The Glenn Beck Program - Best of The Program ｜ Guest： Sheriff Mark Dannels ｜ 3⧸29⧸21

00:00:00.000 Hey, today's episode, uh, should maybe be taken with a grain of salt, maybe a pound of salt, uh, because I opened a bottle that said, you know, don't ingest any of this, you know, if you operate heavy machinery, and I'm like, I'm not driving a bulldozer today, I'm fine.

00:00:21.420 And for the most part, the show went really well, until the last part of the podcast, revolving around George Washington's hair.

00:00:30.500 Yeah, you have to think that the effects of the medication, you can feel them slowly increasing throughout the episode.

00:00:35.740 Yeah, this might be one for the records, uh, you know, or, or, or possibly, you know, at my tribunal before I go into the gulag, possibly, uh, but you don't want to miss today's episode.

00:00:49.740 A really good story, uh, that we begin the episode with on how the Suez Canal was built, and it revolves around a really fat kid, a French man, and macaroni.

00:01:02.880 How do you get the Suez Canal out of that? Oh, believe me, I found a way. It's a great story.

00:01:08.780 We also talked to a sheriff down in Arizona on the border, some really frightening things happening on the border, and we need to wake up.

00:01:16.560 And, uh, he put a plea out in, uh, that segment of the show.

00:01:20.220 And then, of course, George Washington's hair, where it all goes to hell, uh, from there.

00:01:25.820 It's very true.

00:01:27.260 Uh, playsTV.com slash Glenn.

00:01:29.120 The promo code is CONTROL.

00:01:30.440 You'll save 20 bucks off.

00:01:31.500 That special is still going on.

00:01:33.000 Make sure to take advantage of it.

00:01:34.260 And, uh, rate and review this podcast.

00:01:36.860 I mean, we're going to hope you still put it in for five stars.

00:01:39.280 I don't know.

00:01:39.680 After today, we'll see.

00:01:40.920 It could be like, whoa, I don't know what happened.

00:01:43.080 We're telling you now, drugs, don't play this episode for your kids and say, this is what happens.

00:01:50.120 And tonight on Stu Does America, uh, we're going to have, uh, we're going to go into the George Floyd thing a little bit, because today was not the right day to go into this show.

00:01:57.700 For some reason, Stu kept saying, let's not, you shouldn't comment on this today.

00:02:01.540 No one's thinking about that Floyd thing.

00:02:02.780 That's not a big story.

00:02:03.700 That's not a big story at all.

00:02:04.520 Not at all.

00:02:05.300 Uh, make sure to subscribe to Stu Does America as a podcast as well.

00:02:08.300 You can rate and review there as well.

00:02:09.500 We'd appreciate it.

00:02:10.500 Uh, here's the podcast.

00:02:11.960 Good luck.

00:02:13.080 You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck program.

00:02:27.380 This is the Glenn Beck program with some good news.

00:02:30.840 Uh, they just colon blowed that thing out of the canal. 0.75

00:02:35.780 So it is free.

00:02:37.480 Yay.

00:02:38.400 It's free.

00:02:39.200 $9 billion a day in trade were blocked by that.

00:02:43.640 And all they needed to do, Egypt needed a little bit of fiber and they won't get blocked, uh, like that ever again.

00:02:50.020 And, uh, I think that's, uh, that's a good thing.

00:02:52.880 Yeah.

00:02:53.200 It's good.

00:02:53.600 Yeah.

00:02:54.400 It's good.

00:02:55.680 Okay.

00:02:57.280 So we, um, uh, we're here with Pat Gray from Pat Gray Unleashed.

00:03:02.300 Uh, and, uh, welcome to the program.

00:03:04.260 Thank you.

00:03:04.600 Good to be here.

00:03:05.140 Glenn.

00:03:05.240 So, uh, I, I, uh, I was at church yesterday and, uh, I'm about to lose my mind on the whole mask thing.

00:03:13.540 Yeah.

00:03:13.840 I talk about this almost every week after church.

00:03:15.980 Yeah.

00:03:16.200 I am coming out of my skin for that hour.

00:03:18.860 Yeah.

00:03:19.220 Cause I, I hate the mask.

00:03:21.740 It's so hot.

00:03:23.360 Yeah.

00:03:23.560 It's so hot.

00:03:24.160 It's so hot.

00:03:24.920 Then you start singing in it.

00:03:26.300 Well, I'm not going to, I, with the mask, I'm not singing.

00:03:29.760 I'm not going to do it.

00:03:30.640 First of all, we're every other pew.

00:03:32.540 So we're already, we're a million miles away from everybody.

00:03:35.840 The six, the six foot thing was arbitrary.

00:03:39.940 It's three, it's three feet for the, uh, uh, for the WHO.

00:03:44.780 Why aren't we going with WHO standards?

00:03:46.880 I thought they were so great anyway.

00:03:48.960 So we're sitting there and we're singing and then people started coming up.

00:03:52.320 Did you get the vaccine yet?

00:03:53.560 Have you had the vaccine?

00:03:54.460 No.

00:03:55.460 Oh, you're going to get the vaccine.

00:03:56.720 No, you're not going to get the vaccine.

00:03:58.860 No, I've already had COVID.

00:04:00.060 I had COVID.

00:04:00.700 My whole family had COVID.

00:04:02.000 We were for a long time.

00:04:03.980 We were sick.

00:04:04.520 We had COVID.

00:04:05.380 I got it.

00:04:06.860 So you're not going to get the vaccine.

00:04:08.220 No, I'm not going to get the vaccine.

00:04:09.760 Why don't you get the vaccine?

00:04:10.480 When are your kids going to get it?

00:04:10.920 My kids aren't going to get the vaccine.

00:04:12.480 My kids, well, you, so you're not, you don't want, you don't want your family to get the

00:04:16.140 vaccine.

00:04:16.480 No, it's not that I don't want my family to get the vaccine.

00:04:18.860 We already had COVID.

00:04:21.440 Don't need it.

00:04:22.020 We don't need it.

00:04:23.820 You know, if, if I wanted to get it, maybe I would.

00:04:27.080 I, I don't recommend to my kids that they get it because it's generally good, uh, with

00:04:34.380 kids.

00:04:35.000 I mean, my, my kids don't need it.

00:04:38.060 It's not that big of a deal.

00:04:40.480 So when are you going to get it?

00:04:44.260 Oh, and nothing has changed here in Texas.

00:04:47.080 Nothing has changed.

00:04:48.440 Yeah.

00:04:48.640 Pat and I were just talking about this because they, they do this big member.

00:04:51.780 Joe Biden did this Neanderthal thinking speech where he was saying that Texas opening up to

00:04:56.560 100% was going to cause the crash of all humanity.

00:05:00.480 They're going to be piles of dead bodies on every street.

00:05:02.800 And I will tell you that we still club women here in Texas and then just drag them by their 1.00

00:05:06.700 hair.

00:05:07.000 And obviously everybody knows that goes without saying that's with, that's with or without

00:05:12.640 a mask.

00:05:13.320 Yes.

00:05:13.680 So, yeah, that was way before COVID.

00:05:16.260 I mean, we've been doing that since 1836.

00:05:19.640 And now we've had 18 consecutive days of downward motion in our numbers here in Texas.

00:05:24.840 In hospitalizations, in infections, in death, in all of it.

00:05:29.320 It's all going down.

00:05:30.540 The opposite happening in Michigan right now where the numbers are going up considerably

00:05:35.440 where they have not been open 100%.

00:05:38.700 And it's funny because there's two ways this has gone.

00:05:41.440 One is the Neanderthal thinking.

00:05:42.960 Gavin Newsom saying this is reckless behavior and all this nonsense.

00:05:47.180 Everyone thinking that it was going to blow up.

00:05:49.500 And, you know, all of us in Texas sort of yawning and rolling our eyes.

00:05:53.140 And on the other hand.

00:05:53.800 Nothing has really changed.

00:05:54.880 No.

00:05:55.160 I mean, you can have more people in a restaurant.

00:05:57.540 That's about it.

00:05:58.180 That's the other side.

00:05:58.740 I see a lot of people using this as like, well, this proves lockdowns don't work.

00:06:02.260 Not really.

00:06:03.040 We didn't have lockdowns before this and we don't have them now.

00:06:05.700 It really doesn't seem any different than it was before we made the speech.

00:06:08.880 And people do what they think is the right thing to do.

00:06:12.640 They do.

00:06:13.180 So, you know, the Texans are not all walking around just like, I've got a French kiss.

00:06:19.380 Everybody I see today.

00:06:21.560 It's not happening.

00:06:23.020 It's not happening.

00:06:23.980 They're still wearing masks. 1.00

00:06:25.500 And then I'm going to shoot them with my six gun. 1.00

00:06:27.680 That's not what happens. 1.00

00:06:29.380 Well, once in a while.

00:06:30.860 Yeah.

00:06:31.120 Once in a while.

00:06:31.720 The shooting with a six gun.

00:06:33.000 But only those who deserve it.

00:06:35.160 Right.

00:06:36.560 Hey, by the way, speaking of guns, did you hear about Hunter Biden's gun?

00:06:41.180 You know, the.

00:06:41.640 Yeah.

00:06:43.400 Why do you say it that way?

00:06:45.200 Yeah.

00:06:45.580 With an accusatory kind of.

00:06:47.840 Because like, what do you think? 1.00

00:06:49.000 We're stupid? 1.00

00:06:50.480 Is that. 1.00

00:06:50.960 Well, I don't think there's a lot of people informed.

00:06:52.880 I don't think there's a lot of people in the audience that do know this.

00:06:56.620 Okay.

00:06:58.920 Now I don't want to share it.

00:07:00.340 Now I don't want to share it.

00:07:01.120 I feel judged.

00:07:02.100 No.

00:07:02.240 This is an unsafe environment.

00:07:04.620 This is an unsafe environment.

00:07:06.260 What do you mean to make you feel uncomfortable?

00:07:08.080 Well, I feel.

00:07:08.940 And it's in my feelings that really matter.

00:07:11.180 Even though my apology won't matter either.

00:07:12.860 So.

00:07:14.480 So.

00:07:15.080 You're right.

00:07:15.580 You're right.

00:07:15.920 So while the president is pushing gun control, I would just like to stop at the little Hunter 0.88

00:07:23.480 Biden story that.

00:07:26.880 We apparently talked about a long time ago, and I'm going to pretend that I don't remember

00:07:31.120 it.

00:07:31.800 Really?

00:07:32.440 Yeah.

00:07:33.020 Why would you pretend that you don't remember talking about it?

00:07:35.860 You'd like to take credit for every prediction that you've made.

00:07:38.560 Well, I'm going to pretend.

00:07:39.240 I read a story and they're like, the only people that were talking about this was Glenn Beck

00:07:42.740 and the blaze and all the research they did during the impeachment.

00:07:46.460 And they were the only ones that taught it. 0.95

00:07:48.060 And I'm like, damn right. 0.98

00:07:51.720 Damn right. 0.98

00:07:52.880 You didn't remember the. 0.97

00:07:54.520 Oh, of course I do.

00:07:55.700 Of course you did.

00:07:56.080 Anyway.

00:07:56.340 You're just pretending not to.

00:07:57.000 The story begins in 2018 with Hallie Biden.

00:08:01.020 Now, Hallie.

00:08:01.960 Haley.

00:08:02.980 I think.

00:08:04.140 Why don't you tell the story?

00:08:05.000 Is it Haley?

00:08:05.360 Why don't you just tell it?

00:08:06.260 Why don't you just tell the story?

00:08:08.220 Well, no.

00:08:08.960 It's your story.

00:08:09.780 I'm just helping with it.

00:08:10.980 Well, you remember the story from when you.

00:08:12.740 Initially talked about it so often.

00:08:14.240 Right.

00:08:14.840 It was you.

00:08:15.260 Who are you to judge?

00:08:16.440 And by the way, did you hear my macaroni story on the Suez Canal a few minutes ago?

00:08:20.320 Don't correct my stories.

00:08:21.360 Right.

00:08:21.640 Okay.

00:08:22.020 They are air tight.

00:08:24.020 So Hallie Biden. 0.52

00:08:26.020 Yeah.

00:08:26.500 Mm hmm.

00:08:27.680 With Bo Biden.

00:08:28.840 You want to correct me there?

00:08:30.220 No.

00:08:30.800 Okay.

00:08:31.180 So Bo is Bo's dead.

00:08:34.980 And Hallie, the widow, starts, you know, with Hunter.

00:08:40.040 And she's going through Hunter's truck due to a, quote, suspicion she had.

00:08:48.360 Hmm.

00:08:49.360 Now, we don't know what that suspicion she had was.

00:08:53.620 Uh, but then she found a 38 revolver and, uh, it belonged to him.

00:09:01.920 And apparently it just ended up in a trash can behind a grocery store across the street

00:09:05.800 from a school.

00:09:07.080 It happens.

00:09:07.960 It happens.

00:09:09.140 Guns go off by themselves.

00:09:11.620 And sometimes they're like, I am so sick of being, I am not going to be treated this

00:09:15.740 way and under a seat in a truck.

00:09:17.780 I am, I am worth more than that.

00:09:20.340 I want to be in that trash can across the street from the school behind the grocery store.

00:09:26.200 And so it went off.

00:09:28.320 Now, the police are saying that that kind of thing doesn't happen.

00:09:34.120 So she returned to the store later to recover the gun as Hunter had directed her to do, but

00:09:41.380 it couldn't be found.

00:09:43.060 She told the grocery store about the missing gun.

00:09:46.580 Could you imagine that conversation?

00:09:48.580 Hey, um, did you guys find a gun in your, in your trash cans by any chance?

00:09:58.140 Could you imagine having that conversation?

00:10:00.300 No, I've never.

00:10:01.400 If somebody walks into the store, it was like, if somebody came to me and said, Hey, here

00:10:06.780 at the studios, you know, your dumpster in the back.

00:10:09.640 Did you guys happen to find, you know, like some weapons in there?

00:10:14.560 I would immediately call the police, right?

00:10:17.320 You'd be like, for sure.

00:10:18.240 Uh-huh.

00:10:18.860 Yeah.

00:10:19.140 You know what we did?

00:10:20.700 Why don't you wait here for about 10 minutes?

00:10:23.280 So she went to talk about the, uh, the, uh, missing, uh, gun.

00:10:28.300 And this is where things got weirder.

00:10:31.240 The missing gun is, uh, particularly, uh, worrisome because the school is right across

00:10:38.440 the street.

00:10:38.980 They were afraid that it would be used, you know, by, uh, used in a crime.

00:10:43.120 While police were questioning Hunter, he also appeared to, uh, racially, uh, he also appeared

00:10:51.220 to racially profile two Mexican grocery store employees telling officers they were probably

00:10:57.160 illegals.

00:10:59.080 So when the cops go to talk to Hunter about the gun that was in the, he immediately throws

00:11:05.800 them under the bus.

00:11:06.820 Oh, okay.

00:11:08.880 All right.

00:11:09.640 Then the police, uh, then the police and the FBI go in, uh, and the police or the FBI tell

00:11:17.220 the police, you know what?

00:11:18.160 We got a federal investigation going on.

00:11:20.360 And, uh, so two secret service agents with badges and identification cards reportedly pay

00:11:26.460 a visit to the gun store where Hunter bought the firearm earlier that month and told the owner

00:11:32.680 to turn over the firearm transaction record from the purchase.

00:11:36.820 Now, why would you do that?

00:11:40.560 Oh, we want no record of that.

00:11:42.320 We'd like you to give us all the records on that.

00:11:44.740 Well, the store owner was like, I don't think you actually want this for an investigation.

00:11:52.460 I'm guessing you want to make all this stuff disappear.

00:11:56.720 So the store owner held on to the paperwork, uh, until the ATF came in and they reviewed

00:12:07.220 the forms, uh, and the secret service said, Oh, we, no, we didn't send anybody out.

00:12:13.340 We don't know what you're talking about.

00:12:14.800 We didn't, we didn't send anybody out.

00:12:16.240 Uh, it also appears that Hunter may have lied on his federal background check.

00:12:21.700 No, did.

00:12:22.560 I don't think there's any way.

00:12:23.840 No, he may have lied.

00:12:25.280 How is they may have lied?

00:12:26.660 He said, it's a little fuzzy on those federal forums.

00:12:29.660 When they ask you about, you know, previous drug abuse and you say, you know, when blatantly

00:12:36.960 you're on record, having convictions and stuff, when you were doing Coke in a Hertz rental

00:12:42.420 car that you turned back with Coke lines still on the dashboard, clear, it's unclear.

00:12:49.420 You could easily, it's like, what is it?

00:12:52.180 Are you an illegal alien?

00:12:54.380 No, I'm not from space.

00:12:56.300 Why would you call me an illegal alien?

00:12:58.880 Right.

00:12:59.280 And since when do we ban people from space coming?

00:13:02.220 And can it be abuse when it's so much fun?

00:13:04.880 No, you know, I think it's abuse drugs.

00:13:08.240 No, they abused me for years.

00:13:13.120 Uh, so, uh, so now he answered no to a question in the firearms transaction record, uh, asking

00:13:20.080 if he was an unlawful user, uh, user or addicted to marijuana, any depressant stimulant,

00:13:26.600 narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance.

00:13:31.520 And his answer was no.

00:13:33.100 His answer was no.

00:13:34.180 That's a felony.

00:13:35.480 Uh, but don't worry kids.

00:13:37.360 He's part of the elite.

00:13:38.600 He's not going to pay any price for that.

00:13:40.220 I'm sure.

00:13:41.140 Uh, but I just, I just love that this is, uh, coming out now, uh, as daddy is saying,

00:13:47.860 we have to, uh, tighten, tighten the, uh, restrictions and ban certain guns, ban certain guns.

00:13:55.700 Yeah.

00:13:55.900 And, but I just like, we, we have to really tighten the, uh, the background checks because

00:14:00.980 as his own son has just proven, people lie all the time.

00:14:08.040 People lie all the time.

00:14:10.280 If you, if you want a drug, let's say you're a drug abuser and you want a gun, you're going

00:14:17.000 to go find one and you'll buy it.

00:14:19.300 Not necessarily from the gun store because you're already buying drugs from a drug dealer.

00:14:25.920 It's not like I've got my lines.

00:14:30.680 My favorite one was this Boulder shooting.

00:14:32.920 You know, one of the first narratives after they were like, Oh, it's gotta be a white guy.

00:14:36.280 Once that went away, they were like, well, did you know that 10 days before the shooting,

00:14:42.800 they, uh, ban, they were the judge overturned an AR 15 ban in Boulder and 10 days before that.

00:14:50.960 And this guy bought the, the AR 15, like six days before that.

00:14:55.240 Do you believe this?

00:14:56.520 Well, he bought it in another town where they didn't have an AR 15 ban.

00:14:59.960 That is why, that is why we must have federal.

00:15:03.980 No, that's why we must have it federally.

00:15:06.060 I think it needs to be global because you know, we need to, we need to keep these borders open.

00:15:10.180 We can't have, we can't come up with a disconnect as to why we're fine with open borders,

00:15:15.280 but we need gun laws all over here because obviously they could just bring the guns across 0.97

00:15:20.620 the border.

00:15:20.980 Well, it's not like you have nefarious people like drug cartels.

00:15:24.880 Right, right on the border that are actively making money.

00:15:28.640 Right.

00:15:29.100 Doing things, human trafficking, drugs, guns.

00:15:33.580 That's none of that happening.

00:15:35.080 No.

00:15:35.740 Those are just good people.

00:15:36.960 Good people.

00:15:37.820 Good people.

00:15:38.460 Good people.

00:15:39.080 Bringing people to a better life in America.

00:15:40.980 This is the best of the Glenn Beck program.

00:15:55.060 Recently, an Arizona sheriff named Mark Danils shared an urgent letter on Facebook, and I

00:16:01.920 would love for you to read the whole letter, but I want to share just a couple of excerpts

00:16:05.880 from it.

00:16:06.220 He writes, the current conditions on the border are impacting public safety in our communities

00:16:12.660 and by any reasonable measure constitute a humanitarian crisis.

00:16:18.120 We remain immersed in politics rather than solutions.

00:16:23.100 In Cochise County, Arizona, they have a sophisticated camera system along the migrant routes across

00:16:30.080 the border.

00:16:31.140 These cameras detect significantly more traffic than our federal partners report capturing.

00:16:38.820 In fact, our estimates are that only 28% of the people crossing illegally are taken

00:16:45.800 into custody.

00:16:47.240 Now, I want you to think about the numbers that we have.

00:16:50.460 Think about the numbers that have crossed already.

00:16:55.360 If that's only 30%, the numbers are staggering.

00:17:03.000 And where are these people?

00:17:05.600 TCOs, transnational criminal organizations, are exploiting the migrant crisis to ensure the

00:17:11.880 redirection of law enforcement resources away from the interdiction of illegal drugs into

00:17:18.480 this country.

00:17:19.120 They know that increased migrant traffic, especially children, overwhelms resources and essentially 1.00

00:17:25.420 gives them the unfettered ability to traffic drugs into the U.S.

00:17:29.520 Make no mistake.

00:17:30.840 This is a deliberate tactic.

00:17:33.340 On top of a public safety and humanitarian crisis, we may now add a public health crisis.

00:17:39.220 There should be an outcry from those persons who have expressed concern about the COVID pandemic.

00:17:44.780 Arizona's border sheriffs are not interested in the politics of the current crisis or perceived

00:17:51.080 political ideological victories.

00:17:53.880 We need policies from Washington, D.C. that discourage rather than incentivize undocumented 1.00

00:18:00.460 immigration.

00:18:02.220 The time for politics and partisanship has passed.

00:18:07.060 Sheriff Daniels is exactly right.

00:18:10.060 The COVID situation alone should be enough to seal the border, especially for those who 1.00

00:18:17.260 are panicked over the COVID crisis.

00:18:21.280 Right now, we have in the center of Dallas, Texas, we have a convention center that is filled

00:18:29.360 with illegal aliens who have not been tested and can come and go apparently as they please.

00:18:40.260 Due to Mexico's extremely low rate of testing, we have no idea how bad it is.

00:18:48.160 The death toll, however, in Mexico is probably around 300,000.

00:18:52.660 Just last Friday, Argentina suspended flights from Mexico.

00:18:58.300 All of our schools are closed.

00:19:02.380 Yet migrants and minors are flooding over the border and we're housing them. 1.00

00:19:10.240 And we are not giving money to the cities, especially down on the border.

00:19:16.720 On President Biden's first day in office, he signed an executive order halting construction

00:19:22.080 of the border wall.

00:19:23.520 Now Sheriff Daniels is here to point out that the unfinished portions of the border have simply

00:19:29.720 provided infrastructure, mainly roads for the drug cartels.

00:19:35.160 It is, according to a study, it is now a multi-billion dollar business for these cartels, human trafficking.

00:19:42.920 The same report finds that in order to pass through the territories of drug traffickers,

00:19:48.420 migrants have to pay drug taxes or cartel taxes as much as $180 million a year.

00:19:58.960 What are we doing?

00:20:02.520 Our elected leaders refuse to come back to common sense.

00:20:08.080 Some issues must be apolitical, and this is one of them.

00:20:14.260 And if they won't make it apolitical, we must insist that they do.

00:20:19.960 And we must insist not to play politics on the border.

00:20:24.780 Just talk about the real facts.

00:20:27.120 Sheriff Daniels is here with us now.

00:20:30.060 Sheriff, how are you, sir?

00:20:31.760 Good, Glenn.

00:20:32.680 The letter says it all.

00:20:34.260 It really does.

00:20:35.240 It is very, very clear.

00:20:36.980 Tell me what is happening in Cochise County.

00:20:40.460 Well, to understand where we're at today is best to understand where we came from.

00:20:45.440 And you hit it in your intro with me, was the fact that President Trump, I worked at this

00:20:50.700 border for 37 years, President Trump was the first president to actually emphasize and do

00:20:56.540 everything he can within his power to secure our border.

00:20:59.520 Right.

00:20:59.900 It's not immigration, two different programs, border security.

00:21:02.940 And we were very close with him, sheriffs, police chiefs, mayors, governors, DHS-TVP, all

00:21:10.280 the way through in his administration.

00:21:12.100 When President, and we've come so far, we truly have.

00:21:15.200 It's the best it's been.

00:21:16.140 The ranchers tell me.

00:21:17.140 Everybody asks, well, how do you know it's the best it's been?

00:21:19.400 First of all, our stats show us that.

00:21:20.860 Second of all, the people who live on the rural border down here, the ranchers, the farmers,

00:21:25.740 the citizens say, this is the best it's been in three decades.

00:21:29.040 So that's the best measure of a test.

00:21:32.200 So we come to the current time when President Biden signed the executive order day one,

00:21:37.620 which obviously was politically driven, ideology driven.

00:21:41.380 And when he did that the first day, it sent a message to the cartels and those vulnerable

00:21:46.960 people that, hey, we're coming across, we're opening up the border.

00:21:51.240 And he stopped the construction on the border, which stopped subterranean technology, revenue,

00:21:56.420 resources, and the physical barrier.

00:21:59.340 My three checkpoints are shut down in my county.

00:22:01.740 I got a border patrol station shut down in my county for responding to help my deputies.

00:22:06.120 I got my AeroStat shut down, and I just learned Friday they removed me from the Homeland Security

00:22:12.280 Council.

00:22:13.300 Oh, my gosh.

00:22:14.180 Because of the letter?

00:22:16.080 I think it was a collective effort that, and they realized what they did.

00:22:20.940 They removed the majority of every member on the Homeland Security Council, which was formed

00:22:25.040 after 9-11, to help advise DHS for communities and for this country.

00:22:31.160 So all but three people were left on the advisory council, the chair, vice chair, and a past

00:22:35.400 chair, the rest of us got letters unannounced.

00:22:39.340 And it starts off like this, Glenn, and it says, I'm honored to address you in the first

00:22:42.920 paragraph, second paragraph, that removes us.

00:22:46.260 Wow.

00:22:47.220 What a kick.

00:22:48.440 But it's the first time in history that a president, secretary, this administration has removed

00:22:53.980 anyone from that council.

00:22:56.000 And what a worse time.

00:22:57.400 We're in a chaos crisis on this border, and you're going to take the group that's been 0.99

00:23:01.700 selected throughout the country to help advise you into the future, help you navigate these

00:23:06.260 issues, and then you remove them.

00:23:08.120 So wait, wait, wait, wait.

00:23:08.880 So this is because I am concerned about the humanitarian crisis, but I am equally concerned.

00:23:16.120 I'm not blinded by that, by what the drug cartels are doing, but also the, you know, other than

00:23:25.080 Mexicans, the Iranians, the Syrians, the fact that the drug cartels will smuggle guns and 0.93

00:23:34.760 drugs and terrorists into this country. 0.87

00:23:39.900 Nobody's talking about those things.

00:23:41.600 So tell me, this was developed after 9-11.

00:23:46.940 What could their reason be for flipping everybody on that board?

00:23:53.440 Well, and the first thing that comes to my mind, Glenn, is politics.

00:23:57.160 Political ideologies.

00:23:58.720 They want to have their own.

00:23:59.780 They want the avoidance of this, and having people on that advisory council that speak

00:24:04.420 very loud, their business, their consulters, their federal judges, all the people that

00:24:08.200 have come through that, sheriffs, police chiefs, that have been now removed on that, it just

00:24:14.380 silences that voice.

00:24:17.580 Once again, and one thing I've seen since this has happened is the lack of transparency, the

00:24:22.320 lack to share any kind of plans.

00:24:24.320 In fact, in the letter, it talks about we're going to develop a plan.

00:24:27.560 Well, don't you think any logic on this would, you'd have a plan in place before you get

00:24:34.040 rid of your current members who have served honorably, have served, I've worked on the

00:24:38.060 technology committee, I've worked on youth violence, I've worked on faith violence. 0.56

00:24:42.940 I mean, spent a lot of time to help our communities.

00:24:46.360 And with a, again, stroke of the pen, we're gone, we're gone.

00:24:50.160 So again, it silences everything.

00:24:52.280 There is no transparency with this.

00:24:54.160 And I've spoke to DHS at senior leadership, work with the National Sheriff's Association.

00:25:00.140 We're, they have no answers for us.

00:25:02.120 We're past due on questions and answers in this country.

00:25:04.500 I'm just, you know, Sheriff, I'm just looking at your, your resume.

00:25:09.640 You are really, really, your background is, is right.

00:25:15.680 We're not exactly what we need, especially in a, in a place like Cochise County.

00:25:20.580 I, I, I'm stunned now that, uh, they're, they're not listening to you.

00:25:25.840 Tell me what, tell me what the border wall was doing and why it was so bad to stop it

00:25:33.900 on day one.

00:25:35.420 What is that done?

00:25:36.720 Well, besides sending a message to the cartel that we have an open border and that's literally

00:25:43.060 the message that's been sent.

00:25:44.720 We hear that from those coming across illegally because the opportunity is now and truly they're 1.00

00:25:50.220 coming across to that reason.

00:25:51.820 In my County, um, when they stopped the physical barrier, the technology and the resources,

00:25:58.700 what that's done is left my border in disarray down here.

00:26:02.020 President Trump was the first president after three decades to push beyond what the physical

00:26:06.700 barrier was in the early nineties from operation stone garden, or Christian stone garden, excuse

00:26:12.020 me, operation gatekeeper and hold the line were two programs that kicked off our physical

00:26:15.960 barrier.

00:26:16.400 Nobody is today.

00:26:17.820 President Trump pushed beyond that first president in three years or 30 years to do that.

00:26:22.120 So by now we have a border that was under construction.

00:26:26.180 We have six foot, uh, trenches just wide open.

00:26:29.780 We have, uh, lower line areas where they're putting in bridges where the cement coverts 0.99

00:26:35.280 are in there and they're putting, uh, the cages over so they can put the cement in there

00:26:38.860 and finish the bridges that just sitting there, open, uh, cables hanging out on the ground.

00:26:43.920 It's in disarray.

00:26:45.000 It's like building the house halfway and stopping and then walking away from the project.

00:26:49.040 What worries us in a couple of months when our monsoon season, our wet season hits, it's

00:26:54.060 going to wipe out these, what they're supposed to put a brand new road along the southwest 0.64

00:26:57.460 border here in my County.

00:26:58.680 That's not going to happen.

00:27:00.680 The whole thing's a mess.

00:27:02.140 We're in worse shape now than we were when we started, uh, this project.

00:27:06.480 And so it's...

00:27:07.680 And you said that there's, you said that there is infrastructure that they, the drug cartels

00:27:12.620 are using, the roads, et cetera, that were made for the construction.

00:27:17.760 Is that in your county?

00:27:20.500 You, you are correct.

00:27:21.640 And what they did was up on the backside of a very, very frequent smuggling area for the

00:27:27.340 cartels.

00:27:27.880 Cause it's been concealed up there behind the mountains.

00:27:30.000 They blasted roads, took them up six months to a year to put the infrastructure in behind

00:27:34.480 the mountains, back into the flatlands, just to get the equipment and the trenching up there

00:27:39.500 to put the fence in.

00:27:40.640 Well, they got the infrastructure in, but they never got a chance to put the physical barrier

00:27:45.280 in.

00:27:45.780 So now we have, I call them walking paths that are better than most national parks where

00:27:50.200 they come up and walk right down to the flatlands.

00:27:52.920 And once again, once again, it's, uh, there was no reasonable, um, closure to this, this

00:28:00.820 project.

00:28:01.360 And as a result of this, uh, we have chaos on our board, just on the technology and physical

00:28:06.600 barrier side.

00:28:07.820 So nobody is talking, we are all talking about these kids in cages, um, and the humanitarian

00:28:13.180 crisis.

00:28:14.080 What is left behind are the small communities that are right there on the borders that are

00:28:21.200 getting dumped.

00:28:22.260 All of these people are coming in, you know, it's a crisis because the federal government

00:28:26.500 doesn't have space for them.

00:28:27.660 Well, the ones that they really don't have space for, they're just putting on buses and

00:28:32.160 they're just sending to cities all across the country.

00:28:34.860 And the border towns are the first ones to get hit hard.

00:28:38.940 And there's no help from the federal government.

00:28:42.780 There's not.

00:28:43.620 You look back in 2019, Glenn, where the caravans and surges that President Trump took on and

00:28:49.920 addressed.

00:28:50.520 In the first nine months, we had 141 countries hit our Southwest border.

00:28:54.720 And I kind of say this, I know the focus is on the children.

00:28:56.820 In the first nine months, we had 3,500 children that were being exploited by the cartels.

00:29:02.740 And what that means, they were coming across with an adult expedited into the country because

00:29:06.820 they had a child with them.

00:29:07.900 Then the children were brought back to Mexico and recycled back in the U.S. just to get people 1.00

00:29:12.780 in the U.S.

00:29:13.760 This cartel has its thumb and hand on everything going on in the Southwest border.

00:29:18.180 In my county, it's $6,000 a head to come across our country, into our country, excuse me.

00:29:22.480 And then they become servant to the cartels, whether it be sex grave, drug, gangs, enforcer,

00:29:28.140 whatever it may be.

00:29:29.620 And unfortunately, the national media is painting a picture of these poor kids.

00:29:32.960 And I agree.

00:29:33.960 I agree.

00:29:34.700 In 2014, when the cages first came alive, that was actually under our President Obama.

00:29:40.080 And again, we've evolved.

00:29:41.880 And I do like your point that it seems like nobody can fix this problem.

00:29:46.080 We have the most powerful leader in the country.

00:29:48.500 That's our presidents.

00:29:49.560 But we fight it, including President Trump, who put a lot of effort on this border.

00:29:53.180 I've gone through a lot of presidents in my 37 years.

00:29:55.620 I'm telling you, it's rather disgusting because it's like we're left out of the U.S.

00:29:59.680 when it comes to security, being American, our constitutional rights are on the Southwest border.

00:30:05.520 What can the American people do to help you?

00:30:07.160 They need to stand up and be united because why were the attention of the national media

00:30:12.740 exclusively when it comes to the children?

00:30:15.740 What's happening is everything going on the Southwest border, whether it's drugs,

00:30:19.540 whether it's national security issue, whether it's a health pandemic issue, COVID,

00:30:23.860 whatever it may be, it's coming into your neighborhood.

00:30:26.480 We might be the gate to it all, but it's coming into your neighbors.

00:30:29.940 They're not staying in my communities until they can find the means or the non-government 0.98

00:30:34.960 organizations can get them out of here.

00:30:36.980 Right now, we see charter buses all the time, $1,500 a hit to get kids out of our county.

00:30:43.720 $1,500.

00:30:44.380 You see almost every day, you're seeing them pulling out of my county.

00:30:47.620 So the only thing holding my county right now, Glenn, with some kind of balance is Title 42,

00:30:54.380 which is the health pandemic, central travel only, which means internationally,

00:31:00.100 we restrict who's coming to the country. 0.98

00:31:01.760 In Texas, what they're doing is the state below Texas and Mexico will not let the U.S. 0.97

00:31:08.860 expel them back into their state in Mexico. 0.51

00:31:12.220 In my county, the state of Sonora is still allowing that.

00:31:16.300 April 21st, that's supposed to expire.

00:31:18.860 If that opens up, our Southwest border will be flooded, not just in Texas, but flooded.

00:31:24.300 Mark, we will stay in touch with you.

00:31:26.840 I'd like to talk to you some off the air.

00:31:31.880 So thank you for everything that you're doing, but we'll be in touch.

00:31:36.240 We're not done with the coverage, and I appreciate your letter,

00:31:40.440 and I appreciate your willingness to speak out.

00:31:43.080 Stay safe, and don't give up on the rest of America yet.

00:31:47.720 I know you're not going to.

00:31:49.340 I'm not going to.

00:31:50.020 I have hope in my own.

00:31:51.000 Thank you.

00:31:51.460 Thank you.

00:31:51.940 Mark Daniels.

00:31:56.840 This is the best of the Glenn Beck Program.

00:32:08.500 So they have dislodged the giant cargo ship in the Suez Canal.

00:32:17.300 And the reason why I put you on duct tape alert is because we may be having another toilet paper crisis.

00:32:25.120 Now, I mean, it's been a year.

00:32:32.120 Why not have another one?

00:32:33.880 Just for the anniversary, why not?

00:32:36.160 Why not all go panic and buy a bunch of toilet paper?

00:32:39.580 They're saying because of the Suez Canal being shut down, we may, the world may experience a toilet paper shortage.

00:32:46.540 And I have to tell you, there are many things, air conditioning being one of them.

00:32:55.220 I think air conditioning and toilet paper are my no-go zones.

00:32:59.200 You know what I mean?

00:32:59.820 If they say, Glenn, you can't have air conditioning, and sorry, no more toilet paper, bad for the environment,

00:33:05.440 I say let the planet burn.

00:33:06.720 It's just my line, you know?

00:33:11.340 Everyone has one.

00:33:11.940 Indoor plumbing is also on that line.

00:33:16.220 Refrigeration.

00:33:17.360 Anything refrigerated, you know, that involves any kind of refrigeration.

00:33:23.720 My house, my actual refrigerator, my car.

00:33:27.720 Certainly electricity would fall into this.

00:33:30.760 Got to have that.

00:33:31.900 Well, if you could find another way to get the air conditioning running and the lights.

00:33:36.480 I guess lights are all.

00:33:38.160 I think lighting is important.

00:33:39.480 There's a lot of things on my.

00:33:41.460 Here's what we're willing to do.

00:33:42.880 Nothing.

00:33:43.820 Okay.

00:33:44.340 We're not going to do anything.

00:33:45.860 I'm willing to separate my garbage, but not really.

00:33:49.240 Not really.

00:33:49.880 I'm going to put them in the same garbage can.

00:33:53.160 I mean, I'll separate them, and then I'll put them in the garbage can,

00:33:57.280 and then I'm knowing that my city is just going to dump them in the same place.

00:34:01.340 Oh, yeah.

00:34:01.640 The only actual use for recycling is the extra garbage can.

00:34:05.620 You have more capacity.

00:34:06.480 Yes.

00:34:06.860 That's the only thing.

00:34:07.920 Yes.

00:34:08.660 Yes.

00:34:08.980 And they're usually big, like the big green garbage can.

00:34:12.340 You can fit a lot of non-recyclables in.

00:34:14.440 Right.

00:34:14.980 That's how I use it.

00:34:16.060 It's great.

00:34:16.760 And so we appreciate the environmentalists for that.

00:34:19.680 Anyway, they're now saying that toilet paper may be a shortage because of the Suez Canal.

00:34:28.040 And I'm wondering, are those little teeny tugboats that they're using, are those really, is that the best we can do?

00:34:39.420 I mean, as a planet, is that, has anybody thought of just taking like a big old battleship?

00:34:45.480 You know, one that we don't even care about.

00:34:46.920 Make it like a demolition derby.

00:34:48.240 And they're like, I'm going to take the battleship, and I'm just going to ram that thing until it comes unlodged.

00:34:53.200 I mean, is this really the best we can do?

00:34:56.400 Have you seen the little toot out there?

00:34:58.320 Like, I can do it.

00:34:59.440 I can do it.

00:35:00.500 Can we get bigger boats?

00:35:01.780 It doesn't seem that intimidating.

00:35:04.220 It doesn't.

00:35:05.260 You need a little.

00:35:05.820 But I mean, I don't think destroying the boat in the middle of the canal would work very well.

00:35:10.220 Not saying really, because that's the way, I mean, you know the history of the Suez Canal?

00:35:14.860 I have zero life.

00:35:17.640 Zero life.

00:35:18.960 And something tells me you're about to confirm that.

00:35:21.160 I am.

00:35:22.440 The Suez Canal is a fascinating story about how it came.

00:35:26.740 It actually started because a kid was really, really fat, and his dad wanted him to lose weight, and he hired a French guy to help him.

00:35:38.800 Honest to God, this is how the Suez Canal started.

00:35:42.360 His dad, looking at his son, he's like, you are going to die from an early death.

00:35:48.140 This is in the 1800s, okay, when everybody, when fat was beautiful.

00:35:51.680 So you can imagine how fat this kid had to be.

00:35:55.880 And he's like, you're going to die from, you're too fat. 0.99

00:35:59.420 You're too fat. 1.00

00:36:00.480 You'll never amount to anything if you're that fat. 0.99

00:36:03.380 And he couldn't get his son to stop eating.

00:36:05.960 So he hires a French guy.

00:36:08.500 Now, why would you hire a French guy to do it? 1.00

00:36:11.180 The only reason why this French guy happened to be in town was because Napoleon was in town.

00:36:18.140 It was Egypt.

00:36:19.180 And so this French guy is like, oh, I can help your son lose weight. 1.00

00:36:25.500 And he gets to know the fat kid, and he likes the fat kid.

00:36:29.060 And he's like, look, don't tell your dad, but I got a little buster for you. 0.98

00:36:36.240 And so he starts feeding him macaroni. 0.88

00:36:38.640 He smuggles in macaroni for the fat kid.

00:36:41.060 And the fat kid's like, I love macaroni.

00:36:43.300 Thank you very much.

00:36:44.820 The French are the greatest.

00:36:47.880 And dad just thinks, my son, look, I am doing everything I can.

00:36:54.000 And dad is saying, well, my son's not losing any weight.

00:36:59.220 Don't look at me.

00:37:01.160 So this goes on for a while.

00:37:03.260 And then there's all kinds of wars and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

00:37:06.820 And, you know, millions die.

00:37:09.600 Sure.

00:37:10.000 Blah, blah, blah.

00:37:10.700 And things change.

00:37:13.200 And dad dies. 0.83

00:37:15.180 And the fat kid's like, finally, finally, my dad's dead. 0.98

00:37:20.100 And he becomes king. 0.96

00:37:23.240 He's now the ruler of Egypt.

00:37:26.480 And with all of these things that are changing, the Crimea War and everything else,

00:37:32.960 the planet is changing.

00:37:34.540 Because everybody was getting all of their goods and services either over land

00:37:40.040 and the Ottoman Empire was really in trouble at the time.

00:37:44.440 So those trade routes were being lost.

00:37:46.920 Or you go down south around Africa, which took too long.

00:37:51.640 So that's when the French guy, who was strangely not a dietician, I don't know what exactly he did.

00:38:01.100 I think he was like an engineer.

00:38:02.640 I mean, he was a guy who wanted to build the Suez Canal for a long time.

00:38:07.580 And he says, look, I smuggled the macaroni to you when your papa was saying, hey, stop eating so much.

00:38:16.920 It was me with the macaroni.

00:38:19.480 And so the fat kid's like, okay, we'll build.

00:38:22.280 I mean, I'm, this is the gist of it.

00:38:25.100 You'd have to.

00:38:25.920 This isn't a historical quote.

00:38:27.320 This is not exactly the historical quote.

00:38:29.580 But we don't know.

00:38:30.320 I wasn't there and neither was a historian.

00:38:32.060 They didn't have tape decks back then.

00:38:33.540 So he's like, I got to do it because I want more macaroni.

00:38:38.040 And so he builds the, he starts to build the canal.

00:38:42.680 The problem is, is it takes so many people.

00:38:47.360 There's not enough slaves.

00:38:50.580 And he is telling everybody that you have to, you have to build the canal and you're a slave.

00:38:56.620 And so, you know, you're a peasant. 0.92

00:38:59.040 So you work for me. 0.98

00:38:59.920 You're a slave and now go build the canal. 1.00

00:39:04.460 Well, at the time this is happening, something else in the world is happening.

00:39:08.400 Now, this is the part where you can look at everyone who says, the United States never did anything.

00:39:15.900 The United States is just a horrible place.

00:39:19.140 We are just, you know what we are?

00:39:20.720 We're all about slavery.

00:39:21.920 That's all this country has ever done.

00:39:24.800 Okay.

00:39:26.000 Suez Canal.

00:39:26.780 Now, 60,000 people are slaves building this canal.

00:39:32.460 Something interesting happens.

00:39:34.820 It's called the Emancipation Proclamation. 0.98

00:39:37.760 Ah, crap. 0.99

00:39:39.920 Now I don't have slaves. 0.99

00:39:41.660 I'm not going to get any macaroni.

00:39:43.400 Because in Egypt, the Emancipation Proclamation, as it did all around the world, shook the world.

00:39:51.960 And so, the 60,000 slaves that were digging the Suez Canal also were freed.

00:40:00.560 In fact, the 20 million slaves, they were called serfs, in Russia, they were also freed because of the Emancipation Proclamation at the time.

00:40:14.120 But I digress.

00:40:16.800 Back to the fat kid with macaroni.

00:40:19.960 So, they build the canal, and all kinds of stuff is happening all around the world at this time.

00:40:32.660 We are building all kinds of stuff.

00:40:35.480 I mean, it's in the 1860s.

00:40:37.140 And so, you're looking at the building of some of the greatest things in the world, the greatest construction.

00:40:49.200 We're building canals.

00:40:50.720 We're building tunnels.

00:40:51.760 We're building bridges.

00:40:53.420 Everything around the world.

00:40:55.880 Suez Canal is dug, and now it has to be opened.

00:41:00.360 And they have the big opening ceremony, and a guy comes, and he's like,

00:41:06.480 I've got the night, maybe for the opening, I unveil a big statue for you, huh?

00:41:13.420 And put it right here at the opening of the canal.

00:41:18.120 It's going to be based on the Colossus of Roads.

00:41:21.140 And they're like, I like macaroni.

00:41:25.540 So, they don't build the statue.

00:41:27.540 Instead, they build the statue, a 35-foot-tall statue, of the guy who snuck the fat kid macaroni.

00:41:36.540 And that was sitting at the opening of the Suez Canal until the Egyptians took it from the British in, what, 18 or 1950s, and they blew up that statue.

00:41:50.880 But that guy was Bertolli.

00:41:52.540 Bertolli, that guy was rejected for that statue, and he went on to build the Statue of Liberty.

00:42:02.540 It was originally made for the opening of the Suez Canal.

00:42:06.040 Now, the reason why I'm stopping here is because that was unveiled on the opening of the Suez Canal, the small little statue of the macaroni guy.

00:42:15.180 And that's his official name, or?

00:42:19.140 This is, if history were taught like this, every kid would know history.

00:42:22.920 They would know the macaroni guy.

00:42:24.640 They would know the macaroni guy.

00:42:25.740 They'd get the gist of the story.

00:42:27.100 And so then, all of the kings and queens and everybody from all over the world, they're on a barge, and they're all going to go down the Suez Canal.

00:42:36.160 And what happens?

00:42:38.600 A boat gets stuck.

00:42:40.500 Right before the opening, a boat gets lodged sideways, exactly like what's happening right now.

00:42:47.280 And so what did they do?

00:42:50.440 They blew it up.

00:42:53.160 I'm just saying, little toot ain't gonna get the job done. 0.97

00:42:59.500 Blow it up.

00:43:03.200 And that is the story of the Suez Canal.

00:43:07.680 Kind of.
