The Glenn Beck Program - Best of the Program ｜ Guests： Abby Johnson & Elijah Schaffer

00:00:00.000 Hello America, welcome to the podcast. This is one that you should listen to the long form podcast if you have time.

00:00:08.100 There is so much information that you need to know.

00:00:11.900 We talk about the convention, the great convention. We didn't even get to really any of the real highlights.

00:00:18.080 Like I thought the citizen swearing in of new citizens was fantastic.

00:00:23.580 I thought the the pardon was fantastic. But unfortunately, there's also pressing news coming out of Wisconsin.

00:00:31.800 I fear for the lives of some of these reporters from the Daily Caller and from the Blaze and and and others that are putting themselves on the front line.

00:00:42.220 And there was a bad shooting yesterday. There's some really dicey stuff going on now in the streets.

00:00:49.760 And we must be careful of our move because we are about to win.

00:00:55.560 And if we react incorrectly, it's going to hurt our case.

00:00:59.980 But we talk about that. We we also talk about the special that is happening on Wednesday night.

00:01:07.040 There's there's there's stuff happening in your schools that is that's all new.

00:01:12.100 You're not going to hear about it anyplace else. And not because of not because people don't care.

00:01:18.840 Some people do care. It's just overwhelming.

00:01:21.940 We had eight hundred files that were dumped and we've been going through them.

00:01:28.300 And it's shocking about what's happening with the teachers union and what's happening in the with the teachers.

00:01:33.320 We need your help. It's all going to be posted to Glenn Beck dot com.

00:01:37.040 And we need your help. We need people who are interested to go through these things.

00:01:40.920 But today is a very important show. Please don't miss a second of it.

00:01:48.840 You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck program.

00:01:59.560 I want you to listen to this quickly. This this confirms what I'm saying.

00:02:03.000 You're about to win. Listen to the freak out on the riots with CNN.

00:02:07.220 Don, and what's happening in Wisconsin, it's a Rorschach test for where this country is.

00:02:13.000 And I think it probably represents the biggest threat to the Democratic cause.

00:02:17.740 But when you said it's too little, too late, I don't know about that.

00:02:21.720 I mean, we still have a lot of time left until Election Day.

00:02:24.860 And I do think that this what you said was happening in Kenosha is a Rorschach test for the entire country.

00:02:32.360 And I think this is a blind spot for Democrats.

00:02:36.240 You think I think Democrats are ignoring this problem or hoping that it will go away and it's not going to go away.

00:02:42.180 And so unless someone comes up with a solution over the next 73 days, 68 days, 68 days.

00:02:49.960 So it's not going to the problem is not going to be fixed by then.

00:02:54.360 But what they can do. And I think maybe Joe Biden may be afraid to do it.

00:03:00.160 I'm not sure. Maybe he won't. Maybe he is. He's got to address it.

00:03:04.280 He's got to come out and talk about it. Stop this. Look at what's happening.

00:03:08.460 Look what's happening. They know they're losing.

00:03:11.480 Do you think that CNN wants to say bad things about the Democratic Party, wants to tie these riots into the silence?

00:03:22.380 They are the most silent. The media is not covering it.

00:03:26.260 They've been calling them protests for months and all of a sudden they're returning back into riots because they're seeing it in the polls.

00:03:31.920 Yes. They're seeing that people are turning against Democrats in the polls.

00:03:35.240 And the thing that they need is somebody to respond to it.

00:03:40.080 That is anybody that they could even say he saw a picture of Hitler when he was in third grade.

00:03:46.140 He's a Hitler youth that I mean, anything they will use anything. 1.00

00:03:51.420 You're on the verge of winning. Don't do it. Don't do it.

00:03:56.920 They are being exposed for who they are in their arrogance.

00:04:00.820 They are being exposed. Donald Trump, please, somebody at the White House, please listen to me.

00:04:07.300 When this coverage is happening during parts of the GOP convention where it's talking about who we are as a nation,

00:04:16.360 just put up a secondary box with live riots in one of these cities.

00:04:23.340 And just say the choice is clear.

00:04:25.820 The choice is clear.

00:04:27.440 We're talking about a bright future for America.

00:04:32.180 And this is what the Democrats are silent about.

00:04:35.420 This is the America they promise.

00:04:38.040 The choice is clear.

00:04:39.560 Please, Republicans, start doing that.

00:04:44.600 Please.

00:04:45.980 It is a clear, stark choice between good and evil.

00:04:49.480 Put them next to each other.

00:04:52.080 And listen to the words of Martin Luther King.

00:04:54.260 The best of the Glenn Beck program.

00:05:03.780 If you are ready for some really great news, keep listening.

00:05:08.420 Built Bar is back and it is unbelievable.

00:05:15.300 It's an all-American story.

00:05:16.540 This is a client I asked to be on the show because I didn't listen to my wife again. 1.00

00:05:19.580 And she's been telling me about it, but it has a protein bar on it.

00:05:22.540 And those always taste like a doormat.

00:05:25.400 This is unbelievable.

00:05:27.460 The mint brownie flavor.

00:05:29.080 Oh, yes, baby.

00:05:29.920 It is life-changing.

00:05:31.500 The new bars taste better than ever.

00:05:33.820 In addition to the 12 original flavors, Built Bar just added cookies and cream, carrot cake,

00:05:38.580 caramel brownie, lemon almond cheesecake, apple almond crisp.

00:05:42.420 I mean, it's just, it's great.

00:06:03.660 On the ABC podcast, where they were covering the convention, they stumbled onto the secret

00:06:13.240 combinations at the RNC convention.

00:06:17.340 Listen.

00:06:18.180 Last night, though, at the Republican National Convention, some of the more fringe personalities

00:06:22.180 of the party were not on the fringe anymore.

00:06:24.840 Uh-oh.

00:06:25.580 Uh-oh.

00:06:25.840 Nothing prepared me for what I saw on the screen.

00:06:30.780 An unborn baby fighting back, desperate to move away from the suction.

00:06:37.520 Early in the evening, a former Planned Parenthood employee gave a graphic description of what

00:06:42.800 she described as a horrific work environment.

00:06:45.620 See, for me, abortion is real.

00:06:49.300 I know what it sounds like.

00:06:51.220 I know what abortion smells like. 0.92

00:06:53.600 Did you know abortion even had a smell?

00:06:57.280 Planned Parenthood had already said her account was not supported by documents, but the real

00:07:01.160 questions were over her other past comments, like when she suggested reverting to household

00:07:06.300 votes where husbands voted for wives, or comments earlier this summer where she said police would

00:07:11.680 be smart to profile her biracial son.

00:07:14.940 Democrats pressured schools to allow boys to compete in girls' sports and use girls' locker

00:07:21.380 rooms.

00:07:21.760 Those are the facts.

00:07:23.880 Yes, they are.

00:07:25.360 And Abby Johnson is here to answer for her fact crime. 1.00

00:07:28.720 Fringe personality, Abby Johnson.

00:07:30.700 Hello, Abby.

00:07:31.560 How are you?

00:07:33.400 Hello.

00:07:34.140 I'm doing well.

00:07:35.440 Uh, your speech was very powerful.

00:07:37.140 To answer your question, no, I did not know that it had a smell.

00:07:41.700 And I, I'm so wildly curious, but I don't want to ever know.

00:07:46.880 So thank you, uh, for your, your testimony last night.

00:07:51.480 Um, being a fringe candidate, let's, let's our fringe of a speaker.

00:07:56.440 Um, let's just first ask you a couple of questions.

00:07:59.220 The thing about, you know, profiling your, your son, biracial son, is that because you don't

00:08:05.060 trust him because he's, he's mixed race?

00:08:07.160 Is that what it is?

00:08:08.940 Yeah.

00:08:09.420 Well, I mean, he is 50.

00:08:11.880 I just, yeah, I know.

00:08:13.660 I just can't trust a five-year-old kid.

00:08:15.680 I know.

00:08:16.180 He's probably out hijacking your car, carjacking your car right now, right now.

00:08:19.900 Exactly.

00:08:20.240 Right now.

00:08:20.860 Right now.

00:08:21.360 So what did you mean by 55 year old?

00:08:23.420 What did you mean by that?

00:08:24.540 Or did you even say that?

00:08:26.900 I did.

00:08:27.560 I did not say that.

00:08:28.920 I mean, you know, I, I did a video.

00:08:32.100 I talked about different conversations that I'm going to have to have with my biracial son

00:08:38.900 than I'm going to have to have with my white kids. 0.83

00:08:44.320 And, um, I basically just, I talked about statistics. 0.95

00:08:49.360 I talked about violent crimes in the black community. 1.00

00:08:54.060 Um, I talked about what that's going to look like for my son.

00:08:59.260 Um, okay.

00:09:00.840 And I got it.

00:09:01.740 I got it.

00:09:02.200 Somehow, somehow that turned into me being okay with, um, police profiling my, uh, profiling

00:09:17.460 my, I got it.

00:09:19.160 Anyone with the common sense.

00:09:20.860 And treating him unjustly, which I, I clearly said in the video, if my son is treated unjustly

00:09:27.960 because he's biracial, it's not okay. 1.00

00:09:31.240 So let me just ask you this.

00:09:33.120 Why do you want your husband to make all the decisions in the house and vote for you? 1.00

00:09:37.120 And so you don't, here's the other thing.

00:09:39.100 I, I mean, I write this tweet.

00:09:41.860 I, I put this tweet out.

00:09:43.980 It was actually sort of a funny, uh, tweet a long time ago.

00:09:49.220 Like, Hey guys, tell me like the most interesting, most controversial things that swirl through

00:09:54.840 your head, which we got the funniest responses.

00:09:57.980 It was like the most interesting, funniest tweet I've ever put on Twitter.

00:10:02.500 And, um, I say in there like, Hey, you know what I think is interesting?

00:10:08.240 The concept of household voting, you know?

00:10:12.540 Um, all of a sudden now I want to take back a woman's right to vote. 1.00

00:10:18.380 Um, women should never be allowed to vote. 1.00

00:10:23.340 It's crazy.

00:10:24.240 Um, and, and you know what?

00:10:26.120 I'm anti-woman. 1.00

00:10:27.080 Abby, I have to tell you the household vote.

00:10:29.620 Women voted.

00:10:30.640 Women did vote. 1.00

00:10:31.440 If the husband was dead, it was the, it was a household vote.

00:10:35.440 So it didn't matter if it was male or female, who was the head of the household.

00:10:40.160 And they did it because they wanted people to have skin in the game.

00:10:44.900 So you would vote.

00:10:46.080 If you owned your house, you had skin in the game so you could go, but you had one vote

00:10:51.180 per household.

00:10:52.380 Anyway, it's, I mean, why we're even talking about that is crazy.

00:10:54.880 I just think it's, I just think it's an interesting concept.

00:10:57.600 I mean, I never was like, women should never be allowed to vote, but suddenly, but look,

00:11:02.240 this is the thing, Glenn.

00:11:04.680 They were so concerned.

00:11:06.700 Here's the thing.

00:11:07.500 I made it very clear what I was going to talk about in my speech.

00:11:10.580 Yep.

00:11:11.500 So now here come all of the leftist pro aborts that are like, let's dig up everything she's

00:11:19.340 ever said that we can completely take out of context.

00:11:22.300 That we can misconstrue and let's twist it around and let's take the focus off of what

00:11:29.560 she's actually, actually going to say in her talk, because she's going to expose the barbarity 1.00

00:11:35.200 and the reality of abortion.

00:11:36.760 We can't allow that to actually be the focus.

00:11:39.940 Yep.

00:11:40.660 Been there, done that.

00:11:42.420 So, Abby, let's talk about what you did say.

00:11:46.220 Unbelievably powerful.

00:11:47.620 Um, you know, there's a movie out about you that I, I think you are a real hero.

00:11:53.480 You were a Democrat and you were the employee of the year for Planned Parenthood.

00:12:01.360 Um, and you talked about the Margaret Sanger award.

00:12:04.500 And I read a story a couple of days ago that they're quietly backing away from Margaret Sanger.

00:12:09.320 Now, do you believe any of that's genuine?

00:12:11.600 No, I mean, I think it's a, I think it's just a, sort of a PR stunt right now because they

00:12:20.400 had, um, they had some employees come out and talk about, you know, how Planned Parenthood

00:12:32.140 is racist. 0.81

00:12:33.420 And, uh, they talked about, these employees talked about Margaret Sanger and her jaded

00:12:38.880 history.

00:12:40.300 Um, and so now I think they're sort of trying to, to back away from Planned Parenthood.

00:12:45.640 New York came out and said, no, we're changing the name of our building because of it and

00:12:50.120 all this.

00:12:50.720 But I don't think it's anything.

00:12:52.420 I don't think there's anything genuine.

00:12:54.540 Do you really believe that the, um, abortion clinics of Planned Parenthood are placed in

00:13:03.560 the, uh, black areas of towns primarily, uh, because they still want to eliminate the 0.94

00:13:12.360 black race? 0.95

00:13:15.120 I think it, I think it's twofold.

00:13:17.380 I think that there is a racial component there, but I think it's also a business strategy.

00:13:23.540 Um, I mean, but when you look at the allegations that are being made by these employees that

00:13:29.420 have left Planned Parenthood, um, you know, the allegations of racism, I mean, there is

00:13:34.780 still definitely this, this foundational racism that still flows throughout the corporate

00:13:43.200 culture of Planned Parenthood.

00:13:44.600 Um, you said last night that this is the most, uh, anti-abortion president we've ever had.

00:13:55.600 And I think that might be true.

00:13:59.540 Um, but back that up.

00:14:04.440 I mean, if you look at the policies that he's passed, if you look at the number of policies

00:14:11.180 that he's passed, um, and if you look at the two Supreme Court justices that he has appointed

00:14:18.540 and their votes on, uh, on issues that have come before them, pro-life issues that have

00:14:24.840 come before them and the way that they have voted, um, I mean, it's pretty.

00:14:31.260 Clear.

00:14:31.700 I mean, it's pretty, it's pretty clear.

00:14:36.220 Um, and I mean, do we still have work to do?

00:14:40.960 Absolutely.

00:14:42.440 Um, but even just with the convention, I mean, there's never been a former abortion worker

00:14:49.180 step on that stage.

00:14:50.380 Um, I mean, life was, has really been a core component of what's been raised and talked

00:14:57.940 about at the convention.

00:14:59.400 And when you compare that to the fact that for the first time in years, no one from Planned

00:15:07.680 Parenthood, no one from the abortion lobby stepped on the stage at the DNC this year.

00:15:13.480 Uh, that's, that's pretty telling.

00:15:16.680 I think that it's the tide is turning.

00:15:20.200 The tide is turning.

00:15:22.400 Yeah.

00:15:22.880 I will tell you that, uh, you know, I, I found it interesting that the networks were saying

00:15:27.380 that, you know, you were on, you were a fringe candidate and you were on when the networks

00:15:30.660 didn't cover.

00:15:31.740 Well, who's making that rule?

00:15:34.300 You have the list of who's on.

00:15:36.320 If you think this person is so dangerous and so fringy, that would be the one I'd say,

00:15:40.980 move the commercials or, you know, shut Stephanopoulos up or whatever.

00:15:45.340 We're covering this because this person is a crackpot, but they didn't cover you, which

00:15:50.740 to me says, they know that your message last night would be very effective.

00:15:57.080 So don't cover it.

00:16:01.100 Yeah.

00:16:01.760 You know, MSNBC actually cut away to a commercial as soon as I stepped up and began speaking.

00:16:08.840 Um, they don't want their audience to hear what I have to say.

00:16:13.740 Right.

00:16:14.700 Um, surprisingly CNN, uh, they did, um, air my talk.

00:16:21.740 They did not cut away.

00:16:23.900 Um, it's, you know, it's, it's really a game.

00:16:30.360 I mean, it's a game.

00:16:31.820 What do you think this election is really all about?

00:16:36.880 Cause I don't think it's about Donald Trump and Joe Biden.

00:16:39.080 What does this election mean?

00:16:44.980 Oh, um, I mean, I, I think that, um, I mean, you're right.

00:16:54.800 I don't think that it's about, I don't think it's about Trump.

00:16:57.540 I don't think it's about any of that.

00:16:59.100 I mean, I think that, um, where do we, I think we're on the verge, I think we're on

00:17:05.200 the verge of anarchy right now in our country.

00:17:08.820 You know, I just did an hour, um, and where I said, you know, I think we could be in civil

00:17:13.600 war by Christmas time.

00:17:14.700 Uh, you know, this thing is coming apart at the seams, uh, you know, all the crazy things

00:17:20.300 that I was talking about in, in 08, 9, 10, 12, they're all, it's all happening right now.

00:17:26.440 Uh, and, uh, it, for the first time I looked up to Stu and I said, any of that sound like

00:17:33.100 hyperbole and in the break.

00:17:35.020 And he said, no, I think it all could very well happen tomorrow.

00:17:40.460 And I think Americans know that.

00:17:42.600 I think we all feel it.

00:17:44.020 This is a choice between good and evil, and it is a choice between survival and suicide

00:17:50.220 really is. 0.89

00:17:51.600 I think the left is a death cult. 0.98

00:17:54.020 It's just a death cult. 0.81

00:17:57.600 Well, it's lawlessness.

00:18:00.680 And I don't think America wants lawlessness.

00:18:04.300 And we're seeing that happen in, in cities, in democratic cities across the country right

00:18:08.760 now.

00:18:09.060 And I think the more that it happens, the more people are being convinced to vote for

00:18:16.100 Donald Trump.

00:18:17.100 Yeah.

00:18:17.800 Yeah.

00:18:18.860 Uh, Abby, thank you so much for everything that you have, uh, done in the past and continue

00:18:23.940 to do.

00:18:24.480 You are really an American hero.

00:18:27.180 Uh, and, uh, and thank you for your courage.

00:18:30.080 You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck program.

00:18:35.000 I, I beg of you to, uh, support and pray for Elijah Schaefer and everyone who is working

00:19:01.040 now on the streets in these riots, please pray for, uh, for a hedge of protection around

00:19:08.860 them.

00:19:09.140 Uh, yesterday we had Elijah on and he was talking to us about, uh, you know, somebody

00:19:15.540 who pulled a gun out.

00:19:16.600 And as we told him, he didn't realize at the time, the guy dry fired, he just pulled the

00:19:22.400 trigger in Elijah's face.

00:19:24.820 You could hear it.

00:19:26.120 Well, last night he finds himself in the middle of a shootout where somebody is, uh, well,

00:19:33.320 it was actually two shootouts.

00:19:35.760 Uh, one guy was shot in the head.

00:19:38.420 Um, the other, the shooter, Elijah had interviewed shortly before, uh, and I, I, I said to him

00:19:47.960 yesterday, please reconsider, but these guys are the war reporters of our day.

00:19:54.780 Uh, and Elijah's joining us now.

00:19:57.420 Hello, Elijah.

00:19:59.300 Hello, Glenn.

00:20:00.140 Thank you so much for having me on.

00:20:01.960 Uh, so Elijah, first of all, uh, I saw you on with, uh, Steven Crowder yesterday on the

00:20:06.900 blaze and again, terrifying for me, at least watching you.

00:20:11.040 I, I, I wish you would come home.

00:20:13.240 Um, uh, can you tell me the names of the reporters that are with you?

00:20:18.440 Not just with the blaze who's with, who's with you every night.

00:20:22.740 Yeah.

00:20:23.820 Okay.

00:20:24.460 So I would like to say this too.

00:20:26.360 These are the people who are with America.

00:20:29.280 Um, considering the fact that in these, uh, in this event, Twitter, uh, likes to curate

00:20:35.720 this event as breaking news, but the people they referenced and the articles they used,

00:20:40.420 uh, happened to be the people who were not actually on the ground.

00:20:44.060 It's a disinformation campaign, but the people who were there, I always say this, even if

00:20:48.820 you don't like their commentary, video evidence does not lie.

00:20:53.160 And, um, we have amazing journalists.

00:20:57.140 There is, uh, George Ventura from the daily caller doing great work.

00:21:01.340 There's also Shelby Talcott and Richie McGinnis.

00:21:04.400 They're for all from daily caller.

00:21:05.740 And there's a couple more, uh, there's Kalen Dalmeida.

00:21:09.700 Um, he is from Scriber news, their independent, uh, think tank and news source.

00:21:14.380 Uh, and then we also have on top of that, Julio Rozos from town hall, uh, and then drew from

00:21:22.580 his independent from the lives matter show.

00:21:24.280 And there's this group of people not directly connected, uh, just eager to show America what

00:21:30.320 is actually happening because I think America is desperate to know, and they deserve and

00:21:35.700 have the right to know what's going on there.

00:21:38.140 All right.

00:21:39.280 Elijah, I don't know if I can get my hands on eight.

00:21:42.420 I think I counted eight, um, uh, but I am going to send up, uh, bulletproof vests for

00:21:49.780 you and all of these reporters.

00:21:52.420 I don't care if they work for the blaze or not.

00:21:54.560 You guys need vests.

00:21:57.700 So I'm going to, I'm going to see if I can rate even my, my family's, uh, vests, uh, and

00:22:05.440 get them up to you right away.

00:22:06.960 Um, and, and, and I please wear them, please wear them.

00:22:13.780 Will you?

00:22:16.000 Yeah, I absolutely will.

00:22:17.960 I think, I think like probably the, the, the person who's sitting there listening to this,

00:22:24.280 you think, why would I need to wear a bulletproof vest on the public streets and the neighborhoods

00:22:31.640 of the United States of America?

00:22:33.820 Because I know, I, we all know America is a great place, but it's, it's got its wild,

00:22:39.940 it's got its wild, uh, characteristics.

00:22:42.380 And, and there are certain areas and certain jobs that maybe would require them, but using

00:22:47.780 a camera and just filming what are constitutional rights, should that put you in, in the path

00:22:53.860 of, of, of bullets?

00:22:55.520 Tell America, tell America what you witnessed last night, what happened last night?

00:23:02.120 Okay.

00:23:02.860 Uh, I need to give a precursor, which is something that at least we, we do at, at blaze, but they

00:23:08.960 don't do everywhere else.

00:23:09.980 And just let you know that all of this is alleged that people are innocent until proven guilty.

00:23:14.820 And so all of these, uh, details, um, should be scrutinized and we're still putting some

00:23:19.940 of the story together and we don't know everything.

00:23:22.620 Uh, but I will tell you this, that, uh, I was following some black block, what appeared 0.96

00:23:28.960 to be Antifa inspired individuals, as well as black lives matter rioters.

00:23:34.740 Uh, this is during a state of emergency, violating a curfew.

00:23:38.980 And in an unlawful and illegal assembly declared by the sheriffs and, uh, local law enforcement,

00:23:46.620 we were pushed back, uh, outside of the uptown Kenosha, Wisconsin area.

00:23:52.200 Now, by who you were pushed back by who we are pushed back by the law enforcement who the

00:23:58.880 mayor was given emergency powers to handle and to disperse writers.

00:24:04.540 Now, Washington post, uh, I will say called the victims in this shooting, uh, protesters.

00:24:12.180 And I'll tell you why they're wrong.

00:24:14.020 Um, this group I was following, uh, was armed with metal bats with hammers and in some cases,

00:24:21.800 bricks, uh, or, and finding large stones.

00:24:25.060 We came upon a car lot, uh, sort of like a car shop and immediately, uh, like any peaceful

00:24:32.900 protester would do fighting for, uh, equality and against police brutality.

00:24:38.500 They, uh, decided to completely destroy every single vehicle that they could lay their eyes

00:24:45.340 on and not just through minor, you know, kicks and bumps.

00:24:49.100 I mean, throwing boulders through the front window till glass shattered one by one, taking

00:24:55.060 hammers and knocking out windows and lights.

00:24:58.620 And even to the point, a brand new looking infinity SUV, something that a family probably used,

00:25:05.420 somebody loves, you know, cars are a part of our lives, lighting it on trying, lighting

00:25:10.320 it on fire.

00:25:10.760 I mean, just straight up being arsons, um, they were, they were taking apart every car

00:25:17.720 piece by piece.

00:25:19.280 And the worst part is, is according to one of the writers who was with the group, he's

00:25:24.580 going, that's my lot.

00:25:25.740 That's my, my, my place.

00:25:27.460 So the tables have turned, the writers can't even tell who's their own, destroying their

00:25:32.780 own city right before this happened.

00:25:35.320 Um, this was chaos.

00:25:36.980 This was anarchy.

00:25:38.240 This wasn't just rioting.

00:25:39.720 This was felony criminal targeting of private property.

00:25:44.760 Okay.

00:25:45.300 So then you do an interview with somebody, um, and they're being labeled today as white supremacists.

00:25:54.940 Yeah.

00:25:55.580 You know, um, unfortunately for us, uh, that seek the truth, everybody who does something

00:26:02.900 that is advantageous to the radical and far left agenda will be labeled a white supremacist.

00:26:08.660 Even if you're black, uh, you'll be labeled that if you're a Jew, you'll be labeled that

00:26:13.140 even if it doesn't make sense.

00:26:14.260 Um, but these groups of individuals, um, I, I did something that's lost and you know, this,

00:26:20.140 we actually interviewed people instead of speculating to find out who they were and what

00:26:24.460 they're there for.

00:26:25.840 Um, there were a couple of groups and I don't know if they're connected.

00:26:28.700 There were, uh, people wearing Hawaiian shirts, maybe inspired by certain, um, movements, uh,

00:26:35.880 like boogaloo movements.

00:26:36.800 I don't know if they're directly affiliated.

00:26:38.500 I don't think they were.

00:26:39.580 There were also libertarian, um, libertarian, malicious style, uh, multi-ethnic, by the way,

00:26:46.780 multi-racial.

00:26:48.260 And then there were some other individuals in similar fatigues that were defending businesses

00:26:53.100 using CS gas.

00:26:54.580 And I asked them, you know, what, what are you doing?

00:26:56.520 And this is what I want to point out.

00:26:58.740 I don't know if all the groups were connected organizationally, but everybody I talked to

00:27:04.240 who clearly was in military, you know, uh, fatigues of some sort had two common factors.

00:27:11.080 Number one, they said that they supported the riots that they, I mean the, and the protests.

00:27:15.960 In fact, they believe the insurrection against the government in some ways is part of the protected

00:27:20.780 right of the people.

00:27:21.560 But they also, number two, uh, continually said that they didn't believe that we had the

00:27:27.040 right to attack each other's private property.

00:27:29.540 And I watched as this man who we are going to find out is the alleged shooter, innocent

00:27:36.300 until proven guilty.

00:27:37.360 And we don't even know if he's in the wrong once investigations happen.

00:27:41.040 Uh, we're not sure yet what, what the full situation is.

00:27:44.500 He is an EMT, uh, from his own words, and he was offering medical help to injured black

00:27:50.100 lives matter protesters. 0.97

00:27:51.580 So I don't know about you, but that's a pretty bad white supremacist. 0.56

00:27:55.680 It's not only he verbally supports the black lives matter movement, but also offers medical

00:28:00.680 help for people who are hurt.

00:28:02.640 Okay.

00:28:02.780 So, but he was carrying a long rifle, was he not?

00:28:07.000 Yeah.

00:28:07.500 And he told me that he was, he himself was only carrying lethal rounds.

00:28:11.800 So that is confirmed.

00:28:13.140 And he was capable and willing to use lethal force if he had to, to defend, uh, the property

00:28:19.160 of his city.

00:28:19.900 Let me play the interview.

00:28:20.920 Here it is.

00:28:21.680 We're protecting from the citizens.

00:28:23.220 And I just got pepper sprayed by a person in the crowd.

00:28:26.820 So you had non-lethal, but you didn't respond.

00:28:30.180 We don't have non-lethal.

00:28:32.060 So you guys are full on ready to defend the property.

00:28:35.160 Yes, we are.

00:28:35.880 Now, if I can ask, can you guys step back?

00:28:38.140 Medical, AMS right here.

00:28:39.780 I'm an EMT.

00:28:40.560 You guys need a medic?

00:28:41.560 I'm, uh, you guys mind?

00:28:42.460 So it shows that they were there to protect that air, that, that particular building,

00:28:48.520 but also it shows that they were providing medical and it didn't matter who was, was

00:28:54.060 hurt.

00:28:54.820 Um, then how, about an hour later, I'm going to play the video and describe the scene.

00:29:01.000 What's happening here.

00:29:02.000 This is, uh, a guy laying down on the street.

00:29:10.740 I think that's the guy you interviewed and he had a long rifle and he was shooting at

00:29:13.720 people.

00:29:14.360 Tell me what happened.

00:29:17.260 Right.

00:29:17.820 So, uh, while we were at the car lot, I, I do not know what started the initial altercation

00:29:24.500 and the reports are still not clear.

00:29:26.800 And it's okay as a reporter to just say, yeah, we need more, more video evidence.

00:29:32.320 But at certain point there was an altercation between this man and another man at the car

00:29:37.440 lot.

00:29:37.840 He did open fire multiple shots, several.

00:29:41.240 Um, so at least more than three or four, uh, in a very quick burst, which sent a lot of

00:29:47.740 us running because they, you know, appeared to go through the car.

00:29:51.220 I was standing right there.

00:29:52.860 And when you see someone raise their rifle and start shooting, uh, usually that's a good 1.00

00:29:57.240 time to not be there anymore.

00:29:59.060 Uh, but the moment within seconds, somebody screamed, you know, I shot someone, oh my gosh.

00:30:06.960 And people are going, I, it was just chaos for a second.

00:30:10.740 I'm going, oh man, someone got shot.

00:30:12.960 And I went ahead and, uh, ran, ran over as fast as possible, uh, right back to the situation.

00:30:20.500 And a man had been, what appeared to have been shot in the head.

00:30:24.180 Um, I, I'm not going to get into everything else, but I know that the, the guy who, who

00:30:29.500 allegedly shot him, um, did take off running and good for him because I'm pretty sure they

00:30:37.100 probably would have tried to kill him.

00:30:39.060 I've seen this happen before, uh, like in Dallas, um, whether it was justified or not,

00:30:43.960 I'm not, I can't speculate.

00:30:45.680 However, when he was running there, there was a, uh, altercation to try to disarm him,

00:30:51.700 it appears.

00:30:52.700 And there was a disagreement over the rifle.

00:30:55.600 And as the guy who jumped on him to try to disarm him is got his arm badly, badly shot.

00:31:03.100 Okay.

00:31:04.040 Um, Elijah Schaefer, please tell all of the reporters with you, please, please listen to

00:31:11.260 promptings and, and do everything you can to stay safe.

00:31:16.760 Um, Elijah Schaefer, thank you for what you guys do.
