00:00:18.180 We are now BlazeTV.com and we are thrilled, thrilled that we are able now to just all

00:00:25.860 come together and be ourselves and be one of the biggest conservative outlets now in the

00:00:34.040 nation.

00:00:35.020 You can check it out.

00:00:36.020 See for yourself.

00:00:47.300 So do it.

00:00:48.760 All right.

00:00:49.100 On today's podcast, we stop by and talk with Eric Bolling about the president, about the

00:00:55.840 about what happened with China and the G20, but also some real big wins on the border.

00:01:03.100 Also, some sad news about Dick's Sporting Goods.

00:01:07.020 Oh, my gosh.

00:01:07.960 I had a hard time choking back the tears for their sad news at Dick's.

00:01:13.880 Also, the riots in France and so much more all on today's podcast.

00:01:25.840 You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck program.

00:01:32.300 It's Monday, December 3rd.

00:01:34.800 Let me tell you a little bit about Brick House.

00:01:37.920 This is Field of Greens.

00:01:39.820 Now, Field of Greens is a full serving of real certified vegan, vegetarian and USDA organic

00:01:48.180 fruits and vegetables.

00:01:49.360 Now, it has all the antioxidants and it has everything.

00:01:53.000 It's like drinking a salad, except it doesn't taste like drinking a salad.

00:01:58.160 You don't ever have to have your greens, your vegetables, your salad ever again, quite

00:02:02.260 honestly.

00:02:02.960 Now, I don't know if anybody really recommends that, but that's what it's all about.

00:02:07.360 Get your wife off your back. 1.00

00:02:08.880 I'm just saying, I don't have to eat them. 0.69

00:02:27.820 Now, BrickHouseGlenn.com.

00:02:29.500 Glenn Beck.

00:02:31.500 America's 41st president, George H.W. Bush, died Friday evening.

00:02:36.720 He was 94.

00:02:40.320 Bush Sr. has been called one of the most successful one-term presidents in U.S. history.

00:02:47.220 Now, that's a little of a backhand compliment, maybe, but it's probably true.

00:02:53.120 Cold War ended on his watch.

00:02:55.420 Berlin Wall fell on his watch.

00:02:57.840 Soviet Union dissolved.

00:02:59.280 Bush navigated the choppy waters of the massive reshuffling of the world order, and he called for a new world order, which I always thought was a little spooky, but we're going to move on.

00:03:12.700 He signed treaties with Gorbachev, mandating historic reductions in nuclear and chemical weapons.

00:03:18.680 In 1990, he put together a 28-nation coalition that expelled Saddam Hussein's troops from Kuwait.

00:03:27.100 The American-led ground war in Iraq lasted four days.

00:03:32.860 And I never forget hearing him say, the war is over.

00:03:38.640 We're coming home.

00:03:39.680 Americans usually like their presidents, you know, a lot more once they left office, and this is especially true of both of the Bushes.

00:03:49.460 Following eight years of the great communicator, Ronald Reagan, Americans found George Bush kind of bland.

00:03:55.260 He was accused of being out of touch, having no domestic agenda as the economy slumped midway through his presidency.

00:04:02.020 He didn't exactly send thrills up the legs of conservatives.

00:04:05.400 He was the guy who was pushing for ideological agendas that were not necessarily, I mean, read my lips, no new taxes.

00:04:13.680 And yet, America came to miss the sense of calm and normalcy that he brought to the White House.

00:04:22.640 George H.W. Bush's four years in office were the calm before the partisan storm, I guess.

00:04:30.400 His presidency marked the end of an era.

00:04:32.520 He was our last president that served in World War II.

00:04:37.180 And by the time the 92 election rolled around, the shifting political winds seemed to catch Bush by surprise.

00:04:43.740 The telling sign that he didn't appreciate the rising cool factor of his 92 challenger, Bill Clinton,

00:04:50.860 came at one of the debates when Bush seemed bored and at one point even checked his watch.

00:04:55.860 Like, good Lord, how long is this going to go on?

00:04:58.020 It was as if America was checking its watch and realized after 12 straight years of Republicans in the White House,

00:05:06.440 maybe it was time to give this young guy from Arkansas a chance.

00:05:12.660 By today's standards, Bush was way overqualified to be president.

00:05:20.620 He had been a congressman from Texas.

00:05:23.040 He was ambassador to the U.N., chairman of the RNC, U.S. envoy to China, director of the CIA, and vice president under Ronald Reagan.

00:05:31.820 And despite his accomplishments, he declined to write the traditional presidential memoir because he thought it would be too unseemly to write about himself.

00:05:43.880 I met George H.W. Bush a couple of times.

00:05:47.900 I really liked him.

00:05:50.780 He was a good and decent man, calm and sincere, genuine modesty.

00:05:56.980 It seems kind of like a throwback now, doesn't it?

00:06:02.740 And it makes you wonder, with his passing, are we ever going to see a president like that again?

00:06:08.840 He wasn't perfect.

00:06:10.080 He wasn't a saint.

00:06:12.040 But he was a gentleman.

00:06:13.960 He loved his country.

00:06:15.760 And he served it well.

00:06:18.400 At the end of his first year as president, Bush wrote in his diary,

00:06:21.580 I'm certainly not seen as a visionary, but I hope I am seen as a steady and prudent and able man.

00:06:30.560 Today, perhaps, is a good day to recognize how sometimes we just don't appreciate how good we have it until it's gone.

00:06:45.100 It's Monday, December 3rd.

00:06:47.820 This is the Glenn Beck Program.

00:06:49.740 Well, welcome to the program.

00:06:51.760 We're glad you're here.

00:06:52.880 Stu is joining us.

00:06:53.840 He is gracing us with his presence for just a little while.

00:06:58.500 He's got to hop a plane and get to Philadelphia to take his son to another losing game with the Eagles.

00:07:05.300 Another?

00:07:05.580 He's only been to one game, and he's won for one.

00:07:08.040 The Eagles have won the Super Bowl in all the games he's been to.

00:07:10.760 And one-on-one will be good tonight.

00:07:13.060 A good lesson to learn.

00:07:14.080 We may hurt his percentages tonight, yes.

00:07:16.440 Yeah, I'm supposed to be on vacation this week.

00:07:18.060 But there's been some stuff going on.

00:07:19.880 There has been.

00:07:20.460 I was reading the internet a little bit.

00:07:22.640 It was very, very difficult for me to not say anything last week when I was standing in line meeting so many people at our stage show.

00:07:32.860 And so many people came up and said, you know, you guys just have to get together.

00:07:37.680 You guys should get together with CRTV.

00:07:40.140 So we took that at heart, and we did that.

00:07:42.500 I was in one of the meet-and-greet lines in Tampa.

00:07:45.160 A woman, I swear she said exactly what wound up happening. 1.00

00:07:49.780 I almost want to go back to her and say, yeah, we took your advice and just decided to do it.

00:07:54.540 Right.

00:07:54.820 So while most were sleeping, and I've been telling you for a while, just give us some time.

00:08:01.480 We have some exciting things happening this year.

00:08:05.600 While most of us were sleeping, our developers were up very late for the last really few weeks.

00:08:12.300 They have been relaunching our website, theblaze.com.

00:08:17.040 And you can see, if you look at it, it's a pretty massive transformation.

00:08:23.600 It is, it's just the beginning.

00:08:26.520 This was just the technical changes that we're making to things.

00:08:30.340 We've been working on this for months and months and months.

00:08:33.580 But something happened to us along the way.

00:08:37.060 We wanted our website and our what's called OTT, our subscription site.

00:08:43.060 So if you subscribe, I wanted it to be clean.

00:08:45.460 I wanted it to, quite honestly, I wanted it to be a lot simpler because it's impossible to navigate.

00:08:51.680 It's been riddled with bugs for a long time.

00:08:54.940 And so we have, we've spent a long time trying to find the right partners to be able to do this for us.

00:09:01.440 Get rid of all the bugs.

00:09:02.900 And can we just make it work like Amazon or Netflix so you can find a show and it's easy?

00:09:09.160 The answer is yes.

00:09:10.840 And we launched that today.

00:09:12.860 But there's something else.

00:09:19.380 We have, we are so grateful and so blessed to finally be able to come together.

00:09:29.560 CRTV has, we have been partnering on a few things here recently.

00:09:38.240 And it just finally has made sense for everybody just to come together.

00:09:44.460 And so we have officially merged CRTV and TheBlaze.com.

00:09:51.620 It's now Blaze Media and TheBlazeTV.com.

00:09:55.680 All your news will be found at TheBlaze.com still.

00:09:59.360 But you now, if you've been a subscriber, your value of your subscription just went up an awful lot overnight.

00:10:08.000 Yeah, so if you are a subscriber to either one, for the same price that you're paying now, you get all the shows of both TheBlaze and CRTV.

00:10:16.800 Yes.

00:10:17.080 So there are dozens and dozens of shows.

00:10:20.360 Really great conservative commentators.

00:10:22.720 You know, a lot of people that, you know, our audience, you know, loves and be familiar with.

00:10:26.000 Kevin, Steven Crowder, Eric Bolling, Michelle Malkin, Graham Allen, Phil Robertson, Andrew Wilkow is back.

00:10:34.420 Yeah.

00:10:35.500 Gavin McGinnis, Matt Kibbe.

00:10:37.680 Awesome.

00:10:38.000 The Roaming Millennial, Danine Borelli, Kevin Freeman, Rick and Bubba, Kurt Schilling.

00:10:45.680 Who else?

00:10:46.500 Ben Ferguson.

00:10:48.220 Did you say Ali Stuckey, Steve Dace?

00:10:50.580 I mean, there's so many.

00:10:52.200 There's so many.

00:10:52.600 I mean, we could honestly sit here all day and listen.

00:10:54.960 There's so many.

00:10:55.880 So many great ones.

00:10:56.700 So you have you have everything from CRTV and everything from The Blaze all now under BlazeTV.com.

00:11:06.060 And we are thrilled.

00:11:07.460 Now, this will change the lineup on television.

00:11:10.060 If you happen to watch us on television, because we have access to all these great shows that will be discussed after the first of the year.

00:11:16.820 But what you need to know is if you're a subscriber already, you do have to go in just like you normally do.

00:11:23.260 Put in your email and you're going to have to change your password.

00:11:26.840 I'm sorry.

00:11:27.340 We tried everything we could.

00:11:28.580 So you didn't have to change your password.

00:11:30.060 But you do have to change your password and you'll be able to log on and get all of it.

00:11:35.860 So just poke around.

00:11:37.420 Get your two week free trial and just poke around.

00:11:40.440 By the way, if you haven't subscribed to us yet, please do.

00:11:45.300 You will notice that I have not done a big subscription drive in quite some time.

00:11:52.640 And I have said because I'm not proud of it.

00:11:55.700 And when I'm proud of it, when we have the new website done, we have everything done and I'm proud of it.

00:12:01.540 Then I will ask people, hey, give us a shot.

00:12:05.080 I want you to give us a shot.

00:12:06.460 Poke around now.

00:12:07.760 And if you go to BlazeTV.com, you can try it out.

00:12:11.220 BlazeTV.com slash Beck.

00:12:12.860 If you try it out, make sure you use the promo code BECCHRISTMAS.

00:12:20.280 BECCHRISTMAS.

00:12:21.460 Because we'll give you $20 off your annual subscription.

00:12:25.240 And that's quite a discount.

00:12:27.660 We want everybody to come on in and notice what we're doing.

00:12:31.840 And this is becoming a...

00:12:34.860 I mean, it is now a real conservative destination.

00:12:40.000 It's not just...

00:12:40.880 You're not paying for just one guy or a couple of guys.

00:12:43.380 You have now some of the biggest names in the industry all coming together.

00:12:48.920 And we are not finished yet.

00:12:51.240 We're thrilled.

00:12:52.500 It's really cool.

00:12:53.060 I think there's a huge value for anyone who's already subscribing or who's thinking about maybe subscribing to one or the other.

00:12:59.020 Now you get both for the same price as one.

00:13:01.340 I mean, to me, it's a no-brainer from that perspective.

00:13:05.080 But in addition to that, you said that it is one of the most common questions we have had probably in the last decade.

00:13:10.680 of like, you guys all are all doing your own things and that's great and I understand that.

00:13:15.140 But wouldn't it be great if you could all come together and we don't have to pay for nine different services?

00:13:19.180 Here's something where everybody in the same place, everybody kind of has the same basic values, right?

00:13:28.380 The Constitution, the Bill of Rights.

00:13:30.040 But I think what's interesting here is the real diversity of the right is on display here.

00:13:34.760 You have people who...

00:13:36.000 There's going to be a lot of disagreement, I think, between hosts, which is, I think, great and healthy.

00:13:39.600 And it represents pretty much everything from libertarian to Republican to super Trump fan to people who don't like Trump so much.

00:13:48.820 That whole aspect on the right is represented here and you need this many people to kind of get all those shoes.

00:13:55.060 And I will tell you this, it's refreshing because if you go someplace else, especially in the mainstream media, you all have to walk in lockstep.

00:14:06.100 You walk in lockstep and you do what the boss man says.

00:14:09.600 There is no boss man here.

00:14:11.400 There is no boss man.

00:14:13.620 You know, you do what you do.

00:14:17.380 That's it.

00:14:18.500 And so, you know, Mark Levin is not going to be talking to me about my show and I'm not going to be talking to him about his show.

00:14:24.780 And neither of us are going to be talking to Stephen Crowder.

00:14:27.940 Everybody does their own thing.

00:14:30.500 Do you believe in the Constitution of the United States?

00:14:32.760 Do you love America?

00:14:34.180 Are you pro-America?

00:14:35.360 Do you want to see it destroyed?

00:14:38.060 No.

00:14:38.740 Do you want to change the Constitution?

00:14:41.480 No.

00:14:42.320 You're in.

00:14:43.080 So we're not going to debut the Linda Sarsour show anytime soon.

00:14:45.840 No, no, Linda Sarsour.

00:14:46.860 It is unashamedly conservative constitutionalists.

00:14:53.040 And that runs the whole spectrum.

00:14:56.060 But you've got to love America.

00:14:57.640 You don't want to see it destroyed.

00:15:00.140 And you believe in the Constitution.

00:15:01.960 I know it's a really high bar.

00:15:04.240 This should not be a hurdle anyone has a difficulty clearing.

00:15:07.380 But no.

00:15:07.560 They do in this world.

00:15:08.560 So join us now at TheBlazeTV.com.

00:15:12.780 And I want to thank you for subscribing to The Blaze for so long and being so supportive over the years.

00:15:21.520 And, you know, one of the first things I said was we've got to all come together.

00:15:26.220 We just have to come together.

00:15:27.640 And I have been a subscriber, a paid subscriber of CRTV since Mark put it on the air.

00:15:33.160 Because I believed in him, and I believed in what he was trying to do.

00:15:37.780 And they built a really incredible machine and an incredible lineup.

00:15:44.680 And I am thrilled that we now can say we've all come together.

00:15:50.600 And I invite more to come together.

00:15:56.040 I invite you to check it out now at TheBlazeTV.com.

00:16:00.320 That's BlazeTV.com slash Beck.

00:16:03.580 Remember, promo code BECCHRISTMAS and $20 off today.

00:16:51.360 Patriot Mobile actually is going to let you invest your money into the causes that you believe in.

00:16:56.460 But most of these sell companies, they give all kinds of money to crazy, crazy causes that you work hard against.

00:17:04.020 It's true.

00:17:04.420 Why do you do that?

00:17:05.260 You can go with Patriot Mobile.

00:17:06.460 They were created to solve that problem.

00:17:08.200 They're the only conservative cell phone company in America.

00:17:22.960 Beginning today, right now, the Blaze and CRTV have come together and we have joined our voices into what is called Blaze Media.

00:17:33.880 So if you're a subscriber of CRTV, you now get everything else that we had.

00:17:38.160 If you're a subscriber of the Blaze, you now get everything that CRTV has.

00:17:42.680 And we're coming together under one banner called Blaze TV.

00:17:46.880 And we are thrilled, really, truly thrilled to be joined by some of the best voices.

00:17:53.180 But I just, I want you to know what Blaze Media is.

00:17:58.220 Blaze Media is a collection of voices that answer to themselves.

00:18:04.180 They're all independent thinkers.

00:18:07.820 And it is a, what I hope to be, an ever-growing platform for the entire spectrum on the American right.

00:18:15.780 Now, it's important that people understand what the American right is.

00:18:19.820 The American right is based on the sanctity, the power, and the dignity of the individual and a rejection of the socialist collective that is found in the American left and the European right.

00:18:36.060 That's who's coming together.

00:18:38.240 And we're thrilled.

00:18:39.880 And one of my old comrades when I was at Fox, Eric Bolling, is joining us now.

00:18:46.720 How are you doing, Eric?

00:18:48.760 Good morning, Glenn.

00:18:50.140 Great to be back with you.

00:18:52.320 I woke up to a little, wow, hey, we've got some news, I see.

00:18:55.700 My phone was popping.

00:18:57.000 I'm like, oh, wow, okay, gotcha.

00:18:59.140 So you were.

00:19:00.480 Congratulations, by the way.

00:19:01.180 Thank you very much.

00:19:02.060 And congratulations to you as well.

00:19:04.360 When you were in town, I don't know, a few weeks ago, you sat down and you said, Glenn, we just have to get together.

00:19:11.440 All of us just have to come together.

00:19:13.080 And it took everything.

00:19:13.920 I almost bit my tongue in half to not tell you, we're going to, Eric, we're going to.

00:19:19.660 I know.

00:19:20.300 I know.

00:19:20.680 That was funny.

00:19:21.580 You know, I visited your studio and it's just amazing, you know, the location and all that going on.

00:19:27.240 And it just struck me is that if we could combine forces and, you know, who knows, maybe other people will join us as well.

00:19:35.560 Yeah.

00:19:36.200 We'll be the go-to place for conservative talk on TV and all other media ways.

00:19:41.420 Yeah, I agree.

00:19:42.220 So, Eric, first of all, thank you for coming on today and thanks for joining.

00:19:48.080 We're going to talk to a lot of the hosts from what was CRTV, now Blaze TV, this week.

00:19:55.060 And we're thrilled to have you on and your podcast.

00:19:58.020 We're cutting into a show that will air, I think, on Thursday at 5 o'clock.

00:20:02.920 But I wanted to talk to you a little bit about Donald Trump and the border and also his G20 summit.

00:20:09.760 So can we start with the border?

00:20:11.980 Sure.

00:20:12.760 I read several stories today about how the people on the border are turning back.

00:20:22.940 The Mexicans have, I think it's an 80% disapproval rating of these people who broke into their country and tried to get into ours. 1.00

00:20:34.580 It's really turned sour. 0.84

00:20:36.900 It's turned nasty down there.

00:20:38.620 And they're starting to go back.

00:20:41.000 It looks like it, maybe, maybe, it looks like it's beginning to be over,

00:20:45.760 which I think is a gigantic win for America and a gigantic win for Donald Trump.

00:20:54.560 You know, Glenn, I remember leading up to the election and the caravan was making its way.

00:21:01.280 And we all knew on the right that this was clearly going to be a test to find out how successful they were.

00:21:06.100 Because if this caravan made it through, there would be, you know, caravan two, three and four right behind it.

00:21:10.880 And then, you know, ultimately, it would just be a freeway.

00:21:13.900 So we knew on the right and the left media was saying, oh, but they're still a thousand miles away.

00:21:19.100 Or they're still, you know, 20 days away.

00:21:21.360 It'll be past the election.

00:21:22.540 It had nothing to do with the election. 0.99

00:21:24.060 They were being really ridiculous.

00:21:25.380 I remember Stelter going on and saying, anyone who talks about the caravan should put a map up and show us where they are. 0.99

00:21:31.820 And I said to Stelter on Twitter, I said, you're out of your mind.

00:21:34.640 It's not where they are.

00:21:35.460 It's what they intend to do once they get here.

00:21:38.020 And that was like a little bit of their deflection.

00:21:40.100 Well, you know, thank God for Donald Trump doing what he did at the border, saying they're not coming across. 0.79

00:21:46.980 They're not coming over.

00:21:48.060 Now, there's a video circulated.

00:21:50.660 Boy, I can't remember the group that it was.

00:21:52.860 That literally is a Tijuana and walked up and down.

00:21:55.760 Oh, it was either Ari Horowitz who was.

00:21:59.940 It was Epic.

00:22:00.840 It was Epic Times.

00:22:02.200 That's who it was.

00:22:02.640 OK.

00:22:02.880 All right.

00:22:03.060 And literally, Glenn, it was a three-minute video, and you do not see a woman or a child in this video at all.

00:22:09.900 Yet Reuters publishes the one picture of a tear gas canister flying past the woman holding two kids in diapers or a kid in diapers.

00:22:17.480 And that was their symbol instead of what was really going on.

00:22:20.620 This was a male, young male-dominated caravan that was looking for financial asylum, not political asylum.

00:22:26.520 We talked about this ad nauseum, but here's the good news.

00:22:29.020 The good news is as it dissipates, the rest of Central America, this whole world basically says Donald Trump means business at the border, so don't try and come through here.

00:22:37.220 Don't try and come through our borders as a way to infiltrate the United States for a better economic condition. 0.58

00:22:41.180 That is the message that I got.

00:22:43.600 The interview that I saw today, they interviewed a lot of the people who came up in this quote-unquote caravan.

00:22:51.580 By the way, we should ask Brian Stelter and everyone else.

00:22:54.980 Yeah, they were so far away.

00:22:56.560 How did they get to the border so quickly?

00:22:59.960 Who paid for those buses? 0.93

00:23:02.400 Something that we know, but they will never expose. 0.97

00:23:06.160 Don't even say it, Glenn, because you're a racist. 0.99

00:23:08.040 If you say it, I'm sorry, you're a anti-Semite. 0.99

00:23:10.880 Yes, I know.

00:23:11.780 Yes, I know.

00:23:12.600 He'll remain unspoken.

00:23:14.620 Unspoken.

00:23:16.200 The guy's in the shadows.

00:23:17.900 So the message that I'm seeing in print today are the messages that say, basically, we were told this was going to be easy.

00:23:29.220 We were told that America would accept us.

00:23:31.740 We were told, just come, and that was a lie.

00:23:35.940 That message going back into even Mexico and Central and South America is really important because it will stop people who want to exploit those who really do have troubles, even economic.

00:23:51.740 It will stop that.

00:23:53.080 People will say, that's not even true.

00:23:54.340 Don't listen to those guys.

00:23:55.700 But it also sends a message that, for the first time, I think maybe since Eisenhower, that we are serious about the border.

00:24:04.080 I think you're right, and we forget that there were a lot of even Republican presidents that were offering forms of amnesty for people who made it here.

00:24:15.800 Reagan.

00:24:16.480 Reagan.

00:24:16.680 Absolutely.

00:24:17.380 Absolutely.

00:24:17.760 George Bush was never really rough on the border.

00:24:20.040 No.

00:24:20.720 Glenn, you're right, 100%.

00:24:21.820 But if the litmus test became or the judge has to adjudicate on whether or not people would be offered a better economic lifestyle here in America, then there are 6.5 billion people that would be here.

00:24:37.520 That never could have been the reason.

00:24:39.800 But the fact is, and again, we've all talked about this 100 times, but they showed their hands in the caravan when they didn't stop in Mexico because they were no longer in fear of their lives.

00:24:49.000 They left their home country, and they were absolutely given an opportunity to at least make their case in Mexico.

00:24:55.260 They didn't want that.

00:24:55.940 They didn't stop there.

00:24:56.700 They needed to get to our border and hear from the other end of the tear gas canister.

00:25:01.980 Tear gas is not racist.

00:25:04.380 We use that to control crowds right here in the United States against anyone without any sort of bias at all.

00:25:12.340 So all these other lefties who say they were instructed to use tear gas because of Trump, so he must be a racist against Latin Americans or Latinos or Hispanics. 0.98

00:25:22.120 That's insane. 0.92

00:25:22.940 We use that in our cities to control crowds.

00:25:25.760 Well, I will just say this.

00:25:26.900 For anybody who might have said that, they should look at history because four years prior to the day, four years prior to the tear gas canister,

00:25:36.220 there was another uprising at the border at the same location under Barack Obama.

00:25:42.260 Tear gas was launched, also pepper balls and tasers.

00:25:47.240 So I think Donald Trump was restrained, and the other stat that everyone should know is that under Barack Obama, tear gas was launched 1,600 times to stop people from coming over the borders.

00:26:00.580 When it comes to Donald Trump, Eric, talking to Eric Bolling, host of America, which has Eric right in it.

00:26:09.660 I didn't know that.

00:26:10.220 You can't control America without Eric.

00:26:11.860 Yeah, that's right.

00:26:13.100 So Eric Bolling, who is from CRTV, which is now part of Blaze TV.

00:26:20.000 Eric, I call balls and strikes on Donald Trump.

00:26:22.740 Some things I like, some things I don't like.

00:26:25.120 For instance, the border, really good.

00:26:27.220 I got to give him credit on the Jim Acosta thing.

00:26:30.640 When the Jim Acosta thing happened, you know, I think Donald Trump is a hothead and says a lot of things that is like, okay, that wasn't necessary.

00:26:37.660 Might feel good.

00:26:38.440 Might be funny.

00:26:39.260 Not necessary.

00:26:40.300 Not helpful.

00:26:41.560 But when it came to Jim Acosta, I watched that exchange, and I saw a restrained president.

00:26:48.540 He was like, well, thank you for informing of that.

00:26:50.820 Well, you and I have a disagreement on this.

00:26:52.840 But after the dust all settled, there was no one in the media that played, except for the right media, that played the audio of Jim Acosta.

00:27:02.360 Everything he said to the president during that exchange was wrong, was proven wrong once they got to the border.

00:27:11.100 Well, let me dismantle this a little bit.

00:27:17.100 Playing your balls and strikes on the president, that's what American journalism is about. 0.52

00:27:21.120 You absolutely should be doing what you're doing and have a right to be doing.

00:27:24.420 I disagree with you on a lot of them.

00:27:26.280 I think his gruffness or his vulgar at times, especially in the president's office, annoys a lot of people.

00:27:35.840 I think it's what got him elected.

00:27:37.220 I don't think he would have a conservative in the White House, unless it was someone different.

00:27:42.920 I don't think Jeb Bush would have beat him.

00:27:44.340 I don't think Ted Cruz would have beat him.

00:27:46.980 I don't think there's anyone on that stage on the Republican side that would have beat Hillary Clinton, except for someone new like Donald Trump.

00:27:52.200 So you've got to take some of the bad with the good.

00:27:54.440 As far as the Acosta thing, this is important.

00:27:56.560 I think no one's really touched on this, but that was handled so well.

00:28:00.560 And I will tell you why that happened.

00:28:02.580 But Bill Schein was only about five or six months into the job when this kind of heated up with CNN and Acosta.

00:28:11.000 That was handled the way it was because of Bill Schein.

00:28:13.440 There was a certain amount of presidential restraint in that whole intercourse.

00:28:17.920 And look, it came out very well at the end.

00:28:21.360 Acosta sat down back into his high chair in the front row of the briefing room.

00:28:27.120 Sarah Sanders fielded his questions.

00:28:30.060 Civility returned to the briefing room because of Schein.

00:28:33.000 Bill Schein is probably the best influence on President Trump I've ever seen.

00:28:36.620 I think this guy is going to be – I personally think – now, you know, let's be honest.

00:28:41.540 He's a friend of mine.

00:28:42.660 I've known him for 15 – Schein, 15 years, as long as I've known Donald Trump.

00:28:46.300 And I think Donald Trump will be well, well served, the American people will be well served if Schein were to rise to the ranks of chief of staff at some point.

00:28:54.800 But I think you saw that media interaction with Acosta tone down or, you know, the bomb defuse because of Bill Schein's influence on him.

00:29:04.660 So I think that's where that was headed.

00:29:06.680 And, yeah, but it wasn't that Acosta was wrong in that instance.

00:29:10.800 They're always wrong.

00:29:11.540 They are just nitpicking the president to pieces, just whatever he says, they'll go the other way.

00:29:16.940 And no better evidence than if you go back over history and video, you can see Bill Clinton saying we should be closing our borders down.

00:29:25.500 You can hear Barack Obama saying we should close our borders down.

00:29:28.480 You can even hear Nancy Pelosi saying we should take no more illegal.

00:29:31.960 So, I mean, it's just – it wasn't the policy issue.

00:29:34.980 It was Donald Trump, and they needed to go the other way.

00:29:37.240 Eric Boulding, a friend that we worked together at Fox News, and he's left Fox, joined CRTV, and now CRTV has merged with The Blaze, and it is blazetv.com.

00:29:50.060 Eric, you know, the – you and I agree fundamentally on tariffs, that they are bad.

00:29:58.960 But your case, as I understand it, has been he's doing these tariffs as a negotiation ploy.

00:30:05.120 It looks like there was some good news coming from China.

00:30:09.240 China said they're going to drop the tariff on our cars, which will help an awful lot.

00:30:14.540 But they haven't reached an agreement yet.

00:30:16.540 What are your thoughts on the tariff?

00:30:18.200 I think – and the reason why I know this is because I've spoken to Donald Trump about it.

00:30:23.160 Like when the first – you know, the retaliatory tariffs – when he first announced some retaliatory tariffs against the European Union,

00:30:32.740 against Mexico, against Canada, and, you know, threatened to blow up NAFTA, which he did.

00:30:38.520 I was – I spoke to him about it.

00:30:40.120 I said, what's the plan here?

00:30:41.140 And he literally said, I don't want higher tariffs.

00:30:43.300 And for you and I, Glenn, as, you know, you're a true libertarian.

00:30:46.620 I'm a quasi-libertarian, conservatarian.

00:30:49.100 I hate higher taxes, tariffs on anything, higher fees on anything, you know, get government out of the way.

00:30:55.840 So I hated it.

00:30:56.900 So when I spoke to him, I said, what's this all about?

00:30:59.220 And he literally said, this is about getting them to reduce theirs. 0.72

00:31:02.280 If they reduce theirs, we'll reduce ours.

00:31:04.260 And, you know, we talked about it in the left and say, oh, no, this is just a way of raising money.

00:31:08.960 It wasn't.

00:31:09.520 And as evidenced by – look what – first of all, he renegotiated NAFTA for a better deal for the United States.

00:31:17.620 Next was the EU.

00:31:18.660 The European Union said, yeah, we're going to have to play ball with him.

00:31:21.400 They're in the negotiation process of the tariff structure.

00:31:24.840 And now China says, let's take a – I don't know, was it a 90-day moratorium, and we'll figure out from there.

00:31:30.080 He's winning the trade war.

00:31:31.580 You know why he's winning the trade war?

00:31:32.940 Because we're still the strongest economy in the world.

00:31:35.560 We're the biggest customer to the world, to China, to the European Union, to the rest of the world.

00:31:40.400 When you're the customer, you have leverage.

00:31:42.600 We have never, as an American people, as a president, used our leverage of being the biggest customer in the world to get a better deal.

00:31:49.220 Finally, Donald Trump comes along and uses the leverage and will reduce both sides of the tariff, incoming and outgoing, if they do.

00:31:57.600 This is brilliant, and I'm glad he's holding all these countries' feet to the fire.

00:32:02.440 We will have a freer world trade system if this goes through.

00:32:06.340 And I think it looks like all evidence is that they are going to work.

00:32:09.300 Eric, what time does your show post every day?

00:32:12.240 We posted 5 p.m. Eastern on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of every day.

00:32:16.300 I have a question, though, for you, Glenn.

00:32:17.740 Yeah.

00:32:18.300 At the company picnic, the tug of war.

00:32:22.920 Yes.

00:32:23.280 It will be me, I'll have Levin, I'll have Crowder, Phil Robertson.

00:32:27.660 You know, Allie Stuckey is amazing.

00:32:29.320 She's so strong, too.

00:32:30.600 And Michelle Malcolm, we'll just have her, you know, by barking orders at us, yelling, pull, pull, pull. 1.00

00:32:35.080 Who do you have on your side?

00:32:36.760 It's like Glenn Beck is like the, you know, the knot at the end of the rope on the tug of war.

00:32:41.760 You're going to be holding that.

00:32:42.700 We're just going to pull you right over the line.

00:32:44.180 We only need one.

00:32:45.060 We have Jeffy, and he's an anchor.

00:32:46.920 And that's all that needs to happen.

00:32:49.400 Believe me, Eric, I'm always the guy. 0.99

00:32:50.960 When it comes to these things, I'm always the guy who's like, oh, crap. 0.99

00:32:54.620 Okay. 0.98

00:32:55.060 We'll take back.

00:32:56.680 So I get it.

00:32:58.740 Eric Bolling, thanks so much.

00:33:00.040 God bless.

00:33:05.800 This is the best of the Glenn Beck program, and we really want to thank you for listening.

00:33:09.380 Phil Robertson, who does a show called Into the Woods with Phil Robertson from the Duck Dynasty fame, is now a part of the Blaze TV.

00:33:29.400 It was CRTV, and it's being folded into the Blaze as we merge together, an announcement that came late, late last night.

00:33:36.500 But here's what he said on his show, Into the Woods.

00:33:41.760 Y'all see that?

00:33:43.320 No through traffic.

00:33:45.800 You say, what do you call that?

00:33:47.580 You call that a gate.

00:33:49.420 It's a wall.

00:33:51.700 It's a barrier.

00:33:52.620 We welcome visitors, but we ascertain whether they're going to be personally with us or not.

00:34:02.600 If they're with us, I'll unlock it, and you can come in.

00:34:08.680 I determine who comes, who goes.

00:34:13.260 Kind of like immigration.

00:34:15.000 Kind of.

00:34:15.560 Kind of like that.

00:34:16.740 Phil Robertson joins us now from Into the Woods.

00:34:19.480 Hello, Phil.

00:34:20.200 How are you?

00:34:20.600 Yeah.

00:34:22.620 Phil, are you there, Phil?

00:34:25.180 I'm here.

00:34:26.280 How are you, sir?

00:34:27.860 I'm doing well.

00:34:29.400 Good to talk to you.

00:34:31.360 You know, as I hear this clip, I think to myself, I can't believe that Americans actually are at a place where they need what really should be a first-grade education on the importance of a wall and a gate.

00:34:46.660 We have to know who's coming and going, just like I do on my own private land, you do on your private land where your home is.

00:34:58.840 It's a nation, it's a nation, it's a nation for crying out loud.

00:35:01.640 We have to have borders, and everyone has to get in line, and we need to know who's coming and going, come and sit for crying out loud.

00:35:10.620 So, but tell me how you really feel, Phil, seriously.

00:35:15.220 Well, I'm beating around the bushes a little bit.

00:35:17.660 I'm saying, yeah.

00:35:19.380 You open up a thousand miles of open territory between you and another country, you are asking for a lot of trouble.

00:35:25.960 What's happened to America is that we've lost our religion, and because of that, we've lost our morality, and because of that, we've lost our virtue, and because of that, we're operating like children, running around, tearing up stuff, waving signs.

00:35:48.680 You know, we're reaping what we have sown over this no-God thing for about the last 60 years. 0.97

00:35:56.720 It's the revenge of the hippies.

00:35:59.100 So, Phil, you know, it amazes me, because we're talking to people who do not have a plan of replacement.

00:36:08.140 I mean, our founders spent years researching and saying, okay, what worked, what didn't work in other places,

00:36:15.100 and then they found these truths that they found self-evident, which were all preached from the pulpit originally.

00:36:21.820 You're not hearing a plan to replace anything and what that actually looks like and how that works.

00:36:28.940 It's just always a morph, and the same thing could be said.

00:36:31.980 You just said we've lost our God.

00:36:33.600 We have been a civilization, the Western civilization, that was built around the images of two men, Moses and Jesus, the lawgiver and the lover.

00:36:45.100 And those two men have always been held up as, this is how we want to be fair, and this is how we want to be charitable.

00:36:56.140 And our icon was, be more Christ-like.

00:37:00.980 As those are erased, who's replacing?

00:37:04.940 What are we replacing it with?

00:37:06.380 We're replacing it with the work of the evil one.

00:37:12.080 Our struggle is not against flesh and blood.

00:37:15.880 This is Ephesians 6, about 10 and following.

00:37:20.160 It's not against flesh and blood.

00:37:22.340 We are to put on the full armor of God so that we can take our stand against the devil's schemes.

00:37:28.440 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood.

00:37:33.340 It's really not the human beings who are the problem, the ones running around hollering, and this lawless mindset that's emerged from the evil one.

00:37:44.100 We're wrestling against the rulers, the authorities, the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil and the heavenly wrath.

00:37:53.540 You know, we have been told, really almost since the dawn of time, that there would come a time where good would be evil and evil would be good.

00:38:08.280 That is right.

00:38:08.860 And I don't think it's ever been more clear.

00:38:12.540 Has it been more clear in your lifetime, Phil, than it is right now?

00:38:16.820 It is clear to Christ.

00:38:18.700 The apostle Paul wrote to the Romans, because this is verse 28, 120, when they decided not to retain the knowledge of God, he gives them over to a reprobate man.

00:38:32.640 Phil, I don't know if you have, I don't know if you've moved, but we've, your signal is breaking up horribly now.

00:38:43.260 We can't really understand you.

00:38:44.940 Are you, can you move back to where you were?

00:38:47.640 Are you there?

00:38:48.400 What's your, oh, shoot.

00:38:51.120 Okay, we're, we're, we'll try to get him back on the line, get a, get a clearer line from him.

00:38:56.640 I, I, I also, I'd love to know if he ever met the Bushes, you know, because he's, Phil's a simple guy, you know, who has been now made famously wealthy and hasn't changed.

00:39:14.780 I like his practical breakdown, though, because it's really is, you hit it perfectly.

00:39:18.180 It's, this should be easy to understand.

00:39:20.360 No, play this, play the clip again, play the clip again.

00:39:22.740 Listen to the way he's talking here.

00:39:23.920 Play the clip again.

00:39:26.640 Y'all see that?

00:39:28.560 No through traffic.

00:39:30.880 You say, what do you call that?

00:39:32.660 You call that a gate.

00:39:34.440 It's a wall.

00:39:36.560 It's a barrier.

00:39:39.060 We welcome visitors, but we ascertain whether they're going to be personally with us or not.

00:39:47.660 If they're with us, I'll unlock it.

00:39:50.180 Okay, stop.

00:39:50.700 Now, couldn't this be done by, hi, it's Elmo.

00:39:54.000 See this?

00:39:54.740 This is a gate.

00:39:55.920 And if I want you to come in, I open it.

00:39:59.860 I mean, it's the same thing.

00:40:02.600 I can't believe it's a society.

00:40:05.100 We actually have adults who don't have puppets on their hands trying to explain this to other

00:40:11.420 adults.

00:40:12.320 And it's not just immigration.

00:40:13.620 I mean, the things we're arguing over.

00:40:15.500 It's not just that.

00:40:16.500 It's all of it.

00:40:17.400 It's all of it.

00:40:19.080 Anyway, we're going to take a quick break.

00:40:20.880 Phil Robertson is now a part of the Blaze TV.

00:40:24.400 In case you haven't heard, Blaze TV has merged now with CRTV.

00:40:41.100 of shows that are now available to you.

00:40:44.760 Phil is just one of the many.

00:40:46.860 You know, we have Stephen Crowder.

00:40:49.940 Man, I've wanted to work with Stephen Crowder forever.

00:40:54.400 We have Mark Levin now on the Blaze.

00:40:57.920 Mark is the best constitutional scholar out there.

00:41:02.000 And the teaching that he does every day on Levin TV, now a part of the Blaze or just blazetv.com.

00:41:11.700 Michelle Malkin, Graham Allen, Andrew Wilkow is back on the Blaze TV.

00:41:17.460 The Roaming Millennial, Rick and Bubba.

00:41:21.000 We have a really great, great comedy arm now with Andrew Heaton and McGinnis.

00:41:30.560 Because McGinnis is being mislabeled.

00:41:32.680 McGinnis is a comedian, man.

00:41:34.760 He's a comedian.

00:41:35.620 He's a satirist.

00:41:36.820 He's a provocateur.

00:41:38.340 But that's what he is.

00:41:39.480 He's a comedian.

00:41:41.360 And between him and Andrew Heaton and Stephen Crowder, the comedy chops of the Blaze TV.

00:41:49.880 Just fantastic.

00:41:52.120 Things are heating up.

00:41:53.080 Become a part of it right now at blazetv.com slash Beck.

00:41:57.760 If you use the promo code BECCHRISTMAS, you're going to get $20 off right now.

00:42:03.400 BECCHRISTMAS is the promo code at blazetv.com.

00:42:06.500 Phil is back real quick.

00:42:08.220 Phil?

00:42:08.960 Yeah.

00:42:09.420 Hey, sorry about that.

00:42:10.800 You were just breaking up.

00:42:12.300 Well, they gave me a cell phone, which I've never owned in my life.

00:42:16.000 Now I've got a landmine.

00:42:17.040 Maybe that'll work.

00:42:17.760 Yeah, let me ask you this, Phil.

00:42:18.820 Because we were just talking about how you're just full of common sense.

00:42:23.460 Did the fame and fortune of Duck Dynasty, did it ever challenge the rock that you had built for your family or that your family stood on?

00:42:34.740 Not one iota, not one time did I ever deviate from God becoming flesh 2018 years ago, dying for our sins on a cross, being buried and resurrected.

00:42:49.240 So, no, it didn't bother me.

00:42:50.900 The hatred only spurred me on more.

00:42:53.660 You see what I'm saying?

00:42:54.340 Yes, yes.

00:42:57.000 One last thing.

00:42:58.620 We lost George H.W. Bush this weekend, and I don't know if you ever had any dealings with him, but I was struck in the remembrance of him this weekend how we have lost this simple kindness that I think he really embodied.

00:43:16.640 He was a simple, God-fearing, great, virtuous American.

00:43:25.160 No doubt about it.

00:43:26.640 Yeah.

00:43:27.580 Phil, thank you so much.

00:43:29.340 You can follow Phil at Duck Commander PR, Duck Commander PR.

00:43:33.840 Also now on TheBlazeTV.com.

00:43:40.180 This is the best of a Glenn Beck program.

00:43:46.640 I happen to enjoy this a great deal, if I may give a piece from the New York Times.

00:43:58.120 The snow is falling lightly.

00:44:00.720 My thoughts are racing darkly.

00:44:02.960 I'm feeling something foreign, something I've never felt before.

00:44:06.280 It takes me a moment to identify it.

00:44:09.440 I'm feeling sorry for the Clintons.

00:44:12.360 This is actually in the New York Times.

00:44:14.180 In the 27 years I've covered Bill and Hillary, I've experienced a range of emotions.

00:44:19.380 They've dazzled me, and they've disgusted me.

00:44:22.820 But now they're mystifying me.

00:44:25.180 I'm looking around in the Scotiabank Arena, the home of the Toronto Maple Leafs, and it's depressing.

00:44:35.140 It's two for the price of one in half of the arena.

00:44:38.360 The hockey rink is now half-curtained off, but even with that, organizers are scrambling at the last minute

00:44:44.480 to cordon off even more sections behind the thick black curtains, they say, due to lack of sales.

00:44:51.500 I paid $177 weeks in advance.

00:44:56.100 I passed on the pricey meet-and-greet option.

00:44:58.940 On the day of the event, some unsold tickets were slashed to $10.

00:45:03.920 I get reassigned to another section as the Clintons' audience space shrinks,

00:45:11.480 but even with all the hurting, I'm still looking at large swaths of empty seats.

00:45:15.820 I cringe at the thought, what the Clintons will look out and see.

00:45:20.320 It was only four years ago that Canadians were clamoring to buy tickets to see the woman who seemed headed for history.

00:45:27.040 It's sad to contrast with the sold-out Bafo book tour of Michelle Obama,

00:45:31.620 who's getting a lot more personnel for premium prices.

00:45:38.400 But introspection has never been within the Clintons' range.

00:45:42.560 I can't fathom why the Clintons would make, like, aging rock stars 0.98

00:45:47.220 and go on a tour of Canada and the U.S. at the moment when the Democrats are hoping to break the stranglehold

00:45:53.520 of their cloistered leadership.

00:45:57.520 At what point, at what point will they get the point?

00:46:01.820 This is not inspirational.

00:46:03.440 It's not for charity.

00:46:04.900 They're not raising awareness about a cause like Al Gore with global warming.

00:46:08.760 They're only raising awareness about the Clintons.

00:46:11.400 It can't be money.

00:46:13.300 Have they spent all the Goldman gold yet?

00:46:16.320 Do they want to swim in their cash like Scrooge McDuck?

00:46:20.260 Again, this is the New York Times.

00:46:23.660 The Clintons' tin cup is worthy of the Smithsonian.

00:46:27.360 They've hoovered more than $2 billion in contributions to their campaigns, foundation, and philanthropies.

00:46:34.200 After the White House, the money-grabbing raged on,

00:46:37.860 with the Clintons making over 700 speeches in a 15-year period,

00:46:42.160 blithely unconcerned with any appearance of avarice or shady special interests,

00:46:47.800 and foreign countries buying influence,

00:46:50.220 they stockpiled a whopping $240 million.

00:46:55.800 Jeez.

00:46:56.560 Even leading up to her 2016 presidential run, Hillary was packing in the speeches, 0.99

00:47:02.600 talking to the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries and the American Camp Association and eBay,

00:47:09.920 and there was that infamous trifecta of speeches for Goldman Sachs worth $675,000.

00:47:16.960 They are, there is no one coming to hear them talk.

00:47:23.600 Now imagine if Bill wasn't there, how few people would actually go to these things.

00:47:30.700 And I can't imagine paying any money to see the Clintons.

00:47:34.080 What do you want to hear from them that we haven't already heard forever and ever and ever?

00:47:39.800 The left is turning on them.

00:47:41.740 And I'm telling you, if you're on the right and you're laughing at people like Ocasio-Cortez,

00:47:46.060 even though it's very easy to laugh at a lot of things she says, or Bernie Sanders,

00:47:49.820 the left likewise laughed at Donald Trump.

00:47:52.380 They were like, he'll never be president, they'll never be in power.

00:47:54.740 But the left is starting to turn on the establishment.

00:47:57.480 They're going in a different direction.

00:47:58.720 They're going on Nancy Pelosi, and she's held that one at bay.

00:48:03.020 I don't know how she's holding them at bay, but she's holding them at bay.

00:48:07.300 But they are turning on the establishment.

00:48:10.320 This is the war that the Democrats never thought that they would have to fight.

00:48:16.680 They thought, oh, we're going to use these people on the extreme left,

00:48:19.880 and we'll gain power, and we'll get the votes, and we'll be able to contain them.

00:48:25.240 No.

00:48:26.380 They have turned on you, and the Clintons are no longer there to protect you.

00:48:31.640 The Blaze Radio Network.

00:48:33.620 On Demand.
