00:00:00.000 welcome to the podcast today packed show we have a lot going on obviously there's so much going on
00:00:04.940 in the world we go through all the stuff the latest breaking stuff in afghanistan uh we have
00:00:10.060 bill o'reilly on for his hour and you get his take on afghanistan as well we have one of the
00:00:15.520 two congressmen that went to afghanistan just a couple of days ago there was sort of a controversy
00:00:20.880 around that we'll talk to him uh and glenn beck is trending on twitter we get into why uh always a
00:00:28.040 good sign when you're trending on twitter only good things come out of that blaze tv.com slash

00:00:46.940 and subscribe to the podcast uh and give us a five-star review we'd really appreciate that
00:00:52.200 for this podcast and studios america five stars is the appropriate number of stars here's the podcast
00:00:58.040 you're listening to the best of the glenn beck program
00:01:07.340 from the middle east um where we have been trying all week to get um christians out of uh kabul
00:01:21.120 uh i can't give you an update today things have been so chaotic since last night last word we had
00:01:28.320 5100 uh christians and refugees out we're trying now we're in another phase kind of looking for a land
00:01:35.960 bridge um but uh there are other people that are trapped at the airport uh not on the tarmac um i think
00:01:45.420 we have cleared all those we have repositioned um the airplanes that um have been working for the nazarene
00:01:52.720 fund uh and i have to tell you the the teamwork on the ground uh is absolutely phenomenal it is i want
00:02:01.780 to make it really really clear that it is not just us uh that is is doing all of this by any stretch of
00:02:10.600 the imagination we are working with so many different uh groups and i will talk about that
00:02:16.240 a little later on and how you can help um but i i first i just want a super shout out to president
00:02:25.280 joe biden who is the worst president and he may in my you know if you've listened to this program
00:02:35.400 i hate woodrow wilson hate him uh with all the intensity of a white hot sun maybe as pat would
00:02:47.740 say a thousand white hot suns i think that joe biden may surpass him as the worst president of all
00:02:57.140 time uh last night in the speech i just i want to go over a i don't know just a couple of things
00:03:03.660 first let's start with his message to isis k to those who carried out this attack
00:03:10.740 as well as anyone who wishes america harm know this we will not forgive we will not forget
00:03:22.160 we will hunt you down and make you pay okay all right okay stop stop stop i i just i have a couple
00:03:32.700 of questions um we'll never forgive great christian message there for you um but he wants to talk
00:03:40.040 about isis k isis k not the taliban because of course the taliban they're helping us and their big
00:03:49.300 enemy is you know uh isis k it's like special k but it doesn't come in a box wish it did if i were
00:03:57.840 president all of them would be coming in a box but isis k is against the taliban and the taliban
00:04:06.420 has been protecting us bull freaking crap that is not true you are going to hear this bull crap that
00:04:17.460 isis is uh is against the taliban and the taliban is so nice and they're just trying to protect us and
00:04:24.040 they're guarding the gate that's bull crap all of that is pr bull crap these guys do hate each other
00:04:31.800 but have you heard an idea in the middle east called the enemy of my enemy is my friend they'll
00:04:41.440 try to blow each other up very soon but first they want to kill and humiliate us so
00:04:50.360 don't even start with this was isis k because you don't know who it who it was and by the way let's
00:04:58.700 say it was there were three ice i'm sorry there were three taliban checkpoints before you got to the
00:05:06.800 main gate where our checkpoint was is the taliban they're so super good they're so reliable and so
00:05:15.420 good and so able to beat us but they couldn't recognize suicide bombs when they saw them through
00:05:22.540 three separate checkpoints now the last point on this one we're gonna hunt you down and we're gonna
00:05:31.260 make you pay well maybe that's true after we ship them probably a billion dollars on the airport and
00:05:38.420 just leave it there like we did with uh iran but how are we going to hunt them down joe how are we
00:05:46.560 gonna do that and and this is kind of an interesting one because people are oh just bomb them we'll just
00:05:53.200 have a drone up in the sky and we'll just drone them to death will we well first of all let's just
00:06:01.740 remind you that they now have more black hawks the taliban has more black hawks than 85 percent of the
00:06:11.760 world don't worry about it they're cave dwellers with black hawks now the second thing um usually you
00:06:22.800 need some sort of an intelligence network to be able to find out on the ground who did it unless
00:06:31.800 we're just gonna take the taliban's word for it because i know they're so trustworthy we have no
00:06:41.200 connections on the ground if we did none of them trust us anymore none of them would ever work with us
00:06:49.000 we probably actually made people want to help the taliban and blow us up the way we have betrayed
00:06:57.120 them there won't be a middle eastern contact for as far as the eye can see so what intelligence network
00:07:05.520 are you gonna use joe to find out who did that and where they are this guy is a moron a moron
00:07:16.760 when a guy like me can figure this out you are a special kind of moron uh now let's go to uh cut to
00:07:26.980 the military recommended something did you personally reject a recommendation to hold
00:07:36.640 or to recapture background air force base here's what i've done on the let's ask this answer the last
00:07:44.420 question first on the tactical questions of how to conduct an evacuation or a war i gather up
00:07:54.000 all the major military personnel that are in afghanistan the commanders as well as the pentagon
00:08:01.700 and i asked for their best military judgment what would be the most efficient way to accomplish the
00:08:12.100 mission they concluded the military the bagram was not much value added that it was much wiser
00:08:22.720 really on kabul wow and so i followed that recommendation stop he remember he takes full
00:08:31.560 responsibility but he asked the pentagon how do we do it he said earlier in the speech i asked them
00:08:40.460 three times today if they needed something and they said no oh well that's taking full responsibility
00:08:48.180 for it i take full responsibility i asked them and they said they didn't need my help at all they
00:08:54.920 didn't want anything else uh-huh did does that include them saying this is a colossally bad idea we
00:09:03.020 shouldn't do it mr president and then you saying no but we're going to do it anyway okay what's it gonna
00:09:12.640 take well i don't know because this is gonna be a disaster but the good thing is we have a huge air base
00:09:21.820 there in the country that we could use for air support no no no instead the the pentagon said
00:09:33.240 what's uh what do you say we get rid of the air base uh let's get there's no use for an air base here
00:09:39.860 there's no strategic value for this air base uh that's why when we uh when we first started the war
00:09:46.980 we we built that gigantic air base because there was no strategic use for it at all
00:09:52.980 when will the pentagon stand up and say that's bull crap now maybe maybe the people running the
00:10:03.720 pentagon are that stupid but the military's certainly not let me ask a marine friend of mine
00:10:12.160 uh jason buttrill who is here with me in the middle east because all of us watching last night
00:10:19.340 almost burst a blood vessel when we saw him say certain things your thoughts jason on the president
00:10:28.520 uh just heeding the advice of the generals and the pentagon and saying yeah there's no strategic use
00:10:37.140 for us to have that air base well for one i thought that he was just following trump's plan
00:10:42.680 so i thought all these plans were already drawn up by the trump people so why are they even disgusting
00:10:47.200 altering it in the first place um that that's for one you know so this is a total shock to me uh for
00:10:53.600 for that uh two there's no way there's absolutely no way the military would have said hey let's just
00:11:00.780 abandon bongram air base before we finish the the full evacuation why would you why would anyone in
00:11:06.620 their right mind do that you don't take assets off the table you just just to cover your own ass
00:11:14.340 you're like no no no let's just leave that alone we'll take those guys out last just to cover your
00:11:20.000 own ass you do that right and just just for like geographical reference bagram air base is right above
00:11:25.420 kabul so it's in with it's within striking distance of kabul so uh if you are going to let's say ferry troops
00:11:32.600 back and forth if you need to put troops let's say by some wild you know stretch the imagination
00:11:38.120 that you botched the uh withdrawal and you know the taliban rolled into kabul last minute and no one
00:11:45.440 thought that oh that did happen okay well then no worries because you have bagram air base there
00:11:49.900 because you then you can pull in additional assets to secure the area um but oh they abandoned
00:11:56.240 bagram air base so none of this from a military strategic you know perspective makes any sense
00:12:03.120 whatsoever what so what does that tell you it was all political so politics has been driving this
00:12:08.760 evacuation from day one you know in in a situation like this in a military situation like this the
00:12:14.760 situation drives your timeline now the biden administration has been doing it exactly the
00:12:20.420 opposite way the timeline has been driving the situation which makes no sense whatsoever they're
00:12:26.620 looking at their timeline to say oh we're going to make our decisions based off of this this isn't this
00:12:30.600 no in any other military uh situation period you're looking at the situation and you're adjusting
00:12:36.400 your timeline off of that none of this makes sense whatsoever you know you want to see somebody that
00:12:41.740 was honorable uh on taking responsibility that would be eisenhower and quite honestly george w bush
00:12:48.040 george w bush took the heat i was in his office when he he called me and actually he didn't but his
00:12:57.540 people called me um i said you want something to impeach this president over we were talking about the
00:13:03.960 border this this is where you find something impeachable of this president and uh that night driving
00:13:10.960 home uh from cnn um i'll never forget i'm driving i pick up the cell phone it's a 212 number
00:13:18.040 and uh or 202 number and they say um i pick it up mr beck the president would like to see you in
00:13:25.420 the oval on thursday and at 11 o'clock and i didn't know what to do i was just like uh okay let me check
00:13:33.640 and i just held the phone out away from my face like what the hell okay i'm good uh and so i went and
00:13:41.600 um he was a different person than you saw on television he knew the names of everybody who had
00:13:48.000 been killed or injured that he had personally called that morning and it was around 11 o'clock
00:13:53.940 11 30 when he told the story and he was crystal clear on the name he he said the names of the people
00:13:59.920 he called um and he he talked about assets that we had in the war blah blah blah blah blah blah and
00:14:07.680 i said to him no offense mr president but this is the guy that we need to see on television and he
00:14:15.120 said you can't blah blah blah blah blah but the the point of this story is that he said to me it's it's
00:14:22.980 my decision i told the military you have whatever you want we're not going to do this vietnam style
00:14:31.260 so i will take the heat and and they said to me fine just please don't make the dead the death toll
00:14:41.900 numbers coming from the white house all the time because that's what killed us last time and he said
00:14:48.580 fine i won't and he said there are so many times that i want to tell the american people good news
00:14:54.440 but i can't and i know i'm gonna look bad maybe for the next 50 years but i'm gonna take the
00:15:01.700 responsibility because i made that promise that's taking responsibility this guy is no i i told him
00:15:10.360 what i wanted to do and then they did it and look how it's turning out which by the way in the same
00:15:16.880 breath i'm gonna say is fantastic and uh i should be praised for how it's being how it's turned or turned
00:15:23.920 out it's just the military donald trump and anybody else's fault not mine back in just a minute
00:15:29.160 stew can you verify for me that all of the questions were submitted in advance last night
00:15:37.160 i've heard that i don't have it confirmed but i have yeah i've heard that too and i'd like that
00:15:42.820 confirmed if we can i've heard that they were all um as questions were submitted in advance and you
00:15:49.380 know when he got up and he said okay i've been told i've got to start with mr president i don't
00:15:57.660 know if all the presidents are told you know hey you might want to start with this you have to stop
00:16:03.060 saying that because you look like a an absolute puppet of somebody stop saying that or here's an idea
00:16:13.700 don't do it be your own man pull up your big boy pants when he spoke to peter doocy
00:16:21.600 it was the most incredible unpresidential thing i've ever seen here's the question
00:16:27.920 hey let me take the one question from the most interesting guy that i know in the press
00:16:32.580 that's you mr president there had not been a u.s service member killed in combat in afghanistan
00:16:42.520 since february of 2020 you set a deadline you pulled troops out you sent troops back in
00:16:48.940 and now 12 marines are dead you said the buck stops with you do you bear any responsibility
00:16:55.800 for the way that things have unfolded in the last two weeks now listen i bear responsibility for
00:17:01.360 fundamentally all that's happened of late but here's the deal you know here's the deal i wish you
00:17:08.900 one day say these things you know as well as i do that the former president made a deal with the
00:17:16.940 taliban that he would get all american forces out of afghanistan by may one in return the commitment
00:17:26.940 was made and that was a year before in return he was given a commitment that the taliban would
00:17:34.020 continue to attack others but would not attack any american forces remember that i'm being serious
00:17:43.240 no i i'm asking you a question because before no no no wait a minute i'm asking you a question
00:17:50.260 is that is that accurate the best here or not what now he puts his face down into his hands
00:17:59.580 and like defeated which is a thing for him i think they have an issue that people are like to get hurt
00:18:11.280 some as we've seen we've gotten killed and that it is messy the reason why whether my friend will
00:18:21.360 acknowledge it always reported it the reason why there were no attacks on americans as you said
00:18:27.200 from the date until i came into office was because the commitment was made by president trump
00:18:36.320 i will be out by may 1st in the meantime so how does that make any sense at all then why did they
00:18:43.840 start attacking us now wait then why didn't you just do what president trump was doing why did they
00:18:51.520 start why did we have the third deadliest day of a 20-year war yesterday doesn't make any sense
00:19:01.120 but he's all jello and oatmeal in the head the best of the glenbeck program
00:19:12.720 this is the glenbeck program with bill o'reilly you can catch the no spin uh news
00:19:30.600 every day with bill o'reilly at billoreilly.com i urge you to subscribe um i urge you to subscribe
00:19:37.500 to anyone that you are listening to that you trust we all need to work together and we all need
00:19:45.340 support or they'll pick us off one by one bill o'reilly is joining us i want to play two pieces
00:19:50.480 of audio from the speech last night the first one really doesn't need a comment um but this proves
00:19:58.160 bill o'reilly right when he says he's not even there enough to understand listen to this if
00:20:05.800 osama bin laden as well as al-qaeda had chosen to launch an attack when they left saudi arabia out of
00:20:17.560 yemen would we have ever gone to afghanistan even though the taliban completely controlled afghanistan
00:20:28.940 at the time would we have ever gone i know it's not fair to ask you questions it's rhetorical but
00:20:35.740 raise your hand if you think we should have gone
00:20:37.740 i know it's not fair to ask you and it's rhetorical but raise your hand uh first of all
00:20:48.320 you can't re-litigate the past and that's all that the progressives seem to do here's my question
00:20:54.220 for bill o'reilly bill he says this almost every time and i know that the president is given a list
00:21:01.440 but i have heard from last night and i'd like confirmation on this that all of the questions
00:21:07.680 were submitted prior to in writing um can you tell me is this just a bad habit or is there more to
00:21:15.520 when bill when uh joe biden says things like this ladies and gentlemen i gave me a list here
00:21:23.260 the first person i was instructed to call on was kelly o'donnell of nbc
00:21:29.680 bill uh the biden administration always asks for the questions in advance
00:21:37.220 i don't know the compliance level of that i give biden credit for giving fox news a question yesterday
00:21:45.240 um you know i'm sure they did that to forestall any criticism that he wasn't gonna take any tough
00:21:53.180 questions but it doesn't really matter anymore beck does it the white house press corps doesn't matter
00:21:58.920 anymore corporate media doesn't really matter and i was happy to see you um tout that if people are
00:22:05.600 listening to us now you're really being deceived by the corporate media and if you're still going to
00:22:11.100 um consume it then that's on you because they're not going to tell you the truth um beck i'm we got
00:22:19.820 you booked on the no spin news on monday i don't know whether you'll be back or not you know we want
00:22:23.720 you to be safe first of all but if you are back we're going to talk about the nazarene fund and what
00:22:27.960 why you did what you did uh and then we'll get into afghanistan of course and be and i'll be um
00:22:33.960 it'll be a large part of the no spin news on monday but i'll tell you the corporate media would
00:22:39.160 never put glenn back on the air and that includes fox news okay well i was on with i was i was on with
00:22:46.300 talk uh tucker carlson last night but i think that's more of a personal thing i'm never invited
00:22:51.320 anywhere else uh on five rights let me ask you i'm glad i'm glad you were i missed it um yeah but
00:22:57.020 i'm glad you were but my point of the matter is that they don't they being the corporate media
00:23:02.320 and extends throughout all you see on television they're not interested in the truth anymore they're
00:23:07.300 not interested in it so now the dilemma that they have and why how americans are being deceived once
00:23:12.680 again so all of these people all of them every single one with the exception of fnc endorse biden
00:23:20.620 and did more than endorse them they lied about trump they lied about uh january 6th they lied about
00:23:29.300 russian collusion they lied about ukraine they lied and lied and lied and lied and lied and lied and now
00:23:35.380 they're stuck with the guy that they put up as the champion to bring america back build back better
00:23:43.780 okay and and this guy obviously is screwing things up to the extent that people are dying
00:23:50.260 okay so so when trump was president nobody was dying but now biden's president and people are dying
00:24:00.420 all over the place and so go ahead bill i want to ask you this go back to january and um you won the
00:24:11.220 presidency how would you have handled the afghan situation with the deal that trump had in place
00:24:20.280 what would you have done excellent question excellent question um and i talked to trump about this um and
00:24:27.300 that's going to be one of the highlights of the o'reilly trump history tour which is uh underway in
00:24:33.120 december one everybody check that out on below riley.com because we're going to get answers to
00:24:37.880 questions and nobody has even asked donald trump but when you uh take over a uh the country with
00:24:45.760 biden did in january you have to bring fresh eyes to everything that's number one so it doesn't really
00:24:52.760 matter what your predecessor did but the second that biden got in because the progressives hated trump so
00:25:00.600 much he issued seventeen one seven executive orders overturning trump stuff the second he got in
00:25:07.180 okay and most of those executive orders have been disastrous that border is the best example but at the
00:25:14.240 pipeline shutdown all of that just follows so in afghanistan you have a situation where um the united
00:25:23.420 states went in there to get al-qaeda to destroy al-qaeda which it did we did we destroyed it and i'll remind
00:25:33.400 everybody once again that the only cabinet member that was against the bin laden raid in pakistan was
00:25:41.580 joe biden the only one okay so then we decided foolishly to try to take on a medieval society steeped in
00:25:53.280 sharia law and turn it into california okay that's pretty much what we said we're going to do this
00:26:01.500 they'll all be uh listening to the beach boys when we get through with them okay it was foolish
00:26:07.120 and everybody has pointed out history has never changed and the country will never change it is a
00:26:12.920 tribal nation that is fundamentally islamic and they're not going to change no matter what you do
00:26:19.440 no matter how much you give them the majority of people like being fundamentalists and like living
00:26:25.880 in the middle ages that's the truth so we spent all this money a trillion dollars over 20 year period
00:26:32.360 to try to do that didn't work we had to get out trump was enraged because he goes why are we spending
00:26:38.320 all this money we're getting nothing out of it and that's how trump thinks he's a business guy
00:26:42.380 so he but what trump did with the taliban is just what i told you before the break he said if you
00:26:48.480 screw around with us while we're trying to get out of there we're going to kill you you okay so the
00:26:57.220 taliban go oh i really don't want to die tomorrow and when i say kill you drones are what is used to
00:27:05.200 wipe these people off the face of the earth and that's what i said all biden had to do was tell the
00:27:11.100 20 taliban leaders you screw around and you're all dead might take a little while but we'll get
00:27:19.120 you that's what trump did but the taliban said you know biden's not going to do that he's not going
00:27:25.660 to say that and that's why we have what we have so i don't believe out i and most americans agree
00:27:33.640 with me and you because i think you're at the same posture you can't stay there you know on infinitum
00:27:39.340 but you don't have to pull everyone out you can have a stable force of 3 000 based in bagram to make
00:27:49.000 sure that atrocities don't occur we're protecting human lives by doing that are we not yes biden do
00:27:57.980 you confident as he is would not even do that do we have the audio from canada um one of the canadian
00:28:07.820 ministers talking directly to the taliban if we have that can we play that here i want to take this
00:28:14.700 opportunity to speak to our brothers the taliban we call on you to ensure the safe and secure passage
00:28:25.880 of any individual in afghanistan out of the country we call on you to immediately stop the violence
00:28:35.160 the genocide the genocide the femicide the destruction of infrastructure including heritage
00:28:42.000 buildings okay we call on you she starts with our brothers the taliban do you think that um
00:28:53.140 that biden a lot i'm pretty sure rice thinks this way that they actually think that these guys are
00:29:01.820 kind of good guys honorable i don't think that i don't think you don't no no why are they saying
00:29:10.920 that well i was a canadian uh you know well no you had joe biden last night saying you know joe biden
00:29:18.680 made the taliban into heroes they were the ones he's trying to that's trying to kiss their he's trying
00:29:24.800 he's trying to kiss their tushes so he can get as many people out i understand is there any any doubt
00:29:31.980 in your mind that last night if trump were president if the same situation happened our military would
00:29:40.140 have had boots on the ground or drones would have been flying and we would have retaliated strongly
00:29:46.580 immediately i'm not sure because i don't think it's wise to launch military action when you're still
00:29:55.340 trying to pull people out of there but i don't as i said don't i know the taliban wouldn't have done
00:30:01.920 this look it's as simple as this when you do an operation you have to do the operation methodically
00:30:08.580 you got more than a thousand isis prisoners in bagram that has to be negotiated beforehand does it not
00:30:14.500 does it not you got a thousand guys there they're all murderers and you know we got to deal with them
00:30:22.480 but it wasn't dealt with but right now biden has to and i i emphasize has to launch military action
00:30:31.140 it's a matter of when he does it when you don't knee jerk and do it right away because that puts
00:30:40.400 innocent civilians in danger and babies as you were talking about beginning of the program
00:30:45.740 but you have to punish them you have to now will he do that can he retain that thought
00:30:54.420 i'm expecting that there will be some military action back because now the biden administration
00:31:02.000 is on the verge of collapse the biden administration and afghanistan have something in common
00:31:07.300 they're both collapsing so biden's gonna have to do something have to dramatic to tell the american
00:31:16.060 people oh no i'm not gonna sit by and watch this happen so expect that in the next two weeks or so
00:31:23.080 all right bill o'reilly 30 seconds what do you want to uh what do you want to pitch well i want you to
00:31:29.200 come on monday and let me know uh if you can't because i think that's an important conversation

00:31:40.300 directly impact americans lives number one number two the thank you for mentioning killing the mob
00:31:46.320 number eight last sunday it's incredible and if you need a good end of the summer you're on the beach
00:31:51.680 um it's a great you know killing the mob you don't get better and number three please
00:31:56.720 everyone please pray for your country we are in a very bad place right now we're in a very very bad
00:32:03.780 place bill o'reilly thank you and i think i'll have some breaking news on monday as uh as well thank
00:32:09.040 you so much we'll talk to you again stay safe
00:32:11.100 this is the best of the glenn beck program and don't forget rate us on itunes
00:32:20.220 somebody that i'm really anxious for you to uh meet uh in fact i'm having her on uh the friday
00:32:31.580 exclusive tonight to talk a little bit more about uh christian persecution all around uh the world and
00:32:38.440 and what what afghanistan means for christians around the world uh the collapse of this she's from
00:32:46.380 um the hudson institute you can find her at hudson.org her name is nina shea and she is a senior fellow
00:32:54.100 she's the director of the center for religious freedom and she has been fighting here to um
00:33:01.040 protect christians and get them out welcome nina how are you great to be with you glenn and you're
00:33:08.140 doing such incredible work for your charities on helping these christians right now in afghanistan
00:33:13.980 and that's what i'm primarily concerned with as i'm sure you are these days uh this week um which
00:33:21.760 may be their last chance we have um uh right now i have about 40 um missionaries that um uh we're
00:33:31.980 trying to get out and some of them have already been beaten with chains uh and they're in hiding now
00:33:38.060 and i mean i don't know how we're going to get these people out at least at this time um well
00:33:44.800 that's right i'm trying to i'm trying to work with the state department to get them uh you know
00:33:52.280 involved and uh uh you know they keep saying that they received the files and we're gonna you know
00:33:59.620 see i guess today will be the determining day um this is the day a fateful day for them we have
00:34:06.180 one case glenn uh of a man who's in hiding for a week around the perimeter of the airport
00:34:13.080 because he's so terrified he not only worked for the u.s government he's an adult but since he was
00:34:20.060 16 but so did his father and his brother they're christians and the father and brother were killed
00:34:26.180 last week murdered by the taliban for being um for both of those things and um for working for the u.s
00:34:33.460 and for being a christian he fled immediately his home in kandahar and is now in the perimeter
00:34:40.120 periphery of the airport in hiding waiting to get onto one of your planes and i've been told by your
00:34:47.540 team over there that your plane will take them but they can't get them into the airport and so um
00:34:54.400 this poor man um is in shock he cannot leave he will not go back to his home he will die there
00:35:01.220 if he has to because it's so brutal as you know you know a woman was shot because in the street
00:35:08.740 because she did not have a burqa on when the taliban took over uh this is their harsh interpretation of
00:35:16.300 islamic rule of uh their sharia and uh they show no mercy they um said you know they immediately
00:35:23.720 declared when they took over afghanistan islam has conquered afghanistan and islam will rule and they
00:35:32.180 erected a white flag with the islamic profession of faith and the problem with them is they do not
00:35:38.080 recognize the human agency in interpreting god's rule they don't recognize that humans apply it and
00:35:45.840 interpret it and therefore it's above criticism or accountability and if you dare to suggest reform
00:35:53.820 or moderation you will be accused of blasphemy or apostasy and put to death so that's that's the
00:36:00.380 basic problem there uh they don't believe in any form of democracy let me let me ask you can i can i go
00:36:07.320 back to are you willing to go in um at all about the the um how can i say this the the issues with
00:36:20.180 the state department are you willing to to talk about any of those or or not and i understand yes yes
00:36:27.520 no i i i am um the the uh there are individuals who are willing to help uh within the state department
00:36:36.100 and we're working with them i'm working with a wonderful member of congressman uh jeff fortenberry
00:36:42.740 who's an appropriator in congress means he is one of the people who control the purse spring purse strings
00:36:49.660 of the state department so they do have to listen to him he's uh from nebraska and he's been advocating
00:36:55.760 for us but so far we haven't gotten to square one we haven't gotten them into the airport so they
00:37:03.180 can take your plane or some other plane or a u.s plane and some of them are eligible for u.s planes
00:37:09.900 as well um but the state department has a policy right now of not letting in afghan civilians and um
00:37:18.820 they are focused on the political i think that you know they don't want to say uh the president
00:37:25.340 doesn't want to say that um that they left any american behind so they're trying to just focus
00:37:32.520 on that and and shut out the people that have supported us that work with us who are going to
00:37:38.000 be killed either for their face or here's the amazing thing is they don't have to do anything
00:37:46.260 you know our organization has people in the airport with the airplanes other organizations
00:37:52.940 have people outside the gates that want to come in or they're going and gathering these people and
00:37:59.020 then bringing them i mean we've all really been playing nicely with each other all of all of these
00:38:04.720 charities um are it's it's like nobody cares about credit and we're all just kind of doing it um and we
00:38:11.900 all have different strengths and weaknesses but the but the state department is acting like it's
00:38:18.280 just the biggest of deals just to approve a list right and you're not even asking for visa
00:38:27.260 for them uh you found other countries that will take them which is the most amazing piece of this
00:38:35.080 and um because i know how hard it is having gone through this and on the iraq christian
00:38:39.520 uh when uh front when isis came through that's always the toughest thing is to try to put the
00:38:46.180 whole package together which you have done and then they control the airport our people control the
00:38:51.780 airport and won't let them in um and uh it's it's it's really astonishing um people who've gotten in
00:38:58.800 as you know some of them have been driven out by the state department of the airport and uh so it's uh
00:39:07.460 it's unconscionable and um it's particularly galling to me because i heard uh the president
00:39:14.340 get on television last week and say that human rights were at the center of his concerns
00:39:19.660 and um that's simply not true here um we're seeing uh people being terribly persecuted for
00:39:30.840 their human rights for their right to religious freedom for their right to expression um aid workers
00:39:37.100 journalists everybody's in trouble glenn it's it's you know he's delivered over 40 million the
00:39:43.740 president has delivered over 40 million afghans to a brutally repress one of the world's most
00:39:49.620 brutally repressive islamist regimes so um it's it's astonishing um they're trying to say well
00:39:57.900 after today you know they're going to negotiate with the taliban to find ways out uh the taliban is a
00:40:04.320 it considers us to be blasphemers um we are not uh an islamic country now maybe we can go through
00:40:16.460 turkey or some other islamic country but they are so radical that it's impossible to know and
00:40:22.360 these checkpoints as you said people are getting brutalized at them by the taliban um there is a man
00:40:30.580 from canada that was waving his passport outside the airport perimeter who was bleeding from the head
00:40:37.420 after being beaten by chains by the taliban just for trying to leave um he had a canadian passport
00:40:44.140 um it's uh the the they want to kill anyone who is not part of their uh movement their ideological
00:40:55.180 movement of extreme sharia nina i'm sure you feel the same way you felt the same way um but for the
00:41:03.600 first time i really understood those people that were trying to get jews out of germany um you know we
00:41:10.380 had all this cash um and we could get airplanes but we couldn't necessarily get them um you know as
00:41:18.320 as the nazarene fund we have relied on other charities um to to help us do what they do best
00:41:24.700 and uh i i sat there in my home this was last week i think and i i sat there in my home and i thought
00:41:30.900 these people don't mean anything to the taliban they don't they don't they're going to kill them
00:41:39.460 it's just this raging hatred and it is it's such an amazing thing to to be in a position to where
00:41:48.680 you say i can buy them from you let me just buy them from you uh and you can't because the hatred
00:41:56.600 is so deep yeah um well these are people who have been um at war and killing and being killed for
00:42:05.120 40 years even before we were you know long long before we were there during the russian period
00:42:10.940 uh so they are hardened uh warriors uh they're even asking their own imam to in the country to make
00:42:19.920 lists of girls over the age of 12 um to marry off as spoils of war to their jihadis i mean this is the
00:42:27.280 way they think it's an extremely uh barbaric um culture um where they uh life is cheap women mean
00:42:37.040 nothing as women are property uh christians are beyond contempt they're they're an insult they're
00:42:42.860 considered an insult by their mere presence insult to their religion by mere presence their mere presence
00:42:48.080 and they want them killed they want to purify their land and um or so they think um so it's a blood
00:42:55.560 letting that has been going on for uh 40 years and to think that um we can negotiate with them um or
00:43:04.060 that we will have a partnership with them which one of our military commanders said i was astonished
00:43:10.620 to see that yesterday um is delusional and is extremely not dangerously it's foolish and dangerously
00:43:19.600 naive and um we are throwing the people who we work with our real partners people who believe in our
00:43:27.420 values and uh have supported us against this scourge and it's not going to stay in afghanistan glenn as you
00:43:34.700 know uh there is a counterpart in pakistan and pakistan is a country with a nuclear bomb
00:43:41.100 so it it's a very dangerous uh situation from a national security front from a geopolitical front
00:43:48.060 and then from our own sense of values and culture we're talking to uh nina shea um uh tonight when
00:43:57.560 we're on the tv show i want to just ask you um what the situation is around the rest of the world and
00:44:04.160 what this what this means but let me just um end our time here with how many that you know we don't
00:44:10.640 have numbers we have estimates and they range you know wildly how how many people that uh are marked
00:44:19.940 for death um because of their religion are we do you think we're leaving behind well i think that the
00:44:29.780 best estimates range between 10 and 12 000 christians um most of these christians are converts from islam
00:44:38.860 and they live in a deep underground um they have no real formal designated church building um so they
00:44:47.120 they reports on twitter saying that they feel thrown to the wolves so i think all of those people are in
00:44:53.980 danger of death men women and children um there are also uh hindus some sikhs some shia muslim hazaris
00:45:02.440 um and others who are uh too afraid to be mentioned i i know that the names of their face and i talked to
00:45:10.700 one of their leaders and he said don't mention us we're trying to get everybody out and that was a week
00:45:15.180 ago so um you know this is um you know i think it's easily 40 000 people that we've left behind um
00:45:24.080 and uh uh but especially uh these christians 10 to 12 because thousand because they are converts and
00:45:33.240 they are considered apostates and that's punishable under their code their interpretation of islam
00:45:39.120 um is punishable by death and um that's already happening and you know it's 10 years ago glenn there
00:45:48.360 was uh the taliban attacked a mission group who were on horseback going through the mountains in the
00:45:54.560 winter trying to give air care uh with their pack horses to the remote mountain villagers and they were
00:46:02.580 all murdered by the taliban they were all shot to death all 10 members of this team this medical team
00:46:08.400 doctor's team they weren't out to they happened to be a christian group but they weren't focusing on
00:46:13.280 spreading the faith they were focusing on giving this medical care and the taliban propagandist back
00:46:19.500 then is the same one who's identified in the press now as their spokesman his name is nuja heed is his
00:46:26.660 last name um he said the medical team was killed because they were spying for the americans and preaching
00:46:33.640 christianity he said that to the new york new york times that's where i got that so
00:46:38.320 um this is how they view christians we're talking to uh nina shea nina i'll talk to you uh later for
00:46:46.520 the um for the tv show tonight i i uh uh is there anything that we are not doing that we should be
00:46:54.280 doing to help you do you have everything you need from us i need prayer and i i really appreciate it
00:47:02.300 glenn thank you so much okay um thank you so much for everything that you do you know we're kind of
00:47:08.800 just showing up here at the end and you've been doing this um you know for a very very long time
00:47:14.880 with others thank you um nina shea um you can follow her at uh hudson.org at the hudson institute
