Transcript

00:00:00.000 Hey, today, a fantastic podcast with some newsmakers that I say this with a little bit of glee, make the left's head explode.
00:00:09.800 We start the podcast with Balazs Orban.
00:00:15.240 He is the the political director in Hungary for the prime minister who is setting everybody's hair on fire because he's at CPAC speaking what he believes the truth.
00:00:28.300 Now, I've not met him, so I had to ask some really tough questions, which makes too uncomfortable in today's podcast.
00:00:35.740 But I think we had a fascinating conversation.
00:00:39.640 Then stop the whining D.C. in New York about, oh, we've got 4000 migrants on our door.
00:00:45.260 We cover that. And we have Congresswoman Lauren Boebert.
00:00:50.060 She's on. She sets the record straight, goes the heads of all of those in the mainstream media.
00:01:00.280 All this and more on today's podcast brought to you by Relief Factor.
00:01:05.740 Relief Factor is something that Kent in Arkansas said he used to not be able to deal with the pain every time it would rain.
00:01:14.540 He said the pain was so bad he wanted just to crawl into bed and cry this time.
00:01:19.820 He said he stumbled on to Relief Factor because he listens to this program and he was close to despair.
00:01:25.460 He was skeptical, but he figured I don't have anything to lose within a few weeks, a few weeks.
00:01:30.100 Not even a rainy day could get him to crawl into bed anymore.
00:01:34.040 His pain was gone.
00:01:36.020 Please try this.
00:01:37.120 See if it will help you with your pain.
00:01:39.120 Three week quick start developed for you.
00:01:40.840 1995 Relief Factor dot com or call 1-800-4-RELIEF, 1-800-4-RELIEF or Relief Factor dot com.
00:01:49.560 Relief Factor. Feel the difference.
00:01:51.600 Here's a podcast.
00:01:58.940 You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck program.
00:02:03.060 Prime Minister Viktor Orban is coming to CPAC and the media has gone out of their mind.
00:02:12.520 They're framing it as 1930s Hitler comes to Dallas.
00:02:17.620 CPAC chair Matt Schlapp, he has responded to that, said, can we listen to the man speak?
00:02:22.640 And if people have a disagreement with something he says, then we should raise it and talk about it.
00:02:27.020 Well, that's what we're going to do today, because we live in historic times and no one can remain on the sidelines.
00:02:35.080 I don't trust the media to tell me the truth or what to think.
00:02:40.160 By the way, we shouldn't.
00:02:41.860 That is our job as humans and citizens to make our own decisions and come to our own conclusions.
00:02:49.780 So here's what we know about Prime Minister Orban.
00:02:53.580 We know that the leftists in Europe and America don't like him.
00:02:57.280 We know that the global left-leaning mainstream media doesn't like him.
00:03:01.380 We know that George Soros doesn't like him.
00:03:05.160 So far, I love him based on that.
00:03:08.300 Now, I'm going to admit that I don't know a lot about the prime minister.
00:03:12.060 I've obviously done my homework.
00:03:13.760 But like the American media, I will not pretend to be an expert on Hungarian politics or history.
00:03:22.900 So I will not lecture Hungary on being hungry as they don't try to tell us or judge who we are or what we do.
00:03:29.640 However, when it comes to human rights, we all must take a stand and never again turn a blind eye when there is warning signs.
00:03:38.940 We must never forget the Holocaust or the actions and words that led to it.
00:03:44.740 So let me be very clear on some of the facts.
00:03:47.340 Some of the things sound really interesting and correct if you're trying to preserve a nation.
00:03:53.640 But at times, especially recently, there have been things that the prime minister has said that seem very alarming.
00:04:01.920 So let's take these.
00:04:03.340 On the agree side, Prime Minister Orban has secured their border against the dictates of their own federal government, if you will, the EU.
00:04:12.760 They have made their immigration policies similar to how ours used to be.
00:04:18.440 He has also cracked down on sexually explicit education in classrooms.
00:04:22.580 He's put a strong emphasis on religion, family and advocated strongly for his country's social and cultural identity.
00:04:31.840 Now, on the alarming side, he has recently made statements that sounded way too close to Joseph Goebbels to go unanswered.
00:04:41.320 If he means if the translation is correct and he meant mixed races the way the early 20th century progressives and Margaret Sanger.
00:04:50.880 Oh, and Hitler meant them.
00:04:52.980 Then obviously, I cannot stand with a man.
00:04:55.880 Here's what he has said in the English translation.
00:04:59.100 One half of the world where European and non-European peoples live together, these countries are no longer nations.
00:05:07.280 They are nothing more than a conglaboration of peoples.
00:05:11.380 So far, so good.
00:05:12.480 As he differentiated between, quote, a world in which Europeans are mixed together and one in which migrants are, quote,
00:05:21.300 applying and flooding the West.
00:05:23.560 So far, so good.
00:05:25.240 From from the outside, they come.
00:05:28.080 He stressed, quote, this is why we have always fought.
00:05:32.220 We are willing to mix with one another, but we do not want to become peoples of mixed race.
00:05:38.960 Okay, that's problematic.
00:05:42.240 What did he mean?
00:05:43.680 The rhetoric like that is disturbing and very much the rhetoric we have heard coming out of Germany in the 1930s.
00:05:51.300 I have a very long record of warning of the old hatreds and rhetoric against the Jews that has come from both the European left and right.
00:06:01.400 Remember, both Russia, the communist, and Germany, the fascist, exterminated Jews, because both of those philosophies are rooted in Marxism.
00:06:11.840 Progressivism is also rooted in Marxism.
00:06:15.080 So is is Orban a Marxist?
00:06:18.180 Is he a progressive?
00:06:19.840 If so, I have my answer.
00:06:21.340 But even if not, in what context do we trust a man who's talking about mixed races, if that's what he meant?
00:06:29.400 It is vital to separate eugenics, superior races and replacement theory from cultural preservation.
00:06:38.720 Huge difference and no middle ground.
00:06:41.940 I'm against the first, but a strong supporter of the latter.
00:06:45.300 Where is Prime Minister Orban?
00:06:47.100 Now, one more thing.
00:06:49.280 The media says that he has, quote, presided over significant democratic backsliding over the last decade by consolidating control over Hungary's judiciary.
00:07:01.580 But it is my understanding that he has not asked for a study, nor has he suggested to pack the courts.
00:07:09.920 He has also, they say, consolidated control over the media.
00:07:13.860 Does the American media mean that he's like the Democrats here and has co-opted the media to do his bidding?
00:07:24.260 Or is it that he's in bed with social media to limit speech, speech and quash debate?
00:07:31.580 They also say that he has consolidated control over civil society.
00:07:36.140 Now, I imagine that means he's cracked down on George Soros.
00:07:39.900 Or is it that he has shaped what is taught in schools?
00:07:44.720 But has he, like President Biden's administration, called parents terrorists who disagree with him and disagree with what is taught and set the state police out to harass, intimidate and monitor those parents?
00:08:00.280 If he's done any of those things, I'm against him and the media should love him.
00:08:06.440 As a guest today, we have the political director of the prime minister and member of the Hungarian parliament, Boláj Orban.
00:08:18.080 He's here to explain what the government is really all about and what he meant.
00:08:23.820 It's not up to any member of the media to decide for you.
00:08:28.320 I think you should hear it from the horse's mouth and decide yourself.
00:08:32.120 But pay attention because words do have meaning.
00:08:36.440 We are honored to have the guest in today, the political scientist, member of the Hungarian parliament,
00:08:43.920 and the political director to the prime minister, Viktor Orban, in our studios in Dallas.
00:08:49.800 I'm sorry I'm not there myself to greet you.
00:08:52.580 His name is Boláj Orban, no relation to the prime minister.
00:08:58.600 You guys have taken an extraordinary stance against George Soros, which makes me one of your biggest fans just based on that alone.
00:09:13.660 Why is that?
00:09:16.560 George Soros is a very talented Hungarian man.
00:09:20.420 You have to know that, but the role he is playing in Western politics, I don't think it's a good role.
00:09:29.900 So, and probably here in the United States, he can also cause some troubles.
00:09:37.320 But in a small country like Hungary, he has influence and this is money.
00:09:43.360 It can be a game changer.
00:09:45.260 So, and he doesn't like to be democratically elected.
00:09:50.180 He just wants to influence things from behind the curtains.
00:09:55.100 So, there was one day in Hungarian history before 2010 when we had a left-wing liberal, you would call it progressive, government in Hungary.
00:10:04.840 Then George Soros spent more money in Hungary into culture and politics than the Hungarian state itself.
00:10:12.700 So, his influence is extremely huge.
00:10:15.700 He's supporting medias, NGOs, politicians, obviously all representing the radical left-wing progressive side.
00:10:25.100 So, unfortunately, we don't have independent opposition.
00:10:29.360 George Soros owns them.
00:10:30.560 Yeah, well, he's making a huge difference here in America and all throughout the West.
00:10:36.460 I can only imagine what a small country he could do.
00:10:39.720 So, he's not welcome, nor his NGOs or his money in Hungary.
00:10:45.360 Is that what you've done?
00:10:47.660 Obviously not welcome, but they are operating there.
00:10:53.040 He has more than 60.
00:10:54.360 Oh, they are.
00:10:54.740 They are operating there.
00:10:56.360 There was one issue with the pro-migration institutions, because after the migration wave, and as I was mentioning you, 400,000 people simply attacked the Hungarian southern borders.
00:11:11.320 And we established a fund that he financed all the migration aid and supportive NGOs.
00:11:20.400 And according to our understanding, it was a clear step against our own national interest and national security interests.
00:11:28.800 So, this is the field where we reacted in a very hard way, and we blocked the activity of those NGOs.
00:11:35.640 But he is still there.
00:11:38.260 He still has his candidates in politics as well.
00:11:44.320 And he is using his international organization team to put pressure on us.
00:11:51.500 That's an everyday issue for us.
00:11:55.880 Let me go to gay rights.
00:11:59.040 We have – I think America has gone off the deep end.
00:12:04.120 I think we are the furthest out into the deep waters on much of this cultural stuff.
00:12:10.900 And one of them is sexual identity.
00:12:14.240 There is no man.
00:12:15.220 There is no woman.
00:12:16.120 It's what you decide today, etc., etc.
00:12:18.060 And I know there was a referendum, and it passed overwhelmingly, to stop this in the Hungarian schools.
00:12:25.460 However, there is a difference between that craziness and people being allowed to live their own life.
00:12:35.600 You defined in the Constitution marriage – no, sorry, a family as a man and a woman and children.
00:12:47.320 Does that exclude everything else?
00:12:54.020 Yeah, no.
00:12:54.680 Can gays get married or not?
00:12:57.400 Not at all.
00:12:58.280 All the people are equal under God.
00:13:02.360 That's the Christian thought, what we also follow.
00:13:05.920 And all men can do whatever they want.
00:13:12.040 It's also about their sexual orientation.
00:13:17.500 So it's a free country in that sense.
00:13:19.340 They also have civil partnerships, so they can – you can call it a kind of a marriage, but what we call it civil partnership.
00:13:27.400 So it's available for them.
00:13:28.740 Meanwhile, it's not available in other countries.
00:13:31.340 But it's not about that.
00:13:32.660 It's about the children.
00:13:34.220 It's not about the gay people.
00:13:35.760 It's about the children.
00:13:36.640 It's about the gender propaganda, which, as in the United States, it started to affect the sexual orientation of minors, of kids in schools, in kindergartens, through some NGOs, through the media.
00:13:53.260 And we stood up last year, and we passed the law, and you can't imagine what a scandal emerged in the European Council.
00:14:04.920 All the other European leaders, they gone mad.
00:14:09.180 And actually, they blocked the funding, so the financial support which is coming to Hungary from Brussels because of that, which is actually ridiculous and totally unacceptable.
00:14:23.060 So we had no chance to turn toward our voters.
00:14:26.240 What do they say?
00:14:27.760 And as you said, it was one of the most successful referendums in the history of Hungary.
00:14:34.060 So 95% of the people said no to sexual – any kind of sexual orientation in schools, in kindergartens, through media, and gender reassignment, and so on and so on.
00:14:49.580 So they said – they sent a very clear sign that they don't want to follow that pattern, what we see.
00:14:56.920 I don't want to judge what is going on here in the United States, but we definitely don't want to follow that kind of pattern.
00:15:02.780 And if you want to stop it, you have to take action immediately.
00:15:07.380 That's what we've done.
00:15:08.400 That's why we are under pressure.
00:15:10.280 You kind of sound like a Hungarian version of Florida, from what I can see.
00:15:24.820 And as long as you're not scooping people up with different lifestyles or harassing them or pushing them out of society, then you would be.
00:15:37.960 Let me turn to Russia and Ukraine.
00:15:45.180 I am now reading things that seem to be leaking from the White House, that they're concerned about President Zelensky.
00:15:53.460 They're concerned that this isn't going well, and maybe they've made a mistake.
00:15:57.120 Some of us have felt that way for a long time.
00:16:00.980 You have felt that way, or your government has felt that way, that it was wrong, if I'm not mistaken, that it was wrong for Russia to go in, and they shouldn't have done that.
00:16:13.080 But we should be brokering for peace.
00:16:15.700 This is the Hungarian position.
00:16:20.620 At the very beginning, we called them Russian aggression.
00:16:24.780 Currently, we are hosting more than one million Ukrainians who passed our borders.
00:16:31.860 We are welcoming them.
00:16:32.940 Some of them are staying.
00:16:34.300 Some of them are going further.
00:16:36.560 But we're doing our job.
00:16:41.220 And we supported the sanctions, all the sanctions which were accepted by the Europeans, because unity was very important.
00:16:51.700 But from the very first moment, we said that our strategy, that the Ukrainians with the support of the Western countries with military equipments,
00:17:03.840 they will be able to stop the Russians, and the economic sanctions will be effective against Putin.
00:17:12.280 This is a miscalculation.
00:17:14.120 That's what we were representing from the very first moment.
00:17:17.240 And it seems that it turns out that we were right.
00:17:22.120 So unfortunately, the thing is that the Ukrainians, they fight in a very, very brave way, but they will all go away.
00:17:31.880 It's about manpower and compare Russian manpower to Ukrainian manpower.
00:17:36.840 It's about, unfortunately, about the numbers.
00:17:39.440 And there will be one point where the Russians will be doing the big through, and then the situation will be even worse for Ukrainians and for the whole Western world.
00:17:50.780 And the other part of the story is a sanctioning regime.
00:17:53.600 And the fact is that probably it was a good idea to stop energy export from Russia or try to stop energy export from Russia to Europe.
00:18:08.460 But they were able to find alternative models, and the prices are so much higher than they can earn their money, which is needed to finance the war machine.
00:18:21.100 That is the reality. I know that something else is coming through the liberal media, but this is the everyday reality, what we experience.
00:18:29.180 And I can see in Europe that countries are suffering, economies are collapsing, the inflation rate is skyrocketed.
00:18:37.100 And instable governments, like the government in the UK, like the government of Italy, like the government of Bulgaria, they already collapsed.
00:18:49.100 And, you know, we are in the middle of summer.
00:18:52.200 So what will happen during the wintertime?
00:18:55.420 A very tough time.
00:18:58.080 So what our recommendation is that we need strong Europe, we need strong America, we need strong American leadership and peace, immediate peace talks between America and Russia.
00:19:10.280 That should be done, and that should be the interest of the West as well.
00:19:13.880 So the media says that conservatives care about Hungary because we want to be fascist, which is the furthest from the truth.
00:19:26.680 What is it that you think captivates conservatives?
00:19:33.380 What do we have in common and what don't we have in common?
00:19:35.840 That's an elephant and mouse situation where relationship where we are, we are the mouse and the American conservatives are the elephant.
00:19:49.220 So, but, but I think what, what Hungary, what raw Hungary can play is that, that we have a clear cut conservative Christian government for like 12 years.
00:20:03.580 And the country didn't turn into a bad direction, just the opposite.
00:20:09.200 It went to a good direction.
00:20:11.000 Unemployment rate went down.
00:20:13.580 GDP growth is, it's, the numbers are very good.
00:20:18.660 The society is flourishing.
00:20:20.640 Number of marriages went up.
00:20:22.420 Number of divorces and abortions went down.
00:20:25.720 Fertility rate is up.
00:20:28.420 Safe, Hungarian cities are safe and sound.
00:20:32.500 We don't have drug problems and so on and so on.
00:20:36.300 So I think, I think.
00:20:37.640 And you don't, and you don't have gulags and secret police.
00:20:41.240 Sure, sure.
00:20:42.280 Without these things, we can, we could achieve that.
00:20:46.060 So I think it's a proof that if you stand up for your, for your values and, and you can formulate a stable government, which can exist for, for a longer period of time, then you can bring prosperity for your country.
00:21:01.140 So I hope the same for, for the great United States of America.
00:21:05.360 Thank you so much for being on with us.
00:21:09.540 And we look forward to talking to your prime minister in the, in the future.
00:21:15.240 Um, we appreciate you guys making this track out here.
00:21:19.800 And I hope that the American people will make up their own minds as they listen to the entire context and, and not just what the mainstream media cares to regurgitate.
00:21:30.720 I wish you well.
00:21:31.900 Thank you very much.
00:21:32.840 Thank you very much.
00:21:33.560 Mr.
00:21:33.720 Beck.
00:21:34.680 God bless Hungary.
00:21:36.140 All right.
00:21:36.600 Back in just a second.
00:21:37.640 Uh, oh boy.
00:21:41.940 Am I going to pay for that interview?
00:21:44.340 Oh my gosh.
00:21:45.220 Glenn Beck, the Nazi.
00:21:46.520 Of course he's with.
00:21:47.520 Oh geez.
00:21:52.760 You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck program.
00:21:55.480 So I think the first, my first encounter with Lauren Boebert was when, um, she came out.
00:22:16.700 If I remember, uh, with, uh, a Glock on her hip and she was telling democratic presidential candidate, Beto O'Rourke, uh, hell no, you're taking my guns.
00:22:27.540 No, you're not.
00:22:28.740 And, uh, I've loved her ever since Lauren Boebert.
00:22:32.800 How are you?
00:22:33.420 I am doing great.
00:22:34.400 Glenn, you know, that was a fun and sassy day.
00:22:36.760 I didn't really know what I was getting myself into.
00:22:38.660 It was just a pissed off mom and a gun owner.
00:22:41.780 And I heard the Democrat playbook just announced from a presidential debate stage and nobody was saying anything to this guy.
00:22:48.680 So drove three hours to his presidential rally with my Glock on my hip, looked him in the eye and told him, hell no, you're not taking our guns.
00:22:55.940 Look at us now.
00:22:57.940 Yeah.
00:22:58.440 Look at us now.
00:22:59.460 You are hated, uh, and, um, by a lot of people.
00:23:04.420 How, how does that feel as a person?
00:23:07.040 Well, I don't get my value from the media, from the left.
00:23:13.420 Uh, I, I, I know who created me and I get my value from my creator.
00:23:17.800 Uh, I'm not going to look to, uh, uh, some, some made up false thing to, to get my, my self-worth from.
00:23:24.180 So I, I don't really mind that they hate me.
00:23:26.220 And it also lets me know that I'm on the right track because they cannot stand the truth.
00:23:30.940 Uh, they hate virtue.
00:23:32.520 They hate anything that is good about America.
00:23:35.000 Uh, and so whenever they come after me, I'm like, all right, we're doing good.
00:23:40.600 Yeah.
00:23:41.060 But I mean, you know, you talk about virtue, but you had an abortion, uh, six months before
00:23:47.000 your child was born.
00:23:48.500 Yeah.
00:23:48.740 Oh, goodness.
00:23:49.820 Goodness.
00:23:50.820 I didn't know we were going to terminate another Ted Cruz baby today.
00:23:55.560 Yeah.
00:23:56.220 No, I mean, this is the stuff they, they cannot attack me personally enough because they always
00:24:01.720 stretch it too far.
00:24:03.280 And now they just completely make it up.
00:24:05.640 They completely fabricate it.
00:24:07.220 Um, there, there was these lies saying that there were two, uh, terminated pregnancies.
00:24:11.140 I was an escort, a stripper, an addict, all sorts of things.
00:24:15.800 And, you know, people get tired of it and they're like, you know, it really discredits
00:24:20.460 anything that they're trying to do because it's so out of touch.
00:24:23.400 Um, but that's all right.
00:24:25.360 We'll have my lawyers handle that one.
00:24:26.700 It amazes me that CNN, uh, talked to the guy who made those things up and he said, you
00:24:33.880 know, okay, so there were some inaccuracies.
00:24:36.420 I don't know.
00:24:37.460 Accusing a woman of having an abortion after being a stripper and a drug user and a prostitute
00:24:42.840 that might be a little more than just inaccurate.
00:24:46.560 Right.
00:24:46.700 Uh, and CNN has even said, um, they asked him to, are you going to apologize?
00:24:53.680 Has he apologized to you for that?
00:24:55.240 Oh, no, no, no, no, no.
00:24:55.800 He doubles down on a daily basis.
00:24:58.100 Uh, he stands by his claims, stands by his anonymous sources.
00:25:02.860 Uh, so no, this is, this is not something that he's backing down from.
00:25:06.700 And, uh, frankly, neither am I, uh, you know, and it's, it's interesting, you know, I have
00:25:11.320 four boys.
00:25:12.240 Um, I had, gosh, a stretch of nine years of pregnancies and toddlers and whatnot.
00:25:18.000 And, uh, they could have picked any date, um, to make up these terminations, uh, pregnancy
00:25:23.820 terminations.
00:25:24.520 And they picked two different dates where I was pregnant with children that I had right
00:25:29.340 smack in the middle of the pregnancies.
00:25:30.840 I'm like, that's the best you could do.
00:25:32.440 You couldn't get their birthdays.
00:25:34.260 Wikipedia, I don't know.
00:25:35.160 Wikipedia can't even get my birthday right.
00:25:36.860 But now, yeah.
00:25:38.260 And you know, CNN, while they said these are inaccuracies and he admittedly,
00:25:42.240 it to them, um, they still go on to say, um, these things are not proven instead of calling
00:25:49.020 them a lie, they just say they're not proven as if somebody could prove them.
00:25:53.740 Still taking that as a victory from CNN.
00:25:55.760 I can't even believe we got the article that we did from them, but, uh, but yeah, no, for
00:26:00.420 them to still go on with that and not say, no, this did not happen.
00:26:05.300 Um, they wouldn't do it.
00:26:06.520 So you have a new book out called my American life.
00:26:10.840 Yes.
00:26:11.580 And the, uh, as I gather, I'm sorry, I have not read it.
00:26:16.540 Um, but, uh, you are somebody who started out, you were working at McDonald's, you, you know,
00:26:24.420 weren't stripping or being a prostitute, but somehow or another, you made it.
00:26:28.620 Maybe I would have made more money, you know?
00:26:30.940 Yeah.
00:26:31.540 And we are, we're living in a, in a time now where everyone is being told they can't make
00:26:37.860 it.
00:26:37.980 They can't do it without a government handout.
00:26:41.080 What's the message of my American life?
00:26:44.000 Uh, so the, the message is you absolutely can, and you do not need the government's handouts
00:26:48.900 to, to get you through life.
00:26:50.800 Uh, in fact, it puts you in a cycle of poverty that traps you.
00:26:54.660 Um, I, I was raised in a Democrat household and I wanted to tell my story because the
00:27:00.160 fake news tries to tell my story for me and they get it so wrong all the time.
00:27:03.920 I said, I'll just tell my story myself.
00:27:05.580 Uh, but I was raised in a Democrat household.
00:27:07.780 Um, my mom, she moved us from Florida to, uh, a little, a little apartment in Aurora,
00:27:13.420 Colorado.
00:27:13.820 And the man that she moved in with, um, we soon found out that he was very abusive, uh, abused
00:27:19.600 her, uh, abused drugs and alcohol.
00:27:21.740 And, um, it left her looking for answers.
00:27:24.340 She went to Democrat politicians, um, for answers and they, they said, this is the way
00:27:30.760 that you are successful, that you could be successful, take care of your children.
00:27:34.700 And, uh, it was welfare.
00:27:37.160 Um, so I've stood in line for government cheese.
00:27:39.380 I've stood in line for bread and I've been in that cycle of poverty that is impossible
00:27:44.100 to get out of.
00:27:44.960 Cause every time mom wanted to try something else, they would say, no, no, no, you, you
00:27:48.620 can't do that.
00:27:49.220 You won't make it.
00:27:49.980 It won't be enough for your family.
00:27:51.320 And so at 11 years old, I knew that that was not America's best.
00:27:55.740 Uh, I started working at McDonald's at 15.
00:27:58.660 I'm so glad that, uh, there was a minimum wage low enough that they could invest in me
00:28:03.760 at 15 years old.
00:28:05.280 Correct.
00:28:05.860 They, they, I had no experience.
00:28:07.640 I had no work ethic and they were able to invest in me and teach me those qualities at
00:28:12.300 15 years old.
00:28:13.060 And I just remember getting that first paycheck from McDonald's and, uh, it was so great.
00:28:18.260 I learned two things.
00:28:19.420 Um, first of all, um, I didn't like this FICA guy that was taking all my money and I didn't
00:28:24.920 remember him stuffing fry boxes with me.
00:28:27.060 I couldn't recall him standing next to me, but somehow he got most of my money.
00:28:30.420 Uh, but also just the pride and empowerment of having put my hand to something and creating
00:28:35.920 wealth.
00:28:36.380 And so I began to become a self-taught conservative and I saw that these principles, um, truly
00:28:42.260 lead to a better life.
00:28:43.740 And I went on, uh, to marry my husband.
00:28:46.100 We have four boys.
00:28:47.080 I ministered to women at the Garfield County jail for several years and, uh, then opened
00:28:53.080 up businesses, opened up restaurants in Rifle, Colorado.
00:28:55.620 One of them being Shooter's Grill, um, that really took off nationally.
00:28:59.180 But, um, it was so great to bring these women from the jail who felt like their options
00:29:04.560 were expired and I was able to introduce these women to the God who turns their shame into
00:29:10.480 glory.
00:29:11.060 And then once they got out, say, it's not over, you can have a success, a successful
00:29:15.540 life.
00:29:15.900 And I was able to bring them into my home.
00:29:17.460 I was able to offer them jobs.
00:29:19.000 And this was so much more powerful than a government handout.
00:29:22.780 And I, I saw these women just, um, have a tremendous lives afterwards.
00:29:27.940 Um, so all of these values, um, have led up to this, you know, I have a passion for
00:29:31.960 justice, the constitution, our country, and I don't want my boys to be raised in a socialist
00:29:36.260 nation.
00:29:36.620 I don't want them to live in a socialist nation.
00:29:38.340 So I'm here to preserve America.
00:29:43.220 Well, they hate you on the left.
00:29:49.360 They absolutely despise you and you've been called every name, uh, under the, uh, under
00:29:56.340 the sun.
00:29:56.980 Right.
00:29:57.520 Um, let, let me, um, before I get into why is it that they hate you?
00:30:02.840 Uh, let's stick to your story here for, for, for just a second.
00:30:07.300 Sure.
00:30:07.960 Um, you, you volunteered your time.
00:30:11.420 You were not a politician at this time, volunteer your time.
00:30:16.200 Uh, and you then, uh, take these women who have just left prison and you hire some of them
00:30:23.000 and they go to work and do you stay in touch with any of them?
00:30:26.440 There are a couple that I have stayed in touch with.
00:30:28.780 Um, most of them have moved out.
00:30:30.060 Um, unfortunately we, we've seen some that, you know, got fallen back on hard times and,
00:30:35.140 and reverted, um, back to, to their old ways, but we have some great success stories too.
00:30:40.000 Um, many would, would come to church with me, um, and bring their families to church.
00:30:44.620 Eventually it was really a beautiful experience.
00:30:47.280 Uh, and so I've seen just so much joy.
00:30:49.280 I've seen them clean up their lives and, uh, and just have this complete restoration and
00:30:54.400 to be able to watch that process was amazing.
00:30:57.800 So, um, you're, um, uh, you're, you're doing all of these things.
00:31:03.060 Uh, and then what makes you want to get into politics?
00:31:07.300 Yeah.
00:31:07.620 Uh, well, I, I really was just tired of politicians saying one thing on the campaign trail and
00:31:14.860 then getting to whoever we send them and doing something different, whether it's the state
00:31:18.220 Capitol, Washington, DC, uh, or, or even our, our mayors, you know, they say one thing to
00:31:22.760 get elected.
00:31:23.320 They say they have these platforms and policies and, and then they do something completely
00:31:28.120 different and it let us down.
00:31:30.340 And not only that, I saw too many politicians giving away our freedoms.
00:31:35.680 Our freedoms don't come from politicians.
00:31:37.820 Our rights do not come from politicians.
00:31:40.840 They don't even come from the constitution.
00:31:42.440 They're guaranteed by the constitution, but these are our God given rights, our natural rights.
00:31:46.740 And so it's so frustrating when I see politicians, elected officials give away those rights.
00:31:53.160 I mean, we're battling that right now in Washington, DC with our second amendment rights.
00:31:56.740 We, two stinking Republicans passed Nancy Pelosi's AR 15 gun grab.
00:32:02.500 Two Republicans did that.
00:32:03.920 Democrats didn't do that.
00:32:05.120 They didn't have the votes for it.
00:32:06.120 They couldn't even pass a kidney stone.
00:32:07.840 Republicans passed that for her.
00:32:09.240 You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck program.
00:32:28.520 Lauren Bulbert is with us now.
00:32:30.960 She's going to be speaking on Saturday at CPAC in Dallas.
00:32:36.240 She's in for the day and then she flies back home and then she's back here on Saturday for the speech.
00:32:43.120 I'm going to be speaking right around the same time.
00:32:45.860 And President Trump is also speaking on Saturday.
00:32:51.100 Lauren, I have to ask you, and you may not want to answer this question.
00:32:56.180 Is Nancy Pelosi senile or just drunk all the time?
00:33:00.080 You know, you don't see her in person.
00:33:03.580 I promise you.
00:33:04.760 It is so much worse in person.
00:33:08.260 Really?
00:33:09.100 Yes.
00:33:09.580 And the house chambers, the temperature is kept very low.
00:33:14.520 It's very cold in the house chambers.
00:33:16.300 And I figured it out.
00:33:18.200 It's to preserve Nancy.
00:33:20.960 I believe it saves her a lot.
00:33:23.380 It's like a Walt Disney thing.
00:33:24.400 Yes, I believe it's to save on a lot of the cosmetic features and, you know, we're saving her on the Botox cost.
00:33:31.000 But also, it's very important that the temperature is just right in the house chambers because if it gets too warm, her eyebrows will begin to melt.
00:33:38.920 And then we can't see how high inflation really is.
00:33:41.720 So, I really want to know, is she senile or is there something else going on?
00:33:49.380 Because she's really not clear.
00:33:51.720 She makes a point to say on a regular basis that she does not drink, which tells me she's probably drunk.
00:34:04.520 Well, that's the way they do it in the Democratic Party.
00:34:08.520 That's right.
00:34:08.960 Look, they're a fascist when they're the fascist.
00:34:13.660 Talk to me a little bit about ESG and The Great Reset.
00:34:16.500 What do you know about it?
00:34:18.040 So, I want to know a lot more about this.
00:34:21.300 I have read your book, The Great Reset.
00:34:23.680 I've read it once.
00:34:24.760 I've listened to it twice.
00:34:26.200 Great audio book.
00:34:28.220 And so, I have a lot of playing time.
00:34:30.980 And I want to understand this so much more.
00:34:33.300 I want to partner with you on this.
00:34:35.140 This is scary stuff.
00:34:36.100 And they put it right out there, right out in the open.
00:34:39.560 The World Economic Forum.
00:34:41.220 And they're just candidly, here's what we're doing, guys.
00:34:43.860 What are you going to do about it?
00:34:44.820 And, you know, modern monetary theory.
00:34:48.360 And I see this happening in Congress on a regular basis.
00:34:52.660 They just spend money.
00:34:53.880 Spend it, spend it, spend it.
00:34:55.120 More and more debt.
00:34:56.200 And they believe that this is the answer.
00:34:58.380 You know, climate change.
00:34:59.700 That this is the existential threat to the world.
00:35:04.640 You know, these ESG ratings that, you know, we're not going to be able to get anything without that.
00:35:12.060 Aren't you being rated with your ESG and how environmentally friendly you are?
00:35:17.480 And, you know, I mean, they're not wanting to give.
00:35:20.380 Go ahead.
00:35:21.020 Yeah.
00:35:21.220 No, I was going to say, I'm currently at my ranch, which is because I'm way up in the mountains.
00:35:28.260 It's completely off the grid.
00:35:30.320 So I have to use solar and everything.
00:35:32.340 But because of that, I know solar power, wind power, it is not ready for prime time.
00:35:39.840 No.
00:35:39.940 Yesterday, we had to fire up the generators, what, by 8 o'clock in the morning?
00:35:45.280 Because we already were using so much juice that I couldn't go on the air with the power that we had.
00:35:54.620 I mean, it is not ready for prime time.
00:35:57.300 And we are dumping all of our security for this pipe dream of zero emissions.
00:36:04.040 Yes.
00:36:04.540 You know, so I serve on the Natural Resources Committee, and this was a priority for me coming to Congress.
00:36:09.000 I represent western Colorado, southern Colorado.
00:36:12.700 We have some of the richest resources in the world right there under our feet.
00:36:16.280 But politicians are regulating our communities into poverty, forcing us to keep it in the ground.
00:36:21.640 Our forests, they want to lock those lands up so we can't extract any of these resources and utilize them.
00:36:29.460 But it is so important right now to be energy independent.
00:36:35.060 We have to get back to that.
00:36:36.280 I fight these guys on a regular basis in the Natural Resources Committee.
00:36:40.940 They want to outsource our energy development to our adversaries.
00:36:45.020 They claim this moral high ground, and they're really just not-in-my-backyard extremists.
00:36:49.760 I've seen the billionaires in New York who say, you know, well, sure, I vote for the wind turbines, but they're going to put one right next to my house across the street.
00:37:00.140 Can't they put it down farther?
00:37:02.440 They don't want to see that.
00:37:03.400 They don't want to be impacted by that.
00:37:04.380 But also here in the committee, they're fine with having 40,000 children mined with their bare hand for cobalt in the Congo, owned by China.
00:37:13.640 And then that cobalt, those rare earth minerals, they go to China, and we buy solar panels from them and somehow feel good and virtuous about ourselves.
00:37:22.640 Get to pat ourselves on the back.
00:37:23.640 Look how green we are.
00:37:24.720 So it's really disgusting fighting this, but also it's so deceptive.
00:37:31.100 Look, you're using generators right now.
00:37:32.960 You are off the grid and having to use generators for your energy.
00:37:36.740 These electric vehicles, how many of them have we seen, you know, hooked up to a generator?
00:37:42.860 And I don't know if you know this, Glenn, but I'll let you in on a little secret.
00:37:47.820 The electric vehicles, they don't even have gas pedals.
00:37:51.960 They have coal-fired energy pedals.
00:37:57.280 They do.
00:37:58.900 You said earlier this summer that the church is supposed to direct the government, and everybody labeled you as a white Christian nationalist.
00:38:12.640 First, I have to ask, are you a white Christian nationalist?
00:38:16.020 Well, Adam Kinzinger says I'm a Christian Taliban, so I don't know.
00:38:20.580 We'll take our pick.
00:38:21.220 No, no, no.
00:38:22.500 So this is so funny.
00:38:26.480 The church is supposed to influence the government, and the Democrats want to flip this and make it something that it's totally not.
00:38:34.320 They want to say that I'm for theocracy.
00:38:36.240 I'm not for theocracy.
00:38:37.320 We have a great constitutional republic, and I'm here to defend that.
00:38:40.140 But the church needs to get involved, because if we stay silent, we lose by default.
00:38:45.220 I believe it was John Adams.
00:38:46.560 But it's not the government that influences – sorry, it's not the religion or the church that influences government.
00:38:55.080 It influences us, hopefully, to do the right thing, and then we influence the government.
00:39:02.340 Correct.
00:39:02.720 Well, when I say the church, I'm talking about the people.
00:39:04.960 So when I get up in a church, I say, good morning, church.
00:39:08.060 I'm not talking about the building.
00:39:09.420 I'm not talking about how they file.
00:39:10.700 The church is the people, and that's not just four walls.
00:39:15.620 Good for you.
00:39:16.420 So I guess I can expound on that a little bit.
00:39:20.980 But John Adams, he said that this country was made for a moral and religious people, for Christians.
00:39:28.540 And I'm so glad that we have the freedom of religion, and people can express their religious beliefs.
00:39:34.280 If they're Christian or if they're not, it doesn't matter.
00:39:36.720 We have that freedom here.
00:39:37.780 We don't have – they fled a state church.
00:39:42.860 They didn't want that.
00:39:44.620 They didn't want the government determining religion.
00:39:48.820 But we absolutely have a part to play, and we cannot remain silent.
00:39:53.040 We have to be involved.
00:39:53.960 We have to speak up.
00:39:54.900 We have to be loud and be in front.
00:39:57.600 You know, they want to make this about my religion personally.
00:40:01.620 They want to attack my religion personally.
00:40:03.920 They want to attack Christianity and single that out.
00:40:08.120 Look at the Supreme Court victory that we just had with the coach who's praying on the field.
00:40:14.600 They want to single him out.
00:40:16.180 They want to cancel him.
00:40:17.540 But the Supreme Court said, no, you have your religious liberties, and you can go ahead and pray in school.
00:40:21.820 Well, they fail to recognize that they themselves – wokeness is a religion.
00:40:29.160 Correct.
00:40:29.920 It has all of the markings of a religion.
00:40:33.520 You can't argue with it.
00:40:35.160 You can't deviate from it.
00:40:40.000 There are high priests that can destroy you and call you a heretic.
00:40:44.220 Yes.
00:40:44.560 You know, it either has redemption or no redemption.
00:40:48.800 I mean, it is a religion.
00:40:50.820 Yes, absolutely.
00:40:52.020 Well, and to the left, government is God.
00:40:56.220 You know, so they don't believe that there is a higher deity than government, and that's why they want this totalitarian rule.
00:41:03.260 You know, I just think it's awful that a pastor, a father, a priest, whatever you may be, a deacon, could stand up and not be able to talk to his congregation about politics, about government.
00:41:19.280 And the left wants to completely end that conversation.
00:41:22.940 But yet, those politicians can go to that church and shut them down.
00:41:26.760 They shut down our churches.
00:41:28.260 That is our First Amendment right.
00:41:29.760 We not only have the freedom of religion, we have the freedom to assemble, and they shut down our churches.
00:41:35.500 And now, those pastors are not allowed to say anything about the politicians that shut them down.
00:41:42.160 Correct.
00:41:42.760 Because of separation of church and state.
00:41:45.580 Right, which is a misunderstanding.
00:41:47.340 It is a misunderstanding.
00:41:48.040 And by the way, all those politicians will go to lefty churches and speak about politics there.
00:41:54.820 Absolutely.
00:41:55.460 And that's not the government's fault.
00:41:56.740 That is the church's fault for being afraid to speak out.
00:42:02.120 They're afraid.
00:42:02.820 They think that they will, you know, lose their 501c3 or whatever, and that's not true.
00:42:10.460 Right.
00:42:10.620 It's not true.
00:42:12.120 They have a right to do that.
00:42:13.520 Yes, yes.
00:42:14.260 And should.
00:42:15.140 Right.
00:42:15.380 So, let me ask just this last question.
00:42:22.540 Is it better, worse, or about what you thought going to Washington and working in Washington?
00:42:32.960 All of that.
00:42:35.020 It is what I thought, because it's very difficult, it's very partisan, unless, you know, we have a couple of rhinos passing stuff for Nancy Pelosi.
00:42:44.080 It's worse, because I didn't fully understand the self-governing majority rule of the body, and that Nancy Pelosi can literally make up whatever rules she wants.
00:42:56.760 She could put up magnetometers for the members to go through, fine you $5,000 for not wearing a mask.
00:43:02.180 I've been fined because I wasn't wearing a mask in the house, not doing it.
00:43:05.300 You know, all of these rules that she can do, that's really bad.
00:43:10.420 It's really bad that we can't have debate in regular order and actually add amendments to bills and actually have committees where legislation goes through the committee of jurisdiction before it goes on the floor.
00:43:24.120 Nancy Pelosi will just pull a bill out and send it to the floor without it going through committee, and it's very frustrating.
00:43:30.140 But it's also better, because there are more members of Congress there that are there for the right reasons.
00:43:38.360 They are principled.
00:43:39.660 They are here for our country, for our people.
00:43:41.780 They love people, and they're there to do the right things.
00:43:44.040 I thought I was going to find maybe four of them, and there are quite a few more than that.
00:43:48.660 And that is something that is very inspiring to me.
00:43:51.340 These are the people that I like to spend my time with.
00:43:53.420 I don't like to spend my time with the lobbyists on K Street.
00:43:55.940 I want to be around virtuous people, righteous people who care about our country and want to get this back on the right track, want to tackle inflation, want to secure our southern border, want to take care of these gas prices, and so much more.
00:44:11.580 And so these are the people that I spend my time with, and that makes it so much better than I thought it was.
00:44:16.640 And then just seeing the hope that people in America have.
00:44:20.500 I have the privilege of traveling all across America, trying to get more conservatives like me elected to serve with me.
00:44:27.420 I travel my district very, very heavily, and seeing the hope that people have that we will turn this around.
00:44:34.560 And I know that there's hope, Glenn.
00:44:35.780 I would not leave my four boys and my husband every day to do what I'm doing if I didn't think that we could fix this.
00:44:43.040 Excellent.
00:44:43.820 Thank you so much, Lauren.
00:44:44.920 Thanks, Glenn.
00:44:45.300 Thank you for your service.
00:44:46.640 Na na na na na na.
