The Glenn Beck Program - Best of the Program ｜ Guests： Diana Furchtgott-Roth & Jim Harden ｜ 6⧸9⧸22

00:00:00.000 Wow, today is a fantastic, fantastic podcast that you just don't want to miss.

00:00:05.760 Alan Dershowitz talked to us about the January 6th show trials that apparently are on TV tonight.

00:00:12.600 He told us, if you're going to watch, you have to watch it with this frame of mind.

00:00:16.800 Also, we talked about the January 6th prisoners, which he called political prisoners.

00:00:21.900 It is terrifying, the world that he is describing, and he's right.

00:00:27.120 But also, we started the program with the left and how they've just kind of ignored the guy who tried to kill the Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh over abortion and gun restrictions.

00:00:39.360 While we were there on abortion, we also have the CEO from the Pro-Life Pregnancy Center in Buffalo, New York, that was firebombed, the third one.

00:00:49.900 He called it Kristallnacht. I don't know if I agree with him, but it is coming. 0.98

00:00:54.320 And Biden says a revolution is coming over abortion and guns if they decide the wrong way in the Supreme Court.

00:01:03.360 All that and so much more on today's podcast.

00:01:06.340 Like I said on the podcast today, we are talking about your economy as well.

00:01:11.080 And when is this inflation thing going to get under control?

00:01:15.180 Not soon, I'll tell you that.

00:01:17.120 Most people don't know this, but Americans, it is possible for you to use your retirement account to acquire precious metals.

00:01:26.840 People say, I don't have the money to buy gold or whatever.

00:01:30.020 You could be saving up for retirement and building a protective wall against inflation and other forms of economic insanity that will pop up.

00:01:38.260 This is a big idea, something that Goldline could help you out with right now.

00:01:44.400 I've been working with Goldline for, gosh, I think almost two decades.

00:01:49.420 This is why I trust them.

00:01:50.820 I was buying stuff from them before they ever became a customer of mine.

00:01:54.740 They do business the right way.

00:01:56.260 I've seen it for myself.

00:01:57.420 I've done my own homework, but do your own homework.

00:01:59.360 Give them a call today, because time really is not on any of our sides on this.

00:02:04.960 Call Goldline.

00:02:06.280 Tell them that I sent you from the podcast and give them the code MYB.

00:02:13.080 That's goldline.com.

00:02:14.660 Use the code MYB, which represents Mind Your Business.

00:02:19.080 The Mind Your Business silver bars they give to people just like you.

00:02:23.760 Just any listener that says MYB as a thank you for just calling in.

00:02:27.340 Request the information at their website, goldline.com, or call them at 866-GOLD-LINE.

00:02:41.140 You're listening to The Best of the Glenn Beck Program.

00:02:48.240 You know, I was telling somebody who was up here at the ranch yesterday,

00:02:53.280 we were talking about how to solve America's problems.

00:02:57.340 And I said, one of the biggest things we have to do is we have to return to the philosophy

00:03:01.580 of George Washington.

00:03:02.840 We have to be people of merit.

00:03:05.600 We have to merit and earn the right to even be able to ask God,

00:03:13.780 can you help us with our problems?

00:03:16.280 And that doesn't mean doing the things we want to do.

00:03:19.760 That doesn't mean getting God on our side.

00:03:23.140 God is, believe it or not, on everybody's side.

00:03:27.760 However, he can only help the people that are walking in his footsteps,

00:03:32.620 especially when we are facing evil.

00:03:35.240 You can't have anything to do with evil.

00:03:38.640 And malice and revenge and anger, those do not come from him.

00:03:45.680 So we need to look for things that we can do.

00:03:49.640 And I'm on a kick this year to this audience.

00:03:54.320 I would like to see us raise enough money to save 50,000 children from being aborted.

00:04:02.680 And I'll tell you about that later.

00:04:04.360 But we have to have these centers around, and they are coming under attack.

00:04:10.880 This is the third now pregnancy service that has been attacked.

00:04:16.320 This one just happened outside of Buffalo, I believe.

00:04:22.960 It's up in upstate New York.

00:04:25.200 And the CEO, James Harden, is on with us now.

00:04:28.600 It's Compass Care Pregnancy Services, and so you know, James is a guy who has really done so much for life.

00:04:41.480 He came up with the first measurable and repeatable medical model in the pregnancy center movement,

00:04:47.560 which has helped hundreds of centers nationwide become more effective at reaching more women

00:04:53.640 and saving more babies from abortion.

00:04:55.900 There's a reason that they selected his abortion center.

00:05:01.720 Their Buffalo office was the one that was hit.

00:05:04.560 Welcome to the program, James Harden.

00:05:07.860 Glenn, it's an honor to be with you.

00:05:09.500 Thanks for having me on.

00:05:11.740 You bet.

00:05:12.480 So tell me what happened, first of all.

00:05:15.480 This happened in the middle of the night.

00:05:18.200 Everybody is safe, right?

00:05:19.780 What happened?

00:05:21.640 This is the pro-abortion crystal knock.

00:05:23.840 What happened was glass was broken and fires lit because we do not comply with the ruling elite's position that we should be referring and providing for abortion.

00:05:37.960 Women do not feel like they have a choice when they're facing an unplanned pregnancy. 0.99

00:05:43.500 They feel stuck, trapped, like they've got no choice, like they need to have an abortion.

00:05:47.560 And what we do is we erase the need for abortion by transforming a woman's fear and confidence with ethical medical care and comprehensive community support throughout the pregnancy and beyond.

00:05:57.720 And they targeted women that night.

00:06:00.340 They targeted women.

00:06:01.820 This is heinous.

00:06:04.120 The building is totally destroyed.

00:06:05.940 We've got essentially 25% fire damage, 100% smoke damage.

00:06:09.160 It's going to take months to repair, hundreds of thousands of dollars.

00:06:12.040 But, you know, the church in Western New York has rallied.

00:06:16.940 We didn't lose one single patient that day, and we've relocated to a secure, undisclosed location, and we're serving patients.

00:06:25.060 We were serving patients up and running yesterday.

00:06:27.040 They meant to shut us down, and we soldiered on.

00:06:30.760 I have to tell you, I can't believe we're living in the days that I never really truly could understand when I would read, and good would be evil, and evil would be called good.

00:06:46.680 Look at what's happening.

00:06:48.560 You're going underground because you refuse to kill children.

00:06:55.700 Exactly right.

00:06:58.500 I'm with you 100%, Glenn.

00:07:00.240 I can't believe we're living in these days either when good is called evil and evil is called good.

00:07:05.020 Everything's upside down, and what's bothering me right now is that the politicians are refusing to denounce the violence against pro-life pregnancy centers.

00:07:16.960 They're refusing to say, hey, this is wrong.

00:07:21.120 Violence is wrong everywhere all the time.

00:07:24.500 This is not how you solve problems.

00:07:26.360 And their silence can only be interpreted as complicity.

00:07:30.860 And it's emboldening these terrorists.

00:07:33.360 This is a national trend.

00:07:36.600 Okay, so I know it is.

00:07:39.360 So, but tell me what's happening in New York.

00:07:42.700 The governor of New York earmarked millions of dollars to help pay for, you know, women to travel to New York for abortions.

00:07:50.460 They're allocating more money to beef up security for abortion providers. 0.50

00:07:55.480 And they don't even seem really interested in finding out who did this with you.

00:08:01.820 No, the FBI is involved.

00:08:04.360 The FBI has been involved since before the firebombing because we had threats, and they knew it was coming.

00:08:10.100 And Kathy Hochul, Governor Hochul, has refused to denounce the violence against pro-life pregnancy centers.

00:08:16.680 Furthermore, she adds insult to injury by getting the legislator to pass a bill to investigate pregnancy centers. 1.00

00:08:23.680 I mean, what is that?

00:08:24.540 She should be vetoing that bill. 0.99

00:08:25.720 What do you mean, investigating pregnancy?

00:08:29.320 What are they investigating you for?

00:08:31.740 For how we're potentially harming women's ability to access health care and unmet resource needs. 1.00

00:08:41.460 We are their health care and unmet resource needs provider.

00:08:47.040 And they're going to investigate.

00:08:47.960 What do you know?

00:08:48.640 They need to redirect the funds that they're sending to this investigation to investigate the true criminals.

00:08:55.720 Where is Letitia James, the Attorney General? 1.00

00:08:57.820 Why isn't she investigating these true criminals that are?

00:09:01.280 If you live in New York, you need to be on the phone with your legislators and your governor and the Attorney General, probably most importantly, and ask them where they are.

00:09:12.400 Why are they not investigating these things?

00:09:15.600 On your building, Jane was here, was spray-painted on the building. 0.95

00:09:20.560 What do you know about the group that is Jane's Revenge, and how sure is anybody that they were the ones that did it?

00:09:29.700 Well, Jane's Revenge is the organization that has been inciting violence against pro-life activity, specifically pro-life pregnancy centers.

00:09:41.200 Jane's Revenge refers to Jane's Collective, which was an underground abortion activist group in the 1960s in Chicago, and they provided abortions out of people's houses.

00:09:55.380 And so Jane's Revenge is afraid that Roe v. Wade is going to get reversed, and they're doing everything they can with respect to using terror to shut down any kind of pro-life activity.

00:10:07.200 But you know what? When Roe v. Wade, as you know, Glenn, if Roe v. Wade is reversed by the Supreme Court in the coming weeks, it doesn't end abortion.

00:10:15.520 It just concentrates it in abortion-hub states like New York.

00:10:19.160 We're already seeing women coming from Texas to receive services here. 0.99

00:10:22.860 You are going to live in a state, because I, you know, when the regulator is off, and they feel like they're making a point, I'm telling you they're going to start killing children after birth.

00:10:37.660 They're just going to let them die, and it will be totally legal to do that.

00:10:42.060 And the choice will be clear for so many people.

00:10:45.320 Are you going to be a part of a state that is actually involved in this evil, or will you go someplace and give your tax dollars to someplace that is doing the opposite and trying to save lives?

00:11:02.160 And, you know, it's interesting, Jim, you know, I've been doing some work with pre-born, and you are cut from the same cloth, I think, and it's not just about saving the baby.

00:11:14.440 It is the aftercare and the care that goes all the way along with the child that is so important that nobody on the left will do.

00:11:24.500 No. No, I defy anyone to find an abortionist who's going to provide any kind of care aside from what they get paid for, and that's only abortion. 0.96

00:11:35.780 They're only going to do abortion, and they're only going to get paid for it. 1.00

00:11:38.480 But we do everything for free.

00:11:39.980 We provide all this ethical medical care and comprehensive community support for free.

00:11:45.280 They're not lifting a finger for these women. 1.00

00:11:46.960 They're not providing.

00:11:47.740 You know what abortion is? 0.57

00:11:48.560 Abortion is abandonment.

00:11:49.700 That's society's way of saying we don't want anything to do with this.

00:11:52.380 But the community rallies around women through pregnancy centers, pro-life pregnancy centers, because we believe, we believe that everyone is made in the image of God and therefore equally valuable and deserving of protection.

00:12:06.440 That's where dignity emanates from for the human being.

00:12:09.920 And we've lost that because we've lost the belief that we all, human beings, are the crown of creation and must be blessed and protected.

00:12:16.560 Even the people that live in the dark and firebombed our clinic the other day, those people also are made in God's image and deserving of blessing and protection, and we're calling them out to the light.

00:12:25.360 Jim, how can we help you?

00:12:30.340 First of all, let me just ask the audience, please, if you have money, and I know money's tight, so you have to be careful on where you're given money, but I'm telling you, God's blessings will rain down on us if we are protecting God's children, all of God's children.

00:12:49.680 If we don't strike out in violence, if we live the teachings of Jesus Christ, and we help on this front, it may be the difference of survival and not for our nation.

00:13:03.900 So, erasingtheneed.com slash donate, the money will go to Compass Care Pregnancy Services so they can continue their work, they can rebuild and be secure.

00:13:17.460 Erasingtheneed.com slash donate.

00:13:20.400 Please, first thing, make a donation.

00:13:23.960 What else can people do?

00:13:26.560 What else people can do?

00:13:28.180 They can pray.

00:13:29.640 Pray for wisdom.

00:13:30.860 Pray for strength.

00:13:31.440 Pray for unity.

00:13:32.220 Pray that the violence will end.

00:13:35.620 Also, people can act beyond giving.

00:13:38.880 Certainly, they can give.

00:13:41.080 We have a national strategy, and our strategy is working, and that's why we've been attacked.

00:13:45.840 We know that the abortion battle lines are shifting, and the abortion industry is scrambling, and the reason why they attacked us is because what we're doing to reduce abortion is working.

00:13:56.240 And we have a model to expand services and infrastructure throughout New York State to handle the increased load.

00:14:03.100 We're at Buffalo, Rochester, Albany expanding into telehealth and downstate into the city.

00:14:07.280 It's working, Glenn, and we've got a model for all the abortion hub states to follow, and they know it.

00:14:13.500 And what you can do is everybody can do this.

00:14:15.980 Everybody can go to ProLifePregnancyCenter.com and sign a petition that will go to Joe Biden and other politicians like New York Governor Hochul, demanding that they denounce the violence to ProLife Pregnancy Centers and veto this heinous, nefarious, frivolous investigation bill against pregnancy centers in New York.

00:14:36.080 I never thought, Jim, that pro-life and this fight would be the thing that would bring us together.

00:14:51.640 Yeah.

00:14:52.560 I always saw it as a divisive issue, and I spent many years of my career, probably half of my career, not even talking about abortion because it was so divisive.

00:15:04.160 But I have to tell you, I think it is the thing that will, in the end, unite us and unite us in a way of peace and healing.

00:15:16.860 Yes.

00:15:17.540 Yes.

00:15:18.220 Abortion represents a flashpoint of culture that forces us to think about the value of humanity.

00:15:25.700 You know, abortion represents a fundamental misunderstanding of what it means to be human under God.

00:15:30.460 And if we take the lessons that we're learning right now, society can rehumanize.

00:15:36.520 We can return to civilized order.

00:15:39.000 You know, the only way to do this is to follow in the footsteps of Christ.

00:15:43.360 He died on the cross for us, the weak and vulnerable sinner before God, who we would die of exposure to our sins.

00:15:49.100 And he said, I'm going to die for you, but you can go and do likewise.

00:15:52.320 Go and do likewise for the weak and vulnerable.

00:15:53.940 There is no one weaker in our society, no one more vulnerable in our society than a woman who thinks she has no choice but to end the life of her child and the child in her womb whose mother thinks she has to abort. 0.97

00:16:07.620 There is no one weaker.

00:16:09.040 And that is how you walk in the footsteps of Jesus.

00:16:11.680 You serve them.

00:16:12.480 You love them.

00:16:13.220 You protect them.

00:16:14.120 You bless them.

00:16:14.640 Thank you so much, Jim.

00:16:18.120 You feel free.

00:16:19.620 Keep our number.

00:16:20.320 You call me anytime you need anything.

00:16:22.460 All right?

00:16:23.540 Thank you, Glenn.

00:16:25.120 Is your staff mentally okay?

00:16:29.700 Our staff, our morale is high, but I can tell you we're getting a little tired.

00:16:35.740 We've got a lot of work ahead of us, but no one is flagging.

00:16:43.440 No one is failing.

00:16:44.880 Everybody is doing a fantastic job in the church and Western New York and the people, New Yorkers in general, are rallying.

00:16:50.880 It's a wonderful thing to see.

00:16:52.740 And you know what Satan means for evil, God will turn for his good.

00:16:57.600 Yes, he will.

00:16:59.080 Jim, thank you very much.

00:17:00.100 This is Jim Harden, CEO of Compass Care Pregnancy Services.

00:17:03.080 You can donate and help at erasingtheneed.com slash donate.

00:17:13.380 This is why we have taken on another sponsor, preborn.com slash Beck.

00:17:21.160 We took them on as a sponsor on The Blaze, and they really do so much good.

00:17:28.080 We have to stand together and help the children, help the children live.

00:17:38.980 This is the best of the Glenn Beck Program, and don't forget, rate us on iTunes.

00:17:43.780 This is the Glenn Beck Program.

00:17:52.480 Boy, we are seeing some real problems.

00:17:55.220 I read an article authored by a bunch of Yahoo experts.

00:18:00.680 They were all the ones that said, oh, inflation's transitory.

00:18:03.800 It's nothing to worry about.

00:18:04.820 Now they're coming out going, okay, it's not.

00:18:06.900 I mean, yeah, we were wrong before, but we're right this time.

00:18:10.500 This is the worst it's going to get by the, you know, by the new year.

00:18:14.080 We're going to be rolling.

00:18:15.440 I don't buy that for a second.

00:18:17.160 And here's why.

00:18:19.080 All of the things that are being done right now are going to add to inflation and shortages.

00:18:26.400 Right now, there are 16 states just at the beginning of the week.

00:18:34.060 What was it?

00:18:35.020 10?

00:18:35.940 There are now 16 states that are paying $5 a gallon for gasoline.

00:18:40.460 Maine is $5.02, Massachusetts $5.02, Idaho just over $5.00, New Jersey over $5.00, Pennsylvania, Ohio over $5.00, Arizona $5.18, Michigan $5.21, Indiana $5.23, Alaska $5.46, Alaska $5.46, Illinois $5.53, Washington State $5.48, Oregon $5.48, Hawaii $5.50.

00:19:10.460 Hawaii is paying $5.49, and Nevada is paying $5.56 a gallon.

00:19:18.440 And then California coming in at number one at $6.39 a gallon.

00:19:27.460 Now, what is causing this?

00:19:31.720 By the way, several other states are on the verge.

00:19:35.980 Utah, gas is $4.98, Vermont $4.99.

00:19:40.460 So those will be added.

00:19:42.200 We added, I think, $0.26 this week.

00:19:45.260 $0.26 in the last seven days.

00:19:48.560 And it's not going to stop.

00:19:49.900 Because of ESG, because of everything that this government is doing to stop funding oil research and petroleum companies.

00:20:04.420 Do we have Diana on yet, Sarah?

00:20:06.660 Okay.

00:20:12.120 She is, Diana, I want to get her name right, Furch Gott Roth.

00:20:19.540 There's a name that clearly you change.

00:20:22.000 Or, you know, if you're marrying into that, you're like, no, I don't want to do that.

00:20:25.400 Anyway, Diana is an adjunct professor of economics at George Washington University.

00:20:32.240 She has been the chief economist at the U.S. Department of Labor, chief of staff, the President's Council of Economic Advisors, deputy executive secretary for domestic policy.

00:20:42.060 She also served under Reagan, Bush, and the second Bush.

00:20:48.300 She's kind of an expert.

00:20:49.580 And I really, really want to talk to her about two different kinds of inflation.

00:20:56.460 The inflation that is caused because we printed so much money.

00:21:00.940 And then the inflation that is not going to go away, in my opinion.

00:21:05.400 And that is the inflation on food and gas and things like that.

00:21:11.200 Because we are moving into a new green economy.

00:21:15.200 And it's going to cost us a fortune.

00:21:17.960 By the way, did you ever vote for that?

00:21:24.180 Because I didn't vote for that.

00:21:25.980 I thought we were voting for someone that would just, you know, take us back to normal and be sane.

00:21:31.940 I don't think we've gotten that.

00:21:34.140 Maybe it's, you know, maybe it's just me.

00:21:39.640 Diana, are you there?

00:21:41.940 Yes, I'm here.

00:21:43.820 Hi, welcome.

00:21:45.280 It's an honor to have you on the program.

00:21:47.960 To answer some hillbilly questions from a guy like me.

00:21:52.900 But I would, I'd like to ask you about inflation.

00:22:00.840 But two different kinds of inflation.

00:22:03.540 Inflation that comes from money printing.

00:22:05.900 But then there, is there not?

00:22:07.760 Inflation that is coming because of ESG and our energy policies, what's happening with the food crisis and everything else.

00:22:16.960 Those are two different reasons we're feeling this price crunch, correct?

00:22:23.320 That is correct, yes.

00:22:26.820 But with the Fed monetizing and accommodating these supply pressures, then it means that inflation is higher.

00:22:35.600 So you see that in the EU, for example, they've had the same upward pressures on energy, but their inflation rate is lower.

00:22:42.800 Same with Switzerland, for example, because their central banks have behaved in a different way.

00:22:46.720 So why is Germany in so much trouble?

00:22:50.240 I'm seeing Germany, you know, their inflation is the highest, I think, since 1950 or something like that.

00:22:59.340 Why is Germany different?

00:23:00.780 Right.

00:23:01.620 Do you know?

00:23:02.020 Well, they, they, Germany is having particular, particularly high problems with, with its energy prices.

00:23:09.620 And the two, the two work together, of course.

00:23:13.920 They work together, of course, if you have higher prices, then they do affect, if you have higher prices, then of course, they do affect what the Federal Reserve is doing.

00:23:25.240 So, so the, but the Federal Reserve, even if the Federal Reserve could correct all of the mistakes that we've made, it is the, the problem with our gas and energy is that we are hell bent now with this administration on destroying all fossil fuels.

00:23:41.760 So there's no funding through ESG, and, and so that's not going to go away.

00:23:46.880 These, these prices are relatively where they're going to be forever.

00:23:52.060 I mean, they go up, but it's not going back down to $2 a gallon with these, with this administration.

00:23:58.140 Do you agree with that?

00:24:00.440 Yes.

00:24:00.900 Unless this administration changes its mind, then yes, things are not going to go down.

00:24:05.740 Yes.

00:24:06.720 Yes, exactly.

00:24:08.960 Okay.

00:24:09.860 So it feels as though the American people are being impoverished.

00:24:15.360 You know, I don't know where you stand on the great reset, but it bothers me when someone says, hey, in eight years, you'll own nothing and you'll be happy.

00:24:22.060 Uh, it feels like we're being impoverished.

00:24:24.320 And at the same time, they just came out with, um, you know, uh, a new safety net, uh, for retirees.

00:24:33.780 It seems as though the government is starting to just gobble up everything and starting to provide everything.

00:24:40.760 Do you know much about secure 2.0?

00:24:43.140 I know that secure 2.0 is not necessary.

00:24:49.240 The assumption is that low income workers don't have any way of saving for retirement, but, uh, we have IRAs.

00:24:57.440 Uh, you can put $6,000 a year in an IRA.

00:25:01.060 The vast majority of people do not use that amount of tax deferred savings and, uh, you can have it automatically come out of your bank account every month.

00:25:13.560 So there are no, there are, there are tax deferred retirement programs for low income people.

00:25:20.480 That is why IRAs got put in.

00:25:22.780 So it's not fair to make employers have the burden of that.

00:25:27.620 So then what are they doing with this new retirement, with this new retirement plan?

00:25:33.160 What, what is this?

00:25:34.340 What is their goal?

00:25:35.180 The goal is to require employers to provide 401k or retirement plans for all their workers, which up to now, uh, has been optional.

00:25:48.720 What's that going to do to us?

00:25:50.700 What's going to do to businesses?

00:25:52.680 Well, it's going to raise the cost of businesses because you have to hire somebody to do it.

00:25:56.600 I mean, say you work in a hardware store and you have a lot of low income workers working as cashiers or helping people find goods in the hardware store.

00:26:03.600 So you might have to provide, uh, uh, a 401k plan for these individuals.

00:26:09.540 So you're going to have to call up a benefits manager. 0.89

00:26:12.240 I mean, you probably don't even have a benefits manager.

00:26:14.240 You probably just give them payroll every month.

00:26:16.180 Now you're faced with setting up a 401k for them, even for larger sophisticated firms or consulting firms.

00:26:23.400 Often they don't have a 401k or a startup that wouldn't have a 401k.

00:26:27.680 It's difficult to do.

00:26:28.800 So it places an additional burden on small businesses.

00:26:31.940 That is not necessary because if these individual cashiers in the hardware store wanted to put $6,000 in an IRA, they would be able to do that.

00:26:41.160 If they wanted their bank to transfer $500 a month, that would be auto enrollment into the 401k program.

00:26:49.120 They could do that.

00:26:49.960 So it's just a matter of the federal government getting involved where it isn't really neat.

00:26:54.720 It is.

00:26:56.700 This is incredible.

00:26:57.860 I mean, you worked, um, in the Reagan administration.

00:27:01.300 It feels like what we're suggesting, and we're not even close to it on the Fed level.

00:27:06.440 But if the Fed did what the Fed did in, you know, 1980, 1981, uh, and two, and started raising, you know, up to 19%.

00:27:16.260 And we had all of this Biden red tape that he's adding, you would stop the heart of this nation.

00:27:25.600 Would you not?

00:27:27.280 Economically speaking, really, uh, uh, you really would.

00:27:30.920 You would definitely send the economy into a recession and you would cause major damage, especially to the low income workers that president Biden purports to represent.

00:27:39.920 So, uh, as you're looking at things, um, and you know what the situation is now where it's all being done administratively, it's not really even going to go through Congress.

00:27:54.560 He'll just keep doing it, uh, you know, administratively.

00:27:57.700 How long can we take this beating before we really start to see everything just go haywire?

00:28:05.300 Well, it's not, it's not a question of, uh, how long, I mean, the longer it goes, uh, the worst people are going to be off.

00:28:12.700 But the wonderful thing about the United States, and I speak as an immigrant from the United Kingdom, is that the pendulum does swing back.

00:28:19.920 And there's an opportunity to do that in November.

00:28:22.520 There's an opportunity.

00:28:23.560 And the polls say that the House and Senate are going to be Republican.

00:28:26.960 So that'll be an opportunity for oversight hearing.

00:28:29.280 There's going to be an opportunity in 2024.

00:28:31.220 So I think the damage is in the United States is always limited because people have the choice of voting in another party.

00:28:39.540 And when times get bad, they do that.

00:28:43.000 I, I, uh, from, from your mouth to God's ears, um, uh, I was reading an article today about, I think it was said in the New York times, maybe.

00:28:52.400 Yeah, I think it was New York times.

00:28:53.820 All of these experts that had said inflation is transitory.

00:28:57.420 Um, and now they're saying, okay, we were wrong about that.

00:29:01.040 However, we're about at the top of the inflation ladder and it's going to start coming down.

00:29:06.160 And 2023 is going to be great.

00:29:08.260 It'll come back down.

00:29:09.240 One of them was actually saying it'll be back down to 1.2% inflation rate.

00:29:13.840 Um, who do we listen to?

00:29:17.020 Who, is there anybody out there that we can trust?

00:29:20.960 And what is going to happen with the inflation rate?

00:29:24.360 Best guess.

00:29:27.640 Well, it's certainly going to be, uh, above 8%.

00:29:30.920 I would say certainly through the summer, uh, with high energy prices affecting people's use of air conditioners.

00:29:38.860 Some people are saying they're going to be blackouts.

00:29:41.360 High gas prices are going to be pervasive, uh, throughout the summer.

00:29:44.960 But the important thing to know is this is a self-inflicted wound.

00:29:48.960 America has the largest oil and natural gas reserves in the world.

00:29:53.260 We could be, uh, encouraging fossil fuel production, encouraging pipelines, and we're not doing that.

00:29:59.360 This is a problem that's fixable.

00:30:01.200 And that's the sunny side of this.

00:30:03.440 This is something we can fix with another administration, uh, with another Congress.

00:30:08.440 I, I, uh, I'm so glad to hear your optimism.

00:30:11.600 Um, thank you so much for your service to the nation and, and everything you've done, uh, over the years.

00:30:17.400 And I can't imagine what it's like to be an adjunct professor at George Washington University.

00:30:22.240 I hope it's not as bad as it is everywhere else.

00:30:25.060 But, uh, a university that wants to take the name of George Washington down scares me.

00:30:29.880 But no, I have wonderful students.

00:30:31.520 They ask great questions and I enjoy teaching.

00:30:34.460 Good, good.

00:30:35.240 Thank you so much.

00:30:36.220 We'll talk again.

00:30:37.040 God bless you.

00:30:37.800 Thanks so much.

00:30:41.600 The best of the Glenn Beck program.

00:30:54.920 Oh, well, thank goodness.

00:30:58.440 A giant gun bill has just passed in the house.

00:31:04.560 Woo.

00:31:05.380 Thank goodness.

00:31:07.020 It passed now mostly on a party line vote.

00:31:11.500 Five Republicans supported the measure.

00:31:14.380 Two, two Democrats opposed it.

00:31:17.300 Uh, so, uh, that's, uh, that's, we're going to be talking about those people.

00:31:22.220 Also, did you notice that Matthew McConaughey, I guess some people really liked it.

00:31:28.160 I thought it was weird.

00:31:29.100 Uh, Matthew McConaughey was speaking from behind the podium of the press secretary in the White

00:31:37.440 House.

00:31:38.780 What?

00:31:39.720 What?

00:31:40.560 How did that happen?

00:31:42.640 Stu, do you know how that happened?

00:31:45.580 Huh?

00:31:45.780 Was it because he's the leading, foremost expert on gun control and policy in the United States?

00:31:54.440 No.

00:31:55.040 Does he have an expertise on the matter in any way, shape or form?

00:32:00.260 No.

00:32:01.060 He's got a connection to Hunter Biden.

00:32:05.180 Was it because he was in all those Lincoln commercials?

00:32:09.020 Possibly.

00:32:09.600 Was that?

00:32:10.120 No.

00:32:10.820 No, no, it wasn't.

00:32:12.220 He was in Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the next generation. 0.93

00:32:15.940 Was it?

00:32:16.620 Well, you're getting warmer now.

00:32:18.360 You're getting warmer.

00:32:19.280 Let me, let me ask you, did you find it, um, well done at all?

00:32:26.700 Common sense, comfortable even?

00:32:29.060 He was, for an actor, he did not do, I didn't think he did a good job.

00:32:34.580 No.

00:32:34.760 Did you?

00:32:35.220 No, I did not think he did a good job at all.

00:32:37.160 I mean, again, he's way out of his depth here.

00:32:39.500 He obviously doesn't know anything about what he's talking about.

00:32:43.240 And that's, it's, it's difficult to do a White House, uh, uh, session with a bunch of reporters

00:32:51.000 when you don't know what you're talking about, unless they don't challenge you at all in any

00:32:55.340 way, which obviously is the type of thing he should expect in that situation.

00:32:59.700 But no, I did not think it was impressive or, or it didn't win me over, Glenn.

00:33:04.540 Yeah, it didn't win me over at all.

00:33:05.920 Um, so here's why he got into it.

00:33:10.260 Um, well, let me start, let me start here.

00:33:14.360 Uh, you know that Joe Biden has a son and, uh, his son has said that his father thinks

00:33:27.000 that he Hunter Biden is the smartest man he's ever met. 0.74

00:33:33.960 Now this is the crack addict that was just seen recently, uh, posing with a hooker and 1.00

00:33:43.600 a gun as his penis, which was, I mean, who doesn't take a photo of themselves like that? 0.99

00:33:50.380 Um, anyway, uh, friends of Hunter says he discusses the finer points of Ukraine policy and other 0.99

00:33:57.320 matters of state around the dinner table with his father on regular weekend visits home to

00:34:02.860 Delaware or Camp David.

00:34:04.540 One former friend describes him as his father's closest advisor.

00:34:09.400 Now this may explain an awful lot.

00:34:12.640 We have an actual crackhead giving the advice.

00:34:17.040 Now, do you remember the, you don't want to call him sugar daddy.

00:34:23.820 You remember the, the sugar lawyer, the sugar boy, the, I don't know the sugar brother, the

00:34:31.900 LA entertainment lawyer, Kevin Morris.

00:34:34.260 Do you remember him?

00:34:36.100 Nobody is talking about this.

00:34:37.680 Nobody will remember this.

00:34:38.960 Um, so, um, Kevin Morris is a big Hollywood, uh, entertainment lawyer, big, big name.

00:34:47.160 When Hunter Biden was in trouble, uh, with the IRS, he didn't have the million dollars

00:34:52.920 of back taxes.

00:34:54.100 So Kevin Morris just paid the IRS for him.

00:35:00.180 Why?

00:35:01.400 I don't know.

00:35:02.440 I mean, how many times have you just higgledy piggledy, just gone out and said, you know, 0.81

00:35:09.760 I think this crackhead is a good bet.

00:35:12.280 Uh, I'm just going to take care of his million dollar tax liability. 0.81

00:35:17.380 No questions, no strings.

00:35:19.180 Uh huh.

00:35:20.440 So anyway, um, guess who he represents?

00:35:26.900 Matthew McConaughey.

00:35:28.260 So the lawyer that paid off the tax bill of over a million dollars with nothing in return,

00:35:37.540 uh, happens to represent Matthew McConaughey and the guy he gave that money to happens to

00:35:47.120 be the president's closest advisor.

00:35:50.100 Okay.

00:35:50.880 That is, that is only a scenario a crack pipe could come up with.

00:35:55.840 And that is this administration is a one giant crack pipe.

00:36:01.460 It's probably the best way to look at it.

00:36:04.960 I think every press conference should sound like this.

00:36:09.040 No, I mean, the economy is really, really good right now.

00:36:12.940 It is great.

00:36:14.260 It's turning around best, best economy we've ever had.

00:36:18.920 And it would make more sense.

00:36:23.280 You could make the argument that Matthew McConaughey's character in Dazed and Confused

00:36:28.180 would be better than Corinne Jean-Pierre.

00:36:31.040 I think that's fair to say.

00:36:34.860 Let me give you a, let me give you a piece of audio here from Joy Behar yesterday,

00:36:40.960 talking about guns.

00:36:44.100 Listen to this.

00:36:45.320 Most AR-15 owners are former military, 35 plus is married.

00:36:48.620 Let me say one more thing.

00:36:48.980 So that's all I'm saying is that they're not these crazy people.

00:36:51.440 Here's the thing. 0.98

00:36:52.060 Once black people get guns in this country, the gun laws will change. 1.00

00:36:55.100 Trust me. 1.00

00:36:55.940 Oh God, that is the dumbest point. 1.00

00:36:57.780 And they make it all the time. 1.00

00:36:59.000 We want black people to have guns in this country. 1.00

00:37:02.760 They have a second amendment right, just like white people, just like Hispanic people, 0.89

00:37:08.600 just like every other person in this country.

00:37:11.760 We want them to take advantage of their rights.

00:37:14.900 Full stop. 0.98

00:37:16.520 The only ones that have ever tried to take guns away from blacks are Democrats. 0.99

00:37:23.960 Look it up. 0.97

00:37:25.440 Check it out.

00:37:26.880 Democrats every single time.

00:37:30.560 So I love the idea.

00:37:33.380 I think everyone in Chicago that could legally apply for a permit and go buy a gun.

00:37:40.040 I think every black mother and father should have a gun in Chicago. 1.00

00:37:44.540 You want to stop things? 0.99

00:37:45.960 Have mama come out on her stoop and say, get the F away from my children. 1.00

00:37:51.140 Understand?

00:37:53.260 That would stop a lot of things.

00:37:55.900 There's no reason why people have to cower in fear when the government won't do their own job.

00:38:02.520 Yeah.

00:38:02.880 Oh, so racist.

00:38:04.180 And you know what it feels like?

00:38:05.520 Almost a little bit like replacement theory.

00:38:08.620 Now, I'm not an expert like the Democrats are on replacement theory. 0.96

00:38:12.680 But isn't this, wasn't, didn't that say, by the way, she was talking to a black woman who owns a gun. 1.00

00:38:20.860 She said that to her. 0.99

00:38:24.500 Isn't it a little like, you should be afraid because you watch these white people, once blacks get guns, once they think that they can control things, you know, these uppity blacks, they'll start getting guns. 1.00

00:38:38.720 And that's when the Republicans will change the law. 0.97

00:38:42.560 Isn't that kind of in the family of replacement theory? 0.98

00:38:47.460 It's funny because it's they, they say these things as if they're assigning them to Republicans and evil white people. 0.98

00:38:55.700 It's all them. 0.96

00:38:56.260 But I mean, this is just their views.

00:38:57.640 These are the views that have been in the middle of the progressive movement forever.

00:39:00.720 You couldn't trust black people with guns in their view for a very long time, which is why they tried to take those guns away from people like, you know, Martin Luther King. 0.97

00:39:12.620 Right. 0.97

00:39:13.300 So wait a minute. 0.97

00:39:14.040 Why didn't they trust blacks with guns? 1.00

00:39:16.960 Because it's not like they just they're crazy. 1.00

00:39:20.920 They can't figure out how a gun works.

00:39:24.300 They'll take over everything.

00:39:26.560 It was none of that. 0.97

00:39:27.460 It was that it would empower blacks. 0.75

00:39:32.420 They wouldn't be pushed around anymore.

00:39:35.360 The reason why Martin Luther King, what he was a gun owner, but he wanted a concealed carry permit and to get all sheriff down there.

00:39:46.480 Say, well, you know what, Mr. King?

00:39:48.680 I think we'd do better if you know a SWAT people here who are hosing your people down in the streets.

00:39:55.900 We'd take care and protect you for your own.

00:39:59.360 Now, did he do that?

00:40:00.260 Because pardon me?

00:40:02.000 It's for his own protection, of course.

00:40:05.020 Exactly right.

00:40:06.000 And that's what they said.

00:40:07.360 And that's what they said. 0.98

00:40:08.460 That is the history of blacks not owning guns, always taken or prevented because these black blacks are going to, you know what they're going to do. 1.00

00:40:21.360 They're just going to start telling us, thinking they can tell us what to do. 0.98

00:40:24.620 That's what she's blaming on current Republicans. 0.53

00:40:29.780 It's always Democrats.

00:40:32.300 Yeah.

00:40:32.900 Always Democrats.

00:40:34.220 Let's come up with a mythical gun control policy here. 0.99

00:40:37.280 That's unconstitutional, but let's just entertain it anyway.

00:40:40.060 How about a policy where, you know, people walking down the street, you just walk up to them and you just start searching them for guns with no reason just to do it on the street whenever you want to see if they happen to have guns.

00:40:52.440 And if they do, then you can just prosecute the laws that already exist.

00:40:55.700 There's a gun control policy that's obviously unconstitutional, but you could theoretically implement and would get guns off the street and would get illegal guns off the street.

00:41:05.640 Well, that policy is called stop and frisk, and that policy was in place in New York.

00:41:11.160 And how did the Democrats react to that policy?

00:41:14.340 They didn't seem to like it all that much.

00:41:16.480 They seem to think that due process was taken away largely from people of color.

00:41:21.380 And in fact, all of these laws that they want to put in would hit that community much harder than it would hit white kids in the suburbs who are depressed and playing video games.

00:41:33.860 Let me see if I have this right.

00:41:36.620 What you're saying is business as usual for the Democrats.
