:28:18.480 a vote done completely by the end of the year i mean it's it's optimistic i think for them i mean if

00:28:24.060 you don't think there's going to be twists and turns in this thing here's the here's the thing i'm

00:28:29.020 concerned about i'm concerned that the gop is not going to allow it to proceed to the senate and i think

00:28:39.260 that is a massive massive mistake you you're sure about that yeah you can't you cannot you have to start

00:28:49.480 playing offensively this is they're putting us into a defensive mode play offense good we've got some

00:28:58.500 things we'd like to introduce uh to the american people as well uh we've got our own uh witnesses to call

00:29:05.500 we have our own pieces of evidence uh to bring in and they want to do that they want to bring people like

00:29:10.960 hunter biden in to testify right but they think the democrats are going to block that from happening

00:29:15.700 well you can do that i believe you can do that in the house but i don't believe you can do that

00:29:22.760 in the senate because the senate the president has a right he has his own attorney so he has defense

00:29:29.560 so he can bring up all of the stuff that he said in the phone call hey you know i want to know about

00:29:36.120 uh the corruption with the election tampering i want to know uh what was happening uh with

00:29:44.040 burisma i want to know what was happening with our seven billion dollars they do not want that to come up

00:29:51.960 and so far i don't know why but so far you don't have a lot of uh republicans talking about this yeah

00:30:01.920 they've got to go on the offense i think a lot of republicans think that's not the offense though

00:30:08.300 they think that giving into a senate trial is giving it too much credibility i tend to agree with

00:30:14.660 you blow it out of the water yeah because here's what you think again we these things are tough to

00:30:20.780 predict but i mean generalizing here what's going to happen is the democrats in the house are going

00:30:24.640 to bring out their best evidence and there's not really going to be a chance to push back on other

00:30:28.680 types of related issues in public because that's not the way it's formatted so that's this is why

00:30:34.040 they like it right they get all the bad stuff out they don't have to deal with the other stuff and it

00:30:37.320 goes uh to the end of the year they get the impeachment vote and they can tell all their people that yeah we

00:30:42.100 got that done all the senators you know and and they can all brag about how their party is the one that was

00:30:46.980 able to impeach donald trump for the primary and then it goes to the senate and if mitch mcconnell

00:30:51.660 says you know what this is nothing and this is this is political and we're not going to talk about it

00:30:55.820 then they have that argument of this is the first time in history which it would be that the senate

00:31:01.600 did not take up an impeachment that was done in the house uh it is it was it would be one of those

00:31:06.100 things where they would have an argument that say essentially the the republicans are just ignoring

00:31:10.400 all the bad things that they're doing if you bring if you have the trial it's not like the

00:31:16.320 the democrats are going to come up with additional information on this they're going to blow it all

00:31:20.960 here on this impeachment thing so you're going to get a rehash of all the stuff we've already heard

00:31:25.040 and then additional evidence of all the things that the republicans can talk about that they can't

00:31:31.020 get away with talking about in the house not to mention that it will pull all the senators that 1.00

00:31:35.560 are presidential candidates off of the campaign and they will i think it is i think this is i think

00:31:40.460 this is just destruction i think if every single senator stands up from the republican side this is

00:31:50.400 nothing but a circus this is a waste of american time and american money but the american people need

00:31:58.780 to know what the democrats are willing to do to overthrow a duly elected president so i vote bring it on

00:32:10.520 if they approach it that way and every single one of them when they are voting say that 0.91

00:32:18.960 don't just say yay don't say yay say damn right bring it on

00:32:27.560 you have to have because what will happen is just a vote they'll say oh my gosh 60 republicans think 0.94

00:32:35.580 this should be looked into as well no no no all of them need to be in lockstep this is a trial that

00:32:43.340 is going to reveal the truth not about what happened on that phone call because we all know that's a farce

00:32:51.800 we are only voting yes so the president has a right to defend himself to show exactly what the dnc

00:33:01.860 has been doing what hillary clinton's role was in collusion with ukraine you want to bring it up you

00:33:10.480 want to expose you want to you want to have an honest conversation democrats bring it on and what and

00:33:16.940 what are the what are the democrats going to bring to the table there they're going to be able to bring

00:33:20.580 up the third time we've heard testimony from taylor yeah like what are you what are you going to go to

00:33:26.320 there right i mean when you see stew when you see what the special is this wednesday the evidence that

00:33:35.140 we have you look at just the evidence that we have we have two people that were convicted

00:33:40.500 for working with the dnc and hillary clinton in collusion with the ukrainian government to thwart our

00:33:49.740 election they've already been convicted if we have the tape of them admitting it you're not seeing

00:33:56.600 that anywhere are you it's high time the american people see it and the president can use it in his

00:34:04.120 defense because it's not unrelated it's not unrelated that's what he was talking about in the phone call

00:34:11.960 and all of those people when he says look there are some people that were involved here and i think

00:34:18.140 they're still around you all of the names that we have on the chalkboard fair game if they're making it

00:34:25.820 about the phone call it opens up the door for all of it to be exposed and on wednesday you'll see how

00:34:34.820 deep this thing goes we thought this was about ukraine until we were doing the special for the last special

00:34:42.660 and we were doing research and we came across a name and it popped up in one of the hearings and we're

00:34:48.280 like oh my gosh wait until you see i like to call it the democrats hydra

00:35:59.000 including things that people who voted for barack obama wanted to stop this one opens up the entire

00:36:07.960 can of worms join us wednesday

00:36:12.520 this is the best of the glenn beck program

00:36:17.480 like listening to this podcast if you're not a subscriber become one now on itunes and while

00:36:33.500 you're there do us a favor and rate the show it's monday the impeachment hearings begin and

00:36:39.180 chris stewart has been kind enough to be able to make time in his schedule uh he's a congressman

00:36:45.440 from utah that has been in the skiff have you not been you've been you have first-hand experience

00:36:51.280 in the skiff do you not first-hand experience on more than one occasion glenn and before we get

00:36:57.160 in that let me say happy veterans day to all our veterans god bless them all out there if you

00:37:00.940 would let me absolutely i know you're a veteran so happy veterans day to you and your family

00:37:05.860 is just riddled with heroes and uh i'm grateful for everything that they've done along with all

00:37:11.900 the other veterans so chris um first of all just side note you're you're in on these impeachment

00:37:17.760 hearings you've been sitting there and listening to this in the skiff yeah yeah glenn and not just

00:37:22.980 for the last six weeks by the way this goes back really three years i mean for three years the

00:37:28.060 intelligence committee which is one of the most important committees in congress the work we do

00:37:33.180 really matters we've been diverted for years now on first the russian collusion uh the muller report

00:37:40.720 you know obstruction of justice and then they ran out of uh ran out of ammunition there so now we're

00:37:46.440 doing impeachment on ukraine so why not yeah i've been there day after day i've been doing that

00:37:51.900 can you tell me uh first of all just just for casual interest what's the skiff like is it a

00:37:58.320 regular room is it like in the movies where there's a glass box in the room yeah is it like that not as

00:38:04.260 not as mysterious as it may sound i mean it's a secure facility you have uh obvious heightened

00:38:10.020 security around it you go down the hallway through a uh a very heavy it's not really a blast door but

00:38:16.520 it's a door in north that will contain any electronic emissions or any any sound and then you go through

00:38:21.980 another inner door and after that it's much like any other kind of office space there's a couple of

00:38:27.740 hearing rooms some conference rooms a library that's kind of disappointing and uh yeah yeah kind of

00:38:32.720 disappointing i like the movie skiff better okay so chris um we we now have from uh schiff

00:38:39.980 what is going to happen he says as we move to open hearings it's important to underscore that the

00:38:47.400 impeachment inquiry and the committee will not serve as vehicles for any member to carry out the

00:38:53.720 same sham investigations into the biden's or debunked conspiracies about a 2016 u.s election

00:39:01.100 interference that president trump oppressed ukraine to conduct for his own political benefit the committee

00:39:07.580 also will not facilitate efforts by president trump and his allies in congress to threaten intimidate

00:39:12.640 retaliate against the whistleblower who courageously raised the initial alarm it remains the duty of

00:39:18.540 the intelligence committee to protect whistleblowers and until recently this was a bipartisan priority

00:39:23.200 the whistleblower has rights under laws championed by the committee to remain anonymous and be protected

00:39:28.560 from harm the impeachment inquiry moreover has gathered an ever-growing body of evidence from witnesses

00:39:34.360 and documents including president's own words on his july 25th phone call that not only confirms but

00:39:39.920 exceeds the initial in information from the whistleblower's complaint the whistleblower testimony is therefore

00:39:46.700 redundant and unnecessary wow well i mean it's just nonsense glenn there's so much in that that is just

00:39:56.420 nonsense but that's the way this investigation has been conducted from the very beginning you know that

00:40:01.840 letter is in response to our request for six additional witnesses and you know they write up

00:40:08.400 the resolution that governs this impeachment inquiry in such a way that we can't even call our own

00:40:13.660 witnesses we can't ask the questions that we want to ask everything we do is subject to the approval of

00:40:19.800 the chair and you won't approve any of it imagine a defense can you imagine a defense where you're actually

00:40:25.800 a trial and the judge says well you can't call any defense witnesses or your defense attorney can't

00:40:31.960 make certain arguments that's what we're in the middle of here and that's what adam schiff is doing

00:40:35.920 but glenn no one is surprised about this i mean truly we're not surprised it's the way this has been

00:40:41.240 conducted from the beginning and it's the only way they can conduct it and have the narrative that they

00:40:45.840 want that the press will then go out and mimic to try to convince the american people

00:40:50.120 so you what is the plan then because what you're you're not facing a hearing you're you're facing an

00:40:57.840 inquisition and adam schiff is schiff is the grand inquisitor if he makes all of the rules and they

00:41:05.260 don't apply to any kind of natural american rules what do you what do you have here besides an inquisition

00:41:12.720 well i think there's a couple things number one is just like with the kavanaugh hearings where they

00:41:17.660 took the presumption of innocence the idea that you've got to face your accuser we took these

00:41:21.840 principles that we've supported and defended for a thousand years and threw them out the window

00:41:26.040 the american people are offended by it and they are offended by this as well so part of the argument is

00:41:30.760 we point out how unfair it is how just unfair it is not to be able to call our own witnesses and make

00:41:36.760 our own arguments but i don't think we win on that glenn i think the biggest thing is what you've been

00:41:41.100 saying for the last week and that is playing out the absurdity of the argument at its core

00:41:46.460 of course american uh intelligence or american law enforcement agencies investigate and work with

00:41:53.980 foreign governments to investigate crime and corruption of course we do has anyone ever heard

00:41:59.140 of interpol we do that all the time and the second thing is of course we do principle pro of course we

00:42:06.340 withhold aid i mean we had a president who came to power in ukraine that none of us knew he came out of

00:42:12.180 nowhere we didn't know if he was corrupt or not and it would be perfectly legal and perfectly within

00:42:17.360 the realm of not just legality but common sense to say hey we should understand this individual

00:42:22.160 he even said we can trust he even says in the phone call look um our intelligence shows that some of

00:42:29.560 the corrupt people are still around you and he says no i know who they are and he says no miss president

00:42:35.700 i don't think you do know who they are but we believe they're still around you and influencing you

00:42:40.940 so the president is questioning the guy's credibility and saying look we don't know if you're corrupt or

00:42:47.760 not and you have to show us that you're not exactly i mean this is from the president again we didn't

00:42:54.160 know anything about we knew that he was supported by some oligarchs now some of these oligarchs are

00:42:58.900 claiming that they're to fight corruption but that's a that's a difficult argument to accept on its face

00:43:04.040 and so the president was saying we need to understand him and by the way glenn this is

00:43:07.800 important for those of us who work in national security intelligence we have heard early in the

00:43:12.680 spring when this election first took place there would likely be a hold on some of the military aid

00:43:18.300 that we were going to provide you the crane while we evaluated the new president and the new

00:43:23.000 administration again that's perfectly understandable in fact it's expected and and i think the last thing

00:43:29.660 on this is another core argument people are making is yeah you can investigate people but you can't

00:43:34.980 investigate politicians if you're running for office you can't be investigated i think that's an absurd

00:43:41.040 argument to make if you want to have american people talk about the elites in washington go ahead and

00:43:46.300 make the argument that you can investigate anyone except for someone running for office like vice president

00:43:50.860 biden was they're beyond an investigation it's improper to ask questions about them i think that's a nutty

00:43:56.580 argument to make so uh chris are do you believe that you guys are just going to be shouted down uh i mean

00:44:04.900 you know when you say the kavanaugh hearing the kavanaugh hearing it was made because we heard from the two

00:44:12.640 sides if you can't call the right witnesses and you can't ask questions it was the republicans that

00:44:19.280 were asking those questions that that revealed who she was and then it was kavanaugh's opening

00:44:26.160 statement where do you what do you have uh and and what tools do you have to be able to

00:44:34.080 have those people make the case because nobody's going to listen to the people giving speeches up on

00:44:40.860 the by the committee yeah well i glenn i think there's a couple things one thing the rules of

00:44:45.780 engagement with the closed hearings are going to have to open up you're not going to have have instances

00:44:50.720 like there was with me and others where chairman schiff actually wouldn't let me ask a question

00:44:56.560 or phrase a question the way that i wanted to although i insisted and didn't change my question

00:45:01.100 and you know the witness wouldn't answer but they're not going to be able to do that

00:45:04.420 in open session like they have been able to do in a closed session then the second thing is even if

00:45:09.720 we're not able to call our witnesses which is incredibly destructive to the sense of fairness about

00:45:15.400 this but once again we can go point out to the american people how how absurd that is if you're

00:45:21.600 interested in a fair a fair process fair to both sides and then i think the third thing is this and

00:45:27.700 it's not it's something that we've talked about much but that is this has to go to the senate and

00:45:33.380 the senate will operate by their own rules and the senate i think if they wanted to hear from some of

00:45:38.020 these other individuals they'd have an opportunity to do that so i think at the end of the day the senate

00:45:42.640 may wash out some of this you know other things that we're seeing here in the house why should

00:45:47.840 why should this whistleblower be quote-unquote exposed yeah you know the law on that is very

00:45:57.720 clear and it's been contorted and that's not surprising it's not the only thing that has been

00:46:02.460 but there's been this contortion saying that it's illegal to expose him it's not it's it's illegal or

00:46:08.540 inappropriate for the inspector general who is conducting the investigation to expose him or to

00:46:14.320 reveal who he is the point being is you wouldn't want to have reprisals from his co-workers or his

00:46:19.960 supervisors to fall down upon him but this is something quite different you can't initiate

00:46:25.520 the impeachment of the president united states and expect to remain unanimous and not have to answer

00:46:31.480 any questions and there are meaningful questions that we want to ask this whistleblower we want to do it

00:46:37.160 in person such that we can evaluate him so that we can see his response that's an important part of

00:46:42.500 of any any hearing that's why you have court where you bring the witnesses before the jury you don't

00:46:47.780 just have them sit in a back room and answer questions in writing and we really hope you have a chance

00:46:53.280 to talk with this whistleblower face to face the american people deserve to hear from him so

00:46:58.160 chris i i have to tell you um i don't know if you've seen the chalkboards uh specials that i've

00:47:04.980 done but uh they have his fingerprints i mean he is he's like capone's accountant he his fingerprints

00:47:14.260 are in and around all of the things uh that have transpired with with biden uh with the ambassador

00:47:23.280 with chalupa i mean he's there it's yeah he's there at the scene of the crime the whole time

00:47:29.000 the whole time well it's him and others uh other friends he's not the only one no no i know that

00:47:35.320 yep yep well and again that's those are great examples as you've pointed out now for a couple

00:47:41.340 weeks glenn those are great examples of fair questions that the american people should have a

00:47:46.020 response to chris stewart um what do you do now today and tomorrow when when should we start

00:47:53.460 seeing things what should we be looking for how's this play out in the next couple of days

00:47:58.940 well you know i'm actually here in southern utah today flying back to dc tonight we're going to have

00:48:03.800 some strategy meetings tomorrow where we're going to have opportunities to kind of sit down as a

00:48:08.400 republican caucus and sit and kind of work out how we think we'll handle these open hearings i got to

00:48:13.200 tell you glenn i don't think they're going to be very compelling i don't think there's any surprises

00:48:18.060 that are coming either way there's not going to be any groundbreaking moment where you think oh man

00:48:22.720 the president is in a lot of trouble and on the other hand there's not going to be anything where

00:48:26.480 you think oh this is exculpatory there's nothing there it just is what it is uh but i guess we'll just

00:48:32.220 jump into the first hearing on wednesday and uh and see how that first one goes and then maybe

00:48:36.740 evaluate what what changes we might make in our strategy after that wow so um you are you because

00:48:44.640 i said this morning i think the president needs to i think the senate needs to take this and start

00:48:50.460 playing offense um and take this up because if you're not going to get anywhere with it uh and

00:48:56.940 you're just going to have you know a tie in the end nobody's nobody's mind is changed and nothing's

00:49:03.980 really been exposed it's got to go to the senate and they've got to start playing offense is that

00:49:10.560 kind of where you think it might go i completely no i agree with you and i alluded to that earlier

00:49:15.780 that the senate won't have their hands tied like we have in the house but is that a personal belief

00:49:21.680 of yours like it is a personal belief of mine or is it something that has a chance of really happening

00:49:26.440 oh i think absolutely has a chance of happening when you talk with when you talk with some of the

00:49:31.600 senators who are going to be involved with this and their approach to this process i think it's

00:49:37.620 no look i'm not in the u.s senate and i don't want to speak for them but i think it's it's more than

00:49:41.980 likely oh that's great okay good i'm glad to hear that because there's a there's a lot to uncover
