Today is a fabulous podcast. Stu, I would say today is the big show. Yesterday was the pre-big
00:00:06.000
show. We thought it was the big show. Yeah, we don't want to say that every show we continue
00:00:10.540
to hype as the greatest show to try to sell people out. But this one truly is. We're just
00:00:14.760
rating it that way. We're just rating it. Yesterday we were wrong. Sorry if you got
00:00:18.800
sucked into that trap. Today we have Bill O'Reilly kind of gone, really went to a weird
00:00:25.500
place with Bill today. That's probably weird even to say just that. We also talk about
00:00:32.640
the sellouts in Congress. We explain exactly why Merrick Garland is now using the FBI to
00:00:40.120
go after all those moms and dads, especially in Virginia or anybody that's questioning their
00:00:45.740
school board. And we have Victor Davis Hanson on to talk about the dying citizen. What does
00:00:54.280
it take to bring America back? And my review of the new James Bond movie. All that and more
00:01:08.620
You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck program.
00:01:12.680
I want to bring in a real patriot, Azra Nomani. She is the vice president for strategy and
00:01:24.540
investigations at Parents Defending Education, where she is the editor of the Indoctrination
00:01:30.020
database and FOIA work. She's also the coalition of the co-founder of Coalition for TJ, a group
00:01:37.300
of parents and community members in Virginia. She's a former reporter for the Wall Street Journal,
00:01:43.200
co-director of the Pearl Project and co-founder of the Muslim Reform Movement. This woman has been
00:01:50.000
fighting a good fight for a very long time. Yesterday, she came out with a story that is so
00:01:58.340
important. As our FBI and the Department of Justice under Merrick Garland are coming out and and looking
00:02:07.640
for the terrorists that are the parents. She her group got a tip that Merrick Garland might have a
00:02:18.220
conflict of interest. And she is with us now to explain. Azra, welcome to the program.
00:02:23.780
Azra, are you there? Hear me? Yes, I can hear you. Okay, great, great, great. Thanks. Yeah, thank you. Thank
00:02:31.580
you for your kind words, too. But I was so looking forward to talking to you because you're an
00:02:35.920
investigator. So you know how to follow the money. And and I knew that you would get this story and
00:02:43.060
you would understand how important it is. Oh, yeah. Okay, so let's let's go through. Yeah, his daughter,
00:02:49.700
Merrick Garland's daughter is married to what's his name? Tanner. No, I know. I'm going to I'm
00:02:57.920
going to make you go through this. No, I'm going to make you go through this. This is another example
00:03:03.440
of how ridiculous it is. His actual name is Alexander, but he goes by Zam. Because that's what
00:03:11.660
every nickname is for Alexander, right? Oh, yeah, sure. So his daughter, his name is Rebecca Garland.
00:03:17.500
And the daughter grew up in, you know, the comfortable life of her dad and mom, and went
00:03:26.740
to Yale. And then at Yale, she reconnected with an old childhood acquaintance, Van, and they got
00:03:34.560
married. And it should have just ended there as a happy, you know, love story. Yes, right. New York
00:03:40.100
Times wedding announcement, the whole thing. And what's in the first paragraph, of course, that
00:03:44.620
her father, Merrick Garland attended. And then a few paragraphs later, Van was a co-founder
00:03:56.780
Panorama Education. That sounds epic. What do they do?
00:04:01.140
Yeah, it sounds so tame, right? It's just they pick the perfect, perfect disguise. It's a
00:04:07.540
perfect Trojan horse. So let me just fast forward to the fact that we now have venture capitalists
00:04:15.600
investing in Panorama Education. So it must be hot. Yeah. And one of those investors is a man by the
00:04:22.140
name of Mark Zuckerberg. Wow. Yeah, why would Mark Zuckerberg be interested in this education
00:04:29.700
company based in Boston by a couple of Yale graduates, because it is a data mining company.
00:04:38.260
And what Panorama Education does is they use these fancy words called social and emotional learning.
00:04:47.020
So just think about that, like combination of words so bizarre, social and emotional learning. What
00:04:52.020
does that mean? Well, when my kid was small, it was just like, learn to have critical thinking and
00:04:59.520
have character and be nice to others. Now, they are using it as an excuse to mess with kids' heads.
00:05:08.380
And some of the questions in these, quote, screeners, that's what they're calling their surveys,
00:05:13.820
are things like, are you gender fluid? What's your position on race? Are you happy? Are you sad?
00:05:21.080
And literally, parents are not even aware about these surveys.
00:05:27.580
Okay, so here's the thing. If you listen to Megyn Kelly, she kind of talked about this,
00:05:33.000
but she didn't know necessarily what it was. But her child came back home and said,
00:05:38.180
I'm asked if I still feel like I'm a boy. And they do it every week.
00:05:42.420
Exactly. It's from one company or the other. It is an industry. So Panorama Education is just
00:05:49.340
the tip of the iceberg in this multi-million dollar industry. And let's be clear about what
00:05:56.320
they are. They're government contractors. They're not just an education company. They're not just
00:06:02.680
like, oh, we're here for child welfare. They are government contractors. And so Merrick Garland's
00:06:09.620
son-in-law is profiting off the backs of our country's children. And we're not talking little
00:06:17.840
Yeah. Let me give you, let me get some facts here. Fairfax County, Fairfax County public schools
00:06:23.340
signed quietly an $1.8 million contract with Panorama Education for their screening, where they ask the
00:06:35.420
students questions whether they feel sad or gender fluid, et cetera, et cetera. Yeah. The Panorama
00:06:43.640
Education staff gets status now as school officials. So they have a right to the private student data
00:06:52.660
under federal law. Yeah. Just, just people need to just absorb what you just said. I mean,
00:06:59.980
it's so dramatic. Contractors are getting status as school officials equal to teachers or principal,
00:07:09.080
school board members. And they are basically data scientists or even data nothings, you know, but just
00:07:17.040
absorbing this information about kids. And Glenn, this is the breaking news headline for you because
00:07:23.500
I know you love breaking news. $1.8 million was the agreement in June. Nobody even knew about it.
00:07:31.340
They started having board meetings and they just mentioned, oh, we got COVID money, okay, over the
00:07:37.300
summer. And guess what? We're going to spend it on this screener. So there was this vigilant mom who
00:07:43.000
heard just this mention in a school board meeting and she asked them, what is the screener? So that's how
00:07:48.800
she got the information about the $1.8 million contract. And then she called us at Parents
00:07:54.080
Defending Education and gave us the tip. But guess what? They then quietly signed another agreement,
00:08:01.900
an addendum in September, raising the number to $2.4 million.
00:08:09.160
That's one school district, one school district.
00:08:13.400
And that happened in early September. And then within a month, I went to the school board and I
00:08:20.520
protested the wastage of this money. And days later, the school board association, you know,
00:08:28.440
summons the FBI. I'm not saying it's because of me, but I know that they know that parents' eyes are
00:08:34.860
on these contracts. And then we got this edict from Merrick Garland to shut us up.
00:08:40.500
So here's the, here's what I want you to know. The federal government is data mining our children.
00:08:47.200
They are asking that they, they themselves are allowing contractors funded by Zuckerberg,
00:08:56.280
uh, and Merrick Garland's son and daughter, son-in-law and daughter. It's their company.
00:09:04.100
They're going into our school districts in the cover of night with the school board.
00:09:09.540
They are getting this information. They are deeming the people who are processing this information as
00:09:15.740
school officials so they can have access to all of this and share it with third parties without
00:09:23.140
parental notification or consent. Yeah. And so then what happened is that we raised questions about it
00:09:32.020
and then they suddenly announced, Oh, there's going to be an opt out form that parents can sign,
00:09:39.420
but it wasn't available for days. It wasn't even unclear. Who do you send it to? And then guess
00:09:47.140
what? Parents started filling it out and they then started getting emails literally asking,
00:09:52.920
did you make a quote mistake? Are you sure you wanted to opt out as if these parents made a mistake?
00:10:00.300
And by the way, the opt out date, the final date is today, right? And then can you believe that,
00:10:08.240
you know, the opt out day for a school district in Northern Virginia, but that's how important it
00:10:13.840
is. That's, and you know, the details matter. Yeah. Uh, and I also know if people start looking into
00:10:21.340
their own school board, you're going to find, uh, you're going to find, are there any other
00:10:26.000
country, uh, companies, um, besides panorama education that people should be looking for?
00:10:32.280
Oh my gosh, this is so fantastic. So one other little nugget I want to just share with you and
00:10:36.520
your listeners is that, that Fairfax County public schools, we have discovered also shared
00:10:44.120
information on all of the students before a single opt out form was even presented to parents.
00:10:51.340
So, yeah. So they got the student name, the student ID number, their class and, um, their school. And
00:11:00.860
everybody needs to remember that the, this child, the market of children, as any parent knows,
00:11:07.540
they spend a lot of money. We spend a lot of money on them. So this is a big market that,
00:11:12.020
that companies want to understand. So let me tell you. So what happened is that this
00:11:17.980
eagle eye mom also submitted a FOIA to find out who were the other bidders, because this one of all
00:11:25.700
things, we actually had other bidders and, and I'm going to name some of the companies that weren't
00:11:30.980
bidders in Fairfax County, but there's a company called Castle, C-A-S-C-L. They are huge in this
00:11:37.180
business. C-A-S-T-E-L. C-A-S-E-L. E-L. Castle. Okay. Yeah. Castle is a big company. Okay. Then,
00:11:46.640
then we have, um, another company that, um, they're all such like strange names that you kind of start
00:11:54.040
forgetting what they are. Yeah. But, um, but then New York University has a company, um, and they,
00:12:01.360
it's their education department. So you just have to look up if there's a contract with New York
00:12:05.540
University. Um, and then we have, uh, this other company that is culturally responsive and they do,
00:12:13.380
you know, to make it all sound so good. So culturally responsive is the name of the company.
00:12:18.800
Yeah, exactly. Um, okay. And I'm going to get you a whole list. Okay. Please do. And I will,
00:12:25.280
I will tweet it out today. If you're in the Fairfax County school district, your opt out date
00:12:31.200
ends today, you better get on the stick. If this is the first time that you've heard about this. Um,
00:12:38.460
this is, this is, um, once again, our kids being sold for power and money, uh, and you know,
00:12:48.460
don't mess with my kids, man, don't mess with my kids. And this is the, the, the, uh, kindest thing
00:12:58.500
I could say is Merrick Garland, just this really brilliant guy that should have been on the Supreme
00:13:04.840
Court, just didn't see the conflict of interest, uh, you know, about, uh, saying we're going to go
00:13:10.760
after these parents who are standing up against these things with the FBI when his daughter and
00:13:17.940
son-in-law are making millions of dollars data mining the children in the very counties that he's
00:13:26.480
saying we're going to have to send the FBI into it. It's sickening. Yeah. What we've done now is
00:13:33.020
yesterday we sent a letter to Senate commerce committee to ask for a hearing on this very
00:13:39.780
important issue of big tech data mining our kids. And I hope everybody will support us like
00:13:45.360
write a letter to your Senator or representative because this, this matters because these surveys
00:13:51.960
are then used, I hope everybody understands as a way to make an excuse to get programs of
00:13:59.760
indoctrination into the schools. Oh, our kids are sad. So we need to have some uplifting anti-racism
00:14:07.440
training. You know, that's how they get their, their programs in. It's a Trojan horse.
00:14:11.860
Ezra, thank you so much. Uh, if you want to find out more information, go to defending ed,
00:14:18.400
defending ed.org, defending ed.org. Every parent must be involved. Oh, we're getting that time of
00:14:27.040
year when people are thinking about football and tailgating parties. Maybe you've got the game on
00:14:31.480
the big screen. Friends and family are gathering around to cheer for their team and have a good time.
00:14:36.240
All right. What's missing? Forget about the friends and the football food, food. You don't have anything
00:14:42.600
unless you have food and food right off a rec tech, because while the game is going down, you've got
00:14:48.460
thick, juicy burgers, hot dogs, just minutes away from being ready. And every guest is going to end
00:14:54.360
the game with a smile on their face. Even if their team loses. Sorry, Stu Eagles suck rec tech. It is
00:15:01.280

00:15:19.200
the best rec tech, R E C T E Q.com rec tech.com. This is the best of the Glenn Beck program. And don't
00:15:32.540
forget rate us on iTunes. Mr. Bill O'Reilly from Bill O'Reilly.com where you can grab his no spin news
00:15:46.940
every day. Um, it's nothing has changed just the device. I mean, you're not watching it on a cable
00:15:54.240
TV. Um, but you're, you're watching the same show that he's always done and it is just as entertaining
00:16:01.020
and just as smart. Um, Bill O'Reilly, welcome to the program. Beck, I need your help. I need your
00:16:09.800
help. All right. And that hurts me. It hurts me to say it. Okay. Um, so I'm interviewing Donald Trump
00:16:17.100
next week and I want to do a different kind of interview. Yeah. I don't want to have him venting
00:16:23.520
about the election and all of that. Okay. Yeah. So I'm asking you, and I hope we can do this in the
00:16:30.080
last three or four minutes of our, uh, interview today for suggested questions. All right. Let's,
00:16:36.700
let's take that towards the end of the show, the bottom of the, uh, bottom of the hour. Okay. Bill.
00:16:42.400
Yes. The, the 11 senators that saved America last night, the 11 GOP senators, um, people like Ted Cruz,
00:16:52.260
Mike Lee, others all said, are you, are you out of your mind? What are you doing? Uh, they were
00:16:59.980
bluffing. Um, what do you think? Well, they let the Democrats have a little safety shoot. Um, but a lot
00:17:08.860
of this stuff is not apparent to you or me or any other American. There's back room dealing and Mitch
00:17:15.400
McConnell is the biggest back room dealer, I think probably in U S history. Yeah. That's the problem.
00:17:20.900
Right. So we don't know what the deal was with Mitch and the other 11. Right. The deal might have
00:17:28.920
been, you give us this extension and we'll bring down the 3.5 trillion to two or one eight or
00:17:36.980
something. No, that's not a deal. I want it's not a deal. That's fine. But I don't know if your
00:17:42.420
precedent is really taken into account by Mitch McConnell. No, I know that, but I mean,
00:17:47.460
he should listen to the GOP that they are, they are, I'm sorry, the voters, not the GOP. The voters
00:17:55.000
are done with this and they don't want to aid and abet this, uh, this, uh, transformation of our
00:18:04.620
country. That's true. That's true. But the deal that McConnell is making, he's thinking four or five
00:18:12.840
steps out. Yeah, I am too. Um, yeah, I know. I'm not saying I'm not sticking up. Oh yeah. You know,
00:18:19.120
it's no, I'm going to take it all out on you today. Yeah. You can take it out. I'm sorry.
00:18:24.000
Um, I'm not sticking up for the turtle. Yeah. I'm just telling you something that isn't reported or
00:18:28.860
there are deals that are made. Okay. So tell me the deal, but tell me what selling your country out
00:18:37.760
would be worth. Look, look back back. The big picture is this. These Democrats and the Biden
00:18:45.940
administration want to turn the United States into a quasi socialist state where the economy is run by
00:18:53.120
the government. Yes. Everybody knows that. Yes. Right. All 80 million Americans who voted for Biden
00:18:59.720
are partially responsible for that. Yes. They're going to fail, but they could fail very quickly
00:19:07.200
if in the midterms of 2022, there is an overwhelming landslide for the Republican party. Okay. That's the
00:19:17.320
only mechanism that stops the madness. Okay. O'Reilly. O'Reilly. O'Reilly. Wait a minute. Just a second.
00:19:26.220
Um, you're right about that. Of course. Unfortunately, in that three and a half trillion dollar bill
00:19:34.720
are all kinds of infrastructure pieces. Do you remember the, hang on? Oh, yes, they are.
00:19:42.060
No, they aren't. Yes, they are. Um, do you, uh, are, are, do you, you remember the, uh, the song
00:19:48.180
by Johnny cash one piece at a time? Okay. Where he, where he was building a Cadillac, he was working
00:19:54.900
at GM and he decided instead of buying a Cadillac cause he could never afford it, he was going
00:19:59.780
to steal it and take it out in his lunchbox. One piece at a time. Took him like 40 years,
00:20:04.580
but he finally got a Cadillac that was a hideous monster. Right. That's exactly what's happening
00:20:10.060
here. Every bill they pass, every bill they pass has another piece of the great reset.
00:20:17.340
That's right. And you're absolutely correct. And I'm not arguing with you about that.
00:20:22.120
I am saying once again, when you have 80 million Americans casting a vote for a man like Joe
00:20:28.060
Biden, and they were warned by you and me and most astute commentators that you have to,
00:20:36.260
you will suffer the consequences. And we are, but after every mistake, there is a remedy. And the
00:20:45.800
remedy is next year. You're not going to stop the Biden administration from wasting trillions of
00:20:53.540
dollars on equity, climate change, or whatever other nutty thing they come up with. There's no
00:21:00.180
mechanism to stop it because the Republicans don't control either side of the house and Manchin and
00:21:08.160
Sinema who are saving the country, the two Democrats who won't vote for the 3.5 trillion, they're under
00:21:14.300
unbelievable pressure. And if the Republicans don't compromise a bit, they'll fold, they'll
00:21:22.000
fold and Biden will get the whole thing. So now what Mitch boy is doing is saying to Manchin and
00:21:29.720
Sinema, you know, we're not unreasonable. We will compromise a little bit. So you just hang
00:21:35.140
in and we'll get this thing done in a responsible way. Of course it isn't responsible. You know,
00:21:42.220
we have now a government wasting, literally wasting trillions of American taxpayer dollars.
00:21:49.160
And that's not responsible, but it's never going to stop until the American people wise up.
00:21:56.180
Right. And that's why they should vote John Barrasso in Wyoming out, Roy Blunt, Missouri,
00:22:03.080
Shelly Moore Capito from West Virginia, Susan Collins, John Cornyn from Texas. You're dead to me,
00:22:10.040
John. Mitch McConnell, Kentucky, Lisa Murkowski in Alaska. Hang on, hang on. Rob Portman in Ohio,
00:22:18.540
Mike Rounds, Richard Shelby in Alabama, and Senator John Thune. Those were the 11.
00:22:26.320
All of the 11 that voted for an extension of the debt ceiling you want out.
00:22:32.200
Yeah. I wish there was one more so I could technically call them the dirty dozen that were
00:22:36.540
the saboteurs, but I can't. It's one shot. Calm down now. Stu, do you have a wet claw if you can
00:22:44.180
dab his forehead? We can work on that. Okay. Now, I did some research today because you always ask me
00:22:50.940
on Fridays, what is the most important story of the week? Yes. Okay. So I have something that no one
00:22:58.520
knows about that is vitally important, and I'd like to tell you about it. All right. Go ahead.
00:23:04.020
All right. The most important story in the United States this week is a quiz on BillOReilly.com.
00:23:10.340
The quiz is called, Does It Make Sense? And there are 10 questions to the quiz, and I'm going to give
00:23:17.880
it to you and Stu right now. It's a yes or no answer. That's it. This is the quiz. Are you ready to take it?
00:23:26.840
Ready. First question. Does it make sense to allow millions of foreign nationals to enter the USA
00:23:34.660
unsupervised? No. Okay. All right. Question number two. Does it make sense to abandon Afghanistan
00:23:42.360
completely, leading to human rights abuses by the Taliban? No. No. Three. Does it make sense to shut
00:23:49.520
down the Keystone Pipeline just to turn around and ask Saudi Arabia to expand their oil sales? No. No.
00:23:56.840
Okay. Three no's. Fourth question. Does it make sense to support critical race theory teaching in
00:24:03.720
schools that divides children on a skin color basis? No. No. Question number five. For the federal
00:24:12.180
government, does it make sense to spend so much money that inflation explodes? No. Does that make sense?
00:24:18.440
Does not. Question number six. To support, does it make sense to support no bail laws that allow
00:24:25.800
criminals to commit more crimes? No. No. Okay. Question number seven. Does it make sense to be one of only
00:24:33.480
seven countries in the entire world that allow unrestricted abortions? No. Does that make sense? No.
00:24:40.060
Okay. Question number eight. Does it make sense to oppose voter IDs? No. All right. Nine. Does it make
00:24:48.060
sense to say that white supremacists are a larger terror threat than jihadists? No. No. And the final
00:24:55.560
question is, does it make sense for a president of the United States to accuse his own country of
00:25:01.800
systemic racism? No. Does it make sense? No. Okay. So you guys scored a hundred percent on the quiz. You
00:25:08.460
guys, I'm all right. Yes. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Now, I, okay. Wait a minute. Wait a minute.
00:25:12.840
All right. Okay. Every one of those questions has been endorsed by President Obama. Right. President,
00:25:19.480
and probably Obama too. Yes. But Biden. He's really running it. Every one of them. Yes. And if you just
00:25:25.120
see it in black and white, if you go to BillOReilly.com, it's in black and white and download it and send it
00:25:30.520
to your liberal friends, the Biden people. Does any of this make sense? Ten questions. Simple man, simple
00:25:36.700
questions. Okay. Once you see it, it becomes devastating. It becomes devastating that we have
00:25:43.000
a president who is out of control and hurting the nation in every single area. So now, does it make
00:25:51.400
sense? I've got a question for you. Yes. Does it make sense that those powerful ten statements
00:26:00.780
all came together out of incompetence or senility? No, no. It's, it's, this is by design. All of those
00:26:11.840
questions are by design. No, I don't mean that. No, I mean that the things that they're doing
00:26:16.780
is by design. They didn't, this is not a coincidence. It's not just a horrible accident that all of those
00:26:23.300
things are happening. The only one that isn't by design is the Afghanistan withdrawal. So I don't think
00:26:30.040
the progressive said, um, we're going to go in there and we're going to botch the withdrawal
00:26:37.700
from Afghanistan. So Biden will look terrible. That doesn't make sense. What they did was say,
00:26:43.060
we are going to do things, uh, that will separate America from her allies, show American military what
00:26:51.400
they really are. And we're going to ignore the military experts, damn the consequences. Correct.
00:26:56.340
Yeah, but I, I just, I disagree with you guys. I don't think that was policy going in. I think that
00:27:02.480
was just, just rank incompetence on a part of Biden. Yeah, I think so. I think he, he did not
00:27:08.840
listen to his military experts and pushed through all of their recommendations of common sense because
00:27:13.440
he was getting back pressure from the Susan Rice's of the world to, you know, get out and be a big
00:27:19.920
progressive hero. Okay. But all the other nine are absolutely what the progressive left wants. And
00:27:27.040
we have this befuddled president who does everything they want. I mean, that's the frightening situation.
00:27:34.040
So he's got to be neutralized by the Republicans. And I don't believe they are the best guys and gals
00:27:40.460
in the world. I just, as we were talking about top of the program, I mean, I'm not a big,
00:27:45.080
oh, the Republican party is so good. No, but at least they're saying this, what we have now is
00:28:02.000
Victor Davis Hanson, senior fellow Hoover Institution and author of The Dying Citizen.
00:28:09.320
Ah, Victor, how are you, sir? Very good, Glenn. Thanks for having me on.
00:28:15.080
I don't know if I'm looking forward to this interview or not because you nail, you nail the
00:28:24.120
Well, it's called it. It's called a dying. Not quite. I didn't use the title dead citizen,
00:28:29.760
right? But it's, it's, it's on a, uh, it's, it's on its last leg. It seems it's in, uh,
00:28:38.120
it's in intensive care. And I'm, I'm wondering what we have to do to be able to save it.
00:28:48.160
Well, you know, Glenn, if we'd had this conversation, I was writing this book
00:28:51.740
in the last two years of the Trump and I was worried, but had we had this conversation,
00:28:58.300
then we would have said for all of the lawsuits and the subterfuge, the border is finally becoming,
00:29:04.480
let's say by, I don't know, August, 2020 secure. And we had gone back to the idea that if you're
00:29:11.080
going to come in the United States, you had to do so legally in measured fashion and preferably with
00:29:17.060
a diverse immigration policy globally. Right. And I think we also, I think you would agree that
00:29:23.080
for all the, and I had been very critical. I know you had two of it's spending out of control by
00:29:29.660
Donald Trump's administration, but we still had low inflation and low interest and low employment.
00:29:36.360
And we didn't have people staying home or we didn't have the port of LA backed up beyond the
00:29:42.180
horizon. And you could say abroad that the Abrams 8 court had turned a new chapter in US foreign
00:29:49.100
policy. We were gradually starting to get out of Afghanistan. People had come to a consensus that
00:29:54.500
now with energy and sufficiency, we're sufficient in energy. We don't have to have these optional wars
00:30:00.540
in the Middle East that don't pan out in terms of blood and treasure for our interests, much less
00:30:05.500
the people who fight them. So we were on a trajectory that I think was, you could call it a remediation
00:30:11.100
or are we not a complete anecdote, but we were making some progress. And then we had this woke
00:30:19.340
revolution. We had COVID, we had the economic voluntary recession. We had the George Floyd riots. We had
00:30:26.900
this 102 million absentee ballot election. And it just, and by the time I finished the book, this was
00:30:35.800
happening. And I was, I thought, you know, nobody wants to read about these abstract historical and
00:30:41.440
cultural and social reasons why we lose citizenship. But then it's like, here it is you're writing about
00:30:48.960
there. It is. Yeah. It's, uh, it's really, it's really, truly terrifying how well orchestrated this
00:30:56.720
has been. I mean, this is, it's brilliant in the architecture of bringing us down to our knees.
00:31:02.980
I think so. I think in the sixties, protesters threw rocks at the Pentagon or, you know, they threw
00:31:11.220
paint on the corporate, uh, logo at the, at a corporate headquarters, or they went and stormed
00:31:16.740
the Dean's office. But now those people, they are the Dean, they are the corporate. Correct. They are
00:31:23.320
the general generals in the Pentagon. So this is a kind of a top down, uh, revolution. You know, it's,
00:31:30.080
it's, it's, it's Phyllis Quellar's, the BLM co-founder of Marxist on her fourth home,
00:31:36.900
or even Kendi charging us $20,000 for an hour of indoctrination on Zoom per corporate person.
00:31:44.380
So it's a very strange revolution. It's, it's among the elite taking these organic forces that have been
00:31:50.840
going on, weakening the middle class, weakening the purchasing power of the middle class, destroying
00:31:55.460
our borders, confusing residency with citizenship, and then re, you know, re-tribalizing. So we
00:32:01.540
identify by our race, our ethnic rather than our common American identity. But that was, that was
00:32:07.560
empowered by these elites that want to change the constitution. They grew the administrative state.
00:32:13.180
They, they unleash people, you know, General Miley, James Comey, James Clapper, John Brennan,
00:32:20.100
Eric Kleinsmith, Peter Strzok. And then we've got these people who all of a sudden, I don't know
00:32:26.520
what happened, but 180 year filibuster, no good. 50 state unions, 60 years, no good. 150 year tradition
00:32:34.760
of nine justices in the Supreme Court, no good. 233 years of electoral college, no good. 233 years of the
00:32:41.960
states have primary responsibility and national elections, no good. And that's the beginning.
00:32:47.040
They're, they're questioning what, and today in the LA Times, somebody's questioning why,
00:32:50.520
and I mentioned that in the book, actually, why we need two senators, why not make them
00:32:54.500
proportionally represented? Why should Wyoming or Idaho have any senators?
00:32:58.360
Good heavens. Read the Federalist Papers. All of the answers are in that. Good heavens.
00:33:06.700
Um, so where do we even begin? I mean, the, the, the average citizen is being taught a lesson.
00:33:15.760
Um, they're being taught a lesson, get the vaccine and like it. And don't you dare say anything about
00:33:22.060
it, uh, or lose your job. There is no law. There is no Biden mandate. Nothing's been written down.
00:33:28.660
This is just people, him suggesting it. And then everybody going, oh, there's a mandate. Um,
00:33:35.480
there be, and it's not even based on the science, Glenn. I mean, if you have had COVID, we were told
00:33:40.820
you that we were told that was an inadequate prophylaxis. Now we're told that natural acquired
00:33:46.360
immunity is superior to vaccinations, but you still need to be vaccinated. So we've got these people in
00:33:51.600
military and hospitals, some of whom a lot of them, a hundred million people have had COVID.
00:33:56.720
They have better immunity than vaccinated people. According to Biden, you have to have both, but
00:34:02.200
maybe people like me that got vaccinated, but didn't get COVID should now go out according to that logic
00:34:07.220
and get real immunity by getting right. I mean, it's, it's incoherent. Yeah. And it's, it's scary
00:34:14.000
because, uh, we're losing, uh, we've losing our minds. All of a sudden we're, we're trying,
00:34:20.820
we're firing people at UCLA who don't want to use race as a criteria to punish or reward students,
00:34:27.620
or we're shutting down small businesses, but Amazon and Walmart and target are, are just exempt.
00:34:35.760
Uh, we're putting people in jail for violating quarantine, but a thousand healthcare professionals
00:34:41.980
swear that it's better for the mental health of the nation that BLM protesters be exempted from
00:34:48.360
quarantine law. It doesn't, it's, it's asymmetrical is what I'm saying. We really saw that with
00:34:54.300
Senator, I mean, uh, Senator Sinema in the bathroom incident where she was chased by those undoc,
00:35:00.200
and then on an airplane or when Chuck Schumer yelled at the Supreme court and said, we're going to
00:35:05.720
make you pay Gorsuch and in front of a mob, or they, they rush flake. And then you compare all of that
00:35:11.680
to what they do to other citizens. It's so asymmetrical and it's a weaponization of the FBI,
00:35:18.560
the DA, the, the U S military top brass, the, the FBI, the Capitol police. I mean, it just,
00:35:26.820
it just doesn't end. And they're sending the message, sit down, shut up, do as you're told,
00:35:32.440
or we'll destroy you. And, um, it's really critical in my opinion that the, that we understand they're
00:35:41.080
only doing that because they know you can be really, really effective. If all of us start to
00:35:48.640
stand up and go, I don't care about your mandate. I don't care. Um, I, I don't care if you try to
00:35:54.120
destroy me. I don't care. I believe these things are self-evident life, liberty, pursuit of happiness,
00:36:00.300
and those aren't the only rights. And I believe in the bill of rights and I believe in the
00:36:04.040
constitution. And I don't believe that just because you're white, you have to pay for something that a
00:36:09.660
bunch of white people you're not even related to, uh, did 150 years ago. I'm not standing for it
00:36:17.160
anymore. I know. And you can already see indications of that Glenn. I mean, suddenly the Tony awards,
00:36:25.040
the Grammy awards, the Oscar, they've just disappeared from the popular American mind. Nobody cares anymore.
00:36:30.060
Those used to be national events to watch the Oscars 50 years ago. Nobody wants, nobody watches the
00:36:35.680
NBA. The only reason that exists is because of a $1.4 billion Chinese, a person Chinese market and the
00:36:43.780
endorsements and the money that flows in. And I think people are kind of retreating to a monastery
00:36:49.960
of their mind. They're, they're tuning out network news or network programming or the latest going to
00:36:56.440
the theater to see the latest Hollywood movie. And so they're starting to, and they're starting to
00:37:01.980
resist. And I think that's, that's very scary. And I think the military, when we hear general Milley
00:37:07.540
and general Austin, we're going after white rage and white supremacy, but they don't produce any data
00:37:12.680
that support those really, uh, inflammatory accusations. And then I, so I, I, when I heard that,
00:37:19.460
I thought, okay, general Austin says he wants proportional representation in the military
00:37:24.460
and, or else. And Milley said, we're going to go after all these supposed young white people that
00:37:29.780
are prone to supremacy. Let me look at the dead, the fatality statistics in Afghanistan and Iraq.
00:37:35.660
And I, and I, you look at them and they're 75% white males, not women, not minorities, white males
00:37:42.520
who have died in those two wars. And I'm thinking according to their own logic, then they would say,
00:37:47.460
well, we have to pull them out of combat because they've died disproportionately according to their
00:37:52.020
percentages. Is that, is that the kind of country we want? But that's what, that's the trajectory that
00:37:57.000
they're taking us to. And I think a lot of people are getting sick of it. It's, and it's just a
00:38:02.520
question. I think there's going to be a big pushback in the midterms. I hope I see these
00:38:07.660
Hispanic communities where I live in the central, central Valley that I think Mexican American males
00:38:13.900
voted 50% to recall Gavin Newsom, 43% of the Hispanic population. And then we see these border
00:38:21.420
communities where Republican or conservative city councilmen and mayors are being elected. So
00:38:26.840
something happened, I think good to the, one of the things I mentioned at the epilogue is that the
00:38:31.520
Republican party is starting to shed the caricature that it's a wealthy golfers, white,
00:38:38.460
blue stocking, um, you know, sort of a Mitt Romney party. It's more of a populist,
00:38:44.780
nationalist, middle-class party. Except it does, except for, uh, you know, the Mitch McConnell's of the
00:38:54.400
party that still seemed completely out of touch with the American people. And I want to,
00:39:00.800
I want to talk to you about that. And also some of your solutions, Victor Davis Hanson,
00:39:05.140
senior fellow Hoover institution. The name of the book is the dying citizen,
00:39:09.040
how progressive elites, tribalism, globalization are destroying the idea of America. So let me,
00:39:16.320
let me ask you about what happened yesterday with the GOP, because I have to tell you, I don't,
00:39:21.940
I don't see the GOP rallying around, um, our bill of rights or our constitution. And I see them
00:39:31.600
seemingly just sitting on their hands. And then last night, 11 of them decide, yeah,
00:39:44.760
Yeah. I think we're in a period of transition, but we've got an ossified leadership, especially in
00:39:51.740
the Senate. But what gives me some hope is that I don't see a national, maybe you do, because
00:39:58.820
I'm maybe too naive, but I don't see a national campaign run on the principles of the old Republican
00:40:06.440
party. And that's the start. What I mean is nobody's going to say anymore, as Jeb Bush did,
00:40:11.360
that, uh, illegal immigration is an act of love. And nobody's going to say that the more that you,
00:40:16.720
uh, concede to China and bring it into the global community and overlook, uh, cheating and, uh,
00:40:23.620
patent and, and copyright infringement, the more they're going to repay that magnanimity with
00:40:29.060
reciprocal magnanimity. I don't think anybody believes that anymore. I just don't think anybody
00:40:33.380
believes that you can write off the industrial heartland of America and say, well, the job's
00:40:38.240
left because these guys are all opeds, these clingers and drags and deplorable. I don't think
00:40:43.440
that's going to be. And that was pretty much, I think it was what John McCain, that was the
00:40:48.760
subtext of John McCain and Mitt Romney's campaigns. I mean, I voted for them, but I did it very
00:40:54.300
reluctantly. Wow. These are always the people that I never felt I had anything in common with.
00:41:00.560
But, but, so I think there's been a change there that at least
00:41:04.320
rhetorically that people in this next campaign will, will run on the Trump agenda. Now they may
00:41:11.720
tweak it or not be sincere about it, but I don't think anybody's saying we got to get back to the
00:41:16.640
principles of Mitch McConnell and what, maybe he did some good things with the outsmarted his rivals
00:41:22.360
on judicial appointments, but I don't think that he's, he and what he represents is what most people
00:41:28.440
aspire to. Now it's just a question of how much damage you do in a realistic, pragmatic, short-term
00:41:36.000
sense by getting rid of him versus who's going to report it and, and the interfraction squabbling
00:41:42.160
why the Democrats are imploding. So I think there's a lot of people who say, well, there'll come a time
00:41:47.380
for Mitch to step down, but right now do we want to have a big fight when these people are socialist
00:41:52.880
and they want to destroy us? And they seem to be destroying the country and themselves in the
00:41:58.000
process. The problem is, is we've been down this road with the Republicans before and they say a
00:42:04.240
good game. Well, we got to take care of this first. They don't ever mean it. They don't ever mean it.
00:42:09.880
No, they don't. That's why I'm not a Republican. I'm not a registered Republican just for that reason.
00:42:15.200
And I was, I was shocked though, that they really did do certain things under Trump that I didn't
00:42:21.760
think they would do. I didn't think they would actually rebuild that rickety wall and start to
00:42:26.300
rebuild some new air, build some new areas. I never thought they'd do that. I thought that was all
00:42:31.100
going to be rhetoric. And I never thought that, uh, that we would go into ANWR or say that we want
00:42:37.900
gas and oil on federal lands. I didn't, or deregulate. I never thought that.
00:42:42.920
I know. Well, that was really, I don't think that was a Republican. I think that was Donald
00:42:46.880
Trump. Most of it, uh, Victor Davis Hanson. Thank you so much for being a part of the program
00:42:52.180
today. Thanks for everything that you do. The, the author of the book, the dying citizen. Uh,
00:42:57.560
I believe it came out just this week, the dying citizen, how progressive elites, tribalism
00:43:01.820
and globalization are destroying the idea of America common sense. And you need to pick the book up.
