00:00:00.000 Hey, welcome to Thursday's podcast. Day after the debate, we had a lot going on, a lot to talk about, and a way to approach your friends, a new goal.
00:00:11.140 We have a footprint every month of this podcast, broadcast, our website, the Blaze TV.
00:00:19.120 We have a footprint of about 50 million Americans every single month.
00:00:22.980 I want you to pick one person that you think is on the fence and is open-minded, and I want you to start talking to them about the truth and use only the best sources.
00:00:37.820 Don't go conspiracy or anything else. Use their own words.
00:00:42.580 We'll give you some examples of, oh, those refined people, the Klan.
00:00:47.780 No, that's not what he said, and we'll show you what he said.
00:00:50.540 If you can't trust them on that, a lie that they keep saying, all of the media, for four years now, and they know the truth.
00:00:58.760 They edited that tape.
00:01:01.040 If you can't trust them on that, what can you trust them on?
00:01:04.320 I urge you to pick one person. We talk about that and so much more on today's broadcast.
00:01:16.000 You're listening to The Best of the Glenn Beck Program.
00:01:20.540 Senator Harris.
00:01:24.960 People, Susan, are voting right now.
00:01:26.740 They'd like to know if you and Joe Biden are going to pack the Supreme Court if you don't get your way in this nomination.
00:01:33.420 Let's talk about that.
00:01:34.780 Are you willing to tell the American people tonight whether or not you will support either ending the filibuster or packing the court?
00:01:42.600 Whatever position I take in that, that'll become the issue.
00:01:45.000 Would you seek to increase the number of U.S. Supreme Court nominees?
00:01:48.420 You know, that's exactly what they want me to talk about.
00:01:53.460 Will you go along with what some Democrats are proposing to expand the court?
00:01:58.160 What I'm not going to do, and I hope you'll understand, is play the president's game.
00:02:02.420 Do you support the idea of packing the court?
00:02:04.800 I'm not dodging the question.
00:02:06.280 What I'm doing is staying focused.
00:02:07.760 If I answer the question, no matter which way I answer it, then that becomes the headline tomorrow.
00:02:15.180 It's with any.
00:02:16.520 Any.
00:02:17.020 I know.
00:02:17.460 I know.
00:02:17.900 Issue.
00:02:18.260 I am not, and I know you're going to be upset with my answer, but what I'm not going to do is play the Trump game.
00:02:28.220 Should the Supreme Court be expanded?
00:02:30.660 You know what, let's, I think that, first of all, Joe's been very clear.
00:02:34.580 Senator Harris, should Democrats try to pack the court next year?
00:02:39.680 Is that an idea that you're willing to think about?
00:02:42.580 We are 35 days away from an election that is probably the most important election of our lifetime.
00:02:49.120 That couldn't be a more important question.
00:02:50.920 His answer on court packing, adding more justices to the court, just sounds like a straight-up dodge.
00:02:55.260 Why won't he talk about what he wants to do, what he thinks should happen?
00:03:00.340 Well, I think he's very clear.
00:03:03.180 Yeah, he's very clear that he won't answer the question.
00:03:05.540 He's very clear on that.
00:03:06.520 He won't answer the question.
00:03:08.220 And it is something that only FDR has tried.
00:03:14.040 We've never had more than nine Supreme Court justices.
00:03:18.400 We've had as few as five.
00:03:19.640 Yeah.
00:03:19.960 As many as nine.
00:03:20.920 Right.
00:03:21.440 So we've never had more.
00:03:22.700 They want to pack the court.
00:03:25.160 So they want to add more justices so they can get their way.
00:03:30.300 And the media is going along with it.
00:03:34.660 They're starting to make the argument for them.
00:03:37.540 You know, she said last night, oh, I'm glad you want to talk about packing.
00:03:41.120 Let's talk about packing.
00:03:43.240 She didn't finish that.
00:03:45.320 What was she going to say?
00:03:47.020 She is there going to make the case after the election that Donald Trump packed the lower courts.
00:03:54.960 He didn't.
00:03:56.240 He just filled the open slots.
00:03:59.220 That's his job.
00:04:00.640 He didn't pack it.
00:04:02.700 He just filled the open slots.
00:04:05.600 They're not going to fill the open slots.
00:04:07.200 He didn't add more justices than there were before.
00:04:10.180 No.
00:04:10.740 And, you know, I am.
00:04:12.300 I'm so sick and tired of being called the party of fear.
00:04:16.700 We're not scaring you into vote.
00:04:19.680 If you if you if you honestly look at things, honestly look at things when you're talking about an end to the filibuster, when you're talking about changing voting rules while the election is going on, when you're talking about an insurrection, which they are in their own words, insurrection and riots or protests.
00:04:42.400 Peaceful protests.
00:04:43.400 After the election, they're talking about packing the court, they're talking about cutting California up into several states.
00:04:53.000 So they can have more senators and more representatives that lean or are progressive and then adding to states all within the first 100 days.
00:05:04.880 Those are their plans.
00:05:06.080 If you don't see that the republic, as you know, it is at stake, then you're never going to see it.
00:05:13.960 You're never going to see it.
00:05:15.420 But that's not fear mongering.
00:05:17.460 That's telling you the truth.
00:05:19.160 If you have a pre-existing condition, heart disease, diabetes, breast cancer, they're coming for you.
00:05:34.560 Oh, my gosh.
00:05:36.260 They're coming for you.
00:05:38.200 Wow.
00:05:38.840 She kept saying they're coming for you.
00:05:41.380 If you want a job and you're 20 something in college, they're coming for you.
00:05:49.160 Mike Pence, cut 16, please.
00:05:53.740 Mike Pence finally said this, and he said it several times on several facts that she laid out.
00:06:04.120 And again, Senator Harris, you're entitled to your opinion.
00:06:07.260 You're not entitled to your own facts.
00:06:08.780 When Joe Biden was vice president, we lost 200,000 manufacturing jobs.
00:06:13.960 And President Obama said they were never coming back.
00:06:16.160 He said we needed a magic wand to bring them back.
00:06:18.240 In our first three years after we cut taxes, rollback regulation, unleashed American energy, this administration saw 500,000 manufacturing jobs created.
00:06:28.420 And that's exactly the kind of growth we're going to continue to see as we bring our nation through this pandemic.
00:06:34.080 It was amazing to me to have them talk about this.
00:06:38.540 And the whole time, she's shaking her head like he's lying.
00:06:41.560 Yeah.
00:06:41.940 Those are verifiable facts.
00:06:42.580 She did that every time.
00:06:43.820 Every time.
00:06:44.140 Verifiable facts.
00:06:45.880 Verifiable facts.
00:06:47.500 Back to the scaring you.
00:06:50.220 They're scaring you that Donald Trump is not going to be able to bring the economy back.
00:06:54.400 Which one do you believe?
00:06:57.640 The guy who did it once or the guy who has been in government for, what, 50 years and has never really done it, never created a job and was part of the administration that did everything they could to tell you, you'll never get ahead.
00:07:16.940 It will never get better.
00:07:19.360 Which one do you trust?
00:07:21.580 Which one has the record?
00:07:25.080 They're trying to make you afraid and they're trying to say that we're the fear mongers.
00:07:29.900 Well, finally, Mike Pence had enough on the COVID vaccine where she said, I won't.
00:07:38.800 If Donald Trump tells me to get a vaccine, I won't get a vaccine.
00:07:42.660 If the doctors do.
00:07:44.520 Well, why do you think Donald Trump's going to tell you to get a vaccine?
00:07:47.380 That the FDA hasn't come out and said this is a good vaccine, that they're they're suddenly just going and dumping all of this vaccine on that hasn't been approved by doctors and the FDA.
00:08:00.600 It's a ridiculous argument.
00:08:02.360 It is to so fear that Donald Trump is somehow or another dangerous.
00:08:07.760 Cut five, please.
00:08:10.380 I would like to go back.
00:08:12.320 I think we need to move on.
00:08:14.080 Well, thank you, but I would like to go back because the reality is that we're going to have a vaccine, Senator, in record time, in unheard of time, in less than a year.
00:08:25.280 We have five companies in phase three clinical trials, and we're right now producing tens of millions of doses.
00:08:32.580 So the fact that you continue to undermine public confidence in a vaccine, if the vaccine emerges during the Trump administration, I think is is unconscionable.
00:08:44.780 And, Senator, I just ask you, stop playing politics with people's lives.
00:08:50.800 The reality is that we will have a vaccine, we believe, before the end of this year,
00:08:55.780 and it will have the capacity to save countless American lives.
00:09:00.760 And your continuous undermining of confidence in a vaccine is just it's just unacceptable.
00:09:09.420 He did so well last night.
00:09:11.540 So well.
00:09:12.440 Here's here's Kamala Harris on another lie.
00:09:16.020 Because they know the press will not correct it, they lied over and over and over again about what the president has said about racism and everything else.
00:09:31.420 Here they are.
00:09:32.240 Now, I want you to remember that Trump calling the veterans losers or suckers.
00:09:38.200 That was completely false, including John Bolton, who, you know, has no love for the president.
00:09:47.380 He wrote an anti-Trump book.
00:09:49.740 He was there.
00:09:51.220 He said it was an outrageous lie.
00:09:53.280 It never happened.
00:09:55.900 But because the media is in bed, she did it again.
00:10:00.220 Cut 21.
00:10:02.100 But you mentioned Soleimani.
00:10:03.680 Let's let's start there.
00:10:04.680 So after the strike on Soleimani, there was a counter strike on our troops in Iraq.
00:10:14.760 And they suffered serious brain injuries.
00:10:20.160 And do you know what Donald Trump dismissed them as?
00:10:22.680 Headaches.
00:10:23.960 And this is about a pattern of Donald Trump's where he has referred to our men who are serving in our military as suckers and losers.
00:10:33.640 Oh, my God.
00:10:34.680 Donald Trump.
00:10:35.500 It's unbelievable.
00:10:36.120 Who went to Arlington Cemetery.
00:10:38.300 Unbelievable.
00:10:39.160 And stood above the graves of our fallen heroes.
00:10:44.520 OK, I'm not going to give it any more airtime.
00:10:47.300 It's absolutely a lie.
00:10:49.980 Here's Mike Pence.
00:10:50.940 Cut 22.
00:10:52.800 The slanders against President Donald Trump regarding men and women of our armed forces are absurd.
00:10:59.840 I'm sorry, Vice President Pence.
00:11:01.360 My son is a captain in the United States Marine Corps.
00:11:03.960 My son-in-law is deployed in the United States Navy.
00:11:07.240 I can assure all of you, with sons and daughters serving in our military, President Donald Trump not only respects but reveres all of those who serve in our armed forces.
00:11:16.820 And any suggestion otherwise is ridiculous.
00:11:19.640 Thank you, Vice President Pence.
00:11:20.980 Finally, finally.
00:11:25.520 And let me leave you one more time with this.
00:11:31.640 Give me Kamala on fracking.
00:11:38.780 Here it is.
00:11:39.500 Cut 13.
00:11:40.360 I will repeat, and the American people know, that Joe Biden will not ban fracking.
00:11:48.660 That is a fact.
00:11:50.580 That is a fact.
00:11:51.880 OK, stop.
00:11:52.780 I will.
00:11:53.160 That is a fact.
00:11:54.780 That is a fact.
00:11:57.260 Here's Joe Biden on fracking.
00:12:00.420 Would there be any place for fossil fuels, including coal and fracking, in a Biden administration?
00:12:07.460 No, we would work it out.
00:12:09.720 We would make sure it's eliminated and no more subsidies for either one of those.
00:12:14.280 Either any fossil fuel.
00:12:16.300 Hmm.
00:12:16.940 It's a fact.
00:12:18.460 It's a fact.
00:12:19.960 Jeez.
00:12:20.560 If I can show you where she said these are fact and look you straight in the eye.
00:12:30.320 If I can show you just that.
00:12:34.600 How do you trust them with anything?
00:12:36.620 How do you trust them with rebuilding the economy?
00:12:40.780 When we know they believe in the new Marxist philosophies.
00:12:46.760 When we know the people behind, read their website.
00:12:52.320 Don't listen to me.
00:12:54.100 Read their website about the Green New Deal.
00:12:57.440 The Green New Deal has nothing, nothing to do with the environment.
00:13:05.000 Nothing.
00:13:05.340 It is a whole makeover of our economy to where the government controls the economy.
00:13:13.400 You don't believe me.
00:13:16.600 You don't believe me.
00:13:19.760 Believe their website.
00:13:22.220 You must.
00:13:23.900 I want you to find, I want you to find one friend, one, one person.
00:13:36.880 Don't worry about anybody else.
00:13:38.380 One person in the next four weeks.
00:13:40.640 And I want you to talk to them peacefully, calmly.
00:13:46.340 Somebody who is just on the fence.
00:13:48.920 One person.
00:13:51.860 This broadcast has a monthly footprint of 50 million Americans.
00:13:58.300 That's between our website and everything else.
00:14:00.940 50 million Americans.
00:14:02.680 If everyone in this audience convinced one person of what the truth is, that's a third of the population.
00:14:16.660 If 5 million people did it, one person, you convince them to go and vote.
00:14:26.280 That's enough to completely overturn any election.
00:14:31.700 If assuming that Donald Trump is going to get the same number of people that he had last time, if you can add 10 million people to that, there's no way they can win.
00:14:44.800 You're smart enough to do it.
00:14:47.220 And you may know right now who that person is.
00:14:50.480 Don't go for the hardest one.
00:14:52.340 Don't go for the one in your family who's just not going to listen.
00:14:54.980 Don't.
00:14:55.520 Stop.
00:14:56.040 Stop.
00:14:56.460 One person who will look at the truth.
00:15:02.680 Who will say, you can take them to their website.
00:15:05.840 Don't take them to any conspiracy stuff.
00:15:07.740 Don't take them even to me.
00:15:09.980 Take them to their own words.
00:15:13.460 Who do you trust?
00:15:14.640 If you are ready for some really great news, keep listening.
00:15:19.240 Built Bar is back, and it is unbelievable.
00:15:22.420 If you've been listening to my show this year, I love Built Bars.
00:15:26.080 It's an all-American story.
00:15:27.340 This is a client I asked to be on the show because I didn't listen to my wife again.
00:15:30.500 And she's been telling me about it, but it has a protein bar on it.
00:15:33.340 And those always taste like a doormat.
00:15:36.240 This is unbelievable.
00:15:38.260 The mint brownie flavor?
00:15:39.880 Oh, yes, baby.
00:15:40.720 It is life-changing.
00:15:41.960 The new bars taste better than ever.
00:15:44.660 In addition to the 12 original flavors, Built Bar just added cookies and cream, carrot cake, caramel brownie, lemon almond cheesecake, apple almond crisp.

00:16:18.360 The best of the Glenn Beck program.
00:16:31.040 This is the Glenn Beck program.
00:16:33.280 Just on a personal note, one of my real mentors, one of the men who I just has taught me so much, Russell M. Ballard.
00:16:46.460 It's his, what is he, 93 today?
00:16:51.620 Wow.
00:16:52.100 It's his birthday.
00:16:52.480 No, he's 92 today.
00:16:53.500 92.
00:16:54.080 92.
00:16:54.300 This guy is amazing and still full of life.
00:16:57.780 And I met him 15 years ago.
00:16:59.980 And he's really kind of a spiritual advisor of mine.
00:17:04.500 And he, when I first met him, I had so many questions.
00:17:09.160 I was at CNN.
00:17:09.720 And I was finding all kinds of stuff.
00:17:11.940 And I really wanted some spiritual guidance.
00:17:14.020 And I said, so this is what I found.
00:17:16.040 What do I do?
00:17:16.620 He stopped me in mid-sentence and said, stop.
00:17:21.180 Don't ask me or anyone else ever again what you should do with your calling.
00:17:28.320 That is between you and God and anything that I might say could take you off half a degree.
00:17:37.420 And that's not close enough for God.
00:17:39.980 So don't ever ask anyone again, what should I do?
00:17:47.800 And I have to tell you, I thought that, I thought that was amazing.
00:17:52.420 We are all, we all have a right to hear for our life directly from God.
00:18:03.380 And happy birthday, Russell Ballard.
00:18:07.280 Dinesh D'Souza is joining us now with his take on the debate last night.
00:18:12.340 He's got a documentary out called The Trump Card, available on DVD right now.
00:18:16.780 And it was just released a couple of days ago and headed toward Video on Demand on the 9th of this month.
00:18:24.760 He's also going to be on the Friday exclusive to talk about The Trump Card.
00:18:28.180 That's the show that I do on Fridays just for Blaze supporters.
00:18:33.260 It's a great show.
00:18:34.300 And I can't wait to have him on to talk about that.
00:18:36.780 Dinesh, what did you think last night?
00:18:40.080 Well, it was an interesting debate to watch.
00:18:42.700 Obviously, a big contrast from the presidential debate.
00:18:45.880 That was a mud fight, an MMA fight.
00:18:48.520 This was kind of more like a fencing match with two kind of adroit fencers dancing around and trying to score points.
00:18:55.500 I thought Harris was evasive throughout.
00:18:58.640 I think it's interesting that the left, although they claim that their policies on fracking and guns and taxes have enormous public support,
00:19:06.780 whenever they're called in front of the American people to answer for them, they run away.
00:19:10.660 They go, no, no, no, we don't really support those policies.
00:19:13.160 So it was a little bit of a fleeing match for Harris, I thought.
00:19:17.900 Well, she didn't.
00:19:18.700 You know, what's strange is they're not denying those things this time.
00:19:23.520 They're just not admitting it.
00:19:25.680 You know, they're on record.
00:19:27.200 Their own website says it.
00:19:28.700 And they won't come out now at the end and admit it.
00:19:31.780 But they also won't deny you're going to pack the court.
00:19:33.960 The answer to that is no, no.
00:19:38.700 OK, but I think the reason the reason they can't say no is that their whole strategy, Glenn, I think, is to do all these bendings of the rules because they believe that we are the party of the nice guys and we won't do the same.
00:19:53.640 So their idea is we'll knock down your monuments.
00:19:56.220 We know you won't knock down our monuments.
00:19:58.220 We will use the deep state against you.
00:20:00.180 We know you won't use the deep state against us.
00:20:02.540 We will pack the court.
00:20:03.800 We know that even if you control all the branches of government, you wouldn't do the same.
00:20:07.620 So ultimately, that's the way in which they take advantage, if you will, of our innocence or our virtue in order to try to play dirty.
00:20:15.220 That's their game.
00:20:16.020 Dinesh, if you didn't have poll numbers, what would you say is going to happen in November?
00:20:26.160 If I didn't look at the polls, I would say that Biden is going to be destroyed in November because, to me, any understanding I have of the common sense of the American people is that the Dems have gone way too far.
00:20:40.600 This condoning of lawlessness, the promiscuity of their spending policies, the degree to which they have pushed towards socialism, I think it's out of line with the American character.
00:20:52.960 So the polls give me pause because I think we always have to distinguish what we want to happen from what is going to happen.
00:21:00.040 But nevertheless, but nevertheless, my instinct is that Trump, we're not going to need a recount or a court decision that Trump will actually win several states that he didn't even win the last time.
00:21:10.600 So I agree with you, but the only other option is that the America that you have extolled and love, the America that I know, the one that based on the founders, the one that we don't believe is racist, we do believe in opportunity for all, we do believe in the free market, we do believe in the police and our military, we do stand for the national anthem.
00:21:36.860 That America is over if we're wrong.
00:21:43.060 Would you agree?
00:21:44.720 I would agree.
00:21:46.160 And in that case, I would propose the following solution, which is essentially that we create these sort of, you could almost call them militarized zones, but I don't want to emphasize the word militarized.
00:21:56.080 I just mean that we exit their culture.
00:21:59.120 And by that, I mean, we create our own schools, our own movies, our own entertainment.
00:22:04.240 We live in our own society, which we care and we protect fiercely that domain.
00:22:09.320 We just refuse to live in their world right now.
00:22:12.060 Their idea is that we get a political majority.
00:22:14.120 We're going to force you to live in our world by our rules and submit to us or else.
00:22:19.720 So I think we just have to decline that option.
00:22:22.160 It's a certain kind of cultural secession within America, but they won't do that if if they have the filibusters gone, they pack the courts.
00:22:32.440 You won't be able to do that.
00:22:34.080 I mean, it really is secession at that point.
00:22:37.300 And that's something that they are actually planning.
00:22:40.260 You know, if Trump wins by a landslide in their own war games and their own words that are published on their website, they are talking about the secession of the West Coast.
00:22:53.080 Well, when Abraham Lincoln gave his very famous speech against secession, this is the first inaugural address.
00:22:59.260 It contained a very important exception.
00:23:01.900 Lincoln basically said, show me if I have violated any of your basic constitutional rights.
00:23:07.860 The implication being that if Lincoln had done that, if he had prevented, let's say, the South from voting or free assembly or exercising free speech,
00:23:16.660 Lincoln's implicit point was then you would have a right to secede.
00:23:19.660 But Lincoln's point was I've just been elected.
00:23:21.760 I've done absolutely nothing.
00:23:23.520 So you're just seceding because I won the election.
00:23:26.800 So I think it's important to realize that secession has never been ruled out completely in the American sort of philosophical statesmanship.
00:23:34.140 It remains a possibility if basic rights are violated.
00:23:38.460 And I don't have a problem.
00:23:41.220 I mean, if people want to secede, I really don't have a I really don't have a problem.
00:23:45.740 Just don't come to my I want a wall around my state, because if we're not going to do any of these progressive policies and you say yours are going to work,
00:23:54.780 I can guarantee you that you are going to fail and then you will blame it on us.
00:24:00.640 So I don't want anything to do with it.
00:24:02.860 You know what I mean?
00:24:04.460 Yeah.
00:24:05.060 Yeah.
00:24:05.300 The Democrats keep emphasizing that they're going to be the party of unity.
00:24:08.520 But I think they know how hollow that sounds, because they have no intention of meeting us halfway or creating any kind of accommodation with us.
00:24:16.340 They mean that they want to unify against us.
00:24:19.200 And I think we've figured that out.
00:24:21.120 And all of this means that these are problems that will outlast Trump, whether or not Trump wins.
00:24:26.080 We're going to have to figure out how we can coexist with citizens when we no longer agree on goals.
00:24:31.740 But is that because, you know, I found a I found a speech from Abraham Lincoln and I read it yesterday, and I just want to give you this paragraph at the beginning.
00:24:41.600 They knew they could never raise their treason to any respectable magnitude by any name that implies violation of law.
00:24:49.020 They knew their people possessed as much moral sense as and devotion to law and order and as much pride and reverence for the history of government in their in our common country as any other civilized
00:25:01.740 and patriotic people.
00:25:02.780 They knew they could make no advancement directly into the teeth of these noble sentiments.
00:25:09.020 Accordingly, they commenced on an insidious debauching of the public mind.
00:25:13.900 They invented an ingenious sophism, which, if conceded, was followed by perfectly logical steps.
00:25:21.640 They have been drugging the private mind or the public mind of their section for more than 30 years.
00:25:33.320 That's that could be written and said today.
00:25:37.280 Yes, except I agree, Glenn, except I would add something that makes our situation a little bit worse.
00:25:43.460 And here's what it is.
00:25:44.560 In the 1850s and leading up to the Civil War, both sides revered the Constitution.
00:25:50.880 The Southerners claimed the legacy of Washington and Jefferson.
00:25:54.340 And so both sides were arguing within the constitutional framework.
00:25:58.280 But now we have one side that burns the flag and won't stand up for the national anthem and, in a sense, rejects the authority of the Constitution to be the sort of literal arbiter of these disputes.
00:26:10.780 So we're not now arguing about what the Constitution means.
00:26:14.480 We're arguing about whether we should consult the Constitution at all.
00:26:19.740 So how does a public live like that?
00:26:23.420 Because you no longer have the unum.
00:26:25.300 Our unum, e pluribus unum, was always life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness.
00:26:31.420 Government is instituted among men to protect those rights.
00:26:34.480 The Constitution, the Bill of Rights.
00:26:36.420 When you say, throw all that out, you can't live side by side with somebody who says you don't have those rights.
00:26:46.460 At the very least, what we can do is we can introduce on the other side the same kind of healthy fear that we have of them.
00:26:54.520 And that would mean that they would realize that if they did certain things to us, we would either do the same to them or we would make sure that they paid a price for it.
00:27:03.120 So, for example, just to take a small example, as long as Antifa guys can break windows with impunity, they're going to keep breaking windows.
00:27:10.700 The moment a guy gets arrested and is looking at a one-year lockup for doing that, lots of his buddies go, well, probably we won't go break a window tomorrow.
00:27:18.880 So once we start imposing that healthy fear that comes from, listen, I can't engage in actions without consequences anymore,
00:27:26.720 then it introduces an element of pause and you go, well, maybe I should learn to get along with the other guy.
00:27:31.680 So what happens if Donald Trump doesn't win and they start throttling people like you and me, and you know they will, they will silence our voices.
00:27:44.400 We may have our dot-com, but we will not be Google, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter.
00:27:52.040 We won't have the public square anymore.
00:27:55.400 Once that starts to happen, doesn't that shut up a lot of people who are weak-kneed?
00:27:59.580 There's no question that they will try, if they win, to treat the sort of Trump stain as a kind of ugly mark on the American landscape.
00:28:10.260 They will try to do everything to demonize not just Trump, but everybody associated with Trump.
00:28:15.540 They'll try to make sure something like this doesn't happen again.
00:28:18.520 Well, this means, I think, that we might have to flee to our own platforms.
00:28:23.480 We may have to do the kind of building we should have done in advance.
00:28:26.900 I mean, we're the party of entrepreneurship.
00:28:29.160 It's a little embarrassing that all these major entrepreneurial platforms, from Facebook to Instagram to Twitter, are all controlled by leftists.
00:28:37.680 We need to build our own.
00:28:39.080 I'm taking sort of small steps in this direction already.
00:28:41.780 You are probably as well.
00:28:43.480 But yes, long term, I don't think we can survive with this big sword of Damocles hanging over our heads.
00:28:48.820 Last question.
00:28:54.360 Well, actually, I have two questions.
00:28:56.960 Will anyone's mind be changed from last night?
00:29:00.380 If you were watching that and you were educated by CNN, CNN said, you know, 20 percentage points she won by.
00:29:09.900 Did this change anyone's mind?
00:29:11.780 You know, we're living at a time when the polls, like the media, have a stake in the outcome.
00:29:21.640 And in fact, we see this with the moderator, too.
00:29:23.720 Look at the discrepancy in questions.
00:29:25.540 To the Republican, it's always, how can you believe?
00:29:27.940 Or can you explain?
00:29:29.500 But to the Democrats, it's always more like, will you explain?
00:29:32.600 So there's a complete difference of tone and approach.
00:29:35.560 And I think you have to be a dummy not to see that.
00:29:38.200 So once you realize that this is an unlevel playing field, then I think people can privately make their own conclusions.
00:29:45.800 Last question.
00:29:46.820 Should the president engage in a debate that is virtual?
00:29:52.780 I think yes, as an alternative to not debating at all.
00:29:56.940 Even though there's no question that this virtual debate is a bit of a fake.
00:30:01.180 It's more like a TV show than a real debate.
00:30:03.680 But it still might be better than not debating at all.
00:30:06.460 Right.
00:30:06.940 Dinesh D'Souza, thank you so much.
00:30:08.860 We'll talk to you again on Friday.
00:30:14.920 This is the best of the Glenn Beck program.
00:30:16.840 And we really want to thank you for listening.
00:30:18.540 Catherine Engelbrecht, she is the founder and president of True the Vote, an organization that is trying to make sure that our vote is secure and that our vote counts and dead people's vote don't count.
00:30:44.740 Or people that don't exist, their votes don't count.
00:30:48.420 Welcome to the program again, Catherine.
00:30:50.680 How are you?
00:30:52.380 Thanks for having me back, Ben.
00:30:54.020 You bet.
00:30:54.420 I really appreciate you coming on.
00:30:57.260 I watch you every day because this is happening all over the country.
00:31:03.540 We've talked about Pennsylvania.
00:31:05.400 We talked about Montana.
00:31:06.960 We should know something you said yesterday by today.
00:31:09.940 Do we know anything yet?
00:31:10.840 Has anything changed?
00:31:11.740 Not yet.
00:31:13.100 Not yet.
00:31:13.740 So still keep in watch.
00:31:14.960 OK, so where do you want to go today?
00:31:18.800 What do you want to talk about today?
00:31:20.280 What state or I know there's Ballotpedia out, which do you have anything to do with that?
00:31:27.940 No, except we use it as a reference.
00:31:30.100 It's very difficult to wrap your arms around all the changes.
00:31:34.240 And Ballotpedia is a great website.
00:31:37.020 Ballotpedia, P-E-D-I-A dot com.
00:31:39.840 And they have kept a running list of election law changes and lawsuits filed.
00:31:47.000 It's not a fully comprehensive list because there are over 350 suits and fiats.
00:31:54.040 But it's good.
00:31:55.320 It's really a good spot for people to see it.
00:31:58.920 And frankly, that's increasingly been our message.
00:32:03.140 You know, we have a section on our website just called Call Your County.
00:32:08.360 When you have an issue, when you have a question, call your county and we give people their election administrator information.
00:32:15.720 And it's in keeping with that Ballotpedia line.
00:32:18.680 It's just see it for yourself.
00:32:20.380 Get involved and understand how messed up this really is.
00:32:24.620 But Ballotpedia has hundreds of lawsuits and you can see it for yourself.
00:32:28.300 So I'm looking at it and it's overwhelming how much is being done.
00:32:35.860 I talked to Donald Trump Jr. last night and I really could sense from him how overwhelmed the campaign is.
00:32:50.800 They have fires all the way around them.
00:32:54.360 And just trying to keep up to speed on what was happening in each state was exactly what the leftists always try to do.
00:33:06.100 And that's overwhelm the system.
00:33:07.780 Overwhelm.
00:33:08.340 Right.
00:33:08.580 Absolutely.
00:33:09.300 So this this court case that's supposed to come out today, we should know something about it.
00:33:15.300 Can you just recap that for anybody who missed yesterday?
00:33:18.080 Sure.
00:33:19.940 So amidst the sea of lawsuits that have happened over the course of these past few months related to the fog of covid and the opportunity that has been taken to upend election standards.
00:33:31.100 There was a case that came up in Montana that we jumped into where the governor, who is also running for Senate, decided to change the laws in his favor as a candidate for Senate and make the whole state go into a mail in optional standard where counties could just decide whether or not to send unsolicited mail ballots.
00:33:53.360 And so it was under that premise, which is unconstitutional, by the way, that approach is unconstitutional.
00:33:58.420 So we sued the state, we sued the governor, but but more importantly, was the trajectory that that case then took on and and and flash forward.
00:34:07.980 Here we are today.
00:34:09.060 The case is is we hope will be considered by the Supreme Court.
00:34:13.360 It's on their docket to let us know whether or not they'll consider it.
00:34:16.060 And the goal is twofold. The first is with respect to Montana to get an immediate injunction to stop that state from being able to have optional unsolicited mail ballots go across the state.
00:34:29.640 Uh, that deadline is today. So it's, it's, uh, you know, we're, we're here at the precipice, but the second piece is, is really the crux of, of, of, of the, of the bigger picture.
00:34:41.000 And that is we are asking the court to use that case to set a standard for many of the hundreds of other cases that have, that have been formed up, um, unconstitutionally.
00:34:54.700 And we're saying court consider this. If a, if a, if a case has not met the constitutional standard, then set that as the bar.
00:35:05.440 That is a way to begin to organize these cases because to your point, Glenn, it is intentional overwhelm.
00:35:14.500 They are going to tie up the courts to run out the clock, to push this election into the house.
00:35:19.700 That is the play. So another thing that go ahead, go ahead, go ahead.
00:35:25.740 I was just going to say another thing you may not know about in my mind.
00:35:28.260 Interesting is that, you know, it's how did we, how do we find ourselves here?
00:35:32.900 And why is the Republican party nationally so ill prepared?
00:35:37.960 And there's a reason for that. In the early eighties, 1982, there was a lawsuit between the Republican party and the Democrat party,
00:35:46.000 where the Democrats sued the Republicans over what they alleged was vote caging and so forth.
00:35:50.880 Well, rather than fight that out, the Republicans settled in a consent decree that is known as the New Jersey consent decree.
00:35:59.780 The New Jersey consent decree settlement required that the Republicans not spend any monies towards ballot security at the national level.
00:36:11.720 That that that that was in place nationally until 2017.
00:36:17.840 It just expired.
00:36:20.640 And although it didn't prevent local counties or states from doing anything, I mean, there was no national leadership.
00:36:27.000 And so and so for this entire time, there has been no ballot security plan on the right.
00:36:36.060 And a lot has happened in these decades.
00:36:38.800 What state are you most worried about?
00:36:45.960 Or states?
00:36:49.900 That's well, you have the you have the the lens of the traditional battleground states.
00:36:56.600 And you can look at Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.
00:36:59.680 Wisconsin is a mess for a lot of reasons, one of which is that they have same day voter registration.
00:37:06.220 So you can walk in, register and vote in the same day.
00:37:09.660 There's no way in real time to validate identity, residency or citizenship.
00:37:14.320 And so that's a story unto itself.
00:37:17.800 Then you have, you know, in Pennsylvania, where you're seeing they're getting rid of signature standards for their mail ins.
00:37:27.700 You know, they've already been over five and a half million votes cast.
00:37:31.580 That is over 70 times more at the same point in 2016.
00:37:37.260 We're 70 times more.
00:37:39.120 It's it's coming.
00:37:41.340 And there's another issue.
00:37:43.360 I know I'm a little disjointed, but this is important.
00:37:45.480 And you have such an important platform.
00:37:47.340 We are getting reports.
00:37:48.560 We got just another one just came in from South Carolina where early elections have already started.
00:37:53.840 And a voter wrote in to us.
00:37:55.840 We have on our Web site a place that you can report issues and concerns and we'll get right back to you as is appropriate.
00:38:02.800 But they wrote in and said they had gone to go vote.
00:38:06.780 And when they got there early to vote, they were told that they couldn't because they had received absentee ballots.
00:38:13.920 But they hadn't.
00:38:14.940 They hadn't requested an absentee ballot, nor had they received absentee ballots.
00:38:18.600 And so the they're the cure of that is to go to the to your county official and ask that if a ballot was sent to you, it be canceled so that you be allowed to vote in person, which changes through the votes position on what we've been saying all along.
00:38:37.140 We've been saying vote in person on Election Day, and now we are saying vote in person early to account for extra time you might need if you get there and are told, well, we've already mailed you a ballot.
00:38:50.240 Now, there are there are ways that that can that could be remedied at the polling place.
00:38:54.040 But the people that are working at the polls don't necessarily know all of the ins and the outs.
00:38:59.480 So you just need to have more time to vote in person.
00:39:02.320 I'm hopeful that that won't happen often, but it's going to happen because it's unavoidable.
00:39:06.780 Gosh, I mean, Catherine, this is I mean, this this is there's not going to be anyone who believes in this vote one way or another.
00:39:18.160 They're just not going to believe it.
00:39:19.540 I mean, this we lose our faith in this last institution that my voice counts.
00:39:27.120 I mean, we've known that fraud goes on, but generally speaking, we have felt pretty decent about going to vote.
00:39:33.960 If you feel disenfranchised at the at the polling booth because the Democrats have changed the rules and no, we sent it out to you.
00:39:45.340 No. Well, I didn't get it.
00:39:47.100 It's it's not going to end well.
00:39:49.560 It's just not going to end well.
00:39:51.480 I completely agree.
00:39:55.440 The one the one the one piece of this that we can hold to, though, is that if we can.
00:40:02.820 This has been marginalized in a way that I would I would submit to you is a is a is a game between between bureaucrats and politicos and power brokers and has very little to do with the hearts and minds of the of the everyday American who doesn't want this to end in this way, that doesn't want this to go down in this way.
00:40:26.840 And so while we may lose faith in this process for a season, we can't lose faith in one another.
00:40:32.680 And so go and serve and be a part of this.
00:40:36.140 Bear witness to it and then help on the other side to rebuild it, because that's what's going to have to happen.
00:40:42.480 We have to be in this together to rebuild it.
00:40:45.540 It took a long time to get it to this level of disrepair, but we got to be there to fix it on the other side.
00:40:52.220 Thank you very much, Catherine.
00:40:53.040 We'll talk again.
00:40:54.080 God bless you.
00:40:54.620 You know, it's you have to be engaged in this.
00:40:59.160 The good thing about this is this is not a federal issue.
00:41:02.140 This isn't happening from the federal level.
00:41:04.320 This is happening at your local and state level.
00:41:07.180 The state has control of the election.
00:41:09.740 So if you have a problem, you can fix it on the other on the other side.
00:41:14.960 Unfortunately, I mean, I will tell you if I'm going to find the I'm going to find the illegal defense fund for the for the GOP, because this the litigation, they are already well funded on the left.
00:41:35.860 They already have all of their briefs.
00:41:39.180 I'm the guy who's doing all of these election changes.
00:41:41.900 The guy who is in charge of it is the guy who is in charge of the ballots and the recounts and all that brought us Al Franken.
00:41:50.280 So that is their plan.
00:41:54.400 And they were going to need funds for attorneys, but we're also going to need people that just volunteer their time.
00:42:05.940 And I know that the Trump campaign has started something.
00:42:09.780 What is it called?
00:42:10.380 Trump's army or something like that.
00:42:13.060 Poor choice of names for that.
00:42:14.880 But they're looking for people that have experience that are attorneys or, you know, people that are not going to be shouters.
00:42:27.620 They're going to be minders and they're going to look for evidence, look for what's going on.
00:42:34.280 And then be able to give good evidence when it is needed.
00:42:39.760 If that is you or someone, you know, please get involved.
00:42:45.980 We've got to have people at the polls watching all of this.
